This is the closest BFG to us and each time we come, it is always a pleasant experience. Their food is always delicious. The family loves the bangbang shrimp and the mussels. If you are allergic to shrimp they can alter it and do a bangbang chicken. Love their fish tacos. Dad loves the porkchops. Great service, great food!

Everytime I eat Bang Bang I sing "BANG BANG into the room....."( youtube.com/watch?v=0HDd… ) OK maybe I don't this song out loud while eating but my mind and body are doing that. It is an invention of the century, I say. Anyone disagrees? We come to Bonefish G just for B B (and everything else is a bonus). We usually come here for dinners and I get Kobe and wife gets something fishy. Food is always great. Service is good and a decent ambiance. My wife just doesn't like the rotating door and always uses the side door (had to mention it :))

It astounds me that these guys pride themselves on being the "Fresh Fish Experts" when they're not sure how to properly cook a fish, and the freshness of it is highly suspect (unless maybe they meant it in the 'Prince of Bel-Air' sense). Case 1: Arctic Char A pink fish, similar to salmon. Like its relative, it should be flaky, moist, and delicious. Bonus points if you crisp the skin on top. Bonefish, as its name suggests, chooses to grill the char. I don't hate this on principle, but I do have a problem when it's so dry and overly cooked that I'm not sure if they were actually trying to make Arctic char jerky, or possibly a leather belt? I shouldn't need a saw to eat a fish - Shut it down. Case 2: Ahi Tuna Steak We asked for it rare, which is of course the only way to eat ahi tuna. Instead, it comes out looking like a well done pork chop, so we sent it back. The manager comes to the table with the next one, apologizes, and asks for us to cut it open to see if it is acceptable. Yes, it's rare, but has a pale pink / beige hue which only tells you one thing. It must be Idina Menzel in the kitchen because this thing was FROZEN!! It then became obvious why they overcooked the first one - to mask that familiar freezer taste we've all grown to know and despise. Bang bang shrimp was fine, mostly because it's all sauce and breading. The service was great and the staff was excellent, but that doesn't excuse being subpar at your self-proclaimed expertise. They sent out a complimentary plate of fried donuts at the end, which was an appreciated gesture (though they must have still been going for rare - these guys were pretty gooey). The next time you're in suburbia and have a hankering for mediocre seafood, just remember there are plenty of other mediocre chain restaurants that can do a better job of meeting your needs. Tonight I'm pouring a little out for the poor fish who lost their lives. You deserved better.

This is by far one of better chain restaurant, offering equal or better quality seafood to M&S at a much more competitive price.

First of all, the bread with olive oil here...is most definitely my favorite. I can't stop eating that. The atmosphere in this restaurant is very chill and calming. I had pretty good service as well. I ordered tilapia with the seasonal side of butternut squash and I loved it. My boyfriend got the mango fish tacos which he said were a little too sweet, however over all pretty good. If you're not a fan of seafood or especially fish, I do not suggest for you to go here. I like fish and seafood, however, I would not come here very often haha.

Came here on a Friday night, group of six. We were taken cared of by Sarah who was so patient, pleasant and accommodating (we had so many questions and requests, poor thing!). Ordered steak, Cilantro Lime Salad, Pecan Crusted Trout and everything was exceptional including the bread for starters. Wine, beer and cocktails were reasonably priced. Will definitely be back on our next visit. What made the experience special was really Sarah and her efficient and friendly service -thank you Sarah!

Simply put, repeatedly poor service and staff that doesn't live up to promises... A little while back one of my family members wanted to go to Bonefish Grill for her birthday celebration. I called ahead to have this noted on the reservation and asked that they bring a special dessert to the table at the end of the meal. I even called back the day of the reservation (just a few hours before our arrival) to confirm they had this noted in their system as I wanted it to be a surprise. They assured me again it would happen. What did they do the night of the meal? NOTHING. We waited and waited....but NOTHING happened. This is a simple request on the level of Restaurant 101...ANY dining establishment should be able to handle bringing a birthday surprise to the table. The next day we called to let the manager know his staff fell down on their promises and couldn't even deliver on something this easy. He apologized and wanted the opportunity to make it right. Well this past week we went back to Bonefish to give him that opportunity. We called ahead one hour before our arrival to make the reservation, and also to remind them of their failure the previous visit. We asked for a "belated" birthday surprise this time. Again, we were ASSURED they would bring something over to the table to make it right to us. And what did they do again? That's right...NOTHING. Two times in a row they promised to do something special and have it "noted on the reservation" and two times in a row they couldn't even get that right. Unacceptable. I could mention specific names in this review since I have them, but clearly this falls on the shoulders of not just the host staff, but also the management and training staff. If it was just a review about the food, I'd probably give them 3 stars. The meals are nothing special...and every dish I've tried has been doused in too much seasoning and sauce. (My recent day boat scallops were overcooked and rubbery and doused in heavy sauces.) Our wait staff has been pretty good, but when the rest of staff can't deliver on making an evening special...or simply keeping their promises and meeting the expectations they themselves set...they only earn a 1 star. This is not a place worth spending money at, especially considering their prices. As there are plenty of other places with better food and much better service, I and my family will never be back to Bonefish.

The hours for today Sunday are posted in the website as 10am - 9pm, I called at 8:21pm at your Centreville location to place a small order to pick up and the young person that pick up the phone told me that the kitchen was close, and it was to late for me to place and order. In this case you need to change the hours to 10am- 8pm, so your costumers will know that we need to choose another Restaurant at that time. Bad Costumer Service!

Their food is so salty that I keep needing to drink water after eating here. Super crowded and the tables are way too close to each other unless you sit at a booth. I kept bumping into the lady sitting at the table next to me. The servers struggled to get between tables. I would give another try but probably during a less busy hour.

And tonight was reason #99 as to why Bonefish is my favorite restaurant! I met one of my friends for Lobster Tuesday and we decided to sit at a table in the bar. The bartender Tommy took care of us and was super friendly and on top of things. He made sure our drinks weren't empty and did it with a smile. We both had their lobster sliders and fries which were on special because it was Lobster Tuesday and they were delish! I ordered a meal to go for my husband and as we were waiting for it, someone else brought our checks out. We hadn't asked for our checks, so we jokingly gave him a hard time and told him that he was kicking us out, but he assured that he wasn't, and we believed him :) Well a few minutes later he came back over and introduced himself as Simon the assistant manager and gave us each his business card and on the back it said we got a free bang bang shrimp. We were super excited because their bang bang shrimp is amazing and we thought it was super thoughtful of him to do that. We got my to-go bag, but hung around for a while longer to finish our drinks and try and let the rain pass. As we were sitting, I peeked into the bag and realized they didn't put any bread and pesto in there, which I knew my hubby would be super disappointed about. So I flagged a server, Andrew, and asked for some bread and pesto to-go and he said he'd get it for me. He came back over and said it was in the oven and he'd bring it out as soon as it was done. We only waited a few minutes and he brought it out with a smile on his face. I absolutely love Bonefish and am always pleased with the food and drinks there, but today I was especially impressed by the awesome service I received. Keep it up!

Wait, hang on, I forgot to share something! My server, Jake is one of the most tentative, handsome, good looking men I've ever encountered! (I think I covered everything he told me to say!) I'm going to stay just because of Jake!!

Another great meal & superior service from Jerry today at Bonefish! Always ask for Jerry, Callie or Simon to serve you. If they're there, you can't go wrong! The potstickers or bang bang shrimp are great apps. Their Burger or Fish & Chips are always executed perfect & I would recommend to everyone to try at least once! (we much prefer the calmer, quieter atmosphere here, over the crazy loud "Sweetwater" across the street, but both are great!)

I'm here because I received an email from the Bonefish President offering me a free "bar bite". It's a part of their new menu. I'm sure plenty others received the email as well as long as they are subscribers. So hey! It's Free, I'm totally in, even if I have to sit by myself at the bar for it. LOL! The bar area, of course, is a seat yourself area. Luckily, I found 1 lone chair. I ordered the BBQ Pork sliders, normally priced at $8. It only took about 10mins for my order to come out. It was served in traditional Asian wooden tower w/ steamed buns on 1 level and the pork w/ sauce in another level. The pork and flavor was perfect and so were the steamed buns. They reminded me of yeast rolls because I could take the sugar in it. My complaints are as follows though: 1) the pork had a lot of fat on it. I couldn't eat about 1/3rd of what was served to me. The chef could have taken the time to cut the fat off prior to serving. Also, the bartender wasn't big on service. She didn't check-in on me to see how the food tasted at all.

My main gripe about Bonefish: that there isn't one closer to the Tysons/Vienna area. Bonefish is one of my favorites - high quality food at reasonable prices. I've dined at Bonefish a lot - both the Centreville & Fairfax locations - and eaten in both the restaurants and the bar. I'll combine those experiences into one 4-star review. On my most recent visit, my husband and arrived around 9pm on a rainy, gloomy Saturday night. The restaurant was pretty busy, but there were a few tables available. We decided to grab a table at the bar. Since it was on the later side, we opted for small starters - a cup of crab and corn chowder for him, and a ceasar salad for me. He loves the chowder here - it's got a great, thick texture and is always stuffed with plenty of crabmeat. As for me, the ceasar is one of my favorites of any place I've been (and if you see my Yelp profile, you see I eat out a LOT). The garlic croutons are always freshly baked and the dressing isn't too tart but just the right amount of tangy. Bonus - they always serve it in a cold bowl - nice touch. Tonight, my husband decided to order the fish tacos and I had the mussels. The mussels are some of the best I've had anywhere - the broth is flavorful and delicious, seasoned with pepper and garlic (beware, there is a GOOD amount of garlic). It's on the sweet side, as it is sweetened with shallots, but that's just perfect for me since I do have a bit of a sweet tooth. I love how all of the mussels are opened and the portion is huge. My husband really enjoyed the fish tacos. Other dishes I've had and enjoyed - the tilapia, wolffish, bang bang shrimp (the latter I can only get when dining with others, as hubby is allergic to shrimp and I can't eat the entire portion on my own). No drinks for either of us tonight - had imbibed earlier elsewhere - but I have to say that I have partaken in their seasonal cocktails in the past and they are fabulous. Service is generally good. At times, it's uneven - sometimes you wait too long in between courses and others (like last night) the courses come out right on top of one another - but in general, it's pretty good. I can say I've never had a really bad or unfriendly server. All in all - a great place for a reasonable and quality meal out. If they were closer, I'd be there all the time.

My friends and I come here pretty often, they use to do $5 bang bang shrimp Wednesdays, it's gone up a little now. Overall this place is always good, I suggest the bang bang shrimp and calamari! Their seafood is always fresh and tasty. The bread with pesto dip is an added bonus, so good!

Great food, but don't go there until after 4-5p. That is unless you want to hear all the restaurant gossip from all the employees hanging around the bar. I was the only one at the bar but still had to wait for a beer and to order food. The lobster roll was good but mostly filled with salad. Take a sweater also...AC was set on high.

I reviewed another Bonefish Grill location and this one is just as good as the other. The service is always reliable and the servers are knowledgeable about the entrees/apps, etc. The food is fresh and cooked well. The only time I wasn't happy was when they overcooked my crab legs, besides that, I've not had any complaints at all. My favorites there are (in no particular order): bang bang shrimp, ahi tuna, pot stickers/dumplings, and corn chowder. My stand by cocktail here is the raspberry martini - they always make it perfectly, so I never feel the need to drink any other. I try to order a different entree each time I go. This last time I had the lobster po boy. The bread was a buttery, texas toast and the lobster salad was decent. I wouldn't say it was flavorful, as I thought it needed lemon. I'm also a mayo lover, so I suppose they could have added more, but it wasn't necessary. The po boy also came with their homemade chips - they were the perfect level of crispy, but were unseasoned. The appetizers we ordered definitely outshined the po boy. Not everyone likes this chain restaurant, but no matter which one I go to, they're always good to me and I'm a happy repeat customer!

The food is always consistent. The sea bass and ahi are wonderful and prepared to perfection. White sangria is excellent!! Best I have had from a chain restaurant. This location has great food and service but is missing some ambiance although the bar is pretty lively. Not sure what they can do about the lack of ambiance though :(

Hubby and I came here last night later in the evening around 9:30 no where near closing time but the service we got from our waitress sure felt like that. After living in Centreville for almost three years we finally made it to this BFG. The host was very friendly and helpful, so were the people that delievered our app and meal, all separate never our waitress. She took our order and brought the check with one refill one our drinks. Is because we got pop and water? She never brought us silverware had to ask the host. We got the bang bang shrimp flatbread app (very good) hubby got surf snd turf which he said was great, I got fettuccini pasta with veggies and shrimp. It was okay. So the two stars go to the delish app and we were able to sit outside since it was so nice. I'll think twice about coming back to this location which really disappointments me as I really like BFG.

An overall very average experience On the plus side it is a very modern crisp and clean looking place. Menu was extensive and had numerous good looking specials. Drink specials also looked very good. On the down side I thought the portions were small especially on the sides and expensive especially given the small portion. Our waitress was a bit un attentive Probably would not return but don't rule it out

Consistent great service haven't had a problem here thus far and I come here pretty frequently. I love the tilapia imperial and their corn chowder. I recently had a Caesar salad with grilled salmon and it was amazing the salmon was grilled perfectly. And remember not to fill up on the bread and pesto even though it's hard to resist. One thing I definitely do not recommend is their shrimp ceviche it's overpriced not filling and doesn't taste anything like ceviche.

I got a gift certificate for Bonefish Grill so we decided to head over on a Saturday night. It was fairly early (6 PM) but there weren't too many small children. We were able to snag one of the very large booths even though there were only 4 of us. The menu is seafood heavy (as you would imagine) and the portion sizes are realistic rather than oversized as so may places are. The 2 guys both got trout that they enjoyed, I had crab legs (which they advertise as 'lazy man's since they are pre-cracked) I was disappointed to only get about 1/3 of each of 4 legs - none of the juicy claw meat :( The biggest disappointment was with a pasta dish called Basil Fettuccine: the menu purported it to have a basil cream sauce, zucchini and yellow squash plus red peppers. It came with none of that . The sauce was very lemon-y, there were artichokes and asparagus mixed in and none of the vegetables that were originally listed on the menu (the noodles were also pad thai noodles, very lumped together.) We tried to ask the server about it, comparing what was on the menu to what was on the plate and we never got a good response. My daughter ended up ordering a burger which she did not care for either. At no time did a manager (or someone from the kitchen) come over to ask us what was wrong or explain why the pasta dish was made so much differently than the menu described it. That may actually have been the biggest disappointment of all - no one even acknowledging that THEY screwed up... *Note - Bonefish Grill is part of the Bloomin' Brands family and I'd pick Outback every time over Bonefish or Carrabba's

When in doubt I always enjoy Bonefish. Excellent food, super wait staff, & interested managers. Favorites include the bang bang shrimp always perfectly prepared; lamb chops; burgers to die for; fish & chips --- always a delight. Just tried the dim sum pork sliders --- tender & seasoned well. Will order again. I highly recommend Bonefish especially if you want to relax, talk, & never feel rushed (as you may in many other nearby restaurants). Enjoy!

I've been to this Bonefish several times and it is consistently delicious, no matter what I order. My all-time favorite is the swordfish and pumpkin ravioli, currently available as an "autumn special." And of course, who doesn't love the bang bang shrimp (that is, if you don't mind spicy). I opted for something different tonight, however. Tried the sauteed tilapia imperial, which is stuffed with shrimp, crab, and scallops. Oh my oh my. The tilapia was very tender and flaky, and all of the "stuffings" were equally tender and tasty. The whole dish was buttery but not over-the-top rich. Served with brandied carrots and my choice of potatoes au gratin, it was a very filling and wonderful meal. The carrots were cut up into very small pieces, however, which I found a bit strange. I was dining with my daughter and her 9 month old baby girl, and the carrots looked like they were more suited for Madison than me and my daughter. The service here was great. We switched from a booth to a table because we needed a high chair, and it was handled graciously. The hostess carried our drinks from one table to the other, and a high chair was already in place waiting for us. Reason for not giving that fifth star: tables are really crowded together, making it a bit of a maze when you want to walk around, go to the restroom, whatever. I felt bad for the servers because it looked tough to navigate through the maze when your hands are full with plates. And if you have a baby bag and are toting a baby, it can be treacherous to get through without coming close to knocking someone's drink off their table. It's a personal pet peeve of mine, but I hate when restaurants squeeze everyone in like that.

Really like Bonefish Grill and have always had good experiences going here. We went on a Friday night and although busy, we were immediately seated. The waiter listed out the specials and took our drink order. He came back with our drinks, bread and the oil sauce, and took our appetizer order. The appetizer, Singapore Calamari (really good) came to our table relatively quickly. We then put in our orders, Kobe Beef burger for myself and Fish Tacos for my boyfriend. We both really liked what we got and our waiter was very attentive, always refilling our glasses when needed and making sure everything was okay. We did not get it this time around but I recommend the Mussel Josephine for an appetizer to share or a meal. =) My only reason it does not get a 5 star is that I wish the selection was bigger. I have been here a few times and have gotten almost everything that would interest me.

Bonefish used to be a good bet, but I regret to say times have changed. Yes, the menu has some new items which is refreshing, however there is no longer any value nor bang for your buck. After many many years of loyalty, I do not know that I can consciously revisit this establishment. If you're gonna charge what you charge, you have to atleast match the service and quality of Sweetwater. At this price point, there are just better alternatives without searching too hard. I decided to go in for an early dinner to avoid the dinner crowd. What used to be a giant Cobb Salad with a healthy sized piece of salmon has now been replaced by a 1 1/2 cup of greens, some gorgonzola crumbs, 4 cherry tomatoes, some small diced cubes of avocado, some pieces of mango, and a dainty 4 oz piece of over cooked salmon. My eyes grew upon being served this appetizer sized plate that I was about to be gouged for upwards of $17. I thought there might have been two sizes and that I perhaps ordered a small. Nope, it is what it is and it is $17.35. For an extra $1.50, I could have gotten an 8 oz filet of salmon, a seasonal vegetable, and a side salad. I don't even understand the logic behind the aforementioned, just that I made a bad decision, was disappointed, have a bad taste in my mouth, and went home famished. My daughter didn't care for her meal so I quickly ordered her another meal, a kids mac n cheese. My disposition went from calm, to impatient, to frustrated, to angry when I was able to slowly finish my meal, have my plate taken away, and questioned as to whether I would be having dessert all the while watching a 7 year old try and patiently savor a couple slices of bread while a small bowl of macaroni could be brought out :20 later. I am accustomed to having the manager (David) or one of his assistants drop by to check in. I'm not one to complain, but I actually glanced around the entire meal looking for someone I could share my disappointment with, however I had no such luck. Had the service been average at best, it might have salvaged Bonefish as a future dining option. Unfortunately, that fell far short of minimal expectations as well. Alas, it is all too true, a good name is a result of many actions and lost by one.

Great friendly service. The Bang Bang Shrimp and crab cakes are great as always. My daughter had the fish strips (she loved them) and they let me substitute fries for steamed broccoli so that is always a plus in my book. I was not too impressed with the Baja fish taco but they may just be me. It is a bit expensive so keep that in mind. I was told if you sit in the bar the Bang Bang Shrimp are $5 instead of $10.

I went here on New Years Eve. We were seated immediately despite it being a popular night to dine out. They also let us choose whether we wanted to sit at a table or a booth which was nice. Our server was super nice. However, when she took our drink orders, she left then came back asking what we ordered again because she forgot. They were also out of the beer that my boyfriend had originally ordered. Someone else brought us our beer. They came out one at a time, and the guy bringing the first beer (which was what I ordered) placed it in front of my boyfriend without saying a word, assuming it was his. For an appetizer, we ordered the Wagyu Beef & Ginger Dumplings. They were delicious! For our main course we ordered the "Rockefeller Wolf Fish topped with sharp creamy spinach + lump crab and spaghetti squash" and a bowl of "Corn Chowder + Lump Crab with a hint of bacon". The wolf fish was delicious, however the side of spaghetti squash was flavorless. I also enjoyed the bowl of corn chowder. However, when ordering the soup, I asked the server if there was cheese in it (I don't eat cheese, not allergic, I just don't like it). Her response was that she didn't know and didn't offer to find out for me. I ordered it anyways, and I wasn't disappointed (though I still don't know whether it had cheese in it or not). Our server otherwise was great. She was very friendly and even offered to box up our 1 leftover dumpling (it was so good, I didn't want it to go to waste). I would probably come back here to try other items on their menu.

Love, Love, Love this place! The servers are great, the food is exceptional and the atmosphere is enjoyable - Always! We choose Bonefish for our anniversary because we know we know we will always get top notch service and food, always reliable! What I love is that all of their fish is fresh and there is more than one to choose from. I tend to enjoy picking from their daily menu and once again we didnt go wrong last night with the Roughy fish! The Bonefish rice is to die for, seriously I dont know how they make something so simple so decadent! We tried something seasonally new, the pumpkin creme brulee... first, my husband doesn't like pumpkin but after one bite he ate at least a third of it and loved it! It was to die for, seriously we already have planned to return next weekend just so we can have it again. I could go there just to have this as my meal. I was reluctant to speak so highly of it in case everyone orders it before me but I would gladly wait a few hours for them to make me a fresh one ;) Thanks for always making every one of our Bonefish meals and special occasions memorable!

I'd throw them 3.5 stars if I could ... Bonefish is an upscale chain owned by "Bloomin' Brands", the restaurant group that started with Outback Steakhouse. I'd never been to a Bonefish before trying them for the first time a couple of weeks back, and I was a bit surprised at their more upscale feel and ambiance. Definitely not what I expected from the parent group that owns Outback! Our server greeted us enthusiastically and when we told him this was our first visit to any Bonefish Grill, he gave us the rundown on why they were better to other local restaurants. (Seeming to go right after Sweetwater and its GAR family. NICE!) The bread that they start you with if fantastic, and my wife and I enjoyed the Saucy Shrimp & Scallops appetizer. For entrees, I got the artic char, while my wife got the Parmesan crusted rainbow trout. She liked hers, but i thought it was a bit greasy with the crust. On the converse, I liked my artic char, but she found it a tad on the fishy side for her. At the end, the owner asked us how our first experience was - we said we were pleased and he offered us to take an online survey which gave us a free order of Bang Bang Shrimp. So Wednesday night we decided to stop back in and take advantage of it, but found out that Wednesday the Bang Bang Shrimp is half-price, and the server suggested we keep the free coupon for a night when they are full price. Made sense to me - and I will be back for them because they are good. Really good. This time, the wife and I got salads with our entrees. Here was our biggest disappointment ... I paid $4+ to add on a summer tomato salad, which was jut three slices of tomato topped with a dash of basil, feta, and dressing. The dressing was awesome, but I felt a bit jipped paying $4+ for three slices of tomato (although very fresh tomato) and some feta. My wife fared worse - the side Caesar she added on was pathetic, yellow/greenish lettuce that looks like the leftovers of an iceburg head. She got a far prettier side Caesar at Joe's Crab Shack a few days later. She liked the tilapia imperial that she got, and I did enjoy the scallops special, although I thought the portion size was a bit slim for $22. And that's the rub of Bonefish I think ... it tries to be a casual fine dining restaurant, charging high prices for smaller portions. But the food quality, while solid, isn't quite worth the price. And don't even get me started on the beer selection - the best thing they had one tap was Fat Tire, and they were charging $15.50 for a large bottle of Southern Tier Chocolate Stout. (Really??) Bonefish is certainly on my wife and I's radar, but I think in the future we'll try the more casual fare and see if we get a better value for our food dollar.

I came in late on a Monday night, the bartender was friendly although the rest of the staff was winding down (no biggie). I had a special request regarding my drink and he made sure it was just perfect. This was cool, it was a long day and I was happy to have one of their classics but with a small twist. Regarding food, I had never ordered salmon "to order" until that night, but I'm glad I did. The kitchen did an excellent job preparing it medium rare, per my request. The food here is better than many other Bonefish restaurants I have been to. Pretty solid, I'm a fan... will have to try it on a busier night but in this case a "slow night" definitely doesn't mean a lack of attention to detail.

Bonefish Grille is one of our favorite restaurants. We went there to eat last night and the food was great as always. My wife got the Maryland Crab cake dinner, which is her rated number one crab cake dinner anywhere. It doesn't matter where else we go, these are her favorite crab cakes. I usually get the Tilapia Longfin because it is stuff with yummy goodness. We also tried the corn chowder lumped with crab meat, an excellent bowl of soup. Drinks were good as well, she got the Sangria while I tried the Sidecar + Mango, pretty good. Service at this restaurant is also good, the waitress and support staff kept checking in on our needs to make sure we were good. The only thing I can say is that the waitress forgot our appetizer among the free bread, soup, drinks, and ordering, but she made up for it with a free dessert at the end, which we ordered the crime brûlée, amazing! Great experience, great food, great service, one of our favorite spots!

Each time I've come, I've always had bad customer service. Either the waiter was rude or just didn't ever come back to check in on us. The only good thing that I can see about this place is the Bang Bang Shrimp but that isn't enough to keep me from coming back more often. I'll come if i'm in the area and we decide on it but other than that - I wont go out of my way to eat here where I think i can get better customer service and food elsewhere.

Haven't been here in years but heard they had a new menu so we decided to try it last week. Amazing! Loved the new menu and both of our meals were fantastic. We stopped by for drinks and appetizers this week and the appetizers were great but I tried two of the specialty martinis and couldn't drink either. All in all great place to eat, just skip any fancy drinks.

My family brought me here for my birthday, it was a Monday night so the place had like 3 tables taken. We waited at the front desk for about 5 mins and mind you waiters are walking by, looking at us and just kept going. We sat down and waited again and was greeted by an unpleasant, tired waiter that all she wanted was to go home. The food was alright no what we expected. We had the crab cake sandwich and I had the steak and crab cake and a kids meal. Oh mind you they did not have a kids cup for my 3 year old. When she got our drinks she brought the apple juice in a soda glass, when I asked for a kids cup she said there wasn't any! Worst birthday dinner ever we just paid and left! Horrible experience!!

Worst Bonefish experience ever... Party of 7, completely disappointed with everything, will not be going back.. Go to Carmello's in Downtown Manassas, if you want a fantastic dining experience, 10-15 mins away...

First off the server gave me the feeling he genuinely likes his job. By far excellent service. The bread w/ seasoned olive oil he brought out was delicious. I ordered the scallops and my GF order the Kobi burger. The scallops were perfectly cooked, with fresh season vegetables (zucchini). My GF got the Kobi burger and she didn't eat it all because it was red in the middle. The server asked if everything was ok, we said yeah. then he askes why she didn't finish it and we let him know she didn't like that it was not cooked fully. He gave us a free dessert. Creme brûlée which was Awesome, and he later credited the burger. Talk about excellent service!! This dude is probably making more than the managers cause of all the freaken TIPS.

We love this restaurant not because of the delicious food but the wait staff and the management is fabulous! We host our anual Client Appreciation Dinner here each year in December and they accommodate up to 200+ of my clients! We take the entire restaurant! Clients come year after year for the wonderful time they have!

Had an excellent meal here last night off of the specials menu. The haddock and the steamed cod were both excellent additions to the menu. The dishes looked and tasted great. Bonefish should consider adding both dishes to the standard menu. This establishment consistently puts out a quality product. We'll done.

BACKGROUND: I came here before for happy hour before and I was also satisfied with their appetizers. I have yet to come here and eat a full course but I went here again the other day for some seafood and ordered just several appetizers for dinner. FOOD: Let's just say their appetizers are decent size. I ordered the calamari and it is defenitly really good, the batter was seasoned just right. Their calamari dip was delicious; you have to get these as appetizers. Also had the mussels and oh man those were just great, the sauce was buttery and oh so tasty. The mussels were all large sized . The coconut covered shrimp was OK though I thought there was just too much coconut you can't even taste the shrimp. Overall it was saitsfying.

Bonefish Grill is kind of like the Olive Garden of seafood. I haven't been here in over 7 years and tonight I was reminded why. Everything was drenched in butter and mostly tasteless. I make better grilled shrimp at home, but we ventured out because someone gave us a gift card last year. The bang bang shrimp was just bad bad. The green beans were partially over cooked and partially under cooked. There are some many good seafood restaurants; don't waste your time here!

If you haven't guessed by the name, this is a place that specializes in fish. And their fish is excellent. I like mahi-mahi primarily because I like to say, "Mahi-mahi" but I also like the fish itself. They also serve grouper at this place. Sometimes you to a so-called seafood place, and they don't know how to cook fish. If it's not deep fried in batter, then it's overcooked and dry. Not here. This place cooks their fish perfectly. It's delicious. They also serve shellfish. The "Bang Bang Shrimp" seems to be the most popular item. It's shrimp but with a little spicy little kick. I once had the bang bang shrimp appetizer with the bang bang shrimp tacos. That was a good meal. The sad thing is that I can't eat shellfish anymore. They have a regular dining area where you can get a table, but to the right is the bar area where singles can meet up. It's much more informal. A friend of ours was getting married, and we talked to the manager about catering the wedding. Imagine your wedding with bang bang shrimp. Our friend eventually went with a different caterer, but this place is available to cater big events.

This restaurant seems to fly under a lot of people's radars ... why that is so is one of life's little mysteries. This has to be one of my FAV restaurants. you get quality seafood, comparable to Legal Seafoods, for a fraction of the price. I have never been disappointed here. The service is always on point .... the wait staff is always attentive and the manager popped up on our last visit just to make-sure-everything-was-ok-for-no-apparent-reason. Love it! he said that if we filled out the survey on our receipt than we would receive a free Bang Bang Shrimp on our next visit. I asked him, "how did he know????" LOL. The whole spread consisted of Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer, accompanied by their delicious bread, fresh from the oven :) I got the crab cakes as my entree w/ sauteed zucchinni and potatoes au gratin. The boyfriend got grilled chilean sea bass w/ lemon butter sauce, garlic mashed potates and zuchinni as well. it was his first time here ... he has, needless to say, fallen head over heels for the joint. AND to top it all off, Bonefish Grill has bleu cheese stuffed olives for their martinis. In my book, there's no other way to have a martini, so bonus points for that. A++

We've been here many times and the food is consistently good. Our visit today was a little different though because we ordered off the new Sunday Brunch menu. We started with Bloody Marys, which I found to have just the right amount of spiciness. It's a good size cocktail at a fair price (around $7). I enjoyed the shrimp and corn cake entree. It was a large portion and spiced well. So many places label something as "Cajun" and then don't season it accordingly. This had a nice, fiery kick to it and I would definitely order it again. My husband had the creme brulee French toast. It was good and he ate every bit of it. Now for the negatives: We had a reservation and, even though there were several empty tables, we were not seated until over 30 minutes past our reservation time. The hostesses working the front could use a course in customer service. Also, it was ridiculously cold in the restaurant. We'll continue eating here on occasion because we have had some very good experiences in the past. Hoping today was just an off day and not a new way of doing things.

The food here is a little pricey for what it is and it was extremely salty. I was thinking of Sweet Water Taverns pork chops when I ordered the Fontina chops. My mistake. The chops were cooked perfectly, but was so salty, it made it very difficult to eat. Whatever the wine sauce was that they drizzled on top was like eating pure salt. My boyfriend ordered the sirloin steak and crab cake dinner, which was pretty good. Both of our entrees came with a side of chick pea medley which was okay as well. I ordered a HypnotiQ martini which was just so-so, but came with a pretty glowing light inside. The only reason why I'm giving this place three stars is because of our appetizer. We ordered the bang bang shrimp and it is to die for. It is so flavorful and crispy! I would come here just to eat that as my main dish. All in all, this place is good for date nights or special occasions and can seat large parties. I don't think I'd ever come back here again unless I was craving the bang bang shrimp though.

We went here for my nephew's birthday dinner. As it was a Saturday we did have to wait, but that was to be expected. Once inside our waiter came right away to take our drink orders, I had a Bees Knees cocktail that was quite nice, distintly tasting of the honey in it. We of course ordered the bang bang shrimp and it did not disappoint. It was scrumptious, and all three orders were completely finished between the 6 of us. I had the wood grilled salmon with the pumpkin ravioli, a special for the night that was very worth it. Our waiter was very nice, and very knowledgable of what was available. Helped my nephew make his choices as well. It was a wonderful stress free night. They sang to my nephew and brought out a delicious and warm brownie ala mode, with a Scroling Happy Birthday written on the plate, nice touch indeed. I will be back, maybe for my birthday, I want that brownie.

Bonefish is my go-to place when we want to go out to dinner, but don't want to spend too much. We ALWAYS get the Bang Bang Shrimp. Without fail. It's sooo good. Order it. Most of the time on the receipt there is a survey you can do at home, and on your next visit you get a Bang Bang for free. (heehee) If you don't wanna do that, Wednesday it's only $5 We have had most of the things on the menu. The burgers are really good, The Mussels Josephine is light and flavorful, the seared Ahi Tuna is scrumptious, The Angler Steak is great. I highly recommend this place to everyone..

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Clifton Centreville area. They are accommodating and the food is always amazing. The sea bass and ahi tuna sashimi style are my favorites but the family likes bang bang shrimp night. The service is also great and they have a few really fun servers and a team environment. It does tend to be busy but they take reservations and have never played those reservation games where they pretend to be super busy when they are not.

Great Food, Great Happy Hour, Great Service, Great Price I am very skeptical about any restaurant that is part of a chain - especially one owned by Outback Steakhouse (OSI) but Bonefish Grill is on point. Great Food: I have been here tons of times and always try to get something different. The crab cakes are delicious, with hunks of crabmeat and a delicious and spicy remoulade sauce. The Bang Bang shrimp, a Bonefish staple, consists of tender shrimp lightly fried and then covered in a spicy asian sauce. They serve it on a bed of lettuce which I thought was just for presentation but it actually is a perfect crisp compliment to the spiciness of the shrimp. The fish options are great and I always lean towards the small salmon entree (which is anything but small). They give you four options for sauces to top the salmon and my favorite is the pan asian which is similar to a teriyaki sauce, sweet and savory. With any entree you get a choice of a side and I LOVE the potatoes au gratin - cheesy heaven but the veggie sides are also very good and have a special seasoning that helps to make me forget that I really wanted the au gratin potatoes (hehe). I have also ordered the filet here and it is delicious and cooked to perfection. They even have off the menu options for steak and seafood toppings like Oscar-style which I love especially on the filet so ask your server what other options they have (some are seasonal). Great Happy Hour: Bonefish has one of the best Happy Hours in town - 1/2 priced drinks, $5 mixed drinks, and $5 appetizers. Their non-happy hour drink prices are fairly reasonable and they have an extensive wine list which makes me very happy. They have AMAZING martinis and they will have seasonal drinks that are to die for (LOVE THE WHITE CRANBERRY COSMO). My favorite is the Ocean Trust Martini which is a citrusy refreshing cocktail (and some proceeds from the drink go to the Ocean Trust Foundation). Whenever I bring friends for the first time the bartenders are really good at making recommendations based on a person's individual taste Great Service: I have NEVER had a bad server EVER. They are always extremely attentive and friendly. They really know their menus and you can tell they take pride in the restaurant and the food they serve. Often I ask the servers to make recommendations so I can try new things and they are always helpful in making good recommendation and giving me a detailed review of each of the items and what they taste like. Great Price: They have several specials such as the $5 apps for happy hour and Wednesday's you can get Bang Bang Shrimp for $5 all day. The regular menu is a pretty good value too - the filet, which rivals many expensive steakhouses is around $20 and you get the seasonal vegetable and a side and can add a salad for like $3. The small salmon is about $13-14 (with the side and seasonal veggie). Overall good pricing for the quality. They also have some cheaper items like the Bang Bang Tacos and a Kobe Beef Cheeseburger that makes my heart sing.

It seems like almost everytime I try a "fancy" chain restaurant it lives up to my expectations of not being worth it. My experience at Bonefish this past April was no different. Our server got just about everything wrong. It almost put me into the camp of "servers should be required to write down orders". I'm only impressed by your memory if you get it right! Luckily the food itself was good. I had trout and my wife shrimp. The only thing though that makes it unique is the sauces they have, otherwise you could go anywhere else. It isn't like this is Iowa or Nebraska and seafood restaurants are scarce. Good think company expense budgets keep places like this in business.

This was my third visit (08-06-2007) to the Bonefish Grill in Centreville. My girlfriend and I were craving fish - so we headed over for dinner. The restaurant was not packed on a Monday evening - but just enough folks eating to make it feel nice. The hostess attempted to seat us in a booth - but we requested a table. Our waiter was attentive - he brought out our drinks promptly and took our order - Debbie had the Rainbow trout with a teriyake/wasabe glaze of some sort - and a side of steamed vegetables. I ordered the Bonefish Caesar (their name for a Caesar salad) and the grilled Arctic Char with a Mediterranean sauce - which I've never tried before (anywhere!). I got the garlic mashed potatoes as my side. As always, they brought out a small basket of bread and prepared a small plate of olive oil for dipping. The waiter placed a small dollop of a mixture that contained finely chopped olives, herbs, and a bit of cheese (I believe) and then poured olive oil over it. I added some freshly cracked black pepper to the mix and a dippin' we went! The mixture was so good - I joked to our waiter that I could eat the mixture straight! He replied that he thought it would be kind of salty - but asked if we would like a side of it. We said yes. He brought it out - I tasted it straight - it was salty - but very good! I added more of it to our olive oil and then mixed the rest into my Caesar salad when it arrived. We devoured the entire basket of bread. Then my salad was brought out - it was not the best Caesar I've ever had - but it was good. When our entrees arrived, they looked amazing, and smelled heavenly. Debbie gave me a taste of her Rainbow trout - it was so very yummy! The Arctic Char was also amazing and I gave Debbie a taste. I barely said anything during dinner as I was so enjoying the culinary pleasures of my food - all I could do was smile. Debbie was full and could not finish her trout - so I took on the responsibility of insuring such an orgasmic dish did not go to waste and I polished off the remaining portion. We were to full for dessert - so we paid our tab and scooted out. Very enjoyable!

Enjoyed the food. Highly recommend the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer. However, I was unimpressed with the hostesses upon entering. They were very cold, unwelcoming, and seemed like they had no idea how to do their job, which set off an initial negative vibe for the restaurant. The waitress and other staff were nice and offered good services. Hopefully the hostesses are put back in training. I'm aware that this shouldn't be a big deal, but first impressions really do matter. I suggest going to another location.

Ok, I love this place. I come here often and though they don't have an extensive seafood menu, they put Red Lobster to shame. This is the healthier version of seafood yet everything tastes amazing (just about). They always cook the fish perfectly and the food doesn't take forever to be brought out. Bang bang shrimp is half off on Wednesdays so this is my usual go-to spot. I love their house salad, ask to add avocado and mango if you like both and it just makes it that much better. Sometimes they charge you $1, sometimes they don't, just a heads up. If you make your way here, don't leave without getting the Chocolate Creme Brulee, its the best I've had anywhere.

I thought the yelp folk were on crack when I saw their rating for Bonefish. This chain might still have a restaurant in Orange Beach, AL and let me tell you, if I gave that place one star I would feeling like the Great Mr. Charity. It sucked! What a difference a new state and a decent chief make . Everything we had was really good. From the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizers (even if you're allergic to shellfish, I'd still recommend them... with a Benadryl chaser) to both of our entrees this place was kicking some awesome inland seafood buttocks. Our waiter was a trooper with my wife's meal indecision. He could recognize I was getting hungry and in no time flat he had turned what was beginning to feel like a "life decision" into my wife's order (Imperial Longfin). I can't say enough good things about this guy. He even recommended I "When Harry Met Sally" all the different sauces for my grilled grouper. So with all the sauces in little saucers on the side, I found the one I was going to take initially, wouldn't have been the sauce that I'd enjoyed the most. The chimichurri was the best for my dish. Kudos to a great waiter with phenomenal ESP. He is one that deserved every bit of the full tip %! (We even ordered 2 deserts to go, just to bump him up.) And speaking of "When Harry Met Sally" yes.. Yes.. YESS!! My wife REALLY loved their mango cocktail. She kept trying to get me to try hers after I had already tried it. "Yea, ok, I get it. You can have another round, honey." This is great place to have a date dinner. Prices are "good date" prices. The place isn't loud. The food was really good. But what put them over "I'm a fan" was the staff. Simply, the best.

I've been back to this Bonefish several times since my initial review and have never been disappointed. Its good to find a place you can hit regularly and get consistently excellent food and service. The wolf fish special, seared tuna appetizer, bang bang shrimp, bread, desserts, and service are a few of the great reasons to come back here again and again. And I must have been on some kind of a spending binge the first time I ate here. Either that or they've actually lowered their prices, which is what I thought the second or third time I went back. I've found that a perfectly satisfying dinner for two with drinks and dessert can easily run well under $100, depending on what you order. So three cheers for bonefish!

Well, when we think about a fish restaurant we think about healthy menu, right? I am vegan and my husband is not, I usually can find something to eat in almost every restaurant we go, but not in Bonefish is amazing as it can sound. So my rating is one star. This restaurant is behind others, even steak houses, people that eat meat and fish have friends or family members that don't eat, so in order to get together we need to choose a restaurant that can serve all. Now a days every restaurant should have at least one vegan plate. Look at sweet water, they have a really nice mushroom plate.

I read the other reviews first, which I shouldn't do because then I feel the need to respond to some of their points. When you enter, it's fairly dark in here, but I think that helps lend to intimacy. It's easy to ignore people that you can't see and it's usually crowded and noisy so you don't really feel like people are nosing in your business. If you want some nice quiet area though, there is some dining outside and weather permitting that is nice. The food is amazing. I like fish, I'm not a huge fish lover, but my girlfriend and my grandparents love fish and if you want fish this is THE place to go. The fish is always perfectly cooked and the portions are just right. I'm a fairly big guy, with a big appetite, and whenever they bring my food out I think, "that looks small", but I'm full when I'm done so they are doing it right and keeping me from overeating. I'm one of those people that was raised that you always clean our plate! If you order a fish or steak, choose one with a sauce, or add a sauce to your steak. The sauces are great and that's what elevates these dishes above their peers. Bang Bang Shrimp is a must, but the Ahi Tuna sashimi is my girlfriend's favorite, sometimes she gets it as an entree. Personally I like to get a steak & crab cake dinner. I suggest upgrading to a filet Mignon (extra $5 but SOO worth it) and getting the garlic Gorgonzola butter sauce. Every bite makes me moan it's so good. And I HAVE to mention the crab cakes. These are all lump crab, they have basically no filler and can't hold themselves together. I think they probably just pour it in a mold to give it a cake shape. So divine! With this combination, I think I'm spending about $30 but it's as good as meals I've paid more than twice that for the same thing.

Great place to grab a snack and a couple of cocktails. I recommend the Ahi tuna appetizer thingy. It comes in half or full orders, and was really quite delicious. I very much enjoyed it as I listened to my beautiful girlfriend ramble on about what an awesome team the Redskins are, and how my Broncos are shit. I mean, really? The Broncos have a way better chance of going all the way than the who's'its that she likes. Ugh! Seriously, though, did the Redskins even field a team last year? I mean, my Broncos didn't win any awards, but at least they are winners at heart... Still, she's a great gal, and if she likes 'em, well, I guess I like 'em...

I would love to give this place a higher rating because the food was pretty good but I can't. When I set a reservation I do not plan on waiting 20 minutes after my reservation time when I am there on time. My reservation was at 7pm and I was not seated until 7:20. The table we were seated at also was not good. It seemed to be a seat for two that they tried to make into a seat for four. They added slabs to the table(witch I dont mind) but they tables were not even. You either had to sit way to close to the the person next to you or your plate would be on a slant. Other than that lol it was a good time and good food.

While most of their menu items I would deem slightly overpriced, this restaurant makes up for it with Bang Wednesdays when their mouth-watering "Bang-Bang Shrimp" is only $5.00 all day long! Pair that with one of their four $5.00 drinks (my fave is the Mango Sidecar---DELICIOUS), and you've got an appetizing evening out for just $10 (per person)!! It might not seem like a lot of food, but the Bang-Bang shrimp portion is huge. I always order it as my meal instead of as an appetizer. If you don't think that would fill you up, Bonefish also gives each table complimentary fresh baked bread and pesto! I can't really attest to the rest of the food, as I'm a girl on a budget, I only go on Wednesdays for the Bang Bang shrimp, haha. My brother, however, is a big fan of their Kobe Burger and gets it with fries usually when we go. His plate is always clean. Most times when I go, the service is great. Generally, the wait staff are attentive and eager to please. There have been a couple of times when the service was not too great (no refills, waited forever for our meals, etc...). but that happens every now and then pretty much at any restaurant. I would say 95% of the time I am pleased with the quality of service. The atmosphere is nice. It always seems to be quite dimly lit when I go. I'm not sure if that's an all day thing, or if they do it after a certain time. There are a ton of tables, but they are decently spread out so that you don't feel like you're sitting in a stranger's lap. I would consider it for date night, family night, girl's night, happy hour, etc...quite the versatile establishment! ;)

Originally, we wanted to go to Sweetwater but they had their usual 30-40 minute wait. We decided give Bonefish a try, walked right in on a Saturday night at 6;15 and were seated right away. The menu was great and the kids menu actually has 2 things on it that are not fried, a plus. My boys ordered the grilled chicken which they both ate up. I ordered the longfin imperial, OMG this was really tasty, it wasn't too buttery another plus. My husband ordered the tacos, which he said were very good. The bread and pesto was also good and a good starter for my kids as they were hungry we'd been hiking in Skyline before dinner. The waiter was very attentive and friendly, he even complemented how cute and well behaved my boys were so that just increased his tip for another $5 :) the manager came by and asked if things were okay. I'd certainly go back but hopefully to one that's closer to home, in Falls Church.

Had a $50 gift certificate from the boss to use. It gets really crowded... glad we went earlier at about 5. Awesome drink specials, it's happy hour from open to 630! but they have several signature drinks for $5 all day. Definitely go for the drinks! Service was aattentive without being intrusive and the manager can be seen helping out on the floor too, so that's a plus! Had the bang bang shrimp. Spicy, crunchy, but a lilttle too much like battered shrimp topped with big mac sauce... Shared the stuffed lionfish? and the steamed lobster tails. The tails were well cooked and tasted fresh! the lionfish was stuffed with good crab lumps but a little overpowered by the creamy sauce. Overall, a good meal! Don't know if I'd have gone here without the gift certificate though.

Overall this place knocks it out of the park every time we go. The prices are so reasonable and the quality so high that it boggles the mind. We get the twin lobster tails for $27 and steaks for less than $20 and everything is delicious. The waitresses are all great, mostly high school or college girls which aint too bad on the eyes. All of the fish dishes are equally delicious and all clocking in at under 20 clams. The ambiance is nice and dark, almost steak house style with plenty of booths for privacy and a roomy din din. Check it out if you're looking for a great meal for a great price.

Went here for my wife's birthday dinner on a Saturday night. Even with a reservation, we still ended up waiting about 30 mins. Everybody in NoVA is addicted to their bang bang shrimp, so every weekend Bonefish is packed. Seriously, you couldn't even walk through the restaurant, hope they never have a fire... The food was on par with other BG experiences. Again I will emphasize the shrimp. Our waiter was kind of frantic (probably trying to turn over as many tables as possible to keep up with the traffic) he asked if we wanted desert and didn't wait for an answer, just dropped the check. Good food, prices, though I will probably stick to going to a different location.

Visited this location a few times. Food was always good, little pricey though. My all-time favourites are the Bang-Bang Shrimps, you can never go wrong with them (if you sign up for their newsletter, you usually get a coupon for a free portion of BBS for your birthday). Service could be a little more friendly, but still ok.

I prefer the Chantilly location over this one. The service here is "OK" but their food is horrible. I ordered my usual salmon with french green beans and rice - the rice was barely cooked and was super hard, my salmon was dry, and the green beans were soggy. I was very unimpressed.

The one star is for service and ambiance. The bang bang shrimp should be called rubbery bad bad shrimp. The fish tacos and au gratin potatoes were equally horrid. The bread was tasty. Sort of.

Dinner @ 730pm Ambiance Lightly dim lit dining room; comfortable noise level - no shouting to have decent conversation and tables spread out you can't eavesdrop on other diners (a good thing depending on the night you are having). Waistaff VERY attentive and professional. Bill Fairly priced for quality of food and tasteful plating. Apps $8-12; Burgers and bun requiring things ~ $10; Entrees $12-20; Desserts $6-10; Dinner for 3 (1 app, 2 spirits, 1 drink, 3 entrees, 1 dessert) ~ $70 +/- Cuisine I hate to use the word fusion b/c of my brief brush with Emeril Lagasse's restaurant training but this is sort of it. There are asian dishes made to suit American palates - but done tastefully. Alongside Italian and American inspired dishes and offerings. Tonight, we had: 1. Mussels - big bowl marinating in butter wine sauce with chiffonade of basil, large chunks fresh tomato, red onion and coursely chopped fresh garlic. Ciabatta bread for dipping. Good portion for 3 ppl 2. chicken and shrimp pad thai - special on menu, came with "tray" of condiments (hot chili oil, fish sauce, red pepper flakes); came out with jumbo shrimp and large pieces of chicken; noodles looked al dente (can i say that about asian noodles?!) not mushy. guest said it was good and comparable to thai diners. enough for leftovers 3. pork chop with mushroom prosciutto marsala sauce and haricot vert on the side - pork was a hair on the well side but easy enough to cut with knife without hurling it into next table's hair. Sauce was well executed and tasted like made to order - not gravy and thick like mucous. =) haricot vert were thin, CRUNCHY, and real (not fake green beans with stunted growth!) 4. Fish tacos - guest grumbled about lack of cabbage which i agree is true to a real fish taco despite our non california roots. came out as two alongside a serving of undressed greens and side of balsamic vinaigrette. Odd. 5. Bananas foster - whipped cream, bananas, cinnamon fried tortilla, generous sauce, and vanilla ice cream. big enough to share for 3 Summary we've been to the one on route 50 which appears to be more crowded than this one. this was full of patrons but no wait necessary for table. The service here was much better than over at route 50. There were at least 3 different people coming to our table to help the main guy - a sign of teamwork and good leadership/management. Overall - 4 stars.

The Bang Bang Shrimp were nice. Grilled Grouper w/ Mango Salsa was delicious. Had a good, pleasant server named Simon.

I've only been to this restaurant once, but was very impressed with their service. The food was okay, it's a typical Seafood/American restaurant with here and there mix of food from other countries. Their menu is very small, which is good and bad. The good is that each entree is made special but the bad is that you have very limited choices. They accidentally gave me the wrong order the time that I went, but noticed that it was wrong even before I noticed myself. The waiter quickly took it back to the kitchen to have it changed. After that, several managers came by my table to asked me if I was okay since my order was wrong and then brought out a soup of no extra charge. After the right order came out, the managers and waiter still continued to stop by to see if I was satisfied with what I had. I would definitely come back sometime in the future.

black cherry guava mojito - i can't ask for a better cocktail. i'm a patron silver SHOT kind of girl but this was just perfect. i want to go back just for this. i sound like an alcoholic, trust me... i'm not! imperial longfin - baked goodness... stuffed with shrimp, scallops, crab meat and lemon caper butter. the fish just melts in your mouth with no hesitation to have another bite. bang bang shrimp - everybody talks about this appetizer, even the waiter suggest it. in my opinion, it wasn't that great. a little too much sodium for my taste buds but you do get a lot of shrimp, looked more like a meal due to portion size. creme brulee - great dessert that wasn't too sweet. love it! vanilla ice cream - icy when you first bite into it and then it creams out in your mouth. only took a few spoon fulls because i was so full from dinner but i would have eaten the whole thing if i wasn't. one of the waiters had noticed that my bf had spilled some of his cocktail on the table, didn't even ask and had the manager bring another glass free of charge. the waiters and staff are so friendly. would love to go back.

The Bang Bang Shrimp was crispy and flavorful. I had the Imperial Longfin, and my friend ordered the Grilled Jumbo Sea Scallops & Shrimp. Both dishes came with good portion of vegetables and the food was well cooked. We were initially excited about the cocktails, but were disappointed after trying the Pomegranate Martini.

I've given up on Bonefish. I used to think the fish was OK as long as you remember to ask for their awful, overwhelming sauces to be omitted altogether or served on the side. As others have said: bread, salads and even vegetables are fine. But the last several times, the fish itself has been old and poorly prepared: cooked slowly and on a low heat which leaves it gray and mushy. It's too bad. Centreville really needs great seafood and this just ain't it. (By the way, the booths in the bar are a comfortable alternative to the dining room tables.) (On busy nights, you can watch the overflow crowd from Sweetwater crossing the parking lot as they reluctantly make this Bonefish branch their second choice for dinner.)

This place is pricey, or maybe I'm just cheap. Our server was very nice and helpful, I don't normally ask a lot of questions but I did with him and he was very patient. My friend and I both ordered the salmon, and when we couldn't decide what sauce to get, so he brought all three for us to try. The food was excellent. One of the side dishes I ordered had bacon in it, I don't eat pork so I was disappointed when it arrived and I couldn't eat it, I didn't think the menu said anything about it having bacon but maybe I'm mistaken. Will definitely be back for their happy hour or for a date night.

I have so many negative associations with chain restaurants that it is surprising to say the Bonefish has become one of my favorite places to eat. The quality of the food is surprising and consistency from location to location is very strong. The atmosphere is pleasant, the servers are all very professional and attentive and the food is fantastic, but the reason I keep coming back is the bread and the house salad. The bread is served with a teaspoon of pesto mixed in olive oil and I could devour the whole loaf if it weren't for the other people at my table. The house salad is a perfect portion of everything I like - lettuce, pine nuts, kalamata olives, tomatoes and hearts of palm all lightly tossed in a fantastic dressing. If I could just order my own loaf of bread and a house salad, I might never even get around to eating fish here!

If fish is your food, this is the right place. When you come here you feel that they have perfected the art of managing a restaurant. Excellent ambiance, food and service. I will keep going there till i try and each and every item on their menu.

Overpriced and average seafood. Not sure why people get dressed up to go to this place. I would say there was an appetizer that was good but again, very pricey.

Sometimes I dream about the bang bang shrimp! I love going out here. The food and drinks are so amazingly good. I used to be huge on their creative martinis, but lately I've been into white wines with seafood. A little on the pricy side, but I love the Russian River chardonnay with the salmon. I usually get a cup of the corn and crab chowder; it goes great with the bread if you save a piece! I've never had a problem with service here. I almost always come with a huge group and the servers take care of separating the checks with no complaints. (I'm in the industry, I know how big of a pain in the ass it can be!)

My husband isn't too crazy about the fish here. Me, I love the Bang Bang Shrimp. I'll just order that and a side of the potatoes au gratin (which are so good!). I tried the grilled shrimp and scallops, not my favorite dish. So I'll never ever get that again. I think the bang bang shrimp and potatoes is the only thing I'll really order from here. Don't get the Bananas Foster either, not very tasty in my opinion.

Overall, my experiences at Bonefish Grill have been good. However, the last time I went, it was a crowded Saturday night. The bang bang shrimp was RAW and undercooked. You should really look closely UNDER all that sauce. If the shrimp is clear and grey, it is still RAW! Though I used to get that dish, I was so grossed out I will never get it again. The pork tenderloin was also pink/raw, though I ordered it well done. Raw pork and shrimp are NEVER acceptable. Things I have ordered before: ahi tuna, fish and chips, cajun shrimp pasta, crab soup, potatoes au grautin are excellent.

First place I go after touching down at Dulles and last place I go before I leave. I love everything about this place. Very chill atmosphere, very friendly staff and the food is delicious! I'm from the Bay Area and I have yet to find anything close to Bonefish. Prices are extremely reasonable and the food is outstanding! I'm very weary when it comes to seafood, but so far everything I've eaten has been fresh. I have yet to try any of their desserts or 'specialty cocktails', but I'm sure they're great. Bottom line, this place is one of my favorites. Sucks that its on the other side of the country, but too much of a good thing is bad for you, right? Do not leave without having the King Crab Legs........... GO.. NOW!!! Some things I'd highly recommend.. Appetizers: -Bang Bang Shrimp: Basically fried shrimp tossed in some kind of spicy mayonnaise-like sauce. It's like a flavor explosion. -Crab Cake Appetizer: THESE are real crab cakes. Made with some super chunky crab and served with what I think is the Bang Bang shrimp sauce.. absolutely great! I've never had crab cakes like these before. -Ahi Tuna Sashimi: Makes you feel like you're in a Japanese restaurant...a REALLY good one that serves actual sushi grade fish. Entrees: -Pistachio Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout: At first I didn't think the pistachio and Parmesan would work, but it did! -King Crabs Legs: My absolute FAVORITE! Nothing like this in the Bay! -Surf & Turf: This was the special the first time I went. 10oz fillet with MD King Crab legs. I found the fillet to be a little dry, but the crabs legs made up for it -Grilled Ahi Tuna Pan Asian style: Very sushi-like. Great.... just great.

The food is great and service is many times above average. I would eat here everyday if that was possible. The only problem with this place is that it is crowded. Don't you dare go on a Friday/Saturday night without a reservation, it will take between one to two hours to get a table (No kidding!). However, if you do play your cards right and make a reservation the place is awesome. Healthy and delicious food, what more can you ask for? Plus, there is fair number of great wines available.

Good, affordable fine dining; this is what bonefish is all about. Their appetizers are just amazing (mussels are to die for) and their entrees (fish entrees in particular) are very fresh and delicious. I recommend Swordfish. It taste like steak, just in fish (if it makes any sense). They also have some desserts but they are, I have to say, mediocre in taste. But their atmorsphere and service are consistent and always good. Nice restaurant for any occasion.

We visited the Bonefish in Chantilly for my birthday. The atmosphere was nice - kind of casual and elegant at the same time. Everything on the menu sounded so tasty. The bread is awesome! I could just have that and cocktails. They have the usual EVOO for dipping with an extra kick of olive/garlic/pesto/red pepper flake paste. The Margatini was to die for! I had fire-cracker shrimp for an appetizer. This was great but fried and rich. I was full right then. My husband doesn't eat seafood so no help there. Then I had the pistachio crusted trout. The menu said "Saute" but it came out more "fried". I loved the food but I feel like I made the wrong choices. My husband was more than pleased with what ever meat he had. The bar looks great for happy hours. There are long tables for the kind of groups that grow throughout the night. Next time it will be me with bread and a bucket 'o mussels. Check it out - you won't be disappointed.

Simply wonderful! Every dining experience here has been such a treat. The atmosphere is pretty casual but still nice. Tonight we dined at the bar and was served by the most comical bartender. Our cocktails were scrumptious and they have a nice selection of wines, martinis and such. For appetizer we shared the PEI muscles which came in a heaping portion and was plenty for two. Oh so good. Among the best I've ever had. We opted for the caesar salad, which was good, but was very very dressed. Should order the dressing on the side. Our dinner was phenominal. We got the Tilapia Belle Aire. It was delishious tilapia with sundried tomatos, basil, goat cheese and artichoke hearts. Wow!! On the side was a yummy mix of corn niblets and ham.... so yummy and the most scrumptious scalloped potatos. I don't normally like scalloped potatos, but these were awesome! We didn't have room for dessert, but I can't wait to go back!!!

We don't eat here often but when we do it's always a treat. Their Florida cobb salad with jerk chicken, avocado, mango, blue cheese and pine nuts totally rocks! We brought my mom here for her birthday and they presented her with a small box of hand-made chocolates from Chocolate Fetish.

Very good place. Perfect for a date with great food and good wine. Bar is pretty good, with a slightly older crowd the one time I went there for a bar (mid thirties plus). I only have one compliant the paper on the tables. This is a pretty nice place the the paper on the table is odd. This is not a crab house why do that and mess up the mood.

i love their fish and chips. burger is awesome as well. i like their mahi-mahi. its the closest to "eating fish like you're at the beach" feeling. service is good. unfortunately, i can't comment on the famous bang bang shrimp because im allergic but i like the wagyu beef & ginger dumplings. however, i don't know if they use real "wagyu beef" but it's still yummy

A little bit FYI: Bonefish is from the same corp. that owns Outback Steakhouse and Carrabba's Italian Grill. I've eaten here about 4 times and the only fish item I've tried is their Pistachio Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout, which just makes my mouth water. The portion for that order is huge, but I didn't mind eating fishy leftovers. The other times I've been here, I've gotten a mixture of appetizers. Their list is pretty impressive, but Bang Bang Shrimp (crispy shrimp in a creamy, spicy sauce) and Mussels Josephine (the garlic, tomatoes, basil, and wine sauce is so good it calls for dipping your bread to sop up that concoction) are my favorite. Also how could I not mention their Bacon Wrapped Sea Scallops with Mango Salsa? If you get an entree that comes with a side item, you should pick the potatoes au gratin. I wish the portion was bigger! It's just too bad there is not a location closer to DC so that everyone could try out the quality seafood at a reasonable price.

I am going to try to keep my rant short and to the point on this corporate restaurant. I do not like corporate chains. I am swearing them off forever after this review. I am not interested in "cute little waitrons". Went on a early Sunday night only a couple of weeks ago, with 2 children, ages 10 mos., and 8 years. Both have been going to restaurants since born. Restaurant not busy. Hosts: Rude with attitude. You are how old? Hmmm...my 8 year old granddaughter has better manners than you. You keep walking by me and not only bumping into me, but making me move for you. Excuse me! There was clearly another path you could have taken, but in your infinite rudeness, you insisted on coming by and ensuring me how your mother didn't raise you right. Service: Inadequate, not knowledgeable and thinking that you are. Can I get this fish stuffed instead of the tilapia which I hate?? OH, but the tilapia is awesome. I just told you I hate it. Back and forth. Yeah, keep aggravating me. Goes to kitchen to find out if they can do it. Of course they can do it, it's a no brainer. Fish comes with capers-hate them! Does the menu say they come with them? She nods yes. I know it doesn't, as I would have asked them to be removed. I spend too much time removing them. Call the next evening and speak to the manager. He says it does not say it on the menu. Hmmm...imagine that! Rude female server you send to deliver bread- You sit the bread in front of baby, I move it and tell you it's not a good idea to set something in front of a baby as they grab things, and it's hot, while I move the candle that you should have moved in the first place to set bread, and after I tell you this, you move candle back so I have no room-Go get another job. Your snarky attitude belongs on the street. Food: Greasy, bland flavor and overpriced for the quality. Not only will I not return, I've already told several people this place is lacking in service, food, but has plenty of attitude to spare.

I so miss this place. When we moved to San Diego, I expected to find a replacement, and so far, two years later, I have not. I miss the mahi-mahi with the spinach gorgonzola topping and the au gratin taters. When I was pregnant with my son I craved this meal every day until he popped, and every now and then I still think of that wonderful dish. I can't comment on the rest of the food, because honestly this is the only thing I get when I go. The cocktails are banging, and the bread is yummy, but oh God, if you go, please don't leave without a piece of the key lime pie. It is wonderful. It is super good they don't ship overnight, because I would pay the prices to get it here in a minute!

Mmm seafood... This stylish chain restaurant is well done all around. The decor will please everyone with a 'low light' romantic dinner feel. The hostesses and servers are friendly and helpful. I go there dressed casually most of the time but it is nice enough where you could dress up and not look out of place. The food is always good. My favorite is the Maryland Crabcake but last time I had a Pistachio-crusted Rainbow Trout and that was excellent too. There is a variety of fish for you to try along with some redmeat in case you are not in the mood for seafood. Overall this chain satisfies and deserves a repeat visit. (There is also one in the Greenbriar Shopping Center on Lee Jackson Highway.)

This is a pretty good restaurant for seafood and is a place I would frequent if I am in the neighborhood. The Bang Bang Shrimp is awesome and is a must-try, while the Singapore Calamari is also decent. I have tried the Sea Scallops and Shrimp with Lemon Butter sauce and while it was good, the portions were laughable and there was nothing special about it. I also tried the only noodle dish on the menu and it was okay. Overall, a decent restaurant with a spectacular Bang Bang Shrimp that you should try.

We (wife and I) walked away happy and full but we won't be hurrying back anytime soon. The food was good and the service excellent. Nicely decorated restaurant as well. Had the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer. I believe the same appetizer at Ruby Tuesday is better. Had the Coconut Shrimp appetizer. No doubt Outback puts these to shame but they were decent. I had the Fish and Chips. The fish was tasty but way too greasy and way too salty. Wife had the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos and she thought they were very good. Overall a good experience but nothing special.

This was another restaurant we were able to have a meal w/o the boys while the Grandparents were a babysitting. Another chain restaurant, but I must say it is not as well executed as Sweetwater Tavern across the street....and it is not a place I would care to go back to. Not that it was bad, but it really wasn't all that special. True the fish was very fresh, but I'm not particularly fond of seafood restaurants that allow the choice of how the fish is prepared....I think that decision should be up to the executive chef. We shared the chilean seabass prepared Pan Asian style (we had Cantler's for lunch), which likened to a teri sauce. The clam chowder was good, and I enjoyed the pesto served with bread. Overall, the preparation was on the crude side, and pales in comparison to the seabass at Scott's Seafood. Our server was really attentive, but the hostess that evening was quite rude - she looked rather annoyed when we came to the front, as if we interrupted her napkin folding.

The bang-bang shrimp appetizer is great. Otherwise, the cost is about twice the value.
