i've never been inside, but the drive through for this starbucks is quick!!! love it. the baristas are always super friendly here. I will sometimes venture from the union one to this one, even though its way further, just because it's way quicker and friendlier.

Friendly and fast before 630 AM. Pretty much the standard of a Starbucks, but a pinch better in only so much as the service was great.

Terrible service, terrible employees, terrible management. They butchered my order then argued w/ me when I politely asked them to fix it AFTER I HAD ALREADY TIPPED!! Avoid this place at all costs! It's also in an awful location.

I like this Starbucks location. The inside seating is plentiful and conducive to getting work done. Clean. Most of the baristas are friendly and helpful. The parking lot is terribly small and awkward. I frequent this place and have the same drink mostly every time. I'm starting to explore other locations though. When a barista perfectly understands what I want but doesn't want to do it, why do I want to come back to this Starbucks? It's not even a complicated beverage with espresso or blending. Creamer + Mocha + coffee. I often get told I can put my own creamer in. Usually if I ask twice it isn't a problem. Picky? Maybe. I have my reasons. But isn't that what Starbucks is about? I can get my drink made exactly the way I like it and pay a little extra for it. It's also distracting that a certain patron frequents this location (in addition to random homeless people). Very friendly gentleman but he comes in and makes his rounds trying to talk religion with other patrons who just want to do their work. Many people are not religious and don't feel comfortable with a complete stranger trying to change their point of view while they drink their coffee at Starbucks. They do kick the homeless people out that come in and ask you for money. I'm all for socializing and making new friends, but I come here to isolate myself and work.

I'll just get the bad stuff out of the way: If you're at all familiar with Memphis traffic, you'll know this location is at a very busy intersection (Poplar @ White Station). There's no drive through - there's no room for one, plus it'd make it even more insane. But frankly? If you're dealing with Poplar traffic anyway, you'll probably not find it too much of a hassle to get in and out of here. It's at a light, so there's a right way and plenty of wrong ways to enter and exit. The service is always great. The employees are friendly. I've never had any issues with a drink being made wrong or anything. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside. The place looks small, but it's deceptively small, I guess you could say. Once you're inside, there's almost as much seating as there is at some regular-sized Starbucks I've been to in Memphis. Plus, since there's no drive through, you're getting more of the baristas' attention. They don't have 50 cars queuing up, buzzing in their ears, all that. Unless they have a line out the door behind you, you know you're the only person they're waiting on and as a result get a little bit better service. It's no one's fault, just if there's only one barista making drinks for the people in the lobby and the drive through, sometimes you have to wait longer in those situations. That's obviously not the case here.

this is the best Starbucks around town. It is the only one is Memphis without a drive thru (besides the franchise locations-macys, target, the hilton) which means you always get a more personal experience. With that said...the parking lot is difficult but I know it isn't the employees fault.

Friendly and courteous staff. Place is so, so, so tiny though. If you come at the wrong time, the line will be backed up so far, you'll nearly be out of the door.
