I love getting down with a tall boy PBR while belting out Journey on the Karaoke machine at Kelly's. This is a dingy little bar where you can hang out and get a cheap drink after spending too much money on dinner at Blackhorse. This place is great, but it fills up with cigarette smoke as the night goes on and I end up leaving before I want to in order to find fresh air.

Came here on NYE because we decided to stay in town. I was super disappointed upon entering this place. My husband and I went home early on NYE just because this bar drained our spirits. It literally smells like a straight up ashtray with 100 smoking cigarettes in it. EVERYTHING you think about taking into this place will smell horrible. Also, its so dark you can barely see anything. I am not sure if they always do this, or just NYE but the music was so loud we couldnt even enjoy our convo with the guests. We will not be coming back here,

This place used to be my favorite bar in town.. it was a great place to go to hang out with friends an possibly meet some interesting people. Since it came under different ownership .. it has gone waaaaay down hill. Still just as dirty(which i didnt mind) but they tried to "class up" the place an sent it spiraling into the ground.. terrible place. .. dont waste your time.

Dirty, small, smells funny, and have a tendency to charge you more than you spent if using a card...think of Paddys from "Always sunny in Philadelphia".

Wow this place! We came in here one night after leaving the black horse and boy was that a mistake. It's a tiny place in a scary area. The people who seemed to be the regulars were a bunch of older drunks. The drink selection wasn't great and it was pricier than it definitely should have been. We could only spend 30 minutes here because the smell of cigarette smoke was so intolerable we got headaches and called it an early night. Don't waste your time or money.

People who trash talk Kelly's suck.... Kelly's is literally the best bar I've ever been to, and the women who say, it's just a bunch of angry drunk men, and they don't feel safe there, you are crazy! Any time you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, the staff is really great about protecting you, and kicking the creepers out if need be... The drinks are good, they cost just as much as any other bar- smokey, yes... divey, yes.... but seriously, It's a bar! A place the hopeless go to get drunk! Come sing Bohemian Rapsody with me and my girl EggFlip on just about any weekend! It'll be a good time, especially if you get to meet us, a couple of the favorite regulars xoxoxoxo

Not a bad little bar if you bring a scuba tank. I don't mind drinking here, but don't enjoy the need to wash myself and anything that I brought through the door. Being in TN, most bars are smoky but this place takes it to the next level. Besides that it's a solid three. The place has been remodeled, or at least repainted. It's much lighter in there now that the walls aren't black. There is always an interesting crowd and the service is pretty good from the bar tenders. Beware, I often see it get rowdy in here.

Everything keeps going down hill. Recently walked past a sign advertising a drink called the "Date Grape". Tacky and trivializing of rape. Service is usually terrible and the prices keep going up. Do yourself a favor and drink at home.

This bar is an absolute nightmare. The top of the drink menu boasts the "Date Grape" which is a disgusting pun that makes a complete mockery of the severity of date rape. The owner had been confronted on multiple occasions about how offensive this was and basically shrugged it off as if the rape reference was "simply not there" and then continued to advertise this drink as a special on their facebook page and their signs outside of the bar.

This bar on Franklin is not as classy as Blackhorse, but it's a fun atmosphere with local talent performing some classic songs. There is a pool table in the back.

This is a lively pub, with many draft beers and a full bar, although no food, and prices are reasonable. The bartenders are friendly. The crowd is very young, about college age (over 21, of course), and most of them seem to be regulars who know each other. They have karaoke from 10 pm to ~ 3 am Wed-Sat. My first awareness of the pub was on the Saturday before Halloween. I had a ticket for the midnight performance of The Rocky Horrow Show a block down the street and had arrived early, so I dropped in at Kelly's Pub. People were in costume and they were all having so much fun I was almost sorry I had to go to see the play. I spoke with the KJ for a few minutes and he was very nice. People were singing in the usual way people sing karaoke, and it looked like a lot of fun. I decided to come back on Halloween. On Halloween, the bar was the same, the crowd about the same, but the KJs were different. They were nice enough, I suppose, but for some reason could not believe that I had actually come there to sing along with the others. Probably a misunderstanding -- I did get to sing a couple of songs, and all's well that ends well. The worst part of the karaoke was that the PA system for the singers was turned down so low even I could not hear the others, and I was right there by them, and the fact that there is no "book" -- they said tell us what you want to sing and we will tell you if we have it. (!!!!) I am probably spoiled by karaoke and pubs in the San Francisco Bay area and Silicon Valley, where I am now, but I will never forget Halloween at Kelly's Pub!
