We've loved the food here. The building doesn't give it huge appeal but we've eaten this Thai food many times and we love it. Fairly quick service for both in-restaurant and take out ordering.

Thai food in Utah? hmmm....i'm skeptical. Let's try it! It was ok. The menu had all your typical thai dishes, but nothing to be inspired by. I ordered some spicy chicken basil, calamari for appetizer, and my buddy ordered green curry. I don't know what type of curry paste they use, but damn, that green curry was pistachio/mint ice cream green!!! It looked gnarly as hell, almost radioactive. I guess it tasted ok since he finished it. The spicy basil chicken was pretty flavorful, a little easy on the spiciness though. The calamari was just dredged in corn starch mixture which wasn't seasoned properly, don't order it. The server was apathetic: couldn't really give us much information on different dishes, or what was good that night. But at least he filled our water right? It was a perfect reflection of the restaurant's atmosphere...kinda boring. Ehhh, i'd order here again. But i'm not from the area, so who knows if there's a better place. it's definitely a better take-out joint than it is restaurant experience.

I was introduced to this place by a co-worker who had great things to say about it. We've gone twice for lunch the last couple of weeks and even took the misses for dinner recently. All three visits have been wonderful. - Friendly people - Fast - Food is hot - Decent value - Great flavor Of the three Thai places I've tried in Utah County now, Thai Evergreen is the new favorite. There are a few cons, but the food is so good that I don't think they should hurt the rating. - Chairs are cheap and uncomfortable, very little padding - Decor isn't super nice, but not horrible - Plastic covering the tables is really sticky, almost dumped my water glass and massaman curry bowl We'll definitely be back.

small little place with cheaper prices for lots of food. i love the massaman curry - it is usually plenty for 2 relatively hungry eaters. when my wife and i eat here we never finish all the curry and bring a cup or two home. this is one of the places we will fight over the leftovers for. atmosphere isn't great (sparsely decorated) but its never crowded or busy so service is good. this is a worth trying out and not too hard on the pocketbook.

Very good Thai food. We were eating here a couple times a month but then decided we should probably give our tastebuds a rest from the burning inferno. My favorites are the chicken coconut soup, paad thai, satay, and definitely the sweet rice with mango. (I'm a little bit more of a whimp when it comes to spice, so those are good choices if that's you. My husband has ordered some very intense dishes, but I can't remember what they're called. Sorry) It's a small place, but it's never been crowded when we're there, and they have take out if you don't want to stay...can't say there's much ambience, but it's worth it. The price is very good, especially for starving students. Give it a try!

I had the orange chicken & my acquaintances had a variety of curries. The orange chicken was really good but after sampling my friends curry which was on the spiciest side of the hot scale I knew I should of gotten curry. Great place & the management was cool & polite. Not too many places like these.

In general, the food was bland. The pad Kee Mao didn't taste like much, but the Massaman curry was OK. Small portions are a turn off for an Asian restaurant. $30 later, we were still hungry. The fried beef jerky was awesome. This turned out to be the highlight of the meal. They didn't ask how spicy we wanted our dishes, which was odd for a Thai place. And didn't offer drinks, which was also weird.

Stayed at a hotel near this place, thought that the rating would reflect the good service and food that I would expect. Decor is terrible. Dirty floors, people crammed in as tightly as possible. A disinterested host/server. I think he said maybe 5 words to me. As it's right next to a university, perhaps they're going for the poor college students that don't care what the place looks like vibe. Ordered fresh spring rolls, would expect either sweet thai chili sauce or peanut satay, came with neither. Ordered Pad Thai with chicken. Noodles were covered in this thick sweet sauce that was not reflective of other Pad Thais I have ordered elsewhere. Server did not ask for spice level, nor was there any spice on the table (Sriracha or otherwise). Chicken had been precooked and was noticeably colder than the noodles or the sauce and had all the texture of styrofoam. Huge pieces of onion which is a new one for me in the dish, and this weirdly sliced carrot that was almost the same amount as the chicken. Food gets a plus for how cheap it is, but if I wanted to know why it was that cheap, I'd probably not want to know.

Great service. Called on graduation night. The owner told me to get in fast and order quick before a big party put in theirs. Food came out in a couple of minutes. Wish the portions were bigger.

I ordered the Masaman curry and the beef noodle soup. Both were very good. I arrived around 7:30 PM and the restaurant was nearly empty. The service was fast. The Masaman tasted more peanty than I expected, almost like organic peanut butter. There were mosquitoes hiding under the tables or something because my wife and I both got bit and had very large and itchy mosquito bites after we left the restaurant. I thought it odd that he brought the rice to the table (in an uncovered bowl) several minutes before bringing the curry bowel. The portion was large enough that I was plenty full and the price was right. The decor was odd but I liked their Thai family photos on the wall. I did like the little pictures on the menu but they were a little too small to be all that useful. Ought to put large photos on the menu.

Get the massaman., it's really tasty. It's fairly large so you could split it between two people. Pad Thai is sweets and liked that as well; however the massaman was better.

I love getting Thai food here. Every time we've come here the place is packed, and for good reason. The food is delicious! Especially the Masaman Curry, IMO. The only reason I took a star off is because the staff always seem stressed and understaffed. This seems like a management issue. It's been a little while since we've been back, so hopefully it's better now.

Service is very fast which was wonderful. That being said, they were severely understaffed when I was there at 6pm. There was one guy serving everyone and taking care of all the people that came in for take-out. I think they do way more take out orders than sit-down. It's not a very romantic atmosphere and not much to look at, so I think take-out is the way to handle this one. I had the chicken massaman curry and my wife had the tempura combo. Both were quite delicious and I would recommend both of them. The sauce for the tempura was particularly yummy. I've also had the Pad Thai chicken from here and it is great as well. As far as Thai places go, this place holds it's own and has good flavors (especially for those who don't particularly like Thai or first-timers). I would also recommend going in just for their homemade Popsicles- coconut is my favorite.

While its not going to blow your doors off, this place will satisfy your Thai hankering. Love it mostly because of its location and I've only ever ordered takeout so I can't comment on a dine-in experience. We go for the massaman curry and its money every time. The amount of chicken you get can vary but the curry itself is always so dang good. The pad Thai is hit or miss, while its normally good we get a coldish one every now and again. Ordered the spicy basil chicken and felt like I could do a better rendition myself. I recommend the massaman every time and hope you get a fresh batch of pad Thai? Overall this place does the trick, especially if you live close by.

I go here all the time! Best green curry and spring rolls in The Valley, with great prices! The mango sticky rice is really sweet and tasty as well. For dessert, I always grab a green tea or mango popsicle on my way out. THey are friendly, and they will let you come every day if you want with a restaurant.com coupon, and won't argue with you like most places.

I'm rating this place for the Massaman, the Tom Ka Gai, and the mango sticky rice . . . and I say their Massaman was awesome. The Tom Ka had a nice lime and cilantro kick to it, but the Massaman was tremendous. The sauce wasn't too soupy or too thick, the flavors were perfectly seasoned (not too mild, not too overbearing), and the you could taste everything--the coconut, the peanut, the chicken, and the cashew. Why not five stars? The mango rice wasn't particularly sticky (more soupy), and the normal rice was dry and old(ish). But their prices are good and I'm craving that Massaman. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of their curries.

Massaman Curry is a must. Service here is mediocre but the price of the food and the portion sizes make up for it. Always have enough for lunch the next day. Highly recommend for anyone who likes cheap Thai food.

This is a very low budget setup. Poor decor and not great service. The pad Thai was too sweet and the noodles were over cooked. I probably won't be going back.

This place is a Thai gem here in Orem. Their cashew chicken is the best. Highly recommended.

I only eat three things here because they're so good I can't move on. Try the spring rolls, the papaya salad, and the curry. You won't regret it. The mood of the place is very relaxed. The decoration is kind of hilarious, actually. There's a lot of knick knacks and unique art on the walls. The service is efficient and the employees are all nice. All in all, it's worth coming here AT LEAST once. (You'll probably return)

Been here dozens of times and love it. Usually we get Massaman curry and pad Thai. Great flavor.

Best Thai place we've eaten at in the Provo/Orem area. Better than Thai Drift, Spicy Thai. The Chicken Tempura Katsu is amazing! The sauce alone is worth the trip. Great service (Thai Drift's is terrible, they couldn't care less that you're giving them business). The girl that took the orders and delivered the food was really nice, helpful and even stopped by to chat for a little bit.

I asked for two stars and there was no spice whatsoever so the food was very bland. It's close to home though so there's a star for that

Wonderful food! I mean the whole menu. I also thought the service was first rate at the out of the way gem.

Only ever get their chicken fried rice and I love it!! Best dish ever (in my opinion). Good service, family owned, it's my favorite Thai place around my house.

Pretty legit. I haven't gone to any other Thai places in Utah, but I'm glad I started with this one. I came across this place by accident while on my way to Walmart. I couldn't believe they were still open, it was 9:35pm. The decor was beautiful, the hours and location are extremely convenient, and the food was to "Thai" for haha. If you didn't get what I just said, the food was delicious. Oh and pretty cheap, everything on the menu was $10 & under. The portions are on the smaller side, seems like each entree is for 1 maybe 2 people. We ordered: Green Curry, Fried Rice, and Pork Pot Stickers. I loved the Pot Stickers!! and you get about 8 for $5 Location: Across the street from the Orem Walmart Price: $10-20 per person

Poor thai food. Expensive and not very good. Go to thai Jasmine if you are looking for a good place. :)

Super good food. I love the spicy salmon. The people there are very nice too. I've eaten at about 5 or 6 Thai places in Utah and this is my favorite one. Too bad I don't work close to it anymore.

First off, I'm no Thai food snob but I really like this place. I've gone about four times and it has been very good. I've had the paad Thai, and the pork fried rice in recent memory. Both very good. Also it has always been very fast service. We went the other day and had our food 5-7 minutes after we ordered. I was shocked. All in all it's a great eating experience for the price. Plus the people working there have always been nice and have offered great service.

Food was fantastic!! We had the pineapple curry and the paneng curry, both perfect. They did give me chicken instead of tofu, though, which wasn't great. I am sure I could have sent it back without trouble but I was hungry and so I just ate around the chicken. Friendly service, good prices, lots of food for the price.

  • David G.

Overall it was a nice experience. We had the cream cheese wontons, which were very good. The menu is a bit hard..just pictures and titles. Not really any explanations of the dishes themselves. We really enjoyed the musaman curry but the noodle dish we got wasn't all that great. Cheap decor but you wouldn't come to a strip mall restaurant expecting a ton of atmosphere anyway.

Makes sense why everyone is happy here! Their food is filled with awesomeness! My favorite is the shrimp fried rice with crab meat. I like how it's sorta hidden away from a lot of other places so it's not crazy packed, but no matter how packed it is, I always get fast and friendly service. I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants and I always tell everyone I go with that you can tell how good their food is by the mango sticky rice. This place has always had the best mango sticky rice that's on point every single time and cooked to perfection. I definitely appreciate them keeping the facility especially the restrooms clean because a dirty one is a big pet peeve of mine. It's surprising how low the prices are compared to everywhere else, but I'm not complaining ;) keep up the good work!

A great value, ordered yellow curry, larb, and pad Thai. All tasty. The only complaint was the server wasnt that great and in a hurry to close early they brought the bill prior to our being able to order the ice cream everyone raves about.

  • Michael B.

My wife and I went in before the standard Walmart trip. Completely standard, unremarkable thai food. The pad thai was overseasoned, oversalted. The drunken noodle was decent, but the noodles were a little overcooked and mushy, as were the veggies. The lunch special menu was perplexing. It's not any cheaper than a dinner entree, and they have really random combos. They choose the dishes you can get, rather than just giving a list to "pick two" from.

We stopped here with our college hiking class en route to Grand Teton National Park. I will never forget how incredible the food was! (I'm raving about it on Yelp five years later, lol.) I got to try several of the dishes and they were all unbelievably delicious! I highly recommend the yellow curry and the orange chicken.

I've lived in Provo for 5 years and I've tried every Thai food restaurant from here to SLC. Last night I went to Thai Evergreen for this first time and it was love! The dishes are fabulous and affordable. I recommend everyone trying it!

Delicious pad thai and pad see-ew! Great, sweet flavor with the pad thai. I would definitely go back! Low-key atmosphere and helpful, friendly staff.

We had lunch here, ordering yellow curry with chicken and massamand curry with beef. The yellow curry was good; I'd order it again. I wouldn't order the massamand again, though. It's a peanut sauce so is a tad too thick and oily than I like. Like a slightly-thin bisque. Both dishes were $7.95 and the portions were generous. The free WiFi was nice.

I'll update this now. It doesn't appear there are any lunch specials. That's probably a good thing given my last experience. This time I didn't have to pay. That helped. My food was quite good, although the top spice level #5 still wasn't that spicy. One of the others I was with, who ordered after me, asked for authentic. That may have been the way to go. The tempura, while not Thai, was decent. My food was the same. I can't quite go 4 star yet, but I'd go back again -- and that's a step forward.

This restaurant is three minutes from home so we order a lot of take out. The food is always great, but occasionally I find they are inconsistent with how they taste. I believe it depends on who is cooking. Nothing has ever been bad, but I specifically notice on my favorite menu item, the fresh spring rolls. Sometimes there is shrimp, sometimes not, sometimes there is a mint leaf I believe in it and sometimes not (I love it when it's there), sometimes the flavor is just different. Not bad, different. The Thai waterfall salad is another favorite as are all of the curry dishes. Friendly staff. Simple decor.

Had the pad see ew, and it was completely lacking in flavor. The people with me enjoyed their curries, but my dish was not enjoyable or tasty in the least. Definitely don't order that here.

We were really blown away by the quality Thai food here! We are (used to be now!) regulars at Thairuby in Provo. However, all of our favorite dishes that we have tried are far better here for half the price! Don't expect to enter a luxurious, fancy, restaurant. Think more "Hole-In-The Wall" but the food is really really great! We are really glad that we went out on a limb to try this place! Recommending so far: Nam Tok (waterfall beef salad) {-- if you haven't tried this you really should! However, go milder on the heat unless you like it hot!, Eggrolls (with beef), and Green Curry was really great!

My wife and I are hardcore foodies, and this is one of our favorite restaurants. The sole waiter/cashier/busser is a little lacking in the personality department and won't help much as far as helping you decide on your order. HOWEVER, their Thai chicken wings, paad thai, and ALL their curries are the best you can get. I couldn't believe how fast the service was the first time, so I timed it the second time we went (because I'm a dork...). The appetizer was out on our table, sizzling hot, in UNDER TWO MINUTES. The remainder of our order was out LESS THAN FOUR MINUTES after that. All entrees are under ten dollars. Horrible location, unappealing name, and utter lack of marketing mean that you will likely be one of only a few (if any) other customers, meaning fast service and food that goes straight from the pan to your table instead of sitting under a heat lamp for ten minutes before you get it. Atmosphere is very bland, but the food and prices more than make up for it.
