This place is fantastic. Let's remember we're in Utah people. I'm sure some Texan is gonna whine that there's better barbecue and burgers there or some garbage like that. I'm sure there are. But for Utah this place is an absolute gem. It's all fresh, absolutely delicious. Even by southern standards it's really good. It's got a quality rustic ambiance, laid back nothing fancy. The owner is super nice, quiet though but passionate about the food he makes. The staff is way friendly, and extra kudos for hiring a lot of workers with disabilities and contributing to the community. In conclusion, tasty food, good ambiance, great staff, good local restaurant, make this place a regular stop and you're life will be better.

A family favorite. The service is quick and you can always expect perfect portions and tender, flavorful meats to come from the kitchen. They have a huge variety of sauces from mild and sweet to hot an vinegary. There's something for everybody here. They also have daily specials that are always excellent.

Ordered from this place when stopping by on a road trip. They do not deliver but there was a delivery service that did it for us. The overall experience was great. They took our order and food was to us much faster than I expected. Everything was prepared and cooked to order specifications. We had a burger, ribs, corn bread, fries, apple pie cheese cake and Mac n cheese. Everything was Great! It just didn't have that wow factor that pops it up to a 5. Try this place

Not bad. Great sauces, but the meats were just average. Brisket was overcooked, as were the ribs. The flavor was okay with a hint of smoke. The pork was probably my favorite. A great selection of sauces, which some people would think makes the BBQ great, but remember, BBQ is not the sauce, BBQ is the meat cooked low and slow with the right amount of smoke.

This is definitely a borderline 3 star place. The customer service is actually pretty good, but sadly the food drags the place down a bit. I ordered the beef brisket and what I was presented with was a plate of yellowish looking meat. The flavor was off and the meat was rather chewy. Th sauce was a necessary addition in order to mask the odd flavor of the meat. I also had a side of apple sauce which was sub par. The texture was fine, but it really lacked some sweetness. Overall, the food is so-so, but the ambience and customer service are pretty great.

Excellent!! Good price, amazing food!! I had the mocha burger and Mac and cheese. The burger is probably the best burger I've ever eaten. Check this place out!!!

Amaze balls! The mocha burger is a unique eat and you will want more. Ribs and my favorite is the brisket is so tender. Sauces are original and not crap from a grocery store. The cowpie dessert is its own treat. Love me some smoke house BBQ and burgers.

Yum.... Great sauce selection. The meat falls off the bone and the brisket is so tender it pulls a part.

Being from the south I'm always skeptical of good BBQ. I must say their pulled pork is now in my top five of all time and definitely the best I've found in Utah! Will definitely be coming back for more!

My experience with Smokehouse is limited their their burgers. And only one burger at that: the Mocha. Who would have guessed that mocha + nutella could be such an amazing combination? I love it. Whenever I'm even remotely close to Orem, I find a way to sneak in a visit. Not only do I love the burgers, but the owner supports special needs organizations and often has these great kids busing tables.

Great Bbq. Variety of sauces. Tried 4 of them and they were all excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced. Recommend this if you are in the mood for some comfort food.

I started eating here because a friend worked here. This is the best pulled pork I've had in Utah. Their BBQ sauce is amazing!

Ribs are really good! There are a lot of sauce options as well which make things interesting. Price also really hits the mark, for the most part it's the cheapest bbq place around. Great portion sizes also. But the ribs aren't all that make this place great, the burgers, oh the burgers. They are AWESOME, and I love a good burger! This place is a must try.

AWESOME spare ribs. I went on a 4-day tour of Austin, TX BBQ joints last year and Smokehouse is up there with them, in my opinion. the place has moved (thankfully) to the strip mall just east of Mountain View high school on Orem Center Street and the location is apparently doing well. the atmosphere is friendly and playful, there are friendly pokes at vegetarians painted on the walls and various likenesses of pigs, cows, and chickens decorating the otherwise sparse décor. My daughter and I were in the area and saw the sign for the $5 pulled pork sandwich combo special (with chips and drink). You order at the counter and take your seat, and they bring you your food in plastic baskets lined with paper, with side dishes in Styrofoam cups. Typical BBQ joint stuff. I ordered the 2 meat combo for about 11 bucks IIRC and selected the ribs and brisket. In my opinion any BBQ joint has to do those things well, and Smokehouse didn't disappoint. The brisket looked kind of dry and I prepared myself for the Texas-type overly done pot-roast-type brisket but was pleasantly surprised that it was pull-apart tender and had good flavor. Not overly smoky but a nice crust. I could have used more fat/moisture in the brisket and the owner (whom I flagged down and spoke to later) suggested I ask for the "wet cut" next time. In any case the brisket was very good, but not stellar. The spare ribs, however, were world class. Truly pull-off-the-bone tender but still with sufficient "chew", they had tons of flavor even without one of the many excellent sauce selections. They could easily be eaten without sauce, which is a great litmus test for good ribs in my experience. At least 5 large spare ribs came in my 2-meat combo (which also comes with 2 sides; I got my standard coleslaw--very good--and mac'n'cheese. The mac was cooked properly with not overly mushy noodles and the flavor was good with a kind of genuine-cheddar flavor. Not spectacular M'n'C but definitely worthy as a side dish). The pulled pork was good but the true star is the spare ribs. I'll have to try the chicken next time I'm there. Oh, almost forgot the sauces. They have at least 6 and they're all tasty. Our favorites were the mustard, the spicy BBQ, and the Alabama (white) mixed with spicy (on recommendation from the owner, and he was right... it's a great combo). They also have a nice sweet BBQ sauce, a vinegar, an "oh-my-heck hot" one (which is not painfully hot but does have a good kick), and a strawberry chipotle one. The owner has 30 years of experience in the food business (as I found out when I spoke to him after complimenting him on the excellent ribs) as a chef and manager and knows his stuff. I'm happy to see another local place make good. I encourage you to visit and check it out.

We've been coming to Smokehouse for years. Through all of the expansions, moves and menu changes. We have tried most BBQ places in Utah valley and some of SLC & continue to think that it has the juiciest meat around. They've recently added burgers to the menu and have nailed them on the head. They're juicy, big and well priced. The soft pretzel bun is the real kicker. Great stuff!

One of my all-time favorite places to eat. I have tried a couple of the burgers, the brisket, the chicken, the pulled pork and the ribs and I have never been disappointed. You cannot beat the pulled pork sandwich special, and the sides are all very tasty. I especially love the beans, potato salad, and the cheese chips. There is a sauce to satisfy everyone. My wife and I used to go to a certain barbeque chain that moved in not too long ago, but then we were lucky to find this gem. We have not eaten barbeque anywhere else since. It is simply amazing in my book.

Our family went there based on the 4 1/2 star average rating. We don't feel it deserves that rating. The employees are friendly and helpful, but the quality of the meat isn't that good, but it is acceptable. I like "meat fall off the bone" ribs and brisket so tender that is pulls apart. However, that is not what we got, in contrast to Matty G.'s experience. But these were still good enough, just not as good as I expected given the average rating. Perhaps they had a bad day.

I came in around lunch and it was not to busy, just right amount of noise and commotion. Looking around you learn that this establishment makes it a priority to give special needs people a chance to work and contribute as a team. Really cool, having first hand seen these opportunities change a loved ones life. I ordered their mocha burger, Mac and cheese, baked beans, and cowboy pie. The bad first was that the burger was overdone and it claimed to have hints of coffee but I could not pick up any. However there sauces are amazing and I used them to doctor the burger right up. The Mac & cheese and baked beans were above average. The cowboy pie was delicious. I plan to go back and try more items overall I still give them a thumbs up.

3rd visit today was so good I vowed not to sleep until I yelped it this time. Both burgers I have tried are in my personal top 10. Pulled pork sandwich lunch special is $5 and has plenty of meat with a great variety of sauces to try with everything. The place got pretty busy by 1215 on a weekday. Flat-bread pizza special was really good as well, cant remember what day that's on. This is for sure a must try for Utah County eaters. Had great cookies and still need to try the pies/tarts and ice cream. If you like black pepper try the black and blue burger, if you never had a fried egg on your burger try the smoker burger...really ridiculous good.

High quality meat. Variety of sauces, but none that stand out. The rolls are good. Not bad as a stand bye, but I wouldn't go out of my way.
