Excellent family atmosphere - good food and friendly people. Great value in a low key dining room. Recommended!
We really liked their pizza. Carry out and eat in. Crispy crust, plenty of toppings. The night we ate in they were super busy but made us feel welcome and went out of their way to take care of us. Pastas and sandwiches were good. Pizza was the best.
The "take-n-bake" pizza is the best pizza in the area.

Catfish Cabin

1833 Peavine Rd
Crossville, 38571
Reviews:
Best catfish I've ever had. Period. Usually a catfish fillet is a small pathetic slice of meat, deep fried to oblivion. At The Cabin, it's a MASSIVE fillet, lightly breaded and perfectly fried. The meat was juicy tender and burn-your-tongue hot. My only mistake was thinking they'd be small, ordering two, and not having space for peach cobbler.... Diner beware, always leave room for cobbler!
I have been looking forward to experiencing the type of dishes I had growing up in Kentucky and knew a vacation in Crossville Tennessee would give me the opportunity. I knew I was in the right place at Catfish Cabin when they delivered a pot of beans with diced onions on the side, cole slaw, and hush puppies. Delicious! The catfish was huge, lightly breaded, and fried to a perfect golden crispness. We ordered the imported as the waitress suggested it would be milder in flavor, and she did not lead us astray. I would also like to mention the lack of greasiness, the lightness of the batter/breading, and that the filet was very tender. We also had the fried frog legs, which showed up piping hot and fresh. Catfish Cabin...you did not disappoint this still southern at heart gal, bless ya'all!
Fantastic, homey restaurant that serves a wide variety of seafood in southern styles. Some of the best catfish I've ever had and that you should go out of your way to have, too. Amazing fried green tomatoes as well! The staff are friendly and a delight to talk with, very welcoming. You're not going to leave hungry as many of the sides are all you can eat. Just off the beaten path, it's worth leaving the highway just a bit to get away from the bland and routine fast food to stop in here.

The recommended drunken noodles will do in a pinch, but not much better than a frozen dinner. The drunken noodles were inedible. We sent them back to the kitchen and they still charged us for the dish. I would not suggest this place for a stop off the highway. Dairy Queen would be a better option.
New Owners as of April 2015 working diligently to please customers. Announced new hours beginning May 1... Open until 9 pm and open on Sundays. My husband ordered the coconut chicken special which was made with a light coconut sauce. I had the vegetable fried rice. We shared an Asian 1 roll...beautiful presentation and delicious! Our server, Maria was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly.
My family and I just ate here and it was awesome, even more so for being just off Interstate 40 in East Tennessee! My son and wife had 3 sushi rolls and really liked them. I had the coconut chicken special which was the same chicken they would normally use for a sweet and sour chicken dish, but was instead tossed in a coconut cream sauce that was extremely good! I highly recommend this place!

I grew up in Los Angeles, and lived there most my life. Lacosta is the real deal. As authentic as home from start to finish.
The food is good, nothing special but good. Tuesday is $1 Taco Day and the Tacos are delicious... Well worth your time . It's a nice little restaurant located within the mall.
Above average Mexican food. We came on a $1 taco special from our resort. Just a meat toco was available, so the time we added beans and rice it wasn't much of a deal!!

Food was excellent! We had: A tantalizing Pork Chop special with two sides & salad, prepared perfectly. Catfish special fillets, lightly breaded and fried well. Cajun Grouper, with Shrimp & lastly Chicken BLT sandwich. (bread had a little mold on it... which removed the last star from the review) Great atmosphere, live music on the deck. Service was friendly, but disorganized. Definitely worth a try, but avoid if you are in a hurry.
