Excellent food! We get take out here once a week. The vegetables are so fresh and the curry is fantastic. I highly recommend it.

I am always concerned when I walk into a lunch place and no one else is there. We went on an ordered anyway and the food was okay but I would not recommend this is a top five Chinese place in the Donelson area

AWFUL SERVICE - RUDE STAFF!!!! No Delivery, Don't ASK! Since my move to Nashville, I have convinced my boyfriend & friends that we maybe just got them on a bad day. Their food is ok for quick Chinese, but their attitudes cannot be justified. I ordered tonight, & had car trouble, so I called to say I'd be a while & questioned delivery. The man said no delivery & hung up on me. I called back & remained calm & explained to the woman my situation. She took down a new order so I could get a delivery ($25 min). She gave the phone back to the guy who asked "What do you want?" I explained the situation again & he screamed "NO DELIVERY!" & hung up. I called back only for the man to tell me to stop calling?! I will never be going to this restaurant this is my 8th time going here & I have to say enough is enough. I am very laid back & there's no reason to be this way. If you don't deliver, don't advertise you do. I hope they Karma bites them because I have never been yelled at by anyone in a restaurant!!

I'm a pretty laid back customer and try to avoid conflict at most times. However, I've never EVER been spoken as rudely as I have been at this restaurant and on the phone no less. It's really too bad the food here is so good. This is the second time my husband and I have given this a restaurant a shot. My husband complained about the rude treatment he had experienced earlier in the year but I chalked it up to someone having a bad day. But after multiple times of getting stilted and impolite conversation from the host taking orders and then the EXTREMELY rude phone conversation I just had? This is the last time we will be eating/ordering from here.

I have no idea what's wrong with you other Yelpers. Aside from the fact that these guys have probably had to Americanize quite a bit of their menu to survive here in TN Achem, bourbon chicken) you can't find very many places like this out here. You know, actual Asians cooking with legitimate traditional Asian utensils and woks and such. Have you seen how perfect their dumplings are? I had the lo mein the other night and these guys stuffed the box so full that it was good for 3 1/2 meals. The only thing better than the food was the pleasure of watching them cook it. Guys on the grill are putting in some work!

Food was cooked a little too long, restaurant kept too warm for comfort, and sweaty cooks did not wear gloves. Health rating of 93 was generous. Would only eat if desperate....

Meh. I like little Chinese places because you can watch the food being made. Ours, however, sat for a while before being bagged. The cashier was a little disinterested and kind of tossed our order onto the counter. Sweet & sour sauce was a little dull.

I stopped by here to eat after being recommended by someone else. Usual menu as at other resturants of this type. All I can say is Number 1 tasted like Number 2. Over cooked meat, rice was hard and cold. Really bad food.

The food gives it 4 stars ! Excellent quality for the money. Family operated. Always friendly and smiling. Restaurant is very bland but clean. Doesn't as I'm sure most of their food is take out. I like the beef and veggies. Small order is under $5.00 and plenty enough to fill you up. My friend always gets shrimp and veggies and absolutely loves it. Again, under $5.00 for the small order.

Love takeout at No. 1. Best chicken fried rice and moo goo gai pan around. Prices are reasonable and fast turnaround.

If I could give this place one star, I would. I ordered egg drop soup and when I went in to pick up, I asked if they had green onions. The dick who was working rudely asked why. I told him for my soup. The other guy, who was cooking, opened my soup and proceeded to sprinkle some into the soup. I stopped him, asking if I could have a small amount in a separate container. The original ass yelled NO! I told him I would pay, but he still wouldn't give me any green onions. I hate these people. They are always rude and the food is mediocre at best. It's just close to my house, but that is the ONLY good thing about this place.

You sometimes have to Watch their Ratings from the Health Dept, but the Food is Typically quite good!

AVOID! When I went there the only two other customers were wearing no socks and no shoes. I'm not kidding! It took twice as long as it does the other area Chinese takeout restaurants to get my food and oh my god is their food disgusting. I was gagging at the first bite of chicken I ate. That stuff didn't even taste like real food! The sauce was completely disgusting. Even the rice was inedible. I couldn't eat any of it, I felt sick just eating a few bites. I threw the whole thing away. I was so disgusted that I wouldn't even set foot in there again to complain. The only thing I felt was right was to run away and never look back! This is purely Americanized Chinese food...and bad Americanized Chinese food at that. If you really want great Chinese food do some research on traditional Chinese food vs American style of Chinese food and find a restaurant where they still cook authentically. Better yet talk to someone who was born in China about it. You'll see what I mean. But even if after all that you still just want (decent) orange chicken...you won't find it here!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
