I really like Mooyah! Someone told me about this place so I decided I wanted to try it out. I came and have continued coming since! You get to pick how you want your burger ranging from single or double patties to with or without cheese. You can choose white or wheat bun or wrapped in lettuce. Then you have a whole slew of veggies and sauces that you can add onto your burger for free. It's $3.99 more to create a combo out of your burger which is a bit expensive but the fries are delicious. They bake their buns fresh every day which adds a cool twist to their hamburgers. They offer gluten free buns as well upon request. My favorite hamburger is the double cheeseburger on a wheat bun with lettuce, grilled onions, sautéed mushrooms, and onion strings. And put some Mooyah sauce on there with ketchup and mustard. They also have delicious shakes that are made out of real ice cream and you can choose which toppings are blended into it. This place is all about you and how YOU want it which is why I like it so much! So go ahead, go to Mooyah! You won't regret it!

I will be the first person to admit that I"m very picky when it comes to my burgers, fries, and shakes. Usually even a bad restaurant or fast food place will get one of those three right. Mooyah somehow managed to miss all three attempts at greatness. The fries were soggy and way too salty. The burger was dry and cold. The shake was runny and flavorless. All three elements of my meal were woefully disappointing. I'm going to give it two starts because the service was still decently fast and I will try it again. Maybe I just went on an off day.

If you're watching your caloric intake, it would be best to watch it far, far away from here. The burger's patty is soft. The homemade bun is spongy and tasty. The fries glisten with oil. My wife decided to try a salad, and I think it was deep fried. There were onion strings, and breaded chicken and bacon and dressing. The shake was small. I like that. I don't need a half gallon of shake. But it was dense! The staff was nice, but didn't quite have their act together. Doors were locked, ordering was a chore, stuff was slow. I hope that will improve with time.

These burgers are extra greasy and priced in line with JCB's, which are way overpriced. At least Fuddruckers and Training table had just right and fresh burgers. The French fries were way overcooked and best of all it only took about 15 minutes to order, pay for and get my order with only three customers in the store. I can officially cross this wreck off my bucket list. In my opinion, which yelp is all about, go to Red Robin. Cheaper, better burgers and all you can eat fries. With table service to boot.

Had this one on the radar for quite a while and even though I had to sort of force the issue a bit, I finally managed to make it in. Quick and dirty is that Rod S., as usual, is on the money. This one does have a very good "burger" taste to it and like Five Guys, does not use frozen patties. In fact, this place is very reminiscent of Five Guys, with the addition of things like shakes and with the fries coming from frozen. I really don't care about fries in general, fresh or not, so this made no difference to me. I did find this notably more expensive than Five Guys. I also found it a lot slower. Another thing I disliked, despite them also having Coke Zero and basically the same soda selections as most Five Guys, is the tiny straws they had. The one I had poked maybe an inch over the top of the lid, which was inconvenient at best. Bacon was pre-cooked, but acceptable. The really bad thing about this was, since I took it to go, they wrapped it. This sogged up the bun a great deal and when I opened it, it looked like someone had put it in the bathtub for a long, long time first. It tasted good overall, more or less like a burger should, but that part was obnoxious. To close the comparison to Five Guys, this one is not an equal and Five Guys continues its reigning streak as my favorite chain burger. Would I go to Mooyah again? Probably, but I wouldn't try to take it to go. Given how borderline unreasonably slow they were in actually preparing the food, it also wouldn't be unless I had some solid time at hand.

I consider myself a burger connoisseur. At any given restaurant I visit, if a burger is on the menu I'll try it. That being said, Mooyah didn't blow my mind yet it didn't disappoint me either. Upon walking in, the brand new interior was refreshing and well kept. Standard order line and plenty of places to sit. The menu is fairly simple, with plenty of add on options for your burger. I had the Mooyah burger on a wheat bun with applewood bacon. The bun is probably my favorite part. Delicious, I think home made, and very soft. The burger itself is pretty greasy. Like, not a little greasy but really greasy. This almost detracts from the flavor a little, but I didn't come here for healthy food. Bacon is real, and it's good. Overall, the burger is pretty similar to a smash burger or something you would find at five guys. It definitely isn't the most unique of tastes. The fries are nearly identical to five guys but probably not as good. Mine were a little too greasy to the point where they were soggy and wilted. And the worst part about all of this, which isn't horrible, is the price. My basic single burger with bacon combo came to $11.42. I think that's a little pricy considering what I'm getting. Overall, Mooyah's doesn't suck. Give it a shot - it may become your new favorite.

Great food and atmosphere. Buns were fresh and delicious almost as if they were homemade. My wife had a turkey burger and gluten free bun. This was excellent as well. High quality meat fresh condiments and awesome fries. My 4 year old even ate is grilled cheese and he's very picky. Close in comparison to 5 guys but better! And I LOVE 5 guys! Jyst found a new favorite burger joint!

The messiest burger I have ever had in my life. Don't go here if you want to look dignified at all while eating. The cheese slid off the patty, the toppings fell off, sauce and grease dripped the whole time I was eating, and even the patty itself came crumbling apart. Taste was just average.

3.7 Let me just say... EXPENSIVE... but DELICIOUS!. I was pleasantly surprised with this little place with a weird name. The name... dub step TF. I think I have go with my gut on this one... Mooyah you are the test tube baby of in n out, smashburger, and five guys. You have the prices of the former two, and it seems like you are trying to simplify the menu like in n out, and use quality ingredients. But you failed, which is alright sweethearts dont worry... just be yourself! The burger is just so juicy and tasty, and the bun is its perfect compliment. You have so many toppings to choose from and you really cant go wrong mixing them all. I got me some jalapenos and man did it hit the spot!! but it costs 5.50 for a cheeseburger. French fries... surprisingly tasty even though im pretty sure i got the bottom of the barrel... fresh and a nice little zing of taste, and PS a medium is quite a lot of freakin fries... you only need a small for one person. Guess what ELSE!!! they give you the little sauces for free. I asked for ranch and it was so delicious with those fries. What else is there to say... i was not disappointed. THE VERDICT: guess what... it exceeded expectations. The burger was so juicy and I just wish my sweet little guy could be itself. But hey if taking some of the best ideas from other companies (benchmarking, thanks school) is what makes you great well... so be it, thus saith the Lord.

I love their burgers. They are so good! They have fresh ground beef that wasn't frozen or came pre made into a patty. You see them put the portion of beef on the grill and press it into a patty. They let you pick every topping on your burger down to the sauces and you can add as many as you want for no extra charge! It's delicious. :) They also have really delicious fries and the buns they cook each day are so good too! Everything is great there. The price to make your burger into a combo is kind of a lot but for the fries and drink it doesn't make them any more expensive than going to another sit down burger place. You need to try them!

Ok so burgers are burgers. Especially chain burgers. I've never had a chain burger blow my mind or make me want to get on my knees or anything. I mean, they're good but then I feel gross and greasy and that's not something I'm about in my life. Mooyah burgers has a nice, chill vibe. The menu is simple for simpletons like me and it's got lots of options to put on the burger. It was good, don't get me wrong. But it was also super juicy and wet and fell apart within like 3 bites. I liked the flavors of the veggies/sauces I put on my sandwich but it was so greasy and juicy and wet (ok this is getting dirty). The sweet potato fries were SO CRISPY and I loved them. So if you like it wet and greasy, this is your place to be. THEY HAVE A CHALKBOARD WALL THO.

Decent food but really slow (even on nights that are not busy at all).. Great atmosphere. The fry sauce & sweet potatoe fries are good and the shakes are great, though they sometimes forget to make them with your order. Close to some other great places as well!

PROS: Great food. A+. The meat and toppings (of which there are many options) are delicious. I'm especially always a fan of multiple cheese choices. Fries are solid. Buns are homemade. Prices are a little high, but not bad. The places is clean, and service is prompt and friendly.. The menu also includes other options like shakes, salads, and hot dogs, so there's some variation. CONS: For the price, portions are a bit small. I'm gonna make the obligatory Five Guys comparison, because it seems that their model is along the same lines. (They even have the peanuts, and bags of potatoes laying around.) But Five Guys is FAR more generous with their helpings, especially on the fries. Also, their habit of all yelling "Welcome to Mooyah" in unison every time a customer walks through the door is really annoying. I'm hoping it was just a grand opening gimmick. Last complaint, no fry sauce dispensers. I'm not even a native Utahn, but I've kind of gotten attached to the stuff and it's bizarre that I have to wait in line to ask for some. OVERALL: I'm not sure this place is gonna edge out Five Guys for me, which I was admittedly hoping it would, since it's closer than driving to Orem. Just a little too expensive for slightly too little food. But it's very, very good. I'll be back and wish them well in the meantime.

I'm not a burger person. At all. I'd much rather have a hot dog. But I was on lunch with my coworker and she decided she wanted a burger. The menu was simple, similar to five guys, you pick the amount of meat, and all the toppings you want. I chose the wheat bun, and in addition to normal burger toppings I added jalapeños and the spicy ranch. I upgraded the combo to sweet potato fries instead of regular fries and got a shake instead of a soda. All of it was very tasty. My burger was actually delicious, which I don't ever say about a burger! Service was great. Everyone from the person taking the orders to the person giving our food to us was friendly. Both my coworker and I decided we'd definitely go back.

5 star for service, but let's be real - it's the food that counts. Fries and patty were EXTREMELY greasy. The patty was thin with burnt flakes on the edges and the fries reminded me of the over priced frozen bags you can buy at the grocery store. I would give it a higher rating if it weren't so expensive.

I so wanted to not like it. You have to admit the name is lame. I thought it would be another local mess that caters to broke college students. It turns out that I misjudged it. Everything is little superior here---bun, meat, fries. It's as if they borrowed from the five guys concept and took it up a notch. The bun is certainly better and the sweet potato fries have no rival. Still hate the name.

First timer, great atmosphere, great service. I liked the wheat bun option, but I didn't like having to pay extra for cheese on my burger when the price is already a little higher here than other burger places. Delicious! Soft, juicy patty, the fries have tasty seasonings. I would recommend having a signature dipping sauce. I'll be back!

Burgers are good but the milkshakes are horrible. Definitely not made with real ice cream. It tasted like plastic.

My wife I and I decided to try Mooyah, and we were not too impressed. The customer service was great - The cashier was more then delightful, and they brought our food to our seat for us. It is pricey, just like other reviews have stated. But to be fair, they are going for the gourmet burger market, and do a decent job at it. The facitlity is clean and looks good - its not too loud and is a good place to go sit. Everything else is great, but the food is just alright. The shakes are on the better side, but the burgers just taste like other burgers. Ours in particular were exceptionaly salty, along with the fries and even the fry sauce. I felt like everything was very salty. But even if it wasn't salty, other burger places can beat this one out pretty easy. Its not a place we would make a point going back to, but it wasnt horrible.

Meh...it's good. But nothing to scream about. I would prefer Five Guys. However, they do have whole wheat buns here, which I was definitely a fan of, and the staff is extremely animated, which is a fun touch.

Holy cow this place is good! It's like Five Guys but better. The difference is the selection of buns that are made fresh. The fries are cut daily and are awesome. Great shakes, too. Best burger place in Provo.

I got the loaded garden salad and my husband got the moooyah burger with fries. For those two things it was about $20. I was expecting something more grand and fresh for the salad. A lot of lettuce but not very many of the toppings it comes with. The avocado slices were slightly brown. Some of the lettuce mix was wilted and the tomatoes a bit mushy. My husband liked his burger and fries, but a bit pricy for the quality. Just a regular burger.

Delicious burgers with high quality ingredients. You select a base burger and choose your own toppings. While the burger was good, it was literally dripping grease all over the tray. The oreo shake I got was pretty good, but very runny. I would have also liked some dipping sauce for the sweet potato fries. Overall, not bad and reasonably priced, but could improve in some areas.

Reviews don't do it justice. This place is amazing. Better than 5 Guys. My new favorite burger joint.

Good friendly service. Fast. The burger toppings were plentiful. A little pricey. I had a double burger $7, combo would have been $11. Make sure to ask them to take it easy on the salt. There was enough salt on my burger to choke a horse.

Decided to try this place because it's near my house and wow is it unnecessarily expensive. I paid over $7 FOR JUST THE BURGER NOT EVEN A MEAL. I mean literally all I got was a cheeseburger with bacon on it. And the worst part was that it wasn't even that good nor filling. I was super hungry so I got it on my way home and when I got home and unwrapped it it was super messy and the bun was weirdly small for the burger. Of course I finished it anyway because it was hungry but when I did I was STILL hungry afterwards. It was so not worth it. In fact if you're looking for good burgers in Provo just go to JCWs. For $7 you get a bigger burger or cheeseburger, and fries and a drink so at least with them you're paying a lot to get a lot. Plus they also offer a bunch of different burgers and shakes and stuff. Sorry if I sound like an ad I just know because I used to be a cashier there the summer before last.

Great burgers is they make it their way, awesome burgers if you tell them lite on the seasoning. Food is fresh but more on the expensive side..... Great for a date night, but expensive to take the family out to dinner. Family of 8 was around $60 and 4 of them were under 10.

Pretty good burger and fries. Slightly expensive for what you get but its better than the standard fare fast food joints. I got the double with cheese and grilled onions and mushrooms with their Mooyah sauce (their version of special sauce/thousand island variation) on a wheat bun. It's a good, greasy, messy burger; you know the type. Tasted my friends sweet potato fries. Really good. Not the absolute best you can find but very tasty. Standard fries are very good too (skins intact, salted well), I liked them a lot.

  • Tyler E.

Way overpriced and nothing spectacular. We ordered a couple different burgers and shakes. The shakes themselves were over $3/each and on the smaller side for that price. The service was great and pleasant but I wouldn't say the price justifies the meal.

First time trying this place. I ordered the buger wrapped in lettuce. Spouse had cheese burger with sweet potato fries. Reminded me of smash burger, but not as good. I think if I had peeled some of the lettuce off, I would have tasted the meat better. A little skimpy on the sauce. I put some of their mooyahs rub on the burger and fries. It was tasty. I really like the sweet potato fries. They were cooked just right. A little pricy for what you get. I dont think the buger patty is over 1/3 of an ounce, because its aweful thin when they smash it. Over all my experience was good, but I didn't leave anxious to come back. I think I like JCW'S and Smash Burger better.

My wife and I live within walking distance of here, it's a new burger joint. We gave it a shot. It was excellent, the moo yah burger was delicious and it was made fresh very quickly! However the only reason it is not getting a 5th star is because for a combo for the both of us, the price was well over $20.00 which is a bit steep for how much food we actually got.

  • Clay A.

Walked in for the first time and was stunned at the pricing, over $10 for a cheeseburger combo! Then, I didn't want to have to choose every component that would be on my burger. Hence there was a slow line due to the slow order process. The burger was awesome, crisp seered goodness on the outside and hot juicy beef on the inside. The quality made me accept some of the price. Then, I realized I could of had double beef for only 70 cents more, bummer. Price for double cheeseburger is $6.39 plus $3.99 for a drink and fries. Single burger is $4.99 and double is $5.69, add cheese for 70-cents. I might be back when feeling rich. Join the text club and get a free burger with drink and fries purchase at mooyah.com/rewards . Update 5/28/15: Hit up Mooyah on the BOGO national burger day offer, and it was excellent. The best burger I have experienced in quite some time...a double burger seared together with pepperjack cheese, a crunchy carmelized combo of cheese and fresh beef! It was awesome. Mooyah raises to 5 stars!

Fresh made burgers and fries.. The service was fast. Kinda pricey, but since the food and the services are great, I don't mind paying the extra.

A 5 Guys concept with a little extravaganza added. Good meat, quality toppings, great wheat bun and sweet potato fries. The advertised photos have double the meat, but what restaurant doesn't lure you in with false advertisement?

    (4)
  • Gregory R.

Considering the size of the burger it is a bit on the pricey side. The bun was average so was the meat. For that matter so were the fries. There was nothing special about the food at all I might go back if all the other burger places were closed. But thats not likely so, i probably wont go back.

Great food! Easily the best burger I've had to date, Mooyah is a bit expensive, but the quality of their food shows why.
