Stopped here late-ish on a Sunday night and it was crowded. Reason why might just be that everything is super tasty, from the salsa to the rice to the beans to the entrees. Really, really delicious food. We had tacos al carbon and a big burrito - both were outstanding. Service was friendly and super fast BUT... we've never been to a Mexican restaurant where a bowl of chips got dropped off at our table minus any salsa! Took us a while to flag down someone to ask for salsa, and then - salsa didn't actually come till our food arrived. This sounds worse that it was because the food did come super fast. But still...

Surprisingly good food, Im use to California Mexican food. So out here in Texas Im usually dissapointed with TEX-MEX.

I only rate this with four stars because I reserve 5 stars for upscale "amazing" places. We went here on August 18 for my husband's birthday after reading positive Yelp reviews. We started out with the Queso con Chorizo, ("Melted jack cheese with Mexican sausage and pico de gallo flaming and prepared at your table"). It was amazing! My husband had fajitas, I had the Guiso de Puerco and my daughter had Camarones à la Diabla. All of the dishes were tasty and served hot and quickly. The only problem was we had way too much food (but lunch for a few days afterward). I had the house on the rocks margarita and my daughter had the frozen mango margarita. Both were better than average, but not outstanding. The service was good. The only thing I could possibly complain about is nobody was able to make recommendations for us as first-timers, so we had to go with what sounded good. Fortunately, we weren't disappointed with any of our choices. I'd definitely recommend this place and look forward to our next visit.

I've dined at Salsa many times and never been disappointed with the food! My top apps and entrees are ceviche tostado (made fresh daily and perfect for the summer heat), chicken tortilla soup, brisket tacos and chicken/spinach quesadilla. Now I have noticed a new manager in there and had a terrible experience with a waiter asking for my phone number - 3 times while I was signing his tip slip. Not the best idea on his part! I haven't seen him again and just assumed he tried this 1 to many times. Overall my waiters (and a sweetheart waitress who's been there from the beginning) have been attentive and polite.

My new go-to Tex Mex restaurant in Frisco. They prepare food fast! I've only ordered to go so I can't speak much for the service. But the bartenders I've dealt with when I order to go have been friendly. They've taken my orders quickly, even while they were busy with happy hour patrons... And it gets busy! The chips and bean dip are great! The salsa is good too. I've tried the brisket enchiladas brisket chimichanga, chicken chimichanga, chicken quesadillas, and Pollo con Hongos. My only complaint is the brisket was a bit salty in the enchilada and chimichanga but still edible. The other dishes had were flavored well. Everything was cooked perfectly which surprised me because the food came out extremely fast. I can't wait to try more dishes.

Been here many times, location is usually busy and that's a good sign. Week long happy hours (except for fri and sat I think) means great deals on margaritas. Really like their bean dip, their dishes are pretty standard (fajitas are good as is the burrito, the chimichanga is meh). Not great deserts, their tres leches cake left a lot to be desired. But overall very reasonable prices, good salsa and bean dip, would return!

Salsa is turning into our go-to Mexican spot in Frisco. They prepare the take out quickly and they handle take out orders efficient without errors. The Brisket Enchiladas are great! They are spicy and the Brisket is tender and delicious. The Pollo con Hongas is also surprising simple and delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the peppers were bright and delicious, and the rice and beans were a perfect compliment. The real star for me though is the chips and black bean dip. Holy cow!!!! I could eat those every day! Salsa is turning into our new, "What are we having tonight? I don't know! Lets go to Salsa's!!!" I haven't eaten in yet so I can't rate the service dining in however, if you need take out, and are sick of disgusting fast food... Salsa is a great place at a great price!!!!

The food is great but the service needs work. I have been here so many times...20 plus times so you know I like the food but if I am not in the mood for bad service I will not go there. There saving grace is their food...the wait staff is 85% terrible. There are a few good but that is rare here.

This was my first time coming here. I have heard both good and bad things about this place so I thought i would give it a shot. They do give you free salsa and bean dip. I enjoyed the salsa buy wasn't a fan of the bean dip(not a fan in general) Ordered cheese enchiladas with fajita while they were good and the food was delicious I felt as if the service was lacking, I had to ask for a refill after my drink was completely empty. I will give it another try to see if it was just a one time deal.

Good Food...good service! I can't say it's one of my favorites, but you will not be disappointed. Price is very fair...I'd say give it a try :-)

Super family friendly Mexican restaurant! Before the child, my husband and I used to love getting dressed up on the weekends, go to trendy Mexican restaurants, and wait an hour for a table while sipping Mexican Martinis. Times have changed, friends. We chose this place because of quick seating, large portions, good food, and if my kid freaks out-- who cares? There's probably 6 or 7 other kids freaking out at the same time. We'll fit right in. So in conclusion-- quick service, fast seating (we went on a Friday night, it was busy but there were still a few tables open for us to slip in), good food, it's kinda ok to not be on your best behavior here, and it's not trendy (which can be a plus depending on how much time you have to groom).

I expected this to be an El Chico-esque experience but was so wrong! The service was prompt and friendly. The salsa and black bean dip accompanying the chips was delicious as well. Chips are just like I like them; not too thick and mighty crispy. Giant ordered a combo plate with beef taco, cheese and chicken enchiladas. The sauces on the enchiladas were wonderful and the beef taco filling had lots of kick from chile powder and cumin. I had chicken enchiladas with a serrano-queso sauce and they were not what I expected. The chicken was cubed up grilled chicken breast, seasoned perfectly. Not the bland, shredded stuff packed into the tortilla like a cigar. The sauce had that high, clean kick you get from serranos and the smoothness of the queso was just right. My only issue, and I should have known, was that the black beans I requested as a sub for refried, were the same thinly pureed stuff that accompanied the salsa. A soup, really, rather than a side. So they kind of spread all over the plate and required a spoon to eat. I'll know better next time, and after that experience, there will be a next time!

My husband and I love this place. The food is always great and the service is wonderful!! Their margaritas and sangria are fantastic. The only complaint is you usually have to wait for a table, which is a good sign! We love the bar tenders. They know what we want before we order. We love feeling right at home.

  • David E.

By far the most amazing queso blanco over had in over a decade! The black bean dip is surprisingly tasty!... And this is coming from someone that does not eat beans at all!!! BRAVO - THAT'S A HUGE SCORE IN MY BOOK. I HATE BEANS!!! Came for the tail end of happy hour and woah!!! The frozen margaritas are quite strong and tasty (only needed one... And I'M GOOD). 5xs the applause for that one!!! Can't wait to come back next time and really dive deep into this menu!!! Great service to boot! Cheers to the staff and the bartender!!! P.S. - the salsa is PERFECTO!!! (and I'm normally just a queso junkie)!!!

We decided to have dinner her one evening after my husband passed by one evening and noticed there were a lot of people there. We arrived about 5pm and were immediately seated. We were quickly greeted and had salsa & bean dip brought to the table. I had combination of enchiladas & tacos and my husband had enchiladas. Our daughter had cheese quesadillas. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we will definitely return.

I usually don't give 5 stars unless the food is amazingly delicious. The food here is good, but the 5 star rating in this case is for the overall experience. Salsa is the best place in Frisco if you want to bring your young child AND have a delicious (and strong) margarita along with your good food. Their patio, though located in a strip mall, is actually quite nice. We've never had problems with the service here. Also, happy hour ALL DAY Sunday-Thursday. And at some point Friday afternoon. Winning! Since I last reviewed this place, my family has come here about once a week. Sometimes we just come in the afternoon for a snack and a drink; other times we come for Sunday brunch. I LOVE their beef Salsa Mex nachos. It doesn't look like much food, but that's because each individual chip is absolutely loaded with beef and beans and cheese. They're not stingy with the jalapenos, either. Order them. My favorite thing to eat here are the huevos rancheros, which they serve for brunch. Once upon a time I would have called this the perfect hangover food. Now I just call it super yummy, satisfying, and reasonably priced. A frozen margarita with salt goes perfectly with it. One of the best things about this place is that you don't have to wait at all for a brunch table. Also, no one will give your kid the stink-eye for getting ornery because almost everyone else their has their own little one in tow. Salsa is definitely a family favorite.

I am picky about my Tex Mex. I was impressed how fresh everything was, plus strong margaritas. No need to order a 2nd! Best Tex Mex in a 5 mile radius.

  • Peter H.

Food above average but manager is clueless. If they could manage this store better it would do well.

  • Joseph D.

The free black bean dip is awesome! They definitely did their homework! Tastes very similar to Gloria's (stolen recipe? probaby not). The food is good most of the times. Just don't ever (and seriously, I mean NEVER) order the hamburger/cheese burger from the kids menu. Granted, this is a Mexican food place and you shouldn't be ordering a hamburger in the first place, but when you have a super picky 6 year old, you do what you have to to get them to eat enough! Back to the burger, I'm pretty sure the meat was a few years old! It looked like it grilled well, but when I tried a bite of it (luckily before my son did) I almost threw up all the chips I ate! Seriously, it was that bad! I immediately sent it back. We never got a replacement which was fine with us. We will go back, probably not soon...but sometime.

Just watched the manager handle a situation with a customer with absolute class! This a is wonderful restaurant with excellent management! Highly recommend:)

Your standard TexMex food with an excellent salsa offered. I imagine this is the kind of restaurant Warren Buffet might frequent so people know he's not too fancy. They also have coupons and the service is super friendly.

I had a business lunch today with a friend here. My wife and I have been coming here for a while now and have always had good food and good service. However, today was the exception. Juan was our waiter. The restaurant was not very crowded and it took us at least 10 minutes to get our drinks. We placed our order and we had to repeat it several times as we were ordering. When we finally received our order my flour tortillas were black and that is no exaggeration. Before I could get the waiter's attention my lunch companion was halfway through with his meal. He took my plate back after a few minutes brought it back out with acceptable tortillas. However, he did not bring my fork back to me. We flag down a busboy and I asked for a fork and he could not understand our English. He turned and left telling us he could not speak English. I finally got up and found our waiter and ask for a fork. When he brought my fork my lunch companion asked for a drink refill which he never got. I asked the waiter for a spoon for the salsa and he came back in a few minutes and thought I had asked for a basket of tostadas. Needless to say we did not leave happy.

Great little hole in the wall. Food is great. Wait staff is very friendly and extremely respectful. They have great Happy Hour specials that start on a Sunday. Margaritas are delicious. The large crowds week after week is a good sign of a pretty good restaurant. We need more of these in Frisco.

    (4)
  • Cynthia S.

Very very good. Appetizer, dinner, and dessert were all excellent!! We will definitely be back!

    (5)
  • Bill B.

Family friendly very good Tex-Mex. the service is always fast and well done. Food is good. Not great but good, better than most places in their class. After several visits they will start to recognize you and that is always special for a place that is clearly very busy. Well done SalsaMex. Our family of four makes frequent trips.

    (5)
  • Kelly S.

Salsa is our favorite place to eat in Frisco. The ambiance is great. The frozen margaritas are the best!

  • Tee J.

When I walk in to Salsas to order a bowl of Queso for $7.99 and you tell me the chips are separate. (meaning the chips cost extra). me: GTFOH with that BS Guess I will never be able to rate the quality of the food. I didn't get that far.

    (1)
  • Kacie M.

Can you say SALT? This is our 3rd time here...3xs a charm? NOPE, everytime food is extremely salty, today no exception. Sour cream sauce is bland, refried beans was like licking a salt rock. Gave this place 3 trys,,,no more.

    (2)
  • Jason W.

Enchiladas are meh. Others' fajitas will continue to cook for 10 minutes at their table. As a result your clothes will smell.

  • Kristina Z.

We come here often with our family and the manager always greets us and recognizes us so that is nice. They treat us like family and treat the kids well too. The food has been consistent and they have some delicious margarita's. The only complaint I have is it takes a while to get the check at times whether the place is busy or not. This is no fun when the kids are fussy and ready to go. Other than that we love coming here.

    (4)
  • Karl G.

One thing to say about Salsa is that they are very consistent. The food is a mix of Central American and Mexican food They have a black bean dip and salsa that is free and many of the wonderful dishes are great! Ceviche is awesome, fajitas are really good. The work staff seem to really enjoy what they are doing. Also people tell me the drinks are good, and many of the people there to pickup food say nothing but good things about the place. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

    (5)
  • Tim G.

Great casual Tex Mex. Good prices, fast service. Only complaint is that you are going to have to wait on the weekends - but that means everyone else likes it too!

    (4)
  • J G.

Slow kitchen but at least it's turning out really good flavor, fair prices and big portions. Three out of four is just fine. We'll be back for sure.

  • Ash W.

I wish my only problem would have been the obviously frozen, overcooked shrimp. Nope! My friend and I both got food poisoning. Pass on this deathtrap.

We come here often and have never been disappointed. Great patio and a vibrant bar. Service was great and food was excellent. Love love love the margaritas!!!!

    (4)
  • Anita G.

Food and service was good, I was kind of disappointed by the chips and salsa, their salsa had no flavor and chips were kind of tough bean drapes was on point though

    (3)
  • Cassie C.

I love this mexican restaurant. One of the best and most consistent in NW Frisco. Beef enchiladas are great! Frozen margarita's are even greater, especially during their all day long happy hour. The hot sauce and the bean sauce are awesome and the chips are light and crispy. I am so glad they came to the NW Frisco area, great neighborhood restaurant!

  • Cherryl B.

New in town and have only been twice, but definitely worth a trip back. We all loved the black bean dip that comes out with salsa and chips (a nice touch) and the brisket enchiladas were excellent. Kid friendly, decent patio, and a must for me: good margaritas! Will review again later...

  • Jon B.

We love this place! They have grilled quail that is perfect for something different.

  • Holly M.

It was our first time to eat at Salsa Tex Mex in Frisco. We decided to try it after seeing the patio packed with people. The complimentary chips, salsa and bean dip are great. We ordered the combo fajitas, which came out sizzling hot flavorful. Fajitas for for one where enough for my husband and I to share. I definitely would bring my friends and family back again. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

    (5)
  • Eric C.

2.5 stars would be the ideal rating. My expectations were meh and Salsa failed to deliver on that. Chips and salsa were below average for the area, but complementary bean dip was a nice touch. I got Rene which is one cheese enchilada, one beef taco and a considerably oversized tamale. They were all just ok. Service was great and they have good happy hour specials.

    (3)
  • N K.

Good lunch specials, fast service and kid friendly. The food is pretty good and very reasonably priced. The black bean dip is excellent, but the salsa could use some work. Nice wait staff and ample seating. Will be back!

    (4)
  • Destinee D.

How did this place get 4 stars? We just had our first experience here...place was over-crowded, and the service was HORRIBLE. Our waiter was not attentive. The chip guy was rude and seemed inconvenienced when we asked for extra salsa. I only give 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was decent. We will NOT be returning based on service alone.

    (2)
  • Dj B.

Wow! Just wow. Me and my wife stopped here for lunch, tried the chimichanga and it was beyond our expectations. We will definitely be back here

Great job Yelp! I was in Dallas for a conference and you sent me here! Great salsa, great rice (very fresh, not sticky) and GREAT fish tacos. Little place but great service. Thanks guys and gals, ill be back!

    (5)
  • Gregg R.

Brisket tacos are superb. Nice mix of Central American and Tex-Mex food. We don't have many places in West Frisco unless you want to battle the traffic at the restaurants in the stadium area, so this is a nice quiet place close to home that we enjoy.

    (4)
  • Lisa P.

This is the best little neighborhood Tex Mex restaurant. The black bean dip and salsa are outstanding. The Pollo Asado and Grilled Tiapia on the lunch menu and the Grilled Salmon on the dinner menu are fantastic. The prices are more than reasonable. To top it off, the service is excellent.

    (5)
  • Laura G.

Who knew we had such a great place in our neighborhood? I had the rib eye carne asada, fantastic! My son had shrimp fajitas. Giant shrimp and he loved it. My husband had a combo meal that was huge and he said was great! Waiter was very attentive, we were served quickly and the salsa was very hot (to me). We will definitely be back!

    (5)
  • Nicole H.

Our favorite Mexican food place in the Frisco area! Service is beyond great, margaritas superb, and food is always super good! It gets pretty busy at times, but worth the wait. Thanks to everyone who works here - you do a fabulous job!! My only complaint (and it's not the fault of the restaurant) is that many people bring their kids and let them run all around and be really loud.

    (5)
  • Larry P.

Dropping my rating to 1 star and I'm not going back here. I've been here a couple of times and the food wasn't bad, but today I got my order with refried beans and couldn't find a bean in the bean soup they dumped on my plate... I asked a waiter about it but he just shrugged and was a jerk... meal comes with tortillas but they never made it to the table... you shouldn't even have to ask if it is listed as part of the meal... I'm going to find another place to eat... there are many... and, if you like loud Mexican music then you'll enjoy being deaf as you will have to yell at your other guests in order to have a conversation... my meal had about 1/2 an onion added to it... almost more onion than eggs in the meal... also, while I don't mind spicy, my egg dish had jalapenos that were hot enough to give me indigestion... ugh!

    (1)
  • Monique M.

This is a fabulous little neighborhood Tex Mex joint. Funny thing is that my fav dishes aren't Tex Mex! The salmon is to die for...the tilapia is also tremendous. Both come with a little side of rice and the best grilled veggies ever.

  • Allison E.

Our meal started off on a bad note as the waiter accidentally tossed the first round of our drinks on us..bummer. I get it that accidents happen, but the recovery from the waiter was less than stellar. Our table was soaked so WE had to ask to move tables and WE had to ask for napkins to dry off..weird. When he brought us a new round of drinks, he didn't even really say sorry. Strange. After the drink fiasco was over, we sipped our swirls, munched on the chips and perused the menu. Lots to pick from. I landed on the Salmon salad which was really good and fresh, however I ordered an ala carte tamale which came out cold and I had to ask them to bring out a warm one..bummer. Everyone in my party liked their food and it all seemed fresh with good ingredients. I will likely return but keep my fingers crossed I get seated with a different waiter.

  • Tia R.

We decided to try this place based on reviews for the Plano location. The place was packed and we had a party of 9. We were seated right away and given chips, salsa and black bean dip--all very good. The food was tasty, with good portions for the price. The shell on my taco salad was a little too brown for my taste but the salad was good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their enchiladas and quesadillas. The service was relatively quick considering how busy they were. It is nice to finally have a decent restaurant in our corner of Frisco. Looking forward to trying their brunch and other dishes.

  • Kelli L.

Holy cow that black bean dip is great! When my kids ask to go here, they say, "I want to go to the beans sauce place, Mama!" The service is always awesome and the food is terrific. We found this place when we were checking out the restaurants near the new home we are building. We are so excited that it's so close...we've found our new "regular place."

Food is good, service is terrible. Last few times, had to chase waiter down for refills and the check. If they had more staff, wod be a better experience.

Save your time and just drive down Main Street to Matito's or Manny's. The service here is among the worst in all of Frisco. Poorly managed, which is unfortunate because I'd love to go to this neighborhood eatery if it wasn't so painful.

    (1)
  • Brad V.

Excellent all around. Service was very attentive, food was great, and prices are right in line with other restaurants in the area. Family favorite.

  • Tiffany B.

My family and I decided to try it out because we were looking for some good mexican food. OMG. I got the fajitachanga and i fell in love. The only thing i would say is for kids meal, the bean and cheese nachos were just cheese nachos and you get like 5 of them . Prices were reasonable

    (5)
  • Jeremy A.

This place is great! we have been coming here since the day they opened is still our go to place for Mexican food. Jose the manager knows us by name and is always so inviting. We often go here after church with a big group. Now stop reading and go get the #20 with extra jalapenos. Tell them I sent ya!

Salsa Tex-Mex has become my go-to Mexican restaurant! Actually, its pretty much my go-to restaurant in general. The chips/salsa/bean dip are amazing and the Beer-Ritas are delish. The atmosphere is casual and the staff is friendly. I can't recommend this place enough!!

Always good food and good service and great price point.

ok ok........i'm gonna complain about the kid's menu even though you aren't supposed to go here for the kids menu..........it's scary looking stuff but kid's don't complain much about chicken fingers--look like it was refried 2-3 times before served to my kids...had to ask for something else now the tex mex was on par i felt and was good ...

  • Sara W.

This is probably one of the best Tex Mex places I have ever been to! Salsa was amazing!!! Wait staff and hostess were amazing and attentive. Food was very fresh and full of flavor. Will def be going back on a regular basis!

  • Jennifer B.

Mmmmmm... same delicious black bean dip as Gloria's, and food is just as delicious for a fraction of the price. When we first started coming here, there was never a wait but the locals are starting to figure out this new gem, so a wait can be expected. Like Gloria's, there is not a designated waiting area but the wait typically goes quickly and the food is so worth it.

This place has 4.5 stars as of 5/28/2012. I shall begin my review with a couple of questions for my fellow reviewers: Have y'all never had Tex-Mex before? Did you lose your taste buds in some freak accident? Are you from the midwest, or maybe from some foreign country that is averse to spices, seasonings, and flavor? You (presumably) live in N. Texas, where good Tex-Mex can be found on damn near every street corner - and this sure as hell ain't it. This is some of the blandest, most boring food I have ever had. Before I start discussing the lame combo platter I had, I'll give credit where credit is due: The margaritas, while not inspired, were pretty tasty. The back bean dip is pretty good too, and I have had worse salsa. That's it. Everything else we had was perfectly dreadful. We'll start with the "fajita" nachos. In a word: bland. In two words: maddeningly bland. The meat was tender enough, but had zero flavor. Not a thing fajita about 'em, they should have called them "bland meat nachos" instead. To make matters worse, the tortilla chips lurking under the "fajita" had a bizarre flavor, which helped to make the whole thing just... unpleasant. My hopes for the main course were rapidly fading. The combo selected is called the Mario, and consists of a cheese enchilada, a chicken enchilada, and a beef taco. Unfortunately, just like the nachos, there was not a bit of actual Tex-Mex flavor to be had here. Unseasoned chicken in a boring sour cream sauce, a flavorless cheese enchilada in a con carne that is straight out of a school cafeteria, and the taco honestly tasted like Ortega mix from the grocery store encased in a strange tasting corn taco shell (where do they source these things?) that bore a strong resemblance to the off putting tortilla chips in the nachos. So, back to my original statement - there are several Tex Mex places within less than 10 minutes of this place, almost all of which are leaps and bounds better. Do yourself a favor and pass this one by. You can thank me later.

Pros: Excellent Location Hands-On Managment Waiters attention to detail Very good tasting chicken and beef fajitas Cons: Portion sizes were dainty Iced tea weak and watered down

This restaurant replaced another Mexican restaurant that we used to go to. I have been here about three times already, and fell in love with the brisket tacos. I have yet to order any other entrée. The restaurant lives up to their name because the Salsa and chips are awesome. The brisket tacos are great, with the slices of avocado, rice and beans. I have also tried the sopapillas, which were very good. The first time we went service was pretty slow, but the service has got better every time. Still needs to work, but seems like they are really trying.

My wife and I decided to check Salsa out. We got a table near the small bar so we could watch the football games. We started out with chips, salsa, black bean dip and queso. All were very good. You've got to have something to wash all of that down though, so we went with their Meltdowns. What a great choice! They are strong though! Really strong! We also tried the chicken and beef fajita nachos. They were pretty good. We didn't order dinner this time, but we will definitely be back. We'll also be spending some time on their patio this spring.

The service I give 1 star, I came in with a firend and we stood at the bar for 5 mins, no one even spoke to me NOT even the bartender. Then we we mentioned we had a to go order, it was like they didnt even care. I thought it was really rude. The food was pretty good overall, the queso and salsa wasnt though. I also had the super hot salsa and even though it was really hot which I love, it had no flavor what so ever. Also we came in on a Sunday and ordered food to go for 6 people and they were so stingy on the chips and salsa, especially the salsa which I didnt understand. They said if they gave me anymore they would have to charge me???? I dont think I will be back.

We live right down the road and love convenience so that's why we started coming here. Initially the service and value overshadowed the mediocre food so we liked coming here. For some reason over the last several months the service has progressively declined. We decided to give this place one last try. Well obviously patrons have experienced the same decline in service as this place, which is usually at 98% capacity is less than half full. Service was better but sub par and doesn't make up for the mediocre food so we're probably going elsewhere to eat Tex-Mex.

MMMMMMMmmmmmMM.. My new fave brunch place for sure! The hubs and I went here today on a whim and wanting to try out a new place. The food was FANTASTIC! First off, the salsa and black bean dip had excellent flavor and the queso was yummy too. I love that their chips aren't over salted. I had a mimosa to start with {$1.99!!} and my husband had tea. Took a while to get our drinks/food, but everything was worth the wait. I had some sort of chorizo + eggs combo w tortillas and my husband had a gigantic breakfast burrito. Soooo much food that we both had more than half left over. We thought everything had great flavor and will absolutely go back - I'd love to try out their dinner and margs as well. Their sign said they have happy hour ALL DAY Sunday - Thursday...Can't beat that!

Delicious! We have eaten here two times now and both times were great experiences. I am not sure if they take call-ahead reservations, but you plan to go on a Friday evening make sure to go early because it gets crowded and there is a wait. But the wait is worth it. Chimichangas are great.

Came here one night with my family because my toddler wanted to eat Tex-Mex. We were a bit iffy since the last restaurant that it replaced was no bueno! Anyhow, we were impressed w/ the amount of patrons in the restaurant & the attentive service the moment we got in the door. Due to the amount of cars in the parking lot, we were afraid that there'd be a long wait. We were seated right away & our drinks were brought out almost immediately. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone w/ impatient toddlers as the service was impeccable as was the food. The chips & sauce that come out are excellent! This is a definite keeper in the Frisco area and an added bonus that it's less than a 5 minute drive from our house.

This is one of my favorite Mexican places in the Metroplex. You are greeted with a warm welcome at the door. The servers are constantly trying to make sure you are completely satisfied. The quality of food is very high. Sometimes I do not understand why people prefer Blue Goose over this place. Their restaurant delivers great food and service consistently. I believe that the prices for the meals are very reasonable. The only reason I took one star off was because they charged me extra for a side of pica de gallo. It's one thing to charge, but they never even told me that they were going to charge extra for it. So that's probably their only minus. I highly recommend their fajita omelette. All of their breakfast dishes are only available for Sunday brunch. Definitely worth the visit!

This place is right around the corner, and boy is it about time. When I'm too tired to drive to Legacy or the Stonebriar area, this restaurant does the trick. Is it my favorite Mexican food in town, no, but it will do. We've enjoyed the tacos al carbon, shrimp nachos and tacos. The bean dip is delicious and the chips and salsa are pretty good. Let's keep this nice, local restaurant in business; I'm so tired of the only restaurant around here being Subway, wahhhh!

We eat here all the time! Can't complain. Great food, at a great price. Weekend traffic in this joint can make for a little wait, but well worth it.

My family went on a busy Friday night, and the service was incredible. Food was out fast, and best of all, it was delicious. Chimichanga has a unique flavor, very good. Enchiladas are wonderful. Much improved over the previous mexican restaurant that haunted this location. Atmosphere is basic, open.

We have been Manny's faithful for years and still go there, but Salsa Tex Mex is excellent! Brisket enchiladas, tacos and burritos are terrific and they are solid operators in terms of service and order timing. My wife and I have eaten there half a dozen times in the last three weeks and gone with other couples or taken our high school and college kids. The owner, Felix, came from Gloria's and it shows in some of the items, but the price point is lower and the portions are generous. The margaritas are very good and Sunday through Thursday is happy hour. After 6:30pm there is usually a wait, but it's well worth it and family friendly. Design of the tables and seating layout could be better, but I'm certain they'll expand over time. This place is a real gem.

My food was cold, and the waitress said she would have them REHEAT it. People dont pay for reheated food when they go to restaurants. Plus I had fajitas with fried onions. Reheating anything fried is gross. When I questioned the reheating, she said she would get the manager. He came back 3 mins later with my food. I asked if it was reheated, and he said they aren't allowed to do that. I informed him what the waitress said, and also informed him that when she poured our tea, she had our straws up touching in the tea pitcher. Gross! I don't want to be drinking tea that touched someone else's straw too! He apologized and said he would talk to her. He asked if if I wanted anything else, and I asked for more tortillas. I waited and waited for those, (a good ten minutes and my husband was already done with his meal by this time) and finally a different waiter asked if I needed anything. Our waitress ended up bringing them, and when she walked away she went and bad mouthed me to another waitress. Reafing lips isn't hard, and when the other one looks back at you, and says her?, you know what's going down. With cold food and horrible service, my meal wasn't even comped. I will NEVER go back, and won't recommend this place to anyone!

I have never had anything that I did not like at Salsa's! The price is GREAT! I get the hotter hot sauce and love the black bean dip! Happy Hour all day on Mon-Thu. You should definitely try this! I have hit all of the places on the corner and this is at the top!
