When it comes to Italian food, I'm not a snob. I have standards but I'm not an "authenticity snob". Dad and I dropped by late one night. I went with lasagna. The sourdough was chewy, moist, delicious! Loved it. The salad was light and great. Their house dressing was fresh and good. The lasagna was great and would eat again!

I just don't like this place at all. Every pasta I've had here is just bland to me.

Bread, I can eat so much bread here that I barely need an entree. They serve it with garlic cutter and normal butter. For the bread alone I consider this to be one of the better chain restaurant options. When it comes to pasta their brown butter and mihzithra (sp?) cheese is my recommendation. Their soups and salad sound like a good idea but they are not. If you are there for lunch the sandwiches are worth a try. A dish of ice cream compliments most entrees and is a nice touch at the end of the meal. Don't expect too much and you will be satisfied.

I had some service issues at this location but Tim contacted me and ensured me the issues would be taken care of. Thank you for rectifying the problem and i look forward to trying you again

We had Max as our server for our party of 11. He provided great, fast service. The food was just good. Portions were big.

It's been a little while since I've been here. The main reason is the lousy parking at the mall. I noticed the menu change (mainly price increase and no free milk with dinner!) Our waiter was absolutely fantastic. No complaints on the service. Food was promptly served. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed by the amount of sauce on the spheghetti, a little light. I always order the broccoli w/brown butter and mizithra cheese. This time it just wasn't there. Mostly broccoli and not much butter or cheese. A big let down. We'll be back because we have a couple of gift cards. But I may just save them for a trip to California and see if the problems we experienced were just a local problem.

Well we came because everywhere else had an hour wait. We came and sat right down which on a Saturday night is pretty rare to find. Food was ok came out fast but the service wasn't the best I've had. I finished my soda before I got my food and didn't get a refill until after I finished my dinner. The free ice cream was cool (no pun intended) but it was freezer burnt

The parmesan cheese that was sitting on the table was filled with mold. It was obvious enough that a quick inspection of the products being served would have identified it. Everything seemed dirty including the bathrooms. Waitress was really nice and provided good service though.

This restaurant was clean, well presented, and well staffed but the food was just ok. I have been looking for a decent Italian place and have yet to find one that really fits the bill. My spaghetti was a little dry and the sauce was not anything to brag about. Honestly, the food for everyone in my party was rather dull ad lifeless. The waiters seemed to respect the adults at other tables more than myself and my just younger cousin. I know this can be an issue in many locations, but it really did seem to be an issue here and not imagined.

I haven't been here since I was a kid, and although I remember really liking the spinach tortellini, many other things that I liked a lot as a kid proved bust's when revisited in adulthood. Because of this, my wife was a bit wary, o. Łbut the old spaghetti factory came through! Carly, our waitress was great; assertive with her upsells, confident with the menu and quick to make a great recommendation. The tortellini is still good, and if you ask to sit in Carly's section, you're sure to enjoy your visit here.

Good lunch menu value. I enjoyed the portion size and flavorful Italian sausage and meat sauce spaghetti. The side salad was nothing extraordinary but was only .99 extra! The bread was warm and tasty too. Service was attentive and the manager stopped by our table and inquired about our dining experience.

Good bread and brown butter pasta. I found everything else--the Marsala, lasagne, and meat sauce pretty bland. Their Marsala is made with pretty cheap cooking wine.

I used to love the Old Spaghetti Factory, the one up just off I-215, and so I thought that the one in Orem would be just as good. Not. Service was slow. Food was average. The side salad is out of a bag. The bread was probably the best thing of the meal. I had a combo of Mizithra, crab & meat sauce on whole wheat pasta. Very average and bland. No one at our table was very impressed with the meal. Although I really love the fact that you can get Mizithra.

There was day, long ago, where the Old Spaghetti factory was to die for. Those days are long since past. Now, the evil frozen meatballs and bland spaghetti abound.

Great food and fast service, two people ate for $11. (We shared spaghetti and had a coupon for free cheese sticks)

Went with a party of 4, and all of us got sick from some part of the dinner. The food was plain, especially the chicken fettuccine alfredo. Service was slow, though our server apologized profusely, stating he had a lot more tables than usual. This isn't the OSF I'm used to.

Extremely limited menu and somehow there's occasionally a wait when you can clearly see countless tables open. Staffing issues? Spaghetti itself is not bad, bread is average, and prices aren't bad. I supposed it is better than Olive Garden, but this is still one rather mediocre chain restaurant.

I live in Colorado currently but my wife and I were talking about how bad the food was here so I thought I had to come on this site and express my opinion. The food was not at all good! It was the most bland dish of food I have ever had. Getting a container of Ragu: Thick and Chunky style would have had more flavor than the Spaghetti Factory. It was bad enough that I will just never even try it again.

I love the food! I've never had a bad meal here! Once in a great while, the service is slow --- but the food is worth the wait! The Minestrone Soup and Dinner Salad is a very inexpensive meal in itself. And the Spumoni is a great way to end the meal!

I used to love this restaurant! Now it seems ordinary and the food is mediocre at best. Not the best for the money

I don't care what the last review of the Spaghetti Factory says, I friggin love this place. Granted, it's not oozing with Italian flavor, but I like it because it reminds me of an Italian Cracker Barrel, if you will. It's like having spaghetti at your mom's house - typical, but definitely filling. I've always loved this place, and appreciate it's popularity without the use of commercials with such taglines as "when you're here, you're family." Bah. The base price for your entree comes with either soup or salad and dessert. Perfect for me, especially because the creamy pesto dressing for the salads is amazing. And they serve my favorite ice cream - spumoni - for dessert. Mmm...Sadly, I've been going to different Spaghetti Factory restaurants for as long as I can remember, and I've never ordered anything other than the spaghetti and meatballs or the fetuccine alfredo. Call me boring, but I know what I like. I guess I'm spoiled by the atmosphere of the location in Downtown San Diego, so the location in Orem doesn't come close for ambiance. Unfortunately, for some reason they closed down the Downtown San Diego location and replaced it with a metropolitan bar...grr. That was a tragic day. The Orem location tries to replicate the idea of the trolley in the middle of the restaurant, though it's not done as successfully. Aside from that one little hiccup, I love this place. If you're just looking for hearty food at a good price, I'd definitely stop by.

This is not italian. That is not pasta. Don't even try suggesting it for lunch!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
