This was a decent Japanese restaurant in Tullahoma. There are a lot of maki variety (not much for sashimi and sushi). I ordered "dancing with salmon", with tuna, white tuna, cucumber, jalapeño, salmon and salmon roe. It is one of those rolls you need to dip into the soy sauce since it's all fish and no sauce. I wish they would've de-seeded the jalapeño. And maybe add more salmon roe on top. Next, I ordered the "spicy star" - and this, I love!! It comes in 4 pieces, in sushi form. The spicy octopus and crawfish were toasted and warm. Solid sushi to the bite! The agedashi tofu had spicy mayo and unagi sauce..a bit different from what I'm used to. Not a fan, but it's not a deal breaker...I like all tofu

Terrible service. Called I'm for a take out order. They got my order completely wrong and gave me hibachi steak whdn i ordered tereaki steak. they also left out the salad and soup. Then they refused to fix my meal after i drove back up there and just gave me the salad. After making me drive across town twice to be disrespected and not caring if the customer was happy. I will not be going back here.

Not the worst Japanese food I've ever had but not bad. Canned pineapple on the Bento boxes and canned ginger for the sushi. Teriyaki beef lacked flavor. Servers were friendly and attentive.

Very good food. The Sushi was good, the Hibachi filet was cooked a little more than I asked for; but still very tasty and tender. The vegetables were also very good. Really a surprise for Tullahoma I think.

Had fried fish and had I paid attention that it'd be sweet sauce, I wouldn't have ordered it. It was very crispy and good though.

This is such a nice addition to the food fare in Tullahoma. Located on the Strip, this is one of the best restaurants in town. We have been there twice and have been satisfied both times. Their bento boxes are good enough to fill you up and a friend. Their miso soup is awesome. Their bento boxes taste good. Their sushi is great. The only thing that I have a gripe is that their sushi menu is so limited. So is their menu. Very sparse but they seem to be done well. If you want some Japanese cuisine, Yamato is the place to go. If you want more sushi options, Yukihana might be up your alley. But with Yamato's price half of Yukihana's I will keep on coming to Yamato more. Their food is very comparable to Yukihana.
