Diabetics at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. You should also avoid Avocado Bacon Burger and Monterey Melt as both these burgers contain a high amount of fat. Sweat & Spicy Bacon Burger will add extra 1080 calories in your diet so skip that as well. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

My absolute favorite! The one place we always go to when family is in town! Always fresh!!

  • Rachele D.

I love their fries, rings, and mushrooms. The burgers are meh. I think their BLTs are wonderful, but not thick cut bacon so they may not be your groove.

  • Kody C.

Saw this on triple D and had to try it! Loved the Big Ben! The bun was my favorite part! Money shakes, and great fries!

  • Becky E.

Ran into the Burger Bar going to the Hill Aerospace Hill Museum..We got Big Ben with Cheese and it was delicious. Also ordered onion rings and thought they were better than the fries with the fry sauce. Wish I could've order a shake/malt but was too full. Great place to eat while in northern Utah.

  • Sabrina C.

The Burgers are good but would be better if smaller and thicker. Buns are delicious and shakes are flavorful! Fries done too much.

  • Sylvia C.

The only reason I came down here was the special on Guy's Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. I happened to be watching the food network while I was visiting Utah. Its nice to visit there, but really, its just a burger joint. This was a large hamburger, but the patty was not thick, but rather just flattened out. Still debating if I like that... The shakes are hefty and decent sized. I would come back here just for the shakes.

That Burger Bar gets face time on Food Network shows how backwater Utah can be on getting even the classics like burgers done right. Is this the best they could have featured? No! Did they even try? Not much of a compliment to Utah if they did. Yeah, the buns are big. Sure they give a nod to local mountain peak Ben Lomond. Indeed, they've been a Roy staple for generations. I grew up in Roy, so I've downed many a Double Ben, Sea Ben, Fried Mushrooms, Onion Rings, Shakes, whatever. But "Booger Bar" doesn't make a great burger. They don't make a huge, yet extremely delicious, gastronomic oddity like often graces food and travel shows. (See Big Juds in Boise that recently got some publicity on Man V. Food.) Once Burger Bar was a cheap eats dive, but their prices are just okay given the food quality. Burger Bar's tour de force is a freak show burger: a limp griddle-cooked Big Ben patty on a soggy bun dressed with Utah Fry Sauce soaking in shredded iceberg lettuce and a pickle. They haven't served the hand-cut fries, one of things that earned them a name, as the staple style of french fry for nearly 20 years. (And even then they weren't quite as good as memory makes them.) They'll still make "old-fashioned" fries on special order but they're even darker, limper, more broken and greasy than they once were. In other words, they got worse at even attempting to serve a well-made classic french fry. At one time they even loaded you up with their adequate fry sauce; now they practically give you a thimble of the stuff in comparison. Cheapwads. I would've given them 3.5 - 4 stars -- on a "good greasy spoon" kind of scale -- when I was hanging out here for late eats after a high school football game. But once you've experienced dives and diners worth crowing about, this place doesn't stand out much in a good way. Somehow Burger Bar got worse over the years, and not a "bad for your health but good for your tastebuds" kind of worse. Even for nostalgia's sake it's pretty ordinary.

I saw this place on Diners, Drive ins and Dives and immediately knew I needed a reason to visit Utah. Suprisingly enough someone I know moved to Utah and the great trip to Burger Bar was born. Worth it? Most definitely. Juicy, delicious, cheesy, gigantic burgers with onions rings and fries to match. A point of interest for me was the fry sauce, as up until then I have never had it before but it definitely was delicious. For a place surrounded in a crowd of people the service was fast and the order nice and hot. Price wise not too bad, my only complaint? I wish they had a public restroom as, after a 45 minute drive, we could have used one. Definitely a point of interest for anyone visiting or otherwise, as good as they say it is for sure.

Like many others, I saw this place reviewed on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." Pulled in after a day-long drive from Denver. It did not disappoint. Sure, there is almost no place to sit, but others were willing to share their spots on the various concrete slabs that offer horizontal space. And what's a little discomfort when the food is good? I sampled beef, buffalo and elk burgers and all were good. Also, the onion rings were first-rate (I am sick and tired of pre-bought onion rings with thick, doughy breading sadly found at so many other places). I did not get a shake, a mistake I realized when a family of four sat down next to me with an impressive variety of flavors. Next time I will definitely try one of the shakes (there are so many kinds, it's intimidating to a rookie) and also the regular fries. So, is it a destination restaurant? Probably not. Would I hit it every time I'm remotely in the neighborhood? Definitely.

A great Weber county tradition. Great food, great prices. My fav: the steak sandwich w/ cheese, bacon, and tomato. The fries are darn good too.

  • Kris B.

We heard about this place from Triple D on the Food Network. We happened to be in Roy taking care of some business and the restaurant was just around the corner, so we thought we'd check it out. The service was quick, prices seemed fair and the burgers, fries and shakes were good. That said, I don't know that I'd drive all the way to Roy from Salt Lake just for the burger, with all the burger joints down here I am sure I can find one as good or better.

    (3)
  • Mike B.

Great fresh onion rings are the best part. Burgers are average. Waiting in the winter is too cold, but great for a spring, summer or fall day.

    (4)
  • Chris A.

Great drive-in. Stick with the beef burgers unless you love game meat. Shakes are the best.

    (4)
  • Adam K.

This is a decent hometown burger joint. The shakes and fries are good. Burgers can sometimes be a little overcooked. I prefer the buffalo burger. Add tomatoes if they are in season.

  • Maxwell M.

You must try the hand-made fried mushrooms! When I am in a mood for a huge burger the Big Ben is your choice! I have tried their Exotic meats burgers too, their Elk and Bison are great examples of the complexity just changing the meat of your burger does to your meal. their steak Ben happens to be super-huge pressed steak sandwich!!! There is no outside seating and it literally a Bar you have to walk up and order your meal and pick it up...!

  • Brett C.

Good food good prices. Wait can be a little long (we waited about 15 mins) but its cause they make it fresh and everyone loves this place.

    (5)
  • Robert J.

Overrated. The food is good, but not great. The shakes are good....over the rim. The fries are good, but the burgers do not impress (thin patties, plain buns). The feel is that of an old-time drive in. It has a good atmosphere. I'm surprised that it was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives on the Food Network. Personally, I don't feel it deserved that kind of recognition. When we go to the Burger Bar it is for the shakes and fries only. There are other nearby restaurants with equal or better burgers.

  • Roger A.

Fantastic Elk Burger! Also the Raspberry Lemonade lasted forever - as the ice melted it just became a raspberry slushy. More fries than you can eat come with the burger so don't buy extra.

    (5)
  • Brent T.

I grew up on Burger Bar so I'm a big fan. They still do things almost the same way they did back when I was a kid. I love the double cheese ben, old fashioned style. Good shakes too.

  • Sunny D.

Me: "Hmmm this burger tastes kinda funny......it tastes different" Friend: "Yeah you're right. It doesn't taste like any burger I've ever eaten." Friend (to waitress): "Umm excuse me my burger tastes weird" Waitress: "You don't like elk?" *gags*spits*throws burger in trash* I'm sorry little elk. I didn't know.

  • Ann-Marie H.

I've been devoted to their buffalo burger for so long I can't remember what their beef burgers taste like, but Burger Bar's buffalo burger is perfect: rich, flavorful, and juicy even though it's still very lean. The other thing I love about this place is their incredible variety of malt and shake flavors - the fruit malts especially are thick and out of control!

    (5)
  • Armando O.

Decent burgers. I had their Buffalo burger. It was my first time tasting Buffalo. It was good. Give them props for still being in business. Something like this cannot be found in Los Angeles.

The continuation of what became a burger quest weekend.......had visitors in from SF, and they had seen this place on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. That show makes everything look awesome, so they had decided well in advance of their trip they needed to go here. We bit the bullet, and took the drive. It was a ways away from my house. I have to say it was worth it. This is old school. The burgers were great (my friends had like the double Big Ben or something), the buns looked soft and delicious..and the onion rings didn't fall apart. That for me was the best part. The rings. I just had a small hamburger and the rings. MMMM. Not sure I would drive back there unless I had another reason, but definitely worth the visit to check it out. The other part I liked was just sitting on the benches outside eating when your food comes up. Just hanging out people watching.

  • Ramin R.

This is place is OK I guess. The fries are too salty. The milkshakes are good - a lot of flavors - but it's more like melting ice cream than a milkshake. The burgers need some work. Now, I am sure this is how they have been doing it for decades but the pickles, special Utah fry sauce, and McDonald's lettuce is not doing it for me. The fried mushrooms looked good but I didn't try it unfortunately. Just your average old time burger stand that refuses to change anything. It's fun to go but don't be expecting anything except just massively huge burgers. They have elk and buffalo, which is cool.

    (3)
  • Melissa L.

burger bar, your burgers are overrated. they taste funny. like they are burnt or something. your bacon is flimsy gross fast food bacon. the sauce is ok, but it doesn't redeem the disappointment between two buns that is a burger bar burger.

  • Tower C.

When I think of Roy, I think of hot summer nights with crowds of high school kids, couples, and families eating in cars and standing around the Burger Bar. This is the place to go in the area for burgers, fries, and shakes, especially when it's late at night. My favorite menu item is the Big Ben Burger that comes with freshly cut fries and two little containers of tasty fry sauce. I also like the soft-serve vanilla ice cream. This is a good, no-frills, local eating establishment. And I trust where the locals eat.

  • Stiffler L.

A great burger and good fries, with very reasonable prices. Considering how all these new joints pop up and charge $7 for just the burger and then you add fries and drink on top, Burger Bar stays competitive. The bun they serve their burgers on is one you can't find anywhere else.

    (4)
  • Tom N.

With so many good burger options I don't know if it would make sense to drive up here just for the burgers or even the scene. However, if you are in the area you would be an idiot not to try this institutions food. Pretty good greasy burger served up old school. Try the shakes and big ben

  • Heather S.

I've had their burgers a couple times. Probably never again. They are mediocre, at best. There are much better burgers (and cheaper) in the area. I can't figure out what the hype is all about. Oh, and I'm a HUGE French fry fan. Their fries are lame.

The Burger Bar - celebrity of the Food Network's show, "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" was a designated stop on our road trip from Denver to Seattle. It was only a mile off our designated route, and with all the praise heaped on it from internet denizens and food celebrities it was a no-brainer here to stop here for the obligatory mid-west road trip grease bomb. We ordered the Big Cheese Ben meal, which came with fries, and we added an order of fried mushrooms and a chocolate malt. The burger was good, but not stellar as the Hollywood treatment would suggest, and the fries were nice and crispy, but lacking a little in flavor. Inferior to Burger King fries, in my opinion. The fried mushrooms, however, were far better than any I've had from buffalo wings joints, with large mushrooms, a flavorful batter and a good choice of dipping goo - "fry sauce", cocktail sauce and a basic ranch. The chocolate malt was a lot more solid than I expected. Actually, it stuck out of the cup by about two inches, solid as a soft serve ice cream. So, not really a chocolate malts. In case the photographs don't tell the story, this is not a sit down diner. It's more of a front, with a kitchen crammed behind a wall of plexiglass; an aquarium of fast food exhibits. Order your food and wait on one of the well used and loved concrete benches. When you're number is called, march dutifully to the window and pick up your dripping sack of lipids. Then retreat to your vehicle. There are no tables or chairs. Its just you and the burger. You know, this is a good non-franchise burger place, but I don't see the star appeal. Solid food, but not something I'd crawl back to, begging for another handful of cheese and beef. No, this isn't worth the 7 hour drive at all.

It's the Burger Bar....need I say more? Amazing burgers: check. Delicious fries: check. Salty, greasy, wonderful onion rings: check. Divine shakes: check. What else needs to be said?

The burger bar is one of the few true mom and pop food joints around here. It's owned and operated by a local family, and it definitely has that feel to it. The food is great, reasonably priced, and it comes in generous servings. I recommend the fried mushrooms instead of fries, you can thank me later. Their shakes are what probably keeps people coming back. For about the same price as a McFlurry or Blizzard, you get a much better made shake, and it's about twice as big. I knocked off one star because they are considered a drive-inn restaurant, but they don't come to your car (you have to get out and order at the walk up window), and they don't have anywhere to sit and eat your food. There's a couple benches, but no tables to eat at. Just my little complaint, nothing big, just a little inconvenient.

I ordered the buffalo burger, gems (tator tots), and a large coke today. Service was friendly and they got the food out really fast for how busy they were. Cheese is extra so the cost of the meal was just under 10 bucks. The germs are really good here. They always have the perfect crunch and are never soggy, which I really hate. They salt them a bit and they have a good flavor overall. They do not skimp on the fry sauce either, you get two 1.5 ounce containers to drench the gems in. So good. The buffalo burger tasted really good. When I opened the package part of the burger was torn off and the burger overall was sloppily put together but the taste was good. I think they could ease up on the fry sauce on the burger too, there was way too much of it and it was everywhere. I needed a case of napkins just to finish the burger. Overall another good visit to burger bar.

Good burgers and fries, and great shakes. Been going here since I was a kid. (That's a long time ago.) Going there likely will not be a transcendent experience in your life, but it's really good.

This was such an awesome lunch! It honestly felt like more of an even than just a meal. We saw it featured on Diners, Drive-In's and Dives, and decided to try it when in Utah visiting. What a great decision! This place was sooooo good. The buns are home made. The onion rings are homemade. The fry sauce is homemade. The tomatoes are home grown. The shakes are so thick they stand up two inches above the cup. The Coke is sweet and has the perfect syrup mixture. Crushed ice!! We got the Double Big Ben with cheese, fried, onion rings, and a Caramel malt. Every bite was delicious. The bun was my favorite part. Soooo good. The gal I ordered from so nice and helpful. The girl who gave us our food gave us tons of fry sauce and napkins without even asking. There was tons of seating for while you wait to get your food. Tons of big shade trees around their massive parking area. Very clean. Just overall such a fun experience having yummy food and enjoying a nice breezy day in the sun. Loved it!!!

Awesome food ppl are great. I love the double cheese ben the kids got corn dog, grilled cheese and cheese burger. The wife loves the sea ben. This month exotic meats are lamb or goat. They also have elk ben and buffalo ben. The elk is great. Excellent place for good burgers.

I had the perfect experience at Burger Bar. This is deserving of five stars in every area. The service was exceptional. The workers were super helpful and answered all questions. The price was spot on. The Big Ben with fries was like $6. Can't get a better deal than that. Most importantly the food was perfect. The buns are homemade and are killer. You get fresh garden tomatoes on your burger. Where does that even happen? This is an old fashion drive thru so there is not an inside but what there is lots of really good parking and lots of shade. I seriously cannot say enough for this place.

I will never get a burger and shake from any other place! Love me some crispy round bacon and the option to get game meat is awesome! This place is doing it right! Service is never disappointing. Plan on waiting but it's totally worth every bite!

Good food, shitty customer service. I ordered a quad cheese Ben today. Got it and realized it was a double Ben that had been marked as a quad Ben. I call and they ask me what the order number was. Really? Do you honestly expect everyone to remember their damned order number? The kid I talked to was non-management, so he relayed what I said to a manager who was standing right there... that manager didn't even have the courtesy to talk to me. Told me to call back tomorrow when the morning manager would be on shift. Horrible... horrible customer service. I don't spend money at an establishment to be called a liar and expect them to do nothing. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is because I do like their food. Their management however, sucks. My advice is to study your order number... write it down. Keep it near and dear just in case some snotty manager needs to 'verify'. It is also a good idea to unwrap your burger right in front of them so they can see whether or not it's the correct order. Had I known the crappy CS I would have done just that. Shameful to treat your customers like that, especially ones who have eaten at your establishment far too many times over the years.

  • Tanya S.

Their shakes and fried mushrooms are pretty much their only standout for me. Their fries are at par with a lot of other fast food restaurants but they have great fry sauce. Their burgers are pretty blah from my experience. No real place to sit and eat, which isn't a knock, its just something to be aware of if you don't like eating in your car. Service speed is good...they are frequently busy. As i said though, i generally visit there only for shakes and sometimes mushrooms.

The worst thing about this place is that I crave it at the most odd times and its 45 minutes away from me! This place is always packed with huge lines. There is no indoor seating. You order outside, wait outside, and eat outside. Of course, I had to try the Big Ben for the first time. AMAZING. And let me tell you, I like burgers and all but it's not something I would always choose. The flavors in the meat are to die for. The only disappointment I had: 10 tiny pieces of shredded lettuce. I like my burgers with a bunch of veggies and this had barely any but it was still good. I also got to try to fried mushrooms, also AMAZING. Crispy and flavorful, with a side of ranch. I'm anticipating the day I can go back and try it again.

The burgers here are huge, my go to burger is the Big Cheese Ben. It is delicious and juicy. Everything here is made fresh, so it might take awhile for you to get your food.

Fry sauce. I am NOT a fan. Sorry, people but I'm just not. Fry sauce ruined my entire burger at this place. I was so excited for it. It smelled great. Took a biiiiiig bite. FRY SAUCE! What? Yep. All. Over. My. Burger. Wasn't on the menu. I'm not from Utah, how was I supposed to know?! Needless to say, I didn't actually eat my burger so I can't say what they're like. I did however, eat fried mushrooms. Magically delicious, tender yet crispy, fried mushrooms. With ranch on the side. Oh, they were SO good- I didn't even care about my burger anymore! Milkshakes here are so thick you need a spoon, and they have some pretty great flavor options. I need to go back, ditch the fry sauce, and have a burger. Based on the mushrooms, I will eat here again because they were just that good. Give them a try, and decide for yourself- but watch out for the fry sauce!

Literally, this is the best burger on earth. I miss Utah so much and it's primarily because of this restaurant. If your anywhere near Roy you need to stop here and eat.

Few things welcome you to the area quite like Burger Bar. For years this has been a favorite of mine and my family. To food is consistently good and keeps us coming back anytime we are near. If you have not been here it is worth the local flavor.

I saw this on the food network for one of the episodes for Diners, drive ins and dives and I'm glad I finally was able to check this place out! It's hard for me to come here often bc it's in Roy and I live in SLC but this will definitely be a place I visit whenever I'm in Roy. The reviews were correct about the burgers- very delish. I had their Big Ben with cheese and the burger is huge! The meat is cooked to perfection and the veggies are fresh. The bun is soft and chewy but not undercooked. My friend got the steak sandwich and he wasn't fond of the bun but ended up eating all the meat inside. My friend felt like the bun was undercooked and would've preferred it toasted but we all have different taste so.. Meh. I loved my entire meal. The portions are huge. The fries are crispy and comes with two fry sauces and if you want extra, they charge you more. The fry sauce in the burger makes it a winner. The fry sauce is made in house and taste so much better than the fry sauce you find anywhere else like at McDonald's, Arby's or arctic circle. The fried mushrooms are yummy and crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside and comes with a side of ranch dipping sauce. I wish burger bar was closer to me bc I would continue to give them my business. This establishment is family owned and operated and I can taste the love they put into serving quality burgers. No tables and seating area- they call your number and you eat in your car or take it Togo. Good job triple D for showing me this place!

When I saw the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives sign that is proudly displayed on the outside of Burger Bar...I got all excited. I got a burger, fries and a drink after waiting in a long line. Once I opened up the burger I was like...really? That's it? It was absolutely nothing special and not worthy of being on the show. I really...really wanted it to be but it just wasn't anything I would ever go out of my way for. So later on I actually see the episode of DD&D's when it featured Burger Bar. It was almost laughable. You know how Guy Fieri is always gushing over every bite of food and all the restaurants he goes to? You never see that in this episode. His expressions are almost always stoic and sort of bored. When he samples the food he is pretty much emotionless and I know why...because there is nothing special or over the top about it. I make a better burger at home. At one point Guy looks like he's wondering who in the heck on the DD&D council decided this was a great place. He looks like he just wants to get this episode over with. I have to wonder if anyone got fired for sending him there.

As we had eaten there 23 years ago, and at that time it's was probably the best mom and pop burger joint we had tried, we decided to try it again on a trip to the area. I am sorry to say...it was a very disappointing experience this time. The order was full of mistakes, the customer service was dismal at best, the buns were doughy and not cooked fully, and the fry sauce they used was so over bearing, it soaked the paper it was wrapped in and you couldn't even taste the meat. The highlight was the fried mushrooms that were juicy and cooked very well. Suggestion...don't marinate the entire meal with your sauce to the point that that's all you take, and get your bread vender to COOK the buns! My sons Quad seemed to have the correct ratio of sauce to meat...but a full pound of meat may give the establishment a clue as to their amount of condiment. We for one will probably not eat there again.

Seriously unimpressed after all the hype. The patties were thin and lacked any real favor. Service was terrible - one burger was completely left out of the order. The onion rings were chalky, which I didn't even know was possible. The only thing I actually enjoyed were the fried mushrooms. We won't ever go back.

So disappointing. My sister-in-law saw it on 3D and wanted to try it. The bun overwhelmed the burger. Tomatoes and onion are not included. Just a big bust! Will never go there again!

Many locals around the area probably won't like what I have to say here. I have been around this area off and on for 20+ years and everyone has always preached to the heavens about the greatness of the almighty Burger Bar in Roy, UT. I have even had relatives who worked here and brought the food home so I am well versed. Truth be told, they make an okay burger. It is edible but there is really nothing special about it in any way. The burger everyone will tell you about is the "Big Ben". Okay, its quite a large burger. Great. A million other places make a giant burger too. I will give it to them that they were one of the first to have a burger this size and that accounts for a lot of the buzz. But ultimately, it is just a burger, not great, not special, just bigger. Fries are standard with nothing special. They serve fry sauce like every other fast food restaurant in the entire state. The waitstaff is fast and friendly so that have that going for them, also, their shakes and malts are usually very good but again nothing you couldn't get a few miles down the road that is just as good. Not sure how they ever made it on DD & D but that certainly did renew the hype for the locals. Sorry Burger Bar, you are an oldie, but not that goodie.

Didn't care for burger bar. The bun was to doughy. Vey heavy. Three star rating from me

Biggest disappointment ever after watching 3D episode recommending this place. The burger pattie was flat, small, dry and flavorless. The bun was so huge it just swallowed the burger and it was DRENCHED in fry sauce. (Don't get me wrong I love sauce, but this was too much.) What the heck was up with no tomato or onion. Fries were okay, so we're fried mushrooms. Onion rings and shake were super yummy, but not enough to make up for the fact that we threw away half out meal. Fast food has better burgers. Idk if I will eat somewhere based on 3D recommendation again.

I'm really closer to a 3.5, but I'll stick with a 4 admitting that I've only been here once and have only tried the Big Ben, the fries, the onion rings, and a tiny bit of my friend's shake. In my opinion, the food is good . . . not the best ever, but definitely good. The Big Ben's burger bun is way too much bun for me (I'm a fan of burger's that have a 50 / 50 or 60 / 40 or more meat to bun ratio), as my patty was completely enveloped by the bread. Yes, the bread was good, and maybe you're looking for more bread than meat in your burger, but I think it's worth pointing out that you're getting a lot more bun for your money than you'll probably get anywhere else. So I guess the answer is simple--next time I'll just get a burger with more than one patty. Also, I didn't love the fry sauce. It was too much mayo and not mixed enough. However, I appreciate what they're trying to do, loved the onion rings and fries, and felt that the prices were good. If I return to Roy ever again, I'll go back.

My only complaint, if I had one, would be too much food! We live the exotic burgers and the shakes are so good!

Tasty and lean buffalo burger, and GREAT onion rings (portion size is for 2-3 people). Why were they great? As far as know, they weren't of the prefab variety. They were nice and crispy, all different shapes, thicknesses and sizes, and the breading delicately flaked/crumbled off when you either bit into it or dipped it in the 'fry' sauce. These rings are definitely not like the one's with thick indestructible breading. The buffalo burger was simple, had great flavor (even when the fry sauce flavor wore off) and oddly reminded me of a burger joint my mom used to take us to at Fashion Place Mall when I was a wee lad of 5 or 6 - Water Burger. That was a treat, for sure. Anyone remember that resto? All in all a great, satisfying meal that came in under $10. DDD definitely didn't lose any cred on this one.

A long time ago I went to the Burger Bar and wasn't that impressed. This past week I stopped by again, not really too sure what to expect. Well holy cow! I got the double big ben cheese burger and it was stupid good. The fries were nice and crisp as well, and they gave me enough fry sauce for the burger and fries. They have a bunch of weird meats there too like llama and I think ostrich. Dont know about the ostrich and other birds but llama would be interesting. Maybe I'll take my friend Caaaarl! with me... Anyway, its a great place. Stop by sometime and experience this Utah original!

Saw this place on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and thought I'd take the drive from SLC to Roy to check it out. It wasn't bad, but not good enough for a spot on the show. The "Big Ben" burger was not so big at all. The bun was big and the burger was small. Bun was good, burger was good, but not for each other. Homemade onion rings and fries were good. We had to find a park to eat it at because Burger Bar has no tables or any type of outdoor seating at all. Just ok for me ... wouldn't take the long drive again.

This is one that came up on the radar when I was canvassing places, using Yelp natch, earlier in order to find spots that might fit in my lists that I hadn't hit up quite yet. Most of the ones in Salt Lake I'd already hit, but as I needed more spots North anyway, this seemed a good choice...until I drove by it in the summer and saw it was just a walk-up ala Iceberg. Going to stand outside in the heat and slug down a burger? Uh uh, not this guy. So, I put it off and put it off until after the snow was flying (I make a lot of sense, apparently) and happened by it when I was hungry and in the mood for a burger. The menu was not impressive and the cluttered signage decorating the building was busier than I liked, but I finally nailed down what I was going with (burger, obviously and like MC Free, a bacon cheeseburger, albeit modified somewhat). I also went with the sweet potato fries, which were nothing like the picture. Their version, by the way, is yet another in a long series of very poorly done versions of this...again, I'm not coming for the sides, though. The burger, however, wrapped in what seemed almost like that tissue paper you get around clothing, was nothing short of spectacular. The bun was magic-hour, the perfect blend of flattened and not overpowering. Truth be told, I should have went for a double and if you're reading this and are a burger aficionado, do yourself a favor and go right for the double. The patty was very thin, though cooked very well and the flavor was definitely there. The bacon came in an entire layer. It was the smaller, thinner variety, but there was plenty and this is usually a failing. Here it definitely is not. Cheese and toppings were just kind of there, but the sauce they put on it, whatever that was, definitely added to the experience. All in all, very, very solid and I'd put this burger in probably the top 5 I've had in the state, which is fairly lofty company. I'll probably be back to try the buffalo and elk and possibly that double, which I should have gotten first time around...and maybe a shake...just as soon as I'm in the area again and also feel like either standing around eating or eating inside of my parked car. It is well worth nothing that this is not a driving burger...unless you want to also turn it into a "wearing" burger, which, obviously, I guess, I did not...

I was pleasantly surprised to find a veggie burger that was pretty good at this curbside service dive (well it's not a drive-in or a diner).

Mediocre at best. This place serves o.k. burgers on great bread. No idea why there is a crowd. Gave this place three tries, and was never impressed. I'm guessing the reason people come here is nostalgia. I am not speaking out of ignorance. I have been to nearly every state, and have a thing for mom and pop burger joints. This one is just mediocre at best.

My husband and I love going to the Burger Bar and by the looks of the parking lot and crowd, lots of other folks love it, too! Each month they have an Exotic Meat. So, at least once a month we go just for that. Their Big Ben is just that...BIG! Big and delicious! Home made fries with fry sauce are perfection. My fave and go to is their chili. Oh! And DON'T FORGET dessert! The shakes are thick and come in so many varieties.

Really don't want to sound mean, but I'm not sure why people eat here and why Diners and Drive-In's featured it. The patties aren't even 1/4" thick, can hardly taste it. Food doesn't taste "bad" but that's not a reason to eat somewhere. My small bacon cheese burger, small fry, and small fried mushrooms (they are okay, fresh; like their ranch dressing with them) were $7 something.

I can't decide what to gush about first?! Everything I've sampled from the menu has been first-rate. I was a little adventurous on my most recent visit, & ordered the bison burger. It was different, and I'm not sure that I'd try it again? It wasn't bad. Just more "gamey" than I'm used to, & a bit drier than hamburger (I'm guessing its because bison are naturally less fatty than cows?). Either way, I finished the burger, in its entirety. As always, the bun was great. Better than any Wonderbread product you usually get with burgers. And I like the sauce they put on their hamburgers. My son ate his entire foot long hot dog. He's 2. So the best compliment he can give something is: eating and finishing it. My husband ordered sweet potato fries, and I had the onion rings. We didn't finish our servings, but it wasn't because of the way they tasted. It was because the portions were so big! Their fry sauce is some of the best in Utah. It makes their already amazing side-orders, even better. And I saved the best for last. Their shakes. They're phenomenal! This time, we had a mint brownie shake. My husband said it was the best shake he's ever had. I concurred! It was perfectly mixed, and they didn't skimp on the brownie bites. There were brownie bites everywhere in that shake. It was fantastic! Burger Bar is always busy. More often, than not; you'll have a 10+ minute wait for your food. But I think it's well worth the wait!

  • Daniel G.

What more could you ask for? Local burger spot with funky exotic meat burgers that change every month and consistently good "regular" buffalo, beef, and elk burgers whenever you want em. The shakes are famously over the top (literally and figuratively)...too thick to sip but quite tasty. Fries are nothing special but nothing to knock, either. A little house-made fry sauce and they taste like a million bucks (well, maybe like a hundred bucks but it's a good combo). I usually come for lunch and service is fast enough. Don't come in a rush, though. This ain't McDonald's (thankfully).

A nice break from the big chain burger joints. I usually get the big Ben and while it's good and I do like their buns, but it's true there's more bun than meat. I am not a fry sauce fan, in fact I just don't get the whole fry sauce thing, it's just not good. They do have some killer onion rings yum and they're lime Ricky is very good.

I was excited to try this place, I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into what I've heard is the best burger in Utah annnnd nope... I tried the elk burger and it was ok, the fried mushrooms need some serious seasoning. Kinda disappointed. Will I try it again? yes, but only for some of their exotic meats I had no idea about.

  • Jeff M.

I think this place is incredibly over-rated. There are loads of people there every time I drive by so I figured it would be good. Honestly, I'd rather go to Warren's for burgers. Their fries (and maybe their shakes) are their only saving grace but, I haven't been able to convince myself to sit outside in the cold forever just for some fries. Aside from their mediocre burgers, another gripe I have with them is the "fry sauce". It tastes more like 1000 island dressing rather than the ol' ketchup and mayo combination I've come to know and love.

A little known fact about me, I have never eaten a fast food or restaurant hamburger, I never trust the beef to be anything more than a frozen meat substitute. When I saw a giant sign on the front of this place, saying they had been on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives (Food Network), I knew I had to go! I talked to a couple of locals and they said it was "amazing." You walk up to the front of the location and place your order, there is no drive up because fresh food just takes longer, and this is all fresh food. I was pretty annoyed that the burgers were all listed but I had no idea what any of the names meant or what was on each one, because there is quite a list and they have names that you could never interpret like, "Big Ben" how would you know what is on this thing? You wouldn't. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries, chicken strips and a chicken sandwich (not just for me, obviously) and waited. They call your number when your food is ready, which was about 10 minutes or so, not fast food in anyway. The fries were delicious! They were so yummy! But the burger... oh the burger. It was perfect, just perfect! It was cooked to order, hot and flavorful, I loved it! The chicken was really good too, but it was frozen when I saw them put it in the fryer, so I am not sure if it is made in-house but I doubt it, still really yummy. I would check this place out. I am pretty picky about my food and I am hard pressed to hand out 5 stars but this place earns it.

Um. Where did this place come from? The bun on that burger is unparalleled. I don't even know what just happened. Best bun ever! Huge servings; unless you can eat big, don't order big.

I've never liked the fact that Burger Bar does not have a drive through or dining tables. Just a couple long concrete slabs to sit on waiting for your order. My roommate hadn't been for a long time. I had suggested In & Out, because are last visit there only cost us $6.40 for 2 huge burgers and one order of fries to share. But it had been so long since we've eaten at Burger Bar we had total sticker shock. One Big Ben Burger was $5.95! So we opted for two double cheeseburgers and an order to tots. The double cheese was nothing more than a McDonald's McDouble but twice the price and the tots were way to saltly. I'm intrigued that they serve buffalo and elk. But we won't be going back.... In and Out is cheaper, more value for your buck and totally yummy fresh ingredients.

The bun was horrible, almost ruined the burger for me. Bun was too doughy, and not in a good way. About half way through I pulled it off and was able to enjoy the patty. Not worth the hype or the wait. Their fries were the meals saving grace, they were absolutely delicious. Shake was great too, they certainly give you your money's worth and then some (I could only finish half of mine)! Ironically enough I would never go back to Burger Bar for a burger, but would happily return for some fries and a shake!

Been coming here for years! Great Burgers! (Really good buns) you can stack up the patties!! They also have very fresh homemade Fries (Great!) Fantastic Shakes too!

First of all, Burger bar is not the best burger in Utah but it does have its place. Burger bar is famous for their Big Ben which is a burger that is about 5-6 inches across siting on a special doughy bun designed for a burger this size. You can get your Ben with an unlimited number of thin patties, the quad is listed on their menu but I know you can go higher if you like. Now a days I stick to the single Ben but when I was a teenager I was known to down many a quad. The Ben is slathered in fry sauce, lettuce and pickles...I skip the lettuce, and it comes with fries for around $5.00. They changed their fries about 15 years ago, I do not like the new fries but luckily they allow you to order the "home style or classic " original fries. The burger is just OK, so why do I come here? Tradition, I have been coming here for 20+ years, and some times I get a craving for that big doughy bun, a massive amount of fry sauce and those home style fries, don't forget the drink it helps to wash it all down.

Burger bar!!! I used to go to the one in Layton all the time as it was right down the street from my house but the one in Roy is the original and it's just as awesome. The double cheese Ben and their fries with dry sauce are always a great route to go and their shakes mmm they are so good if you like fresh fruit they have thee best banana shake it comes with huge chucks of banana (any of the fruit ones come with fruit chucks) they can also make the shakes outta yogurt! I really love this place!

Way over hyped. After being on Diners, drive ins and dives I expected more. Is it too much to ask to get tomato on burger? The burger was just alright. I'd compare it to Char-grill but honestly Charr-grill is better. The prices are pretty fair and the fries are good. I'd say hit this place if your close by. If not find an In and Out.

  • Derek B.

I like the Burger Bar. The food is solid, not gimmicky, and feels honest. I worry when places introduce game meat because I want it to be enjoyed and not just a novelty. This place is committed to the elk and bison, and do a reasonable job with it. The shakes and fries are good, too. Two complaints: - The order and pickup process and seating is awkward. It is what it is, no changing it without relocating or remodeling, but it is weird. - I wish places that use a variety of meats would do more to celebrate the uniqueness of those flavors. Instead, too many places treat the meat like its tofu and you get a generic meat flavor combined with all the toppings. The Burger Bar could be awesome if they would help the bison taste like bison and the elk taste like elk. Instead, they prepare them to all be closely related meat cousins, with only slight and almost imperceptible differences in flavor.

I grew up in Farr West which is about 15 minutes north of Burger Bar. I have been coming here since I was a little kid so well over 20 years. A lot of my opinion of this place is probably nostalgia, but there is a Warren's, Mcd's, Burger King, Wendy's, Arby's, 3 Chinese food places, chili's, applebee's, Ruby River, Olive Garden, TGI Friday's, and quite a few other restaurants all within 5 minutes yet Burger Bar is ALWAYS busy. I've read a few of the negative reviews on here, and only 1 or 2 of them seemed legit. I think a few of them were more concerned with writing a "funny" review on Yelp than actually writing something accurate. The burgers are different. The bun is a dense, homemade tasting option as opposed to the traditional sesame seed variety. I read one review that rated every shred of lettuce individually from another with a math equation at the end. If that's how you eat, that's fine. But generally food is prepared and served the way it is for a reason. Each ingredient compliments the other and they work together to create the desired result. And with everything together, this place is an incredible alternative to your typical fast food joint at a comparable and sometimes cheaper cost. The fries are good. I wouldn't say they're absolutely incredible, but they are better than a lot of other fast food fries. The shakes are awesome, and I hate onions so I can't say much about the onion rings. I assume they're disgusting but they smell pretty dang good. We've even brought family up from Orem/Provo area to try it and they said it was really good and they found themselves craving it. I don't know if they add an ingredient or something to cause this, but I crave Burger Bar like no other place i've eaten at. For some reason I find myself just wanting a Double Bacon Cheese Ben with fries and nothing else will hit the spot. Guy Fieri was spot on with his review of this place. It's different, it doesn't look like anything special, but it's a diamond in the rough for the area of Roy/Riverdale/Ogden. Don't let these vegetarians and animal activists scare you. Just read the menu and pay attention to what you order and eat the dang hamburger as a hamburger instead of using charts and graphs and petrie dishes to overanalyze every speck.

What the heck is up with this place? How in the hell did it even get a mention from the food network? Seriously, they need to remove that banner. Burgers were cold when I got them. Pricing was way to high for what was offered. When i first moved to the area, i was told this was the place to go. obviously not. I highly doubt i'd eat here again. But for those that like this place...more power to you.

Two words: Elk burger!! Burger Bar is your typical drive-in with a few extra special specialties. The Elk burger was moist, juicy and absolutely delicious. Anytime I happen to be in Roy... I'm stopping into the Burger Bar.

I hate to review this on one visit. Because the burger and shake was amazing. I got the buffalo burger. It was better than a regular burger, in my opinion. But the fries were absolutely horrible. I'm hoping it was just an off-period for the fry cook. Haha

I live in Vegas but I come to Utah quite often to visit family and this place is a must to stop!!!! The food is always cooked to order and fresh! The employees are so polite and kind. The shakes are to die for! It is a must at Christmas time to have a egg nog shake!! YUM!!

I try to visit some of the locations televised on triple D, so we decided to stop at this place. I ordered a few Big Ben's and kiwi/lime for my family and I. It is a very simple burger. I feel it is an oversized bun for the meat patty. Nothing to fancy and taste is ok. If you are hungry the burger will fill an empty stomach.

Elk and Buffalo Burgers are Beasty! (soooo....Good) They know what there doing! Shakes are bomb too! Reminds me a lot like Big Bens Burger Joint before it closed! Fries are fries Onion Rings are Rings But the Burgers Are Beasty! :D They really need a upgrade though, figure some seating arrangement possible in doors type. with bathrooms Scary as the grim reaper being right by the highway in front of a traffic light. Please watch your little ones! only disliked function it can be very dangerous for people and kids period.. We order and then stay in the car! with my child and wait then leave!

  • Veg V.

A friend was raving about their veggie burger. Sure...one does not go to this place to get a non-meat option....but nonetheless, we went to see what all the fuss was about. Perhaps those elk burgers or buffalo burgers are great....but the veggie option was super boring. Just a usual "already-pressed" garden patty. Now the ice cream on the other hand was delicious to the max. (And the fries are stellar too)

Northern Utah is home to many great traditional burger spots and the Burger Bar is one of the reasons why it has such a great reputation. I hadn't been since I was a grubby, hungry teenager and I was pleasantly surprised that the burgers hadn't lost their flavor, size, or value. This is a great burger that can fill you up without making you full. As many other people have noted the bun complements the meat quite well.

This place is an icon of northern Utah. We've been going there ever since we moved to the SLC area from Atlanta 2 years ago, and it is still great! The only burgers I've tried are the Elk and Buffalo burger, and both are really good. The fries are excellent, and the shakes are outstanding. Went there last weekend and we ordered a corn dog for our little girl - my wife and I both had a couple of bites since our daughter didn't finish it, and it was excellent. There is really only one negative thing that I could say about this place - there is no place to sit down and eat your food. You either have to get it to go, or take it back to your car and eat it. They ought to put some picnic tables out back, that would help.

Ok I know everyone loves this place it was not my favorite actually I was mad it tasted like a bum with fry sauce and a burger there were no onions or tomatoes on it it was not what I expected it was rather disappointing :( the onion rings were hot and battered and they had no seasoning on them just 7 containers of fry sauce to go with them .

Don't have to say much this place speaks for itself! Me and my husband always get just the regular cheese burger, share a medium fry (ask for old fashion cut!) and a small shake with two cups for water and very much fills us up and we only spent around $8 all together! Amazing food and can make it cheap as well. But they also have huge burgers like the big ben. They have everything for everyone!

Staying in La Quinta Inn and Suites here in Layton, this place is in the same parking lot, finally I decided to tried it. Ordered the pork with broccoli and spice apples with corn bread, my husband ordered ribs with spice apples and mac & cheese, wasn't impressed with my pork, was dry, broccoli as so good, corn bread as well, apples were ok, but my husband's pork ribs were awesome! Ordered a brownie with chocolate and whipped cream was soooooo good! Best brownie that I've ever eaten! Overall, was a good place to have great ribs with god sides, great brownies, but they need to work a little bit to make the pulled pork moist and with more flavor!

Flat out the best burger in all of Utah. Well worth the hour drive from Utah County. Fresh cut fries and hand battered onion rings along with a huge burger with circular bacon - what more could you ask for? Highly recommended

Bison burgers are very good--best burger I've tried there. Meat is very tender and seasoned well. Compared to the cafe on Antelope Island that sells buffalo burgers, they're twice as good and almost just half the price. Elk burgers are pretty good, but not as juicy and tender. Hamburgers are good, but the buns are huge compared to the meat they put on it. I will always get a bison burger every time I go there and probably never try another hamburger--not because the hamburgers are bad, but just because the bison burgers are just better.

My review is based solely on the milkshakes. We ordered 3 milkshakes: vanilla with extra malt (which was an extra charge), cookies and cream, and strawberry. The vanilla milkshake that we were charged extra for had no hint of any malt taste whatsoever. The fact that we paid extra for it and they inadvertently left it out really irked me. The other 2 milkshakes tasted great but were so thick they were more like a soft serve version of ice cram than shakes. In their defense the restaurant was very busy and had many patrons waiting for food orders. I would like to go back on my next visit and try the burgers because I hear they are exceptional.

We drive from Denver to Seattle every few years and stop here even when not hungry. Love the fry sauce and big cheese Ben. The buns are addicting. If I could run off with a pack of them I would!

My first trip to the Burger Bar. I ordered the Big Ben Bacon Cheeseburger, Fries, and a Lemonade. The patty was OK. Not much flavor on it's own. I like my burger patties to be fairly thin, but this one was almost too thin. But it was almost six inches in diameter. Hardly even noticed the cheese. 2.5 starts. The bun was great. Just soft enough that it becomes part of the whole gestalt of the burger, not a separate entity. That's the way I them. 4.5 stars. The bacon was unique. It was cut pancetta-style, but had the flavor of regular smoked bacon. They were barely acceptable in thickness, but the three rounds were enough to cover the entire patty. 4 stars. The burgers are topped only with the house fry sauce, pickles, and some shredded lettuce. You have to ask for ketchup, mustard, tomato and onion. You also have to ask for extra napkins. They don't give out enough with your order. 1.5 stars. The fries were very good. They had a nice texture, and the serving was plentiful. You can make a special request for fresh cut fries, but I prefer the standard frozen fries. They crisp up better. The fries needed salt, and I had to ask for it. 3.5 stars. The fry sauce was really good, but the one container they give you only gets you through half the order. You have to pay for extra, which is a pet peeve of mine. 2 stars. They serve Minute Maid Lemonade. 3 stars. The Burger Bar is an institution and has a long and illustrious history. It's a true burger 'stand' in that there are no tables, and you have to eat your burger standing up. There are a few concrete benches, or you can eat in your car. Still, I do like the old school feel of the place. 3 stars. 2.5 + 4.5 + 4 + 1.5 + 3.5 + 2 + 3 + 3 = 24 \ 8 = 3 stars

Keep in mind, before you go be aware that it's a burger stand. They have no tables and chairs just a parking lot... With that said, here is my review: Everything is cooked to order. We had the double cheese Big Ben and it was delicious! The bun is nice and big, fresh fries and onion rings and a chocolate malt. I have no complaints. If I lived in the area I would visit regularly. Yum!

What is it about Buffalo burgers, bacon, cheese and fries that makes you think its a good idea you cancelled your cholesterol test tomorrow and not even care? Wait, hold on. The server never refilled my water. The concrete benches were chilly on the derriere. They didn't have even 3.2 beer. They really have been around since your mom and dad came here with your grandparents. Oh, sorry, this is a burger stand that probably in the 60's had girls on roller skates serving at your car window. Bringing back the roller servers is the only thing you could improve here today. This place is a throwback to simpler times. How did you find Roy, Utah back then without a smart phone? Heard from a friend who went with that the Elk burger was good. The buffalo burger was delish. The kids weren't thrilled with the special sauce on their burgers but they wolfed that thing down, and the fries and the chocolate shake all good. The vanilla shake tasted like it had sprite in it--we'll pass next time. All in all, a fun ride north from SLC back in time to the Burger Bar is a great thing to do on a warm summer evening. A definitely positive destination for a date.

This place has THE BEST fries ever. Best fried mushrooms. Best veggie burger and fish filet. Best service. Best shakes. I never regret going there. I hope they're around forever.

SUPER GROSS! They changed their fries and they are NASTY now. If I had known that, I would have gotten the onion rings instead. Stay away from the disgusting excuse for fries.

This place is okay. If you are looking for fast food and are tired of the same old scene then the Burger Bar is a nice change. I had the buffalo burger, fries, and a root beer float. The burger was good, especially the REAL tomato slice, that I understand comes from a local garden. The fries were okay, and the float was good. I will return because I must try the elk burger.

I don't know how I missed yelping this place, burger bar was the only dining out we did when I was a kid growing up in the early 70's, my parents would load us all in the station wagon and would get everyone the baby ben, fries and water. Luckily being a big kid I soon graduated to the big ben and big sea ben.(My parents were what other Utahns would call thrifty and non Utahns would call cheap) After a long separation I've been able to eat here again every few months and it really hasn't changed. Quality wise it's probably only 3 stars after all it is just a greasy hamburger place but the cool factor and the fact that its survived this long is worth another star. They did have a location in Layton and one on the northwest side of St George for awhile but sadly neither of those made it. Compared to Icebergs this place is much better. Almost forgot to mention the shakes. The shakes are always 5 star here.

I have never visited any place featured on Diners, Drive-in & Dives, so while on a road trip to Yellowstone, I forced my husband to stop here because I was so excited to find a place that Guy recommended and had better than okay reviews on Yelp. We ended up camping in Ogden, so this was only a quick skip from there and it all worked out. Husband got the Big Ben, I had the Buffalo Burger and the kids had kid's meal cheeseburgers. I even threw in an order for the onion rings because I kept reading on here about how great they were. I guess I missed the point about how great this place was supposed to be. We arrived at 7:30 pm and the wait time was almost 30 minutes to get our food. Husband raved about the Big Ben, he was especially fond of the bun and portion sizes, but I've had way better Buffalo Burgers. Also, we got SO many fries that we could barely put a dent in them. Not necessarily a bad thing, but when you order onion rings on top of all of that, well, it's just a waste. Not to mention, those onion rings were flat out disgusting...dripping with oil yet so crispy that it was dry. The batter kept falling off every ring and I ended up eating soggy onions. So disappointed. Kids hated the fry sauce, despite being so excited to try it...even I didn't like it too much and I really love new stuff to dip my fries in. I guess the Californian-Ranch-Lover in me can't accept fry sauce for what it is. All in all, 25% of us loved the place, 75% of us could do without. Also, make sure you're nowhere near the speaker when someone is on it calling out orders...so loud when I was walking by it to order that my ears started ringing. Also, parking lot was very full, ended up parking in the empty lot across the street. So sad that this was my first place to visit off of DD&D....made me hate Guy for it.

I know there are better burgers in the world, but the Big Ben will always be #1 for me. You just have to eat it and you will know what I am talking about, there is just something perfect about it.

Love this place. The double Ben & Onion rings are my favorite. They get very busy and can get slow though so try not to go during "peak" hours. I just wish they were open Sundays.

YES. I visited this place while with my cousins while they lived in Utah, and it was literally one of the best things I have ever eaten. We sat on the curb and ate it after returning from Antelope Island State Park, and it more than satisfied my hunger. It was so amazing. The burger was just insanely fabulous. My dad even took pictures of his. You know good when my dad takes pictures of the food. I wish I had this place at home!!!

The meat patties are half the size of the bun, so you have to get a double patty to get any kind of satisfaction for size. Besides the size, the flavors are very, meh. Not great. I would not recommend this place. I've been several times thinking that maybe I just caught them on a bad day. Nope, everytime I've been it's sub-mediocre food. I truly don't understand why there's always such a long line at this place.

This place was featured on Diner's and Drive-ins. If the weather is nice then it's a nice place for lunch. If not then, you're eating in your car. Unfortunately if the weather is nice the line will be way long around noon and 6. The burgers are very very good. Way better than a chain burger place. If the

The bread was delicious but the meat to bread ratio was not right. The fries are yummy. Ask for old fashioned fries or you do not get fresh cut. I did not love the fry sauce. I think they use miracle whip instead of mayo. The taste was off. The shakes looked yummy. I love DDD which is why I went here. If I go back I would get a double to improve the ratio.
