Totally agree with the other Yelpers, 100% a Mediterranean subway. Perfectly located, very clean and the employees were really nice and fast. We tried the falafel and gyro pita sandwiches. The falafel was a teeny bit oily, but flavorful, crunchy and hit the spot. The hummus and tzatziki were pretty good for a fast food place and the veggies were fresh. Husband is a gyro expert and he said he would eat it again, so thats a win. Also the portion is pretty large, could only eat half of my sandwich, definitely a good value. Obviously not the best falafel or gyro around, but skip your usual Subway/Panera/Lennys and come here!

This place is like subway but with pitas and a lot nicer toppings for your food. The place is pretty spacious which is pretty awesome. They have the coca cola machine that has different varies of soft drinks which I like the dasani flavors. I wish there was one closer by to me like maybe bartlett or raleight but I guess I will have to drink to get good stuff.

The employees here are GREAT! On each occasion when I visited, they made suggestions on my order. They also made sure I knew about their rewards program. The food here is delicious. I had a pita that included steak eggs and hashbrowns. Breakfast for dinner? Yes please! My husband had something different, his was also tasty. In short, the food is good and the employees are nice, so stop by.

Great place to eat and friendly staff. I love the spicy black bean patty and the price is right

I was really surprised how good this place was! It's like subway, sort of. You pick what sandwich you want, they throw the meat on the grill and heat it up and kind of chop it all together like steak escape does While your meat is cooking you fill your pita with the veggies, cheese, and sauces you want. The pitas are really big, IMO. Use the check in offer though, it is a bit pricey for just a sandwich.. Veggies are unlimited but I guess since I got two meats- turkey and bacon, the price of my pita was like $9.50....... Which is kind of pricey considering I didn't even get chips and a drink with it. But, I'll be back. I liked it

I like the friendly faces, nice attitude and cleanliness of the floors! The food was good too. I tried the falafal pita which was very filling and the pita's are very thin and the calorie count said on 410 calories. I like that! The pita is about 8 inches long and you can add whatever you want from the fresh selections. And they have two fresh selections areas. But only four stars because some of the veggies had a slight CAN/Metal taste and that took away from the experience.

The mere fact that you can add hummus and avocado to your pita with no additional charge is a huge plus by itself. Think Subway or Pyro's Pizza concept -in that you they build your custom pita in front of you. The quality is obviously better than Subway, and you get more meat (not hard to do when comparing anything to Subway). The price is also reasonable. You can also sign up for their rewards card -another big bonus if you're a fan of these programs. Given the limited options that exist for fairly healthy fast food in the Memphis area, I'll definitely be back here.

I like the food until one day I saw something so disgusting it made me stop the employee from making my pita and get my money back. I was telling the lady what I wanted in my pita when it came to the sauce part she pounded the container to make the mayo come down and when it did some got on the table instead of cleaning it up with a paper towl or something she takes her finger wipes it up and re wipes it on my pita bread WTF! why would YOU do that to someones food right infront of them like it normal. Thats so nasty and I never returned! Yuck!

This might be the greatest restaurant in Memphis based on some folks' reviews. However, today I went in there for the first time ever; ordered a gyro pita; was told "sorry, we're out of gyro meat"; and I walked outta there without ordering anything. Everything else on their menu can be ordered down the street at Subway so why would I want to go here? If they run out of gyro ingredients, perhaps they should call it a day.... My recommendation: if you want a gyro pita from this place, call ahead and verify availability; otherwise go elsewhere.

Pita Pit is an often slept on fast-food chain that I've grown enjoy over the years, and I was happy to see that they had one in Memphis. As far as fast-food wraps/ subs/ etc. go, I prefer Pita Pit to Subway, Lenny's, or any other similar place. The stafff here is very friendly, and everything is clean and tastes fresh. It's a nice bonus that they do delivery or takeout, all of which can be ordered online while you fully customize your order. My personal favorite are there breakfast pitas (especially their Meat the Day), with their Ancho Chipotle sauce. Compared to similar breakfast wraps at McDonald's and Subway, this tastes far better than anything I've had from them.

I recently tried Pita Pit's food at a catered event. Love the Mediterranean flavors and the food was super fresh. Because of this, I decided to give them a try at their new store this weekend. Pita Pit is the kind of place I might not normally venture into, as the sign looks generic and it appears to have a chain vibe (which apparently it is! go figure!). When I visited this weekend the staff was VERY nice and there were many options - variety of pitas and other treats like hummus and falafel. All pita's can be ordered as "fork it" where it's essentially a salad with the same meat. This is what I did - I ordered the falafel fork it. The falafel was decent...not the best but good. The veggies were also fresh - many options to add to your salad (peppers, cucumbers, mushrooms, cheeses, etc.). I was, however, disappointed in the size. I felt like for the $7 I paid for the salad it was pretty small. Aside from this I do like this place - it's clean, they're friendly, and the food is fresh and flavorful. I will give this place another shot sometime and order an actual pita to see if that is of better value. Extra bonus - they also serve smoothies here!

What is Pita Pit? Think Subway but with pita instead of sandwich bread. They certainly didn't reinvent the sandwich, even though they kinda acted like they did when explaining their menu. The staff is friendly, but they are a relatively new restaurant in Memphis. Give 'em six months. I ordered the falafel pita, and it was good. But the service was a little slow. The ingredients tasted fresh, and I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it as much as I did. But for me, the downside were the prices. Nearly $7 bucks for a sandwich that I would pay $4 at a similar restaurant like Subways was a little bit of "sticker shock." But I guess we're paying for it's prime location on Union Avenue, and those expensive franchise fees.

Great food and great service and great deals. The meat and vegetables are always extremely fresh. The servers/pita makers are always friendly and accommodating. They are also very generous with great coupons. This has become my favorite for lunch in Mid-town.
