Best deli sandwiches. This place is a deli/mini grocery store. Brown Cow Cafe nearby is better for breakfast and more of a coffee shop ambiance. The people making your sandwiches are super awesome. Not really a place to eat in but they have lots of outside seating. They have benches outside next to a bunch of trees. I eat here every time I am in town.

Perfect quick stop on way through town. Service was friendly and fast. We sat outside to stretch our legs and take in fresh air. We had sandwiches and clam chowder. All were pretty good. No complaints at all just not out of this world delicious.

Solid stop on the way home from Mt Snow that also gives you an opportunity to drive through this cool little town. Definitely an earthy type deli with a great beer and wine selection as well as some goods I've never set eyes on (i.e. a Denver based chocolate company, Hammond's). They are proud Boar's Head purveyors, but I ended up with curry chicken salad in a wrap topped with chevre and sprouts. For the $8-$9 it was huge and weighed what seemed to be close to 10lbs. Other sandwiches were the basics with great twists like an avocado spread and I want to say garlic aioli. The curry chicken salad itself was delicious. A nice touch of curry, a little creamy and the portion size was huge. The thick layer of chevre was overkill (I'd probably just opt for chicken salad in a container next time). I appreciate they didn't cheap out on cheese, but I mean there was a lot and I'm not quite sure it complimented the curry flavor. A clean bathroom for customers, plenty of seating outside, with a few tables in making it a perfect spot for lunch in warm or cold months. A successful roadside stop if you ask me!

Looking for a great bite to eat that isn't the crapola fast food joint off the hwy?....this is the spot. We stopped by as were passing thru town and found this very cool corner market that felt like a cross between corner market/whole foods/ice cream/coffee shop. The employees were very pleasant and the owner very friendly. Definite 5star quality and service.

As good as it gets for a sandwich. You have to try the shrimp with chipotle mayo and sprouts on a pretzel roll. Truly as good a sandwich as I've ever had. Visited over the weekend and sat outside. Lovely people serving.

Excellent friendly service and a HUGE and delicious breakfast sandwich, coffee & a water for $6!! Total steal!! Ham, egg & cheese on a pretzel bun. Killer!!

I stop by with my family for a late lunch. We were all extremely satisfied with our meals. I ordered the Mayor Mark on multi grain bread. It was on of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The staff is friendly and very helpful. You won't be disappointed if you stop by, this is a wonderful choice for lunch!

Amazing sandwiches. Perfect corner deli. I had a BLT on a pretzel roll, it was fabulous. My husband had turkey, bacon and cheese. The sandwiches had specific names but I can't remember them...what a find, I wish we lived closer!

Homemade sandwiches, artisan bread, great locally made food. All the best of high end small town VT and this New Yorker loved it. Very sweet owners too!

I have been meaning to stop in this place for months. Finally did and I'm glad I did. Had a fantastic tuna melt sandwich on beautiful bread. The sandwich was huge and very tasty! I will definitely be back to try all the other delicious looking selections. Great place for lunch!

We found this place on Yelp. We were on our way from Pennsylvania to Rutland, VT. This is a small place on a back street. The store is very nicely done. Very clean and neat with a wide variety of products. I had a grilled tuna melt sandwich on multi grain bread and my wife had the curry chicken wrap. Both were excellent! There are two tables inside the deli and two tables on the porch. This place is worth finding.

Stopped here for lunch here today passing through town; excellent sandwiches, and very pleasant young ladies working there. Very clean, and what gives it the 5th Star, a very clean unisex bathroom. Wish they had more seating, but we did have a table. Good for to-go sandwiches as well. Give them a try.

Great corner store, slice your sandwich while you wait. I had the Mayor (turkey with avacodo) and my boyfriend had the Italian on gluten-free bread, both were great!

A classic Vermont corner market. High quality breads and Boars Head meats and cheeses, paired into some awesome combos on their specialty sandwich menu. I had the ESM RB, which was delicious. Super friendly staff, a great selection of snacks and beverages, and they have Liz Lovely cookies, which is a huge plus for me. While not in the center of town, the two blocks from my office on North Street is an easy walk for lunch and totally worth it and being removed from the bustle makes their picnic and cafe tables a very relaxing place to eat. Glad I decided to explore!

Got two sandwiches before we hit the road for a long drive -- both were tasty, well proportioned and with quality ingredients. Definitely going back.

Great sandwiches, plus lots of other food and drink items -- even wine and beer. Food is freshly made with high-quality ingredients. Can't beat the roast beef sandwich on the pretzel roll, and the ham and cheese with french fried onions! Owner and staff are terrific, very friendly. Location is a bit off the beaten track, not on Main Street -- so more known by the locals and nearby hospital and college staff for a lunch spot, not so much by tourists. If you are visiting, check on this great local spot. When the weather is nice, the porch and picnic tables are wonderful for eating outside.

I was walking by with my dog, and the owner stepped out to say hi. We have been long anticipating the opening of this neighborhood market, and the place is immaculate! Sweet front porch for having your sandwiches and a few tables inside - The Boars Head Deli roster is TDF (ta die for!), and I mentioned my step mom loves their bologna. Well, didnt Ted just pop behind the counter to procure a nice sized sample for me to take home to her! And he promised to have treats for the dog, soooo I am pretty sure it will be a daily stop on our walks in the hood. Welcome!

I just bought the perfect roast beef sandwich from this place! Loads of meat, the perfect amount of horseradish and mayo, red onions, awesome Swiss cheese on fresh rye bread. My day has just been made!
