Food Poisoning: Ate here at this Orem Utah location Saturday night April 26th 2014. Ten in our group, 7 adults 3 kids. The food was great but my brother and I got food poisoning. We narrowed it down to the pina colada drink since only my brother and I had that. I filled a third of a cup and added water cause it was really sweet. My brother on the other hand drank 2 full cups and not even 2 hours later was in pain and throwing up back at the house. I started having upset stomach and feeling nauseous all day today. Luckily I only had a third of a cup and diluted it down. My brother on the other hand wasn't as lucky. Won't be eating at this location again.

Lots of choices, clean serving areas. The food was hot and well stocked and tasty! Price was very reasonable. The tables and floors were clean too.

It's pretty good, big selection, good price. But it is a buffet, so you get what you get.

As far as buffets go, this one is good. The buffet area is clean, they have hand sanitizer to help keep gross germs away for people that might lick their fingers or sneeze and touch serving utensils. The server made sure to come around to clear plates away and refill drinks. The salad area had a lot of choices: mixed greens, spinach, romaine, onion, corn, kidney beans, etc. I liked the salad the best because it was fresh tasting, the lite italian dressing was yummy, and the many options to make salad a lot more interesting to eat. This is a PLUS. The night I went was Chinese food and they had really good orange chicken and fried shrimp. The food was fresh and hot. Woohoo! No luke warm buffet food. I ate some of their turkey and I must say the turkey was pretty salty (and I love salt). It was edible, but I had to eat it with the mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce to dilute the saltiness. Would I eat the turkey again? Probably because I'm a sucker for turkey, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce when it's no where near Thanksgiving. The lavacake they had pictured looked nothing like what was in the dessert bar. I was expecting a mini lava cake to call my own. I get to the dessert bar and it's like one big lava cake. It was terrible tasting ... a gooey blob sat on my plate. My boyfriend didn't like it either. The plus side, at least they offer many other desserts.

Horrible customer service. My wife's friend was willing to pay full buffet price for one bowl of broccoli salad because it was all her dad wanted. He happens to be on hospice care so thanks a lot employees of Chuck a Rama Orem for not having a heart. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION

The restaurant was dirty, the staff was rude. They were mixing in new food with the old food rather than changing it out. This causes major cross contamination problems. I left without finishing my meal. Avoid at all costs.

We've been going here for 25+ years. The service is quite good. The food is OK most of the time. Each time we come, we're not sure if the chicken is cooked all the way but 75% of the time, it is. The price is right. Be sure to come Monday-Friday at 3:45PM so you can pay the lunch price and get in on the dinner menu at 4PM. I saw the review of the patron who said they got sick, here. Be careful. Once we got sick after eating at a SLC C-a-R and I called them about it. After talking to them, I was convinces that it was NOT them. They go to extra efforts to keep the food safe, probably like most restaurants: way beyond cautious to keep the food safe. Have not heard of any health-related problems with a Utah C-a-R for many, many years. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Had a large group during lunch time & on a Sat. The place was packed. Took awhile to get through line to pay. The food was hot & trays were well stocked. They serve a large variety of food ranging from a salad bar to home cooking to fast food type items. Great rolls & scones with a choice of honey butter & cinnamon butter. Large dessert bar & serve yourself drinks. Because it was so busy it was hard to have a conversation with all the noise...plus several youngsters that kept screaming in that high pitch tone that can almost be compared to nails on a blackboard. Overall nice casual place to dine...just stay away from the prime times & you'll be fine.

Like most buffet restaurants Chuck A-Rama offers a large variety of average quality food for a pretty modest price. Put another way, nothing served here is particularly great but everything is pretty good. Chuck A-Rama has lots to choose from for even for the pickiest of appetites, including: a large salad bar with all manner of vegetables, fruits and fixings; pot roast; fried chicken; salmon; marconi & cheese; au gratin potatoes; and much more. Everyday there is also a theme of the day. On Saturday when we were there it was Italian day and they had pizza, lasagna, spaghetti and garlic bread. If you have kids Chuck A-Rama charges only a few dollars, I think it's $0.60 per year, so a four year old can eat for around $2.40. Hard to beat that kind of price. Plus kids three and under are free.

ChuckARama is the best, wide-variety buffet out there. They have some of everything so myself, my wife, and my 2 year old son were happy when eating here. All the food was fresh and they weren't out of anything. The service was fantastic. All the employees we talked to were very cheerful... which is something you don't see at most buffets. Price was good. Son was free (under 3 is free). The scones/rolls and honey butter are to die for. Usually regret how many rolls/scones I eat!
