Slowest fast food place I've ever been to. It has Almost been 30mins with only two cars In the drive-through. Plus where you order they don't even have prices. I wouldn't be surprised if this places goes out of business

This place is a great little drive through diner. It also has seating inside. The place has been here for 30 + years. The food, deserts, and staff are awsome.

Whoa. Whole lotta hate going on in these reviews here...in this town, not a lot of choice for this sort of small town joint, but the oddly named ventures of this (guessing Dairy Queen) and Daley (Tastee?) Freez. I didn't get to the latter quite yet, but because of proximity and convenience, chose here. Probably wouldn't go here for any other reason... This is your typical small town kinda sorta "fast" food joint. It wasn't particularly fast, the patty was pretty thin, the "Swiss" cheese came out of cellophane and didn't have any eyes. Fries were a bit soggy, but overall, staff was friendly and it tasted mostly ok, which is about the best you're going to generally get in those markets. If you get a burger, order a double, though. Those patties are pretty thin...

The Polar Queen Drive Inn is a very nice, family owned, All-American fast food joint and that's a good thing in my book. I stumbled upon the Polar Queen while working in Payson one day and being the foodie that I am I considered it my duty to sample the menu as I am always looking for great Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives (sorry, shameless plug of one of my favorite shows) and the Polar Queen was a pleasant treat. The little drive inn is very clean and the individuals working there were very nice and answered all of my questions, the menu is large and yes it is what you would expect from a fast food drive inn. I ordered the halibut fish and chips and a taco, yes that is an odd mix but I am always searching for the next great taco so when I spotted it on the menu I had to try one. The taco first, not the best taco that I have ever had and man I have eaten a lot of tacos, it had a very simple homemade flavor to it with a crispy corn shell, ground beef, lettuce, cheese, and a sauce that was a little too much like ketchup. I am sure that I will happen across this joint again and when I do I will order the tacos again, hold the sauce. Now the fish and chips, the bad, portion size of the fish was really small, the good, they were very tasty. The order came with two small pieces of fish, a couple of onion rings, and fries. The onion rings were homemade with a crispy, tasty, deep fried batter, and the fries were rock solid, very good. This is a nice place with good comfort food, I am not going to tell you that I would pass on Moochies, or Culver's, or some other place that I really love to go here but if you find yourself in Payson where there are not a lot of food options this is a very good little spot that you will enjoy. This place sucks. My wife and I went there and for the two of us we got a grilled cheese, cheeseburger and fries combo (no drink), and an ice cream cone it came to 15.50. What the hell? Then we had to wait for like 20 minutes without anyone even opening the window to take our money. The lady was so ornery she rolled her eyes when I asked why it was so expensive. The food was ok, but the service was terrible and we were so pissed. The fries however, looked like they were a week old and put back into a microwave. I will never, ever, ever go here again.

Never going here again. No listed prices. Bill was not a happy surprise. Everything is in a combo- and they won't do just the entree. Waited over 20 mins at the drive thru after ordering before getting our food. Taste wise- it was decent, nothing spectacular and not worth the $ or the time.

We just stopped for dinner. I asked if they had a grilled chicken sandwich. The young man working the window said yes. So we ordered it. When we got our food the chicken was a deep fried chopped chicken patty. When we went back through the drive thru the young man kept peeking from the kitchen to see if we were still there. After 5 min of holding up the line they finally asked if they could help us. We said we ordered a grilled chicken and this was not grilled. The young man (without going to the back) said I checked with my boss and it is grilled. My husband said a grilled chicken is a chicken breast that is grilled and doesn't have breading. The young man said, yes that is a grilled chicken. He hid behind paper in the window. How often do you think they do things like this? Really if family owned they have any ethics or morals to lie and deceit people like that.

I agree how do you go from the 3.89 on the board for a ham and cheese with fries to 7.15. This is not the first time I've had a problem here. And they are soo slow. Don't waste your time the food is not worth it.
