Really cute place, had lunch here and we were all happy with the selections. The husband and wife make a great team and are very helpful and friendly. Try the Vermont sandwich and you will not be disappointed!

Great food, great location. Awesome service. The owners are so niice! I love this place. The people here are amazing. The first time we went in the lady up front was so kind. She figured we would yelp in and she gave everyone free potato salad to go with the sandwiches. What was even better was since I went last, she gave me chips to make my sandwich messy (its a style of sandwich where they take half a bag of chips and crush it into the the sandwich) so since she understood I'm not a big fan on condiments she gave me the chips for free instead of the potato salad. But it didn't stop there, she also gave us two free bottles of water.

10 orders - 1 hour wait and we were the only ones there! Sounded good on paper, but everyone still hungry after lunch.

I work from home and thought I would give this deli a chance, though I knew it had gone through several owners in recent years. I remembered Boars Head deli meats and fresh bread. I ordered a Cobb Salad and was not impressed; the egg was left out, the chicken was lunchmeat cut thick and diced ala supermarket and the bleu cheese dressing had no hunks of bleu cheese in it. I could've gotten this at the supermarket, and my roommate's sandwich wasn't much better. Overpriced and underwhelming and it was delivered 45 mins later than promised.

First time in Burlington and found Cobblestone at lunch time. The deluxe ham and mozzarella I got was a little too saturated with oil and vinegar for my taste. However, the owners let me and my friends stay around to watch the USA world cup game! Not a bad sandwich and nice place to watch the soccer game!

This place is great! I've been here twice so far and intend to come back frequently. The sandwiches are delicious and the owners and workers are so friendly and welcoming. Very cute place to sit and eat, but not very big. The sandwiches are tasty and everything seems really fresh.

Ohhhh, Cobblestone! The summer I lived in Burlington I took visitors here. Well, we'd pick up sandwiches and head to the nearby waterfront. One time there was a big bowl of crisps there smiling at me. For frees. Roast beef + horseradish + brown bread. Standard, but well-done. Cobblestone, are you still alive?

Cobblestone is a small, homey deli in an area of town where there are less food options, though that is changing. It has had three different owners since 2009. Each one changes the vibe and the offerings a bit. Historically, the food is average to good. In a town where there are shops that make their own bread or serve only local, organic sandwich meats, Cobblestone doesn't stand out as anything overly special. I believe it uses Boar's Head meat products and the bread seems to be pretty run of the mill. The new owner has tried to mix things up a bit. She has added a small salad bar, and I noticed yesterday she offers local organic milks and eggs in her cooler along with the regular soft drink fare. This is a nice touch. There is also "Mexican" coca cola. This is also pretty cool (uses cane sugar and not corn syrup). I've also noticed an abundance of muffins and breakfast pastries when I go there at lunch. They look ok, but the fact there are still so many out during lunch time might suggest they don't sell very well. The last two owners were youngish and pretty energetic. They always were friendly when I walked in. The new owner is an older lady (50s?) and has seemed extremely tired and somewhat glum the three or four times I've visited since she took ownership. It's sort of a downer. This is not just my opinion. Other people comment on it, too. I hope that she's doing well, because some more energy and a smile would go along way to making people feel more at home. One complaint I have is that the store has a new policy. Every sandwich comes with a side. That pretty much means that anytime you get a sandwich you are paying over $10. When I want a sandwich, I want a sandwich and I don't want to feel as if I need to get another food product. The sides offered are generally pasta salad, potato salad, green salad or chips. The salads don't look great and I don't eat chips. This is a definite drawback for me. Overall, Cobblestone is just ok for me. The sandwiches are ok. You can tell the owner is trying, but her temperament doesn't draw others or me to the place. When I'm in the area and need a sandwich, sometimes I stop by. But with all the other offerings moving into the neighborhood, now I'm much more likely to go to Logan's down the street for a truly gourmet experience at the same price or less.

I have ordered from this deli 15-20x b/c they make one of the best sandwiches in Burlington! They also offer fresh and local ingredients and even bake some of their breads in house. The food has almost always been delicious. HOWEVER, of those 20ish orders/deliveries 90% of them have arrived sub-par. There is almost always something missing from my order and several times items have been made incorrectly, even when I have specified in the "instructions" section very plainly. Once I waited over 90 minutes for a bagle to arrive. Sadly, the bad is starting to outweigh the deliciously good and so I will now be taking my business elsewhere.

A great location but skip what they call a "salad bar". The food is okay but the work ethic between husband and wife is off putting. The husband is friendly, kind and mindful. The wife, who runs the front counter, has been abrasive and easy to scare away customers. If I didn't have to deal with HER moods I'd enjoy the scene. Skip this and try Logan's a few doors down. Quality food, service with a smile...all genuine. Both of these spots are in walking distance from all the hotels across from the lake if you need to stock your hotel fridge.
