Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Sometimes great memories are just worth keeping just that memories. This is an almost 100 year old restaurant and when I was a kid my Grandma use to take me there for blueberry pie and Iron port cherry soda drink and I just loved it. We wouldn't eat our pie and talk and talk. I was up in Logan the other day and I decided to go in the restaurant. I was the only one in there and there was four people working there and after I sat at the bar for about five minutes someone finally came up and spoke with me. I ordered my blueberry pie and my iron port cherry soda and about five minutes later the server brought it to me the pie was frozen solid and the soda was very bitter but the servers went on just talking to one another and laughing and giggling and being silly. I don't know what happened to the service over the years not only a bluebird but most places these kids now days do you not know how to work they do not know how to give customer service they do you know how to text on their iPhones they do know how to surf Facebook but they do not know how to have basic conversations with customers. it's very disappointing how great icons like this have change with the times like I said some memories are just better left that memories

Went to bluebird with my wife, Father-in-law, and uncle-in-law. My wife's grandma used to live in Logan and even worked at the bluebird back in the 1930s/1940s so it was a must stop at during our time in Utah. We sat down and was greeted by the waitress carrying fluffy buns. It was probably the best/most fluffy bread I've ever gotten at a restaurant. So good I asked for a second. On the menu they have classic diner food. For lunch I ordered the prime rib sandwich and it was very good. It came with a cream cheese spread that worked very well with the sandwich. I will admit I was skeptical of cream cheese with prime rib, but boy was I wrong about that. For the side I got potato salad, which was also delicious. They had many other sides to choose from as well. We couldn't pass up dessert so I got the mud pie. I was expecting a chocolate silk pie style pie, but it was minty ice cream/pie on an Oreo crust. It was sooooo good. Other desserts ordered were strawberry milkshake, regular strawberry ice cream and a rocky road sundae. Everything was eaten in its entirety, so that explains how yummy it was. The service we had was above average. Drinks were never empty and questions about the menu were answered very well. And I got a second fluffy bun, which is a plus :] Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and cool to go to a place that family worked at long before I was alive. Will hopefully be back sometime in the future when we are in the area. Signing off, Bretzlaf

Service was okay, not bad but not great. We came to eat dinner here after hearing about it from other people. The food was just okay. We came for dinner and the salad and soup was really good. I got a 6oz sirloin and sweet and sour chicken. Really interesting combo but since Asian people own it I figured it had to be good? Well it was just a weird combo. I need rice for the sweet and sour chicken. The sirloin steak was yummy to me though! The mashed potatoes had no flavor and the gravy tasted a lot of black pepper. My husband got the steak Oscar. With French fries. It also came with carrots. The steak was really tough and the mixtures of hollandaise and seafood was disgusting to him. He didn't even want to finish it, it was that gross. It's not worth coming back to try anything else on the menu to us.

Okay, this is classic old fashioned diner food. I had a salad, cup of soup. My friend had barbecue beef sandwich, with onion rings. He loved the real cream soda. The ambiance is dark wood, with a large soda fountain. Of note, the bathrooms are older, not ADA accessible. We enjoyed the food. No one under 60 in the place. The service was fast, courteous. However, I do wish waitresses did not have a nose ring. We had no chocolate, but it looked good.

I've only been here three times but I've never been disappointed. I like the variety of food that I can order and it is always been good to my tummy. Love the candy bar too. English toffee is the best.

Visited with my wife on a trip to Logan. The atmosphere is truly nostalgic and worth visiting for. The staff was absolutely delightful. On their suggestion I had the Ultimate Rib Sandwich which lived up to its grand name. We will certainly be back.

This is a classic restaurant here in Logan, the food is alright but I'm a fan of the ice cream soda bar and chocolates they sell right at the front of the store. The waitress got right to us, however she wasn't very charming, which is a huge selling point for me! I mean, c'mon, ten of us just walked in here and are willing to pay good money if you offer us suggestions and smile. She did make our sundaes very well, I will give her that. Almost all of us got the "Double Devil" which is a brownie, hot fudge, ice cream sundae topped with whipped cream, peanuts, and a cherry. It was very rich and I couldn't finish it, but boy did if satisfy my craving! The bathrooms were clean, and the food I did see coming out looked fine. Maybe one day I'll have dinner there, but for now I'm sticking with the treats and soda--both of which are a blast from the past. TIPS & TRICKS: * If you do choose to sit at the bar, there are convenient hangers on the side of the wall, allowing you to hang up your coat and/or purse if you do desire. It was especially convenient because you sit on bar stools, so there is really no place to hang your gear. * Alvey's Chocolates. Seriously, purchase some on your way out. * Park in the back, there are LOTS of spots. Do not park on the road, Main Street, you will almost never find a place. Again, park in the back and you can even go through their backdoor to get to the restaurant.

We stopped at the Bluebird Restaurant for dessert one evening and enjoyed ice cream sundaes at their historic soda fountain. I can't speak for the food but the ice cream was A-OK and I enjoyed the ambience of the old restaurant.

Food is just ok. Nothing special. Bluebird's appeal is the old timey soda fountain/ice cream shoppe and the chocolates you can buy at the counter. Come for dessert only!

A restaurant disguised as a cafe up front, this place has a nostalgic soda fountain/lunch counter serving sundaes and handmade malts. We went in expecting a diner and were pleasantly surprised. We had a variety of foods ranging from chicken fingers and burgers to steak sandwiches and my chicken cordon bleu. I was quite happy with my food, being a few steps above your average franchise-type table service restaurant. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the vegetables crisp and not too over-seasoned. My one minor issue was the potatoes. They were saltier than I prefer, but not terrible. The staff was friendly and service was good. We'll certainly stop in again, especially for their awesome desserts!

At this day in age when a restaurant makes a grilled cheese I would expect them to use real cheese and not Kraft Singles. Don't cheap out. I got that for my kids and for my wife and I we got steaks. Medium rare steaks and while they were pink on the inside there was zero seasoning, they were hard as hell and the knife they gave me could hardly cut through the steak. Sad experience, I will not be back. The only thing I liked was the bread. The chocolate cake was dry and pathetic. How this restaurant remains in business is beyond me.

THE ARBY'S OF SIT-DOWN RESTAURANTS. Did someone say "Asian fusion"? Well, apparently they did at some point because it's the only explanation for the Bluebird's bizarre and awfully mediocre version of fried chicken and mashed potato - which is basically just a depressing version of Panda Express alongside instant mashed potato, costing twice the price of your average faux-Chinese food. I got "English Fish & Chips" which certainly did not resemble anything from the motherland, and is quite frankly treason as far as I'm concerned. My fiancé got the Steak Oscar, and as a result, I have had to start brainstorming new names for my car, Oscar. It arrived cold, undercooked, and barely seasoned. The only redeeming quality of the Bluebird is the cherry Iron Ports, which are delicious. Their soda/ice cream bar has a nice charm. Just don't step past the threshold into the restaurant area, or you'll be left upset and crying into the kids Coldstone ice cream you'll drown your sorrows with after you leave. (Kids, because that's all you'll be able to afford after splurging on such mediocrity.

This is was the wort restaurant experience i have had in logan by far. The food was awful. It was just "add water" gravy and the mashed potatoes were defiantly just potato flakes. We ordered the blue bird chicken expecting fried american food, and instead we got a Chinese dish with a side of mashed potatoes. WHAT? For some place that was extremely talked up, it was such a let down. They could do some much more with the atmosphere and the food. Who ever is running the place is doing a horrible job and killing a long loved tradition by Aggies. The only redeeming thing about our dinner was the old time soda. That was amazing! But it was $2 for a glass with no refill. Never going back again. Would not recommend to anyone with taste buds.

For this kind of venue, the food is a total disappointment. The staff is friendly, the candy bar is great, but otherwise pretty mediocre.

Really friendly family style restaurant. Soda fountain is fun; ask for special soda flavors. Fried shrimp appetizer is very good - a restaurant special. Prices are very reasonable and wait is not long as long as you don't go on the holidays.

  • Karen C.

The food here was excellent. I had the English style Fish & Chips, which was delicious. The service was also excellent & the atmosphere, with a soda fountain & candy counter was fun. I'd definitely come again!

  • Ken C.

Great food at a reasonable price. the prime rib and salmon we had would have easily been charged at double the price in some other places. Great value. The prime rib wasn't top grade but the salmon was top notch. Fun place. The only downside was the service was VERY slow. Need to work with the staff on that.

  • Heston Y.

The food took a few minutes longer than expected. It was worth the wait. The food was very flavorful. Everything tastes homemade. I would recommend this place.

Been here twice in the last year and was disappointed both times. My service is less than acceptable, unfriendly and cold. The meal is good and for a decent price, but last time they messed up the way they cooked my steak and my husbands as well. We had different cuts, but had to switch to even slightly enjoy our meal. I could definitely go somewhere else to get better food and kinder service. I sadly won't be returning to this restaurant. Great prices though.

Get the bluebird chicken and an ironport. Just do it.

  • Jason P.

The service is stellar. The food is only average but is generally priced ok. One time I took my 2 nieces here when Center Street had issues with their credit card machine. The staff was super nice to the girls and made them very happy. I definately will return often.

Bluebird has been in existence on Main Street in Logan for almost 100 years! I was suspicious at the outdated decor, but I must admit, the food was definitely up to today's standards. My co-worker and I enjoyed our meals and admired the original soda fountain at the front of the restaurant. They also sell handmade chocolate, which we couldn't resist. We bought some for our road trip and loved every bite. Dark chocolate sea salt caramels, chocolate covered honeycombs, and anything you could ever want. What a great find!

  • Trent F.

Don't even bother with this place. I went here with some family recently and was more than unimpressed. I ordered the salmon and asked for it to be cooked medium. It came out well done, dry and flavorless. The fries were slightly soggy and had no seasoning at all. I think the only good thing I could find about the meal is that the steak my fellow diner ordered was cooked properly. If you find salt and pepper to be too exotic then this place is for you.

I mean, seriously, there just isn't a whole lot of options in LOGAN. Especially for a obsessive label reading, organic food freak such as myself.... But, when I lived here many, MANY moons ago, I used to pass by The Bluebird on the daily, so this last week while visiting the fam, my man and I popped in. We sat at the huge bar that spans the front of the place. It's cute, cozy, and really old! A Logan staple. The server we had was awesome. So on top of it! Constantly checking up on us with a big sweet smile on her face. Our coffee intake would have been entirely too much if we let her fill it as often as she came by. I had the sweet and sour chicken (like many places in the wild west the portion was enough for 2 meals), my darlin' went for a BLT (he seemed more then happy with it). Good stuff considering the area. It's a mild tragedy that we left without getting anything from their sweet shop, but something tells me we'll be back ..Yea. No reason at all not to pop in if you are in, um, "Downtown Logan".

  • Maria A.

Absolutely loved the place. Took the whole famile and sat up at the counter. (five of us). The waitress was helpful and great with the kids. The kids meals were a good size. I myself just had a dinner salad that wasn't too bad. The sundaes afterwards were great and a good size for the price.

Every time I go here I'm always surprised at how cheap it is. For the location, and the original feel, I almost am always expecting my bill to be more than it is. Food is decent for the price. It's not amazing, but is ok. Service is standard. Nothing extraordinary. I'd go back for an average meal in a unique building with character.

Cute as can be...good ice cream...other food not that great. Check it out for the old time soda fountain style.

My wife and I went to the Bluebird the other night, and the food was only just so-so. The decor, the atmosphere, the waitstaff were all great. But, the food left something to be desired - your typical diner type food - not especially flavorful. I will say, though, that the chicken noodle soup and their hot wings appetizer were exceptional. So, I guess, in the future, anytime my wife and I are in the mood for chicken noodle soup and hot wings, we know where to go.

The Bluebird is a historical treasure in Logan. They have an old fashioned ice-cream counter that is the most beautiful one I've even seen. They also have a candy counter that must be 100 years old (not the candy). So that's the good part. The restaurant is below average. The food is probably all pulled from a freezer and has no creativity or real quality. This place has such potential, so this is a real shame. Take the kids for ice-cream or candy, but skip the restaurant.

The Bluebird has the potential to be a good restaurant. Good location, well dressed and friendly staff, nice ambiance when you walk in. That's where the good ends. We were brought back to a drab room to sit by ourselves at a table that looked like the one I had in my college dorm. Far away from any of the entry decor and anyone else in the restaurant we ate the "recommended" menu items and experienced what I would expect at a local army barracks. Horrible mashed potatoes, fries, chicken, shrimp, etc. The vegetable medley was 80% cauliflower and imitation crab meat was a selling point on their menu. The mint toothpicks were the best things we had as we left with our plates mostly full. Our last bad experience was 7 years ago. We won't be giving Bluebird another chance for another decade. -- at least.

It was just okay. Friendly people. I heard rave reviews about the chicken cordon blue soup. Not much flavor. Canned soup from Progresso is much better. The veggies seemed like prepackaged frozen broccoli, carrots, cauliflower. My trout was good. The chocolate covered honey comb I bought for later was great.

Haven't been to the Bluebird in years. Unfortunately, it's under new ownership and the food is awful. Pulled pork sandwich was made with oval slices of processed pork in a gloppy sauce (nothing was "pulled"). Monte Cristo sandwich tasted burned. It's supposed to be dipped in beaten egg and fried like French toast, but they forgot the egg and just put it on an oiled grill. Even the cheap ham and processed cheese inside was better than the bread. Ambience and service were lovely though. The Bluebird is a historic business in downtown Logan. The townspeople and other businesses should insist the new owners serve at least edible food. This place gives downtown a bad name and drives diners to chain restaurants.

Fun place to stop in and look around. The food was okay. The candy was good. The staff was really pleasant and appreciative of the patronage.

  • Emily K.

Food: Good, but nothing spectacular. Portion sizes were okay, but not huge. Price: VERY cheap. Atmosphere: Pretty nice. In an old historic building downtown. Good service. Maybe a little tricky to park, as it is right on Main street with no nearby lot. Overall: A fine restaurant, but I'd probably stick with Angies or something for that diner-style meal.

  • Austin S.

I know this place gets a lot of mixed reviews, but I have to say it's my second favorite restaurant in Logan (after Le Nonne). My review might be biased in large part because I'm a sucker for the old school soda fountain look and I always order the same thing. If you go here, get the Bluebird Chicken w/ English Chips...awesome. Bluebird is a Logan landmark. If you had to pick one place to eat in Logan (and if money isn't a concern), I'd choose Le Nonne. If you're in Logan for more than one meal (or you don't want to or can't afford to pay $20+ a plate), hit up Bluebird. *amendment: be sure to get some sort of chocolate or candy on your way out.

When you enter this restaurant you feel like you've stepped into the past! There is an old time soda fountain, counter, and wood paneling. It's been in business since 1914, so I guess that says it all. We stopped here after a concert at the Eccles Theater, and had a sundae and root beer float. Even though the restaurant was about to close for the night they were happy to serve us. We had lunch here the next day and shared a patty melt which was very good. The prices are great and the ice cream treats are wonderful!

  • Ken J.

Whatta great place to dine, with such a antique'ish feel. The place is wonderful which sits well with the fine array of dishes. If you have a family, this place is great. Someone could order Mac n' Cheese, next could be Chinese, next could be salmon, next could Steak, next could be a sandwich... again, a wide array. For those with a sugar tooth, the chocolates are great, and the old fashion soda bar is a nice touch. From shorts and t-shirts, to elderly couples dressed like they are going to a Broadway show, this place serves all and serves practically anything. Funny thing is, the bathroom feels like you are in a broom closet. Have fun

Everytime I drive through Logan I have stopped at the Bluebird, the food is more than I can eat and at a reasonable price, i should have learned by now to share a meal with my wife, but with such a wide menu we can't seem to agree on the meal we should share. If your looking for some good home style cooking and if need a ice cream bar this is a wonderful option for someone traveling through

Love this place!!! You can order a half plate too so you don't over stuff yourself! Try the sweet n sour chicken with mashed potatoes, it is spectacular!!! I have been all around the world and still never found a better sweet n sour chicken entre. Man how I wish I could get some now! I need my own personal bluebird next door. :)

  • Barrett H.

So I got a vegetable soup which had broccoli and carrots and some type of white creamy broth. When the pasta primavera I ordered came, it was basically the soup poured over pasta. I wish I could have received a warning from the waitresses which looked like an uninterested college students. My friend's dish was teriyaki chicken with fries and a bowl of steamed vegetables, using exactly the same cut vegetables as found in my soup and pasta. I admit, I did enjoy the roll I received. Yum. I would not return. Prices are low but a place like this with a great location and history can give more justice to this sweet little town.

Great old fashion ice cream shop and diner. Cannot beat the ice-cream and candy! Food is typical diner food but the prices are very reasonable and good sized portions. Definitely a place to check out if you are visiting the area.

  • Kurt N.

Nice little Cache Valley restaurant. Most of the dishes are very good, and for the price you can't beat it. Bluebird chicken is a personal fave. The ability to place a half order is awesome if your not one for leftovers, plus it makes for a cheap meal. The atmosphere is what keeps me going back.

If you grew up in Logan and have fond memories of the soda and candy counter this place would be awesome!! I didn't. I don't. And it isn't. The restaurant was in need of a good cleaning and there was enough dirt in the window blinds to start some square-foot gardening. The restaurant is old but a good bucket and rag goes a long way to polishin' up antiques. The food was a solid "C." Nothing bad but nothing to write home about. I ordered the Monterrey Chicken and was really unimpressed. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly but the toppings left a lot to be desired. The hollandaise sauce was flavorless (maybe I should have used some dirt from the blinds to cheer it up) and the imitation crab was, well, imitation crab. There were a couple of shrimp on there too that had come straight from the ice box to the top of my chicken. A few minutes in a saute pan may have helped. Uncooked veggies and unremarkable baker rounded out the plate. A straw poll around the table didn't find anyone that had a "last-meal worthy" dish. There were a few redeeming factors. Our waitress (stupid me for not writing down her name) was fantastic. Very pleasant, attentive, and genuinely nice. The dinner rolls were very good also. I ended up leaving most of my chicken and ate rolls for dinner instead. Now that I've been there, I can't see a great reason to drive back.

I had heard that food at Bluebird wasn't very good so I was skeptical. However, it was a lot better than I expected! Rolls and salads were good. I ordered the chicken stir-fry and it was ok, the Chicken Cordon Bleu was really good tho. The peanut butter pie was weird.. It was like ice cream but not. It was not good. Atmosphere was really nice. Has a good feel to it! This wouldn't be my first choice of place to eat in Logan, but I would go there again if I had to.

I've grown up in Ogden but my family has always had a tradition of spending a night or two at the Best Western a few blocks north of the Bluebird, and making an evening of going to dinner at this establishment. I would say the food is 3.5-4 stars or maybe a B grade. It's not GREAT, but it's still pretty good. The reason for the 5 star rating, is because the atmosphere is awesome and second to none. You will not find another restaurant like the Bluebird in Utah. It's a very old building, so it sometimes seems a little dark and dingy. But you have the dining areas in the back, and the soda fountain and candy counter up front. Their flavored old fashioned sodas are absolutely incredible, their chocolate is really good, and their rolls are AMAZING. If you want to enjoy the atmosphere as much as a decent meal, the Bluebird is a great option. I know there's a little nostalgia that probably makes my review a little biased, but I took my wife up there 4 years ago when we got married and she'd never been, and now she wants to go everytime we're in Cache Valley. So there must be more to it than just my childhood memories.

One word: Rolls! (They are absolutely delicious) Can't go wrong with the Bluebird Chicken ... bight size pieces with sesame seeds and a great sauce. Vegetables were okay ...

  • Alex G.

The candy and the soda fountain are the reasons your are here. Remember this. While the food is an average three stars, the vintage soda fountain and candy shop are a full flying five star high five to your tastebuds. Open since 1914, this very well may be Utah's oldest soda fountain, and certainly one of the only ones left standing. Take your time browsing their candy counter, and maybe stop in for lunch; but don't miss their chocolate and retro fountain.

First of all, I was concerned about the reviews regarding this restaurant, not great, but tried it anyway on a trip to take my son to visit Utah State University. I thought it was great! It was established in 1919, originally a candy store, which intrigued me, and the quaintness of the restaurant (at least the old original section) met my expectations. The waitress was friendly and nice. The food was delicious and you can't beat the price!! Three of us ate big meals for under $12.00 each. The entrees start with a fresh roll and your choice soup or salad. The soup was homemade and the salad very fresh. The entrees were decent portions. I typically find when a restaurant serves you larger portions, the quantity is to mask the quality of the food. Not in this case. Healthy portion and tasty food! I would not go out of my way to eat at the Bluebird but next time travelling through, I would stop at the Bluebird again. Oh and ....Utah State is a beautiful school/campus!!

This place is awesome. Great food. I had the Monterrey Chicken, grilled veggies, and mashed potatoes. My parents had salmon and trout and they both loved them. Great service. I love the historic downtown. We went on a weeknight so it wasn't very busy. I would definitely go back.

Probably my Logan relatives will kill me for saying this, but I just don't get the hype around Bluebird. To be fair, I've never had the candy or anything from the soda fountain, which does look cool. I know it's a Logan institution, and I appreciate the history it has, but the food is never very good! I've been here for a dinner out with family several years ago and for two luncheons following weddings (most recently this past Friday) and while I always go in hoping to enjoy my meal, I am always disappointed. For this last luncheon I attended, we were served salad, mashed potatoes/gravy, sweet and sour chicken, and rolls. The salad was standard, the potatoes/gravy was bland, the chicken was a little odd and very chewy, and the roll was okay. We were also served apple pie with whipped cream, which my new brother-in-law insisted on. Costco apple pie is way better, and I don't like that either. Bluebird, I want to like you. I really, really do. Please improve so I will actually pay money to eat here.

I get to Logan about 2-3 times a year for business. I just tried the Bluebird for dinner tonight, and really had a delightful meal. I sat on a stool at the old soda fountain bar. I got a filet mignon, with salad, mashed potatoes, veggies, and a roll for $12.99. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that the veggies were of the frozen bag variety like you'd get at Safeway. Everything else was really great....but I guess they have to make that concession to offer the low price. I was surprised at how good the cut of meat was. It wasn't Morton's or Del Frisco's, but it was as good as or better than any you'd cook up at home (ok you might be a gourmet cook...better than what I would cook up at home ;) ). And it was wrapped in baconnnn! I very rarely get dessert, but I got it tonight because I was sitting at a 90+ year old ice cream and soda fountain! I got a classic, hand-dipped hot fudge sundae with peanuts, whipped cream, and a cherry on top. Amazing! This place has a very nostalgic feel to it, and was a delight from start to finish. The service was also top notch. It was mostly high-school & college age servers, and they were pleasant, friendly, and attentive. P.S. There's no alcohol served.

We want to like the bluebird and try it from time to time. Probably because it's a fun building and location. The food is pretty bland. If you like starchy meat and potatoes food with nothing fancy, this is your place. Salads are boring iceburg lettuce mostly. Veggie sides are defrosted over cooked with no flavoring.

Me and wife decided it was time to break out of the "only eating at restaurants found in Davis County" tradition. So, we decided to try the Bluebird based on a couple of our friends reviews, who like it. Now, we did go in pretty late so I am not sure if this has to do with the atmosphere, but it was too quite and felt kind of strange sitting there with only one other table full in the restaurant. Now, their wait staff was decent, but the food we had probably faired under what I could have made at home. Therefore, I will not be eating there again.

I love Bluebird! The owners are some of the nicest and kindest people you could ever meet. They always go out of their way to make sure the community is taken care of, I have seen this first hand. Food is very good, comfort style food with big rooms for meetings and family gatherings. If you haven't been there before you must go try it!

Love the Bluebird. Best comfort food and such a great old setting. It's the place the Jane and Michael Stern of Splendid Table (NPR) and Road Food would go. I had the lunch special- country fried sirloin steak. Total diner food- kind of thick hamburger with home made mashed potatoes and gravy (on the side). Came with salad which I had with French dressing- takes me back to my childhood- ketchup, vinegar, sugar. Classic stuff. The homemade rolls they bring you when you sit down require a moment- they are what rolls should taste like. I love the fact that the corn and beans and carrots were frozen- I'd expect nothing less from a place like this. Oh, and I got a side of cranberries....the canned, jellied kind. Again, perfect for the place and space. My friend got the roast turkey dinner... Don't go here if you're looking for haute cuisine, go here if you want old fashioned diner food. I got haystacks with milk chocolate for my kids on the way out. I wish I would have had room for dessert. Next time.

We stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday when there was a wedding reception going on so it was packed but the service was still good. The décor was nice as it was mostly the from the original soda fountain and candy shop. The Reuben and Avocado Croissant were both mediocre at best and what they call "English chips" only share the similarity with the real deal that they are made with potato (yes I've been to England numerous times). I think it's one of those places you only need to go to once .. if that.

We were craving barbecue a year ago, before Smokin' Blues and Texas Roadhouse had opened, and couldn't come up with a good place to get BBQ. We started calling restaurants, and after a few, the Bluebird said they actually had a BBQ special for that evening. Excited, we drove right over. We both ordered the BBQ pork sandwich. What do you think of when you think of that? Pulled pork, right? With a rich, brown, smoky, sweet sauce? On a bun? Or maybe even sliced pork. That would have been okay too. Instead, we got rubbery pork "chips." Little, roundish, flattish pieces of pork that were overcooked. It might have been forgivable, but there was the sauce. The sauce was plain tomato sauce, flavored with a little vinegar, salt, and pepper. That. Was. It. So very, very NOT barbecue sauce. The bun, on top of it all, was cheaper than cheap. Why am I writing about a dining experience a full year ago? Because I haven't been back, and I won't be going back. Love the ambience, great service, and utter garbage for food. Bummer.

This place is a great Logan novelty, a fun date, and an adventure. The food was very satisfying, the soda fountain was fun, and the hand made candy is magnificent. One of my favorites.

Yes, the candy and soda machine are good, but that's really all that's particularly stellar about this place. The food was nothing to rave about, and I haven't been back since because of it. The soup was barely warm and my entree was just ok, and my family wasn't impressed with what they ordered as well. Not my first choice, or even my second.

Do not order a soda at the counter on a weekend. You will be forced to stand in line for half an hour waiting on everyone in the restaurant to pick out chocolates before you can pay. Instead order it to go, by the time you are through the line you'll be finished
