Definitely a local favorite! Cheerful and cute decor, and alright service. Don't let your eyes be bigger than your stomach - portions are pretty big!

My mom and I stopped in at Betty's on a road trip based on the yelp reviews. The service was friendly but very slow- it took about an hour for us to receive two simple egg dishes. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes and within three hours became very sick. I tend to be fairly sensitive to greasy foods but this made me sicker than I have been from food in awhile. Overall, people were very friendly but I would not recommend this restaurant, especially if you have a weak stomach like me.

Nice little dinner with good food. My sister had the biggest cinnamon roll I have ever seen! They have a great homemade jam too.

It was ok. Definitely a locals diner. Coffee wasn't great and neither were the pancakes. Pancakes tasted box made.

Hands down best breakfast in Vernal! Always good service. Food does take a little bit long. But the wait is totally worth it! I always order the "Betty's Breakfast Special" and it has yet to fail me! TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!

The greasiest meal I have ever had We sent back the chicken fried steak that tasted sour and grease filled. Do not stop in.

Biscuits are awesome, pancakes were awesoem, chicken fried steak was awesome. Country gravy was horrible, not sure if it was a bad batch or what but it was grainy, flavorless, and tasted like they didn't cook out the flour at all. Needed some flavoring somehow salt or sausage or something

never again. When there after a local told us how great it is. Restaurant is awful and the service and food was awful.

I would never go back. Our cook was making our breakfast sandwiches while talking on her cell phone the whole time. That's sick!!!! The bacon was thick cut and that was the best thing about the place. Also I really think they need to get the fly situation under control.

Stopped for lunch, service was good, lots of locals. Scone was yummy, Indian Taco was good. Short stack of pancakes was huge and really good. Beef Stew had a lot of cabbage which I am not a fan of...husband had a chili cheese omelette, he said it was good.

This cafe was pretty good. Stopped in on a road trip. The service was good and I was in the mood for breakfast even though it was lunch time, so I was glad for the breakfast all day.

So delicious! Large portion sizes and great food. My dad stopped here this summer while riding motorcycle from MN. He raved about Bettys so when working in Craig this fall we drove over to eat there. The decorating is great and it has a welcoming atmosphere. We are going back tomorrow before we leave!

Excellent breakfast. Pleasant staff. The portions are large so you might want to split a breakfast if you aren't in the mood for a glutton-fest. They give you a massive pile of fried potatoes.

I was too late (2PM) to get seated on my first visit so I tried again (7AM) when I was back in town a week later. From what I'd read Betty's was good place for breakfast. I agree. I was pleasantly greeted and asked to seat myself. Two groups of folks, perhaps morning coffee/breakfast regulars, were huddled around two and three tables laughing and discussing business, politics, and share and tell stuff. They were friendly and smiled and I found a nice quiet table across the room to read the paper and enjoy what I hoped would be a good cup of coffee (it was). There were other individuals like myself who were seated reading the paper, eating and getting ready to start their day---a mountain rescue ranger, a river guide, and an older couple tourists. I ordered "safe"---two eggs over easy, bacon cooked crisp, whole wheat toast and coffee. Breakfast was "perfecto", served timely and exactly as ordered, plus a bonus. Betty's has one of Utah's great natural resources. They prepare and serve excellent "home made" raspberry jam. I was too occupied with my meal to notice that the groups of happy folks had finished their coffee/meals and moved out to the parking lot and on down the highway. Betty's is a great place for a straight on breakfast and it seems to be the choice of a variety of people. Check it out and enjoy. I will definitely go back when I'm in the area.

Awful. We were seated at an unbussed table. Orange Juice was not fresh, tasted like orange flavored water out of a plastic jug. The food itself was mediocre at best, and the hashbrowns were soggy (yes, soggy. bleh). The best part of the meal was the bottle of hot sauce. I highly advise steering clear of this place.

What's with all the raves?! We chose this place for breakfast based on the reviews here and it's one of the only times Yelpers have steered us wrong. - Yeah, you can seat yourself at an unbussed table. But expect dirty looks from the waitstaff and to be ignored. - The waitress said she'd be by to pick up our order. She did take our menus on her next go-by. But then made us wait to order for another 5 minutes. The topper was when she was visibly annoyed that by then I had forgotten the name of what I wanted. - Yeah, they have biscuits and gravy. Dense hunks of bread covered in gravy so aggressively bland that salt and pepper does nothing to help it along. - However, excellent bacon! Perfectly cooked, thick strips. We should have left after being ignored and not being allowed to have so much as water for the first ten minutes. Believe me, we won't be making the mistake of going to Betty's on the return drive.

Be ready to wait on a Sunday at the Main Street location. This is local and casual. Locals walk in and sit wherever they want. Clean or not. It took almost an hour to get table cleaned, coffee and our order taken. Thirty minutes more food. Would have walked out if not for folks i was with. Freezer jam, bacon, waffles all good. Might try on different day. Sunday was a bust. Service. None to speak of...Food, fresh and tasty.

We were passing by Vernal, Utah and our motel hostess suggested this place for perfect home-cooked meals. I got the eggs with ham and my husband the Betty's special. The biscuit with gravy was one of the best I've had! The home fries and ham were also superb! Really great food and nice home-town atmosphere. We were extremely lucky to have found this place.

Understand there two locations for this establishment. If you are traveling west on hwy 40 from CO the first one you will encounter will be roughly 5 miles outside of Vernal at the Split Mountain truck stop. The menu is identical to the restaurant located in Vernal city limits however it is much easier to get a table. Locals will bus empty tables at the location in Vernal just to get a seat. However this is not expected and seating yourself at an available table that has not been bused is perfectly acceptable. The waitstaff will make their way to the table as soon as possible. That being said the food is great and you will not find a better breakfast spot in Vernal.

This is a place you go to hungry and leave quite well satisfied. The food is great and the service is equally great. The special's have the name "Bettty's xxx". Each meal is delicious. Enjoy in good health and a wonderful slumber after your meal.

Betty's Cafe has very friendly service and very good omelets. The veggie omelet is loaded with veggies and the three egg version is certainly enough food to fuel even the hungriest person. I have not personally tried the sandwiches on offer but my friends say that they are very good as well.

Excellent place to get breakfast. Homemade raspberry jam is to die for. Service is fast and waiters keep your coffee topped off without having to ask. Next time I am in Vernal I will definitely go to Betty's Cafe for breakfast.

Nice greasy spoon near the center of Vernal. Wide selection of breakfast and lunch. I like that. No frills, just your basics, but wide selection basics done to suit my gastronomical needs.

Fun little greasy spoon. Service is great. I was a little disappointed that on Saturdays they only serve breakfast, but their breakfasts are good enough to make up for it. Don't leave without trying the pancakes.

After a week of river rafting down the Green River, wanted a big hot breakfast (after a long, hot shower). River guide recommended Betty's -- and yup, he was right. Fresh fluffy eggs, Home-made raspberry jam (using local grown fruit--bonus!). Unless you like your potatoes really soft, ask to have them cooked crispy. Yumm. Hungry.
