The Beehive Grill Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Service was good, pretty busy for a midweek afternoon in the bar and the dining room. Fun, and adventurous decor is everywhere and there is some local history/flavor included. Food was tasty and came within a favorable time frame for our lunch meeting.

DONT ORDER THE FRIED PICKLES. Waitron said they were "so good!" Ummmm.... No. Dried up, shriveled, squished, super hard, unbelievably greasy... ( swimming in grease, actually) I never alerted the server cuz the burger I ordered was decent. Anyway, I'm sure they do these up really well in the South, but in Utah, tho? Not so much.

We had a weird experience here. The hostess wasn't welcoming. She started to take us to a seat but then she doubled back to check her chart and took an extraordinary amount of time staring at her papers. We were halfway in the restaurant and it was awkward waiting for her to come back. The waiter was nice although it seemed he didn't know anything about the food. He didn't know what fresh fruit came with the kids meal. He didn't know several other questions that seemed should have been easy. He hadn't tasted many of the meals on the menu. He went to the kitchen 2x to get answers to our questions. We ordered the crab & artichoke dip and it was just ok. Didn't seem to be much crab nor artichoke. The plate was pretty and appetizing. Would have preferred toasted Pita bread instead of soft tortilla-like bread. When we received our meals, my daughter's "fresh fruit" looked like it could have been fresh two weeks ago. The grapes were bruised and wilted. The watermelon looked on the verge of going bad. It tasted fine though just was not appetizing. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was a huge portion so I was excited about it. But it had way too much breeding and probably could have used just a touch longer in the fryer to crisp up the breading. The carrots were wilted and wrinkly and not appetizing at all. The mashed potatoes were hard and dry, even with the gravy. It just wasn't that great of a meal. My husband ordered the tri tip steak. I was quite worried about it. I don't know if it was the lighting or the steak but it had a slight yellow green tint. Seriously do these people not know anything about making food look appetizing? But it was pretty tender and the Jack Daniels sauce was yummy. None of us got sick so that's a bonus. I dunno. The food wasn't BAD per se, but it wasn't appetizing in the slightest. And part of eating is visual. I probably won't go back.

Chips and salsa are so so. Nothing amazing. The homemade root beer is great. I had the fish tacos and after I added extra aioli sauce to them they were EXCELLENT. MY SOM HAD A BACON BURGER and fries and loved it. The waitress was top notch and we will def be back

I came for Wednesday night trivia and had a good time with friends. I ordered a house salad and vegetable soup and was not impressed by them at all. The soup was cold and my salad dressing was very oily. I'll probably be back for another trivia night soon- just don't know if I'll be ordering any food. Our server was definitely a beginner but did a good job for a busy night. On the bright side, their gelato samples are pretty good!

Not impressed. Have tried the place several times, and each time the food has seemed to be worse. Add poor service and slow to the mix. Food is an afterthought. Hamburgers appear to be made from frozen patties, ribs are not slow cooked and are tough, vegetables appear to be from a frozen bag mix and steamed. Maybe I should have expected this, as it is a cheaper restaurant, but I'm still surprised and disappointed at the poor quality. Don't plan to return. Ever

I never thought that I'd see the day when I gave a restaurant a 1 star review but Beehive Grill is very worthy of the title : my first 1 star review. The last time I went there I got a pork sandwich. I felt like I was going to puke for the next 2 days. The time before that I tried their seasonal soda. It said that it was grape but it tasted more like cough syrup. If you were wondering why I kept coming back it's because my family loves it but that's just proof that they are crazy. The only thing that was good there was their root beer. Without the root beer, they would basically be serving puke. So in conclusion: AVOID BEEHIVE GRILL!!!

The wait staff was great but the food suckes it was mushy and greasy as hell. Gave me the shits for a week. Wont be going back there was 6 of us and all had the same experience.

Sat at the bar and got served by the really friendly and very cute -- and very married -- bar keep. Tried the following Moab brews: Moab Especial, Over the Top Hefeweizen, Red Rye IPA, Deadhorse Ale, Nut Brown Ale, and Coffee Porter. The Red Rye and Deadhorse I think we're my favorite. After that it just started tasting like plain ole beer. $1.50 per 12oz glass is a steal where I'm from. I chased it down with a Beehive BBQ Burger which i thought was meh at best. I guess I've been a little spoiled when it comes to burgers. The burger looked like the kind you get from the frozen foods section at the grocery store, so it's kind of hard to get excited about it. Taste wise it was a okay. The cole slaw looked rather simple but it was pretty tasty.

Wait for food was way too long. I understand they were busy but really 45 minutes. BBQ sandwich had no BBQ!

Ok food with excellent customer service. We went in with a group of 25 one hour before they closed. One server took care of all of us and didnt mess up one thing. Customer service gets 5 stars- food gets three Thanks Logan

My wife and I went to the Beehive grill with high expectations, but we didn't like the food. The service was great even though it was at a busy. (Lunchtime)

We stopped in on a Thursday night, not much happening but we had to wait 10 minutes for a table for two. The restaurant is a little odd, they have craft beer from Moab, Utah and they brew root beer on premises. Also, seems like it is trying to find its identity...music was too low to really enjoy, one TV in the middle of the restaurant was turned off, hang gliders and bicycles on the wall. We ordered the cheese steak and shrimp po' boy. Both were OK, nothing that would make me want to go back. Beer was cheap, but again nothing really remarkable. Our server was good.

This place is ok. Kinda weird the bar is behind some old style hey dude swinging doors but ummmm.... Anyways, Had a few good drinks here made with cheap liquor, which made the drinks cheap as well. I'm not mad at that at all. For food I had the French dip which was pretty good. And the Cajun fries are really good and spicy. I didn't try the burger my friend ordered but it looked pretty good as well. The drinks and food came pretty fast. The waitress was friendly as well. If I'm in Logan again, I'll definitely come back.

Yesterday I had my first positive Beehive Grill experience! 25 cent wings are where it's at, my friends. They were a little on the dry side, but for $2.50, who can complain? And, as I've noted in other reviews, I'd eat just about anything that came coated in buffalo sauce. The 25 cent wings are only available Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 3-5 in the bar area. We went on a Sunday at around 4 and it was pretty busy, so I'd recommend going early in order to get a seat at one of the small pub tables or at the bar.

  • Jese R.

I stopped in to grab a beer and some food. Nice to try some Moab brews, but I felt like I was rushed out of the place. I had 2 beers and a burger and immediately handed the check. The Caprese Italian Burger was really good. Not sure how it compares to others in this town but it was a decent spot for a QUICK stop.

  • Sunshine W.

A unique place compared to the other restaurants around town. But unfortunately, all the food and even their prized House Root beer was all very mediocre. I ordered the Salmon with Jullienne vegetables and rice. The Salmon was fresh but the vegetables tasted like they were made from a frozen package. I came back the next night for vegetarian chili and it was way too spicy. At the same time the beans were very bland so the taste was all uneven. Lastly, the service was unimpressive. The waitresses I had were cordial but not warm or friendly. Their attitude felt very fake to me and it made me feel uncomfortable.

Went here with my husband and was pretty disappointed. We waited 45 mins to an hour for our food. (It was a Monday - the restaurant was not busy). Our waiter felt pretty bad for us though & did discount our entire meal. She was very sweet & explained the whole kitchen is practically training. I understand that & still gave her a full tip because it wasn't her fault. However, a business needs to still meet the needs of the customers whether there is new staff or not. The long wait made me starving, so I practically savaged all my food down. It was so tasty to me then because I was starving. Looking back, it was good, but it really wasn't the best food I've had. I don't think the portions are big enough for what you pay. I probably won't return if it's up to me.

Service was good. Food was good. The burgers were good. Cheap food and booze. I will come back for sure.

These folks have figured it out. Really. They take comfort or "normal" menu fare and find ways to kick it up a notch or two. Mozarella sticks? How about we change that to Bleu Cheese Buffalo sticks. Corn bread? How about jalapeno cornbread. Like Vinaigrette on a salad? 3 to choose from including a lime cilantro that I love. Ice cream for dessert? Naw, we want Gelato. This place has it going on. In 20+ visits I have never had anything less than stellar. From the perfectly seasoned NY I had last night, to the smoked chicken salad, to the Philly, to the Mama's Meatloaf. Every time, spot on.

  • Corey K.

If I could afford to eat every meal of my life here I probably would. They have the most well rounded menu around paired with dependably excellent kitchen staff and impeccable service.

    (5)
  • Tom H.

Excellent service. I had the ribs. They were done to perfection. Try their home brewed beer. It's pretty tasty. There's a gal that comes around asking if you would like to sample her gelato...... a great place to try out at least once.

  • Shelly K.

I was actually surprised. I had very little expectations. Got the burger with fresh mozzarella and the bartender must have had a similar palate, as he suggested to add spice to the fries. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Didn't get the bartender's name (was kind of engrossed in working/multi-tasking), but overall, food was good.

    (3)
  • Charles B.

Good food, great service, surprisingly good beer selection. I ordered their special, a kind of patty melt with sauerkraut, which was good but not fantastic. It came with spicy fries which were perfect -- not too greasy, crisp, but not overcooked. The waiter and waitress which serves us were very friendly, knowledgeable, and outgoing. They made the visit more fun. Prices were surprisingly low when we got the final tally.

As a newcomer to Utah and the Logan area, I was looking forward to trying this highly recommended restaurant/bar. They advertise vegetarian food right on the sign (a bonus in this white bread wasteland - sorry, I'm a jerk) and were reported to have good local beer. Uh, "beer." All the draft specialty beers I was looking forward to trying were diluted 4% pseudo beers. Don't lecture me about how I should know Utah laws by now. It's too much to keep track of. So you can serve alcohol to someone who is holding a plate of food, but it has to be watered down, unless they have a special permit taped to their forehead? Whatever. Bah. You win, Utah. You can order regular strength bottled beer if you dig around in the drinks menu (they aren't labeled with percentages, so you may have to ask). Ok, the food. It was reasonably tasty. The dinner salad is overpriced for what appears to be the same non-crisp leaf lettuce they put on burgers. The pasta was extremely overcooked (think Chef Boyardee texture) and drowning in a fatty sauce. Tasty (anything oily and fatty always is), and I'm sure it appeals to local palettes, but I wouldn't order it again. The gelato is delicious, though. I'd give this place another try, and I'll update when I do.

This is a cute place to watch a game. The burger I had was good and so were the onion rings. I was able to get a drink but i had to pay extra to get a regular dose of alcohol. But that is the Utah way, they are funny about alcohol. Our waitress was nice but not very service oriented. She did not clear our table at all of empty glasses or the appetizer dishes. It got very crowded until we finally had to ask her to take things. It simply never ocurred to her to do that OR ask if I wanted another drink. Nice TV for a game but they play the music so loud you only get to read the sub titles on the screen. It seems to be a popular local spot and they have lots of daily specials. It is open on Sundays too which is a rarity in Logan.

I was thoroughly disappointed with my visit to Beehive Grill and I doubt I will ever return. There are too many dining places in Logan to spend good money here. I ordered a hamburger and it was the saddest burger I've ever received, including burgers at fast food places. It was dry, overcooked and burnt on one side. The bun was soggy and flavorless. The fries were cold, hard, and dark brown. As bad as the food was, the service was worse. After delivering our food, the server only approached our table once and we had to wave at him to get his attention. Both of our glasses were completely empty, but he was too busy flirting with the waitresses to do his job. The double duo of bad service and bad food means this place is off my list of Logan restaurants.

  • Gigi H.

This place was amazing. Brew pub that includes real micro root beer. What could be better? The food was so tasty and affordable. Portions were filing and the staff very friendly and helpful. This would place would be on my regular list if I lived here in Logan.

  • Nicholas S.

After waiting a good 40 min after ordering the food finally came. My behive burger was great and so were the fries. My date on the other hand started to feel sick and asked me to try her food to see how it was. Everything was good until I dipped her sandwich into the French dip. Suddenly I started feeling sick too. Everything was great but the dip. -1 for bad dip -1 for the wait

Nice, flavorful American food at reasonable prices. Cute outdoorsy decor. Pitchers and pitchers of root beer! We had the house salad (huge, lots of veggies, delicious cilantro sunflower dressing), the blt (picky child approved), the navajo taco (perfect portion, good flavor) and the black bean soup. I was impressed by the flavor of all dishes. I'm not a root beer expert, but it tasted good to me! Kind of a fun, quirky thing to specialize in. And, as other reviewers have said, it's open on Sunday. Which save our hungry stomachs!

This place was okay. If you're looking for a burger it's not a bad idea.

We went in once and their beer & cheddar soup was outstanding! We were in Logan again a few months later and went back because my husband wanted that soup. Unfortunately they must have started cutting corners because the soup wasn't even close to the same, really watery and bland. The ceaser salad I ordered was so fishy I barely took one bite. Maybe it was a new chef, hard to tell.

  • John G.

The place was great! The atmosphere was perfect. The soups were amazing and the drinks had humorous titles. Will be back!

This place it fantastic! We stopped here on our way to Bear Lake and I couldn't be happier. It's right on main street so it's really easy to find and there's plenty of parking. They have a huge beer selection and give out little double shot sized samples so you can try the beers and not be stuck with a whole pint of a kind that you don't like. They also sell their beers (including root beer) to go in quart or gallon bottles. The food was fantastic, and there was a lot of it; we couldn't finish and we all felt sad about not being able to eat more. Although it turned out not to matter when... On the way out we were offered AMAZING gelato and you a 15% discount for eating in the restaurant. I got the life changing Vanilla Bourbon and my friend got the Raspberry which she's still raving about some hours later. If you're in Logan for any reason, stop here.

I've eaten here more than 1/2 dozen times the past year when I come to visit my daughter. I've never been disappointed in the service or food. The menu has enough variety that you can order somethin g different every time. Prime rib, vege burrito, Salads, garden burger .... Delicious !!! Gentry is awesome ! Try the gelato on the way out

Well, my family and I have been to better places and a few worse. We were promptly sat and that was the only thing that went right. Once being sat, it took a long time for the servers to stop by for drinks and even longer for them to take our order. Then it took 55 minutes, yes my wife timed it, for our food to come out. Once the food came out it was mediocre and tasted like it was prepackaged. Would we come here again? No, because there is no reason for the prices or wait time.

    (1)
  • S T.

Asiago ravioli was below average. No distinctive flavors. Trying to do too much with what should be a clean and simple dish. Very nice server

    (2)
  • Kelly B.

OMG can it get any slower service? We r sitting here now and only one other table and it's ridiculous. Food is taking forever. Beer forever. My gosh. Never again. Bok got food. Uggh. Philly cheesesteak was just chunks of meat and hardly cheese. Cold fries. NOONE is here. She said bar was ordering lots of wings. What, 5 people. Now I need to go make lunch. I'm hungry. Don't eat here.

Went tonight to get desserts and some appetizers with family. Service was extremely slow. The place was not even busy so I don't know why it was so slow. Nachos came out cold. Prices on food are average. Not impressed.

After an extremely long day of driving from Death Valley, my husband and I dumped our stuff and went to the Beehive Grill for the second last dinner of our two-week road trip. I had read about the restaurant while we were in the planning stages of our trip, and a quick Yelp browse once we got to Logan confirmed that we should definitely eat there! (not a lot of other places sounded appealing AT ALL). Double bonus, it was right beside our hotel. First positive note: the pack of grannies who were leaving as we were entering, telling us how great the food was, joking around and generally being super cute in the parking lot. We had a choice between the restaurant or the lounge. The lounge was incredibly loud, and we were incredibly beat, so we picked the restaurant. I was surprised with how spacious it is inside. There were a few other families scattered about. We got a huge booth to ourselves. I was looking forward to trying the hand crafted root beer, so that's what we both ordered to drink. It was great! I wanted to bring some home but the car was pretty packed. They also have craft beer which I would have liked to try as well. Next time! There are so many items on the menu, it took me a while to decide. We finally both settled on good ol' burgers with their special root beer BBQ sauce. Very satisfying and delicious. Our server was super perky and upbeat.

  • Blair H.

The portions were huge, the service was friendly and fast, the food was fresh. I ate a Caesar salad with chicken and it was bigger than expected, as was the salmon wrap. The in-house root beer was good but not amazing. Justin was a very friendly and conscientious server. Kept the drinks filled, etc.

  • Chad J.

Food is pretty good, but service was HORRIBLE!!!! My wife and I went here on Jul 28, 2013, at about 7:30 PM. Apparently our server/waitress name was Leigh. I say apparently because she never introduced herself, and never even asked us how we are doing etc. To go back a little, I am currently in a wheelchair, as I broke both bones in my right leg and shattered my ankle into 3 pieces. Plus I am overweight. But she treated me as if I had the plague! She barely said anything and had her "nose up" towards us the whole time, as if she was better than we were! The sad thing is the food was pretty good, I love the homemade root beer. But, I don't want to go somewhere I am treated like dirt! So needless to say, my wife and i will never go there again!

    (1)
  • William M.

The Asiago Ravioli was dang good! Slightly overpriced meals but most places are. Quick service which is nice and the atmosphere was a cool place for a date as well as a place for the bros!

    (3)
  • Scott B.

Service was slow. But loved the $.25 wings. First buffalo wing flavor I like that was not homemade. Root beer was great. Other food was ok.. Price was good but my wife's burger looked pre formed frozen patty. My pulled pork had little flavor.. My son enjoyed his Alfredo.. Overall it was just average

  • Andy H.

I really want to like the Beehive Grill. Service was good but the food is always meh. I keep coming back and giving them another try but no more. If you are looking for a slightly below average meal the Beehive is your place.

    (2)
  • K L.

I wanted to like it. The menu certainly sounds like I'd like it. But everything I tasted was just. . . off. I couldn't quite put my finger on it either. Was it too much of something? Not enough. I don't know.

  • Bevan E.

Gave em a try when they first opened. Not impressed at all. Good atmosphere, nice location, just not great food. Came back and tried them again a year later -- same problem -- edible, but not great food. Was invited by some friends recently and tried yet a third time. As usual I told the waiter to "bring me whatever you think is best". At the end of the night my wife and I both agreed it wasn't that good.

Reliable pub fare. Good place to get a beer. Open late which is convenient when arriving from out of town. Spacious room with wifi.

Stopped in for a Sunday meal. Ate at the bar with Jen and Julia as our servers. Best service ever and very friendly and personable. Food was amazing and service was fast. Very cool vibe and the beer selection was not the most expansive but the quality of brews were awesome. Recommend this place to everyone.

I really have a hard time with businesses that do not pay their employees enough money, and it would appear this is one of them. I am back in Utah and decided to get a take-out order, I was informed that there is a mandatory 10% gratuity added to all take-out orders. When I asked why, the server informed me that "the servers need a gratuity" For me, this means they do not pay their employees enough, and are dependent on the customer to pay their employees' wages, not based on service, but just for coming in. I may as well go to a major chain like Papa John's if I want to support businesses taking advantage of their employees. I know I no longer live here, but my standard tip on take-out is 15-20%, so they would have received a larger tip than they required, but due to making it mandatory this place is now off my radar for when I'm in town. It's really too bad.

Beehive has everything you want. From burgers to black bean sandwiches, this place has specials galore! If you haven't tried their gelato, be careful...one could get carried away with those sweet, tasty spoonfuls! And if you're a drinker, no worries. The beehive will treat you with plenty of beer and cocktail specials throughout the week!

If you love root beer ... this is the place to go! Best home made root beer I've had in a long time. Perfect carbonation. Great flavor. Had the burger with the BBQ sauce and had some root beer in it too! Fantastic! Finally, had the fry sauce with root beer in it as well! Awesome! Oh ... and don't pass on the opportunity to have your fries dusted with jalapeno dusting!

It isn't very often that we get blown away with the first bite! However, that was the case with our Reuben sandwich and fish tacos. The pastrami was extremely flavorful and the tangy kraut topped it off perfectly! The thick-sliced marbled rye bread made for a masterpiece so big they half is going home in a to-go box. The tasty tilapia fish tacos, complemented with the crunchy jicama inside made for a wonderful lunch. Highly recommended!

  • Alex B.

The food is quite delicious but the service brings the whole restaurant down a notch. I'm a regular for their specials because you can't beat the price, but expect poor service. It can range from a server that forgets your table all the way to having ranch spilled on the table by the server. Refills are always slow and even had some very rude servers. On a sweet note, the gelato is excellent and they offer a discount if you dine in which was nice. If you don't care about service and wanna leave a small tip, this is the place for you.

Awesome atmosphere, beautiful building, wonderful food, and overall a great place to eat. We love their Fries, especially when you get them dusted. Way good! There burgers, onion rings, and sauces are the things I have eaten the most of. Delicious!!!! Along with a great staff and good service.

Places that try to do a little of everything are often mediocre at everything. Beehive Grill is no exception. American, Asian, Greek, Italian, Indian? Below average quality of food, below average service. There were handwritten "specials" on a board in the front. When I asked our server for the specials, she pointed to the menu. The menu did not give any details, and the server also could not give details. The food was very average in quality. I ordered "fish tacos" which came in a preformed corn tortilla that looked like the kind you buy in the grocery store. It came with "beans" which were a mess of kidney beans and maybe salsa? My husband ordered "pork chops" that were so dry and tough, he couldn't cut them. Although the chops had grill marks, it looked and tasted like a microwave piece of meat. After being served our food, the server never came back. She didn't stop by to see if we needed refills, we couldn't request a glass of water, she didn't find out if we liked our food or needed some kind of sauce for those pork chops. Very disappointing. She took her time to bring our check too. The place wasn't packed. In the meantime, flies kept landing on the bread, which we decided to let that be the fly landing zone, instead of letting it land all over our food. And no, we didn't eat the bread! I tried not to think what the kitchen looked like, or how many times the flies had landed on my food during preparation and serving.

Lots of beer options AND a huge menu. The food was above average. Service was very friendly. Big, comfy booths.

O.k. Restaurant if you are in the mood to eat out but don't want to eat at a chain restaurant. Plus, they are open on Sunday. Service is generally above average to great. However, you should save room for dessert and try the Gelato.

The Beehive is not a real brewpub. The tanks outside are a ruse. Rootbeer does not count as actual brewing. I say this as though I care, considering I rarely drink beer these days. The gazpacho salad, hummus wrap and veggie burrito (and sometimes accompanying chili or black bean soup) are all excellent. As far as veganizable barfood goes, these make me happy on a regular basis. Also, the bartenders and servers are affable and awesome as all hell. I wish they had an alcove with dimmer lighting sans televisions playing sports. I wish they stayed open past 10pm. I wish they weren't so rapey on their liquor and wine prices. But I wish for lots of things that don't exist here. There's a reason I'm a regular, though: decent (vegan) food and drink from people that don't regard you as a space alien for ordering either.

  • Lizzy P.

We regularly visit the Beehive. First, they are one of the few places open on Sundays which is great! They also have a full service bar when we want to go out for drinks. As a gluten-free vegetarian, there are a few items on the menu that I can get. I usually get a vegetarian chili stuffed baked potato, and I love it every time. It is the perfect amount for me. They are always kid friendly when we bring the family, and it caters to a variety of different preferences so everyone can usually find something they'll like, from burgers to pasta, to hummus wraps. The only reason they aren't 5 stars is because they don't have THAT much for someone like me to choose from. But I love them anyway and will frequent the Beehiive as long as I live in Logan.

    (4)

Two reasons why I am so generous with my stars: One: The veggie burrito was the best Ive ever had. It actually had veggies in it instead of what most places fill them up with (rice, beans, and a ton of fillers)...No sir! Theirs had squash and zucchini and a bunch of other stuff which made it amazing! Two: Super waiter Nick! I came in with a big group, and we had all kinds of crazy requests. Nick had a great attitude, was very polite, and did everything possible to make sure everyone was completely satisfied. I have horrible luck in restaurants, and my order almost always comes to me wrong. So I was given a veggie burger instead of a veggie burrito, and without hesitation, Nick brought out the burrito instead very quickly while my group heckled me about how this sort of thing happens to me every time. Our entire group was very satisfied, and very happy to have stumbled upon this restaurant with such great selection and service. If I ever find myself back in this town I will definitely be coming back!

The good: not noisy. No annoyingly loud music. Friendly and attentive service. Good flavored root beer but it was a little flat and not as cold as I would have liked. The bad: the meatloaf was slightly sweet as was the gravy. The flavors were disappointing. The pork chops were tasty but one was dry and tough the other was good (juicy). The gelato was very good. The lettuce in the dinner salads was bruised and nearly room temperature (would not order again). I would go back to see if our visit was just an anomaly.

I've eaten at this place 4 times in the last 2 years and they are consistent, but that isn't a good thing. Beehive Grill is a beautiful restaurant with a great selection of on-site brewed root beer but I just have water. You can order the premium flavored sugar water if you want to try it. However, the food needs quite a bit of work. It seems most of the food is packaged and fried for the consumer rather than fresh made. Examples are the onion rings and french fries which are quite obviously frozen in a bag and made in some factory somewhere. Burgers use a generic wonder bread type roll, nothing special. And, they charge extra for fry sauce. For the prices they charge for entrees, fry sauce should be free and not want me to pay 25 cents for a tablespoon. Talk about nickel and diming me. I ordered a sloppy joe thinking it might've been made in-house but it wasn't. Same path as the fries and rings. I got less than a quarter of a cup of joe on the bun bottom and I could see white around the edges. Sloppy joes are supposed to be SLOPPY! It was topped with maybe a half teaspoon of cheese so why bother with cheese. And it tasted exactly like Hunts Chunky Sloppy Joe sauce. This could be a great place with the atmosphere, but the food is very low quality. I can't think of any reason to return or recommend. EDIT 11/20/14 Lots has been said about people making phony bad reviews in order to get a discount or freebies. I do not accept freebies to get me to return to any business and have never asked for a quid pro quo on bad review or discount. Not gonna happen.

Awesome service, food for every member of the family, and the beer isn't bad either. We go here every time we come to Logan, and there's a good reason why. Recommended.

Skimming through the Beehive Grill reviews here, I find myself mystified by the negatives. I've been dining at Beehive ever since they opened, tried many things, and have never yet been disappointed. The food has always been well above average, the beers interesting and always on a level far above typical commercially brewed beers. The staff has always been very friendly, and friendly in a genuine fashion as opposed to the common "here, let me kiss your ass" pseudo-friendliness often found in dining establishments. The prices are very reasonable. Kimmie & I typically enjoy an evening at Beehive for under $40.00, including the bar bill. We recently went to Buffalo Wild Wings (who's wings were not as good) and spent over $70.00 for far less (the waitress was awesome however)). Beehive's atmosphere is pleasant, downhomey, clean. All things considered I have to rank Beehive Grill as my favorite non-sushi restaurant in Cache Valley. If they served good sushi I'd have no reason to go anywhere else... Well... not counting the catfish at Texas Roadhouse... Oh...Their Chocolate gelato rocks! All I can figure is those rating Beehive Grill negatively must be lurking in some alternate reality... Tempted to make a political comment here, but you know what I mean... so I won't...

The food at Beehive Grill is sub-par. I have been there a few times and have yet found a meal that has me wanting more. The rootbeer that they brew however, is delicious. I don't even like rootbeer, but I recommend it. Beehive Grill is very clean and I never have to question whether I'll find something non-edible in my food. The service is very good as well.

I am definitely a fan. I am not into the whole microbrewery, but I LoVeD their root beer and the casual dining atmosphere at the Beehive. Our party of nine was seated quickly and received really good service. We had three customers with us under the age of eight, and they can be quite demanding.... well they enjoyed their time at the Beehive Grill as well. Favorites included appetizers hummus and nachos. Entrees of ravioli, almond chicken, fish and chips and sandwiches [burgers, wraps] all received positive critiques from our hungry bunch. I especially loved the hummus appetizer with sun dried tomatoes ~ delish! The Asiago ravioli is fantastic. So glad I ordered it.... we were on the road a few hours before we stopped in Logan... I am thinking that entree is truly worth a two hour drive! The Cache Valley was a beautiful place to visit, Logan is such a charming town. We will be back and we will come back to the Beehive Grill to try something new from their menu!

Really, the only place in Logan I will go for a beer. Wish Utah wasn't so dang strict on alcohol content, but their beers are still tasty and great prices. Food is good, not overall outstanding, but everything I have had is good. Service is usually top-notch, but at peak times, they don't staff the restaurant well enough, and the service suffers due to stressed out waiters/waitresses. It is frustrating to see empty tables but still have to wait 15 mins to an hour because management has understaffed the restaurant, but overall highly recommended!

There's something wrong with Logan Yelpers if Elements has a higher rating than the Beehive. Look: this is a brew pub (or it would be if Logan's ordinances weren't so inane and anti-business--the beer is actually brewed in Moab), with pub food (the exact same menu as served at the Moab Brewery, in fact). Set your expectations accordingly. Me, I'm very happy that the Beehive is here and that's it's lasted this long. The beers are more than decent, and they have a full bar (and root beer) if beer isn't your thing. The menu is diverse and has something for everyone--the soups and chili are reliably good and vegan-friendly. Erin, Andria, Nick and the others run the best, friendliest bar in town (I always sit in the pub area, where the service is much better and no one glares at you for drinking a mug of beer in a friggin' brew pub). And IT'S OPEN ON SUNDAYS! Long live the Beehive Grill...

You get what you pay for. The food isn't anything spectacular, but it's reasonably priced. The atmosphere is great. Their specials are rarely as advertised, so ask questions and clarify pricing and times the specials are available.

Update: This is the 4th time I have submitted this review - this is also the original review. The Beehive Grill reports every negative comment on their boards, so that the negative comments do NOT affect their rating. Please make sure to check the "filtered results" at the bottom. There are some REAL reviews down there. We moved to Logan about 2 years ago and were instantly attracted to the beehive. As a military family, we've moved all over and the standard in service can obviously vary from restaurant to restaurant. We used to be huge fans of the Beehive. In fact, we used to go once a week as a date night (that's about 27 times at least we've been there). However, over the past year or so, the service has seriously declined and so has the food. If you are new to the area, it can have a serious appeal as the Roadhouse is almost always packed. However, most of the time the waitresses don't even know their own menu. We had one waitress who literally argued with us about whether or not they have root beer...(they make it in house). Other waitresses have been lackwitted, slow and generally unfriendly. We're never impressed with the service, and those customer comment cards ARE discussed, but not with their boss. The waitresses watch you put the card into the box, and then gossip about the comments you wrote. We stopped going there because last time we overheard a couple of the waitresses gossiping about a negative comment card. They were pretty much talking bad about the customer and not even paying attention to what was written on the card. Those cards are NOT used to improve the quality of their service, but used as a way for them to talk bad about their customers. They don't care what opinions you have on their lack of service (etc). I used to fill out the comment cards myself, until I overheard what was being said about them. As per the food, it really varies depending on the chef you get. Sometimes it's okay, other times you have to send it back because it was cooked incorrectly. (I had raw salmon once and sent it back...the waitress gave my husband attitude about it) I would suggest eating their clam chowder, as it is almost always good (be careful of extra oil that floats to the top, not very appealing). But, usually you wait a REALLY long time for sub-par food that I wouldn't even eat if I were drunk. We have had a LOT of problems with this restuarant foodwise. Half the time my salmon was raw, the other half my fish and chips were a soggy disaster. Their salads are almost ALWAYS filled with water at the bottom. I took a cup once and drained the liquid into it...filled about 1/4th of my cup with ew. If you bring your family and request a booth, they almost always ignore your request and sit you in the back. They treat you like second class citizens because god forbid you have children with you. Half the time they forget to give them crayons to play with, and they almost always sit you near the loud obnoxious tables. My kids are well behaved in public, don't make a huge mess (well they are kids right?), and we always tip over 15% regardless of the kids being with us. However, this restaurant treats us like garbage everytime we go with our kids. It's sad when your children are placed in the reject section and still are the best behaved. This was another reason why we picked the Roadhouse over the Beehive. Next time you are out, try to compare the two in service, food, and general attitude. This is why we decided to stop going to the Beehive. It was not worth the money, and the Roadhouse seems to be. We're still trying to figure out why the Beehive went down in just about every aspect, in less then one year. It used to be really good, now it's just...ew. Check their menu one day, it says down at the bottom that a 15% tip is considered polite. What kind of restaurant reminds their customers how much they should tip? Shouldn't the tip be up to how well the waitress/es do their job? Why is it even on the menu? For that matter, why does the CUSTOMER know their menu better then they do?! Also, I sent my original review to the actual Beehive Grill. They never responded back, not even "I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience." Nothing. We've stopped going completely. There is no point in giving my business to them when their service is horrible and their food is just as bad. Not to mention how they keep flagging all of the negative reviews about them. Classy. I am absolutely convinced that this restaurant needs to go out of business. Not only do they not care about what the customers REALLY have to say, but they take extra efforts to cover up their constant mistakes. Update: We attempted to go again last week. The service was so bad that about 10minutes after being seated, we got up and left. I hope people start listening to these reviews so that the Beehive realizes you CAN'T treat your customers this way!

Awesome asiago ravioli! We were waited on by Jenny, who gave us great service. In the land of 4% local beer, unfortunately I have to lower my standards on beer. But for 4% beer, it was pretty good!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Beehive Grill. My Tilapia sandwich with the pepper aioli sauce was delish and my husband loved his Gyro salad. Julie, our waitress, was delightful and attentive. I would heartily recommend this restaurant. Unique decor as well. We are from out of town and just passing through, so I am sorry we won't be back anytime soon. Great place!!!

First visit to BG last night. Great food in a clean, casual and inviting atmosphere. We were on our way to a meeting, so we had the root beer rather than some of the micro-brews. Well worth the trip. We will be back again, for sure!

We decided to try this at the last minute and me and my son enjoyed it. He had the Blackened Tilapia Sandwich and I had Fish Tacos. It was all great but the tacos came in mini hard shells and just that would make me not order it again and they need a hotter sauce. Our server was great and very helpful. Although we had trouble finding the front door and laughed about it.

Making Logan a lot less lame on a Sunday (or any day). Sooo glad the Hive has taken over where Blackstone performed so lamely. The space is still way too cavernous and poorly lit (the ghost of the DI), and in the future I will always sit in the bar area. But the food is really tasty, the service enthusiastic if still a little spastic, and the hours are super fantastic (YES, you get one star for being open Sunday night in Logan). They need to chill their beer mugs since ours were warm and hurt our beer. I don't love Moab beers (would rather see Squatters), but that's just personal preference. We had a caprese Italian burger -- delicious and really well cooked with pink inside -- and a Tilapia sandwich -- nicely seasoned and still moist. Great fries. Go early (and late) and often. Lemon gelato also great.

The Beehive Grill is basically a glorified diner. I have been there twice now and both time I have not been impressed by the food. They use cheap grocery store bought buns for burgers and sandwiches, the draft root-beer is gross (A&W draft root-beer is way better), and the presentation of the food lacks any substance. The atmosphere is cool, and the service is average. I only went back the second time because I got a gift certificate. This place did not make a "Raving Fan" out of me. I'll be spending MY money elsewhere.

I was visiting Logan from northern California, where brewpubs are very common. (In fact, the first MicroBrewery in America (New Albion) was opened about 12 miles from here.) I know a lot about brewpubs, so naturally when I drove into Logan and saw the stainless steel brewtank out front, I was very excited. The sign on the front door puzzled me: "Logan's only Rootbeer Brewpub." I should have taken that as a sign of things to come. My dad and I were seated in the restaurant, and the menu offered a 1/2-pound burger with fries for $2.50, but when we ordered it, we were told we would have to sit in the bar. I am aware that Utah has some 'unique' liquor laws, but it was unsettling to have go into a different room just to order a hamburger. But it was good, and a great deal at $2.50! I had a Black Raven Stout (Moab). Its wasn't bad, but not inspiring either - but I have a taste for heavy Imperial Stouts like Old Rasputin Stout (North Coast). I wasn't expecting a Utah beer to compete with Rasputin. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't brewed on-site, like it would be at a brewpub. (Iggy's also brews their beer off-site.) The biggest disappointment was the RootBeer Float - I would assume that since they trumpet themselves as "Logan's Only RootBeer Brewpub" that it would have been better - it wasn't awful, but it wasn't special. It was just carbonated sugarwater. (A&W's also mixes their rootbeer from extract that is made off-site.) I guess that was by biggest complaint - Beehive Grill is trying so hard to capture the "Brewpub" market, and with so little 'fact' to back it up. If the RootBeer had been spectacular, then I could overlook the misleading claim that they are a "RootBeer Brewpub". By definition, a "Brewpub" is a place where beer is brewed on-site. McDonalds is not a hamburger brewpub. Gossner's is not a cheese brewpub. Caffe Ibis is not a coffee brewpub. Adding extract to carbonated sugarwater is a very, very long stretch of the definition of "brewing". The empty brewing tank out front that says "Hot Liquor" is another misleading detail - almost deliberately deceptive! The other misleading claim that bothers me is that Beehive Grill is not the only place in town that mixes rootbeer from extract (A&W's) or has their beer shipped in from an off-site brewery (lggy's, White Owl) - so not only are they not a Brewpub, but they are also not "Logan's Only" Let me explain this another way: I know somebody in Northern California who recently opened an Organic Vegetarian/Vegan restaurant that focuses on local farmers. There are lots of people here willing to pay extra money for locally produced organic food. There are also quite a few people willing to pay extra for Vegan food - (prepared with no meat or dairy). Now imagine a restaurant opening that CLAIMED to be an Organic Vegan restaurant, but the owner was just mis-using those buzzwords in order to jack up their prices and to leech customers. Or imagine going to a store and seeing the owner putting "Made in the USA" stickers over packages that said "Made in China". Wouldn't you wonder what else you were being tricked about? I would have given a lower rating (because I hate being deceived), but that $2.50 hamburger was pretty good, and I gave them an extra star for it. I might go back for one - but they still are not a Brewpub.

Entrees are OK, but the veggies are heated up frozen mush. In the middle of summer, when fresh zucchini is everywhere Beehive is serving tasteless slop and calling it a zucchini dish. Sad that some of the locals think that this is fine dining.

I have been here on 5 occasions and have never left impressed. The food as always been below average - average. I have gotten the tri-trip which was fairly dry. I have also gotten the Jack Daniels burger. It is not offensive, but not stellar. Their soups have been pretty solid the couple times I have tried them. What really makes this place deserving of a 1 star rating is the service. I have gone for lunch on 3 occasions and the service has been fine, although a bit slow. On one instance we went with a group of graduate students from USU to watch the world cup. The waiter was absolutely terrible. He would come 45 minutes between refilling drinks and did not have pleasant demeanor. I almost felt as if we were a bother to him. We had asked for separate checks as people had been coming and going the entire time and he accomodated. I was planning on leaving a tip out of habit until I saw that 18% had been added onto my bill. What a CROC! This waiter was terrible and didnt deserve a tip, however I was planning on leaving one anyway. I dont like been told what I have to give. I was there 90 minutes and had 3 drinks and chips. People had filtered in the area, that I didnt even know and I was been counted in there "group." I still would not have objected to this had I felt the waiter did anything to deserve this. I took it up with the manager and he said it was the policy. I argued with him for 5 minutes until I flat out refused to pay the tip (the only time I have ever done this in my life). I felt like the manager handled the situation poorly. I decided to give it another chance as we wanted to go watch the UFC fight in the bar area that was on free TV. I went with a couple of buddies and ordered some drinks and chips. We were the only ones in the area of the bar we were in. We asked if they would put on the fight and they refused. I asked why and the manager told me that it would encourage fighting in the bar area. I have never heard a more ridiculous comment. I know it is the business perogative to make such rules, but it is my right to criticize them where appropriate. I mean come on if there was a football game on its not as if I would go tackle someone.

My wife and I ate here the other night, and the food was great. It's a good bar / American eatery. The burgers were especially tasty. They've got happy hour specials, like 15 cent wings! What makes it especially nice is that the restaurant is located in a space that used to be a super-high end steak and seafood joint, so you get all the nice decor at much lower and reasonable prices. I think we're going to head in again some time this week to try out their gelato.

Restaurant is tastefully decorated, with clean bathrooms. The hostess greeted us right away and gave us a sample of caramel gelato, which was yummy. Our appetizer was buffalo wings-pretty good, tiny cup of blue cheese. For dinner we had steaks. They were OK, nothing special. The vegetables were tasteless, like the steamers in the frozen section of the grocery, my husband requested extra butter on his potato. It came out dry with 3 pats of butter on paper. He asked for more but his potato was cold by the time they arrived and he scraped the butter off the pat. It is a nice place, just don't get steak and vegetables and bring your own butter!

Pretty average food. I don't think I have found a main dish that I fell in love with, they have all been the same (average). The only saving grace here is the root beer, it is delicious! Their seasonal black cherry soda was also amazing, but their pomegranate lemonade (also seasonal) was strange and tasted like a bad mix of Crystal Light and limes, absolutely no pomegranate taste. The one thing I have really liked food wise, however, was their Thai calamari (which is an appetizer). I haven't tried the gelato yet, but I will next time. Overall, a decent place for big groups, but not a place I would come to unless I really wanted a good root beer.

The BBQ ribs were a joke. The menu said they were slow smoked. They were actually baked in an oven several days before and reheated when I ordered them. They came out very very dry and to much like shoe leather. Can I only give them 1/2 a star?

I really like this place, I've been here a few times and its really nice. Great atmosphere, great food, lots of variety, and their root beer is pretty dang good. They also have real beer. it's pricey for a student budget, but they have certificates on restaurant.com !

This place is extremely overrated. The food wasn't bad, just nothing memorable.. sort of like eating at Chili's.. Maybe I just got the wrong thing? The uncomfortable high rise seating really solidified this as a slightly less than average experience. You can get much better food in Logan for less money.

Great choice of microbrewery beers and love that they brew their own root beers. Really enjoyed the Elephant Hill Hefeweizen. Food was good. I enjoyed their rootbeer burger (tasty sauce). Relaxed atmosphere and good service. Definitely a place I would visit again.

This is a good spot for a casual beer and some food. It's the closest thing to a brew pub in Logan (though it doesn't brew its own beer). The food is decent, but the laid back ambiance is what keeps us coming back. Ask for a side of the rootbeer fry sauce. It's really tasty.

DELICIOUS! I got the fish and chips and my wife had tortellini. Both very good. It's a new place, based loosely off of the Moab Brewery (run by the same people). In a nod to the local clientele, it's a Root Beer Brewery (although there is still alcohol available). Good place for groups, dates, kids, etc.

A huge menu of food that you could make better at home. Chicken fairly overdone, the rootbeer was really missing anything in the way of excitement.

Excellent restaurant with a very fine atmosphere. I must admit, I go there twice a week and is the best deal in Logan. There is something for everyone at the BeeHive. My favorite are the fish and chips, which are even better than the fare I had in England. The burgers are decent, the wings are fine. The black bean soup is to die for. The service is always excellent, for these reasons.... The Beehive is my favorite restaurant.
