As far as street tacos go, this is the place. They have a huge variety of tacos and so far none have disappointed. I really like the Korean pork and the buttermilk fried chicken. I love the idea of unique toppings on each taco. They certainly don't go with just cilantro and onions which I love. The service has been quick and friendly and I love supporting local restaurants. I will continue to go back and would highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a great taco. As far as price goes you are looking at about $2.50 a taco.

This place was a 3.8 so I'm rounding up. Hipster taco establishment, not necessarily authentic although the meat was incredible. Inside is concrete floors, warehouse feel, etc. Menu is large, a little too large I think. They may be better off choosing their 6 best tacos rather than offering 12. A lot of first time patrons spent a great deal of time in line trying to make up their minds. Once we decided on what we were getting it was pretty fast. I got the street car salad with grilled chicken. It was ok, not terribly impressed but it appears that they shine when it comes to the tacos as their name suggests. My husband ordered the street car tacos (1 achiote pork and 1 steak asada). The pork was incredibly juicy, spicy, savory. The steak was also good though paled in comparison. What was missing for me was the bells and whistles of a traditional taqueria. Sour cream, cilantro, guacamole. They also could have give you two tortillas for each taco as their was plenty of meat to fill more than one. Prices were reasonable, service was good.

Yes, the food is as good as the pictures. I had the korean BBQ Pork and the Achiote pork. Very unique tacos and very good. My friend loved them so much he ended up eating 6 of them! I'm definitely coming back to this place! Each taco is about $2.50 each. Super cheap and super good!

This place is so freaking good. You need to eat here. Now. 3 2 1 Now The buffalo chicken taco was soooo good, but so were all the other tacos we had. Its not really an "authentic Mexican tacos" type place. Is more of a modern fusion take on tacos, at least the ones we ate. But we loved every taco we had. Definitely coming back here. Definitely.

Lime cilantro shrimp taco - pretty good. Korean pork taco - let's just say I was moaning. Side of mac and cheese - surprisingly delicious and spicy. Service - friendly, knowledgeable and they threw in a free dessert. Don't know if I'll ever find myself hungry and in Provo again but I would like to try more from their menu.

If you've you've ever had actual Mexican food outside of Utah I highly recommend you don't come here. It's an Americanized, subway style restaurant. The food isn't fresh and the food is hardly what everyone else in the world considers "street tacos". On the other hand, if you're not cultured and like American food, this place would be a good fit. Of course that is if $2.50 for a small taco is a reasonable price for you.

I came here with high expectations due to the reviews. However, I was let down. The meat was ok, but the tortillas ripped apart immediately. To me, a great taco means having a tortilla that can withstand the toppings. I do like the variety and the attempt to step out the box. If you want a good taco with quality meat and tortillas, brassas is your place. Not to Mention, my to go order was butchered. Half my order was wrong...

Great place! Had the chicken buffalo taco and carribean pork taco with Mexican rice. My favorites were the chicken buffalo and the rice.

This was a great find for us! Here is the deal...it's not a Mexican restaurant and it's not an Asian restaurant....it's a well seasoned well made taco, enchilada fusion place. The won ton nachos are the best thing with the Mexican chicken taco being a very close second place. The tacos on the American part of the menu sound ok but why order that when there are sooooo many other creative choices? 2 tacos per person with nachos and you are full

I really liked this restaurant. Some of the reviews say that the taocs are small, but that's what street tacos are, they're on a small tortilla. I ordered the taco combo and picked the Korean BBQ and Buffalo chicken tacos and the Mac as a side. It was really good and it hit the spot. I was planning to take a photo of my meal, but totally forgot. I will be going back soon, so when I do, I will post/add a photo onto my review.

These were good tacos. Not the best, but pretty good. Service was friendly and pretty quick. Restaurant was clean and had good energy. If you like tacos, you should check this place out for yourself.

Okay let's just get this out of the way. This is not an authentic actual street taco place. Like, yeah, they serve tacos "street vendor" style, but the flavors are literally all over the place and there's nothing really authentic Mexican-y. I assumed from the talk around town that this would have traditional flavors such as al pastor or chorizo. They don't. They have hipster-y, new age-y tacos that I don't know if I can support with my love or money. I love tacos. I am all about the taco life and will eat almost any taco you put in front of me. But the tacos here were not good. I really did not like them whatsoever. I didn't think there was that many flavors of tacos to choose from, and they had such weird combinations that really didn't translate to "DELICIOUS GET IN MY MOUTH IMMEDIATELY" for me. I got the cascabel chicken taco and the buttermilk fried chicken taco with a side of chimichurri mac and cheese. The cascabel taco wasn't bad, which is probably why I gave this 2 stars instead of one. The buttermilk fried chicken taco however was so hard for me to eat. There was some sauce on it that honestly made me a little nauseated. The chimichurri mac & cheese was.... I can't describe it honestly. It was okay??? But also kind of gross? But still kind of good? This place... it's weird. They also use "metal trays" that are really just cookie baking sheets. Actually pretty clever. 2.5 stars now for clever usage of boring cookie baking sheets. I really didn't like this place, nor did I see how it lived up to the hype. HOWEVER, being the kind, loving, benevolent being that I am, I will most likely try to give this place a second chance.

I got the Chile Orange Shrimp after I sampled it and also sampled Thai Fried Chicken and Salted Cod Fritters. The Thai Fried Chicken is pretty spicy and I didn't want to be sweaty at work lol. And the Cod fish to me was all batter, not much fish. The staff is really nice, and was patient with me while I asked questions and decided. So I would say service is good. As for the food, I really like the dressing and sauces for everything that I sampled, by their salad I feel is a little blah. It's just lettuce, tortilla, jicama and some wonton crisp. No beans, no rice or tomatoes like how cafe rio does it. Maybe I shouldn't compare, but since the price is the same, I would expect it to have some what of the same substance. I would come back for the yummy flavors, but I just feel the salads lacked a little oomph to make it amazing. Hopefully this is construed as positive feedback. :)

Wow. Fantastic Tacos! A full assortment of interesting flavors. Good service, friendly staff. Try Thai Tacos if you like spicy. Korean for Asian flair without the spice My favorite the Buffalo! A dozen or so other interesting flavors as well.

Went there for the first time tonight. Cool set up with the option to eat outside. The fact that they have so many options like Mexican, Asian or American style tacos is cool, but at the same time it was kind of weird having your favorite Thai food or Korean BBQ wrapped up in a flour tortilla. On the up side, they definitely don't skimp you on the meat, which was fantastic. I got the Thai chicken, Korean BBQ & the pulled pork BBQ. The first two were super spicy. Again, good flavors, lots of meat, just the fact that they were wrapped in a tortilla didn't sit as well with my taste buds as I had hoped. Overall, decent experience. I'd recommend you try it at least once to see how you like it.

Great tacos. Lots of variety and flavors. Staff is fantastic and has wonderful suggestions. We tried 6 different ones. Buffalo chicken, Korean, Caribbean pork with pineapple, and. Carne asada. Mac and cheese unusual and really good--not kid friendly which the staff warned us about--thank heaven. Kids ate quesadillas, but they also have a taco with just cheese and ranch that is kid friendly.

  • Connor R.

I get the salads here almost everyday. My favorite is the buffalo chicken salad, but you can get any taco in salad form. Highly recommend this place!

  • Mark W.

Great for quick lunch or takeout--busy on weekend nights. Unique menu. I wouldn't call it Mexican, though they're serving tacos. The ingredients have always been fresh, meats savory. Malasadas? Whatever they are they are great.

  • Grub B.

I worship the cascabel chicken tacos, and their Mac n cheese is to die for. Best taco soup I've ever had as well. This places rules!

  • Monica T.

Delicious, delicious street tacos in a variety of wonderful and actually kind of exotic flavors? Check. Creative and tasty side dishes like nachos made out of Chinese noodles (like I've always wanted?) Check. A taco soup that isn't just one single soup but rather the ability to turn any taco INTO A FREAKING SOUP? CHECK! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD, even if they only have sweet tea (unsweetened 4eva, you guys!)

This place is awesome. The few reviews that give it only 1 or 2 stars are the ones who mentioned they only tried the tacos that weren't my favorite. So if you go, get the buffalo chicken, the BBQ pork, the chili shrimp. My husband and I tried the 12 tacos for 25 bucks. The meat was good in all of them. The Mexican chicken (can't remember the exact name of it) was slightly dry but still great flavors. All of the rest of them were awesome. The Mac n Cheese was some of my favorite I've had and the Mexican rice was good. It's true this place isn't regular street tacos like El Mexiquense . But that doesn't mean that they aren't amazing tacos. I like that they mix it up and do Asian Tacos, Mexican, vegetarian and American. This place is really awesome and I just wish I lived closer! 5 star tacos absolutely! Don't be deterred by the VERY few negative reviews and go form an opinion for yourself.

Eight adults and six young ones walked into 180 Tacos for the first time. One of us had read the reviews on Yelp and figured it was a good bet. Wow! Were those reviews right on! Great food, wonderful staff and pleasant environment! The menu was varied and delicious, without exception. There is nothing to compare it to in our own cities. Among the group who attended were cooks and "foodies," and they all were amazed with the variety of taste available. Congratulations, 180 Tacos.

After finding 180 closed a couple of times when we first found it on Yelp, we finally made it in during business hours. I had the salted cod fritters taco and the buttermilk fried chicken taco. Wow. The the chimichurri crema and street corn ranch sauces are excellent. My son had the salad and said it was very good. portions are as expected - street taco sizes - so you'll want to order more than you might think, but they were absolutely packed with flavors. Service was kind, yet aloof, and there is NO atmosphere in the place. Bland and mostly clean. I'll be back to try some of the Asian and Mexican flavors.

I was surprised by the bold flavors. Not only is there a lot of variety but also economical choices. I even brought my kids who enjoyed the hotter fare. One of my go to spots for date night.

This place was okay... But I was looking for authentic Mexican tacos. As far as Yelp goes, this place looks at first glance like a place that has legit Mexican tacos. The tortillas are the right size, and on the page it says "Mexican", but the selection of meat and style of tacos are VERY American. Standalone, the Tacos aren't bad... But they just aren't real Mexican, hence three stars. I had the buffalo chicken tacos, which were actually really good, I'd recommend them even. Idk. I just felt so deceived haha.

Really unique tacos and good flavors. Not your greasy street taco kind of place but I appreciate something different. Steak asada was the closest thing to a street taco, generous amount of meat but something was lacking. Fresh corn or flour tortillas was a nice option and they were pretty yummy. Service was very friendly and its a chill atmosphere. "Hipster tacos" best describes this place. :)

Just moved here and discovered 180 Tacos. Love their steak asada taco, achiote pork taco, korean bbq taco and chimichurri mac & cheese. Will def be eating here a lot :)

I'm honestly not sure why everyone is giving this place such good reviews. Maybe I just have different tastes than them. There are a few mitigating factors that may convince me to give it a second chance to see if they were just busy, but not unless the people in the group I'm getting food with wants to go there. Price: I guess it was reasonable, the tacos are small (street tacos), and the quality of ingredients seems to be reasonable for the price. Quality of food: Meh, they try some interesting combinations of ingredients, but the combination of flavors just doesn't work that well. if you're going to experiment with putting things on a taco then at least pick things that go well together. I only ordered two tacos and didn't even bother finishing either. I wasn't super hungry and neither was above average food. Service: Horrible, it took them forever to get us our food. The lady who took my initial order appeared bored and disinterested. She actually got on her phone while I was telling her which two tacos I wanted so I had to repeat myself. The guy manning the register was having trouble typing in the orders and getting the prices on the menu right, he may have been new, but that was very frustrating. In addition, they screwed up not just our order, but the orders of other people. Making tacos that nobody ordered or too few tacos, since it was busy, that meant that they quickly fell behind and one of the members of our group didn't get their tacos until the rest of us were almost finished eating. Mitigating factor: It was super busy, lots of people. I understand that when rushed, lots of places may turn out sub-quality product (I'm stretching here since all of the ingredients are pre-made). I also understand that means more mistakes and slower service. But the food quality and service quality were well below what I would have expected for any level of busyness.

At first glance I didn't think 180 tacos looked like much because the storefront is in a strip mall I rarely go to. I was feeling like tacos and glad I tried it. For the price, the tacos here are really good. There are lots of creative flavor combos and they're the perfect size to try several which is nice. The buffalo chicken tacos are great! Tips: -Get a few. The tacos are pretty small. -Don't double up on flavors. The buffalo chicken is my favorite but I couldn't eat two in a row. -If you're really hungry, either be ready to rack up the bill with lots of their menu items or pick something else.

So...I was in a hurry. I said, "dude. I'm in a hurry. How long does it take?" He says, "I can do 3 tacos in 2 mins." He was pretty close. First time here. Tacos were all good.

I eat at 180 at least once a week and I will continue to keep going here because of the amazing food and service. They're quick and very friendly! I have tried most everything and love all of it!

Went here for lunch recently, and at first I thought they were a bit pricey for their two taco combo, but they turned out to be really good and very filling. Lots of unique taco options to choose from, all look good and the ones I had (Mojo Roasted Pork and Steak Asada) were great.

Pretty yummy. Tacos could use a LITTLE bit more moisture though. I'd return. Well priced. Pros: Delicious, friendly staff Cons: No beer, Fountain drinks only

We love these yummy, unique street tacos! I loved their Korean BBQ Pork taco and the Steak Asada. Be sure to get their beans on the side... They are amazing!

Loved this place. Lots of different types of tacos to eat and you can change any of them into a soup or a salad. Cool idea. Also the day we went they had some sort of oriental nachos that blew my mind. It was the daily special though so I'm not sure if it is available every day. Definitely worth a visit!

Clearly, I'm going against the grain. But my experience was what it was: not so stellar. Let me say first that I went hungry, and because I've never eaten at 180 Tacos, nor heard anything about it whatsoever, I arrived with an open mind and empty stomach. I studied the menu and was a bit confused as to why I would want to "cross the streams" by mixing my Thai with my Mexican. Eventually, I got it: crossing the streams can be fun. I was trying to imagine the mixed flavor of Thai and Mexican, or American and Thai but couldn't quit see how those opposites(?) would be good together. But hey, when in Provo.... So I ordered one of their lunch specials: two tacos and a side. For my meat selection, I went with the steak, and for my side, Thai soup. It also came with a soft drink. I paid the cashier a little over $8 and when I looked down at the food on my tray, I wondered for a second if they'd forgotten something. Apparently the 180 Taco serving size was on par with the appetizer size of many other restaurants. I'm actually not a big eater. But I wondered if the reason they call themselves 180 Tacos is because you have to order that many if you want a full meal. And the cup of Thai soup had to be about 1/2 a cup of food...or less. As for taste? It was fine. I've had much better tacos from taco stands in downtown SLC. The atmosphere was alright, too. And luckily, Magelby's chocolate cake was a stone's throw away. With a slice of that goodness, what 180 Tacos lacked in quantity was made aright by the establishment next door. But in all, I spent nearly $12 for lunch. Where's the beef? Be sure to order the other 178 tacos!

  • Brock W.

Never in my life did I think two tacos would fill me up. Well, lets just say I've met my match. 180 Tacos is amazing! The tacos are packed with tons of ingredients! I got the pulled pork and the buffalo chicken. I was completely blown away! The pulled pork had a kick with it and I loved every bite. Buffalo chicken was in my opinion was perfection! I'll be back!

  • Mathew M.

3 stars, based off price and over all experience. Got 3 tacos, spicy Thai chicken was dry. Thai fish was also dry, the pork was okay and flavors meshed well. Really small tacos though for the price of 2.50 per and 2.75 for steak, yeah no! I'll pay that at bertos for double the size

  • Kristen J.

This place is good and worth a try but the novelty is wearing off for me because the last couple times I've been, the quality of the taco hasn't been as good/fresh. The meats haven't been as hot and fresh as usual. The place is clean. The service has never been bad. The prices are decent, although it seems the tacos have gotten a little smaller since the beginning. My favorites are the buffalo chicken, the chile orange shrimp, and the salted cod fritter. The Mexican ones leave a little to be desired flavor wise.

We wanted to like this more than we actually did. The concept is great, but the flavors need some refining. We each ordered three tacos: I had the Thai fried chicken taco, salted cod fritter taco and the portobello mushroom taco, she ordered the falafel, cascabel chicken, and shrimp tacos. There was a bit of an order mix up--which the staff was very prompt at correcting--though we didn't realize the entirety of the mix up until we were halfway through the meal. This meant that we had a buffalo chicken taco in place of the shrimp taco. The meat in the Thai chicken taco was a bit dry--perhaps a peanut or curry sauce would do it some good. It was also rather spicy without much flavor to go along with the spice. The cod fritters were good, but also kind of dry and large for the taco size. Perhaps a more oblong shape would fit the taco better? The mushroom taco was my favorite of the three and probably the only one I would actually order again. Wouldn't mind a little cotija cheese on that one! As for the three tacos that my girlfriend had, not getting one she ordered was unfortunate but not the end of the world. The buffalo chicken taco she accidentally got instead was ok, in her words "meh, and a little too saucy." The falafel taco was her favorite of the three, but she mentioned that the falafel balls could use a bit more seasoning. The cucumber yogurt sauce was quite tasty. Finally the Mexican chicken taco was also just ok, the carrots weren't very crisp and the meat was well flavored, but dry. Ultimately, this place has potential, but it didn't live up to it for us.

It's good for the price. Unique flavors, cheap and fast. Kid and family friendly. Kimchi, pork, steak and chicken we have tried a variety and pretty much liked them all. The employees are really nice and helpful.

  • Kristen S.

Have been here twice (second time to give a second chance) and I'm just not impressed. The flavors are everywhere, the tacos are over-sauced, and they are nothing like real, authentic street tacos. Don't waste your money here.

Liked the Asian Tacos better than their Mexican Tacos. This is a great addition to north Provo food scene even if you do have to make the trip there it out of the way.

This place rocks! I had the mojo tacos with the Mac and cheese. And I will definitely be back. My fiance had the shrimp tacos and a salad. She was just as pleased as I was. I woo us definitely recommend this

  • Kimberly B.

I went here based on Yelp's reviews but I was sorely disappointed with this place. Thanks yelpers :/ the tacos were very small for the $2.50 they cost. That would be acceptable if they tasted great, but they were only mediocre. I couldn't even finish my last taco. I got the achiote pork, the carne asada, and the buffalo chicken. My husband's shrimp taco was definitely the best, but still not worth the cost. We will not be returning.

I went here randomly because I was in the area and was quite surprised to find good tacos in the most Caucasian part of town! Right when you walk in, you get a sense of a very upbeat and clean restaurant with a very simple menu to choose from. The owner, I'm assuming, was there to help me through the menu and she let me know that most people usually get 3 tacos and get some fries with it. Which I would highly recommend I believe they were the garlic fries. I wouldn't necessarily get a side with 3 tacos unless I had a friend to share them with The 3 tacos that I got were the buffalo chicken, the fish one, and a steak one. They were all really good and flavorful. The buffalo chicken was good because the sauce was creamy and spicy. It wasn't overly runny or overly spiced. The fish taco was really good because the fried fish was crisp and quite tasty with just a bit of lime The steak one was a classic taco that you would come to expect from a great Mexican restaurant. Being from Los Angeles, I'm continually disappointed in the Mexican food that SLC, in general, has to offer. Call me spoiled/picky, but I honestly believe it's not hard to make a solid taco/burrito. And this place definitely hits the spot. Price: the tacos were a little pricey, at about $3/taco, but the quality of ingredients and great taste was worth it Final conclusion - I would def. go back because it reminds me of the tacos back home in los Angeles, but served in a much cleaner environment

wow, talk about a scam. the tortilla is about 3-4 inches wide. they toss on about three spoonfuls of food and charge you $2.50 + tax. I'd understand if it was high quality and really fancy, but this place is neither of those. what a joke!

  • Jean W.

This is exactly what Provo needs. 180 shoots for unique fusion flavors, and succeeds for the most part. First, it's totally affordable to eat here for lunch. For $6 plus tax, you can fill up on three little tacos packed with unique tastes, and for a little more you can get any taco combo made into a salad. The fresh flavor combinations are derived from Mexico, Asia, Carribean and American, with a few different (and tasty!) choices in each category. I've tried them all now, and they're all good. My strong favorite here, however, is the Chile Orange Shrimp. I get it every time. Respectable seconds are the Thai Fried Chicken and the Mojo Roasted Pork. My least favorite would be the Salted Cod, but lots of others love it. I keep telling myself that 'next time I'll get a salad' but, then, I can never resist the tacos. I really like the corn tortillas, and the taco creations are teetering on the border of delicious. There is a level of flavor missing for me, however. It's 90% there; just doesn't quite reach the gusto I always hope for with fusion flavors like this. They have 'value-packs' of to-go tacos, which sounds better and better to me for a weeknight dinner. This is a good menu that I hope to see expand or change as time goes on. Service is quick and efficient, and your food is ready for you by the time you get to the end of the counter and pay. A couple of semi-important tips: - The soda fountain drinks here are seriously pricey; and coincidentally their prices are not listed on the menu. Tacos - cheap: sodas - not so much. I skip it. - Small parking lot, and even smaller dining area. Weekday lunchtimes here are a free-for-all. Get the food to go, or wait in a very cramped area for a table.

This restaurant has great tacos. The spicy Thai are the best. The lines are long around lunch time but the food is worth it. Not over priced or pretentious at all.

You'll see from my other Yelp reviews that I'm kind of a taco connoisseur. I grew up in the southwest and traveled in Mexico. A really great taco is probably my favorite thing in the world. To be completely honest, part of me hates the "creative" taco trend that this place embodies. For me, a taco should be simple and beautiful. Cook the filling perfectly, don't get fancy with the seasoning, make the tortilla and salsa from scratch, keep the garnishes to a minimum (onion, cilantro, lime), and you've got perfection. I tend to cringe when I read "orange shrimp" or "fried chicken" on a taco menu. Why ruin a good thing? With that said, I have to admit that 180 tacos are VERY TASTY. Their tacos are not "authentic"(nor do they claim to be) but they do the little things right. They make their own tortillas and make them the right size (not too big), their sauces and fillings are fresh, and the flavors compliment each other well. Do I wish they'd just stick to carnitas, asada, pastor, etc. and do it really well? Yes. But they may have turned this taco purist to the dark side by making such delicious food. "Creative" tacos can be good too.

I absolutely love this place. Every item on the menu is delicious and made from healthy ingredients. You must try: - cascabel chicken tacos or salad - buffalo chicken tacos or salad - the beans - the malasadas The white haired guy who runs the place is a class act too. My favorite lunch or dinner spot in Provo hands down. UPDATE: If you haven't tried their brunch on Saturday mornings you're missing out. They have a variety of egg tacos, bread pudding french toast, and cinnamon malasadas. It's all amazing!!

  • Jason B.

I think I've tried 15 varieties, and I found 1 I'm not too keen to order again. And therein lies the rub: the other 14 were amazing, and it makes it impossible to decide! Now I have to order a dozen tacos, and the assume 1 guy with 12 tacos is an order "to go". It's not. Stop assuming.

I love a good, dirty street taco. The kind where you don't know what part of the animal you're eating or even what kind of animal! This is not one of those places, but it is just as good. The tacos were enormous and full of meat. I can typically eat 3-5 dirty tacos in one sitting, but I couldn't finish three from here. They have an extremely diverse menu (with lots of gluten free choices for those who can't handle that spicy wheat) and they are all very well done. The tortillas are house made (the staple of a street taco) and their garnishes are very fresh. I got their dessert choice as well and it did not disappoint. The ONLY criticism I have would be that they were nearly out of ice due to the high volume of customers. If they offered a horchata option this would easily be rectified. Fantastic place, good food, great service and affordable. Go eat here now.

If you know what to order you will leave impressed. Stick with the buffalo chicken and the shrimp tacos. The rest of the tacos are ok, the two I mentioned will wow you.

I love this place!! My favorite taco is the Salted Cod Fritters- so so good. The Mac and cheese is also surprisingly delicious. I could eat here every day.

Fun little place. Good concept. For those--like me--who aren't always able or willing to pay "gourmet taco" prices (which is really a silly concept, as Mexican food is always about heart, soul, family and the home, festivals, cheap street tacos, etc.), this is a good alternative. When I went we had the Korean taco and the Carribbean taco (if I remember correctly), and I liked their "fake kimchi" (though I would have liked real kimchi better). Another note: we went late at night, and while I could tell that the meat might have been a tad more juicy earlier in the day, the veggies were surprisingly relatively fresh. So, overall, a good place for taco fusion at good prices.

I've had a few misses here, but mostly hits. If you're looking for casual, culinary creativity, this is the joint. The simple menu, quick ordering process and ordinary bench seating make this one of my favorite fast- food substitutes. My favorite tacos are the salted cod fritter, the kimchi, and the asada. Order something different every time you go.

You have to get the achiote pork and chili orange shrimp tacos. They're by far the best! The Saturday brunch is phenomenal. You can get any taco with scrambled eggs in it (I recommend the buffalo chicken). Also, you have to try the French toast that's on the brunch menu. The feel is very modern and it's always clean. Me and my coworkers order pick-up a lot for work lunches and dinners and they always get our orders right. They're very fast and always nice and professional. A must-go-to place in Provo. The reason why I don't give it 5 stars is because other than the achiote pork, the chili orange shrimp, and the buffalo chicken, the other tacos are just ok. They're not bad and even worth trying, but not nearly as good as the above mentioned.

Great place for tacos! They even have a vegetarian option, although I recommend they add a second choice (like rice/bean/avocado, or soyriso.). You can choose flour or corn tortillas, I had the corn and they held together nicely. They features gluten free choices on their menu. Their Mac & cheese is to die for!!!! I would definitely eat here again! Nice job @180tacos!

For real these tacos are WORTH IT. My wife got the pulled pork tacos and they are a game changer. The carne Asada tacos were also awesome. Our friends got the shrimp peanut sauce tacos and loved them too --at this point these guys were batting .1000. With that said, The tacos are the right choice on the menu. There are other options but just go with the tacos if u want 2 be happy. I got the buffalo salad and this is my reason for a 4/5, it was underwhelming. It felt a little naked and had a bunch of pickled stuff on the top that I wasn't really diggin'. Ultimately this place is really good-- go here, get the tacos, and get ur party on!!

Best tacos around! I like their buttermilk tacos, and I also like the Thai tacos. The Thai tacos are pretty spicy, but worth it! All the tacos have unique flavor that are so fresh! They also have a food truck around town that is super fun to go to.

Thank you fellow Yelpers!!! This place is da bomb! We tried a large assortment of tacos by getting the 12 for $25 street tacos. Highly recommend!! Hint: Caribbean tacos are yummy!! The Asian orange shrimp was my favorite! High quality! Mmm!!!

Delicious! My husband and I ordered five tacos and just tried a bite or two of all of them. A great way to have lots of different flavors in one meal!

This place is good, but to me not quite five star material. They have a selection of salads and tacos categorized by regional flavor profiles. I was happy to see some more unusual ingredients for a taco joint (jicama, chimichurri, salted cod, etc), and the prices are more than reasonable. I couldn't decide between salad and tacos so I got a side salad and tacos. The side salad at $3 is almost entrée sized, and has a variety of interesting veggies. It was fresh and yummy. The tacos will run you $2 a pop. I chose the salted cod and some mexicanish chicken one. The flavors were good, but my one major complaint here was that everything was premade and in those little metal bins. My salted cod fritters had been fried some time ago, so although crispy, were not hot. Same with the chicken--a bit dry and not hot. A little more freshness made to order and this place could reach its full potential. My other minor complaint was the service. The girls working were nice enough once we got helped, but it seemed like everything was a little unprofessional. It was dinner hour, and the place was packed, yet several employees were sitting eating. some of our food had been forgotten so it was frustrating to watch people sitting around. All around- I recommend this place. There's so many different flavor options it's sure to please just about anyone.

BUFFALO CHICKEN TACO IS WHERE IT IS AT. Get it and prepare to have nothing less than a celestial experience. I can't really speak for anything else since my mouth is too stuffed with those tacos, but my husband has gotten various Asian-infused tacos and always loves them. The beans are also super good- although they are more like a chili than traditional baked beans. The only problem with this place is that it is a tad expensive, and their soda fountain selection could use an upgrade. Aside from that, it's great.

  • Koshoni S.

Great tasting tacos! They have a bunch of really cool unique flavors. Friendly service too. That said portions were ridiculously small, like 3 bites and it's gone. If the portions were a little bit bigger, or the tacos were cheaper (they used to be $2 each now most are $2.50) I would give it 4 stars maybe 5...

Out of the 5 tacos ( all chicken and seafood)...one was about avg. It was diced chicken...all the rest were mediocre at best. Nope.

Really delicious tacos with so much flavor and variety. We tried a taco from each "genre" on the menu including: steak asada, chili orange shrimp, mojo roasted pork, and the buffalo chicken taco. All were phenomenal. I think the only down side is the price per taco in regards to portion size but for the taste, i suppose it is worth it!

Quit tasty and a great change of pace. The environment was fun and the staff was very friendly. My favorite was the BBQ pork taco.

This is my favorite casual place to eat in Utah County. ERMERRRRSH, so good. I haven't tried something yet that I didn't like, but my favorites are buttermilk chicken, the shrimp, and the cod. Haven't tried the salads yet, but the tacos have never let me down. We usually get the 12 for $25, which is WAY TOO MUCH food for two, but it's fun to have a big sampler. We just eat until we're full, and we've gotten to taste everything, so it's a fun dining experience, too.

Very well done ! I pretty much ordered everything because I couldn't decide .. I win !! Try the achiote pork and the steak buffalo was good the Thai fried was spicy and flavorful .. The best way to finish is with the malasadas amazballs !! Well done !

They were so good. My brother took me a few weeks ago and they were delicious. Too bad it is in provo, I live in Salt Lake County. Maybe they can have one up on SLC are, maybe draper, riverton or south jordan.

Stuck in Orem and Pleasant Grove for the week for work and the trek to SLC is a bit far for food so I hit Yelp to see what we could do and came upon this gem. Three of us hopped into the car and about 12 minutes later walked in to happy employees asking us what we wanted. We decided with three of us the best thing to do was 12 tacos for $25. The three of us each ordered 4 tacos and a Chimicurri mac and cheese to share. Everything we tried, chicken, pork and steak turned out fabulous. I personally tried the Buttermilk Chicken, Cuban Mojo Pork, Korean BBQ pork and told them to surprise me and they gave me a pulled pork. Everything was so yummy and the pork was so juicy! As a side note they have an open kitchen and at 8 PM we saw them on ladders scrubbing out the hood. There are not enough places out there that take cleanliness seriously and I'm happy to see 180 tacos make great food and care about the clean cooking/prep area as well.

  • Andrew A.

First time trying this place and I will definitely be back! Got four different tacos and they were all good. My favorites were the Korean BBQ and the Thai fried chicken. The Thai fried chicken has a little zip, which I like. The great thing is this place suits as large or as small an appetite as there is. One taco is $2. I feel like I eat a fair amount for my size and four tacos were more or less enough. I probably could have stuffed myself with six. If you keep in the four taco range plus a drink, this place is very reasonably priced, especially considering the quality and variety. Overall great experience!

  • Eric L.

Just tried this place today, had four tacos for almost ten bucks. I have to admit, all of the tacos had fresh ingredients, and with the different sauces and the garnishes here and there made them taste pretty good. The two fried items, the chicken for the buffalo chicken taco and the shrimp for the orange shrimp taco were very overcooked, I could barely taste the meat of the chicken and had to keep checking the little fried rubber to make sure I was actually eating shrimp. While I was eating the tacos, the only thing that crossed my mind was "I already spent $10 for "lunch", now where in the hell can I go after this and not spend too much but can actually get full?!". I know people say "you just have to enjoy the fine ingredients", " you have to appreciate the work that was put into it"... All I can say is, if you are rich, and looking for "exotic taste" and "fresh ingredients" but don't really want to get a full meal, this is a perfect place for you, other wise stick with your local taco shop that has a good salsa bar, because they too use fresh ingredients and put efforts into their food, you can even add your own sauces and garnishes to your tacos however you like without extra charge, and with only $6 you can be fed like a man with million dollars. I'm glad I tried their different takes on tacos, but the novelty has worn off, I think I'm just going to stick with real street tacos.

Looking for good vegetarian food in Utah county can be a challenge. But Tacos 180 has some great options. Today I had their falafel taco, with a side of chimichurri mac and cheese. Both were excellent! They also have a portobello taco that is on my list for next time. The flavors are fresh and creative, and I love the vibrant menu; they seem to be constantly creating new menu items, and those creations are out of the ordinary. Everything I've had here has been fabulous; I just withheld one star because I'm hoping for more veggie menu items in the future. Update 4/2015 My wish has come true! This is a great option for vegetarians, with new delicious menu items. The falafel taco is still great; I've also had the portobello and my new favorite, the Korean Tofu. It was outstanding! I've changed my review to 5 stars because this is a place I can visit and have a variety of vegetarian items to choose from each time--though I'll probably also have the Korean Tofu taco on my plate. The brunch items are excellent, too, especially the french toast, which is made from tortillas. it's a must-try.

Amazing. Went with my husband and inlaws. We got 18 tacos (2 of each flavor) and shared. So fun to try them all, can't remember having so much fun eating out.

Stopped by this place for lunch today. seemed a little pricey for how small the tacos were. I got the pork, steak, and buffalo chicken. SUPER delicious. Will definitely be going back. For how small the tortillas were they stuff a ton of meat in them :)

  • Chris M.

I love this place! Great take on fusion tacos. My favorite tacos are the buffalo, Korean barbecue, Achiote chicken, and a newer arrival, the Thai chicken. I love that in one meal, I can get American, Mexican, Asian, and even Carribbean (though I haven't really liked any of the Carribbean options). There are some great sides as well. The Chimichurri baked beans are so good! With all these great choices, it's amazing that you can get out for around $10 every time. I would recommend this to anyone.

  • Eric J.

It's good. Honestly I'll be back. I liked everything i had. It was fresh and tasty. But they're trying too hard to be both ultra-hip and ultra-accessible. It turns out that the "mock kimchi" on my korean pork taco was pretty much just coleslaw. There's nothing wrong with putting some sesame seeds and coleslaw on a sweet pork taco, but i'm not sure it's really korean without any gochugaru at all. The buffalo chicken taco was roughly as spicy as a waldorf salad. It was good, but i expected it to bite back, at least a little.

We had intended to go to Magelbys but saw this place and decided to give it a try. Wow! We will be back for sure! I had a the salted cod fritters taco and my husband had the cascabell chicken taco. I added the marinated cabbage and I'm telling you that it was the best fish taco I've ever had anywhere! My husband also raved about his. He asked me if I wanted to try a bite but I knew if I did that Is have to give him a bite of mine....no way :). We also tried the Malasadis for a treat...mmmmm. We will definitely be back to try the other things on the menu. It's not often we are surprised. So often everything tastes the same. What a fresh new taste. Loved it!

  • Leah B.

Good tacos. Perhaps a little overhyped. I had the carne asada taco and the buttermilk fried chicken taco. The steak taco was delicious, but frankly, Del Taco makes an equally delicious steak street taco. The fried chicken taco was also good, but the chicken obviously wasn't freshly fried because it was sitting in a covered bin. Fresh fried chicken would have really made it amazing, but I understand why that's not really possible in an assembly line. Overall, it was good, but it didn't blow my mind or anything. (To their credit, my husband had the Korean pork taco and really enjoyed it, and he isn't easy to impress when it comes to tacos or Asian food.)

  • Eric J.

I have eaten here dozens of times and it is always fantastic. Recently they made a deal for a dozen tacos for $20. That's what I get now, split it with your friend/wife/brother etc. My favorites are achiote pork, buffalo chicken, Korean BBQ pork but they are all great. Go try them all! You will love it!

    (5)
  • Grant C.

This place is amazing. I was skeptical at first. I love the different types of tacos that they have - not just mexican style. The buffalo chicken is my absolute favorite. Owner works in the kitchen (as least has been there the several times I've been) and is a super cool guy.

I can't recommend this place highly enough! My mom and I were midway through a long leg of our road trip, from Grand Teton NP in Wyoming, to Bluff Utah, way down in the southeast corner of the state. We almost hit a crappy taco shack in the last town but held out. And I'm sure glad we did! Between us we had the shrimp, Thai chicken, cod fritter, and asada tacos plus the chimichurri Mac and cheese. The asada was pretty standard. All the others were phenomenal though! And everyone was super nice. I'd be back all the time if I lived nearby.

  • Matthew D.

Very, very delicious. Great atmosphere in the restaurant. Highly recommended all around. I love Tortilla Bar but paying $4/taco is just insane when the tacos are not enough to fill you up. I bought 4 tacos at 180 at $2/taco and it was a great amount of food. Both the Tortilla Bar and 180 Tacos do something that is the most important thing to me at a restaurant...they combine simple ingredients in ways that bring out amazing flavors in ways that I could not think of. That is why I think they are both so good. However, 180 Tacos does it at a much more reasonable price, with enough seating and without as much pretention. Highly recommended. One complaint: They really need a simple veggie taco option. For instance, a taco with rice, avocado/guac, corn, onion, jalapeño and a delicious sauce of their choosing and I would come so dang often. Best tacos I had: buffalo, steak asada.

  • Shannon W.

We love this place! Since we've moved out of state it is the one we miss the most. I love the buffalo chicken taco, the corn ranch or whatever is amazing. My husband loves the achiote taco, and cascabel. But I like the try different ones every time I go. The place is also nice and clean.

Amazing! The quality of food and options are perfect! My wife and I have tried most of the menu items and we love it all! Not to mention the staff has always been very friendly and helpful.

  • Alec W.

The staff working when we came in for lunch were fantastic. They were helpful and gave suggestions that most of us liked. We got almost every type of taco on the menu so it was sort of a sampler meal tasting each one. By far the best taco was the Korean BBQ pork. Delicious! I would come back again for sure!

A fun, casual taco spot where they mix things up. If you're looking for a traditional taco you should head elsewhere, but should eat here if you like a creative spin on things.

Really good tacos. We tried the Mexican Chicken, Carne Asada, Korean BBQ, chopped salad, basmati, BBQ pork and beans, and malasadas. The Korean BBQ was my FAVORITE. I could eat a million of those. The malasadas were also super good. Overall I liked all of the tacos we ordered.

Excellent tacos. Limited seating during the lunch rush. I loved the Korean BBQ and Buffalo Wing tacos. The steak taco was also awesome. My friend had the macaroni and said it was delicious. Highly recommended.

This is by far my new favorite. Been here a dozen times already... Best tacos around!!! Hands down. Don't wait, just go! Try the Salted Cod, The Shrimp, and The Korean BBQ. Flavors can't be beat! Perfection, perfectly perfect.

  • Natalie B.

I have been waiting for ages for a local chopped salad place. Unfortunately, while 180 uses a mezzaluna to chop the lettuce somewhat, these aren't really chopped salads. That said, they are excellent salads---just not really chopped salads. Additionally, there are no vegetarian substitutions available. Every salad and taco has meat---and there are no beans or lentils or tofu or mushrooms that can be substituted. I hope they add some vegetarian options because I think 180 could be a favorite!

  • Brandon P.

Great tacos and quite a variety....Korean pork, Thai chicken, and buffalo chicken all delicious. Also tried the 'donuts'...amazing!!! Prices reasonable as well. Service was very patient, helpful, and fast. Only complaint was limited side potions.

  • Brant C.

Changed to 4 stars. Quality has seemed to dip since it's initial opening. Still good though. Finally a taco place with some variety. Choose from Caribbean, Mexican, Chinese, Korean, or American flavors. Small tacos, so expect to order 3 or 4. Some may feel that they are slightly overpriced but the quality/taste/service trifecta warrants the price. Personal favorite was the Korean BBQ taco.

    (4)
  • Jeff C.

It is a culinary adventure wrapped in a tortilla! I was pointed towards this place by a few friends and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Korean BBQ taco and the Carne Asada taco and they were both fantastic. They make them right in front of you. The restaurant has a very clean and simple feel and layout to it. I will be back and I can't wait to even try the salads. If you have read any of my past reviews you know how much I appreciate fresh ingredients. I had high expectations and they were meet.

Great place. Very unique menu. The meats are all very savory and the ingredients fresh. Small dining area though. Great for quick lunch or takeout

  • Trent M.

I was really surprised to see the variety that they had here. I came here, enticed by the Street Taco name and was surprised to see Mexican, Asian, European or Caribbean options - not what you think of when you think of street tacos. The shrimp taco was the best - 5 stars! So good! I wish I got all three of these. The shrimp were lightly battered, and had a sweet sauce - something I love. The Steak Asada was good, I'd give it a 4. Nothing too out of the ordinary and the Mexican pork, I'd give a 3. Service was fine, think Cafe Rio type of assembly line. Price is reasonable, $2 per taco, $2.50 for steak or shrimp.

    (4)
  • Shane R.

I seriously love this place. My wife and I go there about once every two weeks. We always get one street taco, and then one of the taco salads (I recommend the buffalo chicken taco). The flavors are unique, and the dressings on the salads are soooo good. The only downside is that the tacos vary in size depending on who is making them. Sometimes they are larger than others.

    (5)
  • AM W.

the buffalo chicken salad ALL DAY LONG but Pepsi not Coke, sadly.

    (5)
  • Dyl M.

Pretty good tacos at a pretty good price. The cod tacos and, surprisingly, the buffalo chicken taco were my favorites. The service is fast, and everything tasted pretty fresh. A few of the flavors of the tacos didn't totally jive, but that may be simply due to my personal taste. I'd for sure recommend this place. They tacos are fun, and definitely not your typical kinds. Definitely worth a try. I'll be back.

    (4)
  • Kasey C.

Highly recommended. Best tacos around. I had the orange chile shrimp and the achiote pork tacos with a side chopped salad. The salad was very big, and the tacos were amazing. Everything is very fresh and clean. Check out this up and coming taco shop!

  • Ryan B.

Great fusion tacos. Fresh, refreshing and addicting. I have had most of the taco options. My favorites are the buffalo chicken, Korean pork bbq, thai fried chicken and steak. I also tried the Masalasadas for dessert which were sweet and delicious. Just reviewing this place is making me crave those buffalo tacos. So good! If you like fusion tacos with simple but power flavor combinations, this place is absolutely worth a try.

    (5)
  • Matt O.

Poor quality. Awful service. Soggy, horrible tortillas. These guys need to simplify and get it together. They have absolutely NOTHING on the Pico Norte food truck. If you're looking for street tacos, track Pico Norte down.

    (2)
  • Bridger H.

Good for utah county. Prices are fair. Flavors are unique. It would be better if they had bigger tortillas (I know it's street tacos) or less meat.

    (3)
  • H W.

Every single thing you eat from 180 taco will be fabulous. Great tasting, filling and fun. The guys who work the truck are a little sassy but i can take it. Especially for these dank tacos.

  • Josh B.

Drove by the place a handful of times. Hit it up because the reviews were strong. Ordered a variety of tacos, salad and quesadillas for the wee ones. I was impressed. Much better than anticipated. Super tasty. I'll hit it up again no doubt.

    (4)
  • Cameron C.

Decent joint. I may have come in with high expectations given its Yelp rating. Very reasonable prices, but also very tiny tacos (even for "street" tacos). Tried each of the three Mexican flavors: liked the chicken, expected more from the steak, didn't care for the pork. Also tried one of the specials: chimichuri mac 'n cheese. Normally I really like chimichuri, and I rarely turn down an interesting mac 'n cheese, but this wasn't anything to rave about. Finished off with their (Portuguese donuts). They were nice enough, but would have been much better had they been cooked "medium rare" instead of "medium well". Not ready to cross this place off by any means; just hope I'm a little more impressed next time I come in to try some of their other (more exotic) flavors.

    (3)
  • Chelsey B.

The tortillas are tiny, I understand that the price is really low but ya think they could make tortillas bigger than 2 inches. Also don't go in near closing time, you'll get crappy service from employees that don't want to be there, and don't want to serve you.

    (2)
  • Beanis L.

I am all about new original places. This place is both! Really unique options for tacos. The salted cod was my favorite followed by the korean. You will need at least 4 tacos to get full, so that will be around $8. The chili chips were really spicy. Too spicy for most in my party but I enjoyed them. This place is about 80% the quality of Tortilla Bar at about 1/10 the price. Which equates to many visits from me.

    (4)
  • Noelle W.

This was amazing! The ingredients were all fresh, it was filling, and there were lots of options. Highly recommend!

    (5)
  • Mark D.

Have been here a few times. Some tacos are better than others. I like the buffalo. Last time I went the food was not hot - hard for me to plan on going back when I'm paying $2.50 per taco and it's kind of lukewarm. There are plenty of better taco shops on Provo - but if you're looking for fusion, something different, give it a try.

Delicious tacos. Love the achiote pork, Korean and salted cod. Beans are good too. Need to fix temp inside as it's FrEEZing! Eat here 2-3 times a week and it never gets old.

This place was awesome. I ended up trying three different ones. The mojo pork was delicious with a little bit of spice to it. My wife's liked the Korean tacos. I would defiantly go again I just wish there was a location close to me

  • Erick H.

Do: Mojo, Achiote, Asada Don't: Cascabel I thinking the salads are still a work in progress. The service is good, but they close early mon-thurs. Everyone I've brought here loves it.

Best tacos I've ever had! If you're looking for a taco that is definitely out of the ordinary and sparks taste buds you didn't know you had, 180 Tacos is the place! I had the Achiote Pork and Steak Asada on my first visit. Loved them both!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization.
