Most authentic Korean in Utah. There are a lot of communication barriers & different communication customs with the owner. I think this is simply a cultural difference. He should maybe consider hiring a separate waiter. However, once you put that aside, you will enjoy your meal! Very tasty!

As mentioned by other yelpers, this little restaurant is worn and tattered. To me it doesnt look like any money has been reinvested in improvements...for many years. Certainly, there must be reasons to explain why not, but lack of business is screaming loud & clear. So, upon arrival at 12:15...the lunch hour, right?...No one here eating, absolutely ... NO ONE. The owner (elderly man) seated me and dropped the menu off on the table. Not a word said. The menu, just as worn & tattered as the restaurant, had a couple pages of various foods. When he returned, I ordered what I thought was a spicy chicken & beef soup...no acknowledgement as to what I was ordering... Well, what arrived was not what I thought that I was ordering...but it was still tasty. I didnt say anything about a mix up. My conversations were one sided...he only said one thing to me...$10.98. Worth coming back here for a meal...lunch or dinner...Sure, the food I tasted was good, but lacking everything else... it wont be anytime soon that I do return. Sorry..."Courtesies"...make a difference.

I am 100% new to Korean cuisine, but really loved my experience at Korean Barbeque & Market on Friday night. The restaurant itself was pleasantly run down, and the grumpy waiter I've read so much about did NOT disappoint. Already planning my next trip! My friend, who knows what he's doing, ordered two entrees for us to share. I'm not sure of the technical names, but one was beef with rice noodles, and the other was spicy chicken. Both dishes were excellent. Portion sizes were large and we left feeling very full. I checked out the market while I was waiting for the food, and it seemed well stocked. The only thing of interest for me was the Asian candy, which they had a lot of, and I bought a bunch. Though the waiter was terse (or maybe just painfully shy?) to the point of rudeness, the service was efficient. Our food made it out in good time, and we never wanted for anything at the table. Outgoing servers are a dime a dozen, and for that reason, I enjoyed it. Korean Barbeque & Market is one of Logan's better restaurants for sure!

Very authentic food, it was delicious in a quite private area, highly recommended for an authentic Asian dinning experience

This restaurant has declined in quality and service. Not that the service was ever great, but the owner was efficient and the food was good. I've stopped coming here because of the cleanliness. Too much dust and broken down equipment in the market put me off for good.

The BEST place for Korean food in Logan. Yes, it's the only place for Korean in Logan, but that being said, its still good. The restaurant doesn't look like much inside or out, but they make some tasty grub and its some of the most exotic food you can get in Logan. My favorite: Jeyuk Bokkum - a spicy pork dish. The JapJae and Bibimbap are also good, but the bibimbap doesn't come with a stone bowl option. The side dishes are yummy as well, although not as varied as ones at other korean restaurants. Except for the Kalbi, the prices are pretty reasonable. All in all: not a bad place to get your kimchi on. After your meal, stop by the attached korean market and get some Choco Boy for dessert. Yum yum yum!

Like other commenters said the owner's attitude was really interesting . Even though i speak korean i just heard him saying a single word with no exaggeration. However what made husband and me surprise was the food. The food was way better than expected. We had spicy squid fried rice and kimchi soup. They are more delicious than any other restaurants in NJ korea town(my neighbor) have. I didn't search yelp this time and i feel lucky since i usually follow the yelp's review .

If you like servers who don't say much and good soup, then this is the place. Even if you prefer overly friendly or affectionate servers I still say you should try this place especially if you are looking for something different. This place has really good soups. The kind of soup you would expect to come from grandma's kitchen. My recommendation is the Kimchi soup, however I am sure there are other good items in the menu. The soup comes with several great condiments and it is very tasty. They also have a little market attached with a good selection of items. I plan to start getting my rice from there since it is considerably cheaper than the grocery store.

I have tried to support our only local asian market, but the owner is CRAZY. After being treated rude and being ignored several times, i thought I would try once again. Again the owner was rude, and would hardly talk to me. Even through i was i there to spend money. Finally with no help i said"You are so rude I will never come here again" He started screaming at me"SHUT UP!!" and literally chased me out of his store. It was a scary experience. The third time was the charm. From now on I'll get my Asian goods in Salt lake. I've only eaten there once and would never go back for the food. I just wish I had a place to buy Asian food in Logan.

They have nice food but the owner's attitude really gave us hard time there. And to be honest, they charge more than they served.

okay... I agree with the assessment of the charm of the owner. But I expected worse, so that was okay. I got the bimbop (don't know how to say, ,spell) Last time I had this (in Cinncinati) and the way I think it is supposed to be is in a hot pot that makes the rice all crunchy. Well, it was in an aluminum bowl. Not quite the same thing, but still tasty. I go to Logan about 6-8 times per year, and would probably get take out again. My colleague and I were the only ones in the restaurant and if I hadn't seen the grandma in the back, I'd be more suspicious that is was a front for an illegal operation.

The food was mediocre. I went with a friend who spent time in Korea and he was very disappointed. I ended up paying nearly $20 for dinner for one. I have no plans of going back

It is very nice to have this Asian market in Logan. I have successfully found great ingredients for making homemade sushi (nothing raw though). There aren't a lot of offerings, but it is certainly better than nothing and you can find items that you can't find in the large grocery stores. I've only tried the restaurant once and wasn't too impressed. They don't have the grills in the tables that you find at many Korean BBQs.

I heard a lot of hype about this place before I went, "OMG Joe, this guy is like the 'Soup Nazi' of Logan, except with Korean food! You HAVE to go!" So, I went... First of all, when I showed up there were about 5 Koreans watching a small TV in the dining room (no one else was there). After a minute or so, they decide to peel away from their programming to seat us. As for the owner/supposed 'soup nazi,' he was definitely rude like the soup nazi. However, the food didn't end up justifying being treated as though my business were an inconvenience. When I got my food, he plopped a plate stacked about 4 or 5 inches high of shredded meat. Now, I'm not a crazy meat eater so perhaps this review is a bit biased. The flavor was good enough to eat about an 8th of what I was given. The table was dirty and I couldn't help but feel like I was in a trashy diner that really needed a visit from a health inspector. Because the food was... okay, I'll give this place an extra star, but I won't be going back.
