Went for brunch and it was good. Flatbread Margherita style. Delicious. Wedge salad, quite good. Eggs Oscar was decent. Enjoyed that they used crab cake instead of just sprinkling shredded crab on top. Service was good. Still, looking at the menu, and noticing the overall demeanor of the restaurant, I couldn't help but think, "Olive Garden with lip stick".

I ordered a filet cooked medium and it clearly was delivered rare. Besides the steak being undercooked, I tried a piece of it and it was extremely tough, not what you would expect out of a $30.00 filet. The side items included mashed potates- which I told my boyfriend had a 'fishy' taste to them and some steamed veggies that seemed that they were kept in some sort of hot holding trough, overcooked, until plating. For a restaurant we expected to be fine dining, we expected much, much more. To add to the pain= The waitress was busy with a different large party and did not check on us until my boyfriend and I were almost finished our meal. Finally, when she returned to check on us, I pointed my filet out to her and she agreed it was undercooked and said she would mention it to the manager. Well, the manager never came around and the only thing that happened was that she said they were taking care of "our entire bill" which we thought was going to leave us with a zero balance. As my boyfriend and I were discussing how to leave a tip, the waitress presented with a bill for $35.00. I paid it and left an appropriate tip. I was dissatisfied by both the food and service by Brio. I would have liked to speak to a manager, but was never given the opportunity, apparently he/she was too busy to bother with our complaint. We both left hungry and unsatified by mediocre food and service. We will not return again. Short story- Overpriced menu, sub-par food, service and extremely poor guest resolution procedures.

I enjoy the $3 tasting menu in the bar during happy hour (3-7 PM). The burger is large enough to be an entree on it's own. The flatbread is delicious as well.

My wife and I spent our 15 year anniversary for lunch in this beautiful restaurant. The staff was nice and the service (Michael) was great! We started our course with the Bruschetta Quattro. Mmmm...it was the perfect appetizer. Got the Bistecca Insalata (lettuce wedge with ranch and bacon with tomatoes), was surprisingly good portion, and had the shrimp and crabcakes with crispy potatoes. It was totally delicious! For dessert, we tried the vanilla creme brulee and it did not disappoint. This place is so much better than OG or Macaroni Grill. It's very upscale but the price is surprisingly affordable. Love this place.

Don't overlook Brio thinking it's just another chain restaurant. Their light menu is packed with flavor, particularly their salmon dishes. It's an excellent choice when you're watching calories and/or wanting nutrient dense food. They also offer delicious gluten-free pasta! And the creme brûlée is divine.

Loved this place. If you're willing to spend a little more for dinner you can get some great food. Oh, and their desserts are incredible!

How do you make icky mashed potatoes??? Okay, to be fair, the bruschetta quatro & caprese were delicious appetizers. The tiramisu dessert was pretty dang light, fluffy, and dreamy too. Even the hazelnut latte I ordered with dessert was tasty. But the chicken under a brick lunch was a bit of a let down. The chicken was just okay, a little dry. And the potatoes, oh the potatoes... I don't know what it was, but to me, they tasted fishy. NOT a fan. Fair warning to you... just pick something else!!! The service was friendly, prompt, and professional. Absolutely no complaints with the staff.

This restaurant is way over priced for what you get we shared an appetizer and a meal I have a hard time spending this much on pasta go to Olive Garden if your having a pasta craving. The portions are a lot smaller at brio. It's good, but for how much you pay it's not that good. We really like Cheesecake Factory because even though they are expensive the serving sizes are huge and the taste is top notch. We ate here because we wanted to try something new we won't go back big time rip off. The service was good but for noodles and sauce there's other places that can fulfill that need for a lot less.

Visti one: Really enjoyed the bread and butter. The sourdough was perfectly sour. Then came the lobster bisque, and while tasty, the overall texture/consistency was a bit thick compared to what I'm used to. Loved the shrimp in it, however. My burger was fantastic. Thick, juicy, great bun, and cooked perfectly. At first glance I was worried that the sauces/toppings (roasted tomato mayonnaise and Pinot Noir onions) might get to be a bit much, but it was fantastic to the last bite. My wife's Chicken Under the Brick was very good too. We will definitely return as the menu is packed with items that sound great. Vist two: Tried the Sausage, Pepperoni & Ricotta Flatbread and was underwhelmed. The crust was burned on the edges and was just okay overall.

this place is awful for all the reasons I dislike most national chains. Where should I start? the decor is like a glorified Olive Garden meets Cheesecake Factory. The servers are so poorly trained and unprofessional, the food is mediocre at best and that is being nice. This was our first and last time at this joint

Really really like the Brio in Southlake, Texas... But the location in Utah is not as good. The service & the food is just not the same. The restaurant is beautiful and other than the closet bar that the state of Utah makes you deal with everywhere they were almost identical in looks..., but when you order the chicken Milanese and it comes out half the size as the one in Texas, you must question consistency with this chain. It is much better than the OG, but I only go there for the soup & salad. I'm not fond of the prices for what you get at Brio.... But unfortunately we don't have the best choices for great Italian in Utah... So I will continue to go until I find something better. Restaurant decor - 4 stars Food - 3.5 stars Service - 2.5 stars (don't make me ask for bread or drinks if we are eating at the bar)

This place just opened up and 6 of us ladies went there today for a birthday lunch. The menu is wonderful with many choices to please everyone. I had such a hard time deciding, but ordered the spicy grilled shrimp w/orzo. We ordered the Bruchetta quattro for an appetizer, which consisted of 2 pieces each of 4 different bruchettas. I had the sliced steak piece and part of the red pepper. Both very good, but liked the steak better. My entree was very good. The shrimp was not very spicy but still very flavorful. The orzo had cherry tomatoes, zucchini and asparagus mixed in. The veggies were awesome. Although I usually hate asparagus, I ate it all. It didn't have that chewy stringy texture it normally has. The staff there was attentive and friendly. The place is brand new so the managers were walking around checking in with the guests to make sure everything was OK. Our server was also wonderful and kept our iced teas and waters filled without having to ask. The staff, atmosphere and the food are exceptional. I highly recommend it.

No. Microwave spinach artichoke dip. Hard tortilla flatbreads. Salad wilted from too much dressing. Terrible place for the prices they are charging. Stupid music. Stay home and make spaghetti.

Amazing wait staff who are all super attentive, a lovely atmosphere, and mind numbing lobster bisque. I literally come here just for the lobster bisque. It's amazing and creamy and eating it makes me feel like someone is cuddling my insides with warmth and deliciousness. An occasional lunch or dinner here helps me temporarily forget that I'm a college student and I'm broke as F and I probably shouldn't be eating here anyway. It's like alcohol without the black outs and regrets. Note: visit during the holiday season. They decorate it lavishly and I feel FANCY SCHMANCY. Like I should be wearing a slinky cocktail dress and a fur pelt and James Bond should be my escort and I should be drinking martinis with two olives, shaken not stirred.

Loved this addition to Fashion Place Mall. The interior was spacious and nicely decorated. Service was superb, we had a big party, and the servers didn't miss a beat. My favorite was the shrimp and lobster fettucine. Their "tuscan" style of pasta was unique and divine. The sauce was not too rich as I would have expected in a fettucine dish, but was still a wonderful delight. Other highlights of the night: brushetta quattro appetizer and the house salad (meditteranean flair). Cons: chicken brio pasta was average, a bit bland, and quite forgettable.

We had a party of five, some ordered soup or salad, all had entrees, some had wine, beer, or something other than water, and some ordered dessert. All the food was excellent, and our server was very nice and patient (sometimes my dad can be hard to read and therefore a handful), and that part of the experience was all good. We were there on Wednesday, which is suppose is significant only in that they have live music on Wednesdays. My advice is don't go on these nights. I don't know whoever their jazz trio is, but hopefully they aren't the regular group. If they are, I hope they have had a few more rehearsals by the time you visit. It is worth eating here, just ask to be seated in the back, where you can't hear them very well.

I gave it three stars, which is A-OK, but that's it, just OK. We decided to try Brio on a chilly Sunday evening, and were treated to a quiet, attentive visit. Our server was happy to answer any questions and go over anything we were curious about. We decided to try the lobster bisque due to her urging, and while we weren't disappointed, we were wondering if we would have been happier with an appetizer. We ordered the lasagna and the shrimp risotto, planning on sharing them. We were hungry, but not too happy. The lasagna was swimming in sauce, and was nothing remarkable. The flavors of the risotto were good, but it seemed a little overcooked (but I am a risotto snob). They did redeem themselves with dessert. The creme brulee was wonderful and the chocolate caramel trifle thing had layer upon layer of sweet goodness. I might give it another shot, but I'm not in a hurry given the prices and the lack of wow factor.

The Key to Brio is the BAR - 5pm-7pm and then 9pm to close - $5.00 cocktails and a Bar menu full of great item's for less than $5.00. Wednesday nights include music. Can't beat it for the price.

They have good bread basket and appetizer style dishes...but it's a bit sterile and there is nothing all that special about the food nor the service.... Someone mentioned Olive Garden with a lipstick and I have to concur....

Good food, good service. I do agree with others that it is pricey for what you get. Portion sizes were a little small for the price you pay, however, everyone enjoyed their meal and apps and salads were very good. I would definitely come back here again.

After having not been able to go to Tea Rose or Cheesecake Factory, my boyfriend and I thought it was about time to try out Brio. I have felt pretty indifferent about writing a review, and that's not really a good or a bad sign, so I guess the 3 stars is accurate. But anyways, to the food. We ordered the bruschetta sampler plate, the lasagna, and the lobster bisque. The overall favorite was the sampler plate hands down, I would probably come back here alone for that, but only if I was really craving it because it was a little on the pricey side. Actually, everything here is kind of on that end, and normally I don't mind a higher premium for food if I think it's worth it. But the food wasn't really that great. The lasagna was just as good as if we got Stouffer's (which I actually think is fine for what it is), but the lobster bisque tasted like there was no hint of lobster and was basically just fishy smelling. So even though the bruschetta was really good, I just don't see myself coming back here. The ambience is nice though.

Too expensive but great staff and great food. Too much money for too small portions, and they didn't give us bread or anything for coming in? My brother-in-law who lives in Vegas and loves Brio that they do have bread starters there, and he was surprised at how expensive the prices were. Sorry guys, I expect more for my money than you offer right now. I have hopes that they will fix these issues though. Had the beef medallions with shrimp. It was awesome, but I expected more food for $23 If you want fancy expensive Italian you might consider Lugano's

Wavering between 2 & 3 stars here .... I guess I'm feeling generous today. The restaurant is gorgeous inside. We went on a Sunday evening & had the place almost all to ourselves .... So when they tried to seat us right next to one of the only other parties eating, we politely asked if we could instead sit one row over next to the windows. The hostess obliged, though with little personality or friendliness. We first ordered drinks from the bar & the bruschetta app. Few minutes later our waiter brought us water & took our entree orders, and then was right back with our drinks. Then we started chatting & lost track of time until a runner was asking us which one of us had the Brio platter & which had the ravioli. No warm bread, no appetizer, nothing. Our waiter was right behind the runner & he noticed we didn't have the app or bread & was apologetic. We took our entrees since we were starving & basically had out bruschetta for dessert when it came out 10 minutes later. The food was good. Nothing excellent, but filling. I think I would have liked it more had everything been priced 2-3$ less. The portions were OK, but again, for the price, kind of small. I don't mind paying this type of price for food that actually blows me away, but Brio just wasn't it for me, and the lack of customer service & attention from our waiter, on a night where he had plenty of time to be focused, just didn't leave a sparkling 5-star impression on me. They did end up taking the app off our bill, which is what they should have done but nice nonetheless. I'd go back to Brio, but I'm really not in a rush to.

We had been out birthday shopping and Brio was suggested by our sales associate at Nordies. It was an early Friday dinner, so no waiting. Everything we ordered was really well prepared. Our server was patient and accommodating, but not really aware of some hidden meat ingredients for the vegetarian among us, that is really not unusual. A decent wine list- and a new place to stop in East Salt Lake!

Anytime I hear that there is more than a 30 minute wait for a restaurant and I am foolish enough to stay, I send out a prayer to the culinary gods that this time the food will be worth the wait. Sadly, Brio is not. I wish they could train their hostesses how to better estimate the time to sit a party of four. If it will be over and hour, tell me and I will decide if I want to wait. Don't tell me 30 minutes and then when I ask how much longer, tell me another 30 minutes. Also, this isn't New York City. The attitude is better left to a really fine eating establishment. That being said the Bruschetta Quattro was very good with a great sampling of Italian flavors. The Calamari Fritto Misto was serviceable but nothing special. The Chicken Limone was good but needed more bite from the capers and more acid from the lemons. My wife had the Grilled Shrimp and Orzo and was the best thing we had that night. I'd return on a Wednesday afternoon at 3:47 to ensure I didn't have to wait for a table nor endure the snobbery of the front desk but otherwise there are better places for Italian food that seem to appreciate your business more.

The food can be really very, very good. I came here for a Yelp event, and have come for dinner three times since then, so I feel like I've given it a good try. There are a few things that are great. The crab cakes (which I can't afford) and the Calamari (which I also can't afford), and the chicken and sweet potato risotto is something I often think of fondly. It's also something I could easily figure out how to make at home and feed two families for the price of one helping. That makes it hard to justify. Some of the bruschettas are really good as well. My problem is that I just have a hard time justifying paying no less than $16 for an entree at a chain place that doesn't seem to be very consistent. I just end up looking around and feeling like I'm paying for all seven hundred of their badly made marble counter tops. The last time I was here, my mother and I decided to share the risotto. The kitchen split it for us, which was nice, but the portions were uneven, and amounted to way less than the amount I was served the time before (I know because last time it was all I ordered, and I brought more than half of it home. This time I was almost stuffed with the bruschetta sampler when it came out, and I ate it all and wanted more.) Besides that, my tiny smear of risotto on a plate came out cold, and that made me really sad. The service is always great. The people here are all friendly and on top of their game, which I appreciate. They have a full bar, with a bar area, and also a nice outdoor patio. They have weekday food and drink specials in the bar so that is something I would definitely be down for, and I will for sure come back here for dinner, especially when someone who really loves chain restaurants is footing the bill. Heart you, Mom!

So the decor is FABULOUS. That was he highlight. The bread was nice and warm which is always a nice thing to find in restaurants. I ordered beef medallions with shrimp and the was lackluster flavor at best. Same for the dish my friend ordered. The apple bread pudding was delicious! that was about the only highlight for the meal. Overpriced for what you get.

I got a chance to eat here for lunch, on someone else's dime, so YES, I took it. We ordered the appetizer that is a sampler of different bruchettas. They were all fantastic, particularly liked the asparagus one, and the red pepper one. I didn't get to try the steak one, and oh, and the other one I tried was good too, so....actually, all of them. I really think these may turn out to be my favorite thing there. I tried their lunch special, trout with veggies, and I SWEAR the menu said red potatoes, but they were not to be found on my plate when it came. I have never ordered trout from a restaurant before, always have eaten it fresh out of a lake over a campfire, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But it was actually really good. Tasted a lot like butter, so you can't go wrong there, but the seasonings were good and it was served well. The veggies were just the right crispiness and also had very good flavor. The prices were significantly higher than other joints around, the lunch plates were around $13-$17, and portions smaller. It's definitely a fancier place. But, it was tasty. I have no complaints about the food. The lunch hour was really pretty busy and our server seemed a little frazzled, but it's a brand new place so...give it time. I'm sure they'll hit their grove. Though frazzled, she was still very nice and we never lacked for attention to water, etc throughout the meal. The interior is beautiful. Vaulted ceilings, cloth tablecloths, nice nice nice. I'd go back for sure. But more likely if someone else is dishing the dough, or for a really special occasion. Oh, and grab a few of those mints on the way out. YUM.

Brio's Tuscan cuisine is clearly very Americanized. Both times that I have eaten there, I have enjoyed the food. However, if you are looking for genuine Tuscan, this is not your place. The crab cake entree, the calamari appetizer, and the steak salad are all tasty, as are many of the items on Brio's healthy-diner-considerate "Lighter Side" Menu. Brio's decor reminds me of a hotel in Vegas. But the main issue, is the general crowdedness. Last time I dined there, we called ahead and were told that our party of 3 could be seated at 6:00. We checked in with a hostess at 5:55 and she told us it would be a short wait. 45 mins later, we got a table. The problem isn't that they were overbooked, requiring us to wait, the problem is that the hostess wasn't honesty about how long we would have to wait.

My girlfriends came for a night out during the week. Service was great right off the bat, and continued as the restaurant became busier! EVERYTHING we had was fantastic. Didn't feel rushed. I tried the steak and artichoke dish. Had always ordered pasta, now have more to choose from! Will definitely go back. Nice relaxing night!

We stopped by Brio on a Friday night, just before Christmas. It was crowded and we had a 45 minute wait, but having the mall right there was very convenient. I gave my cell number so I could receive a text when our table was ready. Unfortunately, I never received the text! We checked back with the restaurant, they said they had texted us for our table. Even though we didn't get the text, they were very accommodating and got our party of 4 seated. The service was great and the wait staff were all very friendly and knowledgable. None of us felt like appetizers, and decided to just order our entrees. Between the 4 of us we all ordered something different. My daughter wanted just pasta with marinara. This isn't on the menu, but they prepared it for her anyway, and she said it was delicious. I had the Shrimp Verduta and it was amazing! Mt husband had the Lasagne Bolognese and my son had the Pasta Fra Diavolo. We all enjoyed our meals and the portion size was great! I would recommend Brio! We had a great experience!

Puts olive garden to shame! My girlfriend and I shared the Filetto Di Manzo Toscano and it was delicious! Portion sizes were very decent, we didn't even finish our whole meal. They claimed that you can cut the filet with a spoon and while we didn't have a spoon to test with, I tried with a fork and they were right! We loved the mashed potatoes, they had just the right amount of seasoning & the roasted vegetables were great. My mouth is watering just writing this! We added on the Bistecca Insalata for 3.95 and it was huge and delicious! For some reason I decided I also needed to order a side of the Potatoes Brio as well and for 3.95 you get quite a bit! They were a great choice but I will probably skip them next time, it just ended up being too much food for the two of us. All in all, we had a great waiter, friendly service, amazing food and all for a great value. We will definitely be back!

This is a nice romantic restaurant will great food. I have been twice to this place and I havent been disappointed the frist visit I got the Penne al la Vodka a light dish with a nice Vodka cream sauce it also came with a side salad and a drink. The second visit was far better then the first I was able to get a special that they had that was Osso Buco a nice meat dish with a rich meaty beefy sauce and a side of vegtables it was amazing. It is hard to find a good Osso Bucco in Utah without having to sell your arm and your leg. Overall the food was great but the service was a little shady but not by enough for me to give it three stars. Please enjoy....

I've been here twice now and and the service has been horrible. Both times it was not even busy and we have just sat there for a long time without being served. This last time we walked out before being served because we sat there for so long. Our waitress was just chatting with the hostess and when she finally glanced at us we waved that we were ready and she ignored us, then she walked past us to the back with the hostess, completely ignoring us. Checked on a table across from us but never checked us. Very unhappy, won't be back.

I got the salmon it was really good the vegtables were really good. Average priced. I would say the value is 4/5 stars. A really nice restaurant. Their bread was really good. My wife got the lasagna and she really liked that too. Glad I went, it was a good experience but there are places I like better.

Wednesday night at Brio at Fashion Place offers $5.00 cocktails and happy hour for small plates runs from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Brio also employs a great DJ who will take you on a musical journey. Good music + good food + good drinks = 4 stars

  • Ryan W.

We love going here. The Fashion Place location has a vegas style decoration feel to it, it's open and airy, but it's done in a way that feels like it would be in the Bellagio. Not a negative, but I wouldn't call this place elegant. The food is amazing, that's why we keep coming back. I don't know who our waiter was, the first time we were here, but we relied heavily on him to pick the best parts of the menu and he certainly was correct on everything. We started off with the Bruschetta Quattro, which is the perfect sampler of their amazing bruschettas, and with two pieces of each, the perfect thing to share with your date. Ours came with the Margherita, Sausage, Pepperoni & Ricotta, Sliced Steak, and the Applewood Bacon & Tomato Jam offerings and each was more delicious than the last. I would suggest starting with the Margherita which, while delicious, is less flavorful than the rest and a great way to prepare yourself for the experience to come. My favorite had to be the sliced steak and gorgonzola; steak was medium rare, and the zip of the gorgonzola paired well with the arugula garnish. For our entree, I had the Gorgonzola Crusted Lamb Chops and my wife had the Grilled Salmon Fresca. They were simply divine. The lamb was expertly cooked; it fell off the bone, and the gorgonzola crust was a delicious counter point to the earthy flavor of the grilled lamb. My wife very much enjoyed the salmon; she said it was well cooked and was fresh, so there was no strong salmon taste or odor, which is sadly too common elsewhere. For desert, we had the Dolchino Trio, which came with three deserts for us to share. We had the caramel mascarpone cheesecake, a butterscotch bread pudding and a chocolate cake, with vanilla ice cream and a chocolate ganache. All three were amazing, and we were definitely glad that we had all three to try. We go back to Brio often; it's much better fare than you'd get at any other chain italian restaurant and it's priced right for the incredible service and delicious dishes.

Brio has failed to live up to my expectations for their entrées. While many in my party enjoyed their dish I found my pasta over cooked and appeared to sit under the heat lamp waiting for the rest of the tables orders to be finished. I am thankful the management provided me with some welcome back gift cards for the previous experience as they covered the meal which I would have not been happy paying for. The service was excellent and on top of our orders and drink refills & bar orders which earns five stars however the food; the main reason for coming earns zero and I'm unable to leave a half star I will round down in hopes the menu will improve in the future but I'm not holding my breath. (And I should as I fee like I ate a few dozen cloves of garlic with my meal, I like garlic but come on!) Also please do something about the music .... If this is an Italian concept why are you playing annoying soft pop music?

Celebrated an anniversary here Saturday evening and it turned into the best decision besides marrying my hubby! The ambience makes one feel like they've stepped into an elegant restaurant off the coast of Italy. (I should know since I've been there 3x visiting family). First, make sure you ask to be seated in John's section. This personal and experienced server made our dining experience A+. He went above and beyond to make us feel special and especially offering our granddaughter to make her own pizza table side !! What a fun experience she had. I was very impressed with this gesture. The food was spot on and like many Yelpers have mentioned, you Must get the Bruschetta Quattro appetizer. You will thank me later!! Even one of the managers stopped by our table to give us a handwritten Happy Anniversary card with a complimentary appetizer on our next visit. Thoughtful gestures like this will keep me coming back often. So if you're celebrating any event or just want the best food, memorable dining experience, you will not go wrong coming to the Fashion Place location. Make sure you ask for John as a server, is impeccable timing which he's mastered not to mention he'll make your dining experience pleasurable. I'm planning my next visit as I'm writing this.

This place is really ok. I like the atmosphere there but simply the food didn't have a unique taste that made me remember how it even tasted like. It wasn't very bad because I did eat it, but it wasn't wow either :S The server was very nice though, that is about it. I doubt that I will go there again, but anything is possible.

Loved the service and of course the food. We were greeted upon entering and seated promptly. The server was so on the ball she was very attentive and took great care of us. We ordered many items so we could share and compare. :-) Absolutely loved the Beef Carpaccio the best, they sliced that meat so thin about the thickness of paper, and the mustard aioli was so flavorful. The shrimp risotto was perfectly cooked and had a delicate and balanced flavor. The desserts on the other hand were a bit sweet, and overpowering with sugar. Not sure I would get them again and will stick to what they are good at.

Well, I've been here a numerous amount of times.. so I got a taste of many items on the menu. People love to come here for their birthdays and they're great on service though most nights, it's a long wait. First off, every single time I've been here, I start with the Bistecca Insalata. It's just a normal wedge salad, right? WRONG! For some reason my obsession with this place started because of this salad. Sometimes I randomly crave the salad, and only the salad. This is a wedge of lettuce that is topped with gorgonzola, bacon, roma tomatoes, and creamy, DELICIOUS, parmesan dressing. The dressing is to die for! I've had wedge salads at other places but they don't come close. As for pastas, I've had quite a selection. Listed in order by favorites: Lobster & Shrimp Fettuccini, Pasta BRIO, Capanelle Carbonara, Shrimp Verduta, and Chicken Limone. They are all quite good in their own ways. Pasta is almost always cooked Al Dente, which I prefer. Their sauces aren't like typical pasta places I've tried, each one has it's own twist of flavors. You also get a basket of sour dough bread and some herb-y..cracker-like, chip... thing? Haha, no idea what it is exactly, but I do enjoy it!

I had the quattro bruschetta, and it was amazeballs. The creme brulee however was underwhelming.

Absolutely horrible service! There is no excuse when you only have two tables, then only our table. Skipped drink orders, not listening to appetizer orders, slowwww refills, had to ask for bread and then limited and rationed. Our waitress was more concerned with doing closing work to get out quick literally focusing on the outdoor patio. If the service sucks it really doesn't matter how the food is. Very dissapointed

i have been here several times since they've opened and i find their food to be average. brio is like a more upscale version of olive garden. however you don't get unlimited soup or salad with your entree. and their entrees are pricier here too. i find that they're never crowded here and you usually don't have to wait for a table. i usually get a glass of wine and their gluten free pasta brio. their pasta brio has chicken, seared mushrooms, with a red pepper sauce. i always substitute the chicken with shrimp instead and they've always happily done it. it's $15.95 which is way overpriced for what you get. it is good, but not good enough where i ever crave it or think about it when not there. they always have good service and i've never been disappointed. i just think the entrees are way too expensive, especially since it does not come with soup or salad.

Tiramisu shooter was delicious. My favorite is the shrimp and chicken scampi. Attentive waiters here versus other brio's I've been too. They had a group area, but it was connected to the kitchen. So it was very hard to hear the presentation. Perhaps get something a little more sound proof.

Great service, great ambiance, great food. We ordered the bruschetta sampler and all were absolutely delicious. For lunch I had a white peach Palmer which was great, some lobster bisque which was divine and the wedge salad which was also incredibly good. I like to hit up a restaurant a few times and definitely for dinner before I give a five star review but today's experience was on point.

Came here for a work provided lunch. The food was was Great, the decor was very pleasant, but the service was poor. Even in the middle of the day when there were probably only 4 other tables in the restaurant. Sadly, our server(s) weren't able to keep refills on the table at all. It's like the more courses you serve, the less time you have to actually take care of your customer. It wasn't horrible, but two people didn't get the dessert they ordered, one person didn't get their dessert at all, and most of us didn't even get one refill in the 1:35 min we were there. Hopefully this being a new place, they are just still trying to work the kinks out, but I will be hesitant to give them another shot.

Loved everything. Ordered a peach Bellini and the pasta pesto. It was light and under 500 calories so great for watching your weight. Had Anya as my server and she was very pleasant and prompt. The setting is the best part of Brio. Soft music. Bright natural lighting. It feels like an outdoor cafe, but inside. Best time to come is around 2, lunch rush is done and it is a little more tamed down.

Atmosphere is very warm and moderately formal, which I greatly enjoy. We shared the lobster bisque, very good, and a bruschetta insalata (wedge salad), also very good. Entrees consisted of mezzanine chicken lemon, piccata style, and the roasted vegetable panini. Portions are large and appealing. We enjoyed everything and will definitely return!

My friends and I come here a lot for happy hour! They have a great happy hour on weekdays from 4-6pm with half off appetizers and $5 drinks! Great deal! The appetizers are pretty big portions for what you pay and the drinks are a little weak but made well! My favorites are the black pepper shrimp and white sangria =) My friends and I also have tried dinner here and it didn't disappoint! We had the bruschetta sampler which was my favorite of the night and I had a pasta dish with shrimp. For dessert we shared the creme brulee and bread pudding. mmMm

Amazing food! Great attention to flavors and textures and the perfect bite. My husband and I shared a late night light dinner of sliced steak salad (my favorite salad ever), a delicious lobster bisque and a to die for cheesecake with just enough carmelized sugar and anglaise sauce to make each bite a delightful experience. Never disappointed here.

This is another sort of high end chain, which features some incredibly intricate and immaculate decor, nothing short of utterly fantastic and reminiscent of some of the very high end places in Vegas. It also shares some commonality with the decor of Cheesecake Factory to the south, but the food is notably and substantially better here. That doesn't mean it's great, however. The antipasti brushetta appetizer we had was excellent, if a bit sloppy. That and the bread bowls were a definite high point, as was our server, formerly hailing from Arizona. She, in fact, is nearly the archetype of servers I like, just missing the exact mark by coming over a bit too infrequently for my measure. The calamari was a mixed bag. The sauces it came with were bland (marinara) and atrocious (whatever the garlic sauce nonsense is called). I liked the calamari for the most part and the fried pepperoncinis, but I kept hitting pockets of salt, which definitely lessened my enjoyment significantly. Iced tea was acceptable, but not much more. For entrees, not trusting them with anything tomato-based after the awful marinara, I skipped the Shrimp Diavolo I was considering and went with the sweet potato risotto, which had alternately perfectly cooked pancetta mixed with undercooked. The entire thing, while decent-tasting, was far too rich (greasy) for my liking and needed some balance, such as a good solid fistful of capers, to really round it out. In fact, had it had capers, it would have really been something. My companions had various items and seemed to enjoy them, from pork chops to lamb chops. Wife had the ravioli, which is almost always a mistake for her to order, as she is very fussy about that, but she actually rather considerably enjoyed it. For dessert, we had a creme brulee, which, like all other creme brulees without it, really needed a good splash of Grand Marnier. Other than that, it was fine. Chocolate lava and triple layer cakes my companions had seemed to also go over well. This is not a bad place to spend time, but we spent a lot more of it than we should have. Partly this was due to them trying to time everything to come out at the same time. I recognize that, but this was a bit excessive there. Is there better out there? No question, but it's a very good, "safe", solid choice and works on a lot of levels and if you factor in the chain element, it's very, very well done.

My main recollection is the scent of our server. she smelt like Heaven :) ..... that was awesome lol, she was reaching over me several times so that was quite beneficial LOLOLOLLLLLOLLL Okay im quite certain we had a reservation...but they didnt have it...got us sorted all the same. Made good memories here with the geek squad. waitress was pleasant and gets a 5. Dont know why I wont give them a 5 but anyway. She was great. dunno her name. We had questions she answered and customized requests she made good on. I loved our appetizers which I dont recall....some form of a bruschetta and whatever else. My drink was fab. My dish was light and pleasant. The environ was nice as expected. Loads of birthday type gatherings, loads of the beautiful, but there was loads of that in utah... surprisingly so. Someone got mad at how pretty they all were and thought in so many words they were putting on like Stepfords. Id rather have less sloppy mop top carefree living irresponsible breeders in the world spurting out spawn nobody wants. But this is a Brio review . So yeah, it was awesome. Enjoyable. recommended for low key private and intimate dining experience.

This place is ok. I think the ambiance is wonderful which can give it the illusion of being a nice Italian Restaurant but food wise I agree with another reviewer it's just meh, maybe a couple of steps above Olive Garden although Brio's has a much nicer presentation. I had been wanting to try this place and finally did. Italian is my favorite food but I won't be returning to this restaurant again. The food isn't good enough to want to try again and definitely not worth the price. It also didn't help that I almost drank a fruit fly in my wine and when I notified my server I had to tell him to bring me a new glass he wasn't about to offer and then he came back with only the amount I had left in my glass. Call my crazy but if a patron has a bug in their food/drink you should probably replace the whole thing no charge and maybe comp some things. I wasn't in the mood so I paid, tipped and left without complaining.

I've eaten at this restaurant twice, both times for lunch. The selections are ample and the prices for the lunch and gluten-free specials are reasonable. The bread basket is a highlight, especially the spicy flatbread. The salads are delightful and right-sized. I haven't tried the pasta or other entrees, so cannot comment. They don't mind split checks, but the waiter we had the other day figured our checks all wrong. He mis-priced the entrees (too low) and forgot to add the drinks to the bill. It took him some time to re-do the checks and they were still somewhat messed up, but at least had the right items on them the second time around. This is a nice restaurant for a ladies lunch or nice day out.

Went for a group dinner and we were happy that they were very accommodating with our party of 15. They gladly accepted a reservation and had our table ready at the exact time despite it being a very busy Saturday night. My only minor gripe was with the server who had asked a few people in our party if they wanted soup or salad with their entree without disclosing that it wasn't included. I understand that it would have been stated on the menu if it were part of the meal, but just the way it was asked was a bit sneaky to me. I had the lasagna which was very tasty. It was a pretty large portion with a good ratio of sausage, cheese, tomato sauce and pasta. In the past, I've also tried the carbonara, pasta alla vodka and risotto which were all quite good.

I had my first experience at Brio after hearing great reviews from friends and family. I had the French Toast and it was delicious, high quality and taste and very filling. The service was prompt and excellent. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the restaurant is very spacious with high ceilings and lots of light. It definitely doesn't feel cramped like most Cheesecake Factories feel. Am going back this week.

I like this place, I just don't LIKE-LIKE this place. It's a step- no a few steps above Olive Garden, but a few steps below Carrabas. I don't like their bread starter. It's just rosemary crackers, hard sourdough, and butter. Pretty boring. Service has always been good, but lacking personality. Food is alright, nothing I crave or want to go out of my way to have. As a matter of fact- I only come here if Nordstrom Cafe is closed...

Food was good. Over priced. The worst part was being rushed. Within 5 minuets of being sat we were asked 3 times if we were ready to order. The waitress was not aware of the menu, and didn't care to elaborate on anything when asked. The main dish came out about 5 min after getting salads. We ate for about 20 min and were then Asked if we needed boxes before we were done eating. We won't be going back.

Brio continues to impress and surprise me. I love this place. From each of their amazing bruschettas, to the delicious things they do with cheeses and sauces, to the tasty adult beverages, to the absolutely *exquisite* desserts, Brio is exactly what I expect in a fine Italian restaurant. We were there recently for another impressive dinner. Between everything I've ever eaten here, including the sampler plates at a fall Yelp event, I've never had a single thing that didn't qualify as delicious. And I'm picky about my Italian food. Just ask my Italian father-in-law. A few highlights from our most recent meal: - The roasted red pepper bruschetta was my pick among the four. Flavors to die for. - The Peach Bellini was perfect. Smoothly blended with peach nectar, peach schnapps, and topped with a shot of Prosecco. Between this and their Peach Sangria, I can never decide which is my favorite. - The Lobster & Shrimp Ravioli served with Crab Insalata was superb. May be the best entree I've had there yet. The subtle Limoncello butter sauce was manna from heaven. The Crab Insalata was served with the most wonderful lemon vinaigrette. The ravioli itself was a paragon of precisely how ravioli should be served. Barely past al dente, and stuffed so impeccably with lobster and shrimp. It was divine. - Hubby had the Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops. Two large chops, served with creamy mashed potatoes and freshly roasted veggies. Cooked perfectly, and very tasty, according to him. - Our dining partner ordered one of the Chef's features for the evening; Italian Sausage Spaghettini Pomodoro. This guy is Italian, and knows good Italian food. He raved about the flavors presented with this dish. He particularly loved the Pomodoro sauce. - Now, the best part - dessert! Their Mascarpone Cheesecake strewn with caramel sauce is so good, I think I blacked out from sheer palate pleasure at one point. It's honestly all I can do not to be back there eating another right now. We were all so full, but at the description, Hubby and I couldn't resist sharing one. I immediately regretted that decision after the first bite. I'm rarely even interested in dessert, but when our server spoke the word 'Mascarpone,' something overtook me, and I was powerless. I strongly suspect that I'll be back there PDQ, just for this. It was transcendant. Brio is not designed for the budget-minded. Our dinner for three came in just over $125. But considering the beautiful interior, the above-par service we have always experienced, and the flawless food, it's a splendid treat from time to time. When coming to Brio on a weekend evening, parking can be somewhat scarce around this area of the mall. Brio offers free valet parking for customers, so if you're comfortable with it, take advantage of that. Someday I'll make it to Tuscany so I can compare it to Brio.

Came here for a late lunch and left pretty unimpressed. Our appetizer of steak bruschetta was great. Our party ordered a salad, which was composed of way too many onions; lemon chicken piccata, which was cold and greasy; and the chicken sweet potato risotto, which tasted completely like bacon grease. So, including our appetizer, we were one for four with our meal. Add inattentive and a slightly sassy service, we left unimpressed. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Due to my awesome pumpkin carving skills I won a very generous gift card to Brio Tuscan Grille at a Yelp Elite party last October. The gift card was given by the management of the restaurant and I was super lucky to win. So with gift card in hand and the holiday craziness finally over the wife and I went out to Brio last week. If you haven't been to Brio yet there is one world and one world alone to describe it: IMPRESSIVE! Brio is simply that, impressive -- from the beautiful interior and design to the food and drinks they serve. Now I'm no aficionado of Italian cuisine. Sure I like it and eat a lot of it, but who doesn't? Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen it seems. But Brio Tuscan Grille is without question the best Italian restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining at. One of my biggest gripes with most Italian food is the lack of spice. I like foods with flavor and far too often the Italian food I've eaten elsewhere is bland and boring. Not so with Brio! Their dishes have great flavor and spice and of course they are also great tasting. Our first visit to Brio started off with some drinks, I ordered a speciality martini, and a shrimp and eggplant dish called Spicy Shrimp with Eggplant. The martini was great and the shrimp was absolutely delicious! It had a great flavor, spicy but not over the top, and it was cooked just right. For dinner I ordered the Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops at the recommendation of our server Mckay and my wife ordered some pasta dish. You may not believe me when I say this, but the Tuscan Grilled Pork Chops were without question the best pork chops I've ever had. They were well marinated, had a great flavor, and were cooked just right. My wife's pasta was also great. Our first dinner at Brio was wonderful. The food was superb and our server Mckay was awesome. He took great care of us and had a great personality too. We've been back to Brio one time since and the experience was also top notch. I love this restaurant and I look forward to eating here many more times! Final word of advice -- Make a reservation. Waits of 30 minutes to an hour are not uncommon and reservations help you avoid unnecessary waiting.

Service sucks!!! For how many servers there are, our server was MIA. No refills, no bread, we literally had to ask random servers and bussers. Granted it was a Friday night but what a joke. My pasta was $23 and it was tasteless. For these prices I rather go to Tuscanny. Everything is a la carte. So its Olive Garden but so much more expensive. The place inside is nice but not worth the price for being connected to a mall. Not worth the money, food or service. Highly disappointed.

My food was okay. I ordered the sweet potatoe mash w turkey. My eggs were runny and there wasn't any jam or butter for my toast. Our waitress, Liss B., was rude and acted inconvenienced every time we asked her for anything (which was frequent, because she forgot everything). When I ordered coffee and mentioned I had an allergy to half and half she brought it anyways and made an excuse, it was also spilled all over the saucer. The ambience was nice however.

Our family has been to Brio a number of times. We always start our meal with the Lobster Bisque - it's the BEST lobster bisque I have ever had, and I have had plenty. It's got shrimp, and sherry...and something that gives it a little kick. It's $5.95 Today we tried the Sliced Steak Bruschetta appetizer. It's sliced steak, Gorgonzola Dolce, arugula, fennel, charred tomato, shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano and Tuscan Italian dressing a top a crispy bruschetta. It's terribly delicious, all of the flavors work very well together. It's $12.95 I have tried a number of things on the menu, and always been very impressed with them. My favorite item is the Gorgonzola Crusted Bistecca, it's served with mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables. It's a lot of food, and one of the pricier items - So, I don't get this each time. It's about $28. Most of the pastas range from $11.95-$20.95. Today I ordered something from their "Lighter Menu" - I ordered the Chicken Marsala, it's 450 calories, and $12.95. This dish reminds me of a Healthy Choice microwave dish in taste, and in presentation. The manager noticed I didn't care for my food, and asked me to pick anything else on the menu and he would box it up for me to take home. Unexpected, and terribly nice. I chose the Fettuccine Campania, it's the cheapest pasta on the menu, and I didn't want to choose a real pricey item. $11.95. My husband ordered the lasagna, unfortunately our waitress came back from the kitchen and said "We are out of lasagna, you'll have to choose something else." He chose the Lobster & Shrimp Ravioli with Crab Insalata. The lasagna is $17.65 and the Lobster & Shrimp Ravioli is $20.95. We personally feel they should have brought him the ravioli, but only charged us the lasagna price - since, they were out of it. My husband also always orders the Cucumber Gimlet with gin. It's refreshing and delicious. It has a nice cucumber flavor, and they add fresh basil to it. I think it's $7. Children are entertained with crayons, they can color on their menus, or on the table, they are also brought out pizza dough to play with and make their own pizza (whatever toppings they wish) - and this is all FREE. All tables are served complimentary bread and butter before meals. And I usually drink beer, or water...they serve Pepsi products. I prefer diet coke, but that's just me.

The White Peach Palmer is to die for! The roasted red pepper bruschetta was the best appetizer ever. Our waiter was wonderful and gave us great recommendations. Everything is made fresh and in house and it's all so delicious. 10/10 would eat here again.

My husband and I really enjoyed this place the first year it opened. They had great food and drinks and excellent service. Unfortunately, we won't be going back. I don't know if the management has changed in the last year but the last few times we had dinner at the Murray, UT location the service including management was horrible. We made a reservation on a Monday night to have dinner with our friends. They had never been there so we thought it would be nice to treat them to a good night out. We arrived 5 minutes early and noticed that the restaurant was hardly full. It seemed as though there were more workers than customers. We were asked to wait a minute which was totally fine. We took a seat to wait in the completely empty lobby and during our 30 minute wait, the manager stood at the front desk flirting with the hostess. She asked him a few times if she could seat us and he glanced at us and said, not yet. We decided to step outside the doors a moment where we could still be seen since we were becoming quite uncomfortable. After a couple minutes we stepped back inside. The hostess said we thought you left. We can seat you now. Our young waiter arrived shortly after to take our drink orders. We ordered a bottle of wine that we happen to like a lot. He immediately cut me off stating to me that the particular wine I had chosen was really bad and he immediately without us asking for advice started to tell us we should order a bottle that was $50 more than our choice. We kindly declined his offer and he continued to state how bad our original wine choice was. When we insisted on ordering the bottle we wanted, he said, oh, we are out of that one. We picked a different wine and he came back stating they were also out of our second choice. At that point we were a bit offended by his snarky attitude and we didn't feel like being up sold so we passed on the wine. After that he continued to have an attitude. It took him awhile to come back to take our order. When our food arrived after 35 to 40 minutes later it was cold. Sad, since we happen to enjoy their food. At this point, we were tired and we wanted to hurry and get out of there so we asked for our check. We ended out asking for it 3 different times before he finally brought it to us. I had a free birthday dinner on my rewards card that we wanted to use so I gave him my rewards card and asked him to please make sure to deduct it. Of course, it wasn't deducted. I was really frustrated at this point so we ended out just paying the bill and leaving. After the cold shoulder we got from the manager at the beginning of this experience I knew we needed to cut our losses and get out of there. This place has really gone down hill. I cut up our rewards card and we won't be back.

This new Italian place opened up Fashion Place Mall just not too long ago. They open 7 days a week. They have a decent size patio for those that enjoy outdoor seating, and they have a classy interior dining space with an open kitchen. We started with a few appetizers, one of them is Calamari Fritto Misto ($10.95), and it tasted absolutely awful. The breading was very sad, almost every piece of calamari you pick up the breading just falls off, and the sauce had strange flavors to them. We also got the Garlic Spinach Artichoke ($10.95), which tasted decent, and provided a small recovery from the calamari. For main course, there were Shrimp Risotto ($19.95), Veal Milanese ($23.95), Pasta Brio ($16.35), and Grilled Salmon Salad ($21.95). The risotto looked nice on the plate, but some of the rice was a bit crunchy, which means the dish was a bit undercook. The Veal Milanese also had some breading problem, as it was quite soggy, and the meat tasted like meshed up ground beef rather than veal. Pasta Brio was on par with ones you get from Noodles & Co, except it costs twice as much. The Salmon Salad was actually the tastiest of all with the fish grilled and seasoned perfectly. For desserts, we had their Tiramisu and Crème Brûlée. The tiramisu tasted decent with a nice touch of coffee flavor in the bottom. The "burnt cream" had a nice thin layer of caramel that was easily cracked and the custard tasted great underneath. Brio Tuscan Grille is definitely an interesting Italian restaurant, and if I have to compare with nearby places, I would always choose them over Olive Garden. There were definitely vicissitudes among their dishes, and service was a bit confusing, but it is common for new places. For those of you that work at Fashion Place, they are currently offering discounts to all mall employees. They definitely have a lot of room for improvement, and I have a feeling I would be back very soon.

This is a tough restaurant to review. Some of the food was pretty good, some of the food was not good at all. The wait was only a few minutes for a busy night. The decor is nice and the atmosphere is ok, but it was a mixed crowd of loud high school kids (school dance I assume) mixed with casual dress and more formal dress. Our waitress was helpful and friendly so at least the service gets a favorable review. The food is most important so let me review our dishes. We started with the Roasted Garlic, Spinach & Artichoke Dip which was pretty good but we would have preferred chips or soft bread instead of the crunchy flatbread. Then we had the chef's special for the night which was almond-crusted swordfish with a side of asparagus. The fish was very tasty but I picked off most of the dried almonds on top because they didn't enhance the flavor. The asparagus looked ok until I removed the decorative stack of crunchy fries (or onions... I don't remember what they were). The asparagus was charred to the point of black/brown and inedible. It literally tasted like charcoal. I asked our waitress to bring me some new asparagus which came out when I was nearly done with my meal. The new asparagus was less charred but half of them were still burnt to the point of flaking on my plate. We also had the grilled salmon which I would rate as an average salmon plate. It wasn't dry like some places but it wasn't all that flavorful either. The bottom was charred and the asparagus came from the same burned batch as the other plate. It seems the chef thinks that a BBQ-style, charred taste is a flavor people want at a semi-fancy restaurant. I can do that on my home grill so I think I'll pass on this restaurant next time.

Went on a hot late august day. Parking out front was occupied by a new Porsche next to a new Rover. Walking towards the entrance, I quickly noticed the demographic that occupied the restaurant made up of most the older crowd, as well as out of town business associates. Inside we were greeted by a friendly hostess who brought us to our table. The menu is fairly large. We were quickly attended by our waitress who had everything on the menu down to a science. She took her job seriously and described almost every entree from personal experience whether a newcomer, or a regular. We were given a bread basket and come waters. And some time to overlook the menu. Right off the bat we noticed the items on the menu were about 20% more in cost compared to other commercial Italian joints. So, the waitress gave us a considerable amount of time to try to choose something price wise, that was in the middle. I chose one of their more popular choices. We were probably more impressed with the attentiveness of our waitress. She made sure we had our drink filled, and our breadbaskets filled. She worked hard, and wanted to make sure we had a good experience. Overall to be honest. I wasn't impressed with the food especially for the price. However to be fair, I am not the biggest italian food fan. With that said, being a non-foodie, I couldn't find much of a difference between the said commercial italian restaurants as far as taste and food quality. But the service deserves five stars for sure. I could only find myself coming back to impress a date to the restaurant. Again I am not the biggest italian food fan and I was hoping Brio would change that. But again I was impressed by the service. Probably the best I've had thus far.

For a national chain, Brio gets a lot of things right. Yes, the decor is a bit overdone but the wine list is decent. There are some outstanding dishes including the shrimp and fried eggplant appetizer and the steak salad. Not a lot to choose from if you're a vegetarian and don't want to eat pasta, though. We enjoyed our server and will go back.

The first time I was here it was on a weekend. Valet parking was great, the waitstaff was fun and helpful and really made the experience, the food and wine was great too. But the next time I was there with guests on a Tuesday night, the reverse happened. The server was rude, slow and arrogant. The food seemed over priced and so-so. The wine a bit tanic at the price. It didn't at all merit a return visit. But the weekend experience will have me going back for a tiebreaker.

My wife and I went to Brio for Brunch a few Saturdays back and had a mixed meal. Our waiter was fantastic, the appetizer was amazing (Carpaccio) but I was not impressed with my entree. My chorizo & grilled chicken eggs Benedict came across dry. The food wasn't bad I was just underwhelmed after the great appetizer.

Alright, I've been to Brios around the country, and knew what I was getting myself into before coming here. This location is as good as all the others, and the food is always super good. Granted my whole roast chicken was a little dry ONCE, but still a great place to eat when looking for a comfortable environment with good food.

The food here is pretty darn good and the atmosphere is a welcome change to what is readily available and common in Utah. Service was okay, had to wait a little longer than what I think is acceptable for the initial greet. But once our server was present, service was great. I had the artichoke dip for an app, very good, and the mushroom ravioli for dinner. Both were very filling and rich. My only gripes were the lights that were turned up way too high to feel comfortable, lack of music, and overall quiet, awkward ambience in a large, open room. I imagine this place would be much better for a lunch spot. I recommend giving it a try if you're in the Fashion Place area.

Appetizers were delicious. The shrimp and eggplant one is good. Decor is very " cheesecake factory" and not original. My dates entree the lasagna was huge, probably 5,000 calories and not tasty and swimming in a thin tomato sauce....I've had premade lasagna that is way better. We don't like chains, went there with friends....probably won't be back.

Went here Saturday. Way way way too expensive. server was not really into serving or had something else on the mind. Like forgetting my app. hmmm Food was not bad but just way too much money and the portions were reasonable.

Love this place and it's a welcome breath of fresh air to the Salt Lake area. Expecially the happy hour from 3:30 - 6:00 for the $2.95 appetizers and drink specials. Their servers go out of their way to make you happy. Beautiful surroundings and the food is yummy.

First time at Brio Tuscan Grille, my wife and I LOVED the food and service. We were given the choice of sitting in the dining room with the wait time about 45 to 55 minutes, or we could sit at the bar type seating facing the kitchen. We sat at the kitchen, and it was so much fun since it was our first time we were able to see some different plates before ordering. Surprisingly the noise level of the kitchen was no louder than the noise of the dining room; I would sit there again and would suggest it to all couples it would not be good for communication for more than two people. Also In regards to seating at the kitchen I would like to thank and hold high regards to the manager in when a party of three people came in and the hostess was going to allow them to sit at the kitchen even though there were only two available seats, so they would have to squeeze in an extra chair. The manager came and said it was not possible to place another chair there, I was so very; happy, glad, and impressed that the manager could see there was not enough room. (The party of three could have fit but it would have been crowed and uncomfortable.) We also got to talk with some of the chefs, it was nice to see that the chefs where personable and willing to go above and beyond. A suggestion I have is allow the chefs pass the food over directly to those sitting at the kitchen, because with our appetizers they were prepared right in front of us. Then our appetizers went down to the other side of the kitchen and sat under warmers for several minutes to be brought around. Also if the food was passed through from the cooking side it would not be so awkward for waiter/waitress to place the plate in front of you. I would like to mention that never have I seen or heard a kitchen run so well, the great communication and team work is reflected in the taste, appearance, and speed of receiving food. The seating at the kitchen and never felt crowed or uncomfortable even with all six seats filled. The manager attentive and came to say "Hello" and check on us, he also provide certificates for free appetizers, for the next time we came in and we did not have any problems or have anything that upset us, in fact it was great. The only thing I wish is that the price is a little less because then I could afford to go more than once every six to twelve months. But I understand making great food is not cheap, if the price going down at all affected the end results or attitudes of employees I would rather just pay the extra money, because it is so worth paying a bit more for somewhere that great. Sorry the review is jumbled but overall best Italian food I have ever had in my Life. The best restaurant I have ever been to. We ordered: Appetizer - Bruschetta Quattro Wife's Entre - Pasta Alla Vodka with Grilled Chicken My Entry - Roasted Lamb Chops with Caesar Salad Wife's Dessert - Chocolate Mascarpone Cheesecake My Dessert - Torta Di Cioccolata

This is my second visit to this place and the food has not disappointed yet. The first time I went there it was me and my husband, we sat in the patio and both the food and the service were great! This was a year or so ago. Yesterday we decided to go back to Brio since I personally don't like Olive Garden and price wise Brio rates the same. So my husband and I took my dad and sister (who were visiting out of town) there for lunch. I could tell the server didn't want to be there (maybe because it was the day before July 4?) but I didn't let that ruin my lunch experience. The server took forever to get my glass of water refilled and to bring us a second basket of bread so I ended up drinking my husband's water since he was drinking something else. But oh well, hopefully Brio will improve service a tid bit. If service was great yesterday, this rate would have been a 5 star! I ordered the Raviolli di Bello, and let me tell you, it was the BEST italian dish I've ever eaten. And I don't even like mushrooms that much! But the sauce and the way the mushrooms were cooked made this dish an "OMG I wanna have seconds". I also heard many compliments from others in our party about the food they ordered. I usually don't get desserts at restaurants because I'm too full for them anyways, so I can't rate their desserts. But if you're looking for good italian food, I highly recommend this place. It's much better than the other italian places I've tried in the valley. The decor and ambiance of Brio Tuscan Grille is much nicer too, and it makes you feel like you're eating in an upscale restaurant while on vacation without breaking the bank.

Even though this is a chain I love their food Had the artichoke dip with flatbread. Very good but big so share! Loved the lobster bisque and steak salad. My husband really enjoyed the petite steak. It's big and sometimes a bit loud but even on New Years Eve the service was great.

The food was better than average but the service was horrible. Our server only came over to take our order and refill our drinks. I took my mother on a Monday after work. The restaurant had only a handful of patrons. There were servers standing all throughout the restaurant while the manager slouched over the hostess' table and flirted openly instead of managing his staff. We never got our bread, salads or soup. The server never apologized and instead had some other server bring our entrees. This are just a few of the many things that was upsetting about the service. Will never go back ! I will not miss the chance to discourage friends and family from avoiding this place !!!

Great service, excellent food and comfortable ambiance. Brio was our daughters choice for her birthday celebration - she loves the steak salad. Our server was engaging & informative; everyone enjoyed their meals and we were not rushed. It was an enjoyable evening and we will be back!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
