This is probably one of my favorite burger places in Utah County. I usually opt for their western style burger. It's cheap and tastes amazing. I dont know if it could get any better than that!

I had heard good reviews about Apollo Burgers in Orem, so I decided to check it out. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in my experience. I got one of their basic Apollo Burgers, which I regretted. The burger patty was way past overcooked, there was a big chunk of bitter white lettuce on it, the tomato was NOT ripe and it came slathered in my least favorite Utah invention--fry sauce. (Really, it's just a mix of mayo, ketchup and season-all...what's the big deal?) Anyhow, I was completely unimpressed by the burger. As for the fries, they were bland, under cooked and over-salted. The pop (I had Coke) was improperly mixed and tasted too sweet. The dispenser had obviously not been brixed for some time. The interior was drab, dim and run-down. The booth I sat in was rickety, and the seat leaned towards the aisle. As far as the staff, they all looked completely disinterested in their jobs, and their body language clearly stated that they'd rather be elsewhere. For a fairly pricey meal, I was expecting better quality, better service and more of a memorable experience. I doubt I'll go there again. There really wasn't anything that would draw me back.

Since I just reviewed Crown Burger and mentioned Apollo I figure I better review it now as well. I have been to this Apollo many times and always have had an ok meal, hence the rating. Maybe a 3.5. Anyway, one thing that I did notice that was missing from Crown Burger's menu was a golden burger (This is what I get at Apollo 90% of the time). What is a Golden Burger? It is an Apollo/Crown Burger, but instead of a bun they put the burger and pastrami on Texas Toast which is buttered and thrown on the grill. It holds up much better then the bun they use on the Apollo/Crown burger. So maybe after writing both reviews, I would give a very slight edge to Apollo, just because of the Golden Burger.

Apollo double charged my credit card and wouldn't refund the extra charge. How is that even possible? I talked to the person who answered the phone, I talked to the manager, and I even talked to the owner. Why do I have to talk to so many people over a measly $10? None of them thought it was a good idea to just give me my $10 back to keep me as a customer. They had me call them back numerous times. They had me call my bank. After taking all of their steps, they still kept my money. To me it makes sense to give someone $10 to keep them as a customer. I won't be back and I hope the rest of y'all don't go back either.

Several years ago I was reading some comments about Utah where people were trashing on our state. About halfway through the tread, someone said "yeah, but they have Apollo Burger" and the thread instantly changed to talking about our great local burger joint. Thank you Apollo Burger, the state diplomat.

I live around the corner from here, and 4/5 experiences are awful. The staff is incredibly rude and the food is usually soggy. The only plus to this place are the fries and sauce. Save yourself the anguish and go to Callie's next door. Far more worth the money and time. This last experience will be my final. Especially since they just raised their prices. Grade: F *most visits have been evening/night time.

This place is going down hill fast. The food is getting bad (Soggy) and the service is the rudest in the valley. Today I went through the drive thru and had alot of problems. I couldn't hear the lady on the speaker taking orders....I asked her to repeat what she was saying and there was a major timing issue with her pressing her mike button. Only half of what she is saying is coming through the mic. She got mad at me for asking her to repeat , nicely by the way. I asked for 1 additional fry sauce since they only gave me 1. She freaked out and asked for .25 for extra ones. I didn't have cash I paid with debit card. They have always given me 2, if you go inside they give you 4. Then my drink lid was too lose and coke spilled all over me as she handed me the drink. I had to take my shirt off at work and rinse in sink so I didnt have stains down the front of me. Not once a sorry just get out of my drive through. I have been coming here for 15 years..NEVER again.. Chick-Fil-A is down the road keep driving and go there.

Best bacon chessburger with fries there is available in Utah County. We have been to most all the hamburger joints in town. Apollo is the one we keep coming back to. They also have great salads which is usually what my wife gets. If you order the onion rings you will love them also but it's hard to eat them all.

Not a Good experience. The food is just like Crown Burger and Burger Supreme. The burgers are pretty tasteless. I don't care for the fries I prefer shoe string fries not Potato wedges. The small drink was about the size of a water cup at most places. The thing that gets me is that it's more expensive that most Burger places. Not worth it when there are many other good places in the area that are less expensive and have flavorful Burgers.

This place just makes a good old fashioned huge burger. Lots of different varieties, lots of fat and flavor. I was impressed. I got the Western BBQ burger and it was cooked right, and pretty tasty. Its pretty clear they specialize in burgers. Lots better than a drive in type with greasy food cooked by a teenager type place. Lots better than that. Next time I get a hanker for a big slab of beef with some onions and a bun, this will be my first choice. Wasn't greasy, wasn't sloppy. Just.... good.

I have long-loved this restaurant and used to come here often. It closely resembled Burger Supreme in Provo and Crown Burger in Salt Lake, voted best burger in Utah, but I loved Apollo Burger for their amazing fry sauce. They still have thick, amazing fries with the same, great fry sauce but they no longer offer shredded lettuce on their burgers, and give you loose leaf green lettuce that may look good, but tastes NASTY. It completely RUINS the burger. :( Why they had to change the lettuce, no one knows. But it has turned me off of their burgers forever. I occasionally make the mistake of ordering from here, only to remember why it isn't great anymore. I asked the staff if they could provide any shredded lettuce to replace on my burger, but they said they don't carry it anymore. If you want the same amazing taste as what Apollo Burger used to be, go down the street to Burger Supreme in Provo.

The idea is good, but the foundation is Shaky. The patty is just to small and dry to make a good burger. While the toppings they add sound good, they just lack freshness. If you do eat hear I'd recommend the Golden Burger.

If this place didn't have Coke Zero and a very friendly staff, this rating would be lower. As it turns out, they have both and in a decent enough mix. Fries were also solid, as usual. Consider it a 2.5. In my last review for one of these places, I noted this franchise has fallen way off, mostly due to the changes to their burgers, which I assume are an attempt to differentiate themselves from all their zillions of other Greek-related burger cousins or because of increasing overhead from all their recently opened locations. The changes have included a poor leaf lettuce, rather than shredded (I can live with this change) and a HUGE downgrade in bacon from the awesome thick-cut strips they had (which I can't live with). I went with another of their specialties, steering away from the laughable YBW and going instead for the portobello burger. If you've ever had poorly cooked portobellos, you already know that it's enough to make you want to stay away from all mushrooms altogether forever, while the well-done ones can have you seeking it out at all turns. This is one of the former and it's almost like they just took a pass at cooking it. This sort of half-assing forced me to eject about half of the mushroom out, as it was just vile, disgusting and nasty and obviously inedible. It's enough that I have very little inclination to ever eat at one of these again until they get themselves back together. Very sad to see this kind of downfall and decay at what used to be one of the more reliable chains...

I'd give them a zero if I could. Worst customer service I've ever seen. I waited 17 minutes in the drive up for a chicken stick then went in to see if they'd lost my order. I asked for the manager but supposedly the owner came out and started arguing with me. Seriously...instead of "I'm sorry you wasted a quarter tank of gas while waiting" I got "What do you want me to do about it?...and "you weren't waiting that long"...and I really was there that long...I'm not exaggerating. That was his response! If he really was the owner, then I don't see much hope for him surviving because his people skills and customer service are offensive. Oh...my chicken stick was overcooked and dry.

I appreciate a good fast-food burger along with the rest, and I never thought any place would give In-N-Out a run for it's money, but WOW this place is good! The burgers are messy and delicious. The fries are solid and the best thing is they come with "fry sauce". To us Easterners (ie: People who live in the real world), fry sauce does not exist. It is a combination of equal parts ketchup and mayo, and down here in Utah, they LOVE the stuff on fries. Well, I don't know why this place's fry sauce tastes so good but it's wicked good on fries, man. Also - down the street you'll notice a place called "Burger Supreme" which is the same place - same food, etc. The signs are similar too. But if you are in the area, and overwhelmed by the myriad of fast-food places here on State Street, absolutely go here!

This place feels as "Utah" to me as Mormons and big hair. It may not be, but my opinion is the only one that matters really. Amazing fries and fry sauces coming out your ears if you eat inside (limited quantity for the drive thru customers). The food selection is good and the quality is good in that I DONT CARE WHAT I PUT IN MY BODY AS LONG AS ITS TASTY AND FILLING sense of the word. My wife has perverse dreams about eating here, I have perverse nightmares after eating here. It IS greasy, but you do get lots of food and it is good albeit a gut bomb for sure.

I have been going to Apollo Burger since I was a kid. I used to love their hamburgers, but over time I have found them to be medicore. I don't think they use the highest quality burger, and it always seems like it is ground enough. I love the fry sauce, and the fries are good. They make great shakes, and live the Gyros. The best burger they have is the Golden Burger, on grilled sour dough bread. They also make pretty good fish and chips.

I live close to apollo burger in orem, but have never gone there before in the 4 yrs I've been in the area. I've thought about it sometimes, but have never tried it. Today, I decided to try it out and ordered 2 double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a drink. The fries REALLY filled me up! They were made of the highest quality and make the fries at In-and-Out taste like rotted banana peels in a garbage dumpster. If you like having fry sauce, then EAT INSIDE, because you can always have free refills of fry sauce while inside and you're going to need it for the fries! The char-broiled cheeseburgers make quite a meal! I could only manage to eat one before being completely stuffed and had to ask for a carry-out bag. The staff are very friendly, polite, and fast at food prep. The experience was so good, I had to go up and talk to the manager and THANK him for the food and his staff's service. I'm TOTALLY going back there some more next time, but will tend to order only enough food as I can finish! No wonder these guys stay in business!

Apollo Burger is my guilty pleasure. I can't say enough about their Golden burger or the Apollo Burger, these are both pastrami burgers. They have a quite diverse menu, so if you don't want a burger and everyone you are with want's to go, you are safe. With their menu selection there's something for everyone. I think the fries are excellent, the onion rings are ok, I like Sonics the best. I'm not a burger connoisseur but Apollo Burger gets a strong nod of approval, defiantly worth a taste. My only criticism is if you go at lunch with a group of more than 4 good luck finding a seat, it's always packed. I suppose that's a good sign.

Where I grew up, Greeks ran the best pizza places. Here in Utah, they run the best burger joints. I think Crown and Royal are better, but this place is good too.

Whenever I have a hankering for a burger at work and am sick of Wendy's, I love to come here. Apollo Burger is the exact same thing as Burger Supreme and so good. The burgers are really good size, and somehow they make fry sauce that I actually enjoy on my burger. A cheeseburger meal costs around $5.50, but they always give you a bunch of fries, which, I found today, they changed from soggy steak-type fries to crinkle fries. While I'm not the biggest fan of the crinkles, these are way crispier than the fries they had before and make me feel better about biting into one and not having to taste the grease more than the potato...I was pleasantly surprised. It almost makes you forget you're eating deep-fried starch! My chief complaint about Apollo is that they put shredded lettuce on their burgers - not a strong point. But no matter, everything else is great, especially the fact that they serve cherry coke - a definite plus. I ate my meal several hours ago and am still satisfied...mmm...love it. The reason the burgers are so good? They're freshly charbroiled. But we're not talking charbroiled like Burger King does it; rather, this place actually does it right, and your burger is fresh...it hasn't been sitting on a tray waiting for you to order it - you've got to love that. It's right next door to Callie's Cafe which, if you see my review on that, you should know to stay away from - even though when I was in the drive thru at Apollo I saw a bunch of cars in the parking lot and some high-school looking kids leaving the place. They must have been lured with free alcohol from Moe's, the adjoining tavern, to enter that establishment...ick...never again....ANYWHO...go to Apollo's not Callie's. The only part of the structure I don't like is the drive thru. I don't think it was initially set up for much of a line in the drive thru, since there's no room for more than three cars to wait in the line without blocking traffic in the lot...but it doesn't sway me. Simply stated, Apollo is tasty.

There's a number of Greek owned places. They all get compared to Crowne Burger. Overall, there's just degrees of difference in the menu and quality of preparation between all the places. The burgers are always overcooked until well past dry. They add a lot of toppings to make up for it. That makes is just like almost every other burger place. The difference is that I can get a grilled cheese or gyro here too. I like that. The fries have always existed for little other reason to transport fry sauce to my mouth. They are cooked well. Sometimes they are a little under salted, but they don't have much flavor. They make up for it with lots of fry sauce available. I'd rather go here than the big chains, but it's still a weak burger. It gets the 4 stars for trying to be better, even if the execution is not always spot on.
