Was looking for a sports bar to watch hockey.....in Brentwood. Chillis, O'Charleys and Johnnys weren't cutting it. After leaving Corner pub because it was too loud, beer wasnt cold and because service sucked, I came across Cross Corner (after a Google search). I walked in and instantly felt at home. I love the laid back vibe! Charming My friend and I sat at the bar, in perfect view of the hockey game while the bartender went through the specials and craft beers, we told him to surprise us and he nailed it. Both bartenders were very kind! Everyone sitting at the bar were regulars who also engaged my friend and I in conversations, making us feel welcome! great beer selection, I recommend the Tennessee brew works Extra Easy. Love the food. I can tell they use good ingredients, because I don't feel sick after eating it like I do at many other restaurants. Of course, I will be returning Ask the bartender/general manager to show you his toothpick magic trick! Funny guy.

I've eaten here many time before, and the food is better than average for a bar. Last night for appetizers we had the chicken wings (their best offering, and the best in Nashville) and nachos (disappointing, especially because they substituted ground beef for chicken without telling us). For dinner the weekend special (fried chicken breast, mac n cheese, and squash casserole) and the Greek salad were both very good. But the service was terrible - my companions spent more time waiting for drinks than drinking, and we received the wrong bill at the end of the night. So their food quality must be more consistent and the service must be improved before I could recommend this restaurant.

Always our go to lunch spot on the work days. The food is always good and the new menu items are great. The service is the big reason we always love coming here. Everyone is friendly and they know how to handle a bar if it's busy.

They have good food here. The burgers are big and juicy. I am a huge fan of the onion rings. Recently I had a brisket grilled cheese that was very tasty.

Service was a little slow, but there were 10 of us in our party. Burgers were AMAZING! Wings were delicious. We had several varieties: BBQ, sweet chipotle and original (very mild) that we added the insane sauce to (insane sauce is medium-hot at most). Nice selection of beers and lots of screens for sports. I'll be back to this stop next time I'm in Brentwood.

I think that reviews should generally focus on the food but I understand the need to post a review after receiving bad service. The food is actually pretty good. There are some good things on the menu; the beef brisket Reuben is my favorite. It's bar food that you would expect, probably even above average bar food, with plenty of TVs etc. However, I have been here a number of times and have never had adequate service. I'm not sure that I have ever been welcomed when I came in the door. I walked in with co-workers for lunch recently. Multiple tables were open but had not been bussed or cleaned. I promise you the servers were trying to avoid eye contact with us so that they didn't have to, you know, serve us. We left and went to Five Guys. Again, the review is based on service more than food. Probably best to avoid at lunch but probably a decent place to watch a game.

Wings and beer! We stopped in here for lunch during restaurant week. We ordered the three appetizers and a bucket of beer for this week's special. We chose wings, black bean & chicken nachos, and quesadilla for the three apps. Everything was good and there is nothing better than good wings and cold beer during football season. Speaking of football, they have many big flat panel screens to watch the games. The service was great and the prices were awesome. I know it was a restaurant week special but we got everything above for $20.12 and we were both stuffed.

Wifey was looking for a place to watch her beloved New Orleans Saints play.... The Good: Most of the sports bars cater to the stinking Tennessee Titans and neither myself or my wife are fans of them so finding a place that can accommodate for Saints fans was damn near impossible but leave it up to my wife to find a spot! Nothing really fancy about this place but i like the atmosphere, full of loud football fanatics! Just like us! Our waiter was like 11 feet tall so it was kinda hard to see every time he checked on us but he was kool as hell and did his best to get out of the way as fast as possible. I ordered chicken quesadilla and my wife ordered a cheeseburger well done....it came PINK inside but no biggie they remade her order fresh and done to her liking. Neither one of us cared for the food much but will try something different next time! The Bad: This location is ducked off in a corner so its good and bad...good cause i kinda like not everyone can find it so its not as packed! Bad cause it was sort of an pain in the ass to find when your hungry as hell!! Overall: Friendly people, decent food, great atmosphere so will return!

The staff at cross corner are always extremely accommodating!! Great bar to have some drinks and play golden tee!! The cheese dip with hamburger in it is addicting!!!!

I really wanted to rate it higher BUT the staff had this enormous arrogant waiter that was too into himself. That being said the duck game and the local talent are terrific. We will go again but if the idiot is working then we will just leave. otherwise Go Gators!!!

The food was good but service was lacking. My boyfriend ordered the roast beef sandwich and after he bit into he found the wax paper from the cheese still in the sandwich. They took it back and made a new one apologizing but he was not compted his meal at all. Nor he offered anything free like app or dessert. I will say one lady said "can I get you anything while you wait" but it was unclear if that item would be placed on the bill so we declined. Honestly the fact that nothing was offered or taken off is concerning in regards to customer service. It's not like he complained about the taste or temperature of the meal, he pointed out that he had a foreign object in his sandwich. We aren't the type of people to confront so we never said anything and we completely understand that accidents happen but good customer service goes a long way.

This place is kind of a 1970s style dump on the inside. It's kinda gross. Often smells funky by the bar area near the kitchen. Some people might call it a hole in the wall. But the food has always been good, and there's a decent beer selection. Servers are generally good. Sometimes a little slow, but usually good. Prices are reasonable. Recommended if you are ok with nothing fancy.

The wings are smoked and are great! So are the chips and salsa. We went for beer and wings and were pleased. Also ran into a local Nashville celeb there. Great place to watch sports!

A good sports bar in an area that is lacking in that department. Good beer selection, friendly bartenders, good bar food. Watched some World Cup games there and always had a good crowd. No smoking, which is always a plus. Interior makes you forget that you're in a strip mall.

This is the most quiet bar ever. Children are allowed inside. The food was meh and the drinks were mediocre at best. This is a brentwood staple apparently. It isn't for me.

Went here at 5:00 on a Wednesday. The service from start to finnish wasn't great. Not only was it slow (took 20 minutes to get our check) but when she was with us, she wasn't kind or hospitable (ie no eye contact, minimal information). The drinks were standard, nothing special as far as draft selection. The food was mediocre - people in our party got the burger, salmon salad and nachos. Everyone said it was just "ok". We ordered the 'black bean and chicken nachos" They were fine- but we got white beans and chicken.. Anyways, this area is severely lacking in sports bars and I'm excited for a Corner Pub to be opening around the corner soon. We won't be back to Cross Corner.

When I am looking for a local sports bar near my apartment, I will for sure pick Cross Corner. The amount of TVs, selection of beer and good food is on par with what a sports bar should be. Now, I usually go to this place around lunch time. It is pretty popular as a work place lunch spot because you can get in and out pretty quickly, plus the service is prompt...which who doesn't love that. I usually get any of their BBQ items. They have a smoker out back so if you are ever in the Kroger parking lot and get a whift of awesome in the air...it is coming from Cross Corner....not the grocery store. I am a big fan of the pulled pork sandwich....it even comes with homemade BBQ sauce! There are also some pool tables, darts and some old school video games if sports are not your thing.

Okay, the food is okay. But this place is tired and kind of dirty. It's dimly lighted, and I would NOT want to see it in broad daylight. Service is spotty. They generally seem under-staffed. The waitresses are hustling, and don't spend much time with you. You can run of of your drink and good luck getting a refill. They do have lots of TVs, all on sports. Finally, for a very basic bar/pub food place, it's kind of expensive. I wish Brentwood had a better sports bar.

This is a pretty good neighborhood sports bar with all the classic bar food you could want. They have a truckload of screens so there's not a bad seat in the house. The nachos are quite good and the buffalo chicken wrap is passable. There's plenty of parking since it's in a shopping center, and the prices are reasonable. They frequently have sports figures visit for radio shows, and the atmosphere is generally lively when those events are going on. The place is big enough to hold large groups if you want to bring the whole fam.

Okay, I have let this week get by without doing a review and trying One of Nashville Originals during Restaurant Week 2013...So I told Tony...when I get off from work we are going to go to "Cross Corner Bar and Grill" for our first Restaurant Week review..and of course when he hears the word BAR he is all in !!! We arrived about 4pm and the bar area was a little full and the dining area was slightly empty. The restaurant is rather large, and has a few high back wooden booths and tables scattered out on both sides of the bar layout. To a little area to the side there is a pool table with a few games, an ATM and a coin changer. There are large televisions located throughout the bar which made it like a MAN CAVE Heaven..the only think Tony didn't like was "No Smoking" but that was fine with me. I don't like cigarette smoke when I am eating. There was a great offer for Restaurant Week of 3 full size appetizers and a bucket of domestic beer for only $20.13 with taxes it was only $21.99... We opted for the "Spicy Shrimp Skewers" regularly priced for $8, "Loaded Pig Skins" which are potato skins with BBQ Pulled Pork, Cheese, onions and bacon bits with sour cream on the side..normally priced at $8, and "Holy Nachos Batman" for another $8 and the bucket of Budweiser for $20..for only $20.13..GREAT DEAL !!!! The place started filling up about 5pm. Seemed like a lot of regulars who enjoy the place. We both really enjoyed the atmosphere and the waitress were all friendly and quick. The kitchen staff was on mark tonight. The waitress also gave me a large fountain Coca Cola and she left it off the ticket.. So, it was a great gift, because I don't drink beer..but Tony enjoyed drinking down 6 beers on his own. The "Spicy Shrimp Skewers' were served with three short skewers with 2 large Jumbo shrimps that are coated in a spicy thai style sauce and grilled. It was served on a bed of crunchy chinese noodles and a salsa with corn and beans served cold. It was really good. I personally wouldn't order it again. It didn't WOW me, but it was a good dish. The "Loaded Pig Skins" were typical bar food with the Potato skin normal flair and taste but under the cheese on top of the potato meat was the BBQ Pulled Pork meat. It was a little sweet, and through us both off the taste. It is different from the traditional potato skins, but sometimes you want traditional. I am not much into a sweety taste for my savory flavors..so I would have to pass on this item. I definitely would not order again..but you might like it!! There was 6 in the order and we left 3 of them behind. I could only muster to eat one of them. Next was the "Holy Nachos Batman" ..which was pretty good. Typical chips with cheese, Jalapenos, tomatoes and onions with sour cream and salsa and topped with their house Chili..it was pretty good!!! Out of the three appetizer Items this would be the one I would re-order. If and when I eat here again, I will try a burger. I have no complaints about the restaurant other that I was NOT WOWED...I have to be "WoW'ed..." for me to want to go back...but it was a nice place..if you are looking for bar food, loud bar atmosphere, sports on the tv..and maybe a quick game of Pool...then this is your place!!! Enjoy!!! I do recommend, but there are too many restaurants in Nashville to ignore other choices!!!

Dependable place for a good burger and beer. Usually good service and fair prices. The last visit I had the Andouile Po Boy and it was pretty good. My wife had the nachos and enjoyed them. Take it for what it is... beer, burgers, sandwiches, and sports on TV and you will not be disappointed.

Strip mall bar, yes! It's one of my favorite things in the world. It's the Jersey in me, plus I am fascinated by the fact that a bar could be next to a Kroger or Family Dollar. Once inside you forget you are inside of a strip mall. It has all of the features of a sports bar, large TV's, beer, burgers, Big Buck Hunter, pool table, etc. Overall a good option when in the Brentwood area. It's not new by any means but it's also smoke free (thank god!) so it's clean. It's also a good half way point between Nashville and Franklin, sometimes you just can't make the trip!

Laid back and great beer specials. Food was definitely above par for most local bar & grill spots. Appeared to be a hoppin after work hangout. The Chicken Chipotle wrap was tasty.

Good bar food, big projector screen for sports watching. They have an extensive menu. Place is a bit dark, there's a pool table, and the location and space is big enough to accomodate larger groups. There's karaoke, and stuff like that.

I found this place on Yelp, and was looking for a new place to TRY today, since our regular foursome lunch buddies had 2 go down with illness. I had the mushroom swiss burger with caramelized onions added, with the kettle chips, and I have to tell you this was the best burger I've had in quite a long time. They cook it to order, so I ordered mine Medium Rare (which according to the food channel, is the best way to get a burger), and it was incredible. The kettle chips were great too...crispy, crunchy, and lots of them. I have to say I am THOROUGHLY impressed with this place. My other two friends had the soup of the day which was jalapeno cheese soup, and he said it was perfect....the right amount of heat for him, then he had the ham and chicken sandwich, which he also enjoyed. My other friend had the brisket grilled cheese sandwich with fries, and he too was very impressed with his meal. The service was slightly above average, but it was after 1:00 p.m. on a Friday, so it wasn't crowded (one of the reasons we went to a late lunch) Overall, I am very pleased with this new addition to our Friday lunch rotation. 2 THUMBS UP for this place!!

Cross Corner is at times a little less bar and a little more grill. They have good salads, good burgers, and their french dip is very nice (though it is a little small when compared to the portion sizes of other dishes). I particularly like their homemade potato chips - better than fries any day! The beer selection is decent, and I've never had a bad experience with their staff.

Find a pulse - win a prize! The door creaked open and we soaked in the sports bar vibe.. Well.... kind of, the decor and food were .....zzzzzzz sorry I dozed off there. (verdict? bland on both counts) But the crowd... well....Lets just say that draft beer and heart meds were fueling the geriatric groove. Yes, there is a pool table, some 1980's video games and I bet some canasta... Somewhere, but all in all its a sleepy vibe with forgettable fare. Don't get me wrong, there are some that will find this a happy hunting ground... You know who you are, so come get your cougar on boys, but I'll warn ya there is also a sea of denture snappin daddies that may lay a cane on ya. Proceed with caution! To be fair, this was after only one visit. :-)

Update: Some good menu changes. The dinner salad gets a great improvement. Fries are good. Some new items on the menu. This food is tight for a sports bar. Plus, unlike McGuiness Pub it's non smoking, so you don't have to choke on smoke while you get some bar grub. It's low key, so if you are into ironic eyeglass wearing hipster doofuses, you won't like it.

had the Asian salad with chicken and it rocked. Last time I had fried pickles..yummmo! Their fries are outstanding are so are their sweet potato fries. I had their wings the first time I went there and they were great.

I stumbled upon this bar on an evening excursion to the Fedex store. The traffic was insane going back toward my place so I searched a bar/restauraunt and this was right there. I came into the bar in the middle of happy hour. There were a lot of business people fresh out of work getting drinks and sharing stories, everyone was extremely friendly. The beer selection was very good and on this particular night very cheap. I then decided to have dinner and the bartender recommended the burger and this was an excellent choice! Best burger I've had since arriving in the Nashville area. Good people, good beer, and great burgers, cant beat it!

Nasty! The service was atrocious. We practically had to throw a catch net over our waitress to have any attention paid to us. She said she'd bring something, and if she did, it would be ten minutes later. We gave up asking and flagged down one of the food servers who sort of laughed and so "Oh, did your waitress disappear?" as if this happens a lot. Food was pretty bad too.

You'll always be able to find your game on a Sunday and they have great food. It's not the rowdy college scene you'll find downtown but sometimes you don't want that, right?!

This place has the BEST Potato Salad in town by far, maybe the best I ever had. Made in-house too like a lot of their excellent, qualtiy food. Lots of items, sandwiches, dinners and appetizers to choose from and this is not your normal sports type bar food. I have sometimes wanted to order a salad here but the only light or fat free dressing they have is light ranch and that is my only criticism. Friendly staff and lots of tvs. I understand it is the home bar for a couple of non-local NFL and college teams like Florida or FSU so might get real crowded during those games. It is located in Brentwood tucked back behind the Kroger on Franklin Road in a open type mall that also houses Peter's Sushi, Five Guys, etc... April, 2011 UPDATE: I've had their pulled pork BBQ now 3-4 times (I order mine on whole wheat) and it is the BEST I maybe have ever had.including much better than Whitt's. It has a tasty, sweet tangy sauce lightly baked right into it it seems. And if you're watching calories get the grilled veggies on the side instead of fries....mmm. The cooks here must be on loan from a 5 star restaurant as this is not your normal sports bar food. Daily specials too.

Great place to have a good burger and watch the game with friends. I'm a big fan of their bacon cheeseburger and the chicken philly isn't bad either. If you're looking for a good sports bar with just the right atmosphere then Cross Corner is the place for you.
