This is Taco Bell. I expect greasy food with tons of crazy flavors. The starburst mixer tasted like a pink starburst, it was incredible! My Beef meximelt that I've ordered since the nineties also had great flavor but here's the problem... the moist tortilla stuck to the wrapper (which tells me it was maybe microwaved?) which meant it was hot and steamy but also a pile of dripping gooh because I couldn't detach the tortilla from the wrapper... I still ate it, like a messy champion, and I got some wrapper in my mouth that I chewed up and had to spit out because I am not that much of a champion... but it was tasty. Why give such a terrible seeming experience three stars? One, the Layton Taco Bell has a two star average rating and I feel like letting them know it was a solid three star job, because it's taco bell! I paid $7.06 for four things... the other three things were great so... three stars! Cinnamon crustos, bean and rice burrito, beef meximelt and starburst mixer. Seriously though, the health department and FDA is checking up on this place right? If so, keep up the delicious work Taco Bell!! Who am I kidding, it was the only thing on the corner on my way to a thing and I needed something fast and quick... they weren't even that quick, the people in front of me took forever... Taco Bell could use one of those pull up here stalls that they use at other fast food places for the orders that might take awhile. But I digress.... Three stars is A-Ok.

I don't know why I keep coming back - every time I'm disappointed. Today I'm going thru the drive through and I've been locked in here for 15 minutes already. And I know they're going to get my order wrong. Last time

This is far and away the absolutely worst Taco Bell on Utah. The customer service is awful, the food is usually cold AND stale, and they have yet to give me the food that I actually ordered. The drive thru is extremely slow as well. Save yourself twenty minutes and just drive five minutes north to the Clearfield location. It is much better.

I enjoy tacos. And they have tacos. Thus, I enjoy Taco Bell. Really though, I always tend to get the good menu items. Try the dollar menu's Frito Burrito or the Crunch Wrap Supreme. Top it off with the hot/mild sauce, complete with clever sayings on the wrappers--like, "You're my soulmate" or "Marry me". Basically if you want to flirt with someone without actually having to talk, just slip them subliminal messages using the sauce packets. The Mountain Dew drinks are on point too. This Taco Bell didn't rate high on the cleanliness scale; however, the soda fountain was sticky and the tables could've been wiped down. It was better to go inside though, we got our food quickly. Compared to the cars in the drive through, there were so many people sitting in their cars, I'm surprised the employees weren't running around frantically, trying to get all of the orders out. TIPS & TRICKS: * Try the Crisp Apple Empanada to top off your meal, they nailed this dessert here. I haven't had one this good for a while (and remember, I come here often). * If you get a date from the hot sauce love notes, let me know how it goes.

Love taco bell, super disappointed with this location. The staff is always kind of rude and they ALWAYS screw up my order after I repeat it 10 times for them. (Beefy 5 layer burrito, hold the ground beef... too complex?) I live mere blocks from this establishment, and I will gladly drive any number of miles to a different one for a better experience.

    (2)
  • Lee L.

LAYTON, UT: This Taco Bell is similar to every other. The food is pretty gross, but their Mountain Dew innovations are second to none: they have got the blender running 24/7. I like that they are always open, even though it doesn't really taste good and is unhealthy. Also, their prices for the combo meals (for what you get) are ridiculous. $9 combo meals from Taco Bell? Crazy; stick with the value menu.

Food was standard taco bell. However, when we ordered we were not expecting to have to wait 15 minutes for our food! The guy who took our order didn't mention to me that they ran out of eggs so that they had to cook them. What a joke! We had at least 5 cars behind us waiting too and we only ordered 4 items. They should have told us that this "fast food" would have been far from fast.

This place is garbage. Everytime I order a burrito it is wrapped terrible. They get more ingredients on the outside of the burrito than in it. Half the time they're out if beef or chicken. Might as well drive to 193 and go to that Taco Bell where they get it right

I AM IN LOVE! Taco Bell is my go to place for my most favorite foods on earth, they put this oily, gritty brown substance in my Cheesy Gordita Crunch wrap-a-dilla mix that is amazing, I am told it might be meat. I'm not sure, BUT IT'S AMAZING. My favorite food by far is the 7 ingredient burrito. each bite is a surprise! Which flavor will I get this time? sour cream? wilted lettuce? rice/bean sludge? I don't know, but I'm pumped! Lastly, they've finally taken my advice and expanded their palette of Mtn Dews. So I can finally have my choice of pairings with steak like filling or Fish Like Filling. I've always wondered what Sangria and Mountain Dew would taste like together, and now! the thick, slime like texture of the soda only helps to keep the flavors alive in my mouth! lastly, these reduced hours have really helped me get to sleep. knowing I can only get "fourth meal" if it's right after dinner has really added a new level to my dinng experience.

THE SLOWEST TACO BELL ON EARTH!!!! This isn't a one time occurrence, EVERY single time we come to this one they take FOREVER. Whatever their excuse is, is a crock, every other Taco Bell can overcome it. I'm thinking management is their problem. Not only are the seriously slow but they are ALWAYS out of things. Management doesn't seem to know how to inventory and stock things. Again, every other TB can. If you watch their employees they are super slow making food, grass grows faster than they can make food. Maybe it is because they are too busy listening to their music on their earbuds while they make food, then paying attention to making the food. Again, a problem with management, who lets their employees listen to music instead of doing their job properly!

Terrible service. For a fast food restaurant it took over 20 min. To get my two 5 layer burritos and a drink. I have never seen a line out the door at a Taco Bell. Never again.

You will find Atlantis, El Dorado, and the seven dragon balls before you find a Taco Bell with worse service. Whether it's through the drive through or the restaurant, you have to wait a minimum of five minutes per order. And that's if it's a very small order, so if you go during lunch time, expect to be late. I went through the drive through today and when I got to the window, three employees (including either a supervisor or a manager) were just standing there chatting, and this was while there was a long line behind me. There are just lazy workers that don't care about customers here. If they did, they'd change something after all of these bad reviews. Don't go here.

So tonight my family an I went into taco bell and ordered. As I sat in the lobby waiting for my food, I watched the cashier kyle take three orders, wash a few tables and then start making food. All without washing his hands or putting gloves before preparing my food. So when they called my name I not so quietly asked that they remake my food and why. The three orders behind me asked for the same request.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize.
