Ordered there because I received the menu in the mail. After waiting an hour, I called to check on the status. They said I lived far away and there was traffic. I live less than 10 miles. Beef teriyaki sticks were not made with beef (tasted and smelled foul), sesame chicken was decent. Will not go back due to lack of communication on delivery time.

Cheap and good. Very very consistent. I worked in Maryland Farms for over a year and ate there many times. It was always very good.

Overall had a great experience with my delivery. The food arrived faster than the quoted time. It was one of the better chinese places in the area. Price was a little more, but definitely worth it.

The woman on the other end of the phone that took my order had all the charm of a prison inmate. Pretty quick turnaround on the delivery, delivery guy came to my room (some dont) and my food SMELLED pretty good. I said "smelled", because I couldn't eat 2/3 of my meal because there were no utensils in my bag. If you're reading this No.1, it's safe to assume a guy calling from a hotel probably doesn't have utensils or napkins at their disposal. Spring roll was pretty good. I was told they don't carry beverages, which I hope was a case of her not understanding me, because come on....what restaurant, take out or otherwise, doesn't carry drinks?

Ordered delivery. It arrived very quickly within 15 minutes. I ordered beef and shrimp fried rice with a shrimp egg roll. The beef pieces were very tiny. The rice lacked salt all together. The rice still had globs that were white were of course with fried rice you expect it all to be "fried". The shrimp egg roll was over cooked and way too too crisp. This was below average Chinese take out.

Easy for lunch but just average. Has very limited seating and can be very hot during summer months.

Best Chinese restaurant I have found in Nashville. They may sound rushed over phone, but I have been there to pick up food and they are very busy which I think is the reason. Place is clean inside and food prepared fresh. I recommend.

Over an hour and a half to get deliver - 3 calls to restaurant. Good food, though having to wait this long is just wrong - get it together!

Chicken & broccoli was decent. The egg rolls were so, so (not too much variety--very monochromatic taste-wise). Chicken & cashews was made with weird chicken--which really seemed odd given the chicken used on C & B. It took a tad over 20 minutes to get the food, but I guess worth it. Probably worth checking out if you want a little variety and you live in the area. (3.85 out of 5).

Take out spicy chicken fried rice and hot & sour soup were good. Inexpensive and quick.

Fast cheap Chinese take out. This is a second location located in a strip mall in Brentwood. Very typical chinese take out. Nothing to write home about but good none the less. Will make this my go to place for Chinese take out on the way home from work. Quick easy and convenient

Just moved to Brentwood and found this delivery restaurant. My husband and I thought it was really good! If you're not wanting to leave the house/couch, call this place and order! It will be a perfect night in!

Food...good, but not awesome. Service...great. Take-out experience. The Gentleman who answered the phone was friendly, polite and helpful, and even repeated the order back to be certain he would get it right. When we arrived to pick up the order, his 2 little girls tried to be helpful and were adorable. Food was ready when we arrived, as promised. Gen Tso" ckn was not very spicy, but very flavourful. Sweet & sour ckn was perfect. Both steamed & fried rice were good. Beef w/Chinese vegetables will not be on our list of "reorder-able" items nor will the BBQ spare ribs. Good egg rolls, tho. We will order from here again.

One of our favorite hole in the wall, cheap Chinese joints normally. We eat here once a week. I can even overlook the fact that the lady who answers the phone and takes orders has the charm and wit of a death row prison guard. But they must have changed cooks or something. Tonight everything was undercooked, bordering on raw when it comes to the dumplings, and flavorless pork fried rice. Ugh --- usually our favorite! Branching out next time we have the craving, I guess.

I say this often in my reviews...I'm rating based on the type of restaurant. My expectations of No 1 Chinese are to be met that the food is delivered timely and the food is consistent...I'm not expecting outrageously awesome Chinese cuisine. With that said, although the lady answering the phone does not, in fact have much of a personality, as mentioned in previous reviews, she has never screwed up my order and she is quite efficient... The food always come hot, the taste is consistent, and the delivery is very quick, as related to the time of day (1130-1230 is a bit slower, but acceptable). 4 Stars, as I am a fan of quick delivery for when I'm stuck in my office...

No frills. Great food. This is the first Chinese place in Brentwood/Franklin that I feel like the egg roll tastes fresh. It's very good. Lunch is good value at $4.95.

Always quick service and I do have my favorites! Mai Fun is mine and Hubby will switch around. Wish they would give a fresh menu with every order as ours is about marked up to the extent possible! Otherwise, everything is always hot, delivered quickly and always is quite tasty. I moved here from San Diego where the Chinese/Asian food is quite different, but I do enjoy this restaurant which is more in line with NY style Chinese food.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
