As close to authentic Salvadoran food as I have found outside of El Salvador! Owners are Salvadoran and make pupusas by hand, from scratch when you order them, so they're fresh, fresh, fresh! The interior of the shop reminds me of many I have been to in El Salvador with Central American charm!

Pulled Pork, Sliced Beef Brisket, Greens and Slaw! OK, so we've been through this before.... I love, crave, seek and delight in BBQ whenever and wherever I have the chance. There's ALWAYS room for BBQ in my stomach, especially when it comes to Willie Mae's When I was first introduced, (I have to be honest) I was a bit skeptical. After being advised to leave my leather jacket in the car due to the overwhelming bath of hickory, I braved the smell....and oh was it a great one! The smell in this joint made we want to start my own backyard campfire. Onto the Q... As Willie Mae's does not offer a 2-meat platter, I had to opt for two 1lb orders of meat. Ummmm......twist my arm! And the photo above shows both the Pulled Pork and Sliced Beef Brisket with Green Beans and Slaw. The Pulled Pork was great, very tender, very juicy and didn't skip a beat; truthfully, it held it's own up to KC and Memphis. Now, the Brisket is a different story! As I've consumed mass amounts of BBQ over the years, I was delighted to share with the owners that Willie Mae's has the BEST BRISKET, EVER!!! Between the juiciness, the smokiness and the tenderness, it's absolute melt-in-your-mouth party. Once you add in a bit of their spicy BBQ sauce, you'll see heaven! The ambiance is great as this joint offers that old-school, small-town atmosphere. It's extremely clean and yes, it is full of a smokiness in the air. Be careful, as you'll be accused of hanging by the bonfire once you walk out of this joint! Props to Willie Mae's. DEFINITELY in my Top 5 of Favorite Joints!
I can say, without a doubt, WIllie Mae's served the best pulled pork I've eaten in my life. I don't often get the chance to have great BBQ, and now Willie Mae's has spoiled me terribly.
Try the brisquet which is a huge portion. Served with Texas toast and creamy hot mac and cheese. The smoker is professional grade and is right in the front of the restaurant. Be prepared to smell the hickory smoked wood while enjoy the sumptuous goodness. Your welcome.

Decent Japanese food, glad to have them in Springfield. Great portion sizes. However the service ALWAYS SUCKS!!!!!
It is so nice to have decent sushi in Springfield. The fish is fresh and the specials are tasty. What's more, the lunch specials are a very good value. I plan on eating here often. The staff is friendly, but not very knowledgeable about the sushi. But then again, this is a country town. Most 8-piece sushi rolls are $4 to $5, with special rolls weighing in at $8 to $9.
Greg's Review for Korean tastes Hibachi dishes : Great... I like that much sweet taste. General taste of hibachi in other japanese restaurant tend to be too sweet but this restaurant is perfect for korean taste. Sushi : good Side dishes : good and fresh There are many tables over 15. Good ambiance, friendly staff, but a miss on the food. The dates were good. Salads were too small and drenched in dressing. I mean drenched, soaking in a pool of dressing. And they were supposed to be spinach salads but were romaine. The grits were not cooked well and were grainy. Sweet tea- sub par for the south. I hate to write bad reviews but I'd like to help the place improve.
We live in Springfield and are excited to have a true farm to table restaurant in Springfield. Whitney Lee was great and the service and food was fantastic. The appetizers all the way to desserts was great. Hope this place stays around for a long time. Have to try the truffle Mac and cheese.
My husband and I found this place through Yelp. We went in for their brunch on Sunday. I had the Crab Cake Benedict and my husband had the Salmon Benedict. It was amazing. We also had the Pumpkin Truffle appetizer which was really good too. This place is small and quaint. It is a nice great quality restaurant on main. I highly recommend it!! Don't let the fancy wording on the menu scare you off. It's well worth the time and money to eat there. We asked for recommendations on the menu and the server didn't steer us wrong.

First time visiting Tennessee, and our host took us to this place on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. For a party of 7, we waited about 30 minutes. Not too bad. Really loved the fried okra -- like really loved it. The vinegary coleslaw was also good. I ordered the blackened cajun catfish, and my buddy who ordered the lemon herb catfish said mine was better. Will definitely hit up this place again if I'm ever back in the area.
The sides are what makes this place so good. Yummy hush puppies that had just the right amount of onion to cut through the crispy corn meal. The fried okra was crispy and not at all soggy in the middle. The vinegar based coleslaw was a bit tart for my taste and the white beans were just ok. I was full before I even got my meal! I ordered 2 catfish fillets with a side of turnip greens. The catfish was fresh and lightly breaded with corn meal. The turnip greens were well turnip greens. A bit bitter with a hint of pork from the bacon it was stewed with. I had to give it a try being from the great white north. At $28 for two of us it was a really good deal! I'll be back for more next time.
My boyfriend and I drive in from Nashville to eat here all the time. The drive is about 45 minutes with no traffic, so that should tell you how much we love this place! He usually gets the all you can eat catfish, and I usually get the 2 whole catfish dinner with fries. Our most recent visit was yesterday, and it was AWESOME (as usual)! The place was packed, but since it's a pretty big restaurant, the wait was not long at all. Our hostess was nice and our server was even nicer, very friendly, and attentitive. I love the sides (hushpuppies and okra on endless refill)! Today was my first time having dessert. Tried the cheesecake with blueberry topping. The portion size for the dessert was a bit small, but it was really good! This is definitely one of our favorite places to eat!

Great restaurant in Springfield. Don't care for their Italian (I'm from NY, the land of Italian restaurants) but their Greek and steaks are great. The pork souvlaki is awesome - my favorite. The hummus plate and shrimp cocktail is great as well - that is our bar favorite. And speaking of bar, they have an awesome full service bar with a great bartender (Russell).
I will start by saying that I just signed up for Yelp, the last time I ate at Torino's was about a year ago. I'm not from the area but I love this place so I had to write a review. I worked in Springfield for about a month and I made sure to visit Torino's once a week minimum for lunch and once a week for dinner. I even drove from Clarksville once to eat here. I think it's that good. I honestly can not tell you whether the Italian or the steak is better. I tried every items on their Italian menu and it was all really good. I travel a lot and eat at a lot of places, there is a reason I'm going out of my way to write this review. Kitchen Sink pizza -- Loads of toppings on an excellently cooked crust, just good pizza. Lasagna - This comes out in a very hot casserole dish straight out of the oven. This is probably my favorite Italian item on the menu. They cover it in a layer of melted cheese that is to die for. Veal parmesan is another go to dish for me. STEAKS!!! While the Italian is very reasonably priced, the steaks are pricey but once you start eating it you will understand why. This is not cheap meat, very select choice. It will melt in your mouth. I've had the filet, ribeye, and the porterhouse. They are all very good relative to their cut. I will say that if you plan to get the porterhouse then DON'T eat lunch. You will want to save your money but you will also want to save the space in your stomach because this thing is massive. Less important, the barkeeps were very knowledgable and professional, especially for Springfield, TN. Torino's will always have a sweet spot in my heart.
Someone needs to remove the word italian from the sign.....its greek southern fusion food for people who dont know any better. Everything on the menu has hints of greek food since its truly greek people that own it. The red sauce is way to salty and made with the wrong tomatoes, the dishes have no balance, AND IT DISTURBS ME THAT PEOPLE THINK ITS ITALIAN FOOD
