Kim Long Vietnamese Cuisine Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Kim Long isn't bad but it's not great either. I had the vermicelli with egg rolls and pork. It was served on a really large plate which made the portions look small but, actually, the serving size was adequate. The two egg rolls were tasty while the grilled pork was not very appetizing. The pork was not freshly grilled and was like jerky or gyro meat. Since this is the only Vietnamese restaurant i know of north of the salt lake metro area, I will probably be back; perhaps to try the Pho on my next visit. As an update, I just had the pho special which was quite good. I'd up my rating by a half star to 3 1/2.

I'm visiting all month long from California. Coming from such a cultural and diverse state I was very worried I wouldn't get my weekly dose of Pho. Luckily, this place is exist. I've tried a few other spots, but this is the best by far. A little on the pricier side and smaller portions than what I'm use too, but it'll do.

My family and I have been eating at Kim Long's for years. The family who owns the restaurant are friendly, and the service is always impeccable. Go for the pho.

My wife and I are pho addicts, tried various pho joints when we are around Chicago land or out traveling. After having a good time sightseeing at Antelope Island State Park, yelp search Kim Long is the closest pho joint in Layton. It was a pleasant surprise. The Kim Long House Special got A on my report card: tasty soup base, generous meat portion consists of half dozen meat varieties. Have not had a such good pho experience lately. Try it out and award yourself a good treat!

This place defines average except for the portions which are smaller than average. It's the best of Layton for what that's worth.

Compared to metropolitan Salt Lake restaurants like Oh Mai, Kim Long barely holds a candle but somewhat excites the tastebuds. Unlike San Fran or New York where there is a pho shop on every corner, Salt Lake's oriental array of cuisine is very limited to dinky Chinese-American shops serving massive heaps of unauthentic dishes such as but not limited to General Tso's (named after an infamous General), Cashew Chicken, Orange Chicken and Sesame. Vietnamese is a breath of fresh air. We ordered Pho, 'Lo Mein', Their Vietnamese Grilled Chicken & Summer Rolls. Their Pho was decent with piles of vegetables to choose from. The vegetables were plentiful, and the meats were of pretty good quality. The pho would have been a little bit better with more noodles but overall tasty. The Lo Mein was dripping with a sweet, corn starchy sauce that clung to the noodles vegetables and chicken. What an ingenious idea, yet sometimes I choked because of the clinginess of the noodles to the vegetables. The chicken was cooked very well, surprising for a Vietnamese restaurant. The summer rolls were good, and fresh but it is very hard to mess summer rolls up. The chicken was sweet and very well cooked (kudos to you) . An overall very positive experience. The service was very accommodating. We will be back.

On a whim we decided to get some Pho late on a Friday night. We were delighted that there was no crowd and we were seated immediately. The staff was friendly and professional. Our pho soup was flavorful and tender. However the bean sprouts, jalapeños and limes they brought out looked like they had been sitting on the plate for two days. They are just a little dried out, we told ourselves, we can throw them in our boiling soup and it will be fine. But when it came time, we couldn't bring ourselves to eat them. The sprouts were literally brown. It was revolting. The Thai basil on top was bright and fresh so we did use that. Today we feel kind of sick. Was it the sprouts contaminating the basil? I don't know. But why would you serve vegetables that looked like that? Maybe they thought we didn't know any better. It is weird because everything else was so delicious. WHY.

Sadly not the best Vietnamese for vegetarians, I've eaten here twice. The first time I had the bun (vermicelli noodle salad) and the today I ordered the veggie pho. Both times I wished for more flavor. The veggie pho broth was like hot water. I use a recipe at home with star anise and other flavors that give it the robustness akin to traditional beef broth. Still on the search for good vegetarian Vietnamese in my area.

I'm picky about pho and the pho here definitely passed the test! It was great. We also tried the fried wontons which were delicious. Good service and good food.

This is now my favorite pho restaurant! I consider myself a pho-natic, so I was impressed with this place considering we're in Utah. Tried this place out yesterday, a Friday close to 7pm and a decent patronage was already there. We were greeted by a nice woman and seated by a younger guy. Both were very attentive to us. It took my bf awhile to decide what he wanted, but we ordered summer rolls, the pho special, and the chicken/egg roll bun. Omg sooooo delish! The summer rolls: standard rice paper with rice noodles, lettuce, pork, and shrimp (oops maybe I'm missing some ingredients) with a peanut sauce. I love the mix of peanut sauce and Sriracha! Fresh ingredients! $4.50 for 2 rolls. Kim long pho special: aghhhhh the highlight of the meal! It has all my favorites, including meatball, fatty steak, flank steak, tripe, and tendon. Omg I love tendon, so best believe I ordered a side order of it for my pho. The broth has a rich meatiness to it, but you can definitely taste the star anise and cinnamon notes. Such a multidimensional broth. You can't go wrong with this!!!! There was so much in the bowl! I couldn't even finish all of it! Standard bean sprouts, jalapeño, and Thai basil on the side. $8.15 for pho plus $2 for side tendon. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Bun: my bf ordered this and he really liked it. Again, fresh ingredients, hot egg rolls, and charbroiled chicken. What's not to love? He wasn't a huge fan of the fish sauce dressing that was on the side, so he opted for Sriracha instead. Whatever floats your boat, man. $8.15 for this delish dish. Service: outstanding!!! Our waiter was so nice and refilled our waters about every 7 minutes. Courteous guy! Overall, this place is amazingggg! If you're a pho junkie, you'll love this place. Give them a try! They also have bubble drinks in a wide variety of flavors. Can you say YASSSSSSSS?!

I'm extremely disappointed in this place. My husband & I just moved here from out of town and we were hoping to find a Vietnamese restaurant that we would enjoy. For starter they have server working there who don't have a clue about the menu, not only that they don't even know Vietnamese. Secondly, I order the egg rolls, and from the picture it doesn't have peanuts. When my egg rolls came out they were covered in peanuts, which is a huge deal for me because I'm allergic. So I sent those back, the second time they brought out the eggs rolls the meat inside was still raw, so I sent it back again, hoping for new egg rolls. Sadly they disappointed me again. They brought me out the eggs rolls that my husband already took a bite out of, and all they did was deep fried the raw one to make it " better" overall our main food hasn't even came out yet and my husband and I want to walk out. We forrsure are never coming back!

Disclaimer: I do not love Asian food in general. I came here with my husband because he loves pho, and it irritates him that I do not. I finally gave up and agreed to eat here. Glad I did. Like I said, I do not like Asian food and particularly dislike pho, so I ordered the shrimp fried rice, and wow! Seriously the best fried rice I have ever had. This is a great compromise restaurant with my honey, since I crave the fried rice and he can get his pho fix.We have always had friendly, quick service.

I went here for the first time and I ordered a large bowl of Pho (P1) and a Taro boba drink. It's good, but it's not the best. The drink was my favorite. The restaurant is clean and it had a nice vibe. I like that it has takeout because I'd like to go back to try the other dishes. The waitress was quick about getting our food out. Overall, it's better than any other pho places around the area.

Best PHo in Utah. Order P8. Service is great too! They provide optional sides to add, such as fresh basil, jalapeños, bean sprouts, and lime. You can also add soy sauce and dress it with an assortment of sauces. I prefer it spicy! To cool things down order a flavored Boba beverage of your choice. Love it

I love their wraps and egg rolls. The Pho is addictive and the owner is always there to greet you.

Love this place. The food is fresh and very flavorful. I had the pho this time and the basil was fresh and delicious. I wish they still sold beer but I had a pot of green tea that was the right temperature and strong. The service was also outstanding. This is an oasis in the middle of a group of very bad chain restaurants.

In the world of Vietnamese food, I think that this place is OK. I came in with family and friends and was quickly seated for a group of 7. No extra gratuity was added to the bill due to the size of the party, props there. We ordered a variety of Pho, Bun, apps, rice dishes, and bubble drinks. I asked for the beef to be served on the side so I can add it into my broth, and the request was granted. I also asked for a scoop of rice and a fried egg for the littlest one, however that was not served until 10 minutes after everyone else's food arrived. The Pho broth was good, a little on the clove'y side for me. They could have added some more noodles to the bowl. The fried egg rolls tasted like fried chicken, I would pass on that. In the end, it was a little expensive compared to what I have experienced in the greater SLC area. I would return to Saigon Noodle if I wanted pho. What did I learn today? The pearl drinks are spendy here!

The foods has always been tasty, although I haven't tried (or can compare to) other Vietnamese restaurants. The price is a little much for the portions. This is also a place to get boba but it's bit pricey for that as well.

Pho....I used to like going to Kim Long's untill I found out a few things about their business practices. I no longer will eat here although the food is good but there is a closer place to have Pho that's in Roy.

Poor beer selection, really poor. The food is great with no surprises with the check, except whatever candy it comes with!! Would absolutely recommend! Plus it's in LAYTON, no need to travel far on a Monday night to get some tasty goodness. Pho is the best ramen noodles you will experience. Don't be scared to get the tripe and flank.

I'm a Vietnamese food newbie so maybe this is biased. But the food was wonderful! Since neither my husband or I have ever tried Vietnamese food, we asked our server (I think it was one of the owners) what she recommended for us uneducated beginners. She recommended the pho with beef. It came with a mountain of bean sprouts, fresh basil, jalapenos and lime wedges on the side. I freaking love bean sprouts so I'm glad it was such a huge portion. What a surprising delight pho is! Noodles and broth and meat. The broth was light, flavorful, not salty or greasy. I really liked it. she also recommended the spring rolls, the Kim Long special plate and the boba drink. She probably got us for more then we would have spent but I'm not complaining. The spring rolls were great. They tasted so FRESH. Chock full of yummy things. Pork, shrimp, noodles, fresh basil, sprouts. The accompanying peanut sauce was both sweet and savory. It was like frolicking in a meadow and drinking spring water straight from the source. Yes, that fresh. Loved them. The Kim Long special had 3 types of meat and shrimp. Beef, chicken and pork. Some were chargrilled. The shrimp was sooooooo good. There were only 3 though. :'( but we enjoyed them, giggled over them because we have dirty minds and are easily amused. They were gone quickly. The other meats were just as tasty. I don't know what the clear brothy sauce was that she gave us to pour over the dish but sweet angels in heaven that made the dish as addictive as crack. And more bean sprouts. Thank you thank you thank you. Also had more noodles. Along with some crispy egg rolls. They were probably the most fattening part but seriously yummy. She made the boba drink with strawberry and peach mixed together. Mmmmmm. I love frozen drinks. It was awesome. I enjoyed the chewy black tapioca pearls. I've seen these drinks around before but never tried them. I will have to get more from now on. Mmm. GoodPlace. Good food. Good service. We left feeling full but not greased up. Yay!

For the record, the Kim Long roll--featuring grilled lemongrass beef and an outstanding peanut sauce--is more than just a spring roll. It owns summer, autumn, winter, and the monsoon season.

It was pleasantly surprised to find a Vietnamese restaurant near our hotel. Pho was great. Broth is clear and tastes just right for me. Meat was tender and tasty. Smoothy is great. Skim on basil for each bowl of pho.

Kim Long is a regular destination for me. I would give it 3.5 stars overall, but I'll bump it up to four stars for the pho -- it's probably the best pho I have tried. Of the other things I've tried on the menu, the fried rice stood out for having a nice wok char flavor and fresh vegetables, making it far more interesting than the glop that passes for fried rice at most places. This is not an upscale restaurant, but it's great go-to for reasonably priced, healthy and hearty meal. Recommended.

Ok. I'm an out of towner. I *love* pho and if you look at my reviews you'll see that 80% of my reviews for Pho (I think this might be place 40 or 50) are either 3 or 4 stars. Places that won't give me my meat on the side get lower than that, and AMAZING places (like ToChao in Honolulu) get 5 stars. I'm going to model this review along the comments that I saw for this place and agree with some, and refute others. I'm not Vietnamese either, I just love the food, so take that to mean whatever you choose. So I was in the area and I felt like some pho. I looked at all the reviews and almost didn't come here. The reviews are so sorted, you have some people who are claiming a lot of experience and then comparing this to places in LA's Little Saigon, or other places with large Vietnamese communities. If that's the level of food that you want, you probably shouldn't come here, and you should go back to where you get that. I ordered the Pho Tai and the fried rolls. I went with the fried rolls, which are not what everyone recommended in the reviews because that's what the waitress recommended. The pho broth was a little light in color, it didn't have a heavy meat flavor to it and didn't have the positive stench that you sometimes get at a place where the broth was made over night with beef stewing in it. It did, however, have a lovely smell of cloves and other spices. For how light the color was and how non-meaty tasting it was, it was very pleasant. I liked the broth. The noodles were a little tough to start and did get a little better, as normal, but never got fully soft. The meat on the side was adequate for the bowl. The size, which some people thought was too small, was not huge but was definitely a medium sized bowl (which for Pho means that it is still more broth than most people will actually drink). The side plate was a little less full than it could have been with bean sprouts that could have been fresher, and only one sprig of basil. I asked for more basil and they happily grabbed me some. The fried rolls...If i were in the area again, I would pass on. Here's why, the fish sauce was OK but nothing special. It lacked any depth. The rolls themselves had a wonderful crunchy shell to them, and were large enough, but they were greasier than normal and the innerds just really didn't do a lot for me. They also weren't served with lettuce leaves, mint, noodles or cucumber. Most places don't bother to go that all out, but i think with how they were put together and how greasy they were that it would have enhanced the experience considerably. All in all, a solid place. The grilled pork I saw on people's tables looked pretty tasty, but with my experience with the fish sauce and the noodles I would be a little hesitant to order it.

I can't say I'm a fan of this place, since they don't offer the best Vietnamese food I ever had. This place is one of the two Vietnamese places up in the Layton-Roy area. I have been here on multiple occasions since I started dining in this area, the place seems clean enough and the decors are fairly decent. The service has always been good and I never had a bad one of all the time I have been here. I tried most of the items on their menu and none of it seems to impress me or standout among the other. The pho noodle soup is at the average quality, the soup has a pretty light favor, and I suppose they cut some corner in the soup preparation, since that's usually the most challenging part in pho. The meat and noodles were ok, but the portion was reality small when compared to other places. Most of us were still hungry afterward. I also had the special rice combo with pork chop and other meats once, and it tasted decent at best, since the fish sauce for the pork was slightly salty. One thing I do like about this place is that rather than using the generic condiment, they made a custom spicy sauce similar to Sriracha sauce but had a fish sauce favor in it for customers to use. Overall I say this place is average at best, food for value is not that great, since everything is priced about the same as some of the good places down in the Salt Lake area. But the choices are limited in this area, so I will most likely come here for lunch again when I crave for Vietnamese food, since choices are limited.

Not a bad Vietnamese restaurant considering it's in Layton Utah. Pho was on the smaller side but had the usual basil, sprouts, peppers, and lemon/lime condiments. Pho was on the light side but no MSG and did not feel thirsty afterwards. Had the Kim Long roll which was grilled beef spring roll, pretty decent. Prices were very reasonable as I thought it'd be much more expensive without all the competition like So Cal. They could do a little better with the food but it's understandable when supplies might not be the easiest to get. Would come back if ever in the area again.

I was happy to see there is a Vietnamese restaurant in this area. I came in one night for TOGOs, the owner was really nice, they packed the Pho in two different containers for me (one for soup, one for the noodles/meat/vegie). when i went back to the hotel. I head up the soup and put everything in, it was delicous. I was pleseantly suprised. I would definitely come back here again.

Went here for lunch the waitress was eager to take my order not really giving me time to look it one the menu. Not sure why she was in such a hurry the place was not very busy. So I had the roasted chicken noodle soup. It was ok chicken was hard and dry and the soup was a bit greasy. Being from California where there is a lot of options for this type of food. This place is all right.

Kim Long Vietnamese has had two dishes and an appetizer which I have been OK, but I have had one that I could not handle. This is from a lunch with friends and a dinner with my family. I do not like five spice a lot and makes it hard to eat some dishes like the pho. The calamari is OK, as it has decent texture and breading. It needs more sauce or a dipping sauce to be served with it and is expensive for what you get. The dish with noodles and some meat of your choice and a dipping sauce is good. I had shrimp and pork and it would have been nice to have more then 3 shrimp with the dish. Pho is something that is not for me and my family as I believe it has clove (part of five spice) which my wife and I do not like. If you have little kids it seems that the menu does not have a kids section (I might have missed it). Overall it is a 2 star experience maybe better if you like five spice and clove. The prices are decent for what you get and flavor is OK. I wish the tapioca ball drinks were real fruit flavored instead of powdered which kept me from trying one.

I love Pho so I tried this place when I moved to town last year. I've eaten there three times and unfortunately, it has been pretty disappointing. The first trip was fine from a service stand-point. The food was very average to below average. On my second trip the service was miserable. The young lady working there was more interested in the boy that was visiting than with any of the patrons. On my third and final visit, the food continued to be very average. However, the service was great. If I didn't need my Pho fix I wouldn't have gone back. I found a new place, so I won't be back.

Used to come here often for pho (until I found Saigon Cafe in Sunset, UT). They do have very good pho and the owners were very nice. Unfortunately they close on sundays (the day i MOST have my pho cravings) and they don't have all the pho condiments I need... :/

Was up in Layton (again) a week ago, and ended up at Kim Long's again. This was my 3rd visit and each time I have had one of the Pho's. I can't speak for any other dishes here, but the Pho is excellent! In fact, after eating here on Monday, it wasn't difficult for my friends to persuade me to go again on Thursday. Good green tea also. Definitely will come back here on my next visit to Layton.

This is the first pho and/or vietnamese place I've visited in Utah. My impression of it is that there is probably a female chef. The food here is dainty. It's not what i'm used to when visiting a vietnamese place in southern California. The business interior is clean. The food is okay. I had spring rolls, a beef salad and a cafe sua da. The spring rolls were okay. The veggies are fresh and clean tasting which is a plus, but they are chincy on the meat and shrimp. The peanut sauce was a little bit too sweet and watery for my taste. The cafe was not good. Coffee was not traditional chicory strong and could not taste the condensed milk... it tasted like premixed bland. The server was very kind and friendly. i would come back because it's close and not a bad place, just not impressive.

A good Pho restaurant in the local area, their menu and price is good, the Pho bowls is well portion but lack in vegetables but you can always ask for more. The spring rolls are filled with vegetable and lack of meat (pork & shrimp) and way over priced, there is nothing vietnamese about their rice plates except the fish sauce, but it make sense. Why the heck would people go to a Pho place to get rice, serves you right. Even though the place is family owned, they have hired people who knows nothing about Pho or what's on the menu. I'm a regular there so the owners know what I usualy order, something that is not on the menu is a small bowl of nuoc beo hanh trang "cow fat and green onion" that you pour a spoonful in the soup to enhance the flavor. Highly recommend this place for the novice that want a taste of Vietnamese food. If you have the time and patient, head down to SLC for some better Pho.

I want to rate 5 just to bring average up so people will come here. I know I usually don't bother for anything less than 4 stars. I was pleasantly surprised. I am visiting from San Francisco, and am used to pretty high quality Vietnamese food either in SF or greater bay area. I had summer rolls and the Kim long pho. The rolls where pleasant, maybe could use a little more cilantro or other fresh herbs inside. The peanut sauce was good as well. Maybe a little sweet but the house "srirachaesque" hot sauce did the trick. The wrap of rolls was a little tough as was the shrimp but just slightly so. The soup was delicious. I had to ask for fresh cilantro to go with it rather than just sprouts, Basil, jalapeno, and lime. Again I added the house sauce. The staff was very friendly, especially the owners ?wife??. All things considered it was WAY better than I would have ever dreamed for Layton Utah. All things considered I would give it 3.5 but given location easy 4.

Spring Rolls are great. Gotta have a Boba drink. There is a good selection, though I have learned to not let my wife order the Durian Fruit since she hates it and she winds up drinking my Peach Boba. You know, Durian Fruit is okay, won't go out of my way for it. Wish I could had my Peach. The Pho is excellent. Especially for the area. Not too many Pho places around here so Kim Long stands out.

I visited this spot twice in my one month stay in Layton. I ordered pho both times and they tasted good both times. It was the only Vietnamese joint close to my hotel-walking distance. Both times I visited it was relatively quiet (not sure if it wasn't a peak time?). Service-wise, I don't recall anyone checking in with me to see if I needed anything else, so I would say the service was just OK. This place helped fulfill my pho fix.

  • Eatin G.

Kim Long is not a great place, but considering its in Layton, it does deserve at least 3 stars. I've had worse Pho. What makes this place special is the friendly service and the fact that they have a child's portion of Pho which my little one loves for half the price of an adult pho. The P7 Pho has good flavor, be sure to add all your flavor enhancers, especially lime. Stay away from the Bobba drinks, they are pre-made frozen with mushy, sticky, nasty Bobba. Such a huge disappointment! Not fresh at all, in taste or looks. Since this the only decent pho place in Layton I will return again.

This place is the WORST Viet restaurant I ever been. Pho soup and Kim Long special soup tasted dirt water. Don't bother to waste ur money on this place. I was driving by from Yellowstone to Az. Love the Pho!!! Inexpensive, very flavorful and the bowl is huge!!! I got the kim long special pho and it has everything in it. Be sure to use the lime and basil...they complete the flavor.

There don't seem to be many options available if you need a Pho "fix" in Davis county. Kim Long is probably your best bet. The interior is a bit dark & dingy. And there's a pretty gross fish tank that's part of the "decor"... But the service was good, and I was especially impressed by the fact that they made a special dish (not on the menu), to satisfy my kids' particular taste. The entree that was made was a chicken ramen, & my children gobbled it up! My husband & I both ordered the brisket & steak Pho. It wasn't the best, nor the worst I've ever had. The broth was tasteless. Thank goodness siracha was on the table! The noodles were pretty good. The meat was ok. It's too bad they can't make the pho as flavorful as the ramen!

Now that I don't work here anymore, I feel like I can write a review and have it be honest without it being self-serving. I worked here as a waitress back in college. I have long since moved on, but my cravings for Kim Long's pho have not. I miss eating here every day...the pho was my regular go-to, but the Pork/Eggroll Bun was my special treat. I have seriously never had more delicious Bun since. As far as I know, it's still the only place to get Boba in Layton. Every time I come back home for a visit, I come here too. My entire family has considered Kim Long our favorite restaurant and have even converted those that claim to dislike Vietnamese food.

Kim Long has been my favorite Vietnamese restaurant so far and since I've been here twice now, I'm a regular and also a fan. First time I came here I ordered bun cha gio ga nuong...7.75. It came out on a plate...strange...recommend for you all to ask for it to be delivered in a large bowl...it works better when trying to mix and integrate all the ingredients together. This dish is perhaps a 3/5. The second time I came I ordered my usual...Pho Tai Chin...forget the price but it wasn't outrageous like Van Loi was in Roy. Tasted good in comparison to the two other places I've been to so far...Van Loi and Pho Tay Ho in SLC. I'd give it a 4/5 for the area. I liked the fact that the waitresses all wore Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese Dresses). All the servers were prompt and courteous. Oh...and don't expect the waitresses to speak Vietnamese...2 are Korean, one looks Indian and another girl is white. Nice, but not the experience I'm used to having older Vietnamese guys yell at me when taking too long order. Service 4/5.

You wouldn't expect a Vietnamese restaurant in the middle of Layton to be as authentic as it is, but Kim Long is owned by a Vietnamese family who had emigrated to Utah and set up a restaurant. The wife of the owner also came by to greet us and chatted with us for a while. You may find one of the waiter's, a tall white guy to be out of place, but don't let the waiter deceive your perception of this restaurant. He had just as well transplanted from Hell's Kitchen in New York City to Utah. He was just as friendly and helpful, always checking up on us to see if we needed anything else. For appetizers, we got the Summer Rolls (2 for $4.50). They were fresh but I found myself eating mostly vegetables and not enough pork, although there were two medium shrimps. I was hoping the side of tng xào was going to help accentuate the flavor of this rather boring wrap, but it was just as drab without any strong flavors. I would have preferred a garlic or spicy chili powder flavor, but the peanut flavor was just as subtle. For my entree, I tried P1. Kim Long Special Pho ($7.75), which includes steak, flank, tendon, tripe, meat ball, and fatty flank. Served on the side is a small plate of bean sprouts, lime wedges, and cilantro. The broth was very delicious alone, but things got real interesting by squeezing some Sriracha sauce to the broth to add a spicy chili flavor (sorry, no bottles of the BBQ sauce were available on the table). The thin slices of steak were thrown into the broth just before serving so that you could see a very subtle pinkness to the meat. But just dip it further into the broth to help cook the meat to your preference. The pieces of flank, tendon, tripe and fatty flank were fresh and delicious. However, the meat balls, similar to fish balls, had a bit of a gristly texture. I also tried R18. Charbroiled Pork Rice Platter. The thin pieces of pork were indeed charbroiled to perfection, with a nice sweet char flavor. Although it wasn't included but is usually standard with this dish, we asked for the standard-fare fish sauce that the owner happily brought a small bowl over. The Kim Long Special Pho is one to definitely try out here. Portions of the sides may not be as generous as what some may be accustomed to in New York City, but I would consider the pho to be fairly authentic. Also, if you're looking for a reasonably priced meal, this is the place to be.

I am glad that in Layton, UT of all places, I can get decent Vietnamese food that doesn't make me cry. I ordered a summer roll which was decent. I was glad the sauce wasn't watered too down and there was enough flavor to not make me disappointed. I enjoyed the pickled vegetables that came with it. Nice touch. This appetizer is very cleansing. Instead of going for pho, I decied to get the Kim Long Hu Thieu. I was hoping for glass noodles but it was served with pho noodles. The broth was very clean, not oily, and was not disappointing in flavor. It surprises me how I do not get sleepy after eating Vietnamese food because the food is so clean, as opposed to say, all the chain restaurants that litter Layton. The waitress was very nice and chatted with me as I was an early bird and no one else was there. I look forward to going back and getting ban xeo, spring rolls, and pho. I am grateful that I can get decent Vietnamese food in Layton.

We had never been here before, mostly because T of I is right next door and is amazing. We ordered the spring rolls (pork and beef) as an appetizer and then I got the vegetarian pho and my husband the pho with everything under the sun in it (1st pho on the menu). I've never actually eaten pho before although I have had Vietnamese food previously that was very good . The spring rolls were not bad but they could have been better - too many noodles and not enough herbs/flavor. My pho tasted like a bowl of hot water with tofu and some vegetables plopped in. No brothy flavor, no salt, no spice. My husband did not like his either. And by the way, tripe is not a type of fish :). The hubby had some pho somewhere in SLC last week and loved it so its definitely not pho as a whole that is not liked.

Visiting family while on vacation, stopped here on a rainy day. Delicious. As good as any of the places I have been to in San Diego. For SD natives, I found this comparable to Mignon on Convoy. My wife and I each had pho, and the kids split a chicken noodle soup. The pho was excellent, but it was the chicken noodle that really impressed me. The chicken had been grilled, and had nice score marks. It added a smokiness to the broth that was just fantastic. Very impressed, I will return here each time I come to Layton.

Love it

Yay!

Used to come here often for pho (until I found Saigon Cafe in Sunset, UT). They do have very good pho and the owners were very nice. Unfortunately they close on sundays (the day i MOST have my pho cravings) and they don't have all the pho condiments I need... :/

WHY.

I went here for the first time and I ordered a large bowl of Pho (P1) and a Taro boba drink. It's good, but it's not the best. The drink was my favorite.

Great beef Pho well seasoned. They have the best shrimp fried rice I have tasted and there customer service was excellent. I live in Los Angeles where there is lots of Pho Restaurants And So Far This Place Nailed It 5 Stars hands down.... Will come again when in the area.

While the food is decent I have eaten at Van Loi in nearby Roy and they have better quality meat in their dishes. Good location for folks visiting Layton area.

Used to come here often for pho (until I found Saigon Cafe in Sunset, UT). They do have very good pho and the owners were very nice. Unfortunately they close on sundays (the day i MOST have my pho cravings) and they don't have all the pho condiments I need... :/

We enjoyed the BBQ pork platters that come with rice noodles, bean sprouts, cilantro and other fresh veggies. The spring rolls were great and the staff very attentive and friendly!

Been going to KimLong since they opened and haven't been disappointed yet. Even the vegetarian Pho is great.

Very good. Clean and inviting dining area. The place was busy but the service was superb for a weekend night. The food was also delicious.

Great Pho, fast service, good prices, fresh ingredients. They deserve your business.

My go-to for good pho when I want it right away. Mostly due to its close proximity and friendly service.

Pho....I used to like going to Kim Long's untill I found out a few things about their business practices. I no longer will eat here although the food is good but there is a closer place to have Pho that's in Roy.

Love it
