South Seas has always been a huge favourite for locals and it was rough going after their old location closed....craving the best Chinese around and unable to have it sucked so the tiny dive joint that used to be someone's home is ok by me! Cantonese style chicken chow mein and paper wrapped chicken is a must, a gotta have every time I order.

This little family owned restaurant is sooo good! It is super affordable and the people are very friendly. I went with a group of friends (12) and we almost took over the whole restaurant. All of them were very pleased with what they ordered. I got the Kung Pao chicken and Sweet and Sour which they were a plus! Try it out if you are close!

This place is so freaking good. Yes, its in a divey little house, whatever. They are so nice there and remember their customers. I ordered food from this place probably once a week for 3 years and they knew my number when I called and just said "See you in 30 mins". Pon Pon chicken, ham fried rice, and chicken lo main with a side of pink sauce, it's heaven in your mouth. Everything on their menu is non-greasy and delicious. The Chinese food by my house now is just awful in comparison to this place.

Love the Lunch menu special. great food for a great price. I just wish I lived close so I could come here more often. I would recommend the egg fu Yung as well as Pon Pon chicken.

I absolutely love this place! i have been a loyal customer for a couple years now. I usually call ahead so i can just pick my order up. its a small little place but the people are very friendly. It is family run and they are always willing to do anything for the customer. I used to live a little outside of their area but they were always willing to drive it to my house if i needed even just before close! they even gave my grandma a ride back to our house once when she walked out to the street to help them find our townhouse because they were kind of hidden.

Fried rice was great. Other than that, everything was mediocre. The hot and sour soup was too salty and too thick. The pompon chicken seemed greasy. The place lacks personality and service was just adequate. This was a one time visit for me.

Garlic Shrimp with noodles for lunch and a splash (ok a tidal wave) of Rooster sauce. Service was good and food the was great. I will go here again.

You will find this restaurant in the back of the yellow house. There are about 5 tables so seating is limited(really limited). Most of their orders are delivery and take out so finding a table is not hard. During the summer they did not have air conditioning so it was very hot and hopefully a temporary problems. The food is good and made fresh. They have combination dinner where you have several choices of Chinese food. That is what I mostly get. The egg roll is really good and have a sweet taste to it but they are not consistent. The Beef and broccoli is another item I get. They have 8 dinners option that serve 2 to 4 people. Lunch is available from 11 AM to 3 PM (Mon. to Fri.). Asian items are 4.95 and 5.95. They have 28 different meals to choice from. All come with a soup(Egg Drop or Hot and Sour), deep fried wonton, and steamed or fried rice. They have some American lunch specials like cutlets, chicken fried steak, fish and chips. They have Thai food but I have not tried those out yet.

I like this little place. It's a little hard to find, but it's a little gem, There's a large yellow sign on the front lawn of what appears to be a residential house. Drive to the rear of the house and viola! PARKING!! : ) Enter at the back door. The restaurant is tiny by comparison to many other places. I believe it has a total of five tables. I rarely sit down to eat, considering that I am ordering for take out. I wish I lived a lot closer to this little place so that I could get my Chinese food delivered!! This little place is a Mom & Pop establishment, owned and operated by a husband and wife team. He does all the cooking, whereas she does some of the cooking and general customer service. I always get the #2 Combination Meal consisting of Chow Mein, Sweet & Sour Pork, Fried Shrimp and Ham Fried Rice. I usually order a side Egg Roll too.... absolutely delicious! Don't let the small time and sort of weird looking "residential" exterior fool ya.... you're gonna love it!! : )

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
