My Korean wife needed her rice and vegetables, so drove down from Stowe looking for anything Asian. Ordered from the menu and the Kung Pow Triple Delight was very good

Once upon a time, this was my favorite place for Chinese food, but it has recently taken a bit of a downward turn. The atmosphere is nice and the building is well decorated, but the options for good has been cut back quite a bit from what it once was. You have the option to order menu items, but they really don't differ much from ehats on the buffet and it doesn't serve to all tastes. Price is alright assuming you eat a good amount, but the service leaves a bit to be desired.

I go to this place maybe once a month. Take out or eat in. The food is good and the owners are really nice people. I give it 3 stars because the place could use a freshening up some and a change up in what is offered in the buffet. But other then that I like it.

When I need to have some stir-fried tofu, I am positive this is the best place to get it.

Buffet was very salty and not a lot of selection. Not very impressed at all. The building is very run down inside and out. We won't be going back.

By far the best Chinese take out in the Montpelier area. Tasty, not greasy, and fresh ingredients. I'll definitely be coming back!

Exceeded our expectations. We did not have buffet. Menu is pretty extensive (though predictable). Spicy items were not particularly spicy. But food was very good. Not over salted. Had Bean Curd and Diced Pork in Szechuan sauce and Sesame Flavored Beef and BBQ Pork from the appetizer menu. All were good to very good. Portions were very generous. We're staying in a hotel with a microwave in the room, so...breakfast is served. Total bill for 2 (4 nice meals with leftovers) was $29.xx. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were just passing through but if we lived there, we'd be regulars.

Guess I am spoiled by Grand Buffet, but this place was pretty bad, the buffet at least. Most food was edible, some flavor but nothing was good at all. Hot and Sour soup was like Luke warm dish waster without the soap. Will never come again!

Take-out review. Staff super-efficient and friendly. Food ready right on time. Pan-fried dumplings get an A-plus. Kung Pao chicken more in the B-minus range; needed more flavor. (Ordered on 10/8/2011, about 8 p.m.)

It's a tradition. Whenever I visit my mother here (89) a group of us go to tangs on Sunday dinner. This is not authentic Chinese but the quality is ok and as a buffet generally better than the mass produced buffet places in NJ. Steer away from some of the greasy stuff in favor of the dishes with veggies. Service is friendly at least if you're a regular.

House of Tang!?!?!?!? I'm hereby nominating this Chinese eatery for an award. This is the single best instance of inadvertent use of sexual innuendo in a restaurant name I've ever witnessed and House of Tang deserves recognition. Josh, my brother and I came here on a blustery day, lured into the establishment by a sign that beckoned like a modern-day siren song. Exotic fantasies from the deep corners of the Orient filled my head with forbidden possibilities. At first we were a little let down by the absence of tang, but we settled into a booth and each ordered Scorpion Bowls for two. We had an accompaniment of dumplings and crab rangoon to temper the fire of the 151 and the sweetness of the rum and juice. Everything was pretty tasty: the dumplings were fried to a golden brown, the crab rangoon was light and fluffy and the drinks packed the appropriate wallop. The funny thing is that during the course of our snack one hot waitress after another emerged from the recesses of the back of the house. For a town not known for good-looking girls, this spot really was a bastion of sexy, an emporium of beauty... ...a house of tang.

Just so-so food. The only reason you would want to eat there is because you we're just craving Chinese food. Other wise find something else

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
