Kudos for a fastly prepared meal, but not impressed at all. Will not be returning. I had fish tacos and the creamy sauce and cabbage tipping was drenched in mayo and missing the vinegar. But the fish tastes old and just wasn't appetizing. As for my husband's meal, he ate the meal but doesn't typically eat rice, so when the waiter came to take his place he rudely proceeding to ask "you're not gonna eat the rest" referring to the rice and ample portion of lettuce and gauc. It was just really unconformtable and weird. Definately needs to learn some manner and waiter skills. This place must be really busy usually because we counted 13 waiters and waitresses just sitting around in booths. It was dead at 430 pm when we were there.

Food is typical tex mex, but done well. It is usually quick, restaurant is clean and well managed, and the service is good. This is a wonderful lunch stop. The patio is great as well.

This place used to be absolutely AMAZING until they moved locations the food got worse as well as the service. Now every time I've gone by my food is served cold and unimpressive. Will not be returning and I do not recommend it to anyone.

We are opening up a new store in this shopping center and decided to give this Mexican restaurant a shot. We'll start with the building. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Clean, we'll taken care of, and a great atmosphere. Not overly loud or bright like some other restaurants. I had the flautas and my buddy the chicken nachos. Lunch specials are incredibly affordable and are quite large for the price. Both were excellent and the guacamole is hands down the best in middle Tennessee. I'm a gauc connoisseur .... and pleasing me isn't easy. The guac was outstanding. I tend to judge mex restaurants on this. Overall the best Mexican restaurant in middle tn. Wish it wasn't up in a small town like springfield and that there were more restaurants like this near downtown. O well, will just have to make the trip up here! 5 stars all the way!

My favorite Mexican place in Robertson County! Affordable, high quality food and great margaritas! Great place to bring friends and hang out with a pitcher of margaritas on the patio. 4 stars!

Just had a really good meal with 7 of my family. My wife and I are here from California, and some of the family suggested it. , The building is beautiful as you drive up. Good sign. Walk in and quickly seated. Good sign. Big menu, a lot of variety... good sign. Ordered a Margarita, tried it and it was great. good sign. Each of the 8 of us had something different; taco plate, taco salad, enchallada plate, and I forgot what else. Well, to but it plain; there was nothing left on our plates when we finished, it was great. Another great sign. Service was fantastic. Roberto (Junior) took care of us and didn't even falter one time and brought the extra margaritas... YUMMM!!! Could not have asked for anything any better or any faster. WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!. I don;t understand the one, two or three stars....REALLY?????????????? Anyway, congrats on the Staff and Junior....well done.

Being from central California, we were making sales calls in the county and happened to be in this town and felt the need for good Mexican food. We were informed by the locals that this restaurant was very good. So we stopped in and were NOT disappointed. The meal was delicious and felt we were at "home". The ambiance was very nice. We arrived around 11:30 AM and by 12 noon, the place had almost filled up! Thank you, Springfield for recommending this restaurant!

Many times, I've felt rushed from the servers. This time, they left the tails on the shrimp. The chicken was a bit dry too.

Worst service I've ever received. Took my daughter there yesterday. We waited about 5 minutes before I finally flagged down someone who wasn't even my waiter to bring us drinks. My order was wrong - rice in my burrito instead of a side of rice - and the waiter never checked on us - NEVER. i finally flagged him down when we were finished eating and asked for the check...that took him another 5 minutes. as i was paying at the front, the guy on the cash register asked me how it was. my waiter was standing right there, but by this point i was pissed and couldn't care less about his feelings, so i told the man the truth. the service was horrible. then i looked at my waiter and said "you know, i usually tip very well because i have a lot of friends in this industry...but today, i'm not leaving anything." i have never had such crappy service, and have never just not left a tip. will never go back to this place again...i will stick to los agaves in white house, tn, which is where my daughter wanted to go to begin with.

El Molcajete is an excellent restaurant. The drinks are good and I especially like the Pollo Mexicano dish. Their beans are the best I've tasted!
