Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Blood Pressure at Pizza Hut

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. Most pizzas at Pizza Hut are high in sodium and hence you must stick to one or max. two slices of any regular size pizza to limit your sodium intake. High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. Wait time for pizza was listed in my email confirmation 1hr 20 mins, that being said when the 1 hr 50 min mark came up I called the store. Come to find out there was a problem with the card I used to pay so they just cancelled the order and did not notify me. At this point my family is starving so when the pizza rep offered to try again I said yes and provided a different card. The rep was polite however gave me a bunch of random excuses, I'd much rather have received a discount or something like that...lets just say it was a weird experience. Not ordering from here again, 2nd attempt pizza was 15 mins later than proposed and cold...I tried to get through 1 slice and just so so.

Great last minute service. My catered canceled on me and I was able to call them and they put together a meal for 20 people in less than 30 minutes. This really helped me save face. Great job - thank you Alfredo & Eddy.

This Pizza Hut is the worst. We ordered Pizza hut this weekend after working outside all day, and I was just not in the mood to deal with their incompetence. I should have known better because I don't think I've ever had a good experience at this location. We ordered the pasta that came with breadsticks. They did not deliver the breadsticks so we called back and the guy on the phone argued with us that there were no breadsticks on the order, despite the fact that the order was up on my computer screen and clearly said we were supposed to get them. He was looking in the wrong place and finally saw it. We told them to go ahead and deliver them to us because we did not really want a credit, which would mean we have to order from there again! Nearly an hour later, the breadsticks still did not come. We called back and they guys told us that he gave us a credit. What! This is not what we said. Anyway, they finally delivered them another 45 minutes later. We were obviously done with our food at that point so I threw them in the fridge and will likely not eat them, but I FINALLY got what I paid for. I don't think this place will ever learn. They always forget something on our orders (even though we rarely order from there), and the service is terrible.

Expensive for such a mediocre pizza. Pay for extra cheese but you don't get it. Mushrooms are little bits of stalks. Pepperoni is handed out like communion wafers. Where in Fairfax is there a good pizza ?

The stuffed pizza was not very good and the breadsticks are very dry

Pizza Hut is Pizza Hut. You know what you're going to get, because you've had the same thing at every other location. No problems with this one. And when my brother comes to clean my apartment, we get pizza. When my quasi/pseudo SO visits, we get pizza. When I am too lazy to go anywhere and have had too much Thai or Chinese delivery, I get pizza. Always arrives before the estimated time, and delivery people are pleasant.

This pizza hut is terrible. They always forget the sauses that I have to pay 50 cents each for so already they're taking money from me for products they don't provide me with, then the last 2 times that I ordered, I did so at around 5:15pm thinking that gives them 45 minutes but if it takes an hour 15, I won't be mad, however, they took over 2 and a half hours to deliver! It's beyond absurd! Never again, I guess I'll order papa johns from now on.

My last order took well over 2 hours to be delivered, the driver was very apologetic telling me that the restaurant lacks drivers. Today I ordered again and delivery estimate was +1.5 hours, again because lack of drivers. I guess this is my last order to this restaurant, maybe with less customers they can offer better delivery times to other customers

Every once in a while I get this strong craving for a stuffed crust pizza from 'The Hut'. And when that happens, I can't really say no. Luckily, I have never had a bad experience from this location as so many others seem to have. My orders have consistently been correct and relatively on time (~45mins for delivery). Today I placed an order online for pick-up. Probably for the first time ever; I always get delivery. However, the Pizza Hut website would not allow me to order delivery at 3:30 in the afternoon - even though their website says they deliver from 11am-11pm/12am daily. I didn't check this further until after I got home, otherwise I would have called in my order. A tad annoying, but oh well. My order was in the heater waiting for me when I arrived. The gentleman handling my order took the pizza out and opened it up for me to check it out, which I appreciated very much. Paid for my order and off I went as he told me to have a nice evening, be safe & stay warm (it had been snowing the past few days). Friendly service - kudos to him! A note: Always look online for coupon codes my yelping friends! Retailmenot usually hooks me up. A large 1-topping 3 cheese stuffed crust pizza is currently being advertised for $12. Thanks to my coupon code, I got a large 2-topping 3 cheese stuffed crust pizza for $10. More, for less? I'm a fan.

One word describes it.... Slop The "pizza" I just got was disgusting and the worst I ever had. I took about two to three bites before throwing it out. Plus, it was barely cut.

I typically don't get Pizza Hut but I had a craving and their commercial for the $10 box dinner called my name. DELICIOUS. Friendly service when I walked in, hot and ready, they even threw in an extra sauce for free. Very satisfied!

It started off with a harmless order, garlic hand tossed cheese pizza with light sauce (as i don't like drowning in tomatoes) and their new Hershey brownie dessert. Boy was i mistaken. I was quoted 30 minutes, now i understand times can vary based on the amount of order influx and the driver, but i waited near 40/45 minutes. I was OK with the wait as i craved pizza horribly. I tipped the driver (accidentally took his pen, for that i am sorry!) and went to my room to munch. As i picked up my first slice, it was near cold (barely even room temperature). I was only slightly okay with that as that meant less waiting time for it to cool and i didn't run risk of burning my mouth. What i was not okay with is that my pizza crust was tough, and chewy and caused cramps in my mouth from trying to eat this tough "dough". And to my surprise instead of "light" sauce, i was given NO sauce. This i was NOT okay with as the tomato sauce gives the pizza more flavor. I realized after my first bite, my entire order was wrong (minus the brownies, who could possibly mess up simple chocolate). i finished two more pieces as i was starving, already spent 21$ and needed to get something in my system. After i grudgingly finished my slices, i called the location itself. Quick pick up, no hold and i asked for the manager (who actually answered the phone). To me a manager needs to have a strong sense of customer service with good phone etiquette in case of cranky customers like myself. Instead of that, i was greeted with a man who could barely form 2 words without interjecting multiple "um"'s in between and stumbling over his words. A generic 5 minute phone call turned into 15 minutes as i struggled to listen and piece words together. Although he would not give me a refund on my money (i'm not surprised as it is the food industry), he did tell me that i would have a credit on my account with them (if i so choose to order online/phone app/call for which i did the phone app for the first order i thought a credit on my account would be spectacular). My boyfriend then woke up kinda in a grumpy mood as the pizza i ordered was not to his liking (as well as mine) and told me to order one (but this time customized for him). i go to the app and am about to check out but i see no credit. I call the location again only to get the manager (again) only to be put on hold for over 7 minutes (monday night cant be that busy you practically forget your client on the phone, no music nothing telling me i was still connected) and explain the circumstance to which he claims it should have been there. Now im not phone/computer retarded, i did not see a "credit to my account". I ordered a simple cheese stuffed crust chicken and pineapple pizza. it took 45 minutes (on the dot this time thank fully). In short, i will never recommend any pizza hut to my friends/family/co workers or even a passing stranger. horrible food, poor customer service and ridiculous times for a store that is less than a mile away.

Took over 1.5 hours for delivery and pizza showed up almost cold....called manager to get an explanation....he stated they decided to handle carry out orders first and that delivery was not a priority. He offered a 1 discount. Will never order from here again

The short version: - Long wait times - Only two delivery drivers for the area - Incorrect order - COLD pizza - Flip-flopping from the manager _________________________ The long version: Let me just start off by saying I gave this place several chances. Several. I placed an online pre-order at 6:30 for a 7:30 pizza so my husband and I could enjoy dinner when he got home from work. When I checked the clock wondering where our pizza was, it was already 7:50, twenty minutes late. I called the store to ask where our food was. We were told by one of the employees that our food would be there very shortly, so we hung up and waited. About five minutes later, the delivery driver got here with our pizzas. We were pretty irate, but we were more hungry than anything else. So we sat down, opened the box of pizza, and went to eat dinner. I immediately noticed one of my pizzas was missing the spinach. Oh well, dinner rush. Stuff happens, right? Then I bit into the pizza. Cold. Not even lukewarm, cold. I was livid. See, I had already given this place a few chances before, but it doesn't really help their case that last time their pizza was late, it was TWO HOURS late. Our "I'm sorry" pizza came an hour and a half after speaking with the manager. So I called the store back again. They offered a $15 store credit. I informed the employee that I didn't plan on ordering from the Pizza Hut again so store credit wouldn't do me any good. The employee told me his manager said the best they could offer was a full refund in store credit. I asked to speak with the manager. He asked me what the problem was, so I informed him our pizza was late, cold, and was missing a topping. He told me one of the employees had called to say they were out of spinach. I got no such call and the only correspondence we had was the email confirmation saying our delivery was to arrive at 7:30. I requested a full refund, but he kept offering store credit. I insisted I receive a full refund. As I had paid in cash, I was fulling expecting my cash back. He put me on hold and later came back saying he could indeed refund me in cash, but I'd have to wait for one of his drivers to turn around. I told him that was fine and the phone call ended. 30 seconds later I got a phone call from him again, saying it would be easier to get a credit to my debit card. Okay, sounds perfectly reasonable. He tells me the amount to be refunded was $21.XX. I told him that, no, the full amount was $33.16 and I would be expecting the full refund. He tells me the $33.16 was for the pizza, the brownie, and the delivery fee. Yeah, I had about enough of it, so I replied that I expected a full refund of everything- the food, the delivery fee, and the tax. He sighed and told me the delivery driver would be back in 20 minutes or less, but he couldn't guarantee it because they only have two delivery drivers. Two delivery drivers? For this whole area? Are you kidding me? As of now, I'm waiting for the guy to come back with my cash and preheating the oven so I can at least halfway enjoy a pizza that got here 35 minutes late missing a topping that I was supposedly informed about. It's been about 20 minutes. I'll give them five more, but if the driver doesn't get back here with my cash, I fully plan on calling the manager again. EDIT: The managed called after 20 minutes to tell me a driver was on their way with my refund. They arrived after 40 more minutes. Never ordering from Pizza Hut again.

Three times we have given them chances. Three times this particular pizza hut has delivered with the wrong toppings and late. The second time they offered an "I'm sorry" pizza, and it arrived an hour late. You get no more chances, awful Pizza Hut.

While pizza hut's food as a whole is just fine for that pizza or wings fix, this location has been terrible when it comes to customer service both times I've ordered (one on a weeknight, one on a weekend). The online system doesn't give you an estimated delivery quote until after you order, so the first time I went there I was SHOCKED that it quoted a two hour delivery time. We called to change our order to carry-out as we were told it'd only be 25 minutes. This order ended up taking 50 minutes to be ready, so we stood in the lobby for an extra 25 minutes than originally quoted. When we asked about our food we were brushed off with a "we're very busy so please be patient." The second time we ordered delivery (thought the first issue was just due to an understaffing fluke), the wait time was even longer! We attempted for 30 minutes to call and change our order to pick-up but no one answered the phone. So, in order to ensure we weren't charged for the order since we didn't want to wait 2.5 hours, we drove over. There were 2 people in the whole place. The phone was ringing off the hook and I never once heard it stop or heard anyone pick it up. The manager was there and ignored us as we attempted to get his attention to issue our refund. The only positive is that, after 15 minutes, they didn't hesitate to cancel our order. Will never be going to this location again.

Incompetent fuckwads. Once every six months I crave a thin crust pizza from Pizza Hut. When done right, awesome. Unfortunately, 75% of the time you order delivery from Pizza Hut, it comes late, cold, and stale. This was one of those times. Placed on hold for 7 minutes, told the delivery time would be 30-45 minutes, at the hour mark I called again (on hold, again, for 7 minutes), pizza arrived cold and stale at the 1 hour 29 minute mark, called to ask for a refund, placed on hold for 6 minutes, transferred to 3 different people over a 23 minute period, refund never showed on my bank statement. Ugh. Never again.

I ordered a large pizza for delivery this Sunday night at 9:50. The store's website says that they are open until 11:00 p.m. The pizza arrived 10 minutes late (not a big deal). The box was not shut properly, sort of squished down. That led me to look at the pie before paying. Several pizza slices had stacked on top of other like the box had been shaken. And, the pizza was completely cold. I refused the pizza and immediately called the store manager. He said he would "credit me next time." I asked if he could have another pizza delivered right away. He first said no, "everything is put away, we're closing." I responded, "so you're not open until 11:00, you close at 10:35?" Manager said "well, I can get a pizza out to you I guess." I decided the less than enthusiastic response would likely result in another bad pie and said thanks but no thanks. Seems like just terrible service all the way around.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
