Just ate at this location, had NY strip and Porterhouse stks which were done perfectly. Service great also. Would return often if we lived in Nashville!

I've been to this particular LongHorn three times. The menu and quality is as you would expect from any other LongHorn. The restaurant is clean and the service is attentive. As with most all chain restaurants of this type, it is extremely busy - expect a wait if you go during peak times. My only gripe is that I did not order the prime rib this most recent time because they only had it available as done or well done because they had cooked it too much that day. The waitress was nice and knowledgeable enough to tell me about that ahead of time though instead of just giving me the wrong doneness.

Wanted to write a quick review former the great experience I had tonight at the longhorn in Brentwood. Food was good and consistent with other Longhorn locations, but what really stood out was the staff. Pamela was friendly and attentive, even going out of her way to indulge in a small conversation. What really portrayed the awe factor was the managing partner Dago Melendez. I was flying solo but he still stopped by my table not once but twice to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. He also gave me his card. He did such a great job that a guy from another table turned around and stated how impressed he was with Dago. This then sparked a great conversation with this gentleman and his wife. More restaurants need managers like this. I didn't give it 5 stars because they didn't have the mushroom soup even though it was on the menu. Longhorn, if you are reading this get more Dagos!

LongHorn Steakhouse has a rep for providing great steaks and delightful meal choices and this one holds true to that! Pro's: Nice setup i particularly like the stained shiny wood dinner tables...it may be weird but there's something about it that makes me feel homely :) Our waiter was prompt and very very kind. She explained any and all questions we had. Our food was great! Cooked exactly how we asked. Con's: Now I don't know if this is such a bad thing for anyone else but i particularly don't want a picture of a cow/steer in my boot right before i order a steak...just had a small level of guilt as I bite into my juicy steak but quickly overcame it as each bite was more flavorful then the next...sorry cow :( Will defiantly be back!

I went here last year because their commercials had great-looking specials at reasonable prices. But I couldn't find any reasonably priced steaks on the menu they gave me and ended up spending a lot more than I wanted. I felt took. I thought I'd try them again but wanted to verify their menu online first. This was frustrating because each page had only four items. I gave up. So I wanted to give them some feedback. Their comment form required my life history, mother's maiden name, any birthmarks or tattoos (I exaggerate, but only a little). When I finally hit the Submit button, it gave me an error and wouldn't accept my comment. I realize that the website isn't run by the Brentwood restaurant but, after my first experience, it prevented from going there again.

Fast service with great bread and spread. Food is always hot, fresh and so very tasty. Nice list of beverages and wine. Beer on tap to keep it simple.

Acceptable food and great service. My steak was slightly overdone (not enough to send back), and the grilled shrimp were just OK. Beware the tortilla soup: as a Texan who loves hot stuff this stuff is pretty spicy. We tried an assortment of desserts: molten lava cake was good and everything else was mediocre (cheesecake, Apple stuff, chocolate roundup).

Pam was my awesome server- I had 8oz sirloin and asparagus spears- both cooked to perfection. Value plus

Really good!!! Kinda like an Outback Steakhouse but it was great! I had the flat iron steak with grilled asparagus. Nice. Try the blackstone craft beer.

The manger is really nice and welcoming. My steak was undercooked. The server tried to argue about the temp... believe me I know my steaks. Having to have the steak re-cooked screwed up the flow of our whole meal. After I sent my steak back the server ignored our table. On the very rare occasion that something is wrong with a meal, it's always nice if the restaurant offers a dessert, beverage, or to take the item off the bill. I always decline because I'm not looking for anything but to get what I paid for. The server at Longhorn did nothing. The manager did not come by to check on everything after the complaint either. That should always happen. It's not that the food is terrible... it's pretty good. It's just not worth the what Longhorn charges for okay food and service.

Surprise! I ate here, again. I was surprised at the crowd of people at lunch. I'm not really familiar with this restaurant chain, and now I've eaten here twice, since moving to Nashville! Today, I had a bacon - cheddar burger with the upgraded parmesan fries. $11. My friend had the 6oz filet with sweet potato. My burger was good. Lettuce was wilted and limp, burger patty was very large and a good inch thick, french fries were ample. Not the best I've had, but they were adequate. Friend said her filet was too small. It was thinner than my burger patty. But..... we ate our food, it was decent for a quick lunch, a/c was cranking, tables were full, waitresses were very busy and handled the crowd very well. Water glasses were kept replenished, dirty dishes were removed promptly. It's a habitually decent chain restaurant with consistently decent food with large servings. I go here because I don't have to go far. I have friends and family that live within spitting distance of this restaurant and that is why I go here....... Convenience and consistently decent food, with late hours.

Good location off I 65. Strengths Very good steaks. Friendly service. Bar area with TVs. Opportunities The bread plates were wet form the dish washer. Had to manually dry them. Long time for food to come out. Not ideal for lunch. Summary Not the best steaks in Nashville. Go 5 minutes to Cool Springs for J Alexander's or Stoney River. Or downtown to Kayne Prime. However not a bad choice for an evening out.

I'm disappointed in my dinner. I paid $25 for a tilapia and shrimp dinner. Not only was the fish very small and thin, but the cook forgot the shrimp. The waitress had to double check twice that I didn't have any shrimp with my meal, and when the chef finally agreed to make some, I only received 3 that were burned. I won't be returning here again.

Thank you Longhorn Steakhouse for saving our dinner tonight! We just left a Tepanyaki grill for horrid service and gross food. Appetizers and service were so bad we left but thank goodness because we got to try Longhorn's instead! We started with the crab and artichoke dip and it was served with fried pita crisps and was really cheesy and yummy. Bread was really good too. I ordered the prime rib with rice pilaf and the chicken tortilla soup. Fiancé ordered ribeye with Mac n cheese and loaded potato. My soup was soooo good. It was hearty with a good spicy kick but not too spicy. Entrees were excellent. Fiancé really enjoyed his ribeye he said it was very flavorful and would order it again. My prime rib was so soft I barely needed the knife to cut it. We were so full we could not even finish our entrees and had to take it to go. Next time we may skip appetizers so we could enjoy entrees and order dessert. Also service was excellent! We didn't need to ask for a refill once and she even recommended other entrees for our next visit. I will update this review later with our waitress's name (I need to find it on the receipt). If you haven't tried this restaurant or maybe had a less than stellar experience, give it a go! We're sure glad we did!

It's a chain, but it's not bad. What you'd expect at a chain steakhouse; decent serviceable steaks, decent service, but it's still a chain. I don't crave the place, but will be back when I don't have time for an extended dining experience. Each time we've been there the air conditioning has been set way too cold. Management won't fix; think they're looking to turn tables by freezing you out. That takes one star away.

    (3)
  • David S.

Cold as described by another recent reviewer? No. Tonight, the place is almost uncomfortably warm, humid...and it smells bad...a bit like old dive. Air conditioning problems? Listening to people asking to warm it up? Far and away from a great first impression, but...every place has its ups and downs. No? It's Happy Hour and the tables are filling away from the less busy bar. Must not be a traditional HH gathering spot. Steakhouse martini: vodka, a little dirt, olives sleeping with the bleus. Up. Happy. But this is a steakhouse, right? So, I order the Calamari. Nice. Crisp. A bit on the oily side, but nice (it could use hotter oil or a longer drip time, but I've definitely had worse elsewhere. ) It's a meal for two or snacks for four. I munch on alone. The ginger-chili sauce is on the hot end of the scale. A bit too warm, but it works. Another martini calls for more food. Let's be fair. It's a steakhouse, no? I order the lobster and shrimp chowder. So, sue me! What this place calls a bowl is a cup in other joints, but the chowder is tasty. It's also packing some heat (nice, but it could really do without.) Verdict? This place is for folk. Hungry folk. No beautiful people here and it's jamb-packed full o'folk. Staff are nice and the food's still moving out of the kitchen in herds. Not bad. Not bad at all. But, that smell...well, it's finally being overrun by the kitchen.

Absolutely the nicest wait staff of any restaurant! We had to wait a while because it was valentines day. So obviously this was to be expected...but we were seated in a little over an hour and a half. While we waited I ordered a drink and it came out super fast which was shocking because they were so crowded! So the wait staff was on too of it! As for the food, you cannot get a better steak for a better price! The food is so yummy! I had the salmon and asparagus and it blew me away. So flavorful! You should call ahead or make reservations if they are taking them that night. Longhorn never ceases to amaze me. The food is excellent and the staff is very polite.

Great decor Food average The best part of the crab and artichoke dip was the delightful morsel of bread they serve with the dip

first time at this location. Service was great. Ordered the fried green tomatoes which were actually fried red tomatoes. Big difference with that dish. Wasnt impressed. My finace had the filet and i had the sirloin. I ordered mine medium and it was cooked perfectly, the filet was ordered medium and was borderline rare but we ate anyways. I suppose undercooking is better than overcooking. Great steaks, not the best ive ever had, but very good. The reason for 3 stars is the tomatoes, the undercooking, and the place was pretty dirty, paper on floor, bathrooms were hideous. It also smelled weird up near the bar area. Id still return as all the issues could have just been an off night. Def worth stopping in to cure you carnivorious needs.

The service was excellent (waiter came by every 15 minutes). All I had was a side caesar salad and a fantastic French onion soup, but why the four stars? The waiter gave me a free long island!!! I ordered at the bar and waited for a friend. Upon arrival, she wanted to sit in a booth, so we moved. I asked the bartender if the tab could be moved, and he said it'd be fine. The waiter never moved the tab, and when I told him about the missing drink, he said not to worry about it. He said another customer earlier ordered a drink but didn't use the drink (not sure how that works, but I didn't inquire further), so I didn't need to pay for my long island. SWEET!

I will be short on this one.....It is a SOLID steak house. The meat was prepared properly and to temp, the app and sides were great. The servers worked well together. Our server ( Shelby F.) was exceptional, friendly and controlled the pace of our meal assuring we were done with one course before presenting the next. solid experience for my first visit, will add to our regular rotation.

Store was ok, the service was poor and the food was cold, this not the typical Long Horn experience I am accustomed too. Would not re-visit this particular store again, to many other choices in the great town ot Nashville/Brentwood so why chance it on something that is just so-so? :)

OMG slowwwwwww Went in for lunch with my wife. We got sat right away near the kitchen door, I should have known then it was going to be trouble. We both order lunch 1/2 sand with soup or a salad. It took 33 mins (yes I time my food). The waiter even new it was taking long as he stopped to say it was ready to come out then disappeared for another 10 mins and had another person bring the food (lame). The food was good but the service ruined the total lunch experience. There was no pre-bussing of the table plates and glassware just stacked up. Finally another waiters saw the table and came and cleared it. Near saw a manager walk the floor (hiding in the office most likely). If you go keep a low expectations and you will be fine. We will give them another try I'm sure, but not to soon. Check was $29.45 for 2 no cocktails.

I used to really like Long Horn. I'm from Atlanta, and I was going to the original location 20+ years ago. I've watched them grow into a huge chain. Most are still good, but this location is not. I've been here many times, and have finally given up. I'm not basing this on one bad experience. Across the board, the food is just not very good here. Steaks, in particular, are regularly not cooked right. They are typically way over-cooked. Medium comes out almost well done, time after time. Where Long Horn used to provide really high quality steaks, this location seems to have trended down to some tough cuts. Add the overcooking and you might as well get a steak from Crapplebee's. Yes, really. The service is okay, but not good. It's a bunch of young people, some with better personalities than others, but not really cares. It's got that corporate, big-chain feel to it, like the manager would rather complete his corporate sales spreadsheet than walk the floor to be sure customers are happy. Skip it.

This was my first time to dine at Longhorn Steakhouse. We were seated next to an extended table where a very noisy family occasion was being celebrated. Before we could even voice a request to move, one of the waitresses or floor managers came to our table to ask if we would like to move to a quieter spot. Plus #1. I ordered a martini, but was served a dirty martini. The waitress immediately apologized and brought me the correct, and very well made, martini. Plus #2. My daughter's mojita was too sweet, but she didn't complain. The bartender suddenly materialized and asked how her drink was. She told him and received another less sweet version in it's place. Plus #3. The steaks were not the absolute best I have ever had, but were close. The prices were reasonable, and the food was very good. Plus #4. The staff, however, were the best I have encountered in a very long time. I will definitely return to this Longhorn location, and would recommend it without qualification. Lately, I have suffered a long stretch of poor food and worse service, so these folks were a very pleasant change of pace.

Good service; everyone is very friendly. The food is delicious every time I go here (which is probably every other month at least); I had "Flo's Filet" (medium well) most recently and it was superb! Cooked right and it was very moist; no sauce needed. I ordered their Sweet Potato Fries as the side and they made fresh ones...but they were very crispy; not my favorite this time. I love coming here and will continue to do so! :)

Really, I should have known better. But my girlfriend's dad wanted steak and this was the place that they picked. One word that should steer you away immediately: MICROWAVE Steak... meh. Not terrible, but definitely not worth the $20 they're charging you. I asked for the macaroni and cheese as a side. They asked if I wanted to the "signature version" which added bacon. I said to just give me the regular kind. The "regular" kind is the Kraft "easy mac" straight from the Microwave. Of course I sent it back and asked for the rice instead. It made me laugh, genuinely, b/c they brought out a bowl of Uncle Ben's instant microwave rice from the pouch. Lol, no joke. I've been a single guy long enough to know "easy mac" by the name brand. And I used to eat Uncle Ben's microwave rice pouch daily. Now that I've got a job, I'm paying to eat like poor college kid. Funny... but never again. Is anything worst than a restaurant that serves "regret?"

Excellent food. Excellent service. We went for Sunday lunch - first time for me to go, and I was very favorably impressed. Hubby got the steak and I got the stuffed trout and both were absolutely amazing. Wait staff was very attentive and personable. Atmosphere was nice, even though the place was crowded, it was not too noisy. Prices are about right too. Highly recommend.

We had an overall good experience but it was a shakey start and middle. The server was a young man who seemed new to waiting tables. The food was fantastic as always. The first thing he did that was - and this may not be a problem for anyone else - he caughed and wyped his nose with his hand. When a server does this I start thinking about how he is going to be handling my food with that hand, I have a vivid imagination and it runs wild with seeing bacteria marching around on his arm and hand. So funny but unappetizing. He spoke very little and was sort of gruff, the last thing that was off putting was when he brought the food to the table a different server was doing something at our table so he set our food down on a table with dirty dishes and left over food from the pervious diners. We tipped him ok for us. It would have been 20% but instead we gave 17%. We know what it is like being new to something and serving people isn't the easiest work and I tend to be picky. I didn't tell the manager so I guess i wasn't totally turned off by everything, like I said the food was awesome. I have eaten there at least 20 other times and had a wonderful experience. They do have a staff that is normally better trained from my experiences. I hope this helps someone.

Longhorn has been a Nashville fixture for a very long time but the franchise has been on a decline for years now. They keep tweaking their menu without success and prices have skyrocketed. I remember when you could get a decent prime rib for 15 bucks. Now it's 20 for a sub-par piece of meat. They used to have some of the best wings in town. They've been off the menu for about 5 years now. My most recent visit tonight was a true disappointment. Let's go around the table and discuss the flaws in our meals. I normally love their chili. Tonight, my chili was boiling hot and obviously old. It was also too sweet. I did not finish it. My salad was tolerable but smaller than it used to be. Diner # 2 had salmon and vegetables. She specified no seasoning on the vegetables. It arrived with seasoning. Took 5 minutes for a replacement. Salmon was overcooked and dry. The side of mac and cheese ordered was terrible. Tasted of sharp cheddar, Kraft style. Diner # 3 had no issues. Diner #4 ordered a ribeye medium rare with fried potatoes. Came rare with the wrong side. They reheated the steak that was cut into and served it burned but cooked properly on the inside. Diner # 4 complained that it was chewy but since she was 10 minutes behind everyone else at the table, gamely ate on. It wasn't until Diner # 4 was almost done when I took a look at the meat. It was a NY Strip, not a ribeye. Basic mistake and very stupid of the steakhouse. It's a steakhouse and they gave her the wrong cut of meat. Shame. She was almost done so she just shrugged her shoulders and we moved on. Diner #5 had the prime rib and it was dry and chewy. Not great. Service was slow and inattentive. Drinks took 15 minutes too long after we sat down. When you could get a steak at a reasonable price, Longhorn was the place to eat. Now that the menu is strange and prices have skyrocketed, there are better options. J. Alexanders now has a similar price point and they offer a much better product.

I am a huge fan of Longhorn restaurants! But, Brentwood has a special place in my heart. My boyfriend frequented this place so much that he became friends with many of the servers. When he and I first met, he took me there to meet "his friends". His friends became my friends, and we ate there at least 2 times a week for a year. I love the people. The manager (Dago) is so nice, and our favorite server is Pam. The place is so clean, and its one of the nicer Longhorns in the area in my opinion. They pay attention to detail. My server remembers my order from the last time, and asks if I still want that particular item (I'm a pretty routine eater in that my choices stay the same the majority of the time). She knows I NEVER want a refill, even if my drink is empty because I do not drink with my meals. Also, they let me order children's grilled chicken and do not make a deal out of the fact that I don't eat a lot. My boyfriend's glass remains full at all times, and they know how he likes his steak and of course, what salad dressing he wants (he too is a routine eater). This is an awesome place. I have moved away from that location and I miss it very much. But, we have found a Longhorn in our area that we love as well.

From business meetings, casual hamburger lunches (which #nashburger friends need to try), or Flo's Fillet with the new(ish) mac n' cheese... Longhorn is your good ol' steakhouse chain with plenty of solid surprises. Salads are very good - fairly simple - but dressings and produce are consistently excellent. Ask for Pam's section and don't forget the Blackberry tea - hidden gem here folks! (PS Would love to see some upgrades for those rare occasions when we're just doing dessert)

Since we lost the Longhorn near Music Row, this one is the closest retreat for those of us who live in the urban district. I've never had bad service here. Ever. They always happily accommodate my and my family's strange food augments from the menu. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect, horned light fixtures and all. The parking and access here is absolutely horrid if you're coming from downtown or the west. You take your life into your own hands every time you enter this parking lot. Be careful, but enjoy the food!

  • Nathan K.

I've been here about a half dozen times & the food and service is generally pretty good. I've had experiences that were 3.75 and others that were 4.5. I honestly mostly get the chicken dishes (Sierra Chicken--with Tomatoes and Encrusted Chicken--with melted cheese. I happen to prefer the former....but to each her own....). One of my 6 or so times coming here I had a bad experience with the coconut shrimp....said something to the waitress....and it was 100% fixed. Yep....glad to frequent Long Horn. Oh...and they have fruit teas like raspberry, if you're into that kinda jive. One of the only steakhouses I can think of the area (although I don't know that part of Franklin Road particularly well.)

I was in and out the other day so I don't have a lot to say, but I will give two thumbs up to the staff there. They are plesant, courteous and attentive. The food is Longhorn food, a good meal that is the same no matter if you are in Nashville or Tampa. But there staff here is GREAT!! My only gripe isn't really with the restaurant, but with the location. That little shopping center is impossible to get in and out of safely so I avoid it when at all possible, but I will risk it to go back.

  • Fay G.

Our first visit to a Longhorn, and as my hubby says, " I would not race to go back there." The food was tasty enough, a bit expensive. Our server didn't seem to enjoy his job, was brusque and a bit inattentive. Better steak and chicken sandwiches in my kitchen.....

  • Torri T.

I went here recently for a business meeting, which the waiter respected and was very patient with. On top of that he was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, making a great suggestion. The food came out quickly and was well prepared, despite the fact that it was the middle of a Sunday afternoon and the place was busy. My steak was prepared as I ordered it, and my broccoli and salad came in ample portions. We stayed for well over an hour and the entire time our server checked on us without being pushy. Overall, this was a great experience and I was happy with the service I received.
