Not sure why this place gets so many bad reviews! It's never really busy which is great for fast friendly service! Great sushi! We live close by so we order take out from here quite a bit! Always very fast and delicious! They have great lunch specials! Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!!

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Had driven by and was curious. Koi promotes Chinese , Thai, and Japanese. I was the only patron when I entered ( should have given me a clue). I ordered a plum wine from the menu. They did not have any. So I ordered plum sake. They did not have any. I consider these two drinks a staple at any hibachi place. I ended up ordering a Cab. I don't know if the cork had dropped in the wine or if it had sat a long time, but it was expired. The waitress was serious, but attentive. I ordered the Green Curry Chicken with soup and ginger salad. The salad was good. The soup was straight up broth with two small spiral noodles. The chicken was okay. Next time I want great thai, I will drive the extra 15 min. to Simply Thai in Old Hickory.

Meh. We were bullied by our waitress. It was four of us and all of our food came out at different times (mine was 5 minutes after everyone else). My sister ordered some rolls and was disappointed, they were very bland. I ordered a nigiri box and two pieces of nigiri didn't taste fresh. My mom ordered a curry dish with tofu and the tofu was extremely overwhelming. Poor experience. Won't be going back.

I was leery about ordering takeout from here because of the reviews, but so glad I tried it! I've ordered the red curry with tofu and some veg sushi several times and everything has been great.

So I'm changing my review to five stars because I have now tried the fried sushi and it was delicious and a big enough roll for two to share. I got takeout again and I still ordered too much for two! I am pleased by the taste and portion size once again. I received more for my money when I would have spent at least $15-$20 somewhere else for the same.

My husband & I went today & the food & service was great. I ordered the green curry and it was the best I've ever had. Husband loved the General Tso's chicken, & the chicken lettuce wraps were wonderful as well. They are in construction for the hibachi grilles & it looks a bit rundown inside or I would have rated them higher.

This place is gross. The avocado was old and brown on my Philadelphia roll, I asked to have it removed from my ticket because that just disgusting. While I was sitting at the sushi bar an old woman kept coming out of the kitchen area to talk to the sushi chef and about the second time I saw her I noticed she was COLORING HER HAIR while cooking the food. I don't know about your preference but I'd rather not eat hair dye with my grilled chicken. Don't eat here, you'll probably die.

Make sure if you dare eat at this resturant to check your food and drink for cock roaches. Yes plural as in more than one. Today a friend and I had lunch at this place for the last time. We were chatting and having lunch when i went to take a drink and happened to notice a roach floating on top of my Dr. Pepper, then when I moved the glass to the edge of the table a small roach was walking across the table. It was all we could do not to be sick! I then put the glass over the top of the bug for the waitress to see it. Neeedless to say, when she came to the table and I lifted the glass the simply mashed it with her finger and took our payments for the meals and drinks. I felt I needed to sanitize my card before I put it away. So just a word a caution...unless you want cock roaches with you food and drink choose a different resturant and check their inspection score!

The staff were great, very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately the Teriyaki Chicken (just chicken chunks with teriyaki sauce on top), brown rice (undercooked) and crunchy crab sushi (grocery store quality) were underwhelming.

My family sat down at one of the hibachi grills and the first thing I saw as a small bug crawling on the edge of the grill. I flicked it off thinkiing it was a stray, random bug. Then I saw a second, and the people at the other end saw one. The final straw was the one crawling across my plate and a good look showed me it was a roach. We got up and walked out, and we had not even gotten our drinks yet.

My husband and I have always had great luck here and the owner is so friendly. He usually gets the hibachi chicken and I always gets the sushi. My favorite being the Shaggy Dog.

Drinks were okay. Went to eat did not have crab. I kinda thought that was a staple for Japanese restaurant. Waitress did not have a clue about the menu.

HORRIBLE! Do NOT waste your money or time. I've eaten sushi in many places and have given reviews - BUT this is the first time I will ever say eat at your own risk. Everything used to make my rolls were soggy and looked unfresh. I'm new to the area and trying to find a regular sushi joint so decided to give this place a try. This Was NOT It. I feel bad for blasting them and am holding back all the details of my $35+ take out... Please consider any other sushi place before you try this one.

Good, fresh sushi and a lot of options for non-sushi eaters as well! Service is great, Peyton our server was very friendly and prompt. They are building out a hibachi grill, which will make this more of a destination restaurant rather than just another asian restaurant. Looking forward to it.

If you are looking for an "experience" this isn't the place. Want a nice roll or two and have some time to kill - then it is. Don't expect fast service, never see it here. They are friendly and sweet. Sushi is good and fresh. Nothing fantastic but will give that sushi fix if you are in Hendersonville.

I would NOT recommend going here. My fiance and I like to try every sushi/hibachi place we see in the area and this one has been BY FAR the worst experience. The waitress didn't have a clue about the combinations on the menu or what was included - menu was not correct. She brought out half our order and took off. We thought she was going to get the rest, but never came back to check on us throughout our entire meal, so we ate what we had - a bowl of rice, and a soggy sushi roll (the pad thai we ordered was disgusting so we did not have more than one bite each). Another waitress finally noticed I looked unhappy and asked if I needed anything. I advised we never got our right order and needed those items taken off the check - and if she could bring us the check since we had finished what we were going to eat and been waiting over 10 mins with our waitress not in sight. The manager was walking around checking on people, but did not check in with us. Overheard him talking to the table next to us who also did not receive all their food. They did not refund us the pad thai either upon request. We will not be back.
