Went to jasmine with large group of 10 people and in general the Food was mediocre. The service was much worse than the food. Pad Thai Noodles have more onions than noodles. Some guests at our table just stopped by to socialize. Older lady waitress was rude and insulted the guests for not ordering threatening to charge $3 for just sitting and refused to give guests water. She was beyond rude. Will never come back. Bad service mediocre food. ***would give 0 stars if possible

This place was next door to my office, and we went at least once a week. I loved the veggie tofu noodle soup. This place also has the best spring rolls and the best hot and sour soup I've ever had anywhere, hands down. Be patient when you go, this place is literally run by only 2 people - a husband and wife who have been cooking Thai food in Memphis for over 25 years.

I've wanted to like this place since it is right in the neighborhood. I have been disappointed by both the service and the food. I went back hoping that the food would be better. It just isn't very good. Also, the floor is sticky and doesn't seem clean.

Decent place. Great place if there are vegetarians in your group, but probably not somewhere I'd go on my own. I went for dinner and enjoyed the food. The dish definitely wasn't as spicy as I expected (as in, I asked for medium and there was no spiciness). For dinner, it's also a bit on the pricey side. Might be a nice lunch spot though if there's a separate lunch menu with lunch prices.

The imagine restaurant around the corner was closed becase someone had to go have a baby and we were only passing through Memphis. My sister and I walked down the block and discovered this gem. We were the only people there and it was evident that the man serving us was the owner. He sat us, made our food, and served us. Also gave wonderful converstation. Do not leave here without getting the mango and sticky rice. Great family owned place, sweetest owner.

In a word: Delicious. I love, love LOVE their panang gai. I've tried to duplicate it at home and it always pales in comparison to Jasmine's version. Great, tasty food at reasonable prices. :)

This was some of the best Thai Food I have ever had . Did not expect that in Memphis. The service was also great and it was all affordable. This place was such a breath of fresh air after having nothing but barbque.I recommend the massamum curry medium spicy with the spring rolls. Also Memphis seems to be kind of scary but in this part of town you forget you are even in Memphis. This part of town has a hippy bohemian feel and its great!

Oh, Drew P, you get so many bonus points for introducing me to this gem. I'm the first to admit that I have no idea about what to order at Thai restaurants (I'm still learning about this genre of cuisine). Luckily for me, Drew is quite the expert and ordered for me. And boy oh boy was I in for a treat. The soup was AMAZING and the dumplings were out of this world. Normally I'd look at you like you'd lost your mind when you used words like Pad Thai and curry, but my little world has just been busted open...and I can't wait to go back to Jasmine. Yeah, it doesn't have the atmosphere that Bhan Thai has, but while there isn't an outdoor patio, they win hands down in the food department....and the service. Our waitress was an absolute doll.

Move along, almost anything nearby is likely to be better. I was incredibly excited to find a restaurant in Memphis that had vegetarian in the name. Five dishes later I am reasonably certain that $10 at the Asian grocery and almost no cooking skills could have produced an equivalent meal. The best that can be said is that it is not the worst Thai I have eaten and that each dish did taste different.

We came into Jasmine because we wanted to try a different Thai restaurant. The Good: The chicken egg rolls were delicious. Check out my picture. I enjoyed them very much. The Bad: I ordered the Green Curry chicken with "medium spiciness". My husband ordered the seafood delight with "hot spiciness". When our entrees came out, my husband offered to trade dishes with me because I looked so flustered with each bite. I'm no spice light-weight! When I tasted his seafood, NO spiciness! I mentioned to the server how hot my food was to indicate that perhaps she had mixed up the order. She replied, "You order less spicy next time." What's more, the Green Curry Chicken didn't have as many vegetables as I would have liked. I'm accustomed to being able to really fill up on veggies at the Thai place where I usually eat. The tea was too sweet. When I say the tea is too sweet, it is. The Ugly: There were splatters on the wall next to our table. The ceiling fans sorely need cleaning. The kitchen prep area spilled into the dining area. The restaurant has seating for 42 people, but the table spacing is not adequate. I could hear almost every conversation in the place. I think the portions were a little small for what they charged. Summation: This place may be okay for a quick lunch or perfect for take-out, but skip it for dining in. I will not return.

Love the Jasmine. Lots of vegetarian options. Thai Peanut, cashew vegetable flower, the Bird's Nest and Ma Po Tofu were all great. Favorite Asian restaurant in Memphis.

I took a rare venture into vegetarianism. At Jasmine, I got the Yum Voon Sen, a vermicelli (grass noodles) dish with soy tofu, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and peanuts. Unlike Thai dishes that I'm accustomed to, this is a "cold" entrée that isn't fried, roasted or prepared in any other heated cooking method. The most noticeable thing about the Yum Voon Sen is its pungent aroma that tastes like sweat, stemming from the raw onions and cucumbers. To undercut that, I plucked out the onions and added a lot of heavily-seeded Thai pepper sauce. As I will explain later, using an ample amount of Jasmine's hot sauce is a big no-no for me. However, it was the only way I could overcome the aroma and finish my lunch. Rice and beer (Singha, Thailand's finest and much better and less ridiculous than a Bud Light) also helped, with the beer also helping me overcome the aftertaste. The vermicelli was bland, although it contributed to an interesting meal that was memorable. I would be lying if I said that I would order this again, but I don't want to discourage others from giving Jasmine's Yum Voon Sen a try if for no other reason than to experience something new. After having a taste of Vegetarian Thai, focused on something that is more appealing to me. Before I start, I have an admission to make: my favorite Jasmine entrée is the Kung Pao Three. Yes, I know this is a Chinese dish but I love eating it with a glass of Yellow Tail Chardonnay. For this review, it wouldn't have been smart to write about it (and get clowned by certain individuals for it) so I decided to go pure Thai. To make sure that I was getting something legit, I sought the advice of the matriarchal owner who suggested the Basil Curry Paste Tofu with beef. When I ordered it, the lady (whose name I should know) asked me if I wanted it spicy or mild. Forgetting my past experiences, I foolishly chose "spicy" without giving it a second thought. However, my memories quickly came back when I dug into my plate. Despite the vegetables and seasoning, the biggest thing that stood out in the curry/tofu dish was the level of the spiciness. It was so hot that it overwhelmed everything else on my plate, including the curry. When compared to other foods, it wasn't the spiciest thing that I've had. It certainly doesn't come close to Kooky Canuck's Holy Smoke! Wings that made me tap out after the first bite. Still, the curry/tofu had me drinking copious amounts of water in order to nearly finish my meal. After finishing the curry/tofu and rice on my plate, I took the rest of it home and ate it the next day with Ramen noodles. With only a small amount, I was able to enjoy it better because it wasn't as spicy. Overall, I liked the Basil Curry Paste Tofu in spite of the spiciness but will definitely get a milder version the next time around. If there's a lesson to take from this, it is to respect the spiciness of Thai cuisine. To read the entire review, go to kensfoodfind.com/2015/01…

Jasmine Thai is delicious! My boyfriend and I were the only people there when we got there around 7:30 pm. We had been anxious to try the spot since it's recently been closed for renovation. We started with egg rolls, which were so fresh--- an absolute must on the menu. I ordered the pad Thai and he had the Kung pow trio for our main courses. I ended up liking his better but not because mine wasn't good. I wouldn't be a woman if I didn't want what I didn't order, right? :-) For dessert we tried the mango and sticky rice, which the waitress suggested. One word: AMAZING. This was my first time trying a Thai dessert and it's officially my favorite. The waitress was very sweet and took very good care of us. I can't wait to go back!

I have been going to Jasmine since they were over on Covington Pike ... At least since 1996. They are fantastic. To me, the food is different than what you'd get from a typical Thai restaurant. It's more.... Home cooked... If that makes any sense. I love it. Their hot and sour soup is great, and their vegetarian egg rolls. I also usually get the pad thai and #28... Which I believe is broccoli and tofu in a garlic sauce. The pad thai is a tad sour (vinegar?) and really good. I also appreciate that despite the fact I no longer live in Memphis, and only stop in every couple of years, the owner STILL remembers me and my order. It's mind boggling! Her memory is super good.

One of the best thai restaurants I've been to. It's a family owned restaurant with a sweet older couple running the place. The lemongrass tofu is delicious! I am a spicy food lover and their spicy level is perfect for my taste.

Food-4 stars Location-5 stars Service-5 stars Atmosphere-3 stars ANOTHER long overdue review on my part. A small little restaurant right in the heart of Cooper Young, this place had been putting out great Thai food for a number of years. Good for dine in and for take out. Yes, they are lacking on the atmosphere front (I can't tell you how many times I have thought that a $10k makeover would do wonders for this place), but Jasmine is FAR better than Bhan Thai....I think they are heavy on atmosphere but weak on food. So, get passed the cheap chairs and tables and saddle up for some spicy Thai food and a cold beer....you'll be happy you did!

I've always been skeptical and frankly underwhelmed by Thai food. That is, until I ate at Jasmine. Wow. Just wow. Best Thai food I've ever had and it made me want to have it on a regular basis. The person who seemed to be the cook/owner/waiter all in one was nice enough to let us in for dinner even though they hadn't quite opened yet. Super welcoming, friendly, and helpful when it came to picking items from the menu. We indulged in appetizers, entrees, Thai iced tea, and even dessert (despite being full) and didn't regret a single bite. We were just in Memphis for work, but I hope to come back and enjoy their food and friendly faces again. It made the end of our trip fantastic.

I have had both excellent and terrible experiences here. I won't be going back because they lack consistency, but it's not terrible. One time I had great food, another time my food was only so-so. Considering how expensive it is, I'm not willing to gamble trying new things or even gamble going back. I don't want to pay that much money and have what I normally get taste bad.

Because of Bhan Thai's price, my wife and I had settled on Jasmine Thai to satisfy our urges for Thai food. There are a couple of things I want to mention about my experience: 1) Not sure if the lady that waited our table (or the entire restaurant, for that matter) was the owner, but they definitely, most absolutely need a waiter/waitress. It was one person delivering food, taking orders, taking payments and refilling drinks for 10 tables. I give the lady props for being a soldier, but from a customer standpoint, it was ridiculous. Again, I'm not saying the lady provided bad service per se, I'm simply pointing out how undermanned they were. 2) Portions and taste were both subpar. I can live with the quality part, but the portion part... oh man, it still pisses me off to think about it. I ordered a 9 dollar bowl of noodle soup, and it came with literally few strings of noodles. I tried my best to retain composure when I first saw it, I thought it was a joke. My wife saw the frustration in my face and had to tell me to keep my calm. The dish's name was "Thai Noodle Soup" and I certainly didn't see any noodles in there, just veggies. The Pad Thai my wife ordered tasted nothing like pad thai. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't pad thai. It was a concoction of different ingredients in the shape of a dish of pad thai, but it tasted nothing close to the pad thai served in more traditional places. Considering the price, portions and the service, I don't recommend this restaurant. You'll drop $30 + on a dinner for two and leave thoroughly dissatisfied.

Second time to give them a chance. My food was horrible! It so bad I was stunned and my immediate reaction was to spit the first mouthful out in my napkin. I immediately sent back the entree. The cook (part owner) began to yell so loudly that it was humiliating. They offered to make something else for me but I didn't want any food prepared by him. The overall preparation and food quality was very poor. They did not want to reimburse me for the entree I sent back and were amazingly rude and condescending. They put a lot of energy into fake reviews and PR but I advise others when asked to walk away from eating at Jasmine. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,/,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,;,///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

The owner/waitress lady kept pushing her spring rolls so we tried them. The "fresh spring rolls" consisted of rice paper, rice noodles and iceberg lettuce. Nothing else in them -no carrot, lime leaves, tofu/meat,etc. Pretty much a joke. The Pad Thai was ok ...tasted like it had too much ketchup. Don't recommend. Go to Bhan Thai for decent Thai (although still not the best)...

Best Thai food Ive ever had and our new favorite restaurant in Memphis! My husband and I LOVED this place! Great food and service! We started with fresh spring rolls, ordered the peanut curry with tofu for the main course and ended with TWO orders of sticky rice w/ mango for dessert because it was that good. Excellent place. Will definitely be going back soon.

I hate to rate Jasmine so low. Given the reviews and my fondness for Thai cuisine, I was expecting a much better experience. I was greeted by a kind gentleman and seated. I ordered Spring rolls and Thom Yum soup with shrimp. I asked for it to be served extra spicy. The gentleman asked if it was my first visit. I replied yes. He said " not spicy, medium." I said " no I like spicy." He said " no, medium." The spring rolls had great potential but they were warm on one side as if they had been sat next to a heat source before being served. The Thom Yum soup was rather bare. Broth, shrimp and mushrooms. The shrimp were tough and old. The mushrooms were not fresh either. The broth had flavor but guess what? It wasn't spicy enough. The gentleman was too kind to complain to so I just sucked it up. The next time I'm in the mood for soup I will pass by Jasmine and drive on to Pho' Vietnam. Heck, that is where I was headed in the first place.

My new favorite Thai place! The coconut soup (Tom kah?) is awesome! We always get it as an appetizer and split it but it's big enough to be a meal. There is a HUGE variety of Thai and Chinese dishes and tons of vegetarian dishes. The panang sauce is great! We also had the curry (extra spicy). The pad Thai is probably my least favorite dish. It's a bit boring. The service is pretty quick, although she gets very busy on weekends. The owner/cook is from Thailand and very sweet! My fiancé absolutely loved the dessert with mango and sticky rice. Delicious!

Low key restaurant with a vast menu. We had the fresh spring rolls without meat and they were ok, not stellar. I ordered the green curry chicken which came with a nice assortment of veggies and pineapples. It was great, though I didn't love the consistency of the rice. I think it could of been a little stickier. I would try order the green curry again. My wife ordered the pad thai and said it was OK, not stellar. The service was very fast and the food came out quickly. The restaurant was not busy at all though at 6:30pm on a Thursday, which helped them serve us quicker. I got the impression our host and server was the chef's wife and possibly the co-owner.

A small, family-operation. No fancy decor; just sweet and attentive service from an old lady. I had a Massamun curry and it was better than Bhan Thai's. The Thai Coffee was delicious, as well. Nice casual date place. Nothing pretentious.

Thai food is one of my faves, and Jasmine is a good place to get it. I started with hot and sour soup and moved on to the massamum chicken with rice. Awesomeness. The restaurant is in a cute house in the Cooper-Young district of midtown, one of my favorite parts of Memphis. The service was good, nothing spectacular, but nothing to complain about either. A great little gem of a place that I highly recommend.

I have only been to Jasmine for lunch. I have peeked at the dinner menu and can understand some comments about it being overpriced. The lunch menu is quite a deal though: you get a spring roll, cup of soup, and a modest lunch portioned entree for under $10. The food is good. It's not my FAVORITE Thai food ever, but it's always good. You can get anything with or without meat. Everything is packed with flavor and always seems fresh. I also kind of love this place for it's quirkiness. It's a little house, very limited seating, and I have been there many times and am always greeted, seated, served, and checked-out by that one guy. At times service can be slower than I'd like at lunch, but he is so friendly and welcoming - I just let that go. Jasmine has a real cozy family feeling to me. It's kind of comforting :)

Best Thai food I have found. Wonderful people, too. I have been going here for years. I highly recommend the Massamum curry. I have had this dish at other Thai restaurants and Jasmine has set the bar very high. They fill it with lots of veggies and delicious sauce. Great menu selection and they are consistently good.

$24.50 for one dish and mango sticky rice. Average Thai food, the sauces were a thicker consistency than I'm used to. The service started out charmingly eccentric - she was really pushy about appetizers - and devolved into terrible. The hostess/server announced she'd be charging a 20% tip since we were a party of 6. Really? 20% when we're the only people in the restaurant? We're pretty good tippers generally, and this still seemed a little excessive when we don't know if the service is even going to be good. When the bills came, they were chicken-scratch handwriting with a lot crossed out. She added the sales tax before computing the tip, so our food basically all came with a 30% markup. When I told her her math was wrong (I checked on my phone) and that I wanted her to credit the "tip" back to my card and that I would tip in cash, she didn't want me to leave the hostess stand without HANDING HER CASH FOR THE TIP. You think I'm a lousy customer? You think I'm not going to tip you fairly? You think you have to force me to hand over a tip on the tax, and on your already-higher-priced, mediocre food and your pushy service? Fine. I will go be someone else's customer.

If your going to go, go for lunch. Dinner IMO for portion size, location, and quality is overpriced. Also the main lady who serves gives off a feeling of that used car salesman quality of trying to get you to spend the most money possible which takes away considerably from the dining experience. I have been here several times over the past 5 years hence why I specify to go during lunch time and order one of the lunch specials, really can't try to run you up on that.

I have never had a bad meal here and the family that owns this place is so friendly and welcoming! We always ask the owner what she recommends and everything is always amazing. My husband loves the Sea Monster, and my current favorite is a dish with grilled steak served with fresh cilantro, fresh cucumbers, fresh tomatoes, and green onions in a light vinegar-y sauce -- delicious AND healthy! Be sure to try dessert -- the coconut ice cream is incredible and the mango with sticky rice is perfect in the summer. The portions are generous, so bring your appetite. The wine list is small but you can get decent wine for $22 per bottle. I live a block from Bhan Thai and used to be a diehard fan until I found Jasmine. I still go there if I'm looking for ambience, but if I actually want good Thai food, I go here.

with over 40 dishes on the menu and nearly 20 vegetarian options! The owner has over 20 years of experience and prepares the food himself, simple and delicious homemade style. He hung out with me a my friend, explaining all the preparation and helping us make the best choice. Great taste, great place with so much to choose from! Will be back soon:)

This is an excellent little Thai place in Cooper-Young that I don't get to nearly enough. But I really enjoy it when I do. It's a great place to dine if you're a vegetarian, as they have tons of items on the menu to choose from with tofu and all sorts of Asian styled veggies and rice. And even though I'm not a vegetarian, these dishes are delicious. I also really like their Coconut Soup, all of the Curries and Tangerine Beef. They don't have a bar and only serve beer, but they have imports. If you want wine, you gotta bring your own.

I actually like this place. It covers a niche for those vegetarians and asian-food lovers. Something is missing, but I'm not sure what. I do know the service and food is consistent, and it feels homey here. Rice and noodle dishes are good to go! Don't get the soup-y items. Kind of bland. I think the desserts were okay too. :)

I lived in Memphis for twelve years and Jasmine was always my favorite place to eat out. Now that I live in Los Angeles, I've had every kind of Thai food under the sun and none of the places here can hold a candle to Jasmine. Awesome food, stellar service, and now a location closer to where I lived in midtown. I really miss this place!

Cute little Thai place in the Cooper-Young neighborhood. The lady running the place will sucker you in if you step inside to check out the menu. My thai fried rice and the fried spring rolls were fine. This place is nothing special (and actually a little over-priced) if you're from a city with a lot of Thai places, but for Memphis you could do worse.

Service: It took 1.5-2 hours for the owner/server to take our orders. When she finally did, she gave a 2 minute lecture on how our large party (of 20) did not order any appetizers, is "taking up space when the economy is rough", and that she will be charging us 20% tip on each ticket. Unbelievable. We wouldn't have been able to order appetizers even if we wanted to because it took 2 hours for her to finally get to us!! We were STARVING. Our reservation was at 7, we ordered around 8:45, and left the restaurant around 10:30. The lady repeated this lecture to us too many times for me to even remember.. and kept telling us to understand her situation. None of us understood because we were hungry and willing to pay for food. Usually restaurants would like paying customers, or so I thought. With our 20 guest table, we brought in maybe $400 worth. Food: When the food finally came, there were some dishes that were decent (maybe because we started eating around 9:00 PM) but my own was disgusting. Too sweet and lacked a true, authentic Thai flavor. Overall: My experience here was horrible, I felt like I was being punished for bringing her business. I think that was the worst dining experience I have ever had in my life. A restaurant that has bad service AND bad food is not something that I would like to return to. Jasmine deserves 0/5 stars.

Tons of vegetarian and vegan options. I had the birds nest and my partner had the orange tofu. Both were delicious and the staff was really helpful and kind.

My first real foray into Thai cuisine, and I'm hooked. I don't quite remember what I ordered, I believe it was a basil curried tofu dish. Whatever it was, it was phenomenal. Fast and attentive service, a variety of vegetarian options, a decently priced. I'm long overdue for another visit.

This place is delicious! My dad ordered off the regular menu, my mom and I off the vegetarian, and we all agreed that it was just about the best Thai we have ever had. Cute setting in a great location with friendly and fast service--easily 5 stars.

You know you're in the right place, when you see the photo of Elvis with the Thai Royal Family hanging on the wall as you come in. Conjures up ideas for an alternative version of 'The King & I' and brings new meaning to the lyrics of 'All Shook Up'. Once at the old location on Covington Pike with a my best friend, who knows the owner, who immediately asked my friend 'how hot?' To which my friend replied 'I want to leave sweating', shortly a Thai curry dish was brought and shvitzing ensued! I tried a bite, ***HOT*** only a combination of root beer and milk saved my taste buds. The Massamum Chicken in peanut curry is a great starter and the 'Bird's Nest' beef dish is also worth trying.

I had a good experience here. My friend and I stopped in later in the evening when it was quiet -- there was one other patron. The building itself is cute, we chose to sit outside on the little porch. The server was quick and friendly. We ordered -- I had a chicken with broccoli dish with brown sauce - little/no spice (I have ordered at places in the past and asked for 'no/little spice' and the spices almost knocked my boots off -- glad that this place obliged). It didn't take very long to get the food due to the time of day, and I have to write, it was absolutely delicious. I love most Asian food, and this didn't fail to please. My favorite thing about the place, aside from the food, was how intimate the experience was, due to the little home that the restaurant was housed in. The prices were reasonable and the food tasted fresh. I do recommend trying them out in the evening when it's less busy.

Yum! Really solid food and perfect Cooper Young location. Best dishes I've had are the chicken satay, fried rice (chicken or tofu) and Mongolian beef. My only issue is that price is a little steep for the quantity, but I've come to terms with it and it's definitely worth it :) The service is not the best, but the couple who own/run the place are passionate about their business and hey that counts for something. Don't forget to try the coconut ice cream!

lol the quality of the Tofu was very worrying. Not sure how long ago it was made, but definitely not today

So it's a small, family run restaurant. We went on a Wednesday and there were only a couple of tables filled. We had the fried dumplings - really good, and split the Red Curry Beef and Chestnut Chicken. Both were excellent - portions were large enough for leftovers. You are charged for rice separately so know that before you order. One drawback, a large birthday party came in when we were leaving so we had to wait through their drink orders before getting our checks and to go boxes. However, like I said, its a small, family run restaurant and the food was easily worth a little inconvenience. Yummy food and I can't wait to eat my leftovers!

The food was "ok" but they served me spoiled wine and the atmosphere leaves much to be desired.
