I loaf this place! Fresh bread, delightful baked goods, and the fact that it's CHEAP is even better. I'm a huge fan of their $5 "lunch in a paper bag". Here's the deal, I don't want you to look like a total noob, so follow these directions: Go to the counter on the left hand side and place your order on the tickets provided. I always get the whole sandwich with turkey and provolone, and all the veggies. Their pickles and sprouts are delightful. Then, go for the "CC" cookie (chocolate chip). Take that ticket to the register and pay then, they will call out your name once they bring your masterpiece to life; so while they make your sandwich, head over to the cooler and grab yourself a cold beverage. After you receive your meal, make sure they've thrown in your bag of chips. I've never had them mess this up--the real reason I'm having you do this, is so you can get a quick whiff of your creation before you head out the door. Yum. TIPS & TRICKS: * There is no seating at this location, so don't plan on staying. Find a place to have a picnic--that can be either a park, the back of your car, or someone's lawn (just make sure you're willing to give up your cookie as a peace treaty if they don't appreciate you trespassing). * However, there is another Old Grist Mill on the south side of Logan by Walmart. It has dining tables and more options. * Grab a loaf of their cinnamon bread on your way out. I promise it's worth it.

This place is AWESOME. I was working in Logan for a day and the host ordered us lunch from Old Grist Mill; I had the tomato soup (light, yet flavorful and comforting) and a veggie sandwich (came on bread that was fresh and not the least bit soggy). BUT, OMG: the showstopper was the dessert, a chocolate chip pumpkin cookie, which was a little more like a crispy chocolate chip muffin top which was OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, fresh...wow. 5 stars, two thumbs up, don't skip dessert!!

Delicious and inexpensive. Went in for bagels, cinnamon roll, and bread this morning. Bagels are cheap. Could really use more vegetarian options for lunch.

I love getting sandwiches at The Old Grist Mill. They are very simple, but the sourdough bread is delicious and just perfect for a sandwich. The lunch special is inexpensive and includes Lay's potato chips or a cookie and a can of soda. While the chips might be boring, they certainly beat OGM's chocolate chip cookie, which is grainy and hard. Still, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Most of the food at OGM is fairly good, however it is crazy overpriced. I ordered a 1/2 PB & Jelly from them, it was $1.50, and about the size of a small pack of gum. If they would bring down their prices I would give them a better rating, but it's just way too high.

I was at a conference at Utah State and they brought in Old Grist Mill sandwiches for lunch. It was delicious. I need to actually go to the restaurant though to check it out a little bit more...but for now, I highly recommend it for lunch.

This is the place I miss most after leaving the area! I LOVE Old Grist Mill! This is the 400N location does not serve hot soups or sandwiches. (The south location by the new Wal Mart does). I love their turkey on wheat with provolone. It's a great sack lunch and perfect for everyone. You write out your sandwich order on their pre-made slips & you can select as many or as few toppings, veggies, or variety of cheese/meat as you like. Even picky eaters can have their sandwich just the way they like it! The cookies are huge!!

Can't beat this place for lunch! You can't get a meal this cheap anywhere. Amazing sandwiches even better than homemade, chips, a drink, and a giant cookie- all of which are delicious!!

The sandwich, cookie, chips, drink combo for $5 is the best deal for lunch. Don't come to the this location for soup or seating. Head to the southern location for that, but also expect a longer wait (not too long) there.

Lunch special is a good deal, but you have to wait in a very crowded entrance to get it. Nice home-town business to support.

Food: I was looking for a good muffin, but most of their items are bran, so I had no luck here. Good if you're looking for healthier things (of course they still have brownies and cookies and stuff), and they sometimes have samples. Price: A bit pricey for baked goods, but not outrageous. Atmosphere: Friendly. No place to sit, so it's just a walk-in, walk-out type place. Overall: Some good options, but not quite the place you're looking for if you want a lot of sweet, fatty bakery options.

Great bread (of course), but good food. Love to go for hot soups at lunch (GREAT clam chowder). Great sandwiches, breakfast bagels, etc. You feel like you're eating healthy and yet it still tastes good.
