Wow what a great find!! Amazing food! We had the French onion burger with sweet potato fries and maple mustard...SO good!! Fish and chips...the fish was huge and so very good! Also the burger in a bowl (which is a burger over disco fries)...amazing! So delicious! And also the zucchini Parmesan pasta (exact name of it I can't remember). Also so good! This place was fantastic and am hoping to go again before heading back home to FL. Wish we could take this place back home with us!!

Bartender has a terrible attitude. What a jerk. Who hired this guy? No, really, who interviewed this guy and was like, "He's great! We want him as the face of Village Tavern". Was more interested in hooking up his hoodie boy buddies than taking care of us. Obviously he's too cool for us regular folks. You're in the service industry, I'm sorry your music career is crap but come on, get over yourself and smile and be a professional. I only ordered the broccoli cheddar bites. They were disgusting, inedible. The motto here should be "We're not happy until you're not happy." Good luck.

Okay, so the Stowe "area" (and I say that in a general sense, as Jefferson is a hefty hour away, especially if a truck manages to get itself stuck in the Notch, causing a detour) has a fair amount of dining options, but Jeffersonville has only about three. We went to The Village Tavern after a long day and the menu appealed to everyone in my party. The first warning sign should have been the fact that there were only two servers--one for indoors and one for outdoors. Our server was very pleasant, but it was clear that he had a lot to handle. Basically, the short story is this: an hour after we ordered our food still hadn't arrived. After inquiring, we were told by the other server that it would be about five minutes because the kitchen was busy. Over ten minutes later, with one of the members of my party ready to give up and leave, we finally got our food. The good news: THE FOOD WAS PRETTY GOOD. It was hot and delicious, so no complaints there (except some may like their fries crunchier). Final score: 2.5 out of 5. Maybe we just came on a busy day, the food was good, but it was hectic.

The Village Tavern is located right in the heart of the little village of Jeffersonville. It is in the bottom of The Smugglers Notch Inn. The food is good pub fare. I had a delicious burger. Theres some tvs too. Service was friendly. Food seemed fresh. Prices were fair. Definitely recommended. A solid meal.

After a long afternoon of skiing at Smuggler's Notch, we were very hungry and looking for a quick, no-frills meal. We decided to just pull over at the first place we saw that looked like it might fit the description, and we got lucky with The Village Tavern! Home-made veggie burger! Score! The bartender/server was super friendly and attentive in spite of the fact that she was the only person working the bar and the tables. The veggie burger was tasty and had a nice crisp on the outside. It came with tasty fries and was very satisfying. Exactly what we were looking for.

During our family trip to Smugglers Notch Resort we wanted to eat elsewhere one night and found the Village Tavern. We are upstairs in the "dining room", not downstairs in the bar. They were family friendly, it was a nice atmosphere and our server was very nice. She handled all the tables well and with a smile. The food was really delicious. I had the chicken burrito and it was great. Spicy and hearty with Spanish rice in the side. My husband had a homemade veggie burger and it was really tasty and filling. We shared a large salad with the kids and it was enough. Good wine selection too. Definitely would recommend.

We made reservations for 14 people and arrived 15 minutes early. We were seated outside in the sun and served drinks promptly. However, our meals didn't show up until 1 hr and 45 minutes later. Each time we asked we were assured they were ready, yet we weren't served. The food was good, but by the time it arrived the sun had gone down, it was cold and we were eating in the dark. Definitely not the place to go with a group. We were very disappointed, to say the least.
