You go for the atmosphere not for the food. Decent prices on the wings, long wait. The girls were really great taking a picture with my 4 year old. Try the Snake Bite!

I have never liked this place, except for the obvious. The wings are average at best. I had the boneless wings, which we juicy, but someone forgot to season them. If they did put seasoning on them, it was very little. I had to ask for more, and out came the paste they use to season the wings in. A little off dipping wings in paste. I'll take BWW anyday over this place!

I wasn't going to write a review, but when I looked at my receipt and saw a request for a survey, I decided I might as well weigh in here too. Monday night was fantasy football draft night, so Hooters sounded like a reasonable choice to meet up with the gang. I arrived late and was lost in the service shuffle, meaning whenever I wanted food or drink, it took quite an effort to be noticed by our server. The seating area was not being cooled by the AC and the ceiling fans were not even all on. The All You Can Eat wing special seemed like a good value at $14.99, but I was disappointed in the degree of heat at the three flame level. No one, me included, goes to Hooters for haute cuisine, but there's no excuse for an overheated room and slow service on a Monday right when the place was virtually empty.

I was at the FedExForum and wanted to find a quick, cheap place to grab a snack afterwards. I figured this would be as good as anywhere else, if not better. I was definitely glad I walked in here when I noticed they have a new promotion, where if you sign up for their app service, you get a free app then and there. Nice. My snack just became a lot cheaper! Regardless of the price I paid though, even if I had paid full price, I still had a great experience. I don't come for the ambiance of Hooters, but surprisingly their food is really good. I like their fries, and a surprise for me is their fish. They're known for their wings as far as food goes, but their fish is what I always order. It's light, flaky, and crispy. Can't ask for much more when it comes to fish. My service was fantastic, too. Even though we had to wait before ordering to make sure we'd get the notification for a free appetizer, our waitress wasn't huffy about having to come back. All in all the experience was great. The service can sometimes be a bit lacking at places like these, especially once they determine you're not going to be ordering pitchers of beer. But our waitress was incredibly nice and treated us as if we were her only table (not in an annoying hovering way). Highly recommended.

Since I was staying right across the street at the Peabody..I thought it would be a convenient walk over to grab myself some to go lunch..placed my order to go..walked over. Bartender was great and attentive at first..total was 14$ so I gave her a 20$ and told her to keep it. Walked back to my hotel room..not only to find my French fries to be still somewhat frozen, but my wings were just little chicken bites with no sauce on them. Walked back to return my order..when I walked in she was already counting out my money. Not to mention the restaurant was completely empty. Probably a total of 3 customers in there. Wonder why? Anyways, she comes over and says "I think you gave me 14" my response "Noooo..I gave you 20" and she replies "oh yeah" For an establishment who has 15-20 things on their menus..they need to hire some employees who aren't just pretty..but understand what good customer service is. Guess the hooters stereotype will live on.

Visited this location several times. As a long time brand fan, I'm well acquainted with what to expect from this chain. In relation to the other Hooters I've attended, this location is a solid a-ok. The service is ok; it is relatively attentive but not overly spirited. The girls sometimes are friendly but generally seem to barely have a pulse. The food is also okay. Some stuff I've had is better than others. The salads are mediocre. Fried pickles are always awesome. They also do steamed shrimp well here. Restaurant is always clean and as a patio as well. Lots of TVs for football season!! The merch available here is pretty limited and not as great as other locations. Overall, an okay Hooters location. Nothing special though. Wouldn't go out of my way to visit here.

Wow, never had service this bad. Saturday afternoon, super slow service. Wings were raw. Manager was playing on Facebook. They couldn't care less. Second time for sub par service here. Never again.

AS TERRIBLE AS YOU WOULD EXPECT. The abbreviated version: - Attitude from staff - Flat beer - came to watch the game, but no sound for the game - then they turned the game off! - waited 55 minutes for a burger - waited 30 minutes for a beer - had to give up on my inept waitress, so placed all orders at the bar - waitress completely gave up on me, so I had to deal only with the manager only. (I swear I was never rude to her) I honestly can't believe they're still open. I had to beg for food. After 45 minutes, I literally made a sign that read "HELP ME" and showed it so the kitchen could see me. Once they saw that, the kitchen was more responsive (they ran my food to me) but not the wait staff. In short, this place is a HOT MESS. Only come here if you have hours and hours to burn waiting for ANYTHING to happen.

Hooters' Training Burgers are a lot like Krystal's (or White Castle, for those more familiar with that burger chain). The sliders are simple, consisting of ground beef, American cheese, mustard and a slice of dill pickle within a toasted bun. The only difference between Hooters' slider and Krystal's is the ground beef. The Training Burger's beef patty is slightly thicker and better seasoned than Krystal's. The seasoning is probably a simple combination of salt and pepper, although it wasn't profound on my tongue. Like Krystal's, Hooters griddle fries its beef until it's well done. In hindsight, I should have told my server to have my beef patty cooked medium rare. Anyway, the sliders are decent and a step above fast food. However, they are far from the best that Downtown Memphis offers. But for $7.99 (not including tax) you get four sliders and curly fries, which is a good value if you're feeding small kids. SIDE NOTE: Another great deal is Hooters' $5.99 Monday lunch special. It consists of a cheeseburger and curly fries that is only available to dine-in customers. Compared to nearby places like Dyer's, it's a bargain. In addition to sliders, Hooters also has a version of a Texas toast burger. Called the Texas Melt Burger, it consists of a beef patty topped with bacon, sauteed onions, barbecue sauce and a lot of American cheese. Like with the Training Burgers, the beef's seasoning wasn't anything beyond average. In fact, I've done a better job of cooking them myself despite my lack of culinary skills (an example of this is a recent effort to cook hot wings). However, the meat was palatable enough to past muster with me. Everything on the burger was adequate, for the bacon and onions added some flavor and the cheese tasted as expected. The pieces of bread containing the sandwich were toasted to a dark, almost burnt brown. Unlike Huey's version, the toasted bread of Hooters' burger lacked butter that could've made the sandwich better. The barbecue sauce did nothing for me other than make the burger messy. On the whole, Hooters Texas Melt Burger fell short of my modest expectations but it wasn't terrible. Whenever I go there again to eat, it might be an option for me. More likely, I will probably go with wings. The curly fries were the best part of my meal. Not that they were the best ever, but they were good enough to complement my burger. Other than its shape, the characteristics of them are similar to Huey's steak fries. If I had to make a suggestion to the bean counters at Hooters, I would ask them to look into the feasibility of offering smaller portions of it. I really don't see the need to only sell fries by the bowl at nearly three dollars a pop. A smaller portion of fries (similar to what's included with the Training Burgers) at a lower price would have been a better option for me. The amount of fries that I had for my burger was more than enough. After finishing the burger, I had over half a bowl of fries left. While I thought about eating them with friends, I wasn't hungry enough to eat more. So, other than the quantity, Hooters' curly fries were okay. Upon reflection, I can't say that I was impressed with what I had at Hooters. After eating sliders at places like Bardog Tavern and Felicia Suzanne's, Hooters was a bit of letdown. I had hoped the Texas Melt Burger would redeem the restaurant, but it didn't help. When it comes to food, I will have to accept Hooters for what it is: hot food served by hot chicks. Went to Hooters for a quick lunch and now I'm writing this... Ordered off the lunch menu (nothing crazy). Waited 45 minutes for my food (asked twice why we were the only two people who hadn't recieved our food). Watched my food get deliverd to another table. Then watched my food get picked through by another table (ate some fries and picked apart the sandwich and soon realized that wasn't her sandwich). Watched the waitress take it back to the counter and pretend like it was fresh and then deliver it to me while my fries were still in the other patrons hands. I then asked for the manager. The manager looked flustered and didn't even talk to his staff about the problem. I had to explain the problem to the waitress. They seemed to think this wasn't really that big of a deal. GROSS!!!!! Note to self pack a lunch forever.

The ladies at this location are good looking and quite friendly... yeah, yeah, i know... but I have been to some Hooters where the service isn't all that great. the wings are what you would expect from any of their franchises... what makes this locale special is their covered patio which is good for people watching outside while watching a game on one of their flat screen TVs. HAPPY HOUR! aka drink on a budget... Wingsday Wednesdays... AYCE boneless chicken for $11!

  • Ebonye B.

This place has a lot of issues. However, management does care. So if you have a problem, please let your server know. She will likely get it fixed in a jiffy. The ladies are sweet and the chicken is good. Parking at this location can be a hassle, so come a little early.

Went to get out of the rain, glad i did, great girls very short shorts. All are cooler looking then the last. Had the chicken wings naked and mild, very moist and tender, goes just right with the brew. You got ro love the view of all those orange shorts..

The management at this location is subpar and it has always been the worst Hooters I've ever been to. (It sucks that it would have to be in my home town!) We did stop in late the other night and did the usual naked, extra crispy with the sauce on the side. We sat at the bar and our server was very nice, did a good job and was well aware that the manager was an incompetent douche.

Hooters is Hooters, good wings, lots of TV and girls in short shorts. Though I will say it was quite hot the time we visited and it was odd how many children were there. Caught the end of the Grizz game though and had a fine time.

Read somewhere online that Hooters gives you a free appetizer when you sign up online - YES, count me in! Once I was on their radar, I received an email announcing AYCE wings on National Wing Day, or something like that. (Apparently, they have AYCE wings every week, but I didn't know that.) This seemed like the PERFECT time to check it out and get my app. I have only started eating wings in the last year, but since discovering the incredible mouth-bliss I've been missing, I have had them at a number of places. Hooter's was pretty damn good. I think I tried everything but the very spiciest sauce. Faves included Teriyaki (or whatever their silly name is), anything Daytona style (grilled), and surprising to me, lemon pepper. I don't like breaded wings, so I stuck to naked or Daytona. Hot and fresh! Not very big, but with AYCE that's not that big a deal. Also tried the boneless, which were better than I expeced. Maybe because I was getting them hot out of the fryer. The Daytona boneless were a nice surprise - just chunks of grilled chicken breast. A healthier option, if you care about that (although you're probably not sitting in Hooters if you do!). Note: the boneless are SMALL. Bite-size. No way would I pay menu price for that!! Complaints: Took a LOOONG time to get orders! I was there forever because of waiting between each order. Daytona-style took even longer, so I only got it this way a few times, even though I liked them the best. Temp was also really low...I had a sweatshirt with me and I was still shivering. Overall. great meal for totally taking care of a wing craving. Awesome deal at around $20 (includes drink and tip). Plus got free mozz sticks, which were good. Definitely would go back, but probably only on another AYCE night.

I came here to watch the 49ers vs. Seahawks game on sunday mainly because of the number of large screens, the beers, and the wings. Why, out of all the times this could happen, would the two largest screens in this place not work on practically the biggest game of the NFL playoffs. How does management let this happen?? Damn was all that I could say. Now I've been to Hooters restaurants in 7 different states and this one by far is the poorest of the ones I've visited. The service is so-so and the wings were not as good as I remembered them to be at other hooters restaurants. What they do have going good for them is that the restaurant is in a great location, just blocks from Beale street. Outside of that, its just ok.

It's all true. Food is fine when you finally get it. Service is horrible, slow, inattentive. Waited 30 minutes for food. Manager came over to apologize. He was very Unconcerned and blamed the crowd after the game. We saw only three tables come in from game. He didn't seem to want to be here and did not manage his staff at all. Waitresses were clustered together chatting or hanging out at particular tables. We ain't be back

Would not return. Very unimpressed, food, cleanliness and waitresses less than desirable. Hooters is really going downhill.

Why in the world would a sports bar not open at 11 on Sundays? Is the concept of pre-gaming a foreign one? Noon games=Drinking before noon.

For anyone that's frequented a Hooters, your experience is as good as your waitress. There are fun ones, and others that are just dull. Hooters accommodated our party of 13 guys. We wanted a place to watch the hockey playoffs. They changed the channels of the TV's in our section to the game we wanted, as well as turning the house speakers to the game we were watching. I don't get why such a place has crappy old tube TVs. Whatev. Food is greasy, but always yum. Although I like the flavor of their wings, they hurt my stomach later due to all the oil. It's hard to find anything healthy here. There were fruit flies flying around the condiments at our table. Gross. We took the condiment bucket off the table and set it in a corner. On to the service. Our server Ashley was fun. She joked with some of the guys, and took the chance to make fun of them whenever they acted a fool. Drinks came kind of slow, but we were a big table of drinking fools. Since we were here for a long time, I actually had opened up a tab with a different server too... her name was Jessie. She was super cute, but seemed upset and crabby by the end of the night. We also had another server that was helping us out from time to time. Her name was Jeana. Holy cow she is fun. We bought some Hooters shorts for one of the boys and she gladly pressured the dude until he agreed to put them on. Then she assisted him in getting dressed... and made him a package enhancer out of wadded up paper towels. She was joking with us the whole night. I know its creepy walking into Hooters and asking for a specific waitress... but as I said before, the quality of your server makes all the dining difference here. If Jeana is there, ask for her. Fun, flirty, and super cute too. ... how the hell did I spent close to $200 here WITHOUT ordering food? I'm a mess.

Yes, I went to Hooters while on vacation. Let me preface, we wanted to watch the VCU game at a sports-centric establishment, and there weren't a ton within walking distance of Beale. So, Hooters it was. I'm sorry, I just can't get behind an establishment that calls itself a sports bar but doesn't have flat-screen TVs. This place had 1 projection TV and a bunch of 19-inch old tube TVs. Like, my parents who don't have cable have better TVs than the ones here. The picture on some was fuzzy! That's ridiculous! Otherwise, food was okay. Fried pickles = yum. We sat at the bar and service was pretty quick/efficient. I just can't give more stars because the TVs were so terrible. I wouldn't return here to watch a game.

Bartender was great and food was good. Big problem however were the cockroaches crawling up the wall of the prep station where they put the chicken into flour. Bartender killed them all and got manager but he never even apologized

This Hooters restaurant is just like any other, it has fantastic wings. The service here is nothing spectacular but I have a feeling that people dont come here for the "great" service. I love me some wings and Hooters goes on my list and some of my favorite. They are not your typical hot wing and I think that's why I like them. Hooters is one of the better chains that have stayed consistent during its duration.

Went for a late night snack because it was across the street from our hotel. What a joke!! The noise volume was so loud it was hard to hear yourself talk. We ordered chicken quesadilla & 1/2 lb steamed shrimp. The wait for our food was ridiculous, we had to ask for our plates, asked for salsa but they only have pico. Our waitress was never around. She finally came back & we fell for key lime pie. After waiting another 20 min. we flagged another waitress to cancel the pie & bring us our check. Our waitress eventually showed up & totally blamed the kitchen for our bad experience. Everytime I go to a Hooters I swear I'll never go again & tonight reminded me why. Food is below average.

Visit to Hooters on a Saturday night. This is located very close to the action of Beale St. It was UFC fight night. There was no cover. So all tables were full. This Hooters is bigger than most I have been to, the first one I see with a pool table. They have many tv's to watch the events. Ordered the traditional wings with fries,,,, SAME great wings as all the other locations. Vibe was ok, not to rowdy. Sat at the bar so took a bit to get someones attention. Overall, good food, nice girls. Check your bill, I was automatically charged 18% gratuity. Maybe it was due to the UFC fight??? Didn't ask.

I've never been to Hooter's once in my 22 years on this planet, but I must say my first time experience was less than desirable. Don't get me wrong - the atmosphere was fun, and I would like to say I found the food enjoyable. As soon as we enter, the door greeter was already missing. A gentleman, whom I understood to be the manager, greeted us soon after. But rather than seating us himself, he told us he'd have to find his door greeter. Once she came we were then told "Just sit wherever" (which is fine, but what was the point of waiting for all that extra time if we were just going to seat ourselves). Once we sat down, an adorable waitress took our drink orders; however, she informed us that she wouldn't be our server. No, in fact our server was too busy to attend her own table. Oddly enough, the girl who would eventual come to our table was the same one I saw just talking with the bar tender for 5 minutes while we were waiting to be seated. When she finally came, she told us her name, but she was wearing another girl's name tag. We order our drinks, two of which are alcoholic. That took about 15 minutes (for a Corona and Margarita) followed by another 10 minutes for the server just to bring me a water. Take note - that's 25 min just waiting for our drinks. When she finally comes back for our orders, I follow her path of work. I try giving this girl the benefit of a doubt, but she only had three tables with the most people at any one of them being three people. The large party of about 20 people next to us were getting better, quicker service from the one girl catering to their table. Our food took about 30 min to happen. We were sitting near the prep station, so we got to see all the action. All the girls were buzzing to and from, placing orders and taking food. Except our girl seemed to enjoy lingering and spending her time talking to the cooks. On several occasions we watched her take 5 min breaks and just chit chat. Maybe she wouldn't be so behind if she wasn't spending so much time socializing. So we receive our food - it's cold. She's was talking to the gift shop girl for about 10 min as we watched our food come out. By then we've invested an hour into being there, and were too hungry to bother saying anything. The girl comes back once the entire time were there to ask if we need refills. We're her last table to receive food - so she kicks back and goes back to her elbow rest at the gift shop counter where she spends the next 20 min just talking. We've been stationary for some time - we've finished eating and need boxes and a check. It's another 10 min before she finally makes her rounds and comes back to us. I suppose she's eager to be rid of as,because she brought the check and boxes very quickly. She took our money very quickly. She walks to the register and....ah, yes, it's the register right by the gift shop girl. Great. We waited another 15 min for her to bring us our card and change. She was once again too busy socializing with the girl to be bothered with her tables. When she does bring everything back, I'm short changed. Granted it was only some pocket change, but having worked in retail for so many years, you never keep your customer's money, no matter how small the amount. By the end of it all we've been at Hooter's for almost two hours. Moreover, it was our friend's birthday. They wouldn't use her e-gift card because it wasn't printed out, even though she had the card number and pin pulled up on her iPhone. I was very disappointed in this place, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
