My hopes were high for Red Robin, which turned out to be more of a Joker (not that funny, but I couldn't resist!). Our waiter, was obviously new, which didn't enhance the experience. I was surprised that he referred to the donations from lemonade going to "Alex's Foundation" instead of "Alex's Lemonade Stand"--this was my first clue that he was new. Our second was when he told us he didn't know the "soup of the day" because he was new. No biggie, he offered to find out while grabbing us drinks. He forgot to check the soups, so papa bear got the chicken tortilla soup (which he probably would have ordered anyway). Our appetizer (wings, served on a bed of potato chips, with blue cheese sprinkled on top, celery, and ranch) came out first, but the soup again was forgotten. When asked about the soup, our waiter responded that he thought papa bear wanted the soup served with his meal. Papa bear did not want this. Side note: is there a large contingent of folks that like to be served soup on the side with their burgers? I had the DGB, which is a burger with roasted tomatoes, aioli, lettuce greens, and about a half gallon of lemon vinaigrette. I am down with a juicy messy burger, but this was beyond that. I was highly disappointed. Remember this: Friends don't let friends order the DGB. I did have a bite of the guac burger, which was awesome. My mouth, stomach, and soaking wet hands/arms, were sad that I did not order that instead. Finally, the bottomless fries are a nice touch... if they ask and bring them out when you are ready. Overall, I might return, but would definitely be more conservative about what I order and vocal about drink/fry refills.

I love burgers and garlic. The garlic fries here are awesome. The Red Robin Teriyaki Chicken Burger is so good! When it comes to eating at dine-in burger restaurant Red Robin does a decent job. The one thing that upsets me is. No matter how heavy of a sweater I bring along with me to dine here. I'm still always cold here. I've dined in several sections in the past at this location, seems that I will always be in a forever search for the Artic free zone.

It's a known fact that I am a burger man! I can eat all kinds of burgers anytime of the day. I used to live near this Red Robin and I had never really eaten here. We had a last minute stop in Fair Lakes so opted to have burgers. We sat at the bar since we were in somewhat of a rush. The bartender was efficient in taking our drink and food orders. Draft beer was priced right and I went outside of my comfort zone and ordered a 'gourmet' burger that included bleu cheese and some sort of chipotle mayo. The burger was pretty hefty along with that hearty bun. It was cooked to my satisfaction. My only issue was the lack of fries on the platter. Yes, it's an all you can eat french fry option but it's a tease when you have to keep requesting more fries. There is at least a 5-10 min wait for those fries. If you are a french fry munching fiend, you know that once that burger is done, then the fries are done too. Burgers at this sit-down place fluctuate between the $10-$12 zone, so it would be nice to have my meal all in one sitting.

It's tough to find a nice thick juicy burger made with a toasty bun, topped with fresh shrooms and grilled onions! But alas, we were driving by the ole institute of Red Robin and thought of their burgers! We sat at the bar for quick service and a fast cocktail. Our server was quick to service and provided those bevvies as fast as we ordered! The full menu was overwhelming, and my original craving for a big fat juicy burger was pushed aside when the appetizer menu flashed before my eyes! My two favorite fried foods in the world are fried zukes and 'shrooms, both available in their 'Pick 2' for $7 option! So that decision was made! The hubby ordered a fat juicy burger with a bleu cheese and chipotle sauce. That burger came with their 'never ending' fries! My fried zukes and 'shrooms were flashed fried with a thick tempura type batter. It was ridiculously greasy even with those fresh veggies. They included some yummy sauces but those sauces could not disguise the grease on my veggies. Not something I would order again. The hubby enjoyed his massive burger but unfortunately, when they only include a few fries with the order, and the next 'AYCE' fries take another 10 minutes to arrive, it's not an enjoyable eating experience. For almost $12, it would be nice to receive a larger batch of fries instead of waiting for the small plate to arrive every 10 minutes.

Sure, it's not really what I think of when I think of "gourmet," but it certainly isn't bad! I've always had a soft spot for Red Robin and their baskets of bottomless fries (gotta top it with that crack-like seasoning), and this location is the definition of A-OK. They renovated this location recently, so it's got a new section with nice windows, a patio, and a chalkboard wall to entertain the kiddos while you're waiting for a table. Some of my favorites on the menu include the Royal Red Robin (cheeseburger with an egg), the Banzai (teriyaki and grilled pineapple), and the guacamole bacon burger (self-explanatory). I also really enjoy their prime dip sammy. My one tip is to skip the apps -- especially the o-rings, as tempting as even the "o-ring shorty" might be, because with bottomless fries you'll have more than your fair share of goodies to snack on. I usually ask for a basket of fries to start out with as a makeshift appetizer, in fact!

*SERVICE WAS 5 STARS* *Food was a 3.5* Four of us came for dinner and drinks on Thursday, the bar had just enough seats left for my group so we opted for that. Josh S. was our bartender- he was fantastic; really attentive, kind, and funny- he wins the 5 star for this review. This was a huge change from my last experience at the Chantilly location where we just weren't thrilled with anything from service to the food but this trip to Fair Lakes redeemed the name. He and another bartender were together for about 30 minutes of our visit, once the other guy left it was Josh running the bar, service bar, and running food to the bar area. My group didn't feel neglected or ignored even with all the extra work Josh S. had to do; he was really great- I plan to come back just to see him again! About the food....it's good, bottomless fries are just fun in general, the burgers are huge and you definitely leave full; it's just not my first go to choice. I had a bacon cheeseburger, medium- it was cooked exactly how I like it. The chipotle mayo or whatever the pink sauce is was really awesome, as is the ranch; I'm not a fan of the honey mustard, however, which is sad because that's my go to condiment everywhere else. Overall we had a really great time, can't to come back and sit at the bar with Josh!

Great service by my good dude Joel from Flordia! Got everything I wanted on time and he was super nice and mannered. The burgers was really good. Medium rare came out just perfect and the sauce they gave us was more than enough. Fries were just perfect and so was my Irish Beer Shake. Everything was awesome!

The food is good, but dang... The service is horrible & slow. My husband and I needed a refill before we even got our meal, and had to ask twice (we would've asked more, but we never saw our waiter). We didn't get our refill until we got our CHECK!!! Not a good experience at all. We will not be back!

Nothing special about this place. Took forever to get our food. Bottomless fries were in a container so small we had to order another basket when the first basket arrived. Went through 5 baskets to get enough for two people. Burger was expensive and nowhere near gourmet. Lots of better choices out there. In fact, for what I got, Micky D's would have been better. Slow service, mediocre food and high price make this a very questionable place to go.

Good burger, good atmosphere, good service (most of the time). My personal favorite is the Whisky River BBQ Burger. I also tried the Royal Red Robin burger for the first time last week, it was really good as well. I'll sure try other burgers as they all look very good.

Red Robin is mostly about the burgers when we come down to it. My husband and I stopped here on a Sunday on the spur of the moment after agreeing we were both hungry and we didn't know what we wanted to eat. I ordered the crispy Altantic cod sandwich and subbed the fries for a side salad. The sandwich was soaked in mayo and grease. This is not my first time getting this so I know it can be done better. My husband got the Royal Red Robin and loved it. He said the grill cooked made it just right. As soon as he bit into it the egg saturated the burger and bun making it a delicious taste bud experience. It made me very evidence as my crispy cod was no where near the experience. One thing I thought was odd about our experience was being sat in the bar area. We were a couple that was planning to actually have a conversation instead of watching the Sunday night game. It was annoying because I kept hearing sports the whole time while trying to talk to my husband. LoL Myabe my hubby planned it this way? I guess I will never know. Service was slow and was lacking for being a slow night at this location.

I went to Red Robin for the first time today to check out their veggie burgers. I should've known things were off to a bad start when I had to wait almost 5 minutes to be seated. There was only one table filled in the whole restaurant, so I am not sure what all the waitstaff was doing. My waiter was either not paying attention or brand-new. She brought me Sprite instead of club soda, then started arguing with me though the drink was clearly sweet. "Well, I must have accidentally put some Sprite in there." After suggesting the French onion soup in response to my request for a meatless soup, she then brought me the clam chowder. When I pointed out that I ordered the French onion, she started to argue with me. "Oh, did you decide you wanted French onion?" I had to remind her that she's the one that suggested it. Just terrible service. The French onion soup, when it finally arrived, was tasteless except for an over abundance of salt. The crouton was soggy. I didn't finish it. The waitstaff ran off after delivering my veggie burger without giving me a chance to ask for mustard, which is not kept on the table. Then she didn't return for five minutes. The veggie burger was plain and tasteless. Elevation Burger has veggie and vegan burgers that taste much better for half the price. I see no reason to spend money on poor service with argumentative staff and mediocre food. I will not be returning.

Decent food and horrible service. On a non-busy Sunday for a late lunch, restaurant greeter was MIA for a few minutes. After we were seated, another 5 minutes went by before our waiter even acknowledged us. Then he got a Sprite order wrong and bought over water instead for my son. There were no sugar on any tables and after requesting and waiting another 5 minutes for sugar for my iced tea, I ended up getting it myself. Another 10 minutes went by and finally got our food but there were no napkins or utensils given to us. Requested for napkins and waited another 5 minutes for service. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this Red Robin and probably all Red Robins in the future.

I went to eat here twice in the past few months. The first time was much better than the second time. However the first time when I ordered my burger medium-well it came out looking more like medium rare. The burger and fries were EXTREMELY salty--and I love salt---but this was an excessive amount of salt!!! Their "bottomless fries" pitch annoyed me---because they advertise "bottomless fries" which seems like a good thing at first to those who love french fries--but they bring out a plate with a very small amount of french fries that are placed in a little circular metal thing that looks like a napkin ring. When you go to lift the napkin ring off your 5 or 6 french fries "wahlahhh! Bottomless fries! Get it?! The fries fall through the napkin ring and therefore there is no BOTTOM to them = BOTTOMLESS FRIES!!!" I wanted to punch the jerk who came up with that smartass idea. The second time I went I ordered my burger well-done but the burger was so greasy that the grease saturated the bun and I could barely eat it because I was so busy trying to peel off the greasy spots that my burger fell apart. I asked for a basket of fries as to avoid having to ask for more fries because their bottomless fry advertisement is a sham, as I mentioned above and what did I get? The same small amount of fries in a basket thats very shallow to give the appearance that you're getting a lot more than you are! Wow. Both visits the fries were overcooked. I asked for fresh fries and by the time they brought them out I was ready to leave. I put them and the rest of my burger in a to-go box that made my entire car smell like a noxious fart within 10 minutes. If the food in a box can make my car smell that bad within 10 minutes...I was scared to eat it so it went in the trash. Within hours my fingers were so swollen from all of the sodium in the food that I was in pain.

We go to this Red Robin every Saturday while we are running errands. We really like it here! The food is great! I really like the turkey burger...it taste just like Thanksgiving! The salads are good, the burgers are good, and the milkshakes are AWESOME! We usually sit in the bar area with Josh and Kenzie. They are great servers! It's always an enjoyable experience.

How can you not love a big fat burger topped with bacon and all types of delicious toppings? I come here when I want one of those types of burgers. This location is a favorite, preferred over the Chantilly location for service and food. It's kept clean from the dining area to the bathrooms. The service is always great, friendly people which is how it should be, but it seems like they definitely are trained to have excellent customer service here. I came yesterday (4/5/14) for the first time in a couple months and they have changes their menu. It's now in a notebook style unlike the gigantic one page menu. I like this better because it's easier to look at. The chili cheese fries had a good amount of chili and bacon on top with their thick cut steal fries. The Bruschetta Chicken sandwich with pesto aioli, provolone and balsamic cream was crazy good. I usually get a burger but I wanted to try their chicken and I am surprised at how good it was. For a burger my favorite is the A1 peppercorn which has onion strings, peppercorn spread, bacon and pepperjack cheese with an onion bun. Don't even think about the calories on this one because you'd probably need to start doing cardio immediately. Chili con queso and onion tower are my favorite appetizers. As for the fries, you can't go wrong with bottomless fries especially when you asked for the garlic parmesean fries! They are free and are bottomless also! The most important thing is to get the Red Robin loyalty card. You get rewarded and points for eating here. When you get 9 burgers, the 10th one is free. But they have $5 off, free milkshake, free birthday burger and other cool rewards, so definitely sign up.

Our server, Nicole, was very attentive. I like the new decor. The menu is extensive and would appeal to any person's taste. We enjoyed the appetizer: artichoke & spinach dip. The portion could have been a little bigger. I ordered and enjoyed the Cobb salad & my honey had the gourmet burger ... Both yummy!

If I could give it zero stars I would. This restaurant was so dirty we left. There was food on the floor of every dining room. We were seated at a dirty booth and given sticky menus. Needless to say, we got up and left.

Burgers are decent and cheap, alcohol is a bit overpriced, but they do have an awesome selection of vegetarian and non-beef sandwiches and burgers which is really good for those trying to stay away from red meat or meat in general. My biggest issue is probably more of an issue with myself, in that there are always tons of children around being super loud and annoying. I realize this establishment caters to children and families with children, but nonetheless be warned that this is not a super great place to go with just your significant other for a burger and beer, nor would I recommend it for watching sports, the atmosphere is just not conducive at all.

This place has really gone down hill. Yes it's been remodeled but the food is low budget and poor quality. The service, if you can call it that, is piss poor. I won't be eating at this location again.

How I heard of this place: My first taste of Red Robin was when it opened in Bellingham, Washington while I was in junior high school. This particular one was introduced to me by my husband, Chris, when he had a burger craving on our day out running errands. Type of cuisine: Burgers and fries to start...Now patrons can also enjoy wraps, salads, sandwiches, mac'n cheese, prime rib dips, nachos and even pasta! Ambiance: Bright, cluttered and full of random artwork, from photographs of James Dean to cats, the Red Robin mascot, to Nagel prints. Booths and table-chair seating are available for diners wishing to enjoy their meals. The space is loud with music, children and the bustling of the diners. Serving staff is friendly, bubbly and very customer-service friendly. What I ordered: To start, our long-awaited monster-sized Mint Brownie Shake ($4.49), of cool mint syrup and chewy Nestlé® Toll House® brownie pieces, topped off with whipped cream and more Nestlé® Toll House® brownie pieces. Knowing how I always get my free refill on bottomless fries, we requested ours before the burgers arrived in order that we could begin munching and not have to order an appetizer. For our main entrees, I selected the California Chicken Sandwich ($9.79), a tender, juicy grilled chicken breast topped with Provolone cheese, zesty guacamole, applewood smoked bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles & mayo. A side of ranch dressing for my fries, and I was all set. Chris chose the Whiskey River BBQ Chicken Sandwich ($9.99), a tender, juicy grilled chicken breast basted with Red Robin's signature Whiskey River® BBQ Sauce and topped with melted Cheddar cheese, crispy onion straws, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. A side of honey mustard dressing, and Chris was also ready to dig in! On a return visit, Sunday, February 19, 2012: Chris and I returned to this location on our way home from his birthday weekend in Lexington, Virginia, to partake of his free birthday burger. On this burger evening, Chris enjoyed the Prime Chophouse Burger ($9.69), "distinguished and delicious, this juicy burger is layered with horseradish-sautéed mushrooms, gourmet steak sauce, Provolone cheese and piled high with crispy onion straws. Served on an onion bun with creamy Country Dijon Sauce." For me, it was a tough call between burgers, the croissant BLT and the Whiskey River BBQ Wrap. Then, when I narrowed it down to having something hot, my staple Honey Mustard Chicken Burger seemed too been there done that, and I went with the Burnin' Love Burger ($9.59), "You'll get fired up for the crisply fried jalapeño coins, tangy salsa and spicy Pepper-Jack cheese layered on top of our cayenne-seasoned burger. It's topped with lettuce and fresh tomatoes to cool things off and served on a jalapeño-cornmeal kaiser roll with chipotle mayo." With a side of lemonade (that, I just noticed, was free!) for Chris and two additional baskets of bottomless fries with ranch dressing, our bellies were full and our faces happy! What I loved: I love the endless fries! Between the two burgers, the Whiskey River had more flavor and zip. The freshness of the California was noticeable in the vegetables and guacamole, but after having tried the BBQ sandwich, first, it left something to be desired. Why I loved it: Quick, simple, consistent and free for your birthday! I guess we will be back next month to celebrate! Cost: Average ($8-$10 per burger with bottomless fries)

Going downhill. The Fair Lakes location is simply filthy. The tables, the floors and the silverware: the restaurant appears to be staffed by a bunch of teens run by management that just doesn't care. It's a shame because it was a nice place a year ago.

I usually get the Teriyaki Burger or Chicken Sandwich, which is always a favorite. Last time there (last week), I decided to try a Swiss Mushroom Burger that was also very juicy and tasty. The service was pretty good - our server happened to be a "trainer" so at least you know he'd been at it for awhile. The restaurant was clean, but there was some kind of issue with the heat. First the heat would come pouring down on us (vent right over our heads), then change over to air conditioning! Hot, cold, hot, cold. I finally mentioned it to the server and he said, "Ohhh, yes, we are going to have this problem all winter long." Something to do with sitting near the windows versus another part of the restaurant where the heat thermometer is located. Remind me next time to NOT sit by the windows, then! Ordered a Raspberry Iced Tea and the server brought one over with another one closely followed behind. He said he thought the first one didn't have enough raspberry syrup in it so he brought another one just in case. Huh, a little strange since I hadn't even tasted the first one! But okay, he was kind of right...the second one DID taste better. I guess he knew his raspberry syrup limitations. All in all, we had a pretty good time at Red Robin. The burger was decent, the fries are delicious (even though that "bottomless" cup they put it in fools me every time...it's truly "bottomless" and if you try to pick it up all the fries fall out), and the service was good. A-OK!

Let's be frank. When it comes to Red Robin, I'm really biased. Because I'm in love. I swear, they must put something in that red relish, because I would drive to the ends of the earth for a burger with that magical condiment. Also, bottomless root beer floats are at the same time the best and worst idea ever. And this last trip, my boyfriend got a pumpkin pie milkshake {because he will and must have everything pumpkin}. I'm not a fan of pumpkin pie, just too much of something {pumpkin, most likely} for my liking, but I tried this milkshake. And holy crap, it tasted about as close to the real thing as a milkshake can get. And I was all at once impressed and disgusted {no offense, Red Robin, no offense}.

Family-catered restaurant with basic decor befitting a regular old burger place. But man are the burgers delicious! They can customize your burgers and even how well you want them to cook your burger. There are other places who do that as well but I feel they don't deliver and I always end up with overlooked meat that is either lacking in flavor or splattered in sauce. Love this place!

If I'm ever in the mood for a big, juicy cheeseburger or a yummy salad and don't want to travel far - this is the place to go for me! I have never had a bad experience here, but I honestly think it is all about whom your server is... and I always request the same one - Jacob Lee. Jacob is an all-star at his job. He can handle multiple tables without batting an eye or getting confused. He always has a pleasant attitude as well, even under pressure. During my last visit, he had at least 8 tables at all times and I still felt like we had his undivided attention. Like I said... he's an all-star! Whatever they're paying him at Red Robin, it probably isn't enough. During my latest visit, we ordered: raspberry tea, cherry lime flip (adult beverage), avo-cobb-o salad and an order of garlic fries. Yes, GARLIC fries... it's not on their menu, but you can ask for it and Jacob will make it happen! We also ordered the Sam Adams latest seasonal brew (pumpkin) and a garden burger with regular fries. The beverages were tasty, dropped off promptly and refilled regularly. The fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Although my salad was "complicated" (No blue cheese or olives and subbed shredded cheddar, with dressing on the side), everything came out exactly as I requested. The burger was also correct and tasted good (I mean, come on... it's a healthy, pre-made, veggie burger... how GREAT can it be?). But with the right toppings and Dijon sauce, Red Robin does pretty darn well with it. Throughout our dining experience Jacob came by to check on us regularly and join us in friendly conversation. Seriously, you just can't beat good service AND good food! There are just a few things to note... -When we were taken to our table by the hostess, I went to climb into the booth and the bottom portion slid out. Our hostess' response was "Oh, did it come out again? Oh, ok. Let me fix that for you" and pushed it back in. I appreciated the gesture, but the reaction was as if it was a normal, natural reaction and happens all the time. Um... time for a replacement RR! -Lastly, and of no consequence to RR, this place is very kid-friendly. It is not uncommon for the little people to be running around or loudly talking/screaming. If you're not a kid person, this place isn't for you during "normal" meal time hours.

Been coming here for over 15 years. They are open while under major reconstruction, which is a bad idea. Who wants to have a dining experience in a war-zone? There are sheets of wood on the floor, as the floors are ripped up. All the art work is off the walls and what remains are hundreds of holes in the walls where the art was hung. There are partially plastered walls, booths upholstered in the existing fabric and what I would assume is the "new" fabric on only one booth so far. There are tiles missing from the ceiling, most of the lighting it gone. There are holes in the ceiling where light cans should be and hanging wires, it's a mess. While I applaud them for their industry in trying to stay open during renovation, I eat out very seldom and when I do I want the ambience as well as a decent meal. My food was fine, though I didn't get what I ordered, but my friend found the grilled chicken in her salad to taste boiled and reheated on a grill and didn't eat her meal. We also waited quite awhile to get our food. That may be due to the renovation limitations. Hope the new and improved is worth coming back to.

I love Red Robin and have been going for years, 22 years to be exact...tonight was not my best experience with the chain. The Manager must have been off tonight as the dinner service was less than desirable. This review earns three stars because the food was better than expected but the cleanliness and food timing was very poor! To start the bathrooms were very dirty, no one was bussing tables and the food took about 35 - 40 minutes to get to the table after we ordered (the restaurant was not packed, several tables were open...approx 6:00 pm on a Sunday). Additionally, the floors were dirty and looked like they hadn't been mopped in a couple of days. We almost walked out, but the kids were hungry so we stayed. Our waitress, Christy, was awesome and kept our drinks full and kept telling us she was sorry for the long wait on the food. As mentioned earlier, once we got our food it was first rate, but the wait was a lot longer than we have experienced in the past. Bottom line, our experience would have been better if the manager/shift leader would have had cleanliness at the top of the list before opening the doors for business today and had kept on top of the cook staff to get food out of the kitchen faster.

Cocktails are over saturated with sugar and not consistent in taste. The appetizers and entrees did not taste freshly created (i.e., frozen food) and was not appealing. The food we had was either way too salty or just bland. Nothing really original. While not very crowded, we experienced slow service during our visit. What a shame. Two palms down.

Not only is this my favorite burger place but the service is unbelievable! Everyone is so friendly and they make sure you get exactly what you want. They're all so friendly and personable and put forth extra effort. Josh at the bar is the best, he always remembers my exact order and is just an all around delight to be served by. I highly recommend this to any burger lover. Great environment as we. Be sure to try the freckles lemonade!

Won't ever go to this location again. The hostess seemed like she was on drugs, vaguely staring at us, and then wandering really slowly to bring us to our table. Even though there were plenty of open tables elsewhere and it was after the lunch rush, we were seated in the back right next to the kitchen door. Not a great seat. She didn't bother to say two words to us after seating us. Just walked off somewhere with a really blank look on her face. We proceeded to sit there for 10 minutes waiting for anybody to show up and say anything to us. Plenty of waiters walked by during this time, and we saw a manager walking around as well. Then we got up and walked out. Nobody noticed, and the hostess wasn't anywhere to be seen.

Terrible service - if you sit in the bar area , be prepared to wait long and send your order back. It's amazing the lack of coordination.

I have been coming to this Red Robin ever since it first opened and it's service, or lack there of, has gotten extremely terrible in the last 6 months. On numerous occasions we have had to wait more than 5-10 minutes to get our drinks and over 35 minutes to get our food (not ordering an appetizer). This last attempt has put us over the boiling point to considering returning to this location. We decided to sit at the bar as usual, since the service was generally OK in the past. We were greeted by Matt who has been part of the terrible service in the last 6 months. We put in an order for onion rings, a wrap, and a burger, no substitutions or special orders required. We were promptly given our drinks in 5 minutes and the onion rings came out within another 5. There couldn't have been more than 30% of the restaurant filled at this point so we thought the rest of the food would have come out within 15 mins of the appetizers. Boy were we wrong. Approximately 4 tables became full at the bar while we were eating our onion rings. This was at least 15 minutes after we had sat down and ordered. 20 minutes passes by and no food. 30 minutes pass by, still no food. No word from Matt explaining why everything is taking so long. Another group of 4 sit down in the bar area. Now two of the groups who sat down after us get their food...WTF. I keep seeing the manager peering out of the kitchen looking up at the bar. Another 10 minutes pass by, still no food and ANOTHER group who sat down at least 20 minutes after us has their food. OK seriously, 10 more minutes we are about to throw down $5 for our drinks. Matt comes by and says our food will be right out. 10 more minutes pass by. Don't tell us our food will be right out and 10 minutes later it's still not there. By now every group except for one has received their food before us. Finally our food comes out. No more than 2 minutes later does Matt drop off our check. What if we wanted another drink, what if we wanted dessert....are we not allowed? No one asks us how our meal is going, if we need anything else, or if we need anything else to drink. The other bar tender takes our check and luckily we could get out of there in 5 minutes. Never have I been so disappointed in a meal at this Red Robin in 20 years. Had the manager not disappeared I would have expressed how bad this place has gotten and to not expect our return business anytime soon.

Lunch was a disappointment. I ordered the Keep It Simple burger and was not impressed. It was dry and lacked flavor. To the plain burger and bun, I added mayo, lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles. It was still dry. So, I then drowned it in ketchup (possibly my all time favorite condiment) and it was still dry. When I say it was dry, I mean I ordered it medium, and the color was right, but it was as dry as if I had requested well-done. Will probably not be coming back here for a burger any time soon. The lacking in the quality of burger may be enhanced if you were to order any number of their specialty burgers, particularly if they loaded it up with lots of moist and flavorful toppings. I'm a purist when it comes to burgers, though, and that burger better stand up on its own, in my humble opinion!! All that said, the sweet potato fries were perfection and I would go back just to pair an order of them with a beer!! Oh, and the service was totally satisfactory.

We've been to the Red Robin at Fair Lakes several times now. Seating is prompt. (We've had to eat in the bar area only once.) Prompt service, too, and iced tea refills. The burgers have been consistently good. On this visit, I enjoyed a Peach Iced Tea while waiting for a Bacon Cheeseburger. I like Red Robin's regualr burgers. Not too large, just right for lunch and cooked Medium as I like it. (I would like to see more regular burger varieties, but without the onion straws on top that seem to accompany the more exotic creations.) I've never tested the "bottomless" French fires. That woud be too much! But, I often will have a second helping. (Portions of the French fries seem designed with that in mind.) Sometimes the server will just bring a seocnd helping, sometiems ask if one is wanted, and sometimes you must ask. Today, our waitress asked if I would like a second helping.

We decided earlier in the day to go out for a nice Sunday family dinner, which is code for "my wife didn't want to cook tonight". The wife and I have both been craving burgers and Red Robin has been one of the few local burger joints we have not tried, so...off we went. First, we were greeted by the hostess (Taylor was her name) who had such charm, politeness, and a smile that just made your heart glow...like in E.T. She was so enrapturing she could of seated us outside at the back dumpster and I would have been happy. After she expertly grabbed our silverware (I'm pretty sure it wasn't REAL silver) she lead us to our table, expertly navigating through the other customers and Red Robin-ites, and made sure we were happy with the seating arrangements, bode us a farewell with another E.T. heartglow smile and dashed back to dutifully attend to the customers who were piling in behind us for the dinner rush. Our culinary service specialist (Audrey) came to our table and immediately and cheerfully set about getting us set up with drinks (CHERRY COKES!!!...I had about eight...teen of them...which is why I am wired to the hilt right now...SUGAR AND CAFFEINE!!!) and pleasantly took our appetizer order, which was a tower of onion rings. We opted for the larger stack being that we haven't eaten much all day, which is code for "we just want to jam golden fried oniony deliciousness down our necks". The culinary service specialist zipped off and placed our order and returned after a few moments of critical decision making on which burgers we would be partaking. While we were sitting a polite gentlemen employee (Jay/James?) brought a plate of fresh steak fries for the kids to help keep them occupied and less boisterous. Thanks Jay/James! OF NOTE: While I was looking at the menu, I noticed that one of the decorations in the restaurant was a carousel zebra perched overlooking our table...it was staring at me...it was STARING.RIGHT.AT.ME . It was looking at me with its large black eyeballs as if to say, "I'm a carousel zebra and this is all your fault...I'm made of wood and have a pole jammed through my midsection. Enjoy your meal!". At one point I swear it made an angry accusatory whinnying noise at me. We ordered our burgers (sirloin burger for the wife and a BBQ bacon burger for me), our 3 year old daughter got the corn dog from the kids menu with strawberries...who the hell orders a corn dog and STRAWBERRIES??? At this point an older couple and their grandson are seated in a booth adjacent to us...the kid has a robot tyrannosaurus rex. Yes, a robot T-Rex is now sitting right by me and now all I can think of is how I want a robot T-Rex too. This thing was awesome..it was remote controlled and had little tiny robot T-Rex arms and a GIANT fierce robot T-Rex head. I hope it doesn't have to reach for anything on the table with those tiny robot T-Rex arms. Awkward. The food arrives and everything is just as we ordered it, even the mayo I asked to be kept off my burger was kept off my burger. There is a special place in HELL for people that put mayo on their burgers. The burgers are cooked right and the fries are crispy...not that it matters because I just jammed half a tower of fried onion rings into my belly about 10 minutes ago. I look down at my chest and see my heartlight glowing again...but that's only because the hostess Taylor was walking by again with another set of customers. The meal was delicious and well prepared. Dessert? Of course, because eating a 2 foot stack of onion rings, 3 plates of fries, a BBQ bacon cheeseburger, and drinking eight...teen Cherry Cokes isn't enough for us tonight! We order the Mud Pie. It was great. It was large. It was chocolate ice cream. It had whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate frosting. This is where I hit the wall. Not even the heartlight of the delightful hostess, or the angry accusatory empty black eyeballed stare of the carousel zebra, or the supreme polite culinary service specialist Audrey, or even the robot T-Rex that is tauntng me one booth over can detract from the fact that I am the biggest glutton in Fairfax tonight. I feel...shame...and a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen. We had a wonderful family meal, with great service, in a very enjoyable, clean, and presentable environment. 4/5 stars! Serious rant: I am knocking off one star due to the fact that the burger patties are mass produced frozen pre-packaged patties that have no distinct flair or flavor about them. I think that if you are going to tout "gourmet" burgers on your menu, you should be making your own burger meat with some sort of seasonings or unique flair. I have seen an overwhelming majority of restaurants use these pre-fabricated patties and it really does take away from eating a proper old fashioned burger.

Always has been good eats here, but sometimes the service just sucks. Unlimited fries as usual, burgers are awesome! Shakes are pretty damn good too.

Made a mistake of ordering lunch to-go. They didn't even put plastic utensils or napkins in my bag, and didn't even give ketchup for the fries. The wrap practically was all apart when I brought it (I didn't shake it or anything, just brought it in my car to work) and I ended up eating a little with a fork, but then just put the whole thing in trash. Such incredible neglect to the meal. Needless to say, I will NEVER set my foot in this place again.

I am really surprised by the poor reviews on what is a chain place with typical service, quality of food and selection. I like several of the burgers (never have had one dry), but my favs are the fries and shakes. (I've never been exceptionally good at watching calories, thank goodness for good genes!) Keep in mind most of the staff is in the 20-something crowd and don't get overly rude with them. I listened to a small group at a table do nothing but nit-pick about every little thing as they came in, speak down to the waitress while she was taking the order and then complain that burgers were dry, fries cold, on and on and on (seriously, it was even annoying to me). Maybe the complaints were legit, but I had a pleasant interaction with my waitress and my food was cooked perfectly and fries pipping hot. Just sayin....

This place has a lot better lighting than the other Red Robin's that I've been to. It held a decent crowd on Monday night, and the servers did a god job of balancing multiple tables. Food is the same as every other Red Robin, bottomless steak fries as well as certain drinks. This place was a little chilly, though.

The evening started fine, then quickly went downhill. We ordered our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. My husband ordered a Smoke & Pepper burger with no lettuce or pickle, cooked medium. When it came out, it was well done with pickle and lettuce. He picked it off and we finished our meal. We had no napkins or silverware during our meal; we had to ask for napkins at the very end. I informed our server that I had a reward I wanted to use. He said ok and said he could take my card(since I had it ready) and process it to save us time. He then proceeded to disappear for 15-20 minutes. When we finally got the check, the card had not been run, and the reward had not been applied. I informed him of the reward, and reminded him I had given my card. He had to dig around to find my card, then went to run it again. About 5 minutes later, a woman brought the check and my card back over, but it was missing the slip for me to sign. We waited a few moments, and my husband went to track down any server he could find to ask him for our slip. That server told him that was the amount we owed, which is when my husband let him know we had already paid. They then found our slip, which we tipped and signed. The restaurant was not exceptionally busy, with many empty tables. There were other servers just sitting at the bar instead of working or trying to help. I'd much rather go somewhere pricier and get better service.

I've been to Red Robin 5 times within the last 2-3 weeks and they've yet to disappoint me. Plus with a $20 reward on the way, I doubt I'd be disappointed anytime soon. Their bottomless drinks and fries are served within minutes of finishing the first serving. Just enough time to make room for more. Their burgers are as good as they get: hot and fresh! They only downside is probably the wait time which I thought was a bit too long but their food is worth the wait for me at least.

We've been going to Red Robin since the late 1980s when we lived in the West. We enjoy their hamburgers. I like the Whiskey River and Peppercorn burgers. I especially like their bottomless french fries that come with the burgers - want some more fries - just ask. Occasionally we've had their onion ring appetizers, milk shakes, and mudd pie. The onion rings are full rings with a thick batter. They are good but were too much for two people. They are pretty flexible about substitutions - veggie burgers for real burgers and salad for french fries. Although we usually have (bottomless soft drinks) they do have a bar for an occasional beer. The last time we were there they had made some menu changes that we liked. Smaller versions of the selected burgers were available and smaller versions of the appetizers were available. These changes provide additional incentive to return.

Cleanest Red Robin I have been to. Horrible Service but the food was good. We complained about the service to the manager and he was very friendly and said he was 'ashamed' about the service as well and comped our meal. I would usually never come back after such bad service but the manager really seemed to care about our issues and I am hoping next time it will be better!

You know how they say you never want to eat where you work at? Well, that's definitely not the case with me. I use to work at Red Robin for a couple of years on and off through college, but I guess because I never ate here during my work shift, this doesn't really apply to me? Who knows?! Anyways! The burgers here are good and come out fairly quickly. I use to always order the Blackened Chicken Burger, which has a peppery seasoning on the chicken and smothered in a spicy chipotle mayo mix, which was heavenly and the perfect amount of heat to a burger. Sadly, it is no longer on the menu so now my go-to favorite is the Royal burger. Anything topped with a fried egg is sure going to be tasty and delicious (And a heart attack). The bottomless fries are just an added bonus (More bang for your buck!) I love the thick cut fries, not some skinny fries that other places serve. And the dipping sauces are great; I always get the Poppy Seed Honey Mustard and the Camp Fire BBQ. I've only ordered those 2 burgers every time I visit, so my review is not as solid as others who have ordered more off the menu. Not my favorite burger place, but good for a quick meal. Service is a hit or miss sometimes, but it is pretty consistent with the delivery on their food and that's enough for me to return. However, if this review was about my experience working here... this definitely would not have the same rating...

Terrible service the last time I was here. Usually I am fine with Red Robin- it's not the best food, but it hits the spot if you're craving a burger and fries. We had to wait 30 minutes for water, and 45 minutes for utensils. The server informed us that they "ran out of utensils" - WTF? The food was also cold- I ordered the popcorn shrimp, and part of it was still frozen.

Honestly, this location isn't very good. I had a burger and it had no seasoning whatsoever. I started on the fries and guess what! That's where all the seasoning went! I've NEVER had to wipe the seasoning off my fries before. My burger was dry and tasteless. Even with bacon and cheddar on it. It also gave me a stomachache all day. I do not recommend this location.

Literally the worst meal I have ever had. 13.49 for a so-called gourmet bacon cheeseburger that was McDonalds level quality. Bad food, way way overpriced. Go to 5 guys and have a much better burger for 1/3 the cost.

Bottomless fries! Yummy milkshakes!!! I love Red Robin! It's one of my go-tos for a quick bite with my boyfriend. This location is usually busy cause of the shoppers at Fairfax Corner, but I've never had to wait that long for a table. There's also the option of eating at the bar--full service. I like getting the veggie burgers. They have a huge burger menu and you can exchange any item with a Boca burger.

Red Robin is certainly not my favorite food spot in the area, but their food is usually pretty consistent and they have a nice selection of menu items. You can eat pretty healthy on their menu or you can indulge in a greasy burger and bottomless fries. Let's talk about the food: For the appetizers, I really like their mozzarella sticks and the onion ring tower. One of my favorite salads is the Apple Harvest Chicken Salad. The Whiskey River BBQ chicken sandwich and the Bruschetta chicken sandwiches are both delicious. I am not a big fan of the Teriyaki chicken sandwich because I actually got food poisoning from the chicken the first time I had Red Robin (over 10 years ago in Ohio). I just can't bring myself back to ordering it, but I'm sure it's fine if cooked properly. Many of the specialty drinks are a bit too sweet for my liking, but I do enjoy the freckled lemonade if it's watered down a bit. One thing I particularly do not like about this location is the screaming children. There are always birthday parties or large families with screaming kids. I usually try to be seated in the bar area to avoid this, but sometimes they are still seated there. As a result of all the kids, sometimes the place looks a little sloppy, with food and other junk on the floor. I will only agree to heading to Red Robin when I am in a mood to handle the loud atmosphere.

A few reasons why I love this place - it's always fun and we feel welcome here. Staff is very friendly! bottomless steak fries! great burgers! and besides that, my friend's daughter has a ton of food allergies and this place goes the extra mile to accommodate people with food allergens! They even have a book that lists all the available food options for people with all kinds of allergies! How about that?!? among the burger choices I like - A1 Peppercorn Burger Burnin Love Burger Blackened chicken burger The Garden Burger

Me and the wife are huge Red Robin fans, this one is a great location and has very good service. The wife is a vegetarian and gets the Whiskey BBQ burger with the veggie patty and loves it. I will usually get the A1 Peppercorn burger. The sauce and the burgers are very well done. I'm just a little confused, Red Robin started as a Bar in Washington near the University of Washington, and sold spirits. Burgers came around in the 80s and proceeded to grow. Weird at how the companies values and roots started as a drinking establishment and it's now a "family friendly" environment....

The food here is pretty good, except for the salads. Stay away from the leafy disaster at this place! The burgers on the other hand are pretty decent and come out fairly quickly. I would go back if I was in the area...

I only came here because I decided to be a vegan for lent and wanted to have the vegetarian burger for lunch. However, I came with a group of 10 people and so the service was extremely slow!! Plus, it was one of those flood days, and all of a sudden the roof started leaking, as in SERIOUSLY?

Bottomless steak fries?! Yes, please and thank you! I'd say Red Robin is a pretty hip, hapenin', place to have some pretty nomalicious food. Granted, when food tastes really good, that usually means it must be bad for you. As I'm sure is the case here. I had a nibble of the Mt. Olympus burger (bacon, artichoke and spinach dip, garlic mayo, feta cheese, on cibatta.) It was a pretty awesome nibble of that beast of a burger! I enjoyed a big bowl of their pesto pasta (sans the chicken) with "garlic bread." Pesto is amazing. Their "garlic bread" reminds me of the stereotypical wimpy kid in school that got pushed around. It was just sad, sitting there on it's own separate plate. Please, make sure to check out my picture of it. Service was okay and the restaurant is pretty laid back. There's a ton of random stuff in this place to amuse those who are easily distracted...or enjoy distractions (TV, random pictures, merry-go-round animals...) They even have a small section up front with a few arcade games. Can't say I've ever had a displeasing experience here, like their food, and like their bottomless steak fries even more (everyone knows the steak fry is the king of all fries!)

Hamburgers should not look like this: is.gd/xYrt5z No place should be allowed to call its hamburgers "gourmet" and have them be charred into grey blandness. Had it not been for the jalapeno peppers on it, it would have tasted like nothing. Awful. Won't be back.

We have been going to Red Robin for about 9 years, with our first being in Allentown, PA. We now live in Centreville, VA and go to either the Chantilly, VA store or this on in the Fairlakes Shopping Center. Today, apparently was not a good day to go to the Red Robin in Fairlakes. We decided to sit in the bar, (1st, mistake)...the tables were very dirty, we asked the server to wipe our table down, 10 min. later he had not returned. Finally he comes to the table, and we had decided to switch to a table across from us, because it was a little cleaner. He comes over and we asked for menus, and 2 glasses of tea, another 20 minutes go by and still no menu or drinks. I asked my husband if he was ready to leave, and low and behold the server shows up with the drinks, but no menu. He asks if we are ready to order. I laughed and said, "I would love to, but you have never brought the menus"....."Oh," he says...finally the menus show up, and we ordered Burgers with their fries. We asked him to bring us a plate of fries as they are refillable, and when they get to the table....wait for it...they are cold. Then the burgers get there, and he has given me the wrong bun. LOL...I was afraid to say anything for fear the food would be taken and I would never see it again. So, finally we ask for our check. He comes to the table, and we give him our loyalty card, he comes back, hands us the bill, we give him our credit card...oh, the bill did not come attached to the folio, so, he puts the credit card in his back pocket and goes over to another table to get their order. I got up and went to the manager.....The whole experience was less then stellar and I do not think I want to go back to the Fairlakes store for awhile. The experience was not all that, for sure...!!

I know I could start out the review like many people here... "I don't usually like chain restaurants but..." well, that IS true. but really, mine is "i rarely go to american restaurants, much less chain restaurants...but..." Red Robin is exactly what the overal review rating is..3.5 slightly above average. I'll round up my experience for today because of the current specials they have going on! This place is definitely a very family oriented place and I've been here and the chantilly location maybe 3 times...all of those times, service has been good and the food has been decent. I was craving a salad today and I remembered seeing the Southwest Chicken Salad ad for $5.99 and I said, "Let's go THERE!" to my boyfriend. We walked in and it was PACKED!!! however, luckily they had some great hostesses and turnover is quick- it was supposed to be a 10 minute wait, but only felt like 5. We were seated and I ordered the Chicken salad and my boyfirend got the prime Chophouse Burger (on special as well). Both were above average and my salad was HUGE! I took half of it home after even having my boyfriend help me eat some. The salad has a slight kick to it and my favorite was the fried jalapenos they put on the edge of the plate..yum! The burger was good too, maybe a little bit too saucy and slightly on the sweet end. My only complaint that resonates for both of the Chantilly and Fairfax locations is that many times, their bottomless fries could really use another 30 seconds in the frier because they tend to be mushy and not crispy. We also tried the new Strawberry freckled lemonade shake and this was delicious, but i didn't like the syrup at the bottom; I ate up all the whipped cream though! yummy! The server was efficient, but I commented that "he absolutely looked like he hated his job" even though everything came out perfectly. He was chill, just seemed like he was bored and wanted to get out of there(my boyfriend said, if I were working here, i would feel the same way though) and I was sort of glad I didn't have that fake, chirpy waitress who seemed like she was ecstatic to be there. EIther way, we didn't mind. Our meal here was good, especially with the specials going on, we would definitely be back. The question is though...if the specials weren't there...would we come back? Probably very rarely. The food is average but great for the special price, but for regular price, probably not. There are plenty of better options out there.

My bf and I have gone to Red Robin many times, however it was our first time to this particular one. We ordered Onion Rings which are always good. I had a chicken sandwich with broccli (Which was sub-par) My bf ordered a burger and fries. The meat had to have been spoiled, because he spent the night with loose stool and puking. DO NOT go to this Red Robin Location!

I so love Red Robin! I've never had a bad experience there and everything I've ordered has been yummy. They're good at refilling drinks quickly - and don't judge me because I can down a gallon of Iced Tea :) The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they always have balloons around and I don't like balloons.

Good service, good food. Love the gourmet burger choices! You can sub the turkey burger for a regular burger if you want - it's delicious! Lots of bread choices too - you can even get a lettuce bun which is really cool.

This Red Robin was just OK. I'm used to RR being a place for delicious burgers with quick and friendly service. The food was great here but the service was a little bit "meh". I also didn't remember any other RR being as jam-packed with kids as this location. Don't get me wrong, I know its a family restaurant but there were children literally everywhere. I guess we can chalk that up to being in Fairfax. We arrived to what we were told was a 5-10 minute wait, they host and manager then proceeded to seat every single customer before us and several parties that arrived well after us. After about 15-20 minutes, my husband asked about our table and we were the next group seated. We ordered drinks and waited quite some time for them. Finally we ordered our food: I got a Whiskey River Chicken sandwich and subbed the tomato for avocado--they did this for free which was really great! My husband ordered the Bonzai burger. I also asked for a cup of soup to be served before our meal and my husband asked for his fries first because we were STARVING. Unfortunately we didn't get the soup or fries first and our orders came out about 25 minutes later. The soup was taken off our bill with no problems. The restaurant was very busy and I definitely saw our waiter running around a lot so I certainly can't say anything bad about him being "lazy" or "slow". A little more organization would have meant a higher bill and thus, a larger tip for our waiter but he was a nice guy and I didn't really mind not having my soup. Overall-- it wasn't a bad experience but it's definitely not our favorite Red Robin.

I'm not a fan of chains, but when you go out for dinner with a group of 25 people, chains are about the only place that will accomodate you willingly and happily. They even split the check 25 ways for us without a complaint. They even suggested it before we placed our orders, smart guys! Food was decent, and can't really complain about unlimited fries. Was slightly annoyed by the birthday singing that erupted every 10 minutes. Literally, 6 times over the course of our dinner. I mean really, does everyone bring their families to Red Robin for their birthday? I guess so, since our group of 25 had 3 birthdays in it. We were courteous enough to not make the waiters do their happy clappy song for us, though.

Normally I never give more than three stars to a national chain, regardless, but this location was great. We (my lovely gal and I) dines there twice this last week, and both times it was great... The first night, our beertender (Josh?) was fantastic, as was the grub. The second time, we were just looking for a smoke free environment in which to watch the Thursday NFL game - the one where the awesome Denver Broncos came from way behind to win it... Anyway, they let us stay until the game was wrapped up, and our beertender (Kyle) was great - and very patient... They have a Hawaiian style burger, though that's not the name, that is out of this world good... I digress.

I remember eating here when it first opened back in 95 I think. I thought back then that they wouldn't last long at all. To my surprise, they're still here while some others around them closed. Went with my daughter for lunch and we both had burger. The burgers are not bad at all. But still, I keep wondering why people would go here and eat. It will be a very very long time before I go back to this place. There are just too many great places out there to eat.

We went here for my fathers birthday because it's his favorite burger place and he got a birthday coupon for a free burger. He is a lilttle on the obese size so you know he knows good burgers and he loves the bottomless fries. He ordered a royal red burger and he said it was lukewarm so minus one. My mother ha a pub burger that the waiter recommended and she loved it. It was juicy with an ale taste that reminded her of a drunken rib eye. I had a love burnin burger but I replaced the meat with salmon. It was delicious but not spicy enough so I got some tabasco and boy did that do the trick. I was in hell but in a good way.

i love you Royal Red Robin Burger. Whenever I have a craving for an amazing, thick, juicy burger I think of you. I can't live without seeing you again, my dear dear royal. When I bite into the delicious warm, dripping burger with egg (which is the best part) I can't help but think wonderful thoughts of running through a large field with my arms outstretching towards you. there are so many many other burgers that I am sure are so delicious and I am tempted to order something different but I can't. I have to have the royal. So good......

Took my kids here. They love this restaurant. We had coupons for free kids meals, which made the decision to eat here an easy one. My kids drinks (freckled lemonade) came out quick, so did our food, but it took a while for my drink (rootbeer float) to arrive. In fact, my drink arrived about 5 mins after my meal. I've come to realize that your server will forget about customers that sit outside. I ordered their signature Red Robin Cheeseburger. The patty was a good size, good flavor. It was bordering on too sloppy though. They added to many condiments. In previous posts people have commented that the fries were too salty. Not the case here I'm not wild about fries, but they seemed crispy enough. Average over all.

This is the ideal place in my opinion to take your kids for dinner. They have a huge affordable menu with lots of kids' options, friendly/fast service, a few arcade games in the lobby, and great milkshakes. They also have free balloons, AND they have a grabber thing for when your kid lets go of the balloon and freaks as he/she watches it float out of reach to the ceiling! Geniuses. My favorite is the peppercorn burger, which I often like to get with chicken instead of the burger. They are excellent here about accommodating special orders, even when you take it so far that your order barely resembles the original menu item. The onion rings are also great.

First time at a Red Robin a few months ago. I didn't go very hungry. I ordered a burger but never got to it because I ordered a side salad and was filled up by the time it arrived. The service was horrible. The server didn't refill the drinks. I almost went up to the dispenser to do it myself since it was near the booth. Food was fine ... nothing spectacular. I won't make it a point to go back but I am not against it either.

I normally enjoy the burgers at Red Robin, but this was an exception. I went for lunch and sat in the bar. They were not at all busy when I arrived at 11:30. The visit started out badly and went downhill from there. On my last visit, the server had given me a Royal Rewards card and told me not to activate until I knew I would be back within 2 weeks as I would receive a free appetizer on my next visit. I activated and visited today, but was refused the free appetizer. My server told me the promotion had ended, but he would check with his manager to see if they could still honor the request. Needless to say, the server never checked with the manager or followed up with me. Next my lunch date ordered his burger - some sort of double patty burger with bacon. The menu stated it came with American cheese, which he does not enjoy. He asked for cheddar instead and the server refused because it would change the "flavor profile" of the burger! Seriously! Last time I checked, customers pay for food in restaurants and it should please the customer's palate, not fit the "flavor profile". Then the last straw, the food itself. The burgers were flavorless. I found that surprising with all the toppings on my Guacamole burger which is usually quite tasty. My date's burgers were charred black and tiny - something akin to a fast food burger and certainly not up too what I would expect from a so-called gourmet burger chain! I will NOT visit this location again.

03/12/2010, Friday, lunch I tried their new Prime Chophouse Burger for $5.99. Of course, it came with bottomless steak fries too. First of all, it's a great deal. Secondly, I was shocked by the size of that burger when it showed up at my table. It was a regular sized burger, not water down, no shrinkage. It came with, of course, beef patty, provolone cheese, horseradish sauté mushrooms, some "special" sauce and string onions. It's a great combination. I specially liked a little tangy kick from horseradish sauté mushrooms. Plus that "special" sauce and your mouth watering, definitely, you have to ask for more napkins. I would get it again even at its regular price. 4 stars. Bottomless steak fries. They were way too salty for me, even I liked their seasoning. If you are watching your sodium intake, order them with no salt and seasoning. Their special seasoning is on the table, add it yourself. Another problem I had with their fries. Some were not quite cooked through. But since they are bottomless, you can always order more. It's better to order more right after receiving your order. Those fries might take a while. 2 stars Service, average. Nothing special to brag about or talk about. Everyone was very friendly. 3 stars.

Completely unremarkable. I like my burgers rare and I hoped since Red Robin specializes in burgers they would be able to accommodate my tastes.... Wrong! That disappointment aside, the Swiss Cheeseburger I ordered was even overcooked passed the "medium" they *would* cook it to, and it was dry and flavorless. The fries, while plentiful, were bland as well. I liked the atmosphere of the place, but the food is way too bland and generic for my tastes... Typical burger chain that I will not be returning to. Oh yeah, the service was rotten too. Blah!

it takes forever fo your server to come - long time to bring your drinks and food, but they're quick to bring your check when you haven't even thought about any dessert yet - but you know, their dessert choices suck anyway - stay away from this Red Robin -

Hello, my name is Rebecca, and I like chain restaurants. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the small, mom and pop, this is the only location places. Those will always be my favorite. But there's something nice about a good chain. And since Red Robin is the favorite of my two teenage sisters, and I had never been there, and I wanted to take the younger of the two to dinner last night, that's where we went. The first thing I noticed was that even though the waiting area was PACKED, there was only about a 10 minute wait. They had 3 or 4 people doing nothing but hosting, and they were doing a really good job of managing the crowd. This immediately made me worry that we were going to be rushed once seated, but we weren't. I love a good burger, and I hate when a menu has too many things that look good because I'm a non-decision-maker. So I picked two and asked the waiter which was better, and went with the Guacamole Bacon burger. My sister had what she always has - a turkey burger, plain. Hey, she knows what she likes. My burger was quite tasty. I would have liked a little more guac, and had I realized there was mayo I would have asked to leave that off. But it was a good burger. The peach tea was a little funny tasting, but not bad either. The one thing I did like was even though the fries are bottomless, they don't start you out with ten tons of them like a lot of places do. That's good for me, because if they're there, I'll eat them. Our server was so-so, but drink refills came, and we were asked more than once if we wanted more fries. The tables for 2 are a little closer together than I'd like, but it didn't feel sardined in like in some other places. All in all, for a chain burger place Red Robin does its job. I'd go back, but probably only if my sisters/family/someone else wanted me to.

Love this place. the burgers are amazing . Last month I went there with my family and got a cheeseburger and it was perfect. Plus it was hard to get a spot sense it was packed, and to me that's a good sign. Best part was milk shake. It was nice and smooth and actually tasted like vanilla. So if your looking for a good burger joint this is the place to go.

I took my boys here for their 8th birthday yesterday. The service was amazing. the food (as always) was very good. They are always very accommodating if something is not the way you like it, they fix it and are always happy to do so.

My friend and I went there to get food to go. We went to the bar and sat down to place our order. There were two bar tenders. We sat there for 7 minutes, then got our own menus. We then sat there another 10-15 minutes before we left. No one acknowledged us or anything. We were sitting there for about 20 minutes without anyone coming to help us. We could not have been missed because there were two people sitting right next to us that got their order taken and drinks served to them. THIS WAS THE WORST SERVICE EVER!

If you can get Kevin as your server - do so. Very friendly, appropriately attentive, the works! Food-wise Red Robin never misses to me. The food is consistently good.

They got an extra star today because of "Chris" the waiter, who was the only waiter who ever *offered* me another basket of bottomless steak fries. I took a star off for all the other times I have been here where the waiters ignored me when I was finished, because they thought I would ask for more fries (well, the menu says they are bottomless!). One time I even *asked* for some more fries to see what would happen, and I never saw that waiter again. Nevertheless, today Chris was fantastic and made up for his predecessors' blemishes by being extra courteous and quick with drink refills. Why do I keep coming back here? You can make any of their burgers vegetarian, and the fries are to die for. We went back last night. Another server to try and get is Dan. He is very attentive and your drinks and fry refills are taken care of. He has a good memory and remembered us from last time we were there.

Came here for some drinks. Bartender was horrible. He would just swing by, slap the drinks on the table, and walk away without a word. Such a rude waiter ruined it for me. Also, they had bottomless steak fries. The crab seasoning with it was awesome. But when I asked for a refill, they said the bottomless fries were only if you had it with a burger, which made me sad. But when I kept insisting that I hadn' t known, they gave me an extra basket. The actual waiter wasn't too bad. But the bartender was a meeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaan.

I live really close to this Red Robin, so I've been plenty of times. I cant really say that the it's consistent though. It's a hit or miss sometimes with the food and the service. Sometimes, the burger isnt cook the way it 's supposed to...(like they forget to add any flavor to teh mushroom burger) other times, it's great and so is the service. Depends on your luck.

This place is very strange. They've got all kinds of crap to appeal to little kids (balloons, arcade games) and yet they serve liquor. Is it just me, or is downing margaritas while you're out for dinner with the kids a bad idea? Jeesh... Anyway. I used to like Red Robin just fine until they REALLY let me down on a recent visit. I asked for a Gardenburger (I'm vegetarian) and the waiter told me they were out of them because they were changing suppliers (or something like that.) Okay -- that sort of thing happens from time to time. So, I ordered nachos with no meat. The waiter takes my order and goes on his way. When my nachos arrive, there's no salsa! Can't have nachos without salsa, right? So I ask for some. And he tells me they don't have salsa because of the "tomato thing". They make their own salsa, dontcha know. 'Scuse me? How about just keeping a jug of Old El Paso in the kitchen to serve with the nachos until the fresh tomatoes are safe again? Or...if that's not possible (and why wouldn't it be?), how about TELLING THE CUSTOMER you don't have salsa BEFORE slapping a plateful of salsa-less "nachos" in front of her?? They lost a star and a half for that.

This place reminded me of TGI Friday's except the former had more stuff on the walls and more buttons on the waiters' shirts. Drinks from the bar were well-priced (under 4 bucks for a short glass of rum and coke). It got loud at dinner time. Partly due to me. Towards the end, I was raising my voice to speak, and straining my ears to hear my meal partner. Service staff were very quick to refill my water, bring us food and bus the table. Food was decent. My eyes and ears were constantly adjusting to the details on the menu, the walls, and a human-sized bird wearing yellow spandex. I think it sensed our "stay away" vibes, though. Closes at 10 pm, except for Fridays and Saturdays when it closes at 11 pm. Located next to the Best Buy at Fair Lakes Shopping Center.

The food is good. I really enjoyed my burger, but I wish that I had gotten more fries in my basket to begin with. I know about the bottomless fries but felt ripped off from the beginning. Overall good experience.

Get the "Royal Red Robin": Beef, Bacon, Fried Egg. Three things have to die for you to enjoy your burger...but, boy, it sure is tasty! Get a side of ranch, and thank me later.

I've been to this Red Robin several times and am always disappointed. The servers always seem to hate their jobs and the management isn't any better. The last time I was there was in May 2012 for my mother's birthday. She is on oxygen so you think they would put us close to the door so she doesn't have to walk across the restaurant, but no, they didn't. We had to walk across the restaurant, when clearly there was service closer to the door because other people were sitting there. The service was the worst I've ever had, to the point where I didn't even want to tip (I'm a 20-25% tipper no matter where I go). I complained to their corporate office, who then sent me an automatic e-mail saying someone from that restaurant would get back to me within 48 hours. Did that happen? Absolutely not. It took over a week to get back to me at which point the manager said, "We've been busy". Unreal. He then said that he hopes we would give them another chance and he would be sending us something in the mail. I don't know why I actually thought something would be coming, but I did, and surprise, nothing ever came. Terrible, terrible customer service. I will never go back. I would rather drive 10 minutes down the road to the Chantilly Red Robin before I visit this one again.

I've been to this location multiple times and it has never disappointed me and unfortunately I get disappointed quickly. I love that they serve their food on plates, unlike the Chantilly location that serves the food in baskets. We have always had a great server who asked us if we had been there before and reminds us of their bottomless fries. Their fries are great. I love being able to get any burger swapped out with a Boca burger. They have never messed up an order and the food is always served hot. I couldn't give 5 stars to the Chantilly location. It's really night and day between the two locations. Good times for a casual chain restaurant.

What can I say about Red Robin: Well when I lived out in the burbs years and years ago (late 1990's) I used to spend a lot of time at this Red Robin. In fact so much time that I would walk in the door after work and by the time I got to the bar my Cosmo was waiting for me. How is that for service! Back then I would have giving them a 5 star rating. Now I would say 3.5 stars I stopped eating what I would call fast food about 5 years ago until recently when the doctors said to me you need to gain some weight! I was like are you insane but heck how many people have their Doctor's tell them to eat! He said you need to gain some weight try some putting some fast food into your diet and I was like OK. So trying to do what the doctors told me I needed to do, I was thinking about some of the old types of food I used to eat and well the first thing that popped into my head was a guacamole burger from Red Robin. So that was it I couldn't stop thinking about it after that. So I placed a call to the Fortress of Solitude to see if he wanted to join me for some junk food! He was all over it especially since I said it was my treat! Gotta love a guy who is honest and tells you that it is cool that you are paying for dinner and he doesn't have to. I was like I invited you and well I am the one craving it! So off I went to the burbs! Good thing I go out to the burbs about once a year otherwise I might have forgotten how to get out there. (Thanks to all my friends who live in the burbs) Side note Fair Oaks is not what I remember from the late 1990's - OMG has it changed. So we meet up at Red Robin early as I don't want to have to deal with all the kids. Well let me tell you 5:30pm is too late, don't parents work till 6pm anymore? So we get to the hostess stand and I ask to sit in the bar thinking parents won't sit there as it is a smoking section. WRONG!!!! The whole place is none smoking. GOD HELP those of us that don't want to be around kids. So I get over my irrational thoughts about kids and dining out. (Note to self: remember that places like this are designed to be kid friendly) So we get seated and Ryan our waiter comes up to take our order. Fortress orders a Peppercorn Burger medium with a Coors Light and I order a guacamole burger done medium well with no salt on my fries with a corona and a lime. We get our beers and Ryan forgets to bring me a lime for my corona. When he comes back with the lime he also has our burgers with him. This was a good thing to be honest as we both were hungry. Our burgers are cooked just the way we asked and I have to say it was just the way I remembered it. Damn it was good can I tell you and for the price it was just about right $27.36 with tax for 2 beers and 2 burgers. Well done Red Robin and now that I have gained the weight the doctor's want I won't be seeing you anymore that is unless I get a craving for a guacamole burger and feel like a drive to the burbs. Date Dined: 6/3/07

Good place for a large variety of burgers! For the price, however, id expect a smidge better, otherwise it would get 4 stars. I had the Pot roast burger. The Ciabatta roll it came on was not that great. Next time, id order more meat w/o the roll. For the variety of burgers, and the service however, it is definitely 5 stars! Its a good place for a burger and a beer.... especially if you like the greasy burgers... thats what my friend had. She said she would get it again but without the mayo. I had a bite, id agree. For a burger that isnt thick (1"+) and red in the center the way i normally like em, it was damn good... It reminded me somewhat of a chilis kinda place.... only for burgers instead of tex-mex.

RED ROBIN CAN KILL YOU. OK, let me explain. February 22nd 2006, about 7pm; I lived right across the street from Red Robin, and was too tired to cook, so I ordered take out. I got a chili burger and french onion soup. I went and picked it up, on my way back there was a red light. I sat for a minute and waited for it to change. It changed. My life changed. I was t-boned by a crazy honda accord running a red light and next thing I know I wake up in an ambulance. I'm looking up and they paramedics tell me what happened. I ask if I'm dead. They say no. I ask if i'm paralyzed, they said no. I asked again, about 20 more times. They get annoyed. I end up in the hospital for about a week with a broken bone in my neck. I did not eat anything in the hospital, because a using a bedpan was not an option. I watched the winter olympics on a lot of morphine. So, in short, this Red Robin can kill you, although not the food, just the roads leading to it. As for the food, it's a chain, do I really need to review this? It is frozen crap, deep fried. You'd do better eating at Five Guys. It's safer.
