I hate that I waited so long to try this place since moving to Memphis. I have heard good things about it from multiple people. I will say that I do love Chicago style pizza, however I did love this thin crust. I had the bbq pizza and it was awesome. My wife does not eat meat so she scraped some of the meat off and took a bite and she said she wanted to order it next time without the meat. The Grizz game was on while we were eating so you can never go wrong with having a beer, eating pizza, AND watching the Grizz win.

I finally figured out that I have been to Memphis Pizza Cafe months later, after being told by the Honey Bunny (fiancee). MPC is the first pizza place I've been to in Memphis, and sorry to say, I'm not impressed. After hearing rave reviews about MPC and wanting to try it, then learning that MPC was the "terrible pizza place" that the Honey Bunny and I frequented along with her future med school classmates, I was severely puzzled and disappointed. My #1 type of pizza is a New York style pizza, but I like all styles of pizza, from Chicago style pizza to thin crust pizza. MPC has a thinner type of pizza; it's not totally thin crust but not New York style pizza either. I remember that the crust was okay. The cheese wasn't horrible, but it may only have been a small step above the cheese on a frozen pizza. I really don't remember the sauce too much. Holistically I remember the pizza as just being barely okay, but it definitely left a lot to be desired. Honestly, I'd probably rather have Papa John's or Domino's pizza. I'm extremely puzzled as to why people rave about this place. They do have a sweet picture of Patrick Swayze on the wall though, so those are a few points right there. The beers were relatively cheap as well, so I guess that's a plus too. All in all it's really a mediocre pizza place with cheap beer. Look elsewhere if you're looking for good pizza.

Best Pizza in Memphis!! We go for lunch almost once a week. I love the Ultimate Cheese.

Great pizza. Good happy hour prices and they have Ghost River on draft. My favorite place to grab some pizza.

MPC is my favorite pizza joint in Memphis, and I like the original location better - perhaps because it reminds me of the pizza and beer joints from my youth. Great pizzas. Service is good and you get good value for your money. Service is good.

Last time I ate there the waitress took my plate away then asked me was I finished (busy lunchtime). Today I called in my order for take out. I gave them 10 extra minutes when I got there they had no idea what I was talking about, stared at me like a tree full of owls and made no effort to rectify the problem. I love their food but their service is horrible. Guess thats what you get from a bunch of kids without leadership. I have never seen anyone over 25 working there. There were only five customers when I went to pick up my order today so it could not have been too hard for 7 employees to get an order. I called Mellow Mushroom and was back on my way in 15 minutes.

Yum. I almost always get a slice of the Alternative and a slice of the Veggie. Yum. I can't make up my mind which one I like the best, so I get a slice of each, if I'm really hungry. If I'm not too hungry, I get one slice and a half salad. On my most recent experience there, it was a nice day, so my friend and I sat outside, on the covered patio. It's non smoking, yet someone lit up! However, a server rushed outside to catch the smokers, so thank you staff person! I love the thin, crispy crust. I'm not a fan of thick, chewy or doughy crusts. The food is tasty and inexpensive. The service is friendly. I think it depends on what's going on in the kitchen since sometimes food comes out quickly and sometimes not. I recommend telling the server that you're in a hurry if you are wanting to get in and out in under and hour. It's not fancy, but the food is good. I'd rather pay for good food in a clean place with friendly service than a place where the money goes into the decor and not the food.

Menphis Pizza Cafe has some of the best pizza! My first time here was years ago, and when I first discovered this place I was eating here like once a week. It was my day at work among the group I eat with for lunch to pick where we will go for our Friday outing. Since Ihaven't been here in about a year I thought it would be good to go. Did I pick correctly or what?!?! Yessssssssssss!! It was lunch time therefore busy but as soon as we sat down we were serviced. It took about 15-20 minutes for food to come out. One of the greatest things about this place is that you buy by the slice! I ordered two slices of pizza (ultimate cheese and bbq chicken..btw my favorites)! Writing this review makes me want it all over again. I would recommend this place to all!

Definitely my favorite pizza in this city! I think pizza style is pretty polarizing, so this place is for thin crust lovers especially! They have incredible sandwiches and salads (love their Italian dressing). I love the Ultimate Cheese, Alternative, and Cajun Chicken Supreme pizzas! Great staff, very affordable. This is a Memphian's pizza joint.

This is casual dining pizza style at its finest. Seat yourself. Grab a menu on blue paper on the table and see what you want. The veggie supreme pizza is the best I've tasted anywhere in town. 4 big screen TVs show all the sports. The service is down home and casual. The negatives here are that the service is a bit slow though nothing horrible. You'll have time to look the menu over and make a decision before they make it to your table though unless it's not busy. The dinner salad leaves a lot to be desired. It comes with ONLY lettuce, tomatoes and croutons so make sure to add on anything else that makes up your salad. Otherwise, the pizza is FINE. It's cheesy, tasty and they don't skimp on the toppings or center-load he pie so that you'd get all the toppings in the first bite. If not for that not-really-a-salad salad, Memphis Pizza Cafe would get 5 stars from me. Great job!

  • Jackie M.

I would give Memphis Pizza Cafe on Park 3.5 stars. We do different local Memphis pizza places every Friday night. They don't have the nicest inside, but it's great for kids and after sports eating. We take our pizza togo. We usually get this pizza when we are in the mood for extremely thin crust. I also like the Hawaiian salad with ranch.

  • Brittney H.

Not a HUGE fan of their pizza, but it doesn't disappoint. I can't complain because their service is always really good. Get the alternative pizza!

  • Ashley W.

I need to be able to give more stars!. I've been coming here since I moved to the street behind them which is almost 6 years! Every weekend night during the summer, the smells just move over here and I can't resist. I love this place. Will forever come here. They also gave me and my son a large pizza one time for a nice review!. They will forever get my money and wanting to eat there!! I also was never big on thin crust but this has changed me! They have a blt pizza it's awesome! The no sauces pizzas are to!!

This place is one of my favorite pizza joints in Memphis. I usually come here for take-out and have never been disappointed with their pizzas. I've dined in a couple times, but it's usually very crowded with kids and families and understandably gets pretty loud (not my thing), which is why I always opt for take-out. However, I should mention that it is always cheaper to dine in than to take-out. I always get their Veggie Supreme pizza with the same extra 2 toppings on it, and there's nearly a 5$ difference between dining in and just picking it up, which I always thought was weird. Their pizza crust is very thin which I really like. The people that work there are also wonderful. Yesterday, I came by to pick up my pizza and the guy at the register told me he thought the extra topping I asked for was not generously applied so he simply did not want to charge me for it! I thought that was really cool of him.

Pizzas are great for carb conscious. Thin crust is hard to find on this town. Service is top notch and really good menu. Ranch is sooooo good!

I use to really like this place. Over the last year it just doesn't seem as good. I have had a couple of pizzas that were over cooked. The place could also use a good cleaning.

  • Justin B.

Maybe I need to give this place another try (or another location) since I hear so many rave about it (and should I do so I will update my review), but for all the hype I was thoroughly unimpressed. The service was below average; not very attentive or friendly and seemed like it was mostly teenagers or college kids. The pizza itself was pretty underwhelming. I've had better chain pizza than this. Of course, that's my opinion. Maybe I just tried the wrong location or the wrong pizza. However, you can get great pizza in Memphis if you go to the right places, and this place just isn't cutting it for me.

Memphis Pizza Cafe is the best place for pizza and calzones. The Buffalo Chicken pizza is the best! The Cajun Chicken calzone is my favorite! The staff is very friendly. The patio is plain, but the food makes up for it. No complaints!

    (5)
  • Amanda G.

The calzone is amazing. It is huge. I always get extra sauce, which is not expensive. I like it as a plain calzone, even though I typically would add a lot of toppings. However, my favorite location is the Midtown MPC.

    (4)
  • Blake B.

one of my favorite local pizza places -- now, granted that it's close to my house... certainly preferable to the two chain pizza places across the street -- everything is good, this locations is more family friendly than the midtown location, more of your typical east memphis crowd.... don't forget the funky modern art sculpture in the parking lot for the cosmorama i like spicy and their pizza is just right ---

Had the best Italian sub sandwich at Memphis pizza. Would definitely eat it over and over.

Memphis pizza cafe is delicious, but beyond that their service is second to none. Tonight when we ordered pizza to go they got the order wrong (it was extremely busy, these things happen.) We didn't realize till we got home. I can eat anything, she however is very picky. When I called up and told them about the mix up, the manager Chad immediately offered to replace it at no additional charge and was incredibly friendly about it. We will continue to be loyal customers here.

My boyfriend and I have two main places we go to for pizza: for a thicker crust, we go to his family's longtime favorite, Garibaldi's, and for those thin crust cravings, we stick to Memphis Pizza Cafe. Also, to be honest, a lot of the decision is based on whether we want BBQ chicken pizza (Memphis Pizza Cafe) or anything else (Garibaldi's). I've had a few different kinds of pizza from Memphis Pizza Cafe, but what I love the most is their BBQ pizza. They don't mess around with mixing BBQ sauce with tomato sauce (a combination I find to be a bit gross) and they shred their chicken instead of cooking it up in chunks, which are two hugely important things to me. They start with a tasty BBQ sauce base, topped with one or two kinds of cheeses and perfectly seasoned, shredded chicken and it makes for a delicious pizza. The flavors are spot on and the crust is light and crunchy. The pizzas don't seem to have that same "gooey cheese" factor that other restaurant pizzas do, which can make them a little dry sometimes (but certainly helps cut back on the greasiness factor), but all in all, they make a pretty solid thin crust pizza. I've also tried a few of their calzones, which are super cheesy and tasty, and I've had their house salad, which is just a basic iceberg lettuce-with-some-carrot-and-a-piece-of-spinach kind of thing. The restaurant is in a great location, but the space itself is a little lackluster. The inside is a bit grubby and quite casual, but the staff is really friendly, service is quick, and parking is pretty easy. We often do carry out, which is usually pretty quick, and the guys at the counter are always nice. All in all, if you're looking for a tasty thin crust pizza, give it a shot, especially if you've got a hankering for BBQ pizza.

Great pizza, $10ish less than Mellow Mushroom so it's a great deal. Staff was nice. Kind of a dive kinda place - little grimy - hole in the wall. I love it and come often. The atmosphere is chill but not at all edgy. The smells coming from the kitchen will definitely pull you in.

  • Kristen S.

I don't know what yall are talking about, but this pizza is TERRIBLE!!! I've read reviews about other Memphis pizza and the consensus seems to be it's all pretty forgettable but this extra cheese pizza was so gross my boyfriend and I were concerned perhaps it had gone bad. The crust/dough had a very unpleasant after-taste and the cheese had a gritty texture that made the whole pie inedible. I would never go back.

  • Kristi I.

I loved the thin, crispy crust of the Hawaiian pizza we ordered. I'm not a big fan of their sauce. It's a little too sweet and bland for my taste. My younger kuds didn't care much for it either. My daughter did enjoy her side of mestballs and sauce. I'd go vack, but not with the kiddos.

Where are these people getting their palates from ? I ordered a chef Salad that had canned mushrooms in it. Their Pizza pretty tasteless. I could have made a better Chef Boyardee Pizza in my kitchen. I guess if you're craving pizza it could do the trick ?!

  • Kyla W.

I love Memphis Pizza Cafe, the Veggie pizza with added chicken is the BEST! Great atmosphere, great prices and not a long wait! The crust is thin and crispy, if you're looking for deep dish, this isn't your place. They have a monthly special that varies and although their menu is small it is mighty! I prefer the East Memphis location, it is often busier but I think it tastes better.

    (4)
  • Kristen M.

Pizza and price make it worth it! I wouldn't say it's the best pizza I've ever had, but it's pretty good! I really like the variety they have like, ultimate cheese, buffalo chicken, and my favorite garlic chicken! Each slice is about 3 dollars and so are the beers. It's a good place to go with friends to grab a beer and a slice of pizza.

  • Joy S.

This pizza place is just OK. I have a problem with the cleanliness. I just left there and there was hair in my salad, half of the lettuce was brown and the mushrooms were out of a can! Who does that??? I saw only 2 people with caps on out of the 10 people that were working in the kitchen. Hair is just a flyin'

I'm not gonna say this is the best pizza in the world, I realize people have different preferences in crust. For me I love this crust, it is an amazing thin crust, with great flavor, very much like a cracker. If you don't like that type of crust then I suppose this place is not for you, or else you can get a salad, a cold one and a very very delicious meatball sub, or any other sub. The ingredients... everyone I think knows it's canned/frozen or whatever. Which I think is also why I give them 5 stars, they make it taste really good even with ingredients that aren't the freshest. But that's the same for other chain restaurants. This at least comes out extremely fast and hot, great fork pizza even if its thin crust (which is how I eat it sometimes) Anyway, service is pretty good, friendly, other people probably just came on a bad day or something? They have a pretty good selection of beers. All in all a good night out.

MPC is one of my favorite pizza spots in Memphis. I've eaten at this location and the midtown location. If you're going to get a calzone, I recommend this location. Their calzones are tasty! They're obviously made very fresh and are very filling. If you can eat the whole thing, I'll be impressed. If you like thin, crispy, crust pizza this place is for you. If you don't... Try a calzone or a sandwich. Being a thin crust fan this pizza is easily in my top 3. Service is constantly on top of things. Friendly. Quick. Attentive. Friday night? COME EARLY. You'll have to wait. They don't take reservations or call ahead seating, so send someone ahead. Delicious. Fresh. Local. Eat here.

  • Zeb M.

My friends and I dropped by this place for a bite to eat before my trip to Memphis was up, and it was really nothing memorable. I'm a pizza snob and ended up getting a calzone, which I'm glad I did because everyone else's pizza were on too-thin crust. Like cracker crust. Just plain crackers. I had a bite of my girlfriend's and it was fine, but I didn't love it. In short, the staff and service were good, but you might find better pizza in Memphis unless you like REALLY thin crust.

  • Nigel T.

Pizza means different things to different people. If you are still living in the 80's and believe that Pizza Hut and Dominos are the standard, you might think that this place is "neat". But if you appreciate a simple NY slice, or a brick oven thin crust at a high end Italian joint, this place is on par with what I imagine Digorno's tastes like. The Italian sub is serviceable, but the pizza is dire. In fact, my toddler --who loves to eat, wouldn't swallow the stuff.

Every time I visit Memphis, it is a must that I stop by the Memphis Pizza Café. They've several locations in the city, but I prefer the location on Park Avenue in East Memphis. The café Supreme is my favorite pie: we're talkin' a thin crust topped with mozzarella, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, beef, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, and onions. Nom! Pair it with a local brew from Ghost River or a bottle of Texas's finest Shiner Bock and you're about to have one hell of a party in your mouth. Memphis Pizza Café also boasts an impressive selection of salads and sandwiches. Try the chef's salad or the blackened chicken sandwich if you're looking for an alternative to MPC's usual fare. The staff is seemingly comprised of University of Memphis seniors; they're a rowdy, frat-house bunch and they're a whole lot of fun. Make sure to tip these guys when you see them. It's unfortunate that I'm only able to hit up Memphis Pizza Café once a year (or twice, if I'm lucky). It's a great establishment with a killer vibe, awesome staff, and the best pizza in Memphis.

I attended here once before. In a weak moment I brought my daughter the other night. Has it improved since my former review - no. Cleaner?- no, pizza better? - no, service? - miserable. Why did 3 tables seated after me have someone come by before my table? How many times do I need to flag my person down to get a drink? get assistance? get a bill? nuts. Don't go here. I will no longer

This time I ate Memphis Pizza Cafe, it was take-out, so I cannot comment on service. However, from my past experiences, the service seems to always be pretty solid (taking into consideration how long it takes to cook a pizza). I also love the laid back atmosphere of the restaurants. It's very homey and comfortable. I usually order the exact same thing every time I go, a side salad with Ranch dressing (they have great Ranch), and one or two slices (depending on how hungry I am) on Ultimate Cheese pizza, add spinach, tomato, and cajun chicken. This is the ultimate slice of pizza. With years of experience and trial-and-error under my belt, I finally found the perfect slice of pizza at Pizza Cafe. This is it. However, this time I was sharing with the masses, so I did not get to order what I want. We ordered a meat lovers and a BBQ Chicken pizza. I prefer either no meat or only chicken on my pizza, so I opted to eat the latter. The BBQ Chicken pizza was great. It wasn't my typical order, but I have never had anything bad at Memphis Pizza Cafe. If I had to compromise again, I would opt for this. I love their thin crusts. They are always perfectly crispy, with the right amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Memphis Pizza Cafe, in my opinion, is the best pizza joint in Memphis. I know many that agree with me. In fact, I have only ever talked to one person who didn't care for this place. I also discredit her opinion, as she is a New York-er with a pretentious taste in pizza. Nothing can satisfy her anyway. I have never had a bad experience at any location. Ever. If you ever have a craving for Memphis Pizza Cafe, I highly recommend trying this place out.

Hubby and I visited the famous and most raved about Memphis pizza cafe! We visited the park ave location on Sunday evening around 4:30 so it was not crowded and the atmosphere was nice. This was our first time but we had heard so much about how good the pizza was that we had to try it. We started off with the dinner salads with red wine vinegar dressing which was good but I especially loved that we could order a 1/2 order which was plenty and left room for our pizza. We ordered the large cheese pizza and added 4 toppings (green pepper, onion, mushroom and pepperoni). When the pizza came it was Hot! I mean steam rolling off the pizza Hot! This pizza was good. No doubt however I wouldn't go as far as saying it is the best pizza in Memphis (hubby agrees) but we are partial to russo's pizza. The thin crust makes MPCs' pizza really good. The crust was crisp and fresh. The ingredients tasted fresh and the pizza was not greasy -a big plus. The service was good and our waitress was very attentive we never had to ask for refills on our drinks. All in all we will go back again as it is a good place to eat before we grocery shop at fresh market.

Love MPC! I love thin crust pizza and am never disappointed when I order from here. Service is spotty at times, but the food never wavers. Consistent and delish whether dining in or taking out. Best sausage I have ever eaten from a pizza joint. Parking can be a little tough at times, but don't let that deter you.

Memphis Pizza Cafe is one of my favorite places to have lunch. The local chain is inexpensive, has a lot of menu options (but not too many), and it's remarkably consistent. The East Memphis location (on Park, between Mendenhall and White Station) is always completely packed around lunchtime, but the Midtown and Germantown locations are usually a bit more sane. Today, I had a slice of Ultimate Cheese (it has at least four different kinds of cheese on it) and one of Canadian Bacon (more commonly known as ham). The thin crust slices were big and super hot when they came to the table (but they came with a knife and fork, which was perfect). You should definitely make a stop at Memphis Pizza Cafe. It's great for groups and kids, and it's very affordable (my two slices and a coke worked out to about $7.)

If you like eating your vegetables, you will love Memphis Pizza Cafe's veggie pizza -- has broccoli, cherry tomato halves, spinach, plenty of olives plus the usual tomato sauce and cheese but not so much that it overwhelms the vegetables.

    (5)
  • Keenan S.

I keep Trying to like MPC, but the crust just doesn't do it for me. If you don't mind the cracker-crust, the pizza toppings are pretty much like you'd get elsewhere, but if you're looking for a lot of toppings or for something a little more remarkable than chain delivery pizza you might be disappointed. Don't get me wrong. The product is competent, the service is friendly (at least at the midtown location), it's just not going to bowl you over. For a town staple it's workable, but honestly there are better local pizzerias for better prices.

    (2)
  • Christine H.

This is the best local pizza CHAIN in Memphis. Pie in the Sky actually has better pizza if you're in the Cooper-Young area. Anyway, I lived in Memphis for two years and as a Chicagoan, I had a difficult time finding good local pizza (I get sick of national chains after awhile). They have some flavorful, creative and unique veggie pizzas. I love their sauce as well (I'm a big sauce fan). I also liked their thin crust. If you're a vegetarian stuck in Memphis (or you just are tired of barbecue), check this place out.

For pizza fans, this is a good staple to get a slice or whole pizza. It's pretty straight-forward stuff, we went during lunch on a weekend, when it was quiet, and enjoyed the place to ourselves. Pretty large interior, with a patio outside to sit and relax with friends, family, or yourself on a nice day. Several different toppings to choose from. The service was surprising slow, even though it was fairly empty, but the server was nice. May have taken longer because fewer people were on staff during the day. I'd give this place a try at night -- it looks busy and fun.

Overall a pretty good place to get a slice. The food is good, and this from a guy who grew up in NYC area. I love pizza and while theirs pales in comparison to the real deal, for Memphis it's damn good. I've had many a slice from there and they all are very tasty. The sandwiches and Calzone are also tops on my list there. It's kind of Spartan, but that does add to it's charm. A couple of things you'll want to remember are always give yourself extra time as service is slow. They are usually pretty full so just be prepared for it. This is not because the waitresses, but the kitchen. Oh and the waitresses are usually super-cute. Another thing to remember is to always make sure you leave with your debit card. Twice they forgot to give it back when I left. I would say it's one of my favorite pizza places in Memphis. If you're looking for real NY pizza go to Brooklyn. There are places in Memphis that promise NY style and yet have never met my expectations. Memphis Pizza Cafe promises good pizza in a chilled out environment with decent music. You get exactly that.

    (4)
  • Barrett R.

The pies are good. The draft is cold ($1 off during 4-6 p.m.). The service is fast. As long as there isn't a screaming child, you will have a good time. The hipsters spin some decent music, too.

  • Meredith C.

If you think this place is good, head to the doctor and get him to run a test for extra chromosomes. My biggest problem with this place is that they even call it pizza - it's nothing but too-sweet sauce and low grade cheese served on a giant cracker. The "Italian Sausages" are tiny balls of meat similar to what you'll find on one of the cheap, generic pizzas in your grocer's freezer, placed on sale because it's expired and nobody wants it - except not that good. The restaurant is dirty to boot, and is decorated with "awards" from the early 90s, which bolsters my argument that none of the tables have been cleaned since Desert Storm. There used to be a saying - "avoid it like the plague." It's since been changed to "avoid it like Memphis Pizza Cafe." If you're a NY style pizza fan, this place will invariably offend you to the core of your soul.

  • Sheila B.

The staff is super friendly and the restaurant smells good but I find the food to be just ok. I've tried a few pizzas, a calzone, and Greek salads. The salad is fine but has too much pepperoni which is odd for a Greek salad. And adding olives doesn't make it Greek. The pizza crust is thin & crisp, which is nice but the crust has no flavor. Perhaps a little olive oil or salt in the crust would turn it around. Toppings were fine and plentiful. The calzone tasted very floury, almost like they didn't bake it in the pizza oven. There is plenty of mozz in the filling but it could use more ricotta to make the filling more creamy. Overall it is a fine place but not food I will seek out when I crave pizza.

Love MPC! Don't sleep on the salads! Their house ranch is delish. I was a regular at MPC Collierville...came to this location the morn/day after my wedding for a bite before hitting the road. Great pizza.

If you like thin crust pizza, you will love Memphis Pizza Cafe. I grew up in Memphis so have been coming here since I was a kid. While there are other pizza places in Memphis I enjoy more, this is a good place to go if you appreciate thin crust pizza. I love the alternative pizza, in some places known as "margherita," a no-sauce pizza with mozzarella, basil, and sliced grape tomatoes, and the barbecue chicken pizza and 3-cheese pizza are favorites of mine as well. they serve a wide variety of pizzas and you also have the option to pay per ingredient. They also serve massive calzones, along with sandwiches and salads. They serve beer but do not have a full bar. I'm not sure if they have beer on tap. This is a great place to go for groups or with kids. I loved it as a kid and my 4 year old niece loves it now. It's definitely a good traditional Memphis spot. Lastly, I've found the staff here to be consistently helpful and friendly. I rate the East Memphis location a star ahead of the midtown one because while I've found some of the staff at the midtown location to be unfriendly or unhelpful, I've never had a problem at the Park avenue location. P.S. If you're a Tigers fan, I know this is a decent place to watch the game. I've been on a few occasions to find half the restaurant glued to the TV cheering on the Tigers.

Veggie Sandwich is out of this world. The bread is lightly toasted and a great accompaniment to a flavorful collection of veggies spilling out over the bread. You'll want a fork. Veggie Pizza is good too.

I was taken to dinner at Memphis Pizza on a recent business trip to the city. A friend of mine who lives in Memphis took me there with his family one evening. The pizza was great and the atmosphere was very laid back and casual. Our server was very friendly and we got our food really quickly. This particular location is in an old 1960's-style shopping center which created a fun nostalgic atmosphere. I recommend this place.

The best of the MPC's, yes the one on Madison is more convenient and bigger and the pizza's good at all of''em, but the service here is just a little better. I have a friend that swears by the 'alternative' pizza, I like the great supreme and the barbeque (hey IT IS Memphus!) Great sandwiches calazones & salads too! Get a pitcher of beer and leave a big tip, you're probably supporting an up-and-coming band w/o knowing it!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
