MUST give this place a chance...when I saw the menu, my first thought was "weird" but I braved it and loved it so far. I have not tried the Teriyaki burrito yet but I definitely will sometime. The set up is somewhat similar to Chipotle (CA) but definitely the menu is much more bold and daring. The staff is friendly and the cashier remembered us the 2nd time we visited; I thought that was a sign of good customer service and that he pays attention.

Perhaps it was my choice (asian style burrito w/chicken), but this was just not good. Sauteed vegetables tasted like they sat around awhile; some off flavors going on in it. Portions are small compared to the other burrito offerings in town, but prices are the same. The place itself was a bit messy; even though the place was not crowded the tables were a mess with food scraps. Interior decor was pretty cool, they commissioned an artist to do a series of Burlington scenes. Each one has a little Boloco symbol hidden in it somewhere. Better off Going to Bueno Y Sano or New World.

We had the buffalo burrito, and it was pretty good. The regular size is about 7 inches long by 2.5 inches in diameter. We liked the fresh addition of celery in addition to the spicy buffalo sauce. The 3 young gentlemen working at the time were very accommodating of our menu adjustments, as we requested rice on the side, white meat chicken, and added fajita veggies. They went to great lengths to make sure our order was exactly the way we wanted, with their "customer is always right" attitude. The 5 stars are for both food and service.

Boloco are consistently outstanding. I absolutely love their burritos, and have started getting two minis instead of one large simply so I can double the enjoyment, and maximize the flavour experience. You'd be hard pressed not to find something on the menu to tantalize, so even if you're not sure - just pick one at random. The Bangkok Thai, Teriyaki, and Summer are absolute favourites of mine. I do miss the Mediterranean which vanished a while back. While I shed a tear every now and then, it's hard to stay depressed when there are other delicious options to pick from. I've eaten at Burlington and Dartmouth restaurants so far. Dartmouth was packed! Obviously word has been getting around, about just how good Boloco is. In Burlington, it's a little quieter, but the food is no less delicious. In fact I'm kinda glad because the queue is shorter, meaning I get my burrito quicker. In VT there is a shortage of really good quality eateries, but fortunately there's Boloco. Thanks guys. Keep up the good work. - oh and as an aside, (which it shouldn't be), the staff are always super friendly and on top of their game.

As a visitor to Burlington, I had no idea what to expect from Boloco. The group I was with was uniformly turned off by this poorly prepared, overpriced establishment. Clearly this is part of a chain, and this particular location was staffe by barely-there college students. Our food was very poorly made and hardly satisfying. The restaurant also smelled like rotten vegetables. I woud actively encourage visitors to avoid this location.

I used to eat here 3-4 times per week. It used to serve perfectly acceptable burritos, etc. Over the last year it has gone downhill. It's not clean, service is not as good, and on a recent visit my tofu tasted of fish. There are semi-homeless looking folks coming and going using the bathrooms. The hot sauce bottles are completely disgusting with crusted tobasco. They need to clean up their act.

You have to love a good Boloco restaurant! This location does deliver! Now I have been spoiled by the Boloco's in Boston, MA! So finding one in Burlington was like find a lost diamond in a hay stack! Truly great! I love their food and the Customer service is good. But the price is left to be desired at times. Located right in Burlington on Church Street its central to everyone. If you can get on a bus or get into your car or even live near by its easy access for everyone! Its very clean inside and the employees are always washing down tables after people leave. They don't come and do it while your still hanging around they wait until your gone. Unlike other places in the area. The food is just awesome! Chicken Caesar wrap is where its at for me! Its just as it says...Caesar salad in a wrap! White or dark meat with cheese lettuce and feta cheese and Caesar dressing! Just amazing. That simple. I love it. The staff here is also on top of things. I feel like I can customize the wrap in any way that I wish and they are more than willing to do it! I love feta...So I always ask for extra. Makes me a happy panda! The prices here is where it sorta falls apart. For 2 big wraps and 2 soda's you will spend about $20 easy. Thats with no chips or anything else. It is still filling at times but I really wish they would lower it by a $1 or so or just add the chips in like other places. Either way though. When you WANT Boloco...You want it. So you get it anyways. So just be ready to spend some cash if you eat here! Over all this location is great and central to every body! I come here from time to time and they never seem to fail me! So in the end the extra cash spent here isn't to much of a big deal. I just wait until I must have Boloco! Last night was that night and yet again they delivered! Awesome 4/5! They will continue to have my business!

I am quite a large consumer of a variety of burritos from many places. Some call me an fanatic, but its just love. Boloco is not love. There's nothing delicious about a burrito that's rolled like the joint I just smoked. Too Much Rice. Not Enough Flavor. No Consistency In Bites.

Really good food, both in quality and taste. Can be a little pricey but if you're a frequent visitor it works out due to their Boloco card which hooks you up if you use it enough. Anyway, this place won me over initially with their one dollar burritos during Mardi Gras. Sure it took a half hour to get served that day but it was worth the wait! I keep coming back and keep loving it. Just last week I got a free mini-shake because they had made too much shake for another customer and didn't want to throw the remainder out. How many places do this?

My girlfriend and I went to Boloco about a week ago and ordered the Summer and the Mexican burrito. Our bill was over $14 which seemed a bit high given the type and amount of food we received (only ordered 2 burritos and nothing else, no drinks or chips). The burritos were average. Some melted cheese would have greatly improved their flavor. Inside was plain rice and beans which had no flavor to speak of, the Summer had a tiny bit of mango salsa and the Mexican had a little bit of it's own salsa and that was pretty much it. No lettuce, tomatoes or cheese. We loaded our burritos up with Tobasco sauce to make them a bit more interesting. Boloco reminded me of a Chipotle but more expensive and with much less ingredients and much less flavor. Simply put- The food wasn't bad but I would not go back.

Conveniently located right on Church Street, Boloco is probably the best of the new-mexican-baja-fresh kind of joints that we have available to us in Burlington. I love that there's plenty for me to eat even though I have many food restrictions. The portion sizes are totally reasonable (by this I mean not mammoth) and I love that they wrap their burritos so tight they can actually be eaten by hand. The prices are totally reasonable, the restaurant space is comfortable and they do have outdoor seating when appropriate. I am the biggest fan of building my own Goloco bowl, which I did today and it didn't disappoint, but I've never heard a bad word about their constructed options. The nutella milkshake is something I would die for. The staff can leave something to be desired in the service department, they kind of have a very typical college blah attitude about work that can be off-putting, but it never actually affects the quality of the food, so no harm no foul. For people watching their weight, you should know the Boloco website has a nutrition calculator that allows you to check boxes of what you had and will calculate your meal exactly. It is the best thing ever and every restaurant should have something like it!

The wife and I stopped in for a burrito whilst hanging out in Burlington, VT. The menu is fairly straightforward. The burritos they serve are full of flavor and are very well portioned. I got the small size, formerly the regular. I found it to be very filling. I also got some fresh tortilla chips, which weren't bad. It would have been nice if they had a bit more salt or maybe some lime on them, but they were good. The food tastes fresh unlike places like Moe's where the precooked stuff is just sitting around. I saw they served a lot of milkshakes, but I unfortunately did not get one. The Nutella milkshake looked very good. If you find your self in Burlington definitely stop in for a burrito and a shake.

When this place is crowded, damn is it crowded, but the staff always handles it well. Have you seen this place on "Free Burrito Day"? This team has it down to a science, and everything flows well. I love stopping in for a lunch or dinner burrito. When I used to work downtown on Church Street, I'd drop in twice a week and eventually some staff knew me on sight, and that felt good. The food quality varies sometimes during meal rushes, but the staff actually listens patiently when I like to make substitutions or subtractions. They offer Tabasco-brand hot sauces at the tray drop-offs, and that just makes a great burrito better. I always make sure when dining alone to grab one of the large leather chairs to sit in.

I think they've finally got it together. Their breakfast options are available, their food is hot and delicious (try the braised pork! Mmmmmm... ), and they even have free wifi. Church Street needed a place that served smoothies and Boloco filled that void as well. They are much tastier than their competition - better quality meat than Moe's, better value than Bueno & Sano (who seem to fill their burritos with rice, rice, & more rice), & nicer overall atmosphere than either of them. I also like having the option to cut out the chips. :)

Changing my review from 4 stars to 3 stars. Reason 1: they got rid of the habanero burrito Reason 2: they cut back on giving out freebie offers for boloco card holders Reason 3: not as clean as used to be Used to come once a week, now I think it'll be more like once a year

As other reviewers have noted, it's neither Moe's (that's a good thing) nor Chipotle (it feels like a wannabe, and misses). That said, it comes down to two basic problems that we could see after one, fairly rushed, visit: First, it's all about the wetware. If you can't staff it well, you're going to start way behind in the game, and this Boloco seems to be struggling in that department. The three burritos ordered by our party were indistinguishable. (That was supposed to be Cajun? Where was the sour cream that we ordered?) We must clean our own table? Really? The place was fairly filthy on a Sunday afternoon. Come on, people, this is food service, not rocket science. To be fair, both the Moe's in town suffer from the same people-related problems. Maybe a Chipotle would, too. The food was quick and of good quality, just incorrect. Second, that menu system is ridiculous. SO many choices, presented in a big grid that isn't at all easy to absorb in one glance, which makes getting what one actually wants actually more difficult (assuming the assembly staff can actually deliver, which was one of the problems we encountered). That all said, we'll go back and try it again. The prices were fair, the location fairly convenient, and the service prompt (but inaccurate, as noted above). We have a friend who also owns a business on Church Street, and have heard for years the tales of difficulty in finding good staff. It was fairly easy to identify the Manager or Franchisee among the people behind the counter, and judging from his harried look, it isn't especially surprising to find gaps in the quality. Opening a business isn't for the faint of heart, and leading it is just as important as managing it. We'll be back again, if we can't get into Sadie Katz's again.

Very similar to Chipotle, but has much more expensive menu of flavors. I had the Memphis BBQ with steak and when else did I have a burrito with coleslaw in it?! Pretty adventurous. Located in a hip, cool part of Vermont - Burlington.

Chipotle and Press got married and had well-priced baby burritos! (Try the Thai and Cajun options--both are excellent. I really appreciate the different sizes they offer, and extensive customizations are a step above either of the above-mentioned parents.)

Mclovin' it all the way. Natural meats, veggies and.. wtforeo.. brown rice?! Back in PA we used to frequent the local Qdoba on a weekly basis for I absolutely could not imagine living without their delish naked chicken burritos. Moving back to RI left me mildly disappointed being left out in the cold without my bare, bean-free spicy indulgence. What surprise when we came across Boloco! Their menu is chock full of yumminess with a little something for everyone: pork, chicken, tofu, steak or roasted veggies, your pick. I opted for a chicken teriyaki burrito (for real) with brown rice & lots of onions. Absolutely perfect. I'm not a fan of beans at all so having various options to substitute made me ultra happy. They also have a nice menu of great smoothies across the board to chose from: the strawberry banana was pure heaven. The prices are also reasonable with two orders totaling 20-bucks. The plastic cups are made of corn, btw. Awesome. If anything this makes me even further depressed knowing we don't have a Boloco here either. Shucks.

Yummy and fresh. The line was really long but it was worth it. I'd like to go back and try more combinations. I love that it is vegetarian friendly.

Had the Summer Burrito with a bunch of mango salsa. i forgot to get sour cream, but it ended up being fresher and lighter than most burritos i eat. Prices were maybe $0.50 higher than I would ideally like, but they seem to be consistent with other burrito places. i'll be back.

With the number of businesses closing on Church St in recent months, it was really nice to see this place open its doors. It's not like there's a lack of places to eat down town, but I'm a huge burrito fan. I have been getting tired of Moe's slightly generic burritos, long waits, and annoying "Welcome to Moe's!" greeting, so I had really high hopes for Boloco. I had the Buffalo burrito and my girlfriend had the Mediterranean burrito and we were both completely satisfied with the quality of the food as well as the service. The Buffalo was pretty spicy, but not so much that I couldn't enjoy it. The only thing I wish they served was some Vermont beer.

Boloco is a great, low-cost option for meals and snacks downtown, especially ever since New World Tortilla moved down to Pine Street. I disagree with JF: I think Boloco is better than Moe's, but either is actually pretty decent. I like the Thai wrap with added chicken and brown rice. The smoothies are also very good. I was happy to see that they added a Nutella smoothie since the last time I was there. The Jimmy Carter smoothie is no one-term-er, it's like drinking peanut butter ice cream. Boloco is worth a stop when looking for healthy-ish food downtown if you're on a budget or on the go.

Love Boloco! I love the variety you can get here and the fact that you can get different sizes. The staff was super friendly and my meal was up quickly. The store was very clean and our family had a great experience! We will be back!

Same food as all Bolocos, so I'm not going to review that, but I must say--it's a good choice if you want to have lunch from a people-watching spot on Church Street without paying for a full sit-down meal at one of the more expensive establishments on the block. Outdoor seating and umbrellas when the weather is nice, and usually with a musician stationed right nearby.

Perfect for what it is. Easy to order vegan. Lots of flavor options and totally customizable. I love that they offer regular, small, and smaller sizes vs. big, bigger, biggest for both the food and drinks. How refreshingly sane.

This place is like Chipotle, but 100x better. I ate here 4x in a row now because I get bowls jampacked with awesome vegetables at super low price. If I'm not feeling vegetarian, then Grassfed Steak All Day Every Day. If you're a picky eater like myself, then come here. 100% customizable. Get a huge variety of colorful vegetables for a great price. Everyone here is fantastic! Shoutout to Kaitlyn (Caitlin?) and Kate (Cait?) for making my first time experience awesome. Still making it awesome. Love seeing them. What else can I say? Compostable utensils, bowls, and most everything else. Sustainability is a big plus for me. I'm hungry. I'm going to go there now for dinner. See you all there. Update: 5 days in a row now

Came here for a quick bite to take down with me by the lake. My favorite thing about this place? The different sizes! Thought this was a great idea! Prevents me from either carrying smelly left overs or stuffing my self full just to finish the whole portion. I got a chicken bowl, classic mexican style. It was very bland, not much flavor, and I wish there were more veggies. The rice was very heavy and dense. Reminded me of asian style rice. The staff was great and friendly, and it seemed like a popular place for lunch. Don't really recommend and probably wouldn't come here again.

Man, I just love this place. Used to eat at Boloco all the time when I worked in Boston. My last trip to Burlington I had a big lunch with my wife, and my brother was supposed to join us for lunch but he was running late. After our lunch we swung by Boloco to grab some food for him and his fiance and I just couldn't resist. Despite the fact that I had just downed a huge lunch I still made room for one of their small Buffalo Steak wraps. This location had prompt, friendly service and top quality food. Come down to Atlanta and open a location, you guys would kill it!

This location was great. They have a little patio with tables and umbrellas set up right on Church St, so it was lovely to sit out there on a nice, summer day. The staff was friendly, and the food was good. Parking is obviously dicey for Church St, so you may be better off dropping a friend and doing a couple laps until they're back. For "fast food", this is definitely a nice option.

I think of Boloco only when I am craving Nutella Milkshakes. Yep, you read that right- NUTELLA MILKSHAKE. They're my absolute favorite! Boloco can be a bit busy at times so be prepared to have a bit of a wait. They call out food orders from the counter so remember to pay attention as you wait for your food to be ready. Wouldn't want to miss out!

  • Christine S.

My husband comes here for lunch a lot; I came for the first time last night because we needed some quick dinner before a show. I really like the mix-and-match you can do, choosing your size, wrap/no-wrap, sauce, and protein. I had a bowl, teriyaki, with vegetables. It's fast food, salty, but tasty. I had the "original" size bowl but could have eaten the "big" bowl easily (considering it was just brown rice and vegetables). Having brown rice rather than white is a great touch. I felt so healthy. The counterguy was very helpful, as all the choices can be overwhelming the first time.

  • Eli C.

We were ready to really like this place. Conceptually, a burrito place that offers more flavor profiles then just tex-mex is a win in my book. In reality, the servers were not super friendly, and somehow the rice in the burritos was both undercooked/ hard and mushily overdone. The tikka masala burrito was bland, the Memphis was better, and improved greatly with some smoked Tabasco sauce.

Today we saw this place at the magic hat octoberfest and decided to try it tonight as lines were long everywhere else. Food was amazing. Big props to KATELYNN at the register. She was so nice and helpful as I think I was a pain in the butt. Will hopefully go back again.

After finding this place lacking years ago, I came back into the Burlington location after having positive experiences at one of the DC locations. And this time was better than expected! I came in with a free birthday burrito on my card, and when the system wouldn't work because I didn't have the physical rewards card, the manager just comped the burrito. I was happy it wasn't a hassle, and think they are run much better than they were when the store first opened. I'm much more likely to go back now.

I love Boloco. They have great prices and the portion choices make it really easy to decide what you want based on how hungry you are. I love the mini combo, because I have a hard time deciding what I want quite often when I'm going out to eat. I always have a hard time choosing between the Bangkok Thai, Summer, and Classic Mexican. Last time I went I got a mini combo and tried something new, the Buffalo and the Tikka Masala, both of which I was impressed with. Their shakes are wonderful as well. Nutella shake, mmmm. Their service is wonderful too. The second to last time I was there, my boyfriend and I had ordered some food and a couple drinks, and they were busy, but they seemed to have skipped over my burrito. He got his, I kept standing, waiting... just before I decided to ask about my food, one of the ladies working behind the make line noticed, apologized, and said she'd get that out right away. She brought it out herself, then handed me a card for a free burrito next time I went in, apologizing profusely. I was very impressed.

Best burrito place in town. Amazing flavors and SOOO many options. You can really customize your order. There are tons of options to cater to many different tastes. The prices are great and the service is friendly and professional. Their guac is great, however their chips can be stale sometimes, just let them know and they will hook you up with fresher ones. Big portions. Big flavor. Great for a quick lunch.

Boloco is so so for burritos in the Burlington area. They're more wrapping creative food combinations in a burrito shell than real burritos. Pros: three sizes of burritos so there's no need for a nap afterward, inexpensive, friendly staff. Cons: I didn't find the Thai burrito to be a standout. I prefer New World Tortilla if I'm going for creativity in a burrito shell. If also say for the Thai wrap that the celery chunks are way too big. A burrito is for eating with the wrap. Sometimes the celery chunks were so large I'd have to choose between eating just a mouth of celery or a bite that had stuff in it, but with the bonus of celery falling onto my plate. Ya...picky but I can't walk and eat this beast at the same time:)

Globally inspired and delicious! Check the sizes on the wall- the men needed an 'original' size to get full. I was ok with a small. Burritos: 1) Teriyaki with carnitas- "amazing"! So good he went back for another. 2) The Summer with carnitas- "delicious"! 3) Classic Mexican with chicken- "very good with the addition id guacamole. I wish I had ask for hot salsa" The side of guacamole and chips was perfect to share. The chips are fresh and perfectly crispy. The kids meals were perfect. Great sizes and the Nutella shake was so good they wanted another one.

Blech. Creativity does not equal quality. By the time you finish your curry burrito you'll be longing for chipotle. The people who work there are friendly, though.

I am sorry but Chipotle is far far superior in every single way: bigger portion, properly cooked rice and beans, more flavors in the meats, more sensible combination of ingredients. Boloco tries to present itself as a fusion burrito place with mango sauce etc but it's not doing it right in my opinion. I surely would not go back.

To residents of other parts of the country, the burrito counter is probably a familiar experience, but it still feels new to me. Boloco is the first I've reviewed, but it strikes a curious contrast with the ones I know better. I'm accustomed to following my meal's progress down a line of people preparing it for me, and asking about the beans, salsa, and other ingredients I'd like to include in the burrito. Not at Boloco. Instead, a menu offers about a dozen recipes, which include flavors from other places in the world. I considered a Thai-influenced dish, but instead went with their Cajun chicken (in a bowl, because when I eat a burrito it tends to explode and endanger nearby diners). The resulting dish was tasty, but not a standout, and not quite as good as the bowls whose assembly I've directed at other places. I'd certainly go back, if only to see what they do with some of the other options, but it's not a first choice. For the record, in our party of four, only one of the three burrito eaters managed to hold his meal together. I was duly impressed. Mercifully, there were no injuries. ================== Update: That last paragraph is a tribute to a well-stuffed burrito, which just about has to come apart at some point in the eating process. I've also had it pointed out to me that you can specify the fillings in your burrito when placing your order.

We moved to Burlington from Boston. There are some things about Boston I miss. I am glad Boloco is not one of them. I am a Boloco fan and this Burlington location lives up to the good Boloco name. There are two leather chairs which are fun to sit in. There are also window seats for people watching. It's right on Church street -- a good location. Fast friendly service.

To be honest I would give Boloco a 3.5. It's all right, I usually go here if I'm downtown because it's convenient and wraps are generally good travel food. The food itself isn't bad, though everytime I have one of the wraps I always get this feeling like there's something missing. I'm not sure what it is but there's something about the wraps that feels incomplete, like there's something that should be there that isn't. I do enjoy the staff and I would say that the prices are pretty good, but the wraps always leave me unsatisfied. Truthfully, for the convenience alone this place is easily 5 stars.

I tried Boloco for a couple reasons - positive word-of-mouth and promises of craft beer. So, in we strolled on a damp Thursday night before a movie. It's corporate clean, like the Chipotles of the "Mexican" fast food world. Before you get to the register, there is actually a guide to the menu for first-timers. Does it really have to be this hard? I ordered a regular-size "The Summer" with pork on a whole wheat tortilla, which also contains mango, melted cheese, black beans, and boloco (white) rice. My girlfriend chose the "Tikka Masala" bowl. But to make this easier, as a ardent fan of New World Taco, let's just compare and contrast, shall we? Food: Massive Advantage - New World Taco The wrap at Boloco is not crisped at all. In fact, it was cold. It's like eating a hot dog in a cold bun. The cold wrap will not keep the lukewarm food lukewarm. The rice was hard, having clearly sat in the warmer for too long. Other than that, the burrito was bland. If not for the nearly empty bottle of smoked Tabasco at the table (whose was that, anyway?), I may have forgotten I ate there. Portioning was fair, but pales in comparison to New World. It's "Regular" is easily 3/4 the size of New World's and they get smaller. Beer: Advantage - Boloco Boloco has a wider selection of local beers including 22 oz. bottles. We tried the new Magic Hat - Vermont Pub & Brewery collaboration - a sour IPA. It was good! New World Taco still has Harpoon Oktoberfest. Boloco also has ciders for the gluten-free folk. Atmosphere: Advantage - New World Taco As it turns out, dank and dark is my thing, and my thing is New World Taco. It's got its own independent vibe whereas Boloco, being a regional chain, does not. Common Sense: Advantage - New World Taco It's great that Boloco touts your ability to compost its cups and things like that. Seriously, I think it's cool. But then why would you waste materials and tightly wrap my food in foil when I'm eating in the restaurant? Staff: Advantage - Boloco Even though I questioned the genuineness of our cashier's exuberance upon ordering our food, boy did she make us feel like we made the right choices. Staff seem to be friendlier, because, being on Church St. they probably do better business. New World would make an absolute killing downtown. Overall, Boloco is fine for what it was... a quick bite and a beer. Nothing to make the mouth go YUM. Nothing to lure me back.

Decent burrito with grass fed beef, which is awesome, if I do say so myself. Boloco features many styles of burritos such as "BBQ" or "Thai" which is pretty unique. However, if you're paying close to $7 for just a burrito, it should be pretty good and big. It was tasty, but not that big. If a Chipotle popped up on Church St, it would put Boloco out of buisness.

I came in looking for a cheap, yet satisfying lunch, and I found it! The sizes are a bit confusing, kind of like Starbucks except using small words (original, small, mini). I got a small thai peanut sauce with brown rice and bean sprouts with their deliciously rubbed carnitas. There could have been a bit more meat in my burrito, but it was still very good and well seasoned. The cashier was very helpful and offered me a taste of the carnitas before I ordered it. I also appreciated their concern for locally sourced food and composting trash.

A nice alternative to other fast-food burrito places. boloco uses naturally raised meats, which means humane living conditions, to antibiotics, and no growth hormones. So, that made me feel better about my lunch choice. I had the Cajun Burrito with braised pork. It was good, although not as Cajun-y as I had hoped. The blackbeans and roasted corn salsa leant themselves to the burrito style, unlike some other toppings might. Also, the burrito wasn't overloaded with rice and stingy on the good fillings. I also ordered a snack of chips & guacamole - both were tasty, just not really that special. As someone with food allergies, I really appreciate their "If you have X Allergy, we recommend the following burritos..." It's nice to know that they pay attention to these details.

WTF?!?!!! Peanut butter and chocolate shake. For some reason I ordered this shake cause i was really thirsty with a really dry mouth. And ya. They gave it to me and it was amazing. It tasted like reeses pieces making love to peanut butter cups with bannanas in my mouth! Apparently its healthy too because its made with skim milk. I never like skim milk but I love this shake. Skim milk, bannana, peanut butter and non fat yogurt. So I reccomend this shake to all not allergic to peanuts. Also I had the carnitas with mediteranian style. The carnitas doesnt taste authentic. But the mediteranian twist was a good taste, So many possibilities with the menu that you can really customize the flavor of your burrito. Cool place to sit and people watch when the weather is nice, They also have free WIFI. Which I know all yelpers love this,,,,

Bocolo is kind of like Chipotle, but with more selections, but less food. I thought it was pretty good; it's "americanized" "mexican" food, if you will. Service is fast, and they even tell you how to eat a burrito on the napkin. lol.

Went back to try other burrito combos. Didn't think much of their buffalo burrito. It was just weird eating rice with blue cheese dressing. Didn't like their Bangkok burrito. This kind of combination is best left eaten in a bowl as is with chopsticks and without a tortilla. Last time, I took it to go. This time, we decided we had time to sit and eat. Since it's "fast-food", there's no waiter service and thus, tables and chairs are not cleaned up after previous customers. We had to keep flicking bits of food found in our table area. For families with kids, they provide high chairs and there's reasonable space inside to park your stroller. Sorry, didn't get to check their bathroom if they have a changing table. With regards to what burrito to choose for little ones, I would suggest the Teriyaki burrito. We opened it up and our daughter picked on the broccoli, the rice, the chicken and the julienne carrots and left the onions and tortilla. It had a nice sweet flavor. PS- They have free Wi-Fi! And I found out that Boloco stood for Boston Local Company.

Great burritos! This is one of the best places to eat in BTV, even if it is a chain restaurant. There are so many choices to make your burrito out of. Some ingredients, such as tofu, bbq sauce, and buffalo sauce may seem odd, but they are really good. I recommend ordering off the "goloco": menu instead of ordering one of the flavors. You can fully customize your burrito on that menu. Another great thing i love is the Boloco card system. Its their rewards program. When you spend a dollar, you get 1 point, and when you amass 50 points, you get A FREE BURRITO. Ive gotten multiple burritos this way. BOLOCO = AWESOME

I have been a huge fan of this place since the old days when it was called "the wrap" and was located in Cambridge, MA. They make tasty fruit smoothies (I recomend the Cape Codder) and really good burritos that defy the hackneyed meat, bean, and rice paradigm. I am a huge fan of the buffalo chicken wrap with all white meat chicken-- it's got great spice and kick, balanced nicely against some crunchy celery and just the right amount of blue cheese. Others might yearn for a more traditional burrito from a place like Chipotle but I could not more excited to have a Boloco on Burlington providing some much needed variety. If you want a traditional burrito in Burlington, go to Moe's. If you're interested in a change of pace (or a buffalo chicken wrap) head to Boloco.

Whenever I venture down to church st I make a pitstop at bolocos. If you like a little spice try the Yucatan habanero which is pulled together with the tangy taste of the pickled onions. I wish the burritos were a little larger but with fresh, natural ingredients I can understand the portion control. If you do get the Yucatan then I recommend you cleanse your palate with a mango passion smoothie.

Shucks.

Perfect for what it is. Easy to order vegan. Lots of flavor options and totally customizable. I love that they offer regular, small, and smaller sizes vs. big, bigger, biggest for both the food and drinks. How refreshingly sane.

Burrito was blaaah and way, way too expensive (nearly $10 for a small, bland burrito and a small drink). I used the restroom and it was DISGUSTING. It smelled really bad, and there was NO toilet paper and NO soap! Also, the paper towels were on the sink rather than in the dispenser, and soaked through. Disgusting. Do your employees never wash their hands?? How was there neither toilet paper nor soap? That is completely inexcusable. They certainly weren't busy! Never again.

Boloco is another East Coast version of Chipotle, except you will feel like Goldilocks and the three burritos. They come in original (largest), small, and mini. And yes, the mini definitely is disturbingly small. And all the burritos are wrapped in such a way that they remind me of an empty toilet paper roll covered in foil. Boloco does a good job of offering more options with burrito flavor profiles as well as allowing you options to construct your own burrito. I like that they have barbecue, thai, buffalo, and even cajun flavors. You can then pick your protein and add or subtract ingredients. I tried a mini classic Mexican and enjoyed it. It's an Americanized burrito franchise so don't expect too much. One of my favorite reasons to come here is not for their burritos, but rather their shakes. Nutella is like the spread of the gods, and they have turned it into milkshake form. It is so delicious and creamy, but light on the fat since it's all made from non-fat frozen yogurt. I also love the Jimmy Carter shake made with creamy peanut butter and banana. I'm usually a fan of crunchy peanut butter, but I guess that would be weird in this case. I've also tried the soy berry shake, which is a healthier option for those weight watchers out there. Since there isn't any competition in Burlington from any Jamba Juices or Robek's, Boloco reaps the rewards from all my shake cravings. And I guess I might as well get a burrito too while I'm at it.

Similar to Chipotle, Boloco offers a selection of burritos and bowls. I tried the Yucatan Habanero (Original $6.25) which includes habanero salsa, tangy pickled onions, sour cream, black beans, boloco rice in a flour tortilla. You can fill it with choice of protein, which I chose the steak (grilled steak, grass-fed, humanely-raised, no antibiotics or added growth hormones). The steak burrito felt very healthy with the exception of the sour cream. The steak was tender and lightly marinaded, complimenting well with the onions and black beans. The boloco rice was somewhat boring, not really doing much to accentuate the burrito, but overall the burrito was good but not amazing. The habanero salsa did not help much in the heat department, only adding a note of spice to the burrito which I found a bit disappointing. I was able to try a Make-Your-Own burrito including grilled steak, sour cream, and sauteed onions that just blew my burrito out of the water. The sauteed onions were perfectly softened with just the right amount of sweetness to the marinaded steak that just brought big smiles to my face. It felt very similar to the common franchises like Chipotle, Baja Fresh, or Green Cactus, not adding much to the burrito world but overall a decent meal that was priced very fairly.

I've found that ordering online does save me time and I like the 10% off. Of course I'm taking advantage of the deal where if you buy one today or tomorrow, you get a free one next week! Hooray for free burritos!!

Great location on Church street this place pulls you in! Once inside you are just captivated by its charm. It's so not a Chipotle. It reminds me of an upscale hippy vegan college hole in the wall with great decor. They did not skimp on the decor. Lots of good taste here...pun intended. I ordered the Thai bowl and if I could have created more room in my tummy for more I would have. Just amazing. The brown rice is fluffy and cooked (thank you). The cucmbers were fresh...everything was fresh. The staff behind the counter is great. Fast pace and freindly. They were all working hard too. Very busy place but only waited a few minutes for the food. Fountain sodas...thank you. A lot of these places cheapen the drinks down to botled, help your self...but fountain is bubbly fresh. Local art hung on the walls...love. Great place. I'll be back.

I write this review and rate Boloco in the mindset of my average experience here. While I have had good and bad experiences here, I would still say it is relatively consistent. Firstly, I really like the general idea of Boloco. It's more than your standard burrito. The flavor offerings are what set it apart. I've tried all of them, including most specials. All are good. The only thing I didn't like was the GoLoco (where you design your own) because I am a terrible decision maker. Black vs. Pinto felt like Sophie's Choice. Prices are slightly above fair, but seem in line with competitors. Free burrito day is also 1$ large burrito day: a hidden gem and a great opportunity to stock up. The staff is friendly, easygoing, and occasionally competent. Sounds like a solid burrito joint to me.

Big fan, great price (smalls are plenty for me - "regular" just has more rice). My favs are the Summer, Bangkok and Korean BBQ (it was temporary but here's hoping they bring it back). I get them with brown rice in a bowl. Get a Boloco card because they give great rewards (free item for every $50 spent and freebies of new menu items).

Changing my review from 4 stars to 3 stars. Reason 1: they got rid of the habanero burrito Reason 2: they cut back on giving out freebie offers for boloco card holders Reason 3: not as clean as used to be Used to come once a week, now I think it'll be more like once a year

Shucks.

Service is fast, and they even tell you how to eat a burrito on the napkin. lol.

Had the Summer Burrito with a bunch of mango salsa. i forgot to get sour cream, but it ended up being fresher and lighter than most burritos i eat. Prices were maybe $0.50 higher than I would ideally like, but they seem to be consistent with other burrito places. i'll be back.

Tasty, interesting burritos. I like the Bangkok and the Memphis ones the best. I agree with Sarah P. about the Mediterranean though. It sounded good in theory, but it tasted off. The staff is very friendly.
