We ended up at Pascolo's after lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was slightly warm out, so we opted to sit inside at the bar. We had the entire place to ourselves. The bartender was excellent; she was really good with recommendations. She also gave us a few ideas of where to go for dinner. Since we were having a late lunch, we kept it light; drinks and calamari. The calamari was excellent. Perfect breading, not oily....really good. Service was excellent as well. Again, a very friendly bartender who was helpful. Next time we're in town, we want to stop here for dinner. The big wood fired oven in the kitchen looked awesome.

Fantastic food with an Italian accent. Fresh pasta and gnocchi with smoked mushrooms and cream, succulent salmon, sausage and spinach over pappardelle. All perfectly done. For dessert, Jimmy Carter sundae (peanut brittle over house made gelato topped with a generous dollop of cream. Great wine selection. Our waitress knew the wines well. Service was extremely attentive. We sat downstairs which is cozy, especially in winter. I like the open kitchen. For summer, I think sitting al fresco on Church is preferable.

Yummy! Calamari was ok. The marinara sauce made it. It also came with a sauce that looked like mayo and pretty much tasted like a more tangy mayo. I don't know what it was exactly because we had initially wanted mussels but they were out. We just quickly ordered Calamari in lieu. Our entrees were delicious. Fennel sausage pappardelle and eggplant parm. On point. As was the tiramisu. Note: we were torn between which pappardelle plate to order and discussed this with the waiter. we had actually ordered the mushroom pappardelle but got the fennel one instead. We were still happy. Common mistake. But he talked the mushroom one up so well ;) perhaps next time.

This place was awesome. The service was good as well as the food. The prices were fair and even underpriced in my opinion! I will definitely come again!

If you haven't been to this space since Nika's closed, the first thing you'll notice is how open and empty the new restaurant looks. They removed anything interesting about the design leaving bare walls and a plain white tile floor. Considering the Farmhouse Group knows how to properly decorate a basement (Farmhouse) I really don't understand how they could fail so miserably here. In case you think I'm only disappointed by the ambiance, indeed the food is marginal as well. It's not bad, just not nearly interesting enough for the price or to make up for the dark, cold & echoey ambiance.

I came here after viewing the website for the Farmhouse Group of restaurants. We came when there was a $40 special for two appetizers and two entrees. Overall, the ambiance and the low lighting of the restaurant made for a great dinner spot or date night spot. However, the food was just okay to me. As a fan of Italian food, I look for great flavor and really savory flavors. I didn't get quite that, but it was okay food for a good price given this is dinner in Downtown/Church Street. I ordered the Pitchfork Farm Beets with house ricotta, aged balsamic. This was actually the best part of my dinner. The beets were fresh and juicy and the ricotta and balsamic went perfectly with the beets. No problems here! For my main dish, I ordered the Orecchiette Fricone with crushed cherry tomatoes, garlic, arugula, pecorino. To me, the cherry tomatoes should have been crushed a little more to create more of a sauce. To me, I always try see if a dish is better than what I could make at home. This was just alright to me. Maybe I shouldn't have ordered this because I can make this at home, but it was just okay. My friend's meal looked better (she ordered the PAPPARDELLE FUNGHI mushrooms, Marsala, rosemary, truffle cream). Overall, it was okay. I would come again if there are specials or if I know I'm going to do the $40 dinner for two special. The service was great (and everyone working there was rather attractive...if that made dinner better, I will take it). I enjoyed the decor and the physical environment (you're underground). Would try again to see if my food selection was just what made this okay for me the first time.

Best Italian I've had, hands down. We stopped here for lunch earlier this summer and a kid across the street was playing the violin, people were milling around.. it really felt like being in Italy! The food was absolutely delicious. We had the smoked mushroom pasta and also split a Caprese appetizer. When we asked for bread, they gave us a side of olive oil with garlic to dip it in. We also tried their house lemonade which was yummy and not too sweet. I'd recommend this to anyone who's going to be in the area!

As big fans of the farmhouse group we were excited for pascolo and figured it would become a regular for us. However after about a half dozen visits we have not been back and don't see us going again. At first we were fans of their pasta dishes. The pasta is handmade and they offered typical Italian pasta dishes and sauce. From spaghetti and meatballs to carbonara with egg and pancetta (our favorite). However the prices for the portions and quality are a little high. The menu has also shrunk and some of our favorite stuff is gone. The space is dark and usually uncomfortably hot. Overall disappointing, worth a try but not in our usual rotation (we have lived in Burlington for 6 years)

Awesome. We were a little concerned after seeing other low reviews, but we took a chance and were very happy. The pasta is made in-house and you can watch the process if you like. I'm typically pretty picky about Italian food after living in Italy 10 yrs, but this was one of the better that I have found. The pizza was great, if you like thin crust, the gnocchi and pasta were also great. This place definitely deserves some higher ratings based on my experience.

Surprised to see the low reviews for this place - we went before the marathon - as most wanted to fill up on pasta. We loved it - I had a side salad to start - and it was fresh and delicious! I had the fresh made pasta with meat sauce and again, it was delicious. Everyone really enjoyed their dishes from chicken parm to some seafood pasta. It's not what I would call "kid friendly", but we had 7 kids with us and it worked out great.

Pascolo is a new Burlington restaurant that was recently opened by the Farmhouse Group in a downstairs spot on Church Street where there has been quite a bit of turnover in the last few years. I went there last night with my cousin to celebrate her graduation from UVM. We both weren't very hungry, so decided to try a variety of the appetizers and some wine. I love El Cortijo, which is a Mexican/taco restaurant located a block away that was also started by the Farmhouse Group. The Group seems to have a knack for surveying the Burlington area, noticing what's missing and then filling the hole quite nicely. Although I'm not a fan of another sister restaurant, the Farmhouse Tap & Grill, there is no denying that it's very popular. Guild Fine Meats, another member of the Farmhouse Group eateries, is a deli/butcher in town that is great and Guild Tavern is a steakhouse that serves local aged steaks. I'm not a huge fan of Guild Tavern, but I like the fact it serves local food and good steak houses are hard to find in the area, so there is no denying it is filling a niche. There seems to be a consistent theme across the restaurants, local, flavorful, high-quality fare in somewhat casual surroundings. I will need to go back to Pascolo to try out some of the other food (bigger plates) because my first visit was underwhelming and quite disappointing. As we were sitting there, I found myself trying to figure out which demographic they were trying to address and I admit, I was having a hard time answering that question. We ordered calamari, the Caprese salad, the eggplant caponata and the mushroom bruschetta. Granted, we didn't order any pasta, pizza or main courses. Still, you can tell a lot about the quality of food served at a place by its appetizers. Having finished most of our food, my 21-year old cousin was happy, but I was disappointed. The calamari tasted stale (the batter used was flat), the eggplant caponata was heavily doused with a too sweet balsamic, the Caprese was very mediocre (bland tomatoes and ok mozzarella) and the bruschetta (we ordered mushroom but were served tomato) was pretty ok. My wine, the most expensive white by the glass on the menu (at $10), was not sophisticated or particularly good. My cousin ordered a Stella Artois beer. The servers were young and friendly but not very knowledgable about wine or food. There are a lot of restaurants that one could compare to Pascolo in town, based just on the appetizers, and by any comparison Pascolo with fall short. Trattoria Delia, the best regarded Italian restaurant in town, has a much nicer ambience and much much better food. L'Amante also serves superior quality food and offers a much more refined decor. Pizzeria Vertitas has amazing appetizers. So fresh and flavorful. And Sotta Enoteca, the new wine bar owned by Trattoria also has very flavorful and interesting appetizers. These restaurants range from somewhat casual to more dressy, but all of them are considerably more adult in ambience and in food quality. Not for everyone, by any means. So, what type of consumer is Pascolo is trying to address? I'm not sure. I will need to go back again to figure that out. From the small sample of dishes I had last night, I would compare Pascolo to an Olive Garden or perhaps a Three Tomatoes, which is the restaurant that occupied the same space two restaurants ago; a mid-range to inexpensive Italian eatery that attracted college students and people who were looking for inexpensive, ok food. This is all well and good, but I've come to expect more from the Farmhouse Group. If nothing else they are all about local, flavorful and "different" food. Not bland, lifeless mediocre food. Additionally, our apps and drinks came to $60. More expensive than the quality of the food would lead one to believe. At some point in a month or so once Pascolo is more established and seasoned, I will go back and try out other dishes and see if I come to another conclusion. For now, Pascolo is joining the ranks of places-college-kids-might-want-to-go-when-their-parents -are-in-town or places-to-go-with-the-kids eateries that dot the area. Not great. Not disgusting. But nothing to get excited about.

With all the good restaurant selections in Burlington, I'm afraid I'd have to give this one low marks. I ordered the ravioli and was very disappointed both with the quality and the presentation of the dish. I never send a meal back, but I just couldn't eat this. The ravioli was dry on the edges and the portion was very small. I ordered the Bolognese as a replacement, which was much better, but still lacking a little for the price. The waitstaff was very accommodating and very nice however.

The newest addition to the Farm House Group restaurants in Burlington. This 'upscale' Italian restaurant offers a well thought out menu. I've been twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner, both decently pleasant experiences. Staff are attentive, despite some slight confusion about anchovies on our caesar salads, and quick to refresh drinks. Pascolo has a classy/swanky atmosphere but the food somehow falls short of the ambiance. Recommendations: try the funghi pappardelle (vegetarian) or the finocchio pappardelle (made with sausage). Also, the beet salad.

Was in Burlington on business and we came here to eat. I started off with some Pinot noir and some bread as an app. Very delicious and the bread was fresh out of the oven. As additional appetizers we split fried calamari and some oysters and everything was awesome. We even used the oyster sauce as dipping sauce and the taste was so buttery and creamy. For dinner I ate their ravioli which was a lighter Alfredo/vodka sauce and it was incredible. Even though we ate a lot of food I felt the portions were perfect. My only gripe about the meal was that the 5 of us were jammed into this table and we were all climbing over each other to eat. I can see this being acceptable in a family-style Italian restaurant but this was not the case. It felt too close for comfort.

I really wanted to like Pascolo, but after going twice I don't think I'll ever go back. The third star is for sourcing local foods (otherwise I would give it two). The best thing they have going is the foccica bread and saratoga olive oil that they bring to each table. I've had the house salad, spaghetti, tagliatelle with mushroom sauce and nothing amazed me. It was just misssing anything that made it special and worth the price. I'm not that big on salt, but I had to salt my soup because it was too bland. I'm a sucker for homemade pasta, but wasn't impressed. The service was also a little slow (on a non-busy weeknight). The bartender was nice when I went and their wine selection seems decent, but otherwise I'd recommend going to the original farmhouse or Trattoria Delia if you want Italian. The food is decent but not worth the price, you can find better "just-OK" Italian.

Better than the other reviews but still not what I'd expect for the money. Great pastas and desserts didn't offset the so-so antipasto or fried calamari. The butternut squash soup was good. Service was attentive and not overbearing. I hadn't expected great Italian in Vermont and wasn't disappointed.

The frozen ravioli I get from Costco is better than the dish I got here. The ravioli pasta itself was undercooked and there was so little filling inside that I couldn't really tell it was braised beef on the inside. The lamb ragu and bucatini carbonara were not bad, and the eggplant parmigiana was mediocre at best. The plates look big on first glance, but it actually isn't that much food

Overpriced Olive Garden food masquerading as a nice Italian restaurant. First off, the staff is wholly inexperienced; they'll make you stand there for a while before even giving you a glance. I had the worst experience with one waitress. I ordered the shrimp fra diavolo which comes with shrimp, olives, parsley, and a spicy red tomato sauce; what I got was the fruitt di mare (calamari, clams, mussels, shrimp) with pasta and some tomatoes. NOT THE SAME AT ALL. When I asked my waitress if it was the fra diavolo, she insisted that it was and she seemed angry and I just didn't want her to spit in my food so I ate it. It was okay, but not that good and not what I wanted. I admit, I should have just stood up for myself, but is the waitress that incompetent that she wouldn't know the difference between two completely different dishes? What's more, my friend and I were both drinking our drinks (the cocktails were good, we both got fernet mulos. refreshing.) and we still had a few sips left when she passive agressively said, "Are you guys done with that or are you just nursing it?" Geez, if you need more glasses just take it instead of being rude. Oh, and my friend got the chicken parm. Bleh. I called the manager and she seemed apologetic and left me a voicemail offering to make it better, but honestly, I wouldn't come back here even if they comped my entire meal. I'm not going to be insulted by the person who brings me my food. And yeah, now that I've written this review, I'm angry all over again. I'm not saying that no one should come here, but at least at the Olive Garden they pretend to be somewhat polite. For an upscale Italian place, go to Trattoria Delia. They have professional service and they have delicious food that's worth the price. Edit: The waitress I was talking about reached out to me via private message on here saying no one put her up to it. Suspicious. Anyway, she offered to make it up to me but she upset me all over again by telling me that she didn't hear me properly. WELL ASK ME TO REPEAT MYSELF OKAY!? It's not very smart to be confrontational and then make me feel like I was stupid. Also, the food just isn't that good so I don't want to go there. That and she made it so much more awkward. When I pass by this place I go out of my way to walk on the other side of Church St. I know I sound like a harpy in this review, but listen: If you want the worst of humanity to be brought out in you, come to Pascolo.

I'd love to leave this place a better review and in a year or so once they've unfucked their performance maybe I'll be able to. Service was unreasonably slow, no check ins for wine or water refills, everything took at least three times as long as it should have. Server was very pleasant but for a moderately slow lunch shift she just wasn't present. Our appetizer of fried motzerlla was still frozen in the middle. We were offered free dessert make up for the mistake, but 20 mins after receiving them we still did not have our bill processed or asked about. Anecdotally both tables on either side of us had similar problems. My second try at this place and I don't think there will be a third, a shame since the ambience is so nice but this spot has serious Mangment problems that need to be resolved. For what its worth our entrees were entrees were passable.

The stars are for the fact that they choose to serve their eggplant Parmesan over spinach instead of pasta which is great! Unfortunately the Parmesan was like a layered slab of friend eggplants with barely any sauce. When I requested more sauce it took 15 minutes to arrive and cost extra. The red sauce is unspectacular which is a bummer as that's a pretty important part of making any good Italian meal. There was no spice to it aside from salt. The most disconcerting thing was that they charged us for a drink a friend bought for someone at our table. Seriously. Thankfully, Burlington has much better options than this restaurant! Don't waste your money here!

We must have hit this one on a good night. Reading previous posts after the dinner, they did not reflect our experience. Ravioli was excellent, the mushroom pasta and eggplant pasta were pretty good. Apps a little on the small side, and Caesar salad was above average. We ate downstairs, and it was a bit noisy, but tolerable. Pricey, definitely. We did have to wait a bit for our entrees, but we were in"casual" mode and sipping our beers and talking about our day, so was not bothersome. Cheryl was an excellent server, and took the time to talk to us about the area, as we were up for a UVM campus visit. Yes, would come again.

Great outdoor dining. Classic Italian meals. I had spaghetti and meatballs with a bottle of Chianti. Our waitresss Cheryl was attentive and friendly. Fair prices, I would definitely come back.

Visiting fr out of town. Looked like a nice spot, long wait so figured it must be good. Killed some time and saw yelped and saw the low reviews and got worried - but we had a good experience. Sure portions are not jumbo sized but it's enough to fill you up. Had the fungi and the sauce was yummy, could have used a tad bit more salt and more sauce on the noodles. Daughter had the cologne as she said the sauce was great but noodles were a little hard for her taste. The bread was a bit greasy but the olive oil was good. The calamari was just alright. If I lived around here I would come back and try it again.

I've had great experiences at every other Farmhouse Group restaurant, and was looking forward to this new spot, but Pascolo is not yet up to snuff. The waitstaff was friendly, but service was very slow. We finished the drinks we brought up to our table from the bar before our appetizers came and sat with empty glasses on the table for the rest of our meal. Servers stopped by our table for just long enough to drop off dishes, not offering more drinks or even asking if we needed anything. They brought out some foccacia and olive oil with our caprese appetizer. Both were good. Our entrees - the sausage lasagna and braised beef ravioli - were disappointing. The lasagna was set apart from a place like Papa Frank's only by the addition of melted fresh mozz over the top - and way pricier. The ravioli was thick, chewy/undercooked, and bland. All portions were appropriately sized for diners with average appetites, but skimpy for the price.

I just went in for a couple of old fashioned cocktails. Sarah did an amazing job making them. I just found out about this place Monday. Here we are on Wednesday again having drinks and a great time. We made reservations for Valentine's day this weekend. They seem to have top notch service consistently.

I can only repeat what has already been said: I expected more from the Guild/Farmhouse group and will chalk this up to growing pains. I am totally surprised they don't have this thing "down" by now, and that there are growing pains at all. Server had no knowledge of the menu. Food was over priced for what you got, and bland. Pizza crust and sauce both unremarkable. Add-ons and special requests were apparently too much for the kitchen to handle. I sent my food back twice before throwing in the towel. Pleasant environment / tables, etc.

Have yet to try the food- but went for a couple cocktails the other night and had a blast! Atmosphere was great, not too loud. The bartender was knowledgable and made some killer cocktails (we both consider ourselves cocktail snobs and she definitely hit it out of the park). The fact that there were no TVs was a plus for us, made it feel more intimate. will definitely be back, at least to the bar!

Agree with many of the reviews already posted. We had Lasagne and it was cold, not great at all. Service was not great, never passed by to see if we were ok, several of us needed drinks. The Tiramisu is terrible, too sweet and this is our third and last time complaining to them about this dessert.

Had dinner at Pascolo Ristorante while on business in Burlington and really enjoyed the meal. I personally dined at the bar which is down a flight from the street level outdoor seating. After reviewing the menu which was typical Italian fare, I had asked if they could make a dish for me that was off menu. To my surprise they were very accommodating and by the way it was excellent. On special that evening was an entrée that contained both Hot and Sweet Italian sausage. My request was if they could make it a pasta dish with Broccoli Rabe. Nice selection of mainly Italian wines, I suggest the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, if you're interested in something below $10. Service was on point and very friendly.

We gave this place a shot based not on the previous reviews, but on what the food looked like on diners' plates sitting at the sidewalk dining area! I should have trusted the reviews.... The food was actually OK. Not spectacular and certainly not worth the money though! Service was a MAJOR miss. Monday night and maybe 5 other tables seated inside, at least 3 servers and it still took 10 minutes for our server to acknowledge us and take our drink order. Our appetizers came with our entrees, which was a huge mistake. The server checked back 2 minutes after we got all of our food and then I had to practically tackle her to get our drinks refilled. And then she cleared the plates before I was done eating! There were only 4 other tables seated, did they really want to turn the table over that quickly? Food is typical Italian fare. There is no "wow" factor to the menu - I dare say Olive Garden has a more authentic Italian food offering - at half the cost. And Olive Garden has better tasting food! The appetizer and entrees were mediocre at best, just nothing special about the food. Three of us, no alcohol, no desert and over $90. There are far better restaurants within walking distance, don't waste your money here.

We've been 5 times now and have had a better experience and meal each time. Awesome, unique cocktails set the stage for a great dinner. The mussels appetizer and cheese plate are perfect starters.Pasta Amatriciana, pappardelle Finnochio, pizza patate, carbonara have all been incredible. The Farmhouse Group does not mess around, they are great at what they do and Pascolo is another feather in their cap.

Pascalo is an American/Italian restaurant located right downtown on Church Street. They do have a few typical dishes you would find at an Itailan/American Restaurant but as it is a FarmHouse Group they do add some more contemporary American flair to it. I think some people were disappointed as it deviates from what some people have in mind for being "farmhouse group" but from what I have experienced the food was great! Fresh ingredients and they make some of the pasta from scratch! I love the kids menu. My youngest gets chicken parm. They have deals during the week which makes it quite affordable. They have upped their bar game with more wines and a decent cocktail list. Note worthy is on Thursdays they have 1/2 off cocktails from their menu... Yay! This is a great place for families to go to when visiting college students. Nothing is going to weird anyone out and there is something for most if not all diets plus it's very close to the bank street parking lot.

Very disappointed that this top notch restaurant group is failing miserably at Pascolo. Food is pretty tasty (the reason for 2 stars), however, small plates for the price and the service was awful. I went to run an errand while my husband was going to pay the check, I got back 10 minutes later and no check yet. Had to ask the busser for it, and no offers of more drinks or desserts. They had 5 different people working the outside area and it was like we were invisible. The Farmhouse group should know how to come out of the gate running at this point, and this totally misses the mark.

We wanted to try Pascolo, for several reason, first because we like the restaurant group it belongs to and second we were so sorry with how the Three Tomatoes had turned out that we were hoping for another casual Italian on Church Street. The service was very nice, the hostess sat us at a great table, our wait lady was very nice, the personal touch of calling you by name when you use your credit card. The food; be prepared to order at least three courses if you are hungry. They have added a new meaning to small plates, the plates are small and the contents are even smaller! I ordered the appetizer, Antipasto Mare at $14.94 I figured with some bread it would be more than enough for me. Wrong, for $14.95 I got a taste, a rather small taste of calamari, shrimp, swordfish and I believe two thin slices of scallops, there were exactly 4 small pieces of aragula on the plate. They also had listed onions but I don't eat onions. So the kitchen could could not have substituted, 2 more sprigs of aragula for the onions? My husband's spagetti vongole, $18.95, few clams and even fewer pasta, the sauce was tasty, but the lack of pasta was puzzling. We had house made Foccacia with olive oil. We tried the desert, ricotta cheese cake billed as much lighter than regular cheese cake, with a strawberry rhubarb preserve...the cheese cake was not light, the strawberry rhubarb was about half tablespoon on the plate and some whipped cream on top of the cake. The taste was flat, no hints of lemon or lemon zest that brings ricotta cheesecake to life. The Bellini was good made with home made peach puree, the beer my husband ordered was good he was asked small or large, thinking a large would be a pint he ordered a small. The beer came in a small wine glass.

Came here for Sunday lunch with partner and in-laws. All had pasta which were phenomenal. Can really taste the house made difference and even see it in action in the back. HOWEVER, service was subpar. Very nice folks and all but very slow and gave a vibe of they were scrambling. Bread only came after we asked for it, 30 mins into the seating. Will return to try other food but hopefully service will have tightened up.

I'll start this by saying that I think this has recently opened, so perhaps they're still working out the bugs, although I understand they're part of a larger group of restaurants so, perhaps, they should know better. 4 for dinner. Started with a bottle of pinot grigio and the fire-roasted mussels. Mussels were fairly bland, the sauce was ok, and the accompanying bread was passable. Main dishes ... 1 had pasta carbonara (which the waitress described incorrectly), 1 had the eggplant parm over spinach, 1 had the pasta funghi and 1 had the chicken parm. The carbonara was not hot enough and fairly bland, the eggplant parm was spicier than we're used to and below "ok", the funghi was also bland and our 4th couild only eat about 1/2 of their chicken parm. Dessert was a gelato sundae which left much to be desired, and the coffee was ok. The staff needs additional training as they were trying to clear the table while some were still eating and they tried to remove the wine bottle while there was still wine (yes, it was a Saturday evening, and I understand that they were busy, but good service requires being a little more subtle). All in all, I wouldn't recommend until they have had a chance to work out the kinks.

We stopped by for lunch here, craving Italian food. I ordered the bolognese pasta and my mom got the vongole pasta and we got fried calamari to share. The calamari was very good. My pasta was extremely salty but it tasted nice otherwise. My mother's pasta was okay. The salad consisted of 3 pieces of lettuce with 3 burned croutons. Nothing special. We paid 50 dollars for the meal.

My husband and I dined here for the first time tonight, everything was delicious and the service from the hostess to the server, and all other staff was super friendly. I ordered the lasagna which looked beautiful when it arrived, perfect slice , not sloppy looking, topped with pretty mozzarella and basil. A very large portion and I loved every bite, even though I could only eat half. My husband who always regrets the choices he makes after deciding between two dinners, finally chose the Chicken Parmigiana which arrived on a bed of spaghetti and tomato sauce. He enjoyed it, and I tried a bite of the chicken which was crispy, but very moist. We also started with fried mozzarella which arrived with a tomato basil sauce, and a salsa verde, a green pesto sauce that was delicious! Crispy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside. the outside seating was full, but we were able to get a table inside, and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Seems bigger inside than when it was Three Tomatoes. We really enjoyed our night out and would come back to this restaurant!

I arrived rather early on a Wednesday evening because it was raining and I felt like comfort food. The hostess seemed rather shocked that I was dining solo but eventually gathered herself enough to seat me. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti. The bread that was brought out to the table while I waited for my meal was rather lackluster. When meal arrived it was less than what I expected. The eggplant was cooked well, but was sliced so thinly that it was overpowered by the breading and ricotta cheese. The sauce was well balanced, however the pasta itself was salty. I found the waitstaff to be attentive if slightly inexperienced. Overall I expected much more from an eatery owned by farmhouse.

Was very disappointed. Meatballs were hard and pasta sauce not very good. Great ambience though and had some nice wine.

After the disaster of the preceding restaurant at this site, Niko, I was hoping for an improvement. Guess what, this place is not much better. Served the wrong order, eggplant dish was dismal, appetizer was skimpy, and ask for more of their quite ordinary bread and the waitress will tell you it's another $2.50. Are you kidding! I eat out a lot in Burlington, and there are quite a few good and interesting restaurants. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. I won't even bother giving them another chance.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
