Dunkin’ Donuts

What an amazing little restaurant. They have coffee and donuts and bagels and all kinds of other delightful confectionery I'd never seen before this far from the equator. If you're undecided about trying this out for breakfast or lunch (or even dinner), I urge you to get off the fence and just do it - you will not regret it. What an absolute gem.

Domino’s Pizza

Everything we ordered was good, better than expected! The parm bites were particularly good, just thinking about them makes me want some more. Cheesy bread was not skimpy on the cheese like past orders of cheesy bread from other domino's, the last time, I swear there was no cheese in my bread. Sorely disappointed. The lava crunch cakes were very rich and chocolaty, but thankfully didn't give me heartburn! My Boyfriend reported that his pizza was very good for domino's and my bacon ranch sandwiches was yummy. The service was upbeat, happy and joking around with us! Very pleasant experience, something that seems so rare, especially in the fast food industry.
This place rules. Everyone thinks I'm ridiculous for thinking Dominos is the best pizza in town, but whatever they do to the crust is so addictive it should probably be illegal and I've gained like 45 pounds since I learned about it. Watching Pete the Pizza Maker on the little tracker thing is better than any movie I've ever seen. One time it sat at "checking for perfection" for forty-five minutes and I was super concerned that my pizza was going to be some kind of abomination but if I'm being honest with myself I'm ready to forgive basically whatever when there's cheesy bread involved. The delivery drivers could literally punch me in the face as soon as I open the door and I would still order Dominos twenty-seven times a week. A+
Love Domino's pizza! And my family can get gluten-free which is awesome! They have always been on time and had our order correctly. Woohoo!

Overall I would give this place 3.75 stars. The kimchi dip was great, but the chip quality didn't do it justice. Great fish and chips and a perfectly cooked chicken dish was the positives. The negatives would be watching the line cook eating the entire time which was not appetizing by any means and the dessert cookie for $3.50 was seriously lacking for that price.
I could drown in the Clear Noodle Soup... DIVINE! The popcorn is addictive and the fries will hurt your feelings they are so good! This place is gonna do very well!
Great food and great service. My friends and I all got different dishes and compared them, and each of us were convinced that he or she had the best meal.

Union Jacks

This place is a total hole-in-the-wall sandwich joint that I could not recommend more. We stopped here for a quick lunch in between brewery tours and my husband and I each got a sandwich. Not only were our sandwiches both DELICIOUS but this place truly does use homemade ingredients (I had a chipotle mayo and he had a horseradish mayo that were both freshly made in house!) and the service is friendly and welcoming. I'd stop back here any day to try another really yummy sandwich!
Ok how did I not know about this place for fish and onion rings. Their sandwiches are great too. It's a small place that I have driven past numerous times but a friend highly recommended it and we ordered take out. The fish was cooked so nicely and crispy. The onion rings were perfect. Can't wait until our next visit!
Found Union Jack through Yelp. Nice restaurant with friendly staff. Fish and chips very good. Pastrami was very nice. Onion rings were yummy! Will be back!

Lang House

Reviews:
This is a gem of place to stay in Burlington. It is within a 7 minute walk to downtown, or Church Street, and still feels like a quiet oasis. The staff is so helpful and kind. Recommendations and maps abound! The rooms are big, and the beds! So fluffy and great. Then there is the food-Banana Nutella Muffin?!?! Just for a breakfast appetizer?! The rest is even better. We had such a great time, loved the location, and mostly the people. Can't wait to come back!
We loved Lang House. Stayed 2 nights in the Allen Room. The room was a good size & had a bathroom inside. The bed was so comfortable & the sheets so soft. Breakfast was fantastic both days & everyone was super nice. Would absolutely stay here again!
Just awesome. We booked late and ended up staying in 3 different rooms (fisher, garden spa, and galloway) and all 3 were nice. Galloway is separate in the carriage house.. fairly small simple room that was comfortable and more than adequate. The fisher room is in the main house and slightly larger than the galloway... or at least feels like it. Super cozy feel in this room and I like the location. I don't want to tell anyone about the garden spa so it is more likely to be available when I want to book it. It has a private entrance, great space, large jetted tub with separate good size rain shower and private water closet. The tub and shower are open to the room with a movable privacy screen so if you're going as a family you won't have a lot of privacy in the shower area. If you don't care or are leaving them home, this is a beautiful space. Bonus: fridge and stove. Location is decent. You're up the hill from town but not the whole way up and it is still walkable or a really easy drive with reasonable parking fees in town. Robes and slippers are a nice touch. Breakfast was fantastic. Eggs and veggies over corn grits (so ridiculously good), squash fritatta, apple pancakes, baked goods, nom nom.. The staff was phenomenal. We didn't get to meet the innkeeper because she had a family event, but she's done a great job - these kids were on point. Thanks for a great time! We will definitely be back.

Looking for a good sandwich, this is your place! Earl and Mary made us feel right at home, it felt like we were at our friends house for a bite to eat. The sandwiches were wholesome and very homey, the sweet potato tater tots melted in your mouth. Highly recommended this place and wish them best of luck! Diners dive ins and dives need to discover this place!
Really really simple, straight forward breakfast. And they do it right! Delicious pancakes, potatoes, eggs, everything! No fresh juice which was a slight bummer for me, but the place seemed more like a stop for people heading to work than a sit-down. Horse-shoe shaped diner really only allowed for maybe 20 people, but we ate quickly and got on with our day! Also, SO cheap!!
Go where the locals go. "Cute" and "fun" are the words for this family-friendly neighborhood diner. I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn around the corner and paid a pretty penny for a burger last night that could not hold up against the patty melt I had here for lunch at half the price.

Great Harvest Bread Co

382 Pine St

Reviews:
My friend told me about this place, but he couldn't remember the name, only that "they give you huge slices of whatever bread you want to sample, and they have butter and honey there for you, and the bread is really, really good, and the place isn't exactly downtown". After some yelp research, I was excited to have found it, and it lived up to the hype and then some. I tried a free sample of the challah and it was spectacular. The other choices that day looked amazing too---a cinnamon swirl bread, something with blueberries, plus the regulars (white, wheat, etc.), scones, and cookies (there were big cookie samples too! Oatmeal chocolate chip the day I went). The bread is a bit on the expensive side ($6 for a loaf of challah) but I would definitely pay that for the quality of it.
It may be a franchise, but the folks that run the place make it feel like a mom and pop operation. And free slices! Can't be beat. The bread is top quality and the folks selling it to you really know their business.
Great people, great attitudes. Everyone gets a "free sample" upon entry...brownie bread is awesome. Cheesy breads great also. Love the sign - neon lit "Yep" if open. Great place to assemble a gift basket for the mom or dad who loves food and already has everything else. This is a franchise but owned by a nice young Burlington VT couple with young children.

Penny Cluse Cafe

169 Cherry St
Burlington, 05401
Reviews:
A trip to Burlington isn't complete without a stop for breakfast at Penny Cluse. It's conveniently located just off of Church Street, and is clearly a popular spot for visitors and locals alike. Gingerbread french toast, fruit platters, tofu scrambles, spicy black beans, kombucha on tap, incredible coffee... I've never had a bad meal here. They have a highly eclectic staff who always prove to be competent as well as attentive. They made alterations to orders without fuss and are especially understanding of those with allergies or food restrictions. They do serve lunch as well, and while I haven't tried it I'm sure it's equally as wonderful.
Amazing! Was seeking healthy and hearty food and this place delivered. I had the taco salad with tofu which came with sufficient avocado, REAL mango (none of that fake boxed/jar/can stuff) cilantro, pico, corn and black beans. Tofu was seasoned perfectly and had tremendous flavor which paired well with the other accoutrements of the salad. We also the fruit smoothies one had the yogurt base and the other in our party had the soy base. Each smoothie had the perfect balance of fruits, not overwhelming with banana or OJ which happens frequently at less quality places. The staff was great and atmosphere friend. All in all a pleasant experience.
The Penny Cluse is very good. They support local farmers and businesses. I love the menu item Penny Cluse also, probably my favorite dish there. I will let you know if I ever order anything different, lol. They do very well with seating for the actual space they have. There is lots of art, it's very colorful and "trendy". The staff is very attentive, friendly enough, very professional. Even if they are all women, I have yet to see a guy working there. It has the feel of the OP. Which is neither here nor there, just an observation. Penny Cluse is very expensive! But compared to other extremely expensive posh tut tut restaurants, this one is worth it, the food is excellent and it's not a small serving of food. My only complaint about Penny Cluse is that it is advertised as having a Sunday brunch and it does not have a brunch. There are only 2 restaurants that offer and serve Sunday brunch in Burlington: Trader Dukes for $15 per person and the Sheraton for $25 per person.

Myer’s Bagel Bakery

377 Pine St
Burlington, 05401
Reviews:
Vermont has a few awesome places to get bagels, but Myer's is by far my favorite. They're the only bagels I can eat dry. That's how good they are. But they're great for sandwiches too! They also have good coffee so it's a great stop to grab breakfast to-go (but there's seating there as well). The Montreal Spice flavor is my favorite, but you really can't go wrong. Highly recommended!
YES! One of the tastiest meals I've experienced in Vermont. After a little pre-trip digging I found that Myer's needed to be at the top of my itinerary. Why? Well, have you ever experienced a Montreal bagel? No? Me either. They're eggless, dipped in honey and fire roasted all at the off-the-beaten path Myer's Bagel Bakery. According to one of the owners, they make thousands of bagels each week with flavors like the Montreal Spice (very popular in Yelp reviews), onion, everything, blueberry, raisin, and a few other more creative varieties that were out by the time we arrived. BUT! What wasn't out was the Montreal Spice. Let me tell you something: you MUST order the Henchman sandwich - it had ham, an egg, gruyere, bacon, sriracha, tomato, bean sprouts (added spinach too!) and it is one of the best sandwiches I have had the pleasure of demolishing. I wanted to make love to that sammie.
This was my first time trying Montreal style bagels. I had an onion bagel with Montreal spice cream cheese and a Montreal spice bagel with lox. Both were phenomenal. If you eat in the restaurant and buy a coffee, you can take a to-go large cup at the end with a free refill, which is really nice! Highly recommend!

Pingala Cafe & Eatery

I had a wonderful lunch experience there today! It was my first time eating at Pingala, or any Vegan restaurant, but I promised to eat healthier in new year, and this restaurant will help me keep that promise! The food was outstanding! I can't wait to visit again. I had the taco and the taquitos. Both were excellent! Wonderful, fresh, and tasty.
Awesome tasting, great food that's also great for you and they've even got a great menu - all at a really reasonable price. Stopping here made my day. I know I'll be back next time I'm in the area.
A hidden gem of Burlington. Sits right along the Winooski river in a building that used to be a mill. Very charming atmosphere. As for the food, well I came here about 4 times over my weekend stay in town and EVERYTHING was delicious. Staff is super accommodating and friendly. I've had vegan food all over the country and this is definitely some of the best. Be sure to go for breakfast and lunch.
