This place is a mixed bag. The service is often very slow but the food is normally amazing. Portions are huge. The Pad See Eew is amazing and it's one of the few places in town where a vegan can go and eat. There have been times where I found the Pad Thai really greasy and I've sometimes been really bothered that the service was glacially slow. But it's usually worth the wait. I would rank it higher but for the slow service. For Jackson, it's worth a visit.

We are huge Thai fans at our house. We were skeptical about this place. We went to it's original location a few years ago and never got waited on so we left. We ordered take out tonight because we were bored with everything else in town. I ordered Panang (red curry). It really tasted more like yellow curry. It was still good, but lordy it was hot and I love hot food. I asked for a 2 on a scale of 1-10 since I had never eaten there. Hubby had sweet & sour shrimp. It was fair, but was literally just shrimp, sauce and a few pieces of veggie garnish, more like what you'd get at a Chinese place instead of the typical Thai version. We will try it again. I wasn't a fan of the egg rolls, they are huge, fried things served with super hot mustard sauce. Hubby liked them tho. Portions are HUGE. I have enough panang for 2 more meals.

This place is a hidden gem! Small family owned place where the Mom is the cook and her son is the sever. Very courteous, friendly, and helpful. We have only been about 5 times now over the last couple years but he always remembers us as well as what we had the previous times we were there so we can try something new. We have always left with leftovers and a big smile on our face. always pleased that Jackson has this asset!

Table time was insane - almost 45 minutes to receive our food. Completely unbalanced. Pad Thai was drenched in sweet oyster sauce. Massaman curry was inundated in chili flakes. Just ridiculous and overpriced for a lunch option. Travelers avoid this place.

Very good food I had the red curry with tofu. In a strip mall landlord won't let them have a sign above so it's a little hard to find but it's under the Spring Hill Financial Sign

My absolute favorite restaurant in Jackson! The Tofu Pad Thai is awesome! Another favorite is the regular egg roll! The yellow curry is really good as well. Delish! Side note- All of the food is cooked fresh, so be sure to allow time for that!

I love this place! Flavor is wonderful and the atmosphere is fun. You may have to wait a while for your food on a busy night, so budget a lot of time so you don't get frustrated. But it is worth the wait! A Jackson treasure.

This is a great little Thai food restaurant. The server was super friendly and eager to please! I had the Massaman chicken. It was very tasty and enough for two!

The food here is incredible. To die for. The service was less than desirable, but I think it was because he was a young kid who had never served before. We will definitely go back. YUMMO!

I didn't know it was possible to make Thai food so unhealthy! Anyone who likes this place needs to get out of TN a little more often !!!

Very average. Which is good Thai if you are in Jackson Tn. I'm not sure what exactly that egg roll thing was but it was good... But not an egg roll...good thing my wifey and I split one. The portion is big but the rice serving was not. Wish we had more rice

Excellent food and wonderful service. The pad Thai was amazing. Good flavor and plentiful portions. The green curry was sweet with tangy kick. Very good. We came in right as they were closing, but they made us a to go box and sent us on our way---the staff is wonderful.

Love this place and the food! It is not super authentic, but pretty good for Jackson. The wait staff is very nice and the portions are huge.

I'll admit upfront that I haven't eaten much Thai food in my life so I can't really compare it to other joints. That said, once we finally found the place, we sat down and were promptly greeted. Not knowing much about Thai food, I went with what so many other Yelpers mostly recommended, the chicken pad Thai and Thai iced tea. The tea was promptly served and I was excited to try it. However, that excitement quickly turned to disappointment. It was so sweet, I could not believe it. I've had some very sweet tea before but this beats em all. I promptly asked the server to take it away and get me a Pepsi instead, which was much more predictable. Our food soon arrived, after which I realized we made 2 mistakes. We should have ordered only one dish bc it was quite large, and, since we did order 2 we should have ordered different menu items. The best way I know to describe the dish is like those Lipton noodle packets that are always on sale at Kroger for a buck, topped with some kind of liquified peanut butter, and chicken. Needless to say I was not impressed, and my wife was downright disgusted. She ate 2 bites and was done. I wasn't far behind her. The server came by and asked if everything was ok, I said it was alright, since that may be exactly what it's supposed to taste like, in which it wouldn't be their fault. She asked if we wanted togo boxes to which I replied, no thanks. The only thing that really irked me was that come check time, I was charged for both the Thai tea, which I drank 1 small sip of and returned, and the Pepsi. Which added up to be $5.50 on the bill. I asked her about it and she said, "you order both, so you pay for both". Fine. That just sealed the deal for me. After we left, we went home and ate a turkey sandwich, tasted like heaven. I can say without any doubt that I won't be going back.

The service was great but I would not recommend the food here. The place is very hard to find. We ordered their Chicken Panang Curry and Chicken Pad Thai and also a Thai Iced Tea. The Panang was very watery and lacked the thick richness of true Thai Panang. The Thai Iced Tea was extremely sweet. And the Pad Thai was so sweet it tasted like a dessert. The food tasted like it was created with a very low budget for quality.

My husband and I have been coming here for years now! The food taste fresh and delicious. I always get the Pad Thai and my husband gets the Green Curry! I am not a huge fan of curry so I can't say if that is good or not, but their Pad Thai is really good! The service is great. It's never really busy so it's a great place to go, eat good food, and enjoy a quiet environment!..

The food was very good, service was great. The food was tasty, a little different from what we're used to but delicious and plenty of it. As far as whether this is "authentic Thai" cuisine, I cannot say for sure but it reminded me of dishes that I have been told are from the highland region. It is a bit pricier than some Thai restaurants, low end entree was $11 but like I said the entrees were on the large size.

If you've eaten authentic Thai food before, best to steer clear of this place! If you've not had authentic Thai before, you may be fooled into thinking this is an average Thai restaurant.

Highly disappointed. There are several items of complaint that can be made for this place, which is unfortunate, since this is the only restaurant in the Jackson, TN, area, which bills itself as a Thai restaurant. The menu prices will leave you with mild sticker shock, but the quality of the food will horrify you. The pork egg roll came to the table as a fist-sized, dark brown brick, which could have broken a tooth if it weren't allowed to soak in a bath of its accompanying pink sauce for a few minutes. For the main meal, I ordered the cheeseburger of all Thai joints--Pad Thai, priced at $11 to $12. What came out to the table was a hubcap-sized plate, with a sticky tangle of plain noodles, topped with four pieces of green onion, and an entire box of fried tofu thrown on top of it. It came with an odd garnish of fatigued lemon, parsley, and red cabbage, as though it would somehow "pretty-up" the chef's disinterest in food altogether. Our biggest complaint about this place was not---surprisingly---the food; it was actually the wait. The restaurant wasn't busy, and we were only the second table with customers for the majority of our visit. After waiting for 45 minutes to get my meal, and a few additional minutes of still not receiving my hubbie's meal (basic sweet and sour pork), we asked for the check. Poor food, poor service.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Jackson. I kind of love the fact that you really have to look for it. It's not really advertised, and one has to walk up to the door to see 'The Thai Cafe' sign. The decor is minimal, yet obviously Thai-inspired (I assume), and I like it. The servers I've had before have always been super, super sweet. I get the supreme noodles & Thai iced tea every time I go. I know I should really venture out, but these two things are so out of this world, I haven't gotten over them yet. Very large portions are served of this particular dish. I only wish the Thai tea was endless, though I suppose that makes it all the more special that it's not. It's such a perfect treat that I crave until the next time I'm there. The hot & sour soup is also pretty yummy.

As soon as I entered, the first thing that I noticed was this peculiar smell that made me so uncomfortable and the worst part was the staff seemed unaware about it. I alway thought that one could never go wrong with Panag curry, but I was proved wrong by them. They messed it up so bad that I have no words for it. All in all worst thai restaurant i have ever visited.

Ate here multiple times with friends of mine and the food was excellent. Their pad thai is absolutely to die for. The portions are huge for the price you pay for, and they even have a little shop in the front to buy things to make your own thai at home. The Staff is very friendly, and very willing to work with you to get the spice level of the food exactly how you want it. This is by far the best place in Jackson to get Thai food, and I Highly recommend it to everyone.

I'm really surprised to see the 5-star reviews for this place. This is certainly not authentic Thai food. I rarely write reviews on Yelp, but I do use them quite a bit. I'm putting my 2 cents in on this one. The Pad Thai that everyone is raving about tastes nothing like actual Pad Thai. It was too sweet, too saucy, and didn't even contain noticeable egg or any bean sprouts. It was a bright red in color. In other words, it's not Pad Thai. The fried rice that came with my friend's meal looked and tasted absolutely nothing like any fried rice I've ever seen. It was dark brown in color and had the consistency of rissotto. I was with someone from Thailand and 2 others that live 2 hours south of Thailand in Malaysia. Based on the 3 reviews I read I thought this might be a safe place to take my guests. It wasn't. I was a little embarrassed to say the least. Service? I'm sure I caught them on a bad night, but our server had just started that week and she was the only person in the entire restaurant working the floor. She was friendly, but overwhelmed and had no experience whatsoever. The kitchen gave her our orders 2 at a time, but about 10 minutes apart, which she explained was normal and "how they do it here." The first 2 people nearly finsihed their food by the time the last 2 people got theirs (party of 6). It was awkward. Bottom line....if you are interested in getting obscene, American-size amount of food on your plate, this place is for you. If you're interested in overly fried egg rolls that are about the size of 1/2 a can of Pringles, this place is for you. If you like your appetizers fried incredibly heavily to the point of them being nearly burned, this place is for you. This is not a very good Thai restaurant, sorry.

I live in Washington DC (which should have some really great Thai), and Thai Cafe in Jackson, TN is still my favorite Thai place. I went to school in Jackson, and Thai Cafe is always a must-do on visits back. The food is always fantastic, and the portions very generous (one portion always lasted me 2 or 3 meals). I get the impression that the couple that runs it is just making the same food they did back home the way they did back home. No Americanization here. The decor is weird and haphazard, but that's always an endearing characteristic for me in many of the Asian restaurants that sport it. Favorite items: *~Egg rolls *~Thai iced tea - Best I've had. It's not an everyday Thai iced tea; very concentrated, sweet, and spicy. But I really enjoy it. *~Landy's Chicken Bowl - grilled chicken, rice, and the most amazing sweet & savory sauce to combine it all. Named after the couple's son, Landy. (If he's around and you're any kind of a pretty girl, he will definitely hit on you. In a harmless, good-natured way. :) *~Pad Thai - still haven't had pad thai I like better than this one. Everything about it is just right. Can't wait for my next visit!

Friendly service, but the food quality was very disappointing. Ordered a Pad Thai and it was ok, but very plain (only basic noodles and chicken). Ordered Pad See Ew and it wasn't made with wide noodles and came plain with no vegetables, and was the worst I'd ever had. A shame because the workers were very hospitable.

DO NOT go here expecting to eat everything you order. The portions are HUGE, and super delicious. The staff is very nice. The intimate atmosphere is great for flirty chat.
