Pizza Pie Cafe Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Absolutely fabulous buffet lots of different types of Pizza and dessert pizza. Many different types of pasta with many different toppings. If you can't decide which sauce take a little of each. The salad bar is clean, fresh and I especially like the cranberries . It is clean and the best I've ever seen and the taste is superb. Robin happy smiling there to serve and she told me she's one of the new owners. The crew great about cleaning up with big smiling faces. Very enjoyable.

I had high hopes for this place. After all... it combines two of my favorite words: pizza, and unlimited. We decided to try it out for a work outing. The price isn't so bad... 7.95 for lunch. The lady taking our money was very nice and told us about the special pizza they had for the day and also pointed out the soups and salad bar. One of the people in our party has allergies and asked if they could accommodate her, but the guy that helped her (manager or owner?) was quite rude about it. Our whole table was shocked at how unresponsive he was while taking the order, and when he brought the custom pizza out (20 minutes later). The food was okay. It was nice to try several different kinds of pizza. The slices are small like you'd imagine, and they had about 6 or so different kinds with some plain and some very unique flavors. A personal favorite was taco pizza that had crunched up tortilla chips on it. Unfortunately, just like any buffet, the pizza wasn't warm and although I was okay eating it, it wasn't the best quality. They also had dessert pizzas which were way too sweet for my taste. Everything from apple, to oreo, there were quite a few to choose from. I'm glad I tried it but probably won't be back any time soon.

Mass-produced pizza in a child-friendly environment. It's tailor-made for Utah families, which means it's pretty bad for foodies. The "fire alarm spicy pizza" had one pickled jalapeno on it. Sorry, but that's just weak sauce.

I really liked this place. Close to home, good freeway access, and tons of PASTA and pizza. What else can I ask for? The buffet is decent, with many different noodles to choose from, and many sauces. There is also a salad bar, and a large pizza bar. I didn't have any savory pizza myself (heard it was average) but had almost all pasta sauces and all dessert pizzas. They were all really good! There is no protein in the pastas though, so if you like yours with chicken, or shrimp... You won't find them here. I believe there is a red meat sauce but probably not a lot of meat there. For the price ($9) I think this is a good option! It is very kid friendly, and the tables are bussed very quickly! I'll be coming here more often than to Noodles & company!

REVIEW: My husband and I were skeptical about trying this place out, as we have had poor experiences with pizza buffets in the past, but we had a buy one get one free coupon, so we thought why not. I am happy we gave it a chance! This is by far the best pizza buffet I have been to. They not only have a variety of unique pizza options (spud-o-licious, chicken alfredo, buffalo wing thing, etc.), along with the classics (pepperoni, cheese, meat lovers, supreme, etc.), but they also have a salad bar, a create your own pasta bar, and an assortment of dessert pizzas (which is sometimes more like a cookie or brownie than pizza). DEALS: We were also advised by the friendly staff to join their text club, and boy are we glad we did! They send you text message deals 2-3 times a week, and it can save you quite a bit of money. For example, today's special offer is: buffet price - $5.99, medium drink price - $0.99. GREAT DEASL! :) ADVICE: Get the pizza (especially the dessert pizza) when it is fresh. Do not wait to eat it, either! As pizza does, it will get cold sitting at your table.

This was my first time here and my last. I was hungry and figured I'd try this place out for lunch. $7.82 gets you an all you can eat pizza, salad and pasta buffet. Soda is extra. I had high hopes but was disappointed. Let's start with the salad. It was a big bowl of brown lettuce. Serious. Brown. Looks like the bagged stuff from the grocery store that has sat around for a few days. Toppings were decent, lots of things I like and they even have a couple pasta and potato salads thrown in. But the lettuce mix was brown. The pizza; If you prefer thin crust, you won't find it here. All have thicker crusts and some of the slices I had weren't fully cooked and they were doughy. There is a good selection of pizzas from buffalo chicken, to a combo and even one with sliced potato and bacon. I prefer thin crust but will eat medium crust if it's available. And cooked. Another thing, the shelves they are on are stacked two high and very small. You can barely reach in with your spatula to get your slice. Too much effort for bad pizza. Now let's turn to the pasta. There are many selections; angel hair, bow tie, spinach fettucine, etc. I liked that. And they have about a half dozed sauce selections. The employees there give you the pasta, you add the sauce. As I lifted up the lid of each sauce, there was a fine layer of grease on top. Eeewwww.. The marinara looked the best and it was actually quite good and the pasta was cooked well. I also tried the alfredo and found it to be disgusting. So one star for the marinara and the person who took my money. She was friendly and happy. Won't be returning. Not worth the $7.82.

If you want inexpensive lunch or dinner then this is a place to go. They have special all the time so watch out for that. The Salad bar is basic but they have a many choices for pizza. They get you in quick and you get what you want and you out the door. Great place for kids.

This place is great for kids and adults alike! I was skeptical, as I am of any buffet, but this place was surprisingly good. We went on a Friday evening and were able to find a table easily. It is fairly priced at $8.25 for adults and anywhere from $2.50 to $5.50 for kids under 11 depending on their age. Drinks are a separate charge. The place was clean and all the staff was friendly. I heard one person complain that all the staff is too young but I didn't have any issues. The salad bar is a little small but you can still throw together a decent salad if you are like me and can't justify all that pizza unless you have a veggie first. The pasta bar is great! You tell the guy behind the counter what type of noodle you want and he dips it in hot water to freshen it up for you. I loved that touch! I had the spinach linguine with Alfredo and it was excellent. The pizza was good too. Lots of options to make everyone happy. I will say they cut the slices so small that sometimes you don't get a lot of toppings. But when you get a good piece, it is worth it. I like the Chicken Ranch and the cheese pizza. My husband loved the Firehouse pizza with the jalapeños and the Potato pizza. And we both liked the raspberry dessert pizza. I did notice that as the night went on and it got busier a lot of people were having to wait quite some time for a table to open up so go earlier if you want to avoid that.

Do you miss the cafeteria style pizza from elementary and middle school? Then this is your place. Puffy bread crust, lightly sauced and lightly cheesed, baked to that perfectly bland khaki color. Absoloutly plain and boring. Fits perfectly in to the Chuck a Rama niche that Utah has become so well known for.

Let's just judge this for what it is: mass-produced pizza, pasta, and salad, that's set out to feed the masses in massive quantities. That's the concept here: you pay a fixed amount ($8.25 for dinner) and you get a free pass to chow down on all the pizza and salad and pasta and dessert pizza that you'd like. Drinks are sold separately, and there's the basic drink assortment you'll find at the fountain. I'll preface with this: stick with the pizza. It's the best of your options, and it's fine. Thin-ish crust, and they should have out about 10 varieties to choose from. If you can, get it while it's fresh. Unfortunately, if it sits more than a few minutes, your enjoyment with drop significantly. Since it's an AYCE concept, they're going to skimp wherever they can. The ingredients are of a decent quality, but you're not going to find it overloaded with meats or whole chunks of veggies. That's the name of the game. Of note, the BBQ pizza and buffalo wing pizza, as well as the combo. Not a one of them was terribly memorable, but that's okay. They were fine. The salad bar was standard. I ate at the end of the night and the lettuce was looking pretty tired. But they have all the fixins, and a few pasta salad options to choose from. Completely satisfactory. The pasta is a nice touch, but the sauces were not my favorite. The sausage-based sauce was more like gravy, and the red pepper sauce was too sweet for my taste. Both were almost pasty in consistency and I just couldn't do a whole plate of it. I forgot to try the basic marinara, so perhaps there's a good, basic option? When it came to the dessert pizzas, I kept wondering who invented a dessert pizza. I've had some nice iterations, but this stuff wasn't my cup of tea (slice of pie?). The raspberry, cinnamon, and cookie dough (separate...they don't have one that combines all of those flavors) were all topped with what had a mouthfeel of what I'm calling low-grade adhesive. The raspberry was frighteningly neon red, and while the Oreo tasted just like Oreos, I kept wondering if that was a good thing in my pizza. Maybe your kids would get a kick out of it, but it just didn't light my fire (slice my pie?). For the convenience factor, this really can't be beat. Walk in, pay, fill your stomach and hollow leg with as much pizza as you can. Kids will dig it. It's not too expensive, and it's pretty dang quick. But the food is exactly what you'd expect when feeding the masses.

Have been here several times and love the salad bar the most. Pasta is decent and the pizza is good if you get it fresh. However, on my latest visit I was disappointed. I went in with a friend excited that the sugar cookie dessert pizza was back. We arrived around 11:30 and were there for an hour, but no pizza of the month was ever put out. I asked twice when it would be ready and both times was told "It should be out at some point". Not very helpful. It never came out and after over an hour we were done waiting and left. I won't be back for a long time.

The pizza itself isn't too bad, as long as you are there during peak hours so it's fresh. Salad bar is usually fresh, I wish they'd bring back the pepperidge farm goldfish for the salad bar, but I don't go there for the salad. It's the pizza, man. You'll want to join their text club for sure. I can't think of the last time I actually paid full price for my meal, I've always gotten a discount from a text. Pretty good selection of pastas and sauce too. It's reheated, but at a discounted price, I don't care. All you can eat for a fairly low price is the type of quality you can expect. That being said, the ranch chicken pizza and potato pizza are delicious. The raspberry dessert pizza is awesome as well. The service is friendly enough, and the employees keep the restaurant and bathrooms very clean. If you haven't tried it before I recommend it. I'd give it a solid B.

I absolutely love this place! Every time that I've gone, the pizza and salad bar has been great. They have this potato pizza that's unique and tastes great. Also, there's an Oreo desert pizza that's really tasty. I joined their texting list and I get a text whenever they have deals going on. When you come in, ask if you can do the same.

Was my first and last time here, was not impressed with any thing here, food reminded me of frozen pizza, that you just throw in the Oven. Pizza was not fresh and the dressings for the salad are very runny. I was expecting so much more since I have heard great reviews about the one in Bountiful,I was not impressed.

This is my first time at pizza pie cafe. The pizza was actually pretty good! The fruit dessert pizzas were delicious. The salad bar was dismal but the 3 bean salad was one of the tastiest I have devoured. The place is a great deal for the price. I used a coupon from the hometown values and fed 2 adults with drinks for under $15. I will likely return.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love pizza. Its my favorite food in the whole world. When I heard there was a pizza buffet in Utah I got pretty excited. Pizza Pie Cafe is similar to CiCi's Pizza that other states have. It's all you can eat pizza, salad bar, and pasta bar. There is also a few choices of dessert pizza on the buffet. The pizza wasn't terrible, but it wasn't fantastic either. It was satisfying and I enjoyed it for what it is. Not gourmet pies here, but they are fresh and generous with toppings. My wife can't eat dairy and they were nice enough to make a special pizza for her and brought it to our table just for us. We appreciated that and the service was friendly all around.

Pretty impressed. For a buffet style, pizza was hot and fresh, replenished quickly. Pasta was made to order with great sauces and hot. Salad bar was fresh too. I really really liked it. Service was nice and space is huge with cool booths that were private

Had a great time at dinner last night. Our only regret is that our teenage son did not come. He would have loved it! Lots of variety in the pizza and pasta. My favorite was the Spud-a-licious pizza. It is like a loaded bake potato but on a pizza. It was fun to have 6 different kinds of desert pizza. The staff even offered to make a special pizza for my boys who are allergic to dairy. Had a great time and definitely have plans to return. Maybe for my teenage son's birthday.

Came to Pizza Pie Cafe with the clients today, and it was okay. The pizza had obviously been sitting there for awhile and was very mediocre. There were no vegetarian-friendly pizzas, aside from plain cheese. By the time dessert rolled around, some fresher offerings had been set out and the cookie dough pizza was probably my favorite part of this meal. The girl who bussed our tables was exceptionally friendly, but after we'd been there for an hour (my disabled clients eat food slowly, though not in great quantities) the manager came to our table and hinted strongly that he wanted us to leave; the restaurant wasn't in the least bit busy. Overall, not worth the $10 per person. Pizza Pie Cafe won't make it into our regular rotation of Saturday lunch destinations.

It's not the best pizza but the salad.bar is very good and was always fresh. Our experience was marred by the presence of a server at a nearby table. She had extremely long hair that was not tied back. She kept touching her hair, then touching the cheese dispensers and the salt and .pepper shakers. When she leaned over, her hair touched everything on the table. Besides the yuck factor, I think this may be a violation of health codes for food handlers. There was a tent card on the table that advertised a low price for the buffet during certain hours. We were there during those hours but paid more. I went back to the cashier to ask about the special price and she told me since we had already paid the higher price, she couldn't do anything, but maybe I should try to remember for next time. I don't know how anyone could get the special price when you don't see any mention of it until AFTER you've already paid. The cashier should tell you if they have a special going, but I guess that's not their philosophy. Very poor customer service.

  • Jen A.

Amazing service! The salad bar has a large variety of fresh ingredients, the pasta is never mushy, they take customs requests, and if you join their rewards program (enter your phone number at the register) you get multiple coupons sent to you weekly.

  • Todd P.

This place is hit or miss. Due to the nature of all you can eat buffet style food, If the pizza is fresh this place rocks! If the pizza has been sitting a while it is not very good. I've been here 5 or 6 times and that has been my experience. I also noticed when it first opened the food was better and it was more hit than miss now that they have been open awhile I think they are more miss than hit. This is probably them trying to control food cost but it is becoming a place that is way down on the list for lunch for me.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
