My first experience with Simonton's was at the Christmas Village in Nashville last December. It is probably the best tasting cheese I've had. I gave it as a gift to my family in Missouri and they raved about it and asked where they could get it. Unfortunately, distribution is limited and they don't even have it in the Nashville area. I was willing to pay to have it shipped to my family for another holiday and placed my order. I was contacted a few hours later letting me know that since it was summer I'd have to pay an additional $10 to ice pack the product and over $59 to ship it next day air. $69 for shipping on a $30 order? No thank you. The worst part is that when I called their customer service line the week prior they said it would be no problem to ship the product and made no mention of having to upgrade to overnight shipping due to the weather. I understand why I would have to do this, but it would have been nice if their customer service was knowledgeable enough to communicate this fact so I wasn't left 4 days before a holiday with no gift. So in the end, good cheese worth seeking out, but don't expect much from their customer service.
