So we got cash from everyone, wrote down what we wanted, called up this place to make an order for a dozen pizzas and a meatball sub. We were flat out denied by the girl saying "we can't do that". Apparently if you're hungry and have money, this place doesn't give a frig. Don't bother here, go and get better pizza and better service somewhere else.

What do I say about a a pizza place slash nightclub that wants to charge you $5 cover to wait an hour for some pizza on a Saturday night? (10 o'clock at night mind you, not 1 in the morning or anything crazy) Are you kidding me? Pizza and nightclubs have no business being combined into one. Ludlow was a lovely place to visit but this was a major fail!

This place was absolutely ridiculous. Just an all around unreal experience. It was so unreal, that my group wasn't even upset about any of the outrageous stuff that was happening around us because it was so funny. First off, the wait was crazy long, but it was a weekend and we expected that. But it got so long that I started to feel bad for the people who were coming in after us. The next thing was the "deals" they were offering. Let's just say they weren't quite deals for the customer. It was pretty expensive, even for a ski town. The worst part of all was the atmosphere. First off, Outback Pizza & Nightclub? I didn't want to come here once I heard the name. That sounded awful. The layout of the entire place is mindboggling. They had a giant JENGA game going right next to the bar where we were trying to sit as we waited. The pieces were enormous and they were flying everywhere. Then, two feet from that was a pool table, which is fine, but there were 10 kids with cue sticks slapping pool balls all over the place! It was actually crazy. At some point an employee needs to ask the parents to take control of their kids. I think there was a hide and seek game going on throughout the "club". The best thing about our visit here was when after 45 minutes of waiting we just left and went somewhere else. That was the best call of the night by far.

Awful service tried to call in a order to pick up after the second pizza I was told they can't take our order. Glad you saved us from bad pizza

Went in there around 9pm to have a drink and grab some food with my brother. We went there exclusively because they have outside seating. However, even with that, the drinks were gross and the food was even worse. They made our cocktails way to Sugary and I'm pretty sure there was barely a shot in them. In addition, the pizza was flavorless and they didn't even offer hot wings!

Middling pizza... out of three places in Ludlow, it's #2. However, the 1/2 pound burgers are fantastic! the layout is like an old ski lodge, video games on the top floor and free popcorn while you wait for your food or your table.

Amateur act at best. Made just about every mistake they could make. They need someone to fix the place. Its broken.

I didn't have a good experience. Very long wait after we ordered. 1 hour. Screaming playing jumping children., pizza crust grainy and not what I would have expected. ,waitress was sub par , and place looked a bit run down. Overall I'm only giving 1 star which is very rare for me.

My girlfriend and I stopped here yesterday after a wonderfull week on Lake Champlain. Worst place I've ate at in Vermont. Food was generic frozen stuff you find at Stop and Shop, but they play it up on the menu BIG time. The waitress was polite, but terrible at her job. Pizza was OK, but nothing special and not worth $16 for a small. Put it this way....I just downloaded YELP so I can write a review about this place. Don't go! There are many other places you can blow $60 and feel treated and not tricked.

Home of the $8 draft!!! I got charged the same thing the next day in the Cleveland Airport. I expect to get gouged in an airport bar, I don't expect it at one of 6-8 pizza joints within a mile of each other! One large 4 cheese pizza, one draft, one diet coke and the bill is over 30 bucks? Off season? There were probably 6 people in the whole place. I'll avoid this during ski season for sure. More details if you want them: 1) The waitress announced that they only had Pizza because they had a problem with an oven. They were going to close but unfortunately customers came in. I'm not kidding, that's what she told us. I almost left so they could close since clearly she was disappointed they were open. 2) The pizza was good. Real good. It was also good cold the next day. 3) There are outside tables that I think are self-serve. Could be nice, though. 4) Park at the top if you can find room. It looks like the lower level is the main parking area but it is really overflow. The locals and regulars park at the top of the hill.

Only redeeming part is that the live music was awesome. But we had to wait over an hour to be seated. We asked if we could get the pizza to go so we didn't have to wait and they told up they didn't do take out. Later we found out they do take out but they were "too busy". We eventually got seated at booth at the bar where you shared a bench with the booth on either side of you so you didn't have a back to rest on and one side of our table was a pool table that had a piece of wood covering it. Very uncomfortable after waiting for over an hour. It took them probably another 30 mins to even come to our table to take our order, which we had prepared promptly. While we waited someone must have spilt something upstairs because one member of our party was getting dripped on from the ceiling. The place overall was not very clean feeling especially since there were cobwebs all over the ceiling. Could have been a good place. Service sucked. Never going back. Didn't even want to give them my money the first time but we were already committed. Only gave it a 1-star raining because I couldn't give it a 0.

We like going to this low-key pizza place, bar/restaurant when in Ludlow VT. Try the Hawaiian and Quattro Formagio, along with plain cheese and basic pies. The bevy of selections that Outback suggests, are somewhat over complicated and the ingredients don't quite go together. However they have a wood fire pizza grill, and their pies are very good. Its a little bit of a dive, but we like it that way. DJs on the weekends and a good fun atmosphere. Last time we were here they were out of many beers. All in all its a good casual place to eat, affordable and fun for groups.

I really enjoyed this place! My bf and I recently took a mini-trip to Vermont and came here for dinner one night. We ordered wings as an appetizer and one large pizza to split between the two of us. The pizza was nice and saucy -- just the way I like it! The ambiance was kinda dive-y, but a good place to hang out and grab a beer and some pizza (plus lots of TVs). -L.

Horrible food and poor service. And their tap lines were so dirty that some of our favorite beers didn't even taste remotely familiar. Really, really bad experience.

We've now been here 5 separate times since the summer. Hands down, best pizza place in Ludlow. Why? The wood-fired oven churns out really tasty pizza. Bottcha Galoo is our favorite with sausage, pepperoni and a bunch of cheese. But the BBQ is pretty good too. Good sizes, right prices. It's got nice little nooks for seating and its just got that Vermont feel to it. Really good beers on tap too. After years of so-so places at the bottom of Okemo mountain, it's quickly become our go-to place in town. Perfect for takeout and eat-in. And really good for families too. Our kids love this pizza. Can't wait to get it again soon.

This place is hysterical. Total local hang out- young and great for people watching. Not the most friendliest to outsiders during off season but we made the best if it. They make really good drinks. Try the mojito's and California lemonade . I think this place must be a blast during ski season

Its sad because I really should have liked this place more. The DJ was great, the staff was very polite and the overall night was fun. Hmmm what could have been wrong? Maybe $4 for a draft PBR! In Boston you pay $3 for a PBR tallboy and $2 for a draft. Why would you take advantage of blue collar people, in blue collar VT trying to by a cheap blue collar beer? Makes no sense to me or any of my friends that went out that night. We will have to think very long and hard before returning there and expecting reasonable priced beverages.

Well where do I start? It's a holiday weekend and very busy at Okemo.........I guess no one told this place. It was an hour wait for a table which I expected. But there were many tables that remained empty for 30 to 40 minutes. We did get a table in about 40 minutes. Then it was time to order.....we were starving and just wanted a pizza.... then we were told the pizza would take at least an hour!!! so we said ok...so we ordered the Nachos as an appetizer. And 40 minutes later we had them. They didn't lie....the pizza did take an hour....and sadly it could have used another 5 minutes in the oven. This is a pizza place....it can't be that hard. One star is for the nice staff (they really tried).

Located at the bottom of the Okemo mountain just north of the access road and almost across from the clocktower strip shopping center, this place is clearly set up to rock. It was opened by the same folks who brought you Outback Pizza & Nightclub in Killington, which I hear is quite the institution up there. I'll leave it to someone else to review the nightclub scene - as I said, it looks like it rocks. It even has an outdoor area set up, presumably for smokers or overflow. In terms of the pizza, it was quite tasty. Typical northen New England pizza, with a thicker, chewier crust than New York or New Haven style, and heavy on the oregano. Not my favorite style, but well executed. Perhaps the best in town, although we like Wicked Good Pizza for take-out. In addition to the cheese pizza, we had the Vermont BLT, which had bacon, artichoke, cheddar and some other stuff. We also had the garlic sticks - these were almost like garlicky, cheesey soft pretzel sticks. The pizza is served on wooden paddles on little stands above the table. This is a fun place, with multiple levels, including a game room at the top you can send your kids to while you wait for your pizza. They have lots of specials mid-week and early - all-you-can-eat pizza buffets, free wings, etc. When we were there, the service was a little confused - our waitress came over a bit late, saying there had been a miscommunication as to whose table it was, our garlic sticks didn't arrive until the first pizza came, and one of our pizzas was the wrong one and we had to wait quite some time for a replacement. We were offered an apology, but nothing else. Without the service issue, this might have just made four stars.

Solid, but unspectacular. Truthfully, I'm just writing this note to myself, so that next time I'm in Ludlow I try another pizza place instead, like Goodman's. As you were.

Wood-fired pizza set in a rustic, new england-style vibe. Almost barn-like on the inside with plenty of peeled-pine accents, slab tables and very laid back. An unasssuming and old-school pizzeria feel abounds here. Maybe a dozen taps with some locals but mostly mainstream craft brews. Service was good as were the pizzas and ceasar salads. A bit pricey but I would go back.

I hate giving a place 2 stars, but come on.... the service here is almost as lousy as the pizza. This town needs a strip club or something. SnowBunnies anyone?

As a food critic that travels, this is the best of what ludlow has to offer in the terms of pizza. It is a tad pricey and the actual dining area is small.

Pretty good pizza place in this small town. The service was good, as was the food. Things were a little slow on the Saturday night I visited, but the atmosphere was alright.

A local hang-out with a great atmosphere, good food and a large variety of local beers. Totem poles and other figures of animals dot the restaurant. Dangling over the dance floor is a safari truck filled with plants. According to a local bartender at Okemo Mountain Resort, locals get drunk at the Irish Pub just down the street and them come over to Outback around 11 for dancing. We ate here twice during our stay in Ludlow and enjoyed it both times. The pizza is good but not great. If you do order a pizza create your own because the flavors of the specialty pizzas are a little bizarre and in our case tasteless. The grilled cheese, however, is really good and everybody enjoyed the green-bean fries. We ate here twice during our stay in Ludlow and enjoyed it both times. If I come back to Ludlow I'm sure to come back because you can't beat the quality for the price. FYI: The popcorn in the front is up for grabs. Dip one of the bowls stacked next to the machine and have at it. Just don't expect the waitress to bring you any!!!

The pizza was good but the promise of "30 minutes" turned into 60 minutes. We arrived at 30 minutes and they said it wasn't ready yet, it wasn't ready for another 30 minutes. The place appeared to be auditioning for Gordon Ramsey's kitchen confidential. The cook stopped to make more dough, the bar tender left the bar and covered the pizza prep, the girl covering the register stopped and moved to the pizza prep so the bar tender could move back to the bar. If my pizza wasn't 30 minutes late it would have been comical. But the pizza was good.

Waitress was a mess... Acted as if we were bothering her! Pizza took 40 min and she never came over to get another beer order...WTF thanx for nothing. I'll drive into town next time.

Beer lines were effed up, waitress complained about her life, ordered four pizzas TO GO. 3/4 were burned crust. I said something I believe fairly loud and nobody offered a solution. I know wood fired pizza, these were effed. Why does this place make Killington's location look bad? Bad for the brand guys. Come on. So much potential here.

Outback Pizza & Nightclub a combination of 2 things you would not think were combinable but they do so in Killington and Ludlow. I have been to the Outback Pizza in Killington in "nightclub" mode. (Loud random music, Expensive beers, everyone gets in, 4:1 guy to girl ratio) Par for the course with Killington/Ludlow nightlife. My share is in Ludlow so I just decided to try the pizza there since we have been nearly everywhere in Ludlow already. Well it is not very good. They do indeed have a wood fired oven so they are not some fake brick oven place but their sauce tastes like canned sauce and their crust sucks... oh the topping sucks as well. The service was OK and food came out fast but it is definitely the worst pizza I ever had coming out of a wood fired oven. Sure it is not NYC, and I scold people for not rating things relative to the area but Goodman's pizza right down the road is massively better than this! Rating as a "nightclub" relative to the area 3 stars, food 1.5 stars.
