We were promised great Chinese food and cheap sushi and we were not disappointed! Their egg drop soup is prepared my favorite way - eggs and broth. Not Campbell's chicken noodle soup with eggs like some other Chinese restaurants. Their Chinese dishes are Americanized but wonderful. The sweet & sour chicken had a great breading. The portions are very generous. I don't eat fish/seafood but our dining partners do and they claim that the sushi is fabulous. I had them make me a vegetarian roll and added some special requests which they seemed glad to fulfill. The ambiance is modern. The staff is very friendly. And I haven't stopped craving their food since I had it!

The fried rice was okay. I asked if they had pork fried rice, they said no. But they had ham fried rice... I had never had ham fried rice prior to ordering from this place. The person who took my order said we don't have pork fried rice because that's not Chinese food, that's American Chinese. I'm like huh? Okay, sure, ham's cool. They did something nice for me, they gave me a free fountain soda.

It took them less than 5 minutes to make our food. It had good flavor but was soggy. I don't think it was made fresh. Fresh would not be ready in less than 5 minutes or be soggy.

Not great, in fact it was pretty darn bad. The |o mein was a soggy mess, the orange chicken & the generals chicken were soggY, as was the sweet & sour chicken. But all this paled in comparison to the nastiness that was the egg rolls. 0ne bite and both my wife & I were done for the night. I don't know if they fried the egg rolls in the oil with some type of fish, but they tasted overwhelmingly like old shrimp. yuck. Never again!

The food was really good and very fast. It came to our table within 10 minutes of ordering. Great service, fast and attentive, the waitress was on top of everything. Pretty decently priced and large plates. I have enough left for another meal. Clean and quite.

This place has yummy food and very reasonable prices. It's one of my favorite lunch time spots in town.

Love this place. Sushi is great, and the chinese dishes are pretty awesome. Great friendly service, but be careful around 12, they get overrun with students from the school next door, which slows service considerably. They offer great lunch deals for students, which is smart for them, but it was teen overload. I prefer to go before 12, or after 1. Have never been disspointed with the food..

The food was as described by other reviewers as "American style Chinese". This is not the worst Chinese I have had, but it also is far from the best. I ordered take out on my recent visit, but in the past I have dined in. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is attentive yet the food lacked. I ordered a meal for 2 which was plenty for my wife, my two kids, and myself. The egg drop, hot n sour soups were flavorless, the General Tso's was decent, the Cashew Chicken was okay, and the rice was good. I ordered a Yellow Tail roll in addition to my meal, and that was the worst sushi roll I have had in a long time. It had been a long time since I had visited this establishment, and I don't know if I will be returning in the future.

I live right next to here so I decided to give them a try. I thought what I've ordered has been good. Although the general tao chicken was supposed to be spicy I found there wasn't much kick at all. Hot and sour soup is really good. Cream cheese won tons were excellent too. I liked their egg rolls. They were on the small side but homemade. I want to try their sushi next.

This is a new Chinese Japanese hybrid restaurant that opened recently on Hill Field Road in Layton. They serve Americanized Chinese food and Japanese dishes. I finally decided to try the place after driving past it for a few weeks. The place is small, but has a nice ambience to it and it gives you a well-balanced Japanese-Chinese feel to it. Everywhere seems clean enough. The service is friendly and well attended. There were not anything in particular that caught our eyes in the Chinese and Japanese section, and we ended up ordering the generic items from the Chinese side for lunch, which were Mongolian Beef and General Tao's Chicken. The lunch combo came with soup, cheese wonton, and fried rice. The soup tasted very salty, which I ended up not finishing. The cheese wonton was very plain with only cream cheese inside and they poured sweet and sour sauce on it before serving. The beef dish tasted ok overall, but I did not like the fact that they deep-fried the beef before stir-frying the dish and I also remember Mongolian Beef being little spicy, but that feature was not included. The chicken dish was just ok too. It had the right colour and tasted sweet like any other generic places nearby. Overall, this place has the good looks and services, but it is definitely lacking on food quality. Perhaps the Japanese side of menu would be different.

This place is great! If I ever feel like I don't want to make dinner or dress up to go out I just order carry out from China Fortune. It's cheap and delicious. I try something new every time I go, and I've never disliked anything. (Except the cheese wontons, but I don't like cheese wontons in general, so that's a given) It's a great place to eat.

We have been looking for a local chinese place for a while. Got their menu in the mail so decided to try it. We did the family dinner for 2; it was only $18.26 with tax. Overall it was pretty good, we will be going back again. Also, they deliver!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
