While making a trek from Phoenix to Denver I had the good fortune (courtesy of Yelp) to find this great restaurant. The servers were very nice, the food was delicious, the one glass of wine from a local winery was great as well. I opted for the Chorizo & Shrimp meatballs. What an odd pairing, I thought, so I had to try it! The only problem was that it is an appetizer and I could have eaten 2 or 3 plates of these!!! I also had the house salad and it was delicious as well. Go! You will not be disappointed.

After a long day of hiking in Moab, we were pretty hungry. I narrowed it down between two restaurants and we decided to give the Twisted Sistas' Cafe a go. Located right on the main road with a very colorful sign, it was easy to find. Inside, the bar was bustling with lots of people enjoying happy hour. The wood rafters and balcony gave this place the feel of a country ranch while the colorful chairs and Christmas lights gave it a hippy spin. We sat at a table for two. While there was only one vegan item on the menu, I was hoping we could find an appetizer as well. We inquired about the garlic herb flatbread with olive tapenade and the server assured us it was vegan. After ordering, she came back and said the flatbread was not vegan because there was dairy in it, but she could serve me some rice crackers with the tapenade instead. Okay, fine. It was actually pretty good! It went well with the wine as well. For my entree, I ordered the vegan item on the menu -- Vegan Thai Vegetables. This coconut-based lime curry was loaded with squash, carrots, broccoli, red peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes. It looked really good and definitely hit the spot, but the sauce needed more flavor. We spent about an hour there eating dinner. The service was okay, the atmosphere was a bit dry, and the food left something to be desired. Also, for this small town, I'd say the food was definitely overpriced as the entree alone was like $16! Next time, I think I'd choose another place instead of this one, but the truth be told, it's a small town without a lot of options so there's only so many places to go! Perhaps grabbing dinner from the local co-op and enjoying it picnic style on the rocks is another option.

Great place to unwind after a day of outdoors activities. The service was excellent and so was the food. Between the four of us we ordered the French onion soup, the coconut shrimp soup, the chicken lollies, and an assortment of flatbread. We wanted a lighter meal and this place delivered. Nothing overly drenched in oil and we didn't walk away feeling bloated. It's a bit pricey for the entrees but the quality is worth it.

Solid three and a half stars! Came here for lunch with two others after a morning of hiking at Arches. [Service]: very friendly waitress! She was happy to answer questions about the menu and checked up on us often. Granted, we were the only table at the time, so not sure what a busier time would be like. [Food]: everything came out very quickly, and was mostly great. My soup and flatbread portions were smaller than I expected, but both were tasty. The grilled teriyaki chicken breast burger had a delicious sauce, but was dry in parts. We also got two wraps, which were pretty tasty, although the beef tenderloin was a bit salty. Overall, the sandwiches and wraps are a good value, and they'll definitely fill you up for lunch!

Popped in for lunch, very friendly service. Prices are very reasonable. I had a house salad and added turkey to it, it was enough for me. The deco is warm and there are plenty of choices on the menu, like tapas, lunch plate...etc. If I am in Moab again, I will definitely go back.

Really tasty food! Great Service! Atmosphere is a bit odd, but not distateful

4 stars after an experience that was just what I needed!! After a long day of hiking at Arches, I came here for some dinner. I opted for soup and salad: the spicy coconut shrimp bisque and the spinach salad. It was all simple, fresh, and so tasty! The shrimp bisque was my favorite part...savory and coconut-y and neither too sweet nor too salty as these types of soups can tend to be! And the salad was the perfect complement to the soup. Quick, inexpensive, and great service! I would love to try some of the tapas so I'm hoping to be back in the area at some point. Definitely a great find!

After a long day of driving and viewing lookouts and arches, luckily this place was still open as it seems like everywhere closes early and opens not as early. I really wanted to come here to try their tapas. Sat next to the window. Ate the French Onion Soup, Chicken Lollies, today's special, Buttered fish with coleslaw and purple rice. French Onion soup: baked mozzarella cheese covered the with the beef bouillon broth, sliced onions and bread inside. Topped with chopped green scallions. The only downfall to this was the hard-as-a-rock pebble like something. The waiter or owner said it was most likely the bouillon cube piece. $6. A good go-to warm-up soup. Chicken Lollies: 4 crispy chicken lollipops with a sweet chili sauce and a mound of cabbage salad with cranberries, julienned carrots, peanuts, sunflower seeds, purple cabbage. This is perfect to share with a table of four or just for yourself for a light meal. $10. Absolutely a to-get dish! Tonight's Special- Spicy Buttered Fish: Spicy dry rub on the baked buttered fish was cooked to perfection! A couple avocado wedges sat atop the fish. Side couplings of purple rice and coleslaw. The coleslaw was made of cabbage and purple cabbage, raisins, sunflower seeds in a mayo based dressing. $23. The dry rub buttered fish with the avocado was a flavorful part of the dish. Server was attentive to water refill and came back at the right times for taking order, answering the "hard-like-a-rock" question, conversing and bringing the check. Definitely try this place out for tapas!

I love this place. It is so cute and fun on the inside and it has awesome food! The menu is a little weird and none of it makes much sense. It doesn't really fall into any type of food category as it has some Thai inspired dishes, Italian inspired dished, American dishes, salads, etc. We tried the shrimp pasta special, spinach salad and dip appetizer. It was all spectacular. They also have a great beer menu!

So I was in town for a weekend for the first time and was looking for a local place that had the the flare, spirit and beauty of Moab, and this place was it. The dining areas were full, so I sat up at the bar and was quickly greeted by a fantastic bartender which turned out to be part owner. She explained the idea behind Twisted Sistas and quickly pointed out a few favorites on the menu. She recommended the Coconut Shrimp bisque and the grilled eggplant, so naturally I went with it, and boy am I glad I did! Both dishes were fresh, expertly prepared, delicately presented and full of flavor. Overall, I fell in love with Moab and this place. From the moment I walked in the unassuming entrance off the main thoroughfare in Moab, I could tell this place was not going to disappoint. The staff, atmosphere, decor and most importantly the food spoke wonders of this place and I will most certainly be back on my next trip to Moab!

We had lunch here on a Sunday after hiking the Fiery Furnace with Molly. Devyn, our waiter, seemed new but was quick to find the answers to our questions. I checked Yelp before our Sunday lunch here. Many of the other eateries close Sunday or 1pm- Eclekticafe & Love Muffin. Side note- we got an education on the 'alcohol system' developed by Utah. Eric, one of the owner's boyfriends, let us know that Utah has multiple types of liquor licenses and it varies on alcohol... Some places have to serve food to sell you drinks. And that 3...% label can be deceiving. Apparently Utah has their own system & that lower % actually adds up to about 4% alc. by volume. Our MEAL: The brie dish- simple & delish. It wasn't on the original menu we were given. It's on the drink menu under Bar Menu. We split the fish wrap & the coconut soup as our lunch. The soup was VERY good and not sweet like most coconut shrimp soups I have had. Everything was very well spiced & season. The cod wrap- was full of big fleshy cod perfectly seared with purple cabbage, black beans, cheese & a wonderful southwest flavor (cilantro, chili, lime). The coconut shrimp soup- I've had thai coconut shrimp soup & This was nothing like that fortunately. The shrimp were wild caught in the USA. Major plus!!! It had celery, 3 shrimp, & basil. It was perfectly spiced and delicious. Excellent restaurant: food & service. Love their hours, location, & eagerness to please!

Most places in Moab tend towards giant servings of comfort food, either "Mexican" or "BBQ". If you want something with flavour, Twisted Sistas is a very good choice. It's right in the middle of the tourist-trap shopping area, perfect for when you get tired of looking at mugs, shot glasses, and mass-produced native-esque art. I can vouch for the pear martinis, shrimp bisque, and beet salad. But I'd bet the rest of the menu is also tasty.

Came in for a late lunch on a Sunday. We both ordered salads and they were fabulous! I had the steak salad and DH had the Jamon Shrimp salad. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, fast service.

  • Brian K.

We had Tapas and everything was delicious. Maybe we were really hungry from hiking, but we easily could have eaten two each.

  • Bridget S.

The food was pretty good, better than most of the restaurants in Moab. Ambience is a bit mixed, it's bigger than it looks from the outside, but the decor is nothing special. Prices were reasonable and food was tasty. My mom ordered a glass of pinot grigio and it was really terrible, undrinkable. Other than that, it was a positive experience.

  • Julie M.

Great service. Fun atmosphere. Food delicious! I had seafood Thai dish which was perfectly spicy and my husband had the tuna salad which was delicious. Moab margaritas were tastey!

  • Kim G.

Great service, light food (not greasy), gluten free options, comfortable surroundings. We were really happy with the type of food that was offered and everyone was really nice. We had a few tapas plates: baked Brie and baked shrimp. We also ordered the spinach salad, French onion soup, curried soup, and Thai vegetables. I would come here again!

While enjoying a few cold cocktails and chatting with some locals the night before they recommended a few of their local favorite restaurants. This was one of them. When I entered it was not busy and I chose a seat at their bar. They have a small but quality selection of beers and wine as well as a full bar. The menu was unique and listed several fresh options, small plates/tapas and entrees. The prices are consistent with many of the local restaurants of this caliber. They strive for a casual yet upscale ambiance and menu. However, my opinion the sign and name make me think it is a new age hippie vegan cafe. It may be affecting the perception of the restaurant and in turn how busy they are, considering they have a great location and the menu looks quality. That evening I stopped in and tried their salad special, grilled peaches, sliced fresh mozzarella (arranged caprese style) over greens drizzled with a vinaigrette that had just a hint of citrus zest and mild curry-like flavor, which in my personal opinion complemented the dish well, which I chose to accompany with a chilled glass of chardonnay. It was the perfect light dinner.

This place was a huge disappointment. We ordered calamari and the fish special. The calamari was about the size of a cup... a small cup, and though it was supposed to come with a pesto sauce, it was more like a broth with a slight pesto flavor that wasn't very tasty. The fish special was a bit more flavorful than the calamari but the portions were yet again miniscule, a tiny piece of fish on a small side and a huge empty plate. The service and cleanliness were pretty much the only positives.

We stopped for a light dinner and a beer the soups and salads were nice on a cold evening.

  • R L.

Friendly staff, delicious food. This is a nice little gem in the middle of Moab. Baked Brie is great, finally a baked brie that doesn't have a ton honey on it! Chicken tenders are actual chicken tenders and they seem fresh (not frozen). Also, baked shrimp wrapped in jamon are delicious.

  • Carlos M.

Had lunch, the menu was great lots of choice. Avoid the stuffed peppers, cold peppers with a cheese stick inside. Could be so much better. The soups and salads were great. Really enjoyed the jumbo coconut shrimp although didn't notice much curry flavor. Great desserts. Not sure that I'd come back for dinner but a good spot for lunch. Little pricey for what's on offer.

  • Nika N.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. The hostess was extremely rude to everyone who came in, didn't let people wait at the bar, asked for preference of seating and then after making you wait for the desired seat for 20 minutes said that she couldn't seat you there after the table became available...and didn't apologize either. Probably good food but we didn't get to try it thanks to her lack of respect.

Delicious fries, cold beer, and excellent service. Melissa gave us excellent local's advice on things to do after a few days of playing in the National Parks and getting tired of the tourism.

  • Rafael G.

Unfortunately (I guess), we visited for lunch time, so the menu was quite limited and of the garden variety. Nothing exciting. We ordered the burger with mushrooms and, I think, goat cheese. Nothing to write home about. The bun was on the stale side; cold and dry. A little steaming or toasting on the grill would have gone a long way to help the dish. The beef was properly cooked, fresh and moist, but severely underseasoned. Salt and pepper, sistas! You should try them! The fries of the frozen variety. Overall, a very uninspiring and expensive lunch. For a burger, I'd better gone to Burget King.

Good stuff! Relatively diverse menu prepared with quality ingredients by people who genuinely seem to care. I'll be back next time I'm in Moab.

We were hungry as we pulled into town. After looking through Yelp reviews we decided on Twisted Sistas Cafe for dinner. We shared a vegetarian flatbread and daily special of halibut. Flatbread was very good, halibut was fantastic. Our server was very nice and pleasant. Overall a great experience and recommended for others to enjoy.

This place had amazing food! My mom and I shared the beet and pomegranate salad and the veggie wrap. OH. MY. GOD. We barely spoke while sitting there we were so busy eating our food. This is exactly what we needed after our long hike in Arches. Refreshing, flavorful, organic, healthy and revitalizing. Awesome lil' place.

This is a review after their 4th week in business. Waitstaff= inexperienced and inattentive but nice. Food= average. Lacking in flavor and creativity and overpriced as is most of Moab if you are not already aware. Tried the Calamari appetizer. Nothing special and very expensive for the quantity of food. Spinach Salad. Exactly as described. Nothing special there other than $1.50 upcharge for a tablespoon of Serrano Jamon added. Almond Salmon. Small, dry and uninspired. The rice was the highlight of the dish and six pencil thin pieces of asparagus didn't add much to the dish. Eggplant. Again, nothing to see here. Best of luck to the new owners but hard to offer more than two stars at this point.

We loved twisted sistas so much, that we went twice and ordered the same thing. The coconut-crusted shrimp and the French onion soup were delicious! I ordered a big house Salad and my husband ordered the steak salad which had fresh strawberries. Definitely would recommend. One of the sisters is the chef, while the other one runs the front of the house. Great service. We love supporting local family ventures.

  • A M.

It was definitely ok. Not great but not terrible. A little overpriced but no worse than every place else in Moab. Had coconut curry prawns, Brie, and soy ginger black cod. Tasted ok, portions were on the small side, but overall it was ok. Definitely one of the better Moab offerings.

  • Annie T.

My friend and I came here for lunch. We ordered sandwiches and I also got the coconut soup. We came here based on the Yelp reviews and honestly, we were disappointed. This restaurant was mediocre in everything - food, service, decor, etc. I could've made sandwiches that were just as good or better at home. It's an okay place for a quick but to eat, but nothing spectacular.

Excellent fresh food oasis in the middle of Moab. We had the seared tuna salad and Serrano ham flat bread. All delish! And friendly service at 4pm on a Monday! :) would definitely come back!

  • Hillary S.

Food was good, staff was friendly, highly recommend the French onion soup and the my husband thought the tenderloin was cooked perfect, my boys enjoyed the burger. Drinks are a bit pricey. My only real complaint was they need a high chair for the little ones!

Cool funky place with a great vibe. Diverse menu of local and organic food. Had the chicken confit salad which was excellent. Great place to grab a quick bite after a long hike.

We had a late lunch and the lunch menu is more mainstream than dinner. Good food but nowhere near five stars. They were very slow to greet us and seat us but service was good after that. I would not go back as there other spots we liked better in Moab but it is fine. No reason not to try it.

Quite good food, a little too expensive. Ate here twice, very good each time, although I think we got overcharged somewhere. Well worth trying.

  • Patricis P.

While the setting was very cute, the waitress excellent and the food delicious the experience was marred by a large piece of glass and smaller shards which had been baked into a Parmesan disc which topped the eggplant entre. My friend actually had the larger piece in her mouth. Things happen in kitchens and we understood. We were, however, quite taken aback by the cavalier attitude of management. At the least we thought she would not be given a bill but they charged her for her salad and one glass of wine!!! After we complained they took off the salad but not the wine. DISAPPOINTING!!!

  • Jimmy C.

It wasn't for us, really wished some of the items from the lunch menu would've been available at dinner. The flat bread with tapenade was very good, and maybe the highlight of dinner. My friends both ended up getting salads because the entrees weren't very appealing (one had the ahi salad, the other the beet salad), and said they were decent. I had the seafood Tom Yum, that was also just OK (nice scallop in it, while the calamari tasted off, and it was a little too watery with bolder flavor needed). It seems like it might be a better lunch option.

    (2)
  • Philip S.

Interesting menu and very friendly staff. a bit disorganized and untidy but good food. An exception was the beet salad. The beets were nearly raw.

    (3)
  • Chrome Grille E.

We had the Thai vegetables with noddles in a curry coconut milk sauce. One of the best dishes I have had in a while. Just a hint of heat (spice) adds to the experience. I would recommend this dish for sure! Also had the in-house made chocolate-peanut butter pie. (We split a slice). Plenty of food for the price after a day of hiking at Arches.

    (5)
  • Dawn Z.

Eh, all I can say. Greeter kicked sent us away because they close between lunch and dinner. We came back at 5 and the same guy gave the same spiel until I showed him my phone that showed it was 5:02. Then he spent the rest of the night on his phone. Good food, although a bit pricey.

    (3)
  • JD M.

Stopped in for an early dinner after a day at Arches. Started with the flatbread with toppings. Flatbread was tasty and cooked perfectly. The olive tapenade was particularly flavorful. For dinner had the French onion soup and the Seafood Tom Yum dinner entree. Everything was fresh and delicious. The French onion soup was served piping hot in a small crock. The Thai spices in the Tom Yum was excellent with the perfect balance between sweet, spicy and sour. The seafood was very fresh and made for great somewhat light dinner.

Nice spot but more of a lunch place than $15-20 an entrée dinner type place. Shrimp appetizer came out on a plastic plate for example. Nice and friendly wait staff but we couldant get past the odd music and pleaded for them to change the station- lol. Wifes scallops were super tasty but way too spicy, the menu said nothing about it being spicy which is a odd. My steak was cooked perfectly but it and the side items were ultra bland. All and all I would go back for lunch but probably elsewhere for dinner ambiance. Cheers -

Good fun place. Enjoyed my lunch. Friendly service food was good. Not awesome. Waitress was nice. Price ok but for the quality maybe a little high

I had the Chicken Salad Wrap with Coleslaw and the Wrap was Good but the Coleslaw was Great!! It was very fresh and not over powered with sauce. The kids loved their meals as well.

I ordered my dinner to go as I was so tired from a full day at Moab, so Im sure it would have been twice as amazing if I dined in. I ordered the seafood tom yum and the shrimp bisque. I enjoyed both very much... the only downsize is that I wish I had bigger portion! Enjoyed every bite!

Given the excellent reviews, I expected this place to be at the very least fun and at best fun with excellent food to boot. My boyfriend and I came here on a Monday night, ready to eat some healthier food than the burgers, wings, and fries we'd consumed at the Bryce Canyon brewery. When we walked in, we were told it'd be a 15 minute wait despite a number of available tables. We decided to be patient but I noticed as we watched the patrons, that there was a depressing hush over the restaurant - it wasn't empty, just sad. People ate their food with almost no enthusiasm and no one seemed to be smiling. I chalked this up to it being Monday and hey, maybe people in Moab are just quieter. I soon realized the food was the cause of the sadness. I ordered the vegan thai noodle curry which was downright watery. My boyfriend had the pork which was just...sad. Everything was served on plastic plates and felt like the chef was concerned with cooking things "healthy" v. bringing out the natural flavors of the fresh food. The food was also overpriced for the quality. $16 for vegetables and noodles is just not OK, especially when it resembles lunch fare. One good thing was the hummus & tapenade plate with pita. Delicious but not enough to bump this place into the realm of recommendable or not-depressing. Sorry.

Went to the Twisted Sista's Cafe during our trip to Moab. The trip had some hiccups (watch your speed through town) but this little gem was one of the highlights of our trip. The coconut shrimp were fresh and amazing and my girlfriend got the buffalo chicken wrap which was top notch. So many places in Moab are overpriced and boring, this place is the exception to that rule. We talked to one of the owners for a while and she was more than friendly and offered great service. We will be back to visit this gem next time we slowly make our way through town. :)

Not impressed. I asked the waitress to sample the house dressing and she said that no, they couldn't do that because the chef was too busy. They also print directly on their menu that they will not alter or change recipes. We left and didn't waste our time there.

Coconut shrimp, peppered baked brie, beet salad. All to die for. Great find in Moab. Our party of four was well cared for on a Sunday evening when two different parties were absorbing all the second floor tables. Our server was friendly, efficient , accurate. Just an all around nice guy. The menu was varied enough for all our tastes and the execution was pretty near excellent across all dishes. There Is a full bar, some fun mixed drinks, a decent beer selection. Tiramisu for dessert was sweet and laced with bitter chocolate which gave it real depth. Minor misses: dark green leaf lettuce in the Caesar salad, a bit too much dressing on the spinach salad, French toast points a bit soft. Minor stuff that didn't take away from the overall sense of a great meal. Overall, really excellent food and a great value for the price.

The service is excellent and the food was great. Coconut shrimp and Reynolds wrap were fantastic. The owners made sure we were taken care of and made it very welcoming! Will be back on my next visit to Moab.

Not hungry enough, so we thought, for a full meal, we tried a few tapas. The coconut shrimp tapas were perfection, the beet and pomegranate salad wonderful, etc... we ended up nibbling our way through 6 or 7 all together. And the gin-gingertini was an awesome way to finish another Moab vacation.

Just had a really great meal with friends here after a great day of adventuring. The tom yum, cocoanut shrimp, caramelized scallops were nothing short of amazing. Plus they had a great kids menu, so everyone was happy. Fantastic service and bar menu also. If you want to treat yourself at the end of a big day, this is the place.

Delicious chicken salad wrap--on no ordinary tortilla. It's a garlic tortilla that's kind of crisped up. Very reasonable rices. Clean & colorful decor.

Went here during a recent vacation to arches. The decor is very cute with hand .painted chairs. The food and drinks were great. Their bloody and tequila sunrise with fresh squeezed oj were awesome. My only compliant was that I wish the burger was larger. The size was fine for the price but I would have been happy to pay a few extra dollars for a bigger burger.

What a GREAT find in Moab on my drive through. Fresh food for a change with an interesting menu. My only reservation for a 5 star review was the spotty service. I'm guessing most staff is seasonal, so I expect that. We were in no rush, so no big deal. Just wish I had gotten my cocktail before my appetizer that's all. It was a long day on the road! Enjoyed what they called "bruschetta" (which was really toast with tomato slice, basil leaf and fresh mozz slice - a caprese salad on toast), the scallops and grapefruit salad. My partner had grilled ahi on their Caesar salad. Very nice. Several menu items looked really great and from what I say passing by me, I wish I'd had time for lunch the next day. Portions were great, too. Could try a couple of things without feeling stuffed when you leave. Really...if you don't want pizza or Mexican when traveling in these tourist towns, you rarely find such a gem. You will not be disappointed. I do respectfully and gently suggest that the owners get a new sign that is more clear to read. You basically can't read the restaurant name at all. Even up close. Funky as the sign is (guessing an artist friend made it?)...it is not serving your restaurant well as far as exposure goes. Get your name out there! People need to see you and know about you. Keep up the great food!!

    (4)
  • Susan B.

We ate dinner here after several of our friends raved about it. Don't let the name or the funky decor put you off. The food is excellent, freshly prepared when you order it, and served attractively. Portion sizes are appropriate for tapas, salads, soups, and small plates. We had the flatbread, calamari, and pecan-crusted chicken tapas, and the spinach salad. Calamari was really tender and the sauce was quite flavorful. The chicken was tender and moist and (unlike the comment from an earlier reviewer) came with a marmalade-based dipping sauce. The spinach salad was outstanding. The service was excellent - much better than in most Moab restaurants in which we've eaten.

I do not have enough good things to say about this place! Drinks were strong and delicious! Tapas were perfect portions. Entrees were cooked seasoned and presented well. Excellent cafe with beyond excellent service! I am telling all my friends they have to visit Moab just to visit twisted sistas.

The coconut shrimp was the start of our meal and the only thing we both enjoyed. I had the roasted beat and pomegranate salad and the something crusted salmon. The beats were not very tender and the flavors didn't quite work. The citrus was a bit too intense. My wife had the pecan crusted chicken skewers and a Cesar salad with chicken. The pecan crusted chicken was dry and not very warm. The chicken on the Cesar was much warmer but also dry and warm chicken on lettuce leads to limp lettuce. The staff was very friendly and attentive so it pains me to give a poor review, but the food was disappointing.

I could not decide between 2 or 3 stars. Benefit of the doubt to them. First off would have given 5 stars if everything was as perfect as the coconut shrimp. Excellent, really perfectly done. Also loved the Ginger-tini drink. We also ate the calamari appetizer, flat bread, Seafood Tom yum, Beet Salad, Spinach Salad and pecan crusted chicken. The pecan chicken was boring and poorly made. The dipping sauce was one dimensional -that of pure mustard. The beet salad would have been way better if the greens were dressed or left off the plate. They were served dry and it was as if you were eating a mouth full of grass with the beets. Seafood dishes were okay, which for this part of the US is pretty good. So that's the 3 star part. The waiters (? Why more than one covering one table???) misunderstood me. I revived my beet sale with cooked chicken on top and no pecan encrusted chicken skewers. When we straighten out the misunderstanding one waiter offered the chicken to my husband 's spinach salad. He declined and I then told the waitress that I was going to order a Caesar salad to go when we were done and that the chicken could go on it. Alana few minutes later I was served a Caesar salad with chicken. I re-iterated it was to go when we were done. It was brought right back in a to go container and the salad sat dressed and waiting the next hour while we ate. And I brought home a soggy salad with cold grilled dry chicken on it. And yes, I was charged for the mistake chicken. It was only $3 or $4 extra but it's the principal . Should have let them throw it out. And so 2 stars but I am feeling generous. It must have been the cute type dye chairs.

i had the smoked salmon tapas and it was enough for a main course. It came with a side of something like potato salad without potatoes. They were delicious together. My wife had the eggplant and loved it too. We both had the spinach salad and it was excellent as well. The decorations and colors are fun and simple. The atmosphere is casual. Great place I would go again.

Veggie wrap is delicious! Reasonably priced for a resort type town. Highly recommend it. Great friendly service. Not overpriced like many tourist stops here

We were in for lunch, food didn't taste bad ordered Tapas Shrimp and the special Shrimp Caesar Salad as well as a couple drinks. When it was time for the bill we let our waiter know that we were local. No local discount, how can you expect to stay in business through the winter without your locals?! We also let our waiter know we had been over charged for the margarita from what the menu had said. He politely said he would take a look at it and get it fixed. When he came back to our table he told us it couldn't be changed but he would pay the difference. We then felt guilty and paid extra after all for the drink. By the time all said and done I was in the bathroom sick and later at home was still sick. Not to mention the prices were high. Virtually two drinks and two apps for lunch $60. One star!!

First, they need a new sign. You can't even read it, and it really doesn't say much for the cafe. Second, the chairs are cute but very uncomfortable and kind of tippy. Made my butt hurt after awhile. OK, the food was fine, but not really great. The spinach salad was boring - all they need to do is add some feta cheese and cranberries or something and it would be good. I was disappointed. I had a grilled tuna sandwich which was dripping grease - too much for me. I also didn't care for the loud music. The waier was very nice and did a fine job. Can't say I cared much for the ambiance or the food, and I wonder how long they'll be in business. Moab's a tough place to keep a restaurant going. That particular location has had a big turnover. Lack of parking doesn't really help.

Good food, in a town with not many burger/meatapolooza choices. At $60 for 2 adults and a kid it's not great value, but everything was tasty. The vegan Thai noodle plate was yummy.

I don't have enough adjectives to describe how good this place was. It was so good we went two different nights while we were there and wanted to go a third night but they were closed. We tried 3 of the salads, 2 of the appetizers, two entrees, and two desserts, and they were each and every one superb. The staff was also delightful. LOVED IT!

Unusual place. Casual and hip but take their food very seriously. Preparation and presentation are excellent. Interesting mix of flavors. Everthing we tried, from the burger to the salmon and shrimp salad , was excellent. Deserts may be their weakest point but still very good.

I had a fantastic dinner here recently. I visit Moab about once a year so I've already been through most of the standard places for dinner (Zax, Pasta Jay's, Buck House Grill, Desert Bistro, etc) so it was nice to see someplace new in town. Dining room is really nice. Open, pleasant, with quirky touches in the form of tie-dye chairs, neon table lamps, and colorful daisies. I split the sirloin steak appetizer to start. It was wonderful - cooked just enough and really flavorful. I then got the almond salmon for dinner. The "small entree" thing is great - for $10 you can get a great meal that is not gigantic. Especially in comparison to other area restaurants, which tend to feature higher prices and way too much food, this is an excellent deal. The salmon was delicious, with a really interesting almond/citrus glaze. And then for dessert, I tried the chocolate peanut butter pie. SUPER decadent -- it's like the pie equivalent of a snicker's bar -- and needless to say delicious. In sum, Twisted Sista will definitely enter the rotation of Moab restaurants I frequent. I hope it sticks around!

Really delicious!!! We stopped just for a snack and a couple of beers and had such a nice time we are definitely returning for dinner. Menu is great. Not average at all, so be ready for some new flavors. Nice service and reasonable prices.

Very good service. Cute place. My wife and I had some tapas and then split a pretty good spinach salad. So far so good. Then we got the special Chilean sea bass on rice noodles with veggies and sweet spicy thai sauce. Delicious! Closing the night the chef sealed the deal with an incredible mixed berry sorbet. Freaky good!

Just got into MOAB and this place had good yelp reviews. Had great expectations for this little spot. We ordered the chicken lolipops and flat bread apps. Chicken was under cooked with a cold bbq sauce that tasted like it came out of a Kraft BBQ sauce bottle. The flat bread had a good cream cheese dip, but the olive dip was disappointing. You can skip this place it is mediocre at best. We also had other items, but I think I made my point about this place.

My brother and I were in Moab for a couple days and we were so happy we found this place. The Tapas style was just what we wanted and the food was really innovative and well done. Shrimp and chorizo meatballs may sound like a weird combination, but it's a stroke of genius. The BBQ chicken pops were great, the shrimp wrapped in prosciutto were delish, and my chilly Sauvignon Blanc was perfect for a 103 degree day in the desert. This is contemporary, upscale food at a really reasonable price. Different from anything else you'll find in Moab- definitely check it out!

    (4)
  • Jack L.

The tapas selection is rather limited, so perhaps it's best to not think of this place as a true tapas restaurant. The tapas are more like shared appetizers, and you still have to order soup, salad, and/or entree. Having said that, the food is overall tasty. I enjoyed the French onion soup, as well as the shrimp wrapped in Serrano ham. Didn't get to try the radish salad because that dish is available only during lunch. I ordered the ahi salad instead, and the quality of raw fish was a bit disappointing. The Law of Sashimi still holds - don't order raw fish if you are hours from the ocean and not in a major city. The martinis are nice and stiff. Getting my money's worth on them. I wouldn't say this meal was of great value, but considering the options, this is a good choice if you don't mind spending a few more dollars.

Delicious burger and solid Arnold Palmer. Love the ambiance. The chairs are pretty trippy too. Recommending stoppin by here. Came to check out arches

Stopped by this place on our road trip to California; after we visited the arches. Amazing food. I wanted the chicken drumsticks (saw pics on Yelp) but they only serve them at dinner. BUT the chief just agreed to cook some for us. Delicious with awesome salad. We also had the shrimp wrapped in ham salad and it was spectacular. The end was the amazing chocolate peanut butter pie. Super good. Staff is so friendly. Local good beer. Make sure you stop

You can't miss Twisted Sistas as you drive through town - it's brightly lit and just off the side of the road. And in the winter, it seems to be one of the few places that's actually open with people in it! The interior is a pleasant mix between a log cabin with decorative Native American art. There is a long bar, which seems perfect for solo diners or those just looking for a quick bite. The food is good, but not great. We ordered the shrimp and rice specials of the day and for the price ($25 or so) thought that is was just ok. They did serve local Moab Brewery beer though, which was a nice touch. The tapas menu is a bit limited though, so keep that in mind when you see the restaurant description as tapas. Don't go in expecting a full Spanish tapas menu. I was surprised at the foot traffic they were getting for dinner at 6pm and as a result, they seemed a little understaffed, but still the service was friendly. It's a solid option if you're looking for healthy fare served in comfortable surroundings.

This is the best meal I've eaten during a weeklong tour of Utah's mighty 5 national parks. The food, the service, the presentation was all incredible. I had dreams about the food. You can close your eyes, point randomly on the menu, and you will be served a delicious creation. Twisted Sistas rules!

Perfect spot for a relaxing lunch. Just wrapped up a long hike in Arches and looking for a good lunch before departing Moab... found it! The menu caters to a wide pallet from soup and salad to wraps or tapas and heavier burgers or sandwiches. Cool vibe to the place, someone had fun painting the chairs! Nice bar with local and regional beer and wine. I'll certainly stop back the next time I'm in town!

Food and service were excellent. I needed a comfortable place to eat and write my book with an 8 year-old in tow. They had a kids menu for coloring, a list of menu options for her, and plenty of gluten free food for me. Free wifi and no issues if you linger between lunch and dinner. Casual, warm atmosphere. Clean restroom and courteous service. I was particularly impressed with the level of attentiveness to my little one.

Disappointed after all the positive reviews. We were seated on the roof with which held a very bleak ambiance. Not much to look at except the air conditioning unit. My partner ordered the spicy garlic shrimp. It was supposed to be served on a potato pancake, but it was mushy and tasteless. The shrimp were covered in what looked like basic cocktail sauce. My partner sent it back. We shared a spinach salad, which was good, but too small to make a meal. I had the curry coconut shrimp which we ended up sharing as a dinner. Basically we paid 25 bucks for 6 shrimp and a small salad.

Good but I honestly feel like I missed out on eating somewhere else that would've been delicious with a good view (next time I'm trying Desert Bistro). Food concept and decor was very cool but execution was barely passable. Bottom line, my chicken lollies were undercooked and I could tell where they cut corners by incorporating a lot of the saw elements into a lot of the dishes. They also failed to refill our water glasses. Not worth what we paid.

I chose this place after seeing that they had wi-fi because I really needed a place to charge my electronics and to use my laptop. When I got there, they were very welcoming and accommodating to my need to charge stuff and to use wifi. I ordered the Seafood Tom Yum, and to summarize it I think it's just a Thai version of "chicken noodle soup." I describe it like that because it was very hearty, with loads of veggies and different seafood, mixed in with the curry + noodles. I would've given the dish a 5 star, but the curry was a little watered down for my taste. I think a 5 star curry dish has to have a good balance of creaminess, mixed in with the soupiness. But it was still a good dish. Very grateful for how accommodating they were for travelers like me!

We didn't really see much of the advertised southwestern fare on the menu. We weren't starved and settled for the French onion soup Au gratin, and the Jamon Serrano flat bread appetizer. Both were very good, and if they doubled the size of the flatbread to that of a personal size pizza (priced appropriately ), they'd sell a bunch! We'd return.

Very small and cute restaurant. Family of four seated upstairs. It was hot up there in April. Started with drinks and tapas. Had: Moab-a-Rita (Yummy. Very refreshing) Flatbread with artichoke & olive tapenade & black bean cream cheese (Yummy, yummy) Curried Coconut Shrimp 6 coconut curry battered shrimp served with a pineapple sweet chili sauce. (The BEST ever!!!, would come back just for these) Chicken Lollies 4 crispy Drumsticks tossed in a Spicy-Sweet Chili BBQ sauce, served with an Asian-Peanut Coleslaw (Pretty darn good) Baked Brie A wedge of warmed brie encrusted with Almonds and Paprika served with garlic herb flatbread (Omg so good, want this again!!!) For main course had: Seafood Tom Yum (too spicy to enjoy. I like spicy but ugh way to hot for us) Beef Tenderloin (Omg again!! So good) Salad are fresh and taste great.

We were incredibly happy with our dinner at Twisted Sistas'! We got a house salad with super tasty buttermilk ranch, chicken drumsticks with a sweet BBQ sauce, awesome shrimp bisque, curried coconut fried shrimp, Bloody Mary, and Cabo Wabo margarita. Everything was super tasty and very fresh and tasted high-quality. Kind of expensive, but probably mid-range price for Moab. Our waitress was super nice, and even though we got there a half hour before close, they were more than happy to accommodate us! The building was really cute, too! We definitely would eat here again if the budget allows :)

Decent food, but it is a waste of time and poorly managed. Memorial Day weekend we had a group of 16 one night, and called ahead. They told us they wouldn't serve us. 5 of our group decided to go somewhere else, so our group was now 11. They still would not even take us if we broke into 3 smaller groups. Seriously? We went down the street to the Spoke instead, packed restaurant, all 11 of us got seated in 5 minutes, had drinks in 5 minutes, and our food 15 minutes later -- and everyone got their meal at the same time. Decided to try Twisted Sista again last night. Called ahead with a group of 10, and were once again told no. Went back to The Spoke and had the same phenomenal service as the first time. Will NEVER waste time at Twisted Sista again. With their business model they will close like the last restaurant that was in that space. Who understaffs on Memorial Day Weekend?

My wife and I had a 5 star experience at Twisted Sistas on 7/20. We were looking for a good lunch after a long morning of hiking and found a great one instead! My wife had a flatbread with pesto sauce and serano ham and I had a Turkey wrap and slaw. Being the great guy I am, I took a huge bite of my wife's flatbread and it was AWESOME! Pesto and serano ham may not sound like a great combo, but it was very very good. Turkey wraps are not my usual go to, but this one is different. The turkey is just a little smokey, with tender fresh veggies, cheese and a paprika sauce that made it sing! I had a glass of Moab Brewery's IPA with it and I was ready to hike another 6 miles, but I didn't : )

For Moab, a 5, for global, a 4. The gain flatbread with the black bean cream cheese dip was my favorite. The stuffed goat cheese peqillo peppers were great, coconut shrimp were good but not mind blowing. Baked Brie - inspires me to make it at home. Definitely a stop while in town.

October 21, 2014 I ordered the beef tenderloins and loved it. The dish came with beef tenderloins smothered with a light sauce, onions and mushrooms. The potatoes were very good and the mixed veggies were obviously fresh and prepared perfectly. Service is always so very pleasant here and I love the atmosphere. On the quiet side, but there is some sound from the kitchen and pleasant background music. I ordered the meat medium rare and it came medium. It was still tender and flavorable. Cost was $21 for the main dish, and $5 for the peanut butter pie I could not resist. It was great. Note the main dish portions are moderate, but the dessert was filling.

Off season I came in for dinner while passing through town. It's iff season and not busy so I ordered the special which was a seafood on fettucini. It was very tasty with vegetables and mint. And a spicy kick with shrimp, mussels, clams and scallops. Good wine selection. And the atmosphere is very appealing. Eclectically classy decor and nice music. They were ready and attentive even on this slow night. For a cool place, great service and food, I give 5 stars.

Have to say I was disappointed. If you like spicy food maybe this sinuous place, only 3 Main courses that were not marked as spicy. A little pricy for what it is. Very small portions. Chicken fingers Kids meal, 7.50! Came with two small chicken fingers and hardly a handful of fries. My pork tenderloin tasted burnt and also very small portion for $21. The bacon in the dish tasted like the bacon from a cheap can of pork and beans. Soggy and no bacon flavor. Best thing of my main course we're the steamed veggies. The best thing of the meal was the French onion soup. Very tasty! But pricey. $6 for an average size cup. And yes,a little spicy as well. Not kid friendly based on the fact of the high cost of the 3 kids meals offered and no high chairs or busters. My wife did not even get a full meal, Just what would be considered a side salad. Then my pork tenderloin, two soups, and one kids meal came to a whooping $53 before tip! Why yelp places this at $$ is beyond me. That is expensive in my book.

It's a nice place comfortable. The prices are reasonable. I orderd a chicken club. The chicken was a tougher and drier than I would have liked. The sandwich as a whole was dry. My friend had the gluten free version and she enjoyed it very much. Our server was attentive and friendly.

The seared ahi tuna salad was good really liked the wasabi cream that was served on top of it. The chicken lollipops with the sweet chili sauce were excellent and the peanut slaw served with it with some of the best slaw ever had. Everything on the menu sounded great and there was a lot to choose from. This is a place I would definitely stop back again when in the area.

If you come to Moab and haven't eaten here, then you missed out. Extremely friendly, courteous and speedy service, and too notch food. We had the pomegranate-beet salad, tom yum soup, and grilled eggplant. Everything was seasoned to perfection and displayed beautifully. They have a full bar if you are a cocktail drinker, and a good selection of wines and local beers. My husband and I also enjoyed the tasteful decor and cozy atmosphere. Support a small-town business, come eat here after a long hike or mountain bike and you'll be as happy as we are.

The food was ok but not for the price and quantity. The service was awful. We were not told about the specials which would have changed my order. I over heard them from another server. When I asked about them our server was offended. Our glasses were not filled once by the server, we had to go up and ask the hostess for more water. Another server took our plates away and had to find our server for our check 20 minutes after we were done we finally got our check.

Overpriced, mediocre food. Extremely limited options. Service was poor, water wasn't filled once during our meal until the very end. Cute environment but the food quality did not justify the price. Maybe their dinner just sucks, try lunch??

  • Laura J.

Ok, while the food was very tasty, it was more expensive than I had originally thought. My husband and I both got the house salad, he got French onion soup and I got the baked Brie. He got Moab brewery beer in a can and I got the ginger margarita. Very tasty but still, $49 for appetizers and drinks? Too expensive. We will not be back. Oh and by the way, there is no need for candles on the table. We almost started a fire when the papers we had caught on fire, and ruined our good map.

Wow! What a great Moab find!! From the first amazing Bloody Mary, fantastic coconut shrimp, and sensational steak salad to the dreamy Peanut Butter Pie I thought I had died and gone to heaven! Will be going back every time I am in Moab! You gotta try this place!

Middle of the road place. Not impressed, but at the same time not disappointed... Why I came... just finished a long day of hiking and wanted something lite to eat and a GOOD long island to cap off the day. Why I left... wanted to get a traditional long island. THEY CAN'T DO THAT HERE. You have to get their house version. Evidently they don't have sweet and sour etc. You have to get it with pineapple and it's VERY sweet. Unfortunately I found this out when the drink arrived. So... One and done here. You hate to have to pay $10 for a drink you don't like. Doubt I will be back...

This place was delicious and the flavors were the sort that brought out my inner foodie. My friend and I shared the jamon Serrano flatbread, spicy garlic shrimp, shrimp bisque and ahi tuna salad. The flatbread was tasty and I wished it wasn't just tapas sized and I could eat a giant sized one. The garlic shrimp had an amazing sauce on them that had layers upon layers of flavor, the spice was enough to clear my sinuses, but didn't overpower the flavor. The bisque also had great flavors and depth. the salad was bright and fresh and just what was needed to fill me up without making me feel sluggish as most restaurant food tends to do. To finish off our server recommended the peanut butter pie, and I must admit- I did not want to share with my friend! I was polite though and gave her her share, but not without some unhappy thoughts.

We went twice for lunch. The first day I had Jambon flat bread, ham, kalamata olives and spinich on flat bread. My wife had the French onion soup. Followed by flour-less chocolate cake for desert. Way over the top for everything. The next day we went back and had the reynolds wrap and the chicken bacon sandwich with more chocolate cake. Not quite as good as the first lunch, but still quite good. Same friendly knowledgeable server both days.

Twisted Sistas is a charming place with delightful food and friendly service. We chose items from the tapas menu, but they also have entree sized dishes. To start we had a baked brie served with freshly baked flatbread. The cheese was perfectly baked, with a bit of the skin caramelized. The bread was warm an tasty. Our second dish was shrimp wrapped in serrano ham, and served on a bed of greens. These were also a delight. We finished with a slice of chocolate peanut butter pie. Made with graham crust this pie was a perfect ending to a fabulous meal. Twisted Sistas is a must stop on any trip to Moab.

After a long day exploring southeastern Utah, a shower and a relaxing meal at Twisted Sistas was just what I needed. The wait staff was prompt, attentive and helpful and took time to explain the various menu options. We ordered the beet salad, asparagus, coconut curry chicken and the flat bread with tapenade. With the exception of the asparagus, all of our choices were terrific. Something about the combination of irony, citrusy and salty flavors of the asparagus dish were slightly less than tasty, but I admire the effort. Attention to small details was evident throughout the meal, as each dish arrived beautifully plated, embracing the simplicity perfectly!

There is a first time for everything. After a long day of hiking we drove into town to eat and arrived at this restaurant 25 minutes before closing. No one was waiting to be seated. They turned us away saying the kitchen was too backed up too close to closing time and were not sitting anyone. My first impression of Moab, aside from the beautiful parks, has not been positive.

Very friendly service, good food. I had a daily special, which was halibut over rice pilaf, and it tasted good. Washed this down with a local brew. All good. It's apparently labeling itself a tapas place. I've been to Spain, and they didn't strike me as really being tapas in any Spanish sense of the word. Nonetheless, the halibut and rice were good.

Stopped here on our way out of Arches National Park. The shrimp/tomato/coconut curry soup is amazing! I want the recipe. Perfect to warm you up in the winter time. My husband had the pork medallions and I had the beef tenderloin medallions and both dishes were amazing! Fresh ingredients and good portion size. Highly recommend this cute cafe for a tasty dinner.

We went here on a whim, based on the colorful sign and the fact that they were open for our random lunch time (3:30). For starters, we had the flatbread with tapenade and the coconut shrimp bisque. Both were good, but the coconut shrimp bisque was memorable. As our entrees, we had the buffalo chicken wrap and the garlic mushroom burger. Both were really great! I would come here in a heart beat next time I'm in Moab.

3 star reviews are a bit of a cop out, but that's actually how I felt about the place. On the plus side: it's a funky place in a small town. This shows some guts on their part, and the last thing Moab needs is another place offering $10 burgers and $18 ribs and fries. On the negative side: to me the term 'Tapas' implies dishes at least something vaguely Spanish. This is not the case here. Most of the tapas dishes listed on the menu are cooked with some sort of cheese base, which may appeal to some, but as a lover of true Spanish cuisine disappointed me. We ate three 'tapas' dishes, the calamari, the curried shrimp and one of the days specials, a cod dish served with noodles and seaweed. The calamari was awful, braised apparently in a Pesto, (but actually a sweetish broth). The shrimp were ok, but there was no discernible curry flavor. The cod by comparison was very good. My wife's beet salad was, as mentioned by other reviewers, not overly satisfying. My ahi tuna salad was ostensibly ok, but the tuna was tasteless, and the salad bland. If they'd kicked it up a (wasabi) notch it might have hidden the tuna's blandness, but they didn't.. Too bad. Conclusion: currently weak food offering offset by a fun setting and enthusiastic wait staff. I think a lot of the more upbeat reviews reflect that Moab is not a strong food market. That's a fair point, and as so they'll probably survive, but if they can lift their game a little they'll actually do well. The Tapas thing is a good theme, but please learn a little about Spanish cuisine before using that theme.

eclectic decor, great service, but above all outstanding food, sampled garlic spicy shrimp, flat bread with spreads, coconut shrimp soup, and their halibut specials. Truly outstanding, the halibut dish was the best I have ever had. Kudos, we would come back.

Just stopped in again on our way to New Mexico a year later. We were here in November '13 and again in May '14, Wish there was a way to leave a sixth star. The food and service were as good as ever, I had the fish wrap with Alaska black cod. Just amazing. Still nothing competes, in Moab or many other places for that matter, with Twisted Sista. We'll be back in April on our return trip with out a doubt. This is our go to place when we pass through Moab!!!!

Really nice place. Three out of four things we ordered were excellent, the fourth was ok. They massive a lot of dishes fresh (try the beat salad). Nice folks working there.
